Carmella Says She Misses Working With R-Truth, Talks Her New Wine Brand

Former Smackdown Women’s Champion and 2x 24/7 Champion Carmella says she misses working with R-Truth and felt their act still had a lot left in it. Carmella is currently assigned to the Smackdown brand, however, and Truth to RAW. She spoke to BT Sport recently about her time with Truth.

“I felt like we still had so much more we could’ve done, it wasn’t, to me, getting old,” Carmella said. “I feel like we could have taken this and run with it for a long time, however, now I’m excited for when my opportunity comes again.”

Carmella On Her New Wine Brand

Carmella also recently spoke to SI.com about her new wine brand.

“I knew I needed to do something with all of my creativity, and I love drinking wine,” she said. “So I started researching and networking. We’re still in the early stages because I’m very busy with my WWE schedule, but it’s all very exciting.”

The name of Carmella’s win is Capo Cagna.

“That means ‘Boss Bitch’ in Italian,” said Van Dale. “It’s important to embrace your inner ‘Boss Bitch.’ I want women and girls who follow our shows to see that, and it’s important to empower them to follow their dreams. I’m a product of that, so it’s important to spread that message.”

R-Truth On 24/7 Championship Creative Input, Relationship With Vince McMahon

Current WWE 24/7 Champion R-Truth has opened up in a recent interview about his creative input when it came to championship changes. He also spoke about his favorite 24/7 Championship moment to date and addressed his relationship with Vince McMahon and partnership with Carmella.

Speaking with Comicbook.com, R-Truth explained how much he loves laughing and being entertained. These core factors helped him bring a creative edge to his reigns as champion. “This title has brought so much creativity out within me. Just coming up with different and new ways to do something entertaining, it’s like, it’s mine, I’ve mastered that,” he explained. “This title, man, does something no other title at WWE does, and it involves everybody.”

When asked about his favorite moment, Truth listed several memorable exchanges. He noted how “we’ve had so many of them.” For him, however, there’s one that continuously stands out. Unsurprisingly, it’s when he crashed Drake Maverick’s wedding to reclaim the gold.

“He’s Open To A Lot Of People”

Reflecting on his relationship with Vince McMahon, Truth divulged that he has a “good relationship” with Vince. He explained, “I’ve been on a lot of trips with Vince, as far as with overseas, going to visit the military. And even at work, man, with ideas, he’s open to a lot of people, everybody, pretty much. If you have a good idea, he wants you to come in there and prepare with it.”

Although now over, his recent partnership with Carmella helped both get valuable face time on WWE programming. R-Truth revealed how working with Carmella wasn’t his idea and that it “just happened.” He explained how she wasn’t involved in any storylines at the time. With him having just returned from should surgery, they were simply put together and their partnership quickly “blossomed.”

Jeff Hardy Pulled From Scheduled Appearance

Jeff Hardy will no longer be appearing at the annual Ringside Fest event in New York City. He was pulled from the scheduled appearance and replaced by Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss.

Jeff Hardy Arrested Again

The event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, November 3 at Carolines On Broadway in Times Square, New York City.

Although not confirmed, the belief is that the reason he was pulled from the appearance is due to his most recent DWI arrest in North Carolina back on October 3. He’s set to go to court on Thursday, November 7.

He’s been out of in-ring action after undergoing knee surgery earlier this year.

Details On Why WWE Split Up R-Truth And Carmella

The most recent WWE Draft has shaken up the promotion’s roster, mixing up Superstars across RAW and SmackDown. This draft, just like the Superstar Shakeup earlier in the year, has seen a number of real-life couples stay together. One pair, however, have seen their partnership split in the aftermath of WWE’s decision making.

Turns out that the comedic duo of R-Truth and Carmella were split in order to keep Carmella and her boyfriend, Corey Graves, together. Graves will be continuing his role as a commentator on Friday Night SmackDown. This led to Carmella being drafted to the blue brand. R-Truth, meanwhile, stays a part of the RAW roster as the current 24/7 Champion.

WWE Couples

Other real-life WWE couples that stayed together post-Draft include the WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins and the RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch. Charlotte Flair and Andrade were also kept together, as were Zelina Vega and Aleister Black. Another couple, Naomi and Jimmy Uso, were not a part of the draft. It’s been reported that there are still no current plans for The Usos or Naomi at this time.

It was noted by Dave Meltzer, via Wrestling Observer Radio, that WWE had no intention to split up Andrade from his manager, Vega. He also mentioned that Aleister Black, Cedric Alexander and Buddy Murphy all have a significant supporter in RAW’s Executive Director, Paul Heyman.

Carmella Reveals She Received Death Threats After She Was Accused Of Breaking Up Corey Graves’ Marriage

Carmella received death threats after she was wrongly accused of breaking up Corey Graves’ marriage with his wife.

That’s what the Princess of Staten Island said when appearing on the latest episode of Total Divas.

She also officially confirmed her relationship with the WWE announcer, while speaking to coworker Sonya Deville.

The rumors of Carmella having an affair with Graves started circulating when Graves’ wife Amy Polinsky published a now-deleted post on Instagram where she accused her husband of cheating on her with Carmella. Graves later addressed the situation and revealed that he is going through a divorce with his wife and that message was sent out during a particularly messy time when the two of them were not in a good place.

Carmella later went on The Bellas Podcast back in May where she said that she is not a homewrecker and that she’ll reveal the full story on Total Divas.

The episode has recently dropped on E! and on the show, Carmella cleared the air around her relationship with Graves.

“When Corey and I started dating, he was already going through a divorce and he’d moved out,” Carmella shared in a confessional. “He has his own place. She has hers. Man, I mean, there’s really nothing else to say about it.”

“I always follow the rules. I never f–king do anything wrong. I’m very like, by the book,” Carmella confided in Total Divas co-star Sonya Deville. “I even had anxiety [at] the thought of even entertaining the idea of dating him.”

However, the accusatory post by Graves’ ex-wife had done the damage. She was judged online and even received death threats from people, whereas her partner didn’t have to face the backlash.

“I’m uncomfortable. I feel like everyone is staring at me. I feel like everyone is judging me,” Carmella added later on. “It’s just crazy that they’re coming after me and for him it’s like, ‘Oh! Cool! Corey Graves got with Carmella. Good for him.'”

“Why the f–k would she go on social media and put that out there? I’m not kidding. This is not ok,” Carmella stated to Corey regarding the post. “I’m not ok right now. Literally, I’m getting death threats.”

Carmella broke down in tears even though Corey urged her to ignore the online drama.

“It’s like the hardest thing I’ve ever had to deal with. I don’t even know how to deal with it because I’ve never been through anything like this,” Carmella further expressed. “All I know is like, I love him and he loves me and we’re happy and I didn’t do anything wrong.”

Carmella Regains 24/7 Title From DJ Marshmello

Carmella is now a 2x 24/7 title champion after having regained the title Friday night during an unaired segment on Smackdown. She had previously lost the title to DJ Marshmello earlier in the show.

As Marshmello was attempting to leave the venue he opened a car door only to reveal another person dressed as DJ Marshmello inside. A 3rd Marshmello then came up from behind and rolled up the real Marshmello and got the pin. The 3rd Marshmello then revealed herself to be Carmella.

WWE posted the following video of Carmella regaining the title:

24/7 Title Statistics

Carmella recently passed Maria Kanellis in days spent as 24/7 champion. If she can hold on to the title past Monday’s RAW she’ll pass Elias as well.

Only 5 wrestlers have held the 24/7 title for longer than a day:

  2. Drake Maverick 6x champion – 23 days with title.
  3. Elias 4x champion – 15 days with title.
  4. Carmella 2x champion (current) 12+ days with title.

Carmella Opens Up About Recent Health Scare

Former Smackdown Women’s Champion Carmella posted on Instagram about a health scare she experienced recently. Carmella says in the post that the experience changed how she views some things in her life.

“For the first time in six years I was forced to slow down. I’ve never had an injury with time off or anything of the sort since I started with WWE. I was able to slow down for a few weeks and just be. It opened my mind and my eyes to the world I didn’t notice for six years and allowed me to be present instead of worrying about the next thing on my to do list,” Carmella wrote.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B1_Urn-Atvf/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

She doesn’t mention what the health issue she experienced involved but she did refer to it as a “scare” likely meaning she is at least not experiencing it anymore.

Carmella also says the experience helped her take a break from social media and put negative comments in perspective.

“I took a break from social media and it really allowed me to live in the moment and see what was right in front of me. I had conversations with people I would have normally never seen because my head would be buried in my phone. More importantly, social media is not real.”

She also spoke about what she has spent her time doing since she’s been away from WWE.

“I spent time with the most important people in my life. In a world where I’m constantly on the road, I rarely get more than a few hours with those who matter most to me. I’m grateful I was able to spend so much time with my sister and my parents who are my world. I was also constantly laughing with my boyfriend who is the most supportive man on the planet. I truly don’t know what I would do without him.”

The last time Carmella wrestled for WWE was on the July 29th RAW when her and R-Truth defeated Drake Maverick and his wife (with whom he has yet to consummate his marriage) Renee Michelle.

Carmella Isn’t Impressed With Lacey Evans’ Recent Accomplishment

Carmella isn’t impressed with Lacey Evans’ recent Instagram post.

In the post, Evans shared an image of herself showing off that she was named Best Breakout Superstar via WWE fan votes. It was accompanied with the caption: “Looooorrrddd look at me.”

https://www.instagram.com/p/B0ZaxZWnolS/?utm_source=ig_embed

This prompted Carmella to reply “To be fair, you’re the only new female talent that they’ve actually used all year.”

Evans, seemingly trying to take the high road, responded that her big hats help to protect her from the shade that Carmella was throwing her way. She commented she was simply minding her own business before it began to reek of “jealousy, discontent & classlessness.”

“Future’s so bright my big hats help with shade yall ??
#BlessHerHeart

Yall smell that? I’m over here at a spa minding my own business & it starts reeking of jealousy, discontent & classlessness. swallow it, ya Nasty. #NothingButANasty #HardPillToSwallow”

SummerSlam

Neither Lacey Evans nor Carmella are currently scheduled for a matchup during WWE’s SummerSlam pay-per-view.

Lacey featured in the main event of last month’s Extreme Rules show alongside partner, Baron Corbin. The two would lose to Seth Rollins and RAW Women’s Champion, Becky Lynch.

Carmella, who has been partnered with R-Truth, has been in several popular comedy segments revolving around R-Truth’s neverending pursuit for, and protection of, the 24/7 Championship.

Carmella Shares First Public Photo With Boyfriend Corey Graves

Carmella and Corey Graves are finally going public with their relationship.

The two WWE performers have been dating for some time now. Their relationship first became public knowledge when the two were accused of being involved in an affair by Graves’ ex-wife. The two would ultimately deny the claims.

This week, Carmella took to social media to finally post the first public photo of the two together. She posted a photo of the two laughing together on her official Instagram page on Friday with a caption that reads as follows:

“The goal is to laugh forever with someone you take serious.”

Carmella Calls Out Mandy Rose For Being Unsafe

The Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match would kickstart WWE’s recent event this past Sunday. It’s often advertised as a dangerous, high stakes matchup where its competitors don’t always come away the way they entered.

Unfortunately, this appears to be the case for at least one of the women involved.

During the matchup, Carmella appeared to suffer an injury to her knee after an exchange with Mandy Rose. The two had an awkward exchange in the ring after Carmella seemingly suffered the injury, refusing to engage with Mandy Rose and telling her to go away.

Taking to Twitter, she would lash out after being baited by a recent tweet by Mandy, which read:

“Aw how’s your knee hunny? Also, go back to being a brunette, you’re never gonna look like me. #MITB #GodsGreatestCreation”

Carmella would Tweet (and delete) the following reply:

“Trust me, I don’t wanna look like you babe. You could never pull off both. Also, go back to NXT and learn how to be safe in the ring.”

Whether the injury is legit or not is up for debate, especially as the “Staten Island Princess” would return late into the matchup in her efforts to become a three-time Money In The Bank winner.

What isn’t up for debate, however, is Carmella’s frustration with Mandy Rose—a frustration that may just play out on WWE.

Carmella Says She Is Not a Homewrecker in Response to Corey Graves Rumors

Carmella is not a homewrecker.

That’s the message from the former Smackdown women’s champion as she addressed rumors that she started dating WWE commentator Corey Graves while he was still married to the wife of his children.

Earlier this year, Graves’ wife Amy unleashed an explosive post (that was later deleted) on her Instagram where she accused him of cheating on her with Carmella.

Graves later addressed the situation by revealing that he’s going through a divorce with his estranged wife and that message was sent out during a particularly messy time when the two of them were not in a good place.

Now Carmella is responding during a recent appearance on ‘The Bellas Podcast’ where she spoke to retired WWE superstars Nikki and Brie Bella.

“Let me just first and foremost say I would never wreck somebody’s home. That is not the life that I’m about,” Carmella stated. “I would never in a million years do that. I don’t care how hot the guy is, how in love I think I am, that is not the life I’m about.

“So I’m going to kill that rumor right now. That absolutely did not happen, I did not wreck a home.”

Based on Graves’ previous statement about his divorce, it would appear that a potential relationship with Carmella sprung up in the aftermath of his marriage ending.

Still, Carmella promises that there is more to this story than what has been exposed publicly because apparently all of the drama will unfold during the new season of ‘Total Divas’ on the E! network.

“I will say there’s always so many sides to each story so if you do want to know the truth about this story, you guys already mentioned I will be on ‘Total Divas’ this season, so the whole story plays out on ‘Total Divas’,” Carmella said. “So if you do want to know, you’ve got to tune in.”

Carmella had previously appeared on a past season of ‘Total Divas’ and then did not return to the show. Now she is back as one of the regular cast members for the next season of ‘Total Divas’, which will debut on E! later this year.

Carmella Hoping To Have A Cool Run As A ‘Good Guy’

Carmella has spent the majority of her main roster run as a heel but now that she has turned a face, she is excited to have a run as a ‘good guy’.

The former Women’s Champion recently had an interview with TV Insider to promote the Superstar Shakeup where she talked about a number of different things.

While talking about her character, Carmella first recalled her run as a heel champion last year. She had won the championship by cashing in her Money In The Bank contract at Charlotte Flair during a SmackDown episode in April.

Continuing on the topic, she discussed her pairing with R Truth that has led to a face turn and said that she is excited to hopefully have a good run as a babyface:

“I did all these amazing things as champion. Then this stuff with R-Truth happened. It’s been really cool. I completely changed my character. People like me now, which is so crazy. Who knows what will happen from here. I’m just excited to have hopefully a cool run as a good guy. We’ll see what happens.”

Apart from this, Carmella also talked about possibly moving to Monday Night Raw during Superstar Shakeup after being a part of SmackDown Live since the reintroduction of the Brand Split.

Though after this week’s episode of Raw, we know that this won’t be the case and the former Champion is staying in the Blue Roster. You can check out a list of all the SmackDown Superstars who moved to Raw here.

Carmella And Sonya Deville Exchange Heated Words Via Social Media

With their matchup imminently taking place on Tuesday’s SmackDown Live, WWE Superstars Carmella and Sonya Deville have been trading barbs with one another in anticipation of their clash.

It started harmlessly enough, as Sonya Deville said:

“Man I’m sorry I just ain’t gettin beat out by a dance break #embarrassing”

Carmella would respond with a list of her WWE accomplishments. This, however, was an opportunity for Deville to try and get a knock at the former Women’s Champion, as she highlighted James Ellsworth as a contributing factor to the majority of her accomplishments:

“”I set out to let men fight my battles for me too” -said no one ever #Ellsworth So sit down before I rip that fake hair out your damn head”

This then set off a hostile train reaction between the two women as Carmella responded with:

“Says the chick who got eliminated by her “day one” at #WWEEvolution. Why don’t you put your hair up and square up with me this Tuesday on #SDLive? Unless you’re gonna be too embarrassed when you lose to the chick with the dance breaks..”

WWE followed their exchange with an announcement that Carmella and Sonya Deville would have the opportunity to settle their differences on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live.

Carmella Receives Praise From Former WWE Star, Interesting Pete Dunne Stat

Carmella Receives Praise From Former WWE Star

Former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Carmella received some praise from former WWE star Lance Storm after he watched this week’s episode of SmackDown Live that saw Carmella and Charlotte Flair lose to Becky Lynch in a triple threat match in order to become the new #1 contender for the SmackDown Women’s Title.

Storm wrote on his official Twitter account, “@CarmellaWWE gets a lot of flax, from online critics, for her work, so I think it’s worth mentioning that I thought she really held up her end of the main event 3 way this week on #SDLive Not sure fans appreciate how difficult this job is.”

Interesting Pete Dunne Stat

WWE has shared an interesting stat about NXT UK Champion Pete Dunne as they mentioned in a recent tweet that he has held the title for 600 days after winning the title from inaugural champion Tyler Bate.

