Photos: Ric Flair Gets Physical at Wrestling Event in Puerto Rico

Last month, Ric Flair competed in his final match, bringing his legendary wrestling career to an end.

Flair teamed with Andrade El-Idolo to defeat Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett, in the main event of the ‘Ric Flair’s Last Match’ Pay Per View.

The match came eleven years after Flair’s previous bout (a TNA 2011 loss to Sting) and the 16-time World Champion has made it clear that he means it with this retirement.

Getting Physical

Ric Flair may indeed be officially retired from wrestling, but the “Dirtiest Player in the Game” isn’t afraid to still get physical when it matters.

Last night, Flair joined his son-in-law in Puerto Rico, as the AEW star and former WWE NXT Champion faced Carlito at the WWC Aniversario 2022 event.

On Twitter, Flair shared some photos of him confronting Carlito’s father and fellow WWE Hall of Famer Carlos Colon.

In the first image, Flair can be seen removing his jacket to confront the Puerto Rican legend, while the second image shows Flair taking a shot to the head.

The match, which was the main event of the show, saw Carlito defeat Andrade with Puerto Rico’s Ray Gonzalez acting as special guest referee.

After the show, both sides were more civil and posed together for a photo.

In addition to Carlito, Andrade, Flair and Colon, Charlotte Flair, daughter of Ric and wife of Andrade, and Carlito’s brother Primo joined them for the picture.

– The official Facebook page for Puerto Rico’s World Wrestling Council (WWC) promotion is pushing for Miguel Perez to be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame in 2016. Perez passed away in 2005, but worked for WWE in the late 1950s and 1960s. WWC is set to honor Perez at their upcoming Anniversario show later this month. WWC co-founder Carlos Colon was inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame in 2014.

– WWE Hall Of Famer Scott Hall is the guest on the latest edition of the “Steve Austin Show – Unleashed” podcast. The official description for the show, which you can download at PodcastOne.com reads as follows:

Steve Austin and Scott Hall meander through the early days of Scott’s pro-wrestling career. And the best thing of all – this is only part 1!

WWE SummerSlam 2014 Officially Sold Out, WWE Buying Another Tape Library?

    – Part of the reason WWE is inducting Carlos Colon into their Hall Of Fame is due to the fact that they will likely be purchasing his WWC video library. The general consensus seems to be that if they’re going to buy the library, it would only make sense to put the Hall Of Fame “stamp of approval” on the guy who is the enduring star of the collection.

    – This year’s WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view, which will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on August 17th, is officially sold out. Of the 14,000 tickets sold for the event, approximately 3,000 were bought with the mindset that the event would be a quick sellout — which it was — and are now available in the secondary market. Those tickets now range from $22 for cheap seats to $1,000-$5,000 for the first four rows.
