As we reported earlier, Brooke Hogan has officially been released by TNA Impact Wrestling as an active performer for the company.

According to multiple sources, the Hogan release went down earlier this week, likely on Tuesday or Wednesday. As noted in the initial article, the story was making the rounds in the WWE locker room at the most recent television taping, so word has been out for a few days now within the industry.

Another report notes the split between Brooke Hogan and Impact Wrestling was an amicable one. Apparently there is no big incident that led to her release, as she was just another casualty of TNA budget cuts.

There was some buzz going around the WWE locker room on Thursday that Brooke was gone from TNA – and the story was confirmed by multiple sources in TNA on Friday afternoon.

– The TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship has apparently been deactivated as the the official website of Impact Wrestling is no longer listing the championship on its roster page.

Last week on Impact Wrestling, Knockouts division executive Brooke Hogan stripped ODB and Eric Young of the title due to Young’s male gender. There was no further announcement made concerning the belts.

The championship was created in 2009 due to the roster depth of the Knockouts division at the time. Sarita and Taylor Wilde became the inaugural champions in September of that year, besting Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky in the finals of a four-team tournament. The final champions, ODB and Young, held the titles for a record 478 days.

– Madison Rayne “spills dirt” on Miss Tessmacher in this week’s “Knockout Blog” as she rants on the fellow former TNA Women’s Knockout Champion’s high-maintenance ways.

Rayne writes, “This week, you are going to get a little behind the scenes 411 on the one and only, the Knockout who is more high maintenance than anyone else on God’s green earth, Miss “ass-gusting” herself, Miss Tessmacher! I’m not quite sure where to even begin with this girl.

“The beauty of feuding with just about every Knockout in the locker room is that I’ve seen how they act on the road, I’ve seen the inside of their gear bags and this girl takes the cake when it comes to needy and finicky! For starters, everywhere she goes she packs a foam roller and a rolling pin?! The roller I can understand. We all get a little beat up from time to time and need a quick fix before the next match. But a rolling pin? I don’t even WANT TO KNOW! I also know that she wears the exact same under garments for every big match. I hope her pretty little brain can efficiently work a washer and dryer. Maybe she just buys stock in the same bra, socks and… never mind. Again, I don’t even WANT to know!

“One thing I do want to know though, is WHY I have caught her on more than one occasion warming up for a match by “booty popping” to Baby Got Back? Really? I need to sit some of these ladies down and give them a lesson on class and elegance! There was reportedly a lot of internal confusion in TNA as to whether they were married in TNA storylines, with even Hulk Hogan tweeting after the wedding that even though he got beat down by Aces & Eights, “Taz screwed everyone, the one good thing was the wedding came to an immediate halt, thank God. – The reason TNA announcer Taz turned heel and joined Aces & Eights is because the company wanted a surprise person to break up the Brooke Hogan wedding and they wanted the faction to have a strong talker on their side. The downside of Taz working as a heel with Aces & Eights is that the neck injury which ended his career also prevents him from doing anything physical in TNA.

Hulk Hogan has addressed the backlash surrounding his controversial tweet on Sunday where he tweeted a revealing picture of his daughter Brooke’s legs.

On Thursday’s episode of Impact Wrestling, the wedding of Brooke Hogan and Bully Ray took place – and surprisingly, things did not go off without a hitch. There was a hitch. A few hitches. – ImpactWrestling.com has announced that tonight’s scheduled TNA Women’s Knockout Championship Match between Miss Tessmacher and Gail Kim has been rescheduled for next week’s episode of Impact Wrestling.

Scott Steiner, who parted ways with TNA Wrestling in March, has continued to fire off messages on Twitter trashing his former employer’s uppeer hierarchy. In his latest series of messages, “Big Poppa Pump” slams Eric Bischoff, Brooke Hogan and Hulk Hogan for destroying TNA in his eyes. He also takes issue with Bischoff’s comments regarding him during a recent interview.

When asked of Steiner’s scathing Twitter rants, Bischoff said, “Scott is a 50-year-old man and is at a stage of his life where in his mind he is a much bigger star than in reality and he is having a hard time adjusting to that. It is sad to see, especially with people at one time you thought were friends become so bitter because their identities are so diluted in this wrestling character that they think it is their life. When that chapter of their life closes they can no longer perform to the level they need to perform to be able to compete with the younger talent.

“Some guys are able to adjust to that very well and just move on but other people like Scott Steiner just become bitter. I hope he finds a way to look back at his career and realise he was very fortunate, he made a lot of money, got to see the world and got to do things very few people got to do. I would like to see Scott become less bitter, he will be a much happier person.”

– Former WWE star Carlito is the latest wrestling name to take aim at Brooke Hogan. He posted a message on Twitter Friday mocking her role as on-screen authority figure and backstage consultant to the TNA Knockouts.

She was announced as Miss Tessmacher on Thursday’s live Impact Wrestling and ImpactWrestling.com has the name advertised for her Women’s Knockout Championship Match against Gail Kim at Slammiversary.

– A match pitting Angelina Love against ODB is the featured match on this week’s episode of TNA Xplosion on Challenge.

– This is how to NOT use social media …. Hulk Hogan made a bad gaffe on Twitter on Friday, re-tweeting a very sexual message about his daughter Brooke from one of his followers:
