Sasha Banks has been an arch enemy for Charlotte Flair inside the ring and one of the best friends outside it for long. They started together at the bottom in NXT and have served as the faces of the Women’s Revolution alongside the other Horsewomen. That’s why Flair can’t even imagine never getting to wrestle the former champion again.
The Queen was the most recent guest of Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Sessions. Among other things, she was asked for her thoughts on the situation with Sasha Banks and Naomi walking out of WWE.
Charlotte Flair mentioned how she has been away from WWE since WrestleMania Backlash, so she doesn’t really know the real story behind their walkout. Flair did admit that she cannot imagine never getting to wrestle Banks again:
“One, I haven’t been there because I left after Backlash. I know what it’s like to jump on social media and read these headlines that are so far from the truth. So I don’t know what happened but what I can say is – ‘I can’t imagine never wrestling Sasha again.'”

‘She Is My Ricky Steamboat’: Charlotte Flair
Charlotte Flair then claimed that Banks is her Ricky Steamboat. She explained that she is not in the position to speak on behalf of the company or the competitors:
“That would be hard for me to compartmentalize. Cause we started together. She is my Ricky Steamboat. My dad always tells her that. Then with Trin [Naomi], we just had hell of a match on SmackDown. And I’m like ‘Oh there is unfinished business there because of circumstances and storyline, whatever.’
So for me, I just can’t imagine not working with them, but in terms of what they are going through, it’s not my place to speak on behalf of the company or them because I am not there right now.”
The good news for both Flair and the fans of Banks and Naomi is that a lot of things have changed in WWE recently. The regime change has led to much positive environment being established between the talent and the management. The result of it is that both the former champions have reportedly agreed to a new agreement with the promotion.

WWE’s Money in the Bank is just a few weeks away and the qualifying matches are underway on both the RAW and Smackdown brands.
So far for the women, Lacey Evans, Alexa Bliss, Raquel Rodriguez, and Liv Morgan have qualified. For the men, Seth “Freakin” Rollins, Sheamus, and Drew McIntyre have earned their way into the Money in The Bank ladder match.
After those names qualified the match graphics on the screen showed seven participants for both the men’s and women’s matches. This is a change from previous years that usually saw eight participants in both matches.
While the graphics show seven participants according to WWE’s website, they mention there will be eight participants this year. It could be an oversight, or it could mean we are in for some surprises for this PPV.
There are three potential surprise returns we could see at the Money in the Bank this year if all the participants are not revealed ahead of time.
Bayley
(via WWE)
I believe speak for most wrestling fans when I say we are all anticipating her return.
Bayley has not appeared on TV since July 2, 2021, due to a torn ACL she suffered from a freak accident while training at the WWE Performance Center. She has teased a bit on social media while she has been out, leaving fans guessing as to when we may see the “Role Model” make her grand return.
The latest tease was a post of what appears to be a laced-up boot she posted on both Twitter and Instagram. If she is cleared and ready, what bigger return than the Money in the Bank match where she could possibly snag the briefcase giving her the opportunity at a title shot?
Right before Bayley got injured, she was in a hot feud with Bianca Belair, who at the time was the Smackdown Women’s Champion. Bianca Belair is now the RAW women’s champion and there is some unfinished business, especially for Bayley.
Either way, Bayley making her return and capturing the briefcase would at the least be entertaining, especially given the obnoxious trolling character she was when she left.
An argument can also be made that if you are returning fresh from an ACL injury would you want to put her in a ladder match first thing coming back? While she should be cleared regardless, I can see them exercising caution as well.
This without a doubt would be the biggest return audience pop they could garner right now.
Charlotte Flair
(via WWE)
No matter how you feel about Charlotte Flair, she shines bright on a big stage.
Last we saw Charlotte Flair was her saying “I quit!” at Wrestlemania Backlash in her “I Quit” match against Ronda Rousey. WWE reported later on the PPV that Charlotte had suffered a fracture of the radius as a result of the armbar, but it was reported this was all part of storyline to write Flair off TV.
As we now know she was being written off so she and her now-husband, AEW star Andrade El Idolo, could get married. It was never reported how long she would be absent, so we fully expect her to pop up now that they are back from their honeymoon.
Charlotte Flair always seems to find herself in the title picture, so it isn’t far-fetched to think that she may make her grand return and be a surprise entrant in the ladder match. If she were to win the Money in the Bank briefcase it would be an easy way to set up a rematch between herself and Ronda Rousey.
It would also be a change in the norm, as Charlotte Flair has been the one cashed in on three times of the four winners.
Whether she wins the match or not, this would be a great way for her to make her comeback and set up a SummerSlam match since the PPV is set for three weeks after Money in the Bank this year.
Bum A** Corbin
(via WWE)
Baron Corbin has gone through many transformations over years, but none have been more endearing, welcoming, and entertaining as Bum Corbin.