Dunne is slated to make his next title defense against Joe Coffey at the first-ever WWE NXT UK TakeOver special, NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool, that goes down on Saturday, January 12 at the Empress Ballroom and will air on their streaming service, the WWE Network. WWE sent out this tweet:

R-Truth And Carmella Are On Their Mixed Match Challenge Vacation

Together, Carmella and R-Truth were victorious in WWE’s Mixed Match Challenge tournament finals, which took place in December. They defeated the team of Jinder Mahal and Alicia Fox during WWE’s Tables, Ladders and Chairs event.

This victory granted them two things: guaranteed #30 spots in their respective Rumble matches, and an all expenses paid vacation to anywhere in the world.

It was at this point that R-Truth divulged that he had taken care of it for the team. He revealed that he had signed them up for a trip to — of all places — WWE headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut. To say Carmella was disappointed at R-Truth’s revelation would be an understatement.

This week, the team have been in Stamford, filming various segments following their experience around WWE HQ’s.

R-Truth and Carmella have filmed with Cathy Kelley, and have also recorded segments with Corey Graves and others in and around the headquarters. Each segment will undoubtedly be intended to continue the comedic stylings that the duo have become known for on WWE television.

Are you looking forward to viewing these when they view on SmackDown Live? Do you think R-Truth or Carmella could win the Rumble, thanks to their #30 slots?

R-Truth And Carmella Are The Jay-Z And Beyonce Of Wrestling, Says R-Truth

“We’re pretty much the Jay-Z and Beyonce of wrestling.”

That is how R-Truth thinks of himself and Carmella.

Truth took time away from his dancing schedule to guest on Chasing Glory with Lilian Garcia recently.

Over the course of the interview, he discussed the odd couple pairing with Carmella, and how it came to be.

R-Truth And Carmella Dance Break

Before the pair went on to win the Mixed Match Challenge, R-Truth was treading water.

“The writers didn’t know what to do with me or where to put me,” he explained.

“Once they put me and Carmella together, it was like, now I have something to do,” Truth said.

“Not only do I have something to do, it’s double the entertainment.”

“That’s the business. You’re just waiting for that bone to be thrown to you,” Truth said.

“When opportunity knocks, you have to be ready.

Carmella’s Face Turn

Truth says that when he and Carmella were paired, there were no concrete plans for either to turn. Rather, the audience ended up making both of them babyfaces.

“She was a bad guy. She was a heel. Just by her going out there with me, it turned her, and people took to it.”

As for the pairing of characters, Truth admits that he had reservations as to how the audience might respond to his character being aligned with the Princess Of Staten Island.

“In society today, for them to take to me and her like that, it was great,” he said.

Truth also discusses selling drugs as a youth, his “four or five” trips to jail, how he survived being incarcerated, and his path to the WWE, all on Chasing Glory.

The full episode can be found below.

Carmella Says She’ll Be Champion Again Someday

Carmella won the first two women’s Money in the Bank matches in 2017. She cashed-in the briefcase the Tuesday after WrestleMania and defeated Charlotte Flair to win the title. ‘Mella then went on to defend the title 3x on WWE programming within a 131-day reign.

She spoke to Metro UK about possibly being champion again someday.

“I will become champion again,” Carmella said. “That’s for sure, but right now everyone has their moment and then you get back into the mix. I’m not in any rush, when it happens it’ll happen.”

As for what Carmella is up to now, however, she’s happy in her role with R-Truth. The tandem recently won the Mixed Match Challenge and earned the last entrance into their respective Royal Rumbles.

“I didn’t know (R-Truth) that well before we started this whole thing but he’s such an easygoing guy,” Carmella said. “It’s been really fun getting to know him, and honestly, how you see us on TV is how we are in real life. We finish each other’s sentences, we’re so silly and we have turned into such good friends. I feel super lucky, he’s a great, great guy and he’s not afraid to make a fool out of himself and have a good time.”

WWE Plans For R-Truth And Carmella

If you’ve been a fan of R-Truth and Carmella’s antics in recent weeks, then you’ll be happy to hear that WWE doesn’t want to wrap up their partnership any time soon.

The pair recently won the Mixed Match Challenge finals at this past weekend’s Tables, Ladders and Chairs event. This victory has afforded them to each enter their respective Royal Rumbles at the lucrative number 30 spot when the event takes place this coming January. In addition to their Rumble placement, they were also gifted an all expenses paid vacation to anywhere in the world.

It was at this point that R-Truth divulged that he had taken care of it for the team. He revealed that he had signed them up for a trip to — of all places — WWE headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut. To say Carmella was disappointed at R-Truth’s revelation would be an understatement.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, WWE intends to film numerous vignettes of Carmella and R-Truth visiting WWE headquarters.

