Titus tries to hold another “Titus Brand” press conference to address his loss to R-Truth but only Tom Phillips shows up and he has more technical difficulties.
A few weeks ago at Backlash, Bray Wyatt was supposed to face off against Randy Orton. Unfortunately, Orton was unable to compete due to the concussion he suffered during his match against Brock Lesnar at Summerslam. The WWE smartly had Wyatt attack Orton backstage as an excuse to not have the match. Wyatt came down to the ring and forced the ring announcer to proclaim him as the winner of a match that never took place.
A random No Holds Barred match was then made between Kane and Bray Wyatt. Bray Wyatt got in some offense but Kane actually controlled the majority of the match. The finish of the match saw Randy Orton coming down to the ring and hitting an RKO on Wyatt. Kane then followed this up with a Chokeslam and won the match. Kane was Chokeslamming someone named The Milk Man on Smackdown before Backlash, now he was defeating the “Eater of Worlds” on a PPV. Kane has also done absolutely nothing since defeating Wyatt.
Fast forward to today. No Mercy is on the horizon and Orton and Wyatt will finally have their match. Last night on the greatest Smackdown of all time according to the comment section, Wyatt tried to play mind-games with Orton. He set up a maze backstage with words on the arena walls. “Predator or Prey” and “I am a God” were written all over the place. Erick Rowan observed Orton as he walked around backstage. Orton almost opened a door. It was just riveting television.
Smackdown opened up with Orton stating that Wyatt was afraid of him. By the end of the night, that was proven to be true. Orton confronted Wyatt backstage with a sheep mask on and Wyatt took off running. Orton then sang that he has got the whole world in his hands and the crowd sang along. Thus, Wyatt was once again proven to be a coward. It would be astonishing if Wyatt somehow defeated Orton clean at No Mercy. If he does win it will be due to outside interference, which is fine. I just don’t understand how anyone can view Wyatt as a monster or a “God” anymore. The WWE seems to be booking Bo Dallas as a more dominant figure than Bray Wyatt.
Do you think Wyatt will win at No Mercy and finally get back on track? Or will Wyatt once again lose and go continue to cut ultimately meaningless promos every week? Dolph Ziggler obviously has the highest stakes at No Mercy but I think this is a match/feud that Wyatt really needs to win.

Randy Orton is not expected to wrestle at tonight’s WWE Backlash PPV, but is backstage at The Coliseum in Richmond, VA for the show.
Kane replaced Orton at a WWE house show in Raleigh last night (defeating Bray Wyatt) and is the likely replacement for Orton at Backlash.
Orton’s injury is said to be concussion-related, according to PWInsider. Dave Meltzer noted that he couldn’t get confirmation regarding the injury, but that was the word going around backstage today and Orton did take legitimate beating from Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam.
WWE officials were hoping Orton would be cleared to to compete tonight. His upcoming rematch against Brock Lesnar at WWE’s 9/24 live event from Chicago is up in the air at this point.

– It was expected that Bray Wyatt would appear at SummerSlam after weeks of feuding with Dolph Ziggler and WWE Champion Dean Ambrose but he did not. Wyatt did take to Twitter after the PPV and tweet the following:

Regarding Paige’s mother stating that she’s out of action due to injury, Paige been dealing with back and shoulder issues. She’s expected to be out of the ring for at least 2 more weeks. Meltzer hinted that there are “other, significant” problems with Paige, but there’s no talk of her being in danger of being released.
As for Jimmy Uso’s injury, he was expected back at this week’s TV tapings but was held off TV this week.
Bray Wyatt had an injury scare during the main event of last night’s SmackDown from Nashville. During his match against Dolph Ziggler, Wyatt rolled his ankle and was visibly upset. The referee threw up the “X” symbol to bring out trainers, but Wyatt refused help. He finished the match, but was not putting much weight on the ankle in question.
We’ve reached out to WWE for a statement and hope to have an update later. Here’s a look at how it went down:

RAW Superstars Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns appeared after tonight’s SmackDown went off the air in Buffalo.
The dark main event saw Reigns and WWE Champion Dean Ambrose defeat Rollins and Bray Wyatt when Ambrose hit Dirty Deeds on Rollins.
The RAW Superstars wrestling in the SmackDown dark March main event is similar to what fans who were in attendance at last night’s RAW saw, when SmackDown stars John Cena, Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollkms wrestled after RAW went off the air. It remains to be seen if this will be a regular occurrence or if the cross brand involvement ends once the dust settles from the Brand Extension.
