WWE is advertising Brock Lesnar for Monday’s episode of RAW on the USA Network. Lesnar and Heyman will be appearing to hype the Fastlane PPV. Last week on RAW, although he didn’t appear on the episode, Lesnar was booked in the main event for Fastlane against Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns.
WWE confirmed on Thursday’s episode of SmackDown that Lesnar would be in the house on Monday, and updated WWE.com‘s RAW preview to hype The Beast’s appearance. Here’s an excerpt from WWE.com’s updated preview:
The Beast is back. Since The Wyatt Family utilized the no disqualification environment of the Royal Rumble Match to eliminate Brock Lesnar from the bout, The Anomaly has yet to be seen in a WWE ring. With his return imminent, the entire WWE locker room braces for impact. Who will feel the wrath of this raging behemoth? WWE.com has some ideas
One night after The Wyatt Family eliminated Brock Lesnar from the Royal Rumble Match — essentially robbing The Beast of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship — The Authority announced that Lesnar will battle Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose in a Triple Threat Match at WWE Fastlane. The winner of that bout will then go on to WrestleMania to challenge Triple H for the grandest prize in sports-entertainment.
Lesnar can’t be in a good mood in the wake of his Royal Rumble Match defeat, and will be anxious to transform Birmingham, Ala., into Suplex City. But which Superstars will suffer his wrath: Bray Wyatt and his followers, The Beast’s WWE Fastlane opponents or both? No matter who crosses his path, Lesnar is bringing the pain to Raw.
Monday’s RAW airs live from Birmingham, AL at the Legacy Arena. We will have live results & discussion right here on SEScoops.com on Monday night.
WWE RAW Preview for Monday, January 17th from Columbus, Ohio:

– The latest from the Social Outcasts after a win on SmackDown.
– More Royal Rumble participants likely to be announced.
Talent advertised to appear includes Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar, Kevin Owens, Dean Ambrose, Chris Jericho, The Wyatt Family, The New Day, Sheamus, Ryback and Dolph Ziggler. The dark match main event will see Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose vs. Kevin Owens & Sheamus.
As always, join us here Monday night for our live results & discussion of WWE RAW.
The Air Canada Center announced on Friday that Brock Lesnar will be appearing on the first WWE Network special from Canada. The next live WWE Network special will be held on Saturday, March 12th at the Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto. You can purchase tickets here.
The event is being billed as the “March to WrestleMania,” and will air exclusively on the WWE Network at 7:30 PM ET. No matches have been announced as of this writing.
The current plan is for The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar to both work against top heels. Kevin Owens, Alberto Del Rio, Bray Wyatt and Sheamus are all in the mix and could wind up in those slots.
Before John Cena went down with an injury, he was slated to wrestle The Undertaker in a battle of legends. Cena injury’s injury was so unexpected that WWE didn’t even have a backup opponent for The Undertaker, so his match is up in the air again.
WrestleMania 32 takes place on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
WWE is now officially advertising Brock Lesnar for the upcoming Fastlane pay-per-view in Cleveland, Ohio on February 21st.
Lesnar, who was also announced for next week’s RAW in New Orleans, Louisiana, has been added to the list of talent advertised to appear at the 2/21 pay-per-view event.
Although he is not officially advertised yet for the Royal Rumble pay-per-view scheduled for this month, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter recently reported that Lesnar is booked for the Rumble event and would be returning to WWE television in January to help promote that fact.
With Lesnar now being advertised for Fastlane, it appears likely that he will in fact be working WWE’s next three pay-per-view events in a row, with WrestleMania 32 being the third.
Paul Heyman has been added to the advertising for WWE’s live event on January 8th. The house show on Friday takes place at the Toyota Center in Houston, TX, and the former ECW leader will be appearing alongside his client Brock Lesnar. Lesnar is advertised to wrestle Sheamus in a singles match. This marks Brock Lesnar’s first time appearing in Houston in over 10 years.