Last we saw Bum Corbin was back around SummerSlam 2021 in Las Vegas where his luck turned around and he became Happy Corbin. This past Smackdown after losing to Madcap Moss in a Last Laugh match, Corbin addressed commentator Pat McAfee upset about his criticisms over the last year and for coining the nickname Bum A** Corbin.
He then threatened to drag him into the ring, hinting at maybe a future match. Pat McAfee did not let Corbin go without a response, and with the help of the WWE Universe laughed Baron Corbin out of the arena.
Money in the Bank is being held in Las Vegas this year where Bum Corbin won “big” and became Happy Corbin. It would be poetic if this year Happy Corbin enters the Money in the Bank ladder match, loses, and tries his luck at the casinos again, except this time he loses.
Down on his luck again, we may see the return of Bum A** Corbin? Corbin arguably did some of his best character work as Bum Corbin, I think it would be a welcomed return by most fans.
Money in the Bank is one of the most fun Pay-Per-Views of the year and a lot of people look forward to the surprises. The unknown of the briefcase winners and potential cash-ins make it all the more exciting.
If any of these surprise returns were to happen this year, it would shake things up for the rest of the year in WWE.
One high-profile superstar isn’t expected to make an appearance on the June 10 episode of SmackDown.
This week’s episode of SmackDown will be held inside the Raising Cane’s River Center in Baton Rouge, LA. Ricochet will be putting the WWE Intercontinental Championship on the line against Gunther.
While some speculation has run rampant on social media, one major star will not be returning tomorrow night.
Charlotte Flair A No Go For SmackDown
(via WWE)
Charlotte’s husband, Andrade El Idolo, made his return to AEW TV this past Wednesday on Dynamite. The two had been on their honeymoon but now that Andrade is back, it led some to wonder if Charlotte would follow suit this week.
PWInsider is reporting that Charlotte Flair is not on tap for tomorrow’s episode of SmackDown.
WWE wrote Charlotte off TV at the conclusion of her WrestleMania Backlash match with Ronda Rousey. WWE’s storyline update was that Charlotte suffered a fractured radius in the match.
Charlotte is actually fine and is expected to reignite her feud with Rousey once she returns.
The Hell In A Cell pay-per-view, and the match itself, make up a huge piece of WWE’s history. A newer piece of said history is that of the few women’s Hell In A Cell matches we’ve seen. As a result of the women’s revolution, the female performers in WWE got the opportunity to go at it inside the cell just like the men.
So far, there has been four women’s Hell In A Cell matches. Three out of the four have included Sasha Banks. Women’s Hell In A Cell matches were featured at the following Hell In A Cell pay-per-views: 2016, 2019, 2020, and 2021. We have seen Sasha Banks vs. Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks vs. Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks vs. Bayley, and Bayley vs. Bianca Belair.
Throughout the years, the women’s match has always been one to steal the show. Many times we only see wrestlers get thrown into the cell when the feud is undeserving of it. However, with there being only one women’s Hell In A Cell match, it is normally given to the feud that is most deserving of it.
Previous Women’s Hell In A Cell Matches
Sasha Banks vs. Charlotte Flair (2016)
Charlotte and Sasha set the stage for what the women could do inside Hell In A Cell. From their entrances, you could tell that this match was extremely meaningful. These women took brutal and captivating bumps before the bell even rang. Even though there were some unfortunate, and uncontrollable, mishaps, these women were able to put forward incredible efforts. Unfortunately, the finish of the match was messed up, and the result deflated the crowd, but these women went on to have better matches against each other.
Sasha Banks vs. Becky Lynch (2019)
Sasha Banks vs Becky Lynch has been regarded as one of the best women’s wrestling matches in the WWE. This was viewed as Sasha Banks’ redemption match from her match with Charlotte Flair. The atmosphere of this match really enhanced the match itself. There was so much creativity within this match that it set the bar for the other female Hell In A Cell matches to come. The match itself is regarded as one of the best Hell In A Cell matches of all time.
Sasha Banks vs Bayley (2020)
Sasha Banks vs Bayley was the culmination of one of the biggest stories during WWE’s pandemic era. Banks’ legacy was partially formed due to the incredible matches she had within the cell. Each year, we have seen Sasha improvise and create new things to do within the cell. Bayley’s first go in the cell was one of the defining matches of the pandemic. She was not afraid to take the bumps necessary to make it as legendary as it was.
Sasha and Bayley have such a long history that they were able to use that to their advantage. Everyone remembers their match from NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn. They did all they could to create new spots and moments to try and make the match just as memorable.
Bayley vs Bianca Belair (2021)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLiErWk2OLI
Bianca Belair’s first time in the cell was epic. With only about five years of experience, Belair was able to define her career with that match. From Bianca’s gear to her creativity inside the match, it was one of the significant matches in Bianca’s match catalog.