It’s reported that these vignettes won’t be filmed until after Christmas. Each one is intended to continue the comedic stylings that R-Truth and Carmella have become known for on WWE television.

What do you think of this? Is the partnership of R-Truth and Carmella working for you?

Smackdown Women React (Strangely) To WWE Evolution Battle Royal Announcement

Several members of the Smackdown Live Women’s division responded in interesting fashion to news of the battle royal at Evolution. The match was added to the upcoming all-women PPV last night during Raw.

WWE tagged each confirmed participant of the battle royal on Twitter last night. Several of the competitors then responded to the news. They don’t seem that impressed.

Carmella Comments On Being A “Rapping Manager” For R-Truth

Carmella has spent much of her time on the main roster as a heel. She won 2 Money in the Bank matches and the Smackdown Women’s Championship while playing the role. Recently, however, “Mella” has been teaming with R-Truth and has seemingly made an abrupt babyface turn. She spoke with TV Insider recently about her new pairing and everything else that has gone on in her career these last few years.

“I want to keep growing and learning,” Carmella said. “And whatever opportunity I’m given right now like for R-Truth, I will be the best rapping manager for Truth. I want to do whatever I can do to be the best at whatever I’m doing.”

She also mentioned she was thrilled to be ranked an 80 in WWE 2K19 this year.

“First off can we talk about how I’m an 80 in the game. That’s so cool. I thought maybe I’d get 47 or something.”

Carmella and R-Truth: The Fabulous Truth

R-Truth and Carmella form the team “The Fabulous Truth” in this year’s Mixed Match Challenge. They dropped their opening round-robin match to last year’s winners, Asuka and Miz.

Carmella also commented on the strides made in WWE’s women’s divisions in the last few years.

“It’s crazy to think in a few months we’ve gone from, ‘Oh my gosh, the women are the main event of SmackDown Live. Can you believe it?’ And now the women are the main event. It’s not even a big deal. It has become the norm. I think that is rightfully so. It’s about time.”

Carmella Explains Why She Changed Her Hair Color

Following the end of last night’s SmackDown Live, Carmella provided an explanation as to why she recently changed her hair color.

Speaking with Kayla Braxon backstage, Carmella was asked by the interviewer, “Obviously there is a little bit of a change with you. What prompted this?”

The Princess of Staten Island replied, “[…] I just wanted to change. I mean, this is my natural hair color. I wanted to go back to my roots, no pun intended. I just wanted to change, so…I mean, it’s no surprise.”

Carmella then joked how everything she does causes people to talk about her and her actions, reminding viewers that she is still “Main Event ‘Mella” and that “‘Mella is Money,” after all.

“But in all seriousness,” she continued, “I guess it’s just the change. People are used to seeing me with blonde hair and so far the reactions have been pretty good, so I’ll take it. For right now, I’m going to say I’m going to stay dark, I’m going to stay brunette,” she declared.

“But you never know what happens. But I think, so far, brunettes have more fun.”

Carmella debuted the new look recently at a WWE Live Event in Tuscon, Arizona.

Carmella Discusses Women’s Evolution, Being A Heel

Carmella recently conducted an interview where she talked about a wide range of topics. Former SmackDown Women’s Champion spoke with TVInsider and during this interview, she spoke about the women’s evolution and how the WWE has handled this movement to the point where they are holding an all-women’s PPV event.

Carmella stated that they are in the middle of it and WWE has held the first-ever women’s Royal Rumble, Money in the Bank and other matches. She added that she thinks it’s so cool to know that her name will always go down in history.

She also talked about her rise to the top and being portrayed as a heel on WWE television. She noted that she never thought in a million years that she would be where she’s at now and that it’s just surreal that she is the first Ms. Money in the Bank.

“I was champion. I beat Asuka twice. I beat Charlotte twice. When I was here if I told people, I would be doing this, people would laugh. They’d probably say, ‘Yeah right. Carmella?’ But I did it baby.”

She stated that she knows that her role is to get fans to hate her and if she attempts to do some cool things that result in a positive reaction then she is not doing anything for her opponent in the ring as she doesn’t want to be somewhat cheered and somewhat hated.

“I went out there wanting people to hate me, and I’m going to do everything I possibly can to get everyone to do that. I just feel it’s important to do what’s right and not necessarily what is right for you but right for everybody.”
