WWE Hall Of Famer Sgt. Slaughter recently spoke with Scott Fishman of the Miami Herald about a number of subjects. Below are some of the highlights from the interview.
On a possible match between The Rock and Brock Lesnar: “That would be an incredible match. Especially now that both have matured in their businesses.”
On recruiting Kevin Nash to WWE: “Whether Shawn Michaels called him or not, I did discover Diesel in a box of tapes one time. I showed it to Vince McMahon, and he told me to give him a tryout…I’ve been around a long time. Coming up the ranks I’ve got to see those who were sons of professional wrestlers get in the ring when they were five years old. I would wrestle around with them. Guys like The Rock and Randy Orton. Just to see some of the other Samoan kids now. That’s all they thought about was professional wrestling. They would get in the ring, and we would work out with them. Now to see them blossoming the proper way to get into pro wrestling and sports entertainment business, just makes your heart feel good.”

– Randy Orton granted a Make-A-Wish prior to last Monday’s RAW in Chicago, Illinois. Below is a photo of Orton with the kid, courtesy of the official WWE Community Twitter page.
– Today marks the two year anniversary of the opening of the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. The official NXT Twitter page tweeted the following:
WWE has confirmed Brock Lesnar for this coming Monday’s edition of WWE RAW in Atlanta, Georgia, which will be the WWE Battleground “go-home” episode of the show.
WWE wrote the following teasers for Lesnar and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins:
“With his clash with Brock Lesnar at WWE Battleground looming on the horizon, Seth Rollins undoubtedly clutching his WWE World Heavyweight Championship a little tighter these days. After all, The Beast Incarnate not only demolished J&J Security’s Cadillac last Monday night, but put both Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury on the shelf during his rampage. Who will watch The Architect’s back this Monday night in Atlanta, when The Anomaly is in the building?
Ever since Seth Rollins robbed Brock Lesnar of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of WrestleMania, Brock Lesnar has had it out for “The Future of WWE,” and at WWE Battleground, Rollins will have nowhere to hide. Yet, as much as this collision is about the WWE World Heavyweight Title itself — the grandest prize in sports-entertainment — it’s also a matter of retribution for The Anomaly, who wants nothing more than to make The Architect pay for his past transgressions. But what is Lesnar truly looking for: Rollins’ title or Rollins’ suffering? Might his desire to destroy Rollins somehow supersede his championship aspirations? If that’s the case, what would happen if Lesnar got his hands on the WWE World Heavyweight Champion before their title bout? Could we see Lesnar destroy his WWE Battleground opponent before their championship encounter even takes place? Last week, we saw Lesnar decimate J&J Security’s Cadillac and J&J themselves … and we get the feeling he’s not done breaking things just yet. Expect more carnage from The Beast Incarnate on Raw.”
The story about the fan getting hit with a car door by Brock Lesnar on Monday’s edition of WWE RAW is starting to gain some mainstream media attention.
As noted, a fan was injured by a piece of the Cadillac car door that was thrown by Lesnar on Monday in Chicago. The fan was then tended to by WWE trainers and EMTs before being brought backstage and later returning to his seat to watch the rest of the show. WWE also loaded him up with tons of free merchandise.
The New York Daily News has picked up on the story, which has prompted WWE to release an official statement. The statement reads as follows:
“WWE immediately responded to the incident during last night’s show. The fan was unharmed and declined any medical attention.”
In addition to suffering broken ribs at the hands of Brock Lesnar on RAW a couple of weeks ago, J&J Security member Jamie Noble was roughed up yet again this past Monday night.
Noble reportedly had to get stitches in addition to a broken arm he suffered while being attacked by Lesnar on RAW on Monday night in Chicago.
The official WWE website has posted an update on J&J Security, noting that Noble received 12 stitches after being cut by windshield glass.
Additionally, Joey Mercury suffered a bruised spleen and re-aggravated a prior, serious neck injury due to a suplex he took on the hood of the Cadillac.
According to WWE, both J&J Security members are “out of action indefinitely.”
– It appears that for whatever reason, Vince McMahon and the WWE have decided to pull the use of the term “backbreaker” according to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio.
Meltzer explained that it’s possible that Vince may have had another decree for the commentary team not to use the term – though Michael Cole did use it during last night’s main event on RAW.
He went on to add that he wasn’t sure why Vince or the WWE had decided to remove the term but explained that McMahon has requested the term be kept off television previously.
– As an update to the earlier story of a fan being struck by part the door thrown by Brock Lesnar during RAW, the fan was said to be well on leaving the arena and was given free merchandise.
Brock Lesnar destroyed the car given to J&J Security by Seth Rollins last week and pulled the door off its hinges. He tossed it towards the crowd and a fan being struck by part of the doors interior was caught on video.
As noted earlier, during last night’s episode of RAW in Chicago, Brock Lesnar destroyed the new car given to J&J Security by WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins.
In the video shown below, as posted by Twitter user @BillNevilleNAI, while Lesnar tossed the car door to the side of the stage, a chunk landed in among the fans.
It was later reported that the fan was treated by WWE Security and paramedics but reportedly returned for the rest of the show and was said to be OK.
– WWE’s website have noted that following their attack on RAW at the hands of Brock Lesnar, J&J Security, Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury both suffered injuries.
After destroying their new car, which was a gift from Seth Rollins, both Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury approached Lesnar but were overpowered and ultimately injured.
WWE wrote: “Both Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury suffered injuries at the hands of Brock Lesnar during The Beast’s attack of the security twosome on Raw.”
“Noble, who was trapped in Lesnar’s Kimura Lock, suffered a broken arm, while Mercury, who was suplexed on top of J&J’s customized Cadillac, only suffered mild contusions as a result of the attack.”
– It was confirmed during the show that WWE will return to Chicago on the 12th of October for Monday Night RAW. The pre-sale password was confirmed as being CHICAGO.
– As shown in the video above, after RAW went off the air last night, John Cena addressed the fans about his match against Cesaro and spoke about the city of Chicago.
Cena was full of praise for Cesaro and told those in attendance that he believes Cesaro should be in the main event every night adding that Cesaro gave him another memory he’ll never forget.
Various fans have reported that the speech was incredibly touching and some people were visibly emotional while Cena was speaking.
– After Brock Lesnar destroyed the cadillac that was given to J&J Security by Seth Rollins last week, WWE posted two videos showing the car being taken away once the show was over.
During last night’s episode of RAW from Chicago, Brock Lesnar took it upon himself to destroy the car Seth Rollins had bought for J&J Security.
As shown above, at one point, after breaking the windows, Brock pulled off the door and tossed it to the side where reports state that a fan was injured.
PWInsider reports that a piece of the door ended up in the crowd at the Allstate Arena and accidentally struck a fan.
They note that WWE Security and paramedics attended to the fan who was taken backstage briefly before being brought back to his seat. However the fan is said to be OK.
– Randy Orton is engaged to be married to his girlfriend of a year-and-a-half, Kim Marie Kessler. Kessler revealed the engagement this afternoon on Twitter.
This will be Orton’s second marriage. In June 2013, the WWE Superstar divorced his wife of six years, Samantha Speno.

WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross recently updated his official blog. Below are some of the highlights.
On TNA Slammiversary: “Hope TNA did well on their PPV that I did not watch due to family obligations. I know that they needed a hit and hopefully folks bought the show. Their taping schedule, while it may be good for their financial model, is a system built to never garner success. Taping so much content at one time, much of it out of sequence, etc is not the way to do business. However, if that’s the only way that TNA can afford to tape their TV show then it is what it is. I want this brand, as I do all promotions, to succeed and will continue to watch their weekly shows and pull for them but any company who thinks that they an build their brand back to being close to profitability on a network the caliber of Destination America has to be kidding themselves. It cannot be done. Most people that communicate with me can’t even see the network on their cable systems. I get it but I pay for it in a premium package so that I can watch TNA and Lucha Underground. I watch ROH generally on our local stations in OKC.”
On GFW and TNA working together: “By all reports the talents worked hard which is no surprise to me as I’ve always liked their roster. I have to be honest with you though that I couldn’t explain what a King of the Mountain match is to save my BBQ Sauce. Jeff Jarrett winning the main event surprised me and indicates that there is more coming as it relates to a working relationship between GFW and TNA. In all honestly, they need each other for various and obvious reasons. BTW, I’m happy that Mike Tenay returned to broadcast booth. Sunday night.”
On Seth Rollins vs. Brock Lesnar: “Smart of WWE to allow Seth Rollins to get some steam versus Brock Lesnar last week and the smart money is on Rollins needing/getting more ‘heat’ between tonight and Battleground on July 19. Lesnar won’t get another beat down but Rollins can’t be beat down by Lesnar between now and the St Louis event either. I still think that Wrestlemania Texas is the right spot for Lesnar to win back the WWE World Title if the story is properly told.”

There has been some speculation regarding WWE possibly changing Brock Lesnar’s opponent from Kofi Kingston to someone else at the July 4th “Beast In The East” WWE Network special from Tokyo, Japan.
While WWE has yet to publicly announce Lesnar’s opponent on television, the WWE Network has updated their official listing for the special and the Lesnar vs. Kingston match is still being advertised, along with Finn Balor vs. Kevin Owens for the NXT Championship as the two main events.