Also advertised for the show are John Cena facing Alberto Del Rio for the U.S. title, and Dean Ambrose taking on Kevin Owens for the Intercontinental title. The Dudley Boyz are also shceduled to be in the house. Tickets start at $20. VIP ticket packages for the event are sold out.
As of right now this will be a non-televised event, but it could be filmed for the WWE Network in some capacity.
Here’s a look at Brock Lesnar’s entire confirmed upcoming WWE schedule:
1/8: Live Event (Houston, TX) 1/11: WWE RAW (New Orleans, LA) 2/6: Live Event (San Jose, CA) 2/8: WWE RAW (Seattle, WA) 3/14: WWE RAW (Pittsburgh, PA)
Brock Lesnar’s next match takes place on Friday, January 8th at the WWE live event from Houston, Texas at the Toyota Center.
Local ads that ran during RAW announced that Lesnar will go one on one against Sheamus on the show. In a rematch from Monday’s RAW, John Cena will also challenge Alberto Del Rio for the United States championship.
Here’s an updated look at Brock Lesnar’s upcoming WWE schedule:
– Triple H posted the following on his official Twitter page on Monday afternoon to announce an additional 1pm NXT live event in Chicago, Illinois on Saturday, January 16th.
– WWE posted the following on their official Twitter page to congratulate John Cena on being on the cover of the January issue of Muscle & Fitness magazine.
– Finally, WWE posted a 26-page year-end feature on the top 25 matches of 2015 on WWE.com on Monday. Coming in as the number one WWE match of 2015 was the triple-threat match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship between John Cena, Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins at the WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view in January. WWE posted the following to promote the feature, which features comments from the talents or those close to the talents involved in each of the matches that made the list.
– On Saturday night, Brock Lesnar made a rare live event appearance, taking on Alberto Del Rio in Inglewood, California. The match ended by disqualification when Rusev interfered and attacked Lesnar. It didn’t take long for Lesnar to fight back and throw both men around the ring with German suplexes and F5’s.
Rusev tweeted the following after the incident:
I'm still standing tall. U can't hurt me. I'm Rusev
– It appears that Sheamus may have been injured at Sunday afternoon’s WWE live event from Winnipeg. After Roman Reigns successfully defended the WWE World Heavyweight champion against Sheamus, the referee threw up the “X” symbol for Sheamus. During Reigns’ post-match celebration, Sheamus was helped to the back and appeared to be limping.
Brock Lesnar made his WWE in-ring return at the live event at The Forum in Inglewood, California on Saturday evening, defeating WWE United States Champion Alberto Del Rio via disqualification.
Lesnar returned with Paul Heyman by his side at the WWE live event last night, picking up the win via DQ over Del Rio when Rusev hit the ring and attacked “The Beast Incarnate” just as he was taking the U.S. champ to “Suplex City.”
Lesnar ended up fighting off Rusev, hitting him with a German suplex and an F-5. He teased leaving the ring at this point, however decided to turn around to hit Del Rio with a German suplex and an F-5 for good measure.
For what it’s worth, Seth Rollins is being advertised to appear at Monday’s Slammy Awards edition of WWE RAW from Minneapolis, Minnesota.
It’s worth pointing out that Rollins is only being advertised for the show on the official website for the Target Center, as WWE’s official website does not have the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion advertised for the show.
It’s possible that Rollins appears for some of the Slammy Awards he is nominated for, although that has not been confirmed. Xavier Woods did tweet about filming Rollins vs. Jack Swagger in the Madden tournament finals for his “UpUpDownDown” YouTube channel, which some claim could be a sign that Rollins will at least be backstage at the show.
In a related note, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported earlier this week that despite not being advertised for the show, both John Cena and Brock Lesnar could possibly make surprise appearances on the show.
In an effort to boost disappointing ticket sales for next week’s WWE live event from The Forum in Inglewood, California, WWE has announced a special “Holiday Meal Deal” to boost sales, with each ticket now including a soda plus a choice of hot dog or popcorn.