It would be a crime to not mention the performance that Bayley put on in this match. Bayley worked this match as the veteran had already competed against Sasha in the cell the year before. She was able to lead the match while still playing up her usual heel tactics. Bayley had been messing with Bianca since before she won the title. This was the perfect stipulation for this feud that was unfortunately was also the last match in the feud as Bayley got hurt before their scheduled ‘I Quit’ match.
The Importance Of Women’s Hell In A Cell Matches
It’s another scathing indictment of the booking of the women’s division that there is not a women’s Hell In A Cell match on this card. Between the walkout and suspension of the women’s Hell In A Cell veteran Sasha Banks and Naomi, and the lack of strong storylines in the women’s division on SmackDown, it is honestly no surprise that this is where the division is at right now. As the card currently stands, the SmackDown Women’s Championship isn’t even being defended at the pay-per-view.
Possible Hell In A Cell Matches For This Year
Each year, we see new women enter the cell and test the limits of their in-ring ability. It’s sad that this will not be the case this year. There are many women on the roster who would’ve been deserving of the Hell In A Cell match slot.
The best option for this year seems to be Liv Morgan vs Rhea Ripley. If Asuka hadn’t returned, it would’ve made sense to do Becky Lynch vs Bianca Belair inside the cell for the Raw Women’s Championship. This would’ve been the perfect match stipulation to tie a bow on their long-running feud. The Raw Women’s Championship feud is currently based on a two-person feud that Bianca was placed in. It doesn’t make sense to put this feud inside of the cell due to the lack of engagement in the feud from the champion herself.
There are many combinations of undeveloped stars within the division that would’ve especially benefited from having the experience of being in the cell. Especially those like Rhea Ripley, Shotzi, Liv Morgan, Doudrop, Zelina Vega, Shayna Baszler, and so much more would benefit from being in a match like this.
They truly have dropped the ball with the opportunity to include a women’s Hell In A Cell match like they have for the last three years. The division, especially in the state it is in without its big stars like Sasha, Naomi, and Charlotte, the other women in the division would’ve benefitted from the chance to compete in a more hardcore and savage match stipulation.
Just ahead of the WrestleMania Backlash event, Charlotte is already prepared to accuse Ronda Rousey of cheating.
Charlotte will be defending her WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship against Rousey tonight (May 8). The action will be held inside the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island.
(via WWE)
Charlotte Ready To Take An L?
Appearing on WWE’s The Bump, “The Queen” let it be known that if she can’t successfully retain her gold tonight then it must be due to something nefarious on “Rowdy’s” part (h/t Fightful).
“I have nothing left to prove. I already beat Ronda on the grandest stage. I was the first female to beat her in a singles competition. If she wins or if she has me say I quit, it’s because she cheated.
“I don’t know, it’s hard [to rank my different accomplishments.] They’re also different. I mean, beating Asuka’s streak at WrestleMania 34 was a huge accomplishment. Main eventing WrestleMania 35. But I think beating Ronda just cemented that I’m the top woman here. So every accomplishment has a different feel to it. It was a big one.”
Rousey was indeed pinned by the SmackDown Women’s Champion at WrestleMania 38.
“The Queen” had tapped out to an armbar but the referee never saw it. She hit Rousey with a big boot as she was trying to wake the referee up for the three-count.

Becky Lynch and Charlotte haven’t restored their friendship.
There was a time when Becky and Charlotte were good friends. The two had been chummy dating back to their NXT days and that hadn’t changed on the main roster before things took a bad turn.
The relationship was reportedly strained after Becky called Charlottle “plastic” during a promo a few years back.
The frustration between the two eventually boiled over on WWE TV with Charlotte not engaging in a planned tug of war with Becky during a segment on SmackDown. This was to promote their champion vs. champion match at Survivor Series in 2021.
Becky Lynch & Charlotte Still On The Outs
During an interview with Ariel Helwani for BT Sport, Becky Lynch said that while she wishes the situation could’ve been avoided, she doesn’t regret how she handled herself.
“I wish the whole thing didn’t go down the way it did. It didn’t need to go down that way but I don’t really have any regrets on my behalf.”
When asked where things stand with Charlotte now, Becky’s answer was short and sweet.
“Same.”
As far as interactions go, a simple “hello” is about all that’s left.
“Sometimes, maybe a nod.”
Becky said she realizes that despite the bad blood, the two are still co-workers.
“We have to do live events often two days a week. So, one has to be able to co-exist. We haven’t had to work together though.”
While there is a ton of pride when it comes to the friendship lost, Becky admitted that the split did leave her feeling emotional.
“You talked to me afterwards and I was quite emotional just especially watching the video packages. I think WWE does such an incredible job. That team is amazing at putting video packages together but to see the journey of where we had started to where we are now where we just hated each other and wanted to fight and wanted to rip each other’s heads off.
“It really got to me.”

The heat between Charlotte and Becky Lynch reminds one WWE Hall of Famer of his own experience.
Charlotte and Becky are scheduled to clash at the Survivor Series PPV on Nov. 21. Charlotte will represent SmackDown, while Becky is the gold standard of the women’s division on Raw.
There is some legit bad blood between the two former friends.
It came to a head on the Oct. 22 episode of SmackDown, when Charlotte reportedly went off-script during a title exchange segment.
The two were said to have been involved in a shouting match backstage. It was reported that Charlotte was escorted out of the building while Becky was gearing up for a dark match.
Jerry Lawler Recalls His Own Situation In Light Of Charlotte-Becky Beef
Appearing on Busted Open Radio, Jerry “The King” Lawler compared issues he had with Bill Dundee to the beef between Charlotte and Becky Lynch.
“Oh without a doubt. That happens a lot but you try your best to kinda cover it up when you’re actually on the air or in front of fans.
“In my case, probably one of my best not only opponents but partners throughout the years was Bill ‘Superstar’ Dundee.
“I’m sitting at a table where I just happen to have these right in front of me. Here’s the AWA World Tag Team Championship. The only world tag team titles that I ever won and Bill Dundee was my partner during that.
“Also, we looked back and realized that Bill and I probably wrestled against each other almost 500 times. And that’s one that most people would not realize that Bill and I never had the best relationship.
“There was always a little, I don’t know if there was an animosity. I always felt it was like professional jealousy, so we never palled around or hung around each other at all and there was always that, I don’t want to say hard feelings but it was a strained relationship.
“I think that’s the situation that Becky and Charlotte find themselves in right now and I think a lot of that, we don’t want to admit it, but it is professional jealousy.”

Becky Lynch is of the belief that Charlotte had every intention to disrespect her.
The title exchange segment that took place on the Oct. 22 episode of SmackDown didn’t exactly go according to plan.
It was reported by PWInsider that Charlotte and Becky were to engage in a tug of war with the Raw Women’s Championship but instead, Charlotte dropped the title. Becky then threw the SmackDown Women’s Championship at Charlotte.
Furthermore, it was reported that Becky and Charlotte engaged in a shouting match backstage. It’s been said that Charlotte was escorted out of the building as Becky had a dark match and WWE officials didn’t want things to escalate.
Disrespect
(via WWE)
Becky appeared on The MMA Hour and told Ariel Helwani that she feels Charlotte’s actions were done solely to make her look bad.
“There was a plan in place that was supposed to go one way and if it went one way then everyone would’ve had a moment and it would’ve been great.
“I, in the back, said, ‘This isn’t gonna happen. She’s gonna do something else.’ She did exactly what I said that she was gonna do.
“Sometimes things can happen out there and people can get carried away in a moment and you don’t have time to process what happens, but I knew that she was gonna purposely disrespect me.
“I processed it a lot quicker and so, I was able to hold it together until I got backstage. I did what I was supposed to do and then when I got backstage I lost it a little bit.”
Becky Lynch & Ric Flair Have Words
Ric Flair recently took to his Twitter account to express his excitement over seeing his daughter, Charlotte, take out Becky at Survivor Series.
I Think I’m Going To Have To Make The Trip Personally To See You Beat The Piss Out Of @MsCharlotteWWE! I Don’t Think So Sister, The Man, Big Time Becks, Or Whatever You Call Yourself. There’s Not Enough Choreography In The Business To Save You @BeckyLynchWWE. ???
Becky had a scathing response, referring to accusations hurled at Ric over the Plane Ride From Hell.
“It’s really sad, because this is a legend at one point, Ric Flair is now jealous of me, it’s cool for me, he’s now using me to get clout to promote whatever he has going on because he’s dug himself into a hole with other things.”
Update: Ric Flair has since responded to Becky Lynch’s comments about him on the MMA Hour podcast. As seen below, Flair claims he’s still “The Man” and tells Lynch to “ask her husband” about that.
So Disappointed! I Did This Out Of Respect For You @BeckyLynchWWE! It Made You Millions & Made Me Nothing. After 40 Years Of Being The Man… The Company Doesn’t Own It, And Neither Do You! I’ll Always Be The Man! Ask Your Husband. pic.twitter.com/VjeyyMElG3
WWE Survivor Series will be taking place this Sunday night (Nov. 21). Becky and Charlotte will go toe-to-toe in a non-title champion vs. champion match.

Bully Ray has given his take on the reports that Charlotte has been difficult to work with.
Charlotte made some waves recently in the wrestling industry, although not in the way she intended. Things went array on the Oct. 22 episode of SmackDown. During a title exchange segment, Charlotte went off the script by dropping the Raw Women’s Championship instead of engaging in a tug of war with Becky Lynch.
This reportedly led to a verbal argument between Charlotte and Becky backstage. PW Torch later reported that many within WWE have found Charlotte to be increasingly difficult to work with.
Bully Ray Speaks On Charlotte Situation
During an episode of Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray said that a wrestler being difficult to work with could boil down to many things. One of the main ones is when a performer takes pride in how their character comes across on TV.
“Difficult to work with also comes down to knowing your worth. You see, the wrestling business has morphed into this weird, quirky yes-man, yes-woman territory. If you don’t just say, ‘Yes’ to everything, if you stand your ground and fight for what you believe in, you’re deemed difficult. By that definition, don’t you think wrestlers like The Undertaker, or Stone Cold Steve Austin, or The Rock were difficult to work with?”
Bully also went on to say that he doesn’t agree with the “difficult” label being tossed around in that situation.
“Is that truly difficult? No, it’s just somebody believing in their convictions the way their character has been portrayed. It’s not always, ‘Well this is what the office wants, you have to do it this way.’ There’s talking, there’s negotiating, there’s working it out. So, when I hear the term ‘difficult’ I really try to put it under a microscope and find out, how is this person so difficult to work with? You mentioned Charlotte Flair. Charlotte is top of the food chain.”
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that Charlotte isn’t likely to face repercussions for what transpired in the title exchange segment. The reason given is that if Charlotte is punished, then a few others would have to face the consequences as well.

It looks like WWE has yanked Charlotte Flair from a scheduled media appearance.
Charlotte has been the talk of the wrestling world and not for a good reason. She was involved in a title exchange segment with Becky Lynch on the Oct. 22 episode of SmackDown.
Things didn’t go according to plan, as Charlotte didn’t allow Becky to snatch the Raw Women’s Championship in what would’ve reportedly been a ‘tug of war’ spot.
“The Queen” was reportedly escorted out of the building, which gives you an idea about her current standing with the company.
Charlotte had been scheduled to make media rounds this week, but WWE has reportedly pulled those appearances.
Charlotte and Becky’s relationship has been strained for some time now. According to Alex McCarthy of talkSPORT, Charlotte hasn’t been chummy with Becky since a promo a couple of years back. In the promo, Becky called Charlotte, “plastic.”
SEScoops will keep you posted on the ongoing situation with Charlotte and WWE.
WWE had modified the title exchange segment involving Charlotte and Becky Lynch.
Much has been made about the title exchange that took place on the Oct. 22 episode of SmackDown. Charlotte was the Raw Women’s Champion, while Becky held the SmackDown Women’s Title. Since both competitors were drafted to the opposite brands, there was a title exchange.
Things Go Awry Between Charlotte & Becky Lynch
Things didn’t exactly go according to plan. Charlotte allowed the Raw Women’s Championship to drop to the mat but the script called for Becky to snatch the belt. Charlotte handed the title to authority figure Sonya Deville. Becky threw her SmackDown Women’s Championship at Charlotte, which was said to have been done differently than the script called for as well.
WWE Edits Title Exchange Segment
On the encore presentation of SmackDown, Charlotte dropping the Raw Women’s Championship was edited out. Becky Lynch throwing her title at Charlotte remained.

PWInsider reported that Charlotte had expressed concern over the segment making her and the Raw Women’s Championship look weak before the fiasco ensued. It was said that Charlotte and Becky had a shouting match backstage but didn’t get physical.
In a follow-up from PWInsider, it was reported that Charlotte was escorted out of the building by a WWE official. The reason for this is said to have been because Becky was staying in the building for a dark match and officials didn’t want things to escalate even further.
More details have come to light about the situation regarding the scuffle between Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch, suggesting that this wasn’t the first time people have had problems with Flair’s attitude.
According to Wade Keller of PWTorch, the Queen has ‘alienated’ her colleagues backstage with attitude issues. She has been ‘increasingly difficult to work with’ over the course of the year.
Charlotte has been isolating herself more and more behind the scenes. She is believed to be only interested in how she looks and said to scrutinize everything she is involved in through ‘a self-centered filter.’
On the other hand, Becky Lynch is liked among her colleagues and respected universally. The locker room sentiment is on her side. The Man is seen as a ‘hero’ for standing up to Flair after the awkward SmackDown segment.
There were people who were trying to give Flair the benefit of doubt despite a string of issues. Though crossing Becky is seen as the final straw for her. One wrestler said that “no other women want to work with her now.”
About the SmackDown incident, Charlotte denied dropping the title on purpose. This sounded preposterous enough for her to not only be asked to leave the building but also be escorted out of the arena.