The WWE Network description for the special reads as follows:
“Live from Tokyo, Japan, Brock Lesnar returns to the ring against Kofi Kingston. Finn Balor challenges Kevin Owens for the NXT Championship!”
Below is the advertised lineup for the show:
– Finn Balor vs. Kevin Owens
– Kofi Kingston vs. Brock Lesnar
– Neville vs. Chris Jericho
– John Cena and Dolph Ziggler vs. King Barrett and Kane
– Paige vs. Naomi vs. Divas Champion Nikki Bella
– Cesaro vs. Diego
– The Lucha Dragons vs. The New Day
WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross updated his official blog on Wednesday with his latest thoughts and opinions. Below are some of the highlights:
On the Brock Lesnar angle from RAW: “Caught up wth RAW from Monday where Lesnar got beat down. Fundamentally it had to happen. Baby faces have to be put in jeopardy and that includes monster, fan favorites like Lesnar who is the biggest star in WWE today, in the view of many, because he’s a legit beast and the fact that he isn’t over exposed. Plus, it took multiple people to put Brock down into a selling situation. Let’s not forget that Brock is still a human and the human element can’t be factored out of how Brock Lesnar is booked. Any one who is vehemently opposed to this creative likely doesn’t understand the art of booking as much as they would like to believe.”
On Seth Rollins’ title run: “I’d still like to see Seth Rollins hold the WWE Title until Wrestlemania Texas. There is where Lesnar could win the title back IMO after winning the 2016 Royal Rumble. Now that’s the cue for someone to pipe up that idea is too predictable but I’ll go for doing the right thing over doing something unpredictable for the sake of surprise any day. It’s a great, long term storyline arc that makes sense on many fronts.”
On Paul Heyman leaving Lesnar: “Plus, anyone who is speculating that @HeymanHustle will be leaving Lesnar is ultra fantasy booking as well. No reason to have Paul leave Brock that is more viable than Heyman staying with Lesnar and I’d do NOTHING to disconnect the Heyman/Lesnar duo. NOTHING.”
On TNA problems: “Hearing all kinds of rumors, some good and some not so good, out of TNA so I will leave them as they are until confirmed but, again, this company is battling to stay in the game and I hope that they do. The thing that all of us can do as fans is to watch their TV show on Wednesday nights on Destination America. I still say if they wrestle more and talk less they will be better off. They are down to their hard core fans who want to see action and physicality and TNA has the roster to get that done.”

WrestlingInc have an article up where one of their correspondents attended “An Evening with Shawn Michaels” in Manchester in the UK this past Monday.
They note that the show was originally supposed to be hosted by WWE Hall of Famer, Jim Ross but instead he joined HBK on stage and they did the show together.
One talking point from the evening was The Undertaker’s streak at WrestleMania and how that all came to an end in New Orleans last year at the hands of Brock Lesnar.
Both JR and Shawn Michaels admitted that they weren’t big fans of the decision and JR revealed that even Brock Lesnar wasn’t thrilled at beating the streak and had asked to lose the match.
On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer spoke about the recent injury sustained by Erick Rowan at a live event over the weekend.
Meltzer notes that the injury is related to his arm and while it is believed to be quite a serious injury, Rowan did work a match them following night.
Ahead of the WWE Network Special in Japan on the 4th of July, WWE have released a new video hyping up Brock Lesnar being featured on the card which is being dubbed “The Beast in the East Live from Tokyo”.
At present, Brock Lesnar is expected to face New Day member, Kofi Kingston but all this could change in the run up to the show itself.
At the end of last night’s episode of RAW, a brawl broke out between Brock Lesnar and The Authority which led to Jamie Noble being injured.
Lesnar attacked both Noble and Joey Mercury slamming them both into the barricade. While Mercury recovered, Noble did not and off camera he could be seen being treated by medical staff.
WWE.com have since posted a statement regarding the news and shared the video above showing Noble being loaded into the back of an ambulance:
Jamie Noble suffered an injury at the hands of Brock Lesnar during The Beast’s brawl with The Authority at the end of Raw, WWE.com has confirmed.
Noble’s condition is currently being evaluated. Please stay with WWE.com for more updates as they become available.
Jamie Noble has since taken to Twitter and revealed that he has suffered three broken ribs and thanked WWE for not taking any chances.
I would like to thank WWE staff and all the fans for nice messages. I have 3 broke ribs. Couldn't breathe at first.