The Forum website has also revealed three big title matches for the show, including Brock Lesnar facing Alberto Del Rio for the Untied States Championship. Here are the announced matches:
WWE World Heavyweight Championship: Sheamus (c) vs. Roman Reigns
United States Championship: Alberto Del Rio (c) vs. Brock Lesnar
Intercontinental Championship: Kevin Owens (c) vs. Dean Ambrose
Also appearing, Bray Wyatt, Kane, The Dudley Boys, The Miz, Dolph Ziggler, the WWE Divas, plus many more.
In what is internally considered a big disappointment, the December 19th WWE live event at The Forum near Los Angeles, California has only sold under 5,000 tickets, despite Brock Lesnar working the show. John Cena was also advertised for the show originally, which only makes the figure that much more of a let down.
With the 12/19 date being just over a week away, it will obviously not be a live WWE Network special like his first two live events in Tokyo and Madison Square Garden were, as WWE would have begun the advertising by now, especially with ticket sales not moving as well as one would expect.
Lesnar is also scheduled to return to WWE television in the near future, as he is booked for the Royal Rumble pay-per-view in January. He will be appearing on multiple upcoming RAW shows starting in a couple of weeks.
One RAW date he is scheduled for that is particularly interesting is February 8th in Seattle, Washington, as it is a few weeks after the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, but a few weeks before the WWE Fast Lane pay-per-view. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that this indicates Lesnar will be working three pay-per-views in a row, as WrestleMania 32 follows the Fast Lane pay-per-view in February.
Brock Lesnar is currently being advertised for two more upcoming WWE events.
The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion is being advertised to appear at the February 8th RAW taping, which takes place in Seattle, WA. He’s also been announced for the February 6th WWE house show at the SAP Center in San Jose, CA, with tickets going on sale this Friday.
Lesnar, who is also advertised for a house show at The Forum in Los Angeles on 12/19, recently renegotiated his WWE contract to include more appearance dates. Previously, he had only committed to a very limited number of dates.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports we can expect to see Lensar more on WWE TV from the start of 2016 right through WrestleMania season.
John Cena’s WWE return has been delayed, as he is no longer advertised to appear at the December 19th WWE live event from The Forum in Inglewood, California. Brock Lesnar will be making a rare house show appearance at that event.
Cena’s next scheduled WWE appearance is now the December 26th WWE live event from Madison Square Garden, where he is scheduled to face United States Champion Alberto Del Rio. He’s also booked for the following night’s WWE RAW from Brooklyn, New York at the Barclays Center.
Kevin Owens vs. Brock Lesnar is being discussed as a possible match for WrestleMania 32, according to former WWE writer Court Bauer on the latest episode of MLW Radio.
As result of the injuries plaguing the roster, WWE is reportedly starting from scratch with the WrestleMania card. Naturally, Brock Lesnar’s match is a top priority. Owens would get a huge rub by working against Lesnar at the biggest WrestleMania of all time, the promos between Owens and Paul Heyman would be off the charts and the match itself would be stiff as hell.
WWE already blew off Lesnar’s feud with The Undertaker and The Rock’s probably won’t be availablefor Mania, so Kevin Owens seems to be one of the best options available.
The other matches currently being considered include Roman Reigns vs. Triple H and The Undertaker vs. John Cena.
Comment below and tell us if you’d want to see Kevin Owens vs. Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 32.
WWE Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens recently spoke to the Like Father, Like Son podcast about a number of topics. Below are some of the highlights.
On who he wants at WrestleMania:
“I’ve answered this question a couple of times and my answer is always Brock Lesnar, because I’d just love to be in the ring with him and see what it’s like. There’s nobody quite like Brock Lesnar, as far as pure strength and viciousness and everything. I’d love to see if I could hang with him and see how much I could hurt him. I’d love to get in the ring with The Undertaker one day, too. I feel like that’s a long shot, I guess, because he wrestles on a limited basis and when he does, it’s always a huge deal. But, hopefully I can position myself in the next year or so to be seen as a viable opponent for the Undertaker, because it would be a thrill to be in the ring with him at WrestleMania or anywhere. It can be on a Raw or a live event, I don’t really care. I’d just love to be in the ring with him. I feel like that would be an experience I’d never forget.”
On his son cheering for John Cena:
“I think he was pretty split honestly. He’s always been a big John Cena fan, but all of a sudden he’s against his dad. I think he kind feels like he can’t cheer against me, but at the same time he wants me to do good, so I think he was pretty split down the middle and maybe a bit conflicted. But he’s met John, and he and John known each other. They have this little thing they share together.”
– In the “holiday spirit” department, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, along with longtime top WWE Superstar and the star of the new FOX reality show “American Grit,” John Cena, posted the following Thanksgiving messages on Twitter today.
Today is the day to truly remember what we’re thankful for in life. Happy Thanksgiving to the WWE Universe.
– In keeping with the Thanksgiving theme, WWE.com is running a poll today asking fans which WWE Superstar they are the most thankful for. The options include Roman Reigns, John Cena, Dean Ambrose, Charlotte, The Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton, The New Day, Dolph Ziggler, Paige, The Dudley Boyz, Cesaro, Daniel Bryan, The Usos, Kane, Nikki Bella, Brie Bella, Ryback, Natalya and “Other.” Leading the pack with 17 percent is The Undertaker, followed by Roman Reigns (14%), Dean Ambrose (12%), John Cena (10%), Cesaro (7%) and The New Day (7%).
– SEScoops.com would like to wish everyone a healthy and happy Thanksgiving!
Although it hasn’t been officially announced, it’s possible that Brock Lesnar will be appearing at the WWE Slammy Awards themed edition of RAW in December.
The show takes place in Minneapolis, Minnesota on December 21st, and in addition to it being the Slammy Awards show, it will also be the RAW episode that starts the build to the WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view, which Lesnar is expected to work.
The next RAW that Lesnar is advertised to work is the January 11th RAW in New Orleans, Louisiana, which is the second-to-last RAW before the Royal Rumble pay-per-view on January 24th.
WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross recently updated his Q&A section at JRsBarBQ.com, fielding questions from topics such as TNA’s new deal with Pop TV, the possibility of Kurt Angle showing up at WrestleMania or Abyss jumping to WWE and more. Below are some of the highlights.
On how TNA should handle changing their TV product now that they are moving to Pop TV:
“If I was TNA I would think very strongly on how I revamp my TV presentation and to develop a new, game plan for the future. Lots of ways to accomplish this but they do need a plan that is well thought out and one that they are able to execute.”
On if he thinks Kurt Angle will appear at WrestleMania next year:
“I’d say highly unlikely but as close to a no as I can get without saying it. Ship’s sailed or so it seems. Anything is possible.”
On lots of wrestlers getting hurt due to a lack of selling in matches:
“Many wrestlers take too many unnecessary chances, are often times reluctant to sell so that tey can look stronger and they have ot gained the skill set of mat /submission wrestling. It’s sad and it’s simply not a case of me being too old school.”
On the possibility of Abyss going to WWE at this stage in his career:
“Abyss’ offer to go to WWE was years ago and he’s happy where he is especially at this stage of his career. You’re thinking about a decade too late for any Abyss to WWE talk.”
On whether or not Bobby Lashley should be mentioned in the same sentence as Brock Lesnar and if TNA has dropped the ball with him:
“Bobby has really come into his own in TNA the past several months but he never had the amateur career to the level of Lesnar. Two, entirely different athletes. I’m a fan of Lashley’s work both in the ring and in the MMA cage.”
– Featured above is the latest edition of “WWE Canvas 2 Canvas,” which features an Undertaker painting from artist Rob Schamberger in honor of the 25th anniversary of “The Dead Man.”