Charlotte is the reigning Raw Women’s Champion but she’s now on her way to the blue brand. Fans were left confused when SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch wasn’t moved over to Monday Night Raw. Becky is still available to draft on the Oct. 4 edition of Raw.
Raj Giri of Wrestling Inc is reporting that FOX officials can be thanked for Charlotte being moved to the show. It’s been said that the movers and shakers over at FOX put in a request to have her moved to SmackDown.
Giri was not able to confirm whether or not Raw will get Becky. Regardless, the Raw Women’s Championship will make its way back to the brand one way or another.
It’s interesting to note that the ending of the Oct. 1 edition of SmackDown seemingly teased a feud between Charlotte and Becky. Of course, Becky could be drafted to Raw leading to a Survivor Series showdown between the two champions in November. Again, that is only speculation at this time.

A WWE producer has weighed in on the much-talked-about match between Charlotte and Nia Jax.
On the Aug. 30 edition of Monday Night Raw, Charlotte and Jax went one-on-one. Jax ended up getting the three-count but the match appeared to go off the rails. There was miscommunication in the ring and at some point, it looked as if both Charlotte and Jax were taking legit shots at each other before finally settling on the finish.
D-Von Dudley made an appearance on the “Table Talk” podcast and he addressed what went wrong.
“A lot of people suspect Nia and Charlotte got into it heavy. I even heard some reports that they were beating each other up in the back. Number one, they weren’t beating each other up in the back. Something happened in the ring, they handled it the way they handled it and they got over it. It’s as simple as that. They got over it.
“Were things done in the ring? I think it’s obvious. No dirtsheet writer can put me on blast and go, ‘Well, D-Von said…’ No, everybody saw what happened this past Monday. It got a little rough. It happens. It’s not the first time it happened, but of course, everyone is making a big deal out of it.”
D-Von went on to say that the one good thing that can come out of the incident is that more eyeballs will be on their next meeting. D-Von feels a well-built match can lead to good business for WWE.
Universal Champion Roman Reigns is the top dog in WWE. After years of fans rejecting him as the next face of the company, his current Tribal Chief persona has finally resonated.
WWE veteran Tamina recently spoke with ViBe & Wrestling and was asked who she feels is the ‘Roman Reigns’ of the Women’s Division.
She first said that if we’re talking only women of Polynesian culture, it’s gotta be her, not Nia Jax. “It’s not Nia for sure, definitely not Nia,” she joked.
Tamina then named Charlotte Flair as the Roman Reigns of the WWE women’s locker room. “I would say probably Charlotte at this point. She came back and she definitely got something on her head. She is coming back for something and definitely wants to prove who she is. She came out and put everybody on the spot and she addressed all the locker room, so I would have to say maybe Charlotte right now.”
Charlotte Flair is a logical pick. Both are second generation competitors who have racked up more world title accolades than you can count.
WWE has a deep women’s division that includes other prominent stars such as of Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, Bayley and Alexa Bliss.
Check out ViBe & Wrestling’s interview with Tamina:
WWE Superstar Charlotte Flair wants to have a big family one day. For now, she wants to focus on her career in the ring and eventually on the big screen.
Charlotte appeared on Better Together with Maria Menounos this week and talked about her plans to start a family with Andrade. He would be ready to have children soon, but she questions if it’s the right time. “I just, I don’t know, when’s the right time? Am I selling myself short not trying to reach for bigger things,” she asked.
“Of course, I think about it, because of my age. But, being able to face Trish Stratus at SummerSlam, and seeing her as a mother of two. And being consider the Greatest of All Time and have the best match on the show, makes me see, you don’t need to worry about when and why and where.”
She continued, “I definitely do [want kids]. I want the whole fairytale. I want three kids. Four Kids. I want all of it. It’s just, I don’t know how. This isn’t just it now, and then I go have kids! I really want to try to be an action figure in a movie, but I don’t know how to write it.”
Charlotte Flair Talks Hollywood Plans
Part of the reason Charlotte avoided appearing on reality shows like Total Divas is because she wanted to keep the door open for a serious career in Hollywood. The exposure would help Andrade build his brand, so maybe they will consider it in a few years.
When asked if she had a dream movie role in mind, Charlotte revealed she recently watched all of the Marvel movies in order and has a character she could see herself playing.
“I just finished all the Marvels in order! It took 3 weeks. After watching the last 22, if I was playing a bad guy, I’d love to be Thor’s sister, Hela, and have a whole film telling her story.”
Other topics discussed include regretting not getting into wrestling at a younger age, the most common misconception about her and more.
Watch & listen to Charlotte Flair on Better Together with Maria Menounos:
Charlotte Flair has embraced her father’s legacy and taken it to new heights in WWE. However, she recently revealed that there was a time when she wasn’t allowed to use the traits of her father, Ric Flair in the company.
