WWE taped the following matches in Austin, Texas on Tuesday night for this week’s edition of WWE Main Event.
– The Dudley Boyz def. The Ascension in a tag-team dark match put on for the live crowd in Austin, Texas. The Dudleyz picked up the win via pinfall after a 3D.
– Sasha Banks def. Brie Bella in the first match taped for WWE Main Event this week. Banks picked up the win via her submission finisher.
– Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman def. The Prime Time Players in tag-team action for the second match of Main Event. Strowman won the match via bearhug submission over Titus O’Neil.
– Kevin Owens def. Neville in non-title action. The Intercontinental Champion beat Neville after throwing him face-first into the middle turnbuckle and then hitting him with his Pop-Up Powerbomb finisher for the 1-2-3. This was the final match taped for this week’s Main Event.
– Erick Rowan made his WWE television return at Monday’s WWE Hell In A Cell “go-home” edition of RAW. Rowan returned early into the show during a segment where Roman Reigns brawled with the Wyatt Family. He returned later in the show for the main event, which saw him team with Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman to take on the team of Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins.
– There was an exchange between WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley and WWE Superstar Adam Rose on Twitter on Monday where each guy put over the other guy. The exchange got started after Rose was asked by a fan who his biggest inspiration was. Rose was quick to respond, “Mick Foley. In and out of the ring.” Foley responded to Rose’s tweet by saying, “Thank you. It doesn’t get much better than having the respect and admiration of your colleagues.”
– Although it has been rumored that highly-regarded independent wrestler Tommaso Ciampa has signed with WWE, Ciampa is claiming otherwise. As we reported via F4WOnline.com earlier today, as of Sunday, Ciampa had yet to officially sign the dotted line on an actual WWE contract. Ciampa wrote the following on social media regarding the rumors.
– There has been some speculation going around that new Wyatt Family member Braun Strowman may have injured Jack Swagger at the WWE live event in Bangor, Maine on Saturday night. The match ended last night with Strowman picking up the win via choke, however past that, not a lot of specifics are available. We hope to have an update for you in the near future.
– In the following backstage video interview from Saturday’s WWE MSG live special in New York, WWE Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens talks about retaining his title over Chris Jericho, taking shots at Kyle Edwards’ hair and Jericho’s milestone in the process.
At the WWE Night Of Champions pay-per-view on Sunday night, a fan hit the ring while viewers waited to find out who the mystery partner would be for Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose.
The fan stood next to Reigns and Ambrose in the ring before being tackled and taken out by security. This was, oddly enough, the second time in the past few weeks that Ambrose in particular has been involved at a WWE event where a fan jumped the guard rail.
You can view a grainy screen shot photo of the fan in the ring during the match below.
UPDATE: WWE has issued a statement regarding the fan hitting the ring during WWE Night Of Champions on Sunday night. Read what WWE had to say by clicking here.
For those wondering, the mystery partner for Reigns and Ambrose ended up being Chris Jericho, who acted like a bit of a heel after the trio lost to The Wyatt Family when Jericho was submitted by Braun Strowman.
You can view Jericho’s post-match heel antics below.
– WWE is running a new poll on their official website asking fans who the scariest member of The Wyatt Family is. The options include Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman, Luke Harper and the mysterious Sister Abigail. While Strowman came in first with 47 percent of the vote, the unknown Sister Abigail isn’t far behind with 30 percent of the vote. Oddly enough, Wyatt, the leader of the group only has 17 percent. You can vote on the poll at WWE.com.
– WWE Superstar R-Truth has released his new single, “Pump It Up,” which is available on iTunes. Truth posted the following tweet on Thursday to promote the song.
– New Wyatt Family member Braun Strowman celebrates his 32nd birthday today. Strowman was born on September 6, 1983. Also celebrating birthdays today are former WWE Diva Jillian Hall (35), former WWE Superstar Low Ki (36), WWE Hall Of Famer Wendi Richter (54) and former WWE Superstar The Barbarian (57).
– For whatever this is work, longtime WWE employee Tony Chimel returned to his position as ring announcer at the WWE live event in Wildwood, New Jersey on Saturday night. Eden did the ring announcing for the WWE live event in Charlottesville, Virginia, and Dasha Fuentes handled the NXT ring announcing.
– WWE World Heavyweight Champion and WWE United States Champion Seth Rollins did not work this weekend’s WWE live events as he was on vacation with his girlfriend Zahra Schreiber. Rollins and Schreiber were in the Dominican Republic, however Rollins is headed back to the U.S. today so that he can be in Baltimore, Maryland for Monday’s edition of WWE RAW.
Originally, the man expected to fulfill the role as the third “mystery” member of the team of Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose to take on The Wyatt Family trio consisting of Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper and Braun Strowman, was “The Icon” Sting.
Instead, as noted in our original report, the leading candidate at this point as the mystery member of the Reigns-Ambrose team is none other than former Wyatt Family member Erick Rowan.
It should be noted that until further notice, this should be taken strictly as speculation at this point.

WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross recently updated his official blog, commenting on a number of current news stories and topics from the wrestling world. Below are some of the highlights.
On the Jimmy Snuka situation: “The on going whispers within the wrestling business of the 32 year old, alleged murder of his then lady friend by Jimmy ‘Super Fly’ Snuka has finally resulted in an indictment of 3rd degree murder for the WWE Hall of Fame member. Snuka was one of the greatest attractions of all time in WWE and was arguably one of WWE’s most marketable stars after finding equal success in the territory era of wrestling and in Japan, as well. It will be interesting to see how this case proceeds as the 72 year old Snuka wa recently diagnosed with stomach cancer and still takes autograph/personal appearance dates to make ends meet. Hopefully this matter will finally be resolved so that both families, Snuka’s and the deceased, can move on with their lives and find closure and a measure of peace. Let the justice system do as it was designed to do.”
On Braun Strowman: “Braun Stoman is an infringing persona who needs ample protection until he gains more experience. It’s easy to see that he’s a little ‘tight’ and that’s to be expected. He’s getting a nice break and obviously he wants to make he most of it but he will have to relax and rely more on those around him and his own work ethic and instincts more to get better and certainly to enjoy the journey. I’d address his facials right away. In any event he’s an impressive looking son of a gun and seems to fit the Wyatt’s well. I still think that Luke Harper is grossly underutilized and is one of the company’s most valuable villains. Hopefully Harper won’t become the Freebird Buddy Roberts of the Wyatt’s IE he’s the one who drops most of the falls in their tag matches or in singles. BTW Buddy Roberts was a marvelous worker.”
On his autobiography: “We are just about ready to present several sample chapters of our autobiography to various literary agents. The book is progressing nicely and we still hope to have it on shelves by the first half of 2016. Fingers crossed. Between Scott Williams, Paul O’Brien and your’s truly, we have been rocking right along.”