– Brock Lesnar has been added to the January 11th WWE RAW in New Orleans, Louisiana, likely to set up a program for the January 24th WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
– Seth Rollins tweeted the following about the finals of the WWE World Heavyweight Title tournament tonight to crown the next champion, telling whoever wins to keep the title warm for him. He also commented on tonight being the 25th anniversary of who Rollins refers to as the “Greatest Of All-Time (GOAT),” The Undertaker.
Happy #Undertaker25 to all! Rewrote the definition of legend. #GOAT And for whoever wins that title tonight, keep'er warm for me. #reclaim
WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair spoke about a number of current topics on the latest edition of his WOOOOO! Nation podcast, such as his prediction for the finals of Sunday’s WWE World Heavyweight Title Tournament at Survivor Series, Seth Rollins’ injury and Cesaro’s ability to be a bigger star. Below are some of the highlights of what Flair talked about.
On Seth Rollins’ injury and when he thinks Rollins will be back in the ring:
“Actually, Seth is doing the right thing. He’s going to transfer the flag from Waterloo to Birmingham and stay there for at least two months of rehab, which is the best thing to do. That’s what Hunter did. Hunter just moved right down there when he tore his quad the last time.”
“I think they’re looking at him, praying that he’ll be back for Summerslam.”
On Cesaro’s ability and potential to be viewed as a legitimate threat to Brock Lesnar:
“I feel like Cesaro, given the opportunity and with a vehicle to convey his thoughts, whether it be through himself or through a manager, which would be me, you could get him ready for Brock Lesnar in two months and the people would believe it. He’s that strong and he’s good [of] a performer. And he’s that big. You’re not going to bounce Cesaro around like a dart.” Flair continued, “I think he could be a great opponent for Brock Lesnar. I mean, you’d need to stay on him because his work is phenomenal, he looks like a million bucks, and he’s stronger than a horse in real life. He’s really strong, strongest guy in the company, and that came right from John Cena.”
On who he sees in the finals of Sunday’s WWE World Heavyweight Title Tournament at Survivor Series:
“I don’t think they’re going to put Ambrose and Reigns [in the finals] because I don’t know how the crowd would react to that. They’re both kind of like fan favorites and it would be hard for them. I think they’d rather have a definitive good guy/bad guy [match].”
“I would say Kevin Owens [will face Reigns in the finals] because Kevin’s getting a huge reaction over here [in Europe]. We only have a couple [of] heels that are actually heels all the time. Kevin is one of them, Stephanie [McMahon] being the other.”
Jim Ross pitched an interesting idea for the WrestleMania 32 main event on the latest episode of his Ross Report podcast. With Seth Rollins, Randy Orton and The Rock all out of the picture for WWE’s biggest show of the year, WWE has their work cut out for them if they want to fill up AT&T Stadium. JR would like to see a “red hot” Batista return as a cocky Hollywood heel and square off against Brock Lesnar.
“Hey, I got an idea for you…what about Bautista, the heel, coming back and taking on Brock Lesnar, the babyface, at WrestleMania in April in Dallas?”
He added, “I could live with that main event… red hot Batista coming back and urinating all over the fans and being a big star and being very arrogant and full of himself and being a bad ass, believing his clippings and he wants to take on the biggest dog in the yard. I don’t dislike that match.”
Brock Lesnar’s contract with WWE has been renegotiated yet again, according to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Lesnar re-signed with WWE earlier this year shortly after WrestleMania 31. He had strongly considered returning to UFC and even began an MMA training camp only to realize his heart wasn’t fully in it.
Lesnar’s multi-year deal was for limited dates and he recently took WWE up on an offer to make additional appearances at his premium rate. He will be making a rare house show appearance on December 19th at The Forum in Los Angeles, CA. Starting in early 2016, he’ll be back on TV for the Royal Rumble and the start of WrestleMania season.
It’s possible the longterm absences of Seth Rollins, Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan led WWE to rely on Lesnar more and the latest WrestleMania 32 plans call for Lesnar to face Roman Reigns for the WWE Championship.