The 10-times Women’s Champion recently had an interview with Metro.co.uk where among other things she talked about her father’s legacy in detail.
During the talk, she also recalled her early days in NXT and The former Women’s Champion revealed that she wasn’t allowed to use the things associated to her father when Charlotte first started in the company:
‘When I first started, I wasn’t allowed to “wooo”, do the
figure four, nothing was supposed to be associated with my dad. ‘And then at
NXT Takeover against Natalya [in 2014], I won the NXT women’s championship.
That day, I debuted my music which had his music in it, and I “woooed” for the first time. It just happened organically because my dad was at ringside, but that was never something I set out to do…”
Charlotte continued to explain that she didn’t want to continue the legacy but it just happened and she then asked how can you ignore the fact that your father is Ric Flair.
Apart from this, Charlotte Flair also talked about her childhood and mentioned how she was never raised to think that she couldn’t do anything a man could. You can check out her full interview at this link.
After a lot of rumors and speculation, Andrade and Charlotte revealed that they were dating around February.
Andrade revealed an interesting but amusing tidbit about the time when he started dating Charlotte, the daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair.
In an interview, Andrade revealed that he was nervous and scared of meeting his girlfriend’s father. But after meeting Flair Andrade is happy as they both seem to have a good relationship with each other.
“When we first met I was seriously so nervous – so, so nervous,” Andrade told Digital Spy. “Now I’m so happy. I love Ric Flair. He’s a great person with me, he talks, texts me, sometimes we have dinner. He’s great with me now.”
At first, Andrade wasn’t sure if him dating Charlotte would go too well with the Hall of Famer. He even asked Charlotte to keep their relationship under wraps, but Charlotte assured him that her father wouldn’t care.
“When we first started [dating] I asked Charlotte, ‘Please don’t say nothing to your dad’, and she said, ‘No it’s my dad, he won’t care’,” Andrade said.
“But I have so much respect for her dad and professional respect for what he did in this business, he’s a legend. I’m so happy.”
He was also asked if the duo would want to appear as an on-screen couple on WWE television. Andrade was open to the idea but said that for now they are focusing on their singles career. He suggested that they both could appear on the Mixed Match Challenge as a team a few years down the line.
“Now she is focusing on her career and I am focusing on my career,” Andrade said. “But in the future maybe we’ll be a Mixed Match Challenge team. I know it’s a great idea. Maybe not now, maybe in a year or two years.
The dark match before this week’s episode of SmackDown Live
went on air saw 2 young prospects of the blue roster going against each other
as Ali and Andrade competed in a one on one match.
This match was won by former 205 Live Star Ali. He countered
Andrade’s attempt of a Hammerlock DDT and then rolled the former NXT Champion
with a small package for the win.
Both Ali and Andrade have been part of the main roster of WWE for a while now but except for some small feuds, they haven’t been involved in any long term rivalry yet.
Charlotte Comments on SummerSlam Performance
Charlotte Flair defeated Trish Stratus in a singles match at
SummerSlam and then we saw her picking another victory over Ember Moon on this
week’s episode of SmackDown Live.
After the Blue Branded Show got over, the former Women’s
Champion was interviewed backstage and asked if she felt humbled by the fact
that both these women took her to her absolute limit.
Replying to it, Flair said that she defeated both the past and present in these two matches and claimed that she doesn’t feel humbled by either of them:
This week’s episode of SmackDown saw a shocking title change as Charlotte Flair defeated Asuka to become an 8 time Women’s Champion in WWE.
After the show, both Charlotte and the former Champion Asuka, as well as ‘The Man’ Becky Lynch reacted to this surprising turn of event in their own way.
The Japanese star was the first to react, and commenting on the end of her short reign with the Blue Brand’s title, the former NXT Champion simply wrote ‘over’:
For Becky Lynch, this was another opportunity to take some shots at her arch rival, and she pointed out how Flair did nothing to earn this title opportunity in the following tweet:
Finally, the new champion herself posted a photo of her with the Women’s title and she also praised Asuka for being the most talented women she has shared a ring with:
Charlotte was also interviewed backstage by Kayla Braxton
where the SmackDown Star talked about her surprising victory during the show.
She took her own shot at Lynch saying that the one talking the loudest is also the one who will be walking into WrestleMania without a title:
There are speculations about WWE unifying both the Women’s
Championships after this week’s SmackDown but nothing has been confirmed so
far. We’ll keep you posted if any such news comes.

Kurt Angle’s WrestleMania Opponent
WWE legend Kurt Angle will wrestle his retirement match in less than three weeks at WrestleMania. Angle will announce his Mania opponent tonight on Raw.
WWE has been asking fans who they want to see Angle wrestle in his final match. On this graphic posted to WWE’s social media channels, possible opponents include Bobby Lashley, Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre, John Cena, Samoa Joe and Shelton Benjamin.
As he did last week on Raw when he attacked Seth Rollins, Shelton Benjamin is seizing opportunity once again. The former Team Angle member volunteered to face his former ‘team captain’ on April 7th.
Kurt Angle says he’s ‘game’ to face Benjamin, but we’ll get the final word from the man himself tonight.
Finally, Charlotte Flair continues to fuel speculation that she is dating Andrade. Over the weekend, the queen of SmackDown Live posted a photo wearing a Los Ingobernables hat.
Andrade is a former member of the heel faction. Its members now include Tetsuya Naito (NJPW), Rush (ROH), El Terrible (CMLL) and La Bestia del Ring (CMLL).
WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross sees Charlotte Flair as a modern day Hulk Hogan and the lynchpin of WWE’s Women’s division.
On the latest episode of the Jim Ross Report podcast, JR analyzed Charlotte’s promo from this week’s SmackDown Live. In doing so, he raved about how far she’s come and compares Charlotte to one of WWE’s biggest stars of all time.
“She’s the female version of what Hulk Hogan was to the WWE in the 80s,” Ross says. “She’s that strong. She’s that over, that big, that impressive.”
Ross goes on to say that just as Flair has been a building block in the women’s division, she could play just as big a role in the company as a whole.
“You can build around her. You can build a brand around her. I’ve said this before, and people got pissed off,” he says. “They said I screwed her dad.”
Ross was a big fan of Charlotte’s mic work, and her overall presentation on Smackdown.
“Charlotte had a great promo, in the sense that she looked regal,” says Ross. “She looked majestic. From her attire, to her shoes, all the way to her hair. She looked like I am the woman in this company. She’s a hell of a talent. She’s statuesque.”
He added, “She did really well. She looked strong. She looked like a top star, as she is.”
SmakDown Live stars Andrade and Charlotte Flair are rumored to be WWE’s newest romantic power couple.
Over the past week, there has been speculation that the former NXT Champion and the former NXT Women’s Champion are currently dating. There have been reports of them spotted traveling together, with reporter Sean Ross Sapp tweeting (then deleting) that they have been seeing each other since “at least last month.”
Andrade and Charlotte have been bombarded with fans on Twitter inquiring about the legitimacy of the scuttlebutt. Charlotte gave the following coy comment on Wednesday:
Charlotte Flair has some high praises for Ronda Rousey. She recently spoke with ComicBook.com and talked about Rousey’s transition from UFC to WWE.
Charlotte said that Rousey has avoided a mistake that is a hurdle for most beginners in the WWE.
“Well, they’re just thinking about the moves and not the meaning behind them. Watching her, she looks like she’s been doing this for years. And that’s very hard to do. It looks effortless. It’s one thing to be an athlete, but it’s another to, just because you’re an athlete doesn’t mean you’re going to be a good WWE Superstar,” Flair told ComicBook.
Charlotte also praised whoever is teaching Rousey and said that they are doing a phenomenal job in teaching her the moves of the squared circle.
“Who’s ever talking to her or teaching her is doing such a phenomenal job, because the whole goal is to make it look like you’re not thinking. There’s not a second that you think she’s thinking,” said Flair.
Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey are set to go against each other at the Survivor Series pay-per-view event this Sunday.
WWE Hall Of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin recently took to his podcast, The Steve Austin Show, to comment on several professional wrestling topics.
Austin commented on the current feud between Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch on SmackDown Live. Lynch turned heel at SummerSlam, attacking Flair after she defeated her for the SDL Women’s Title.
Despite the heel turn, WWE fans are still cheering Lynch and sometimes booing Flair. After seeing the fans’ reactions, WWE seems to be changing their course and not presenting Lynch as an all-out heel.
In Austin’s point of view, he thinks Lynch should be whatever the people want her to be:
“I loved [Ric] Flair as a heel. He’s the greatest [pro] wrestler of all time, but his heel work was outstanding. His baby work, eh, he’s still Ric Flair, but I like Ric Flair as a heel. Charlotte I like as a heel.
“Becky I like either way. But, man, when she knocked the hell out of Charlotte, that crowd came unglued when they turned her heel, but it was the biggest babyface reaction of the night. People came unglued, so where does she go?
“I just think let her be whatever the people want her to be. To me, for her, she doesn’t need to be a heel or a baby – she just needs to be Becky Lynch.
“And this is truly one of those cases where they say, Roman Reigns, no matter how the people want to take him, they can take him as a heel or baby, but he’s just going to be Roman.
“To me, I just think let’s take that out of the equation. Whatever they’re going to do with him, they’re going to do, with him beating Brock [Lesnar], but Becky ought to just be Becky because there’s money in Becky being Becky.
“Let the people decide. As long as she’s being true to herself, she’s going to fly as high and as far as they want her to.”
