Some of the biggest names in wrestling will be part of Chris Jericho’s ‘Six on the Beach’ Cruise which will set sail in January 2025. The ‘Six on the Beach’ cruise will take guests from Miami to Puerto Plata, DR from January 31 to February 4. Only a select few cabins remain and can be purchased from ChrisJerichoCruise.com.
Wrestling Guests
Like previous years, the cruise will feature some huge names from the world of wrestling. This year’s cruise will see three guests of honor: Scott Steiner, Jushin Thunder Liger, and Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler. The trio of WWE Hall of Famers will be joined by names including Bull Nakano, Al Snow, Koko B. Ware, Juventud Guerrera, and many more stars of yesterday and today. New TNA World ChampionNic Nemeth will serve as the cruise’s guest host while Ash By Elegance will be the guest cruise director.
AEW In Action
Guests will also get to see some of All Elite Wrestling’s finest compete as part of the four-night cruise. AEW first hosted events on Jericho’s first cruise in October 2018 and matches from the 2020 cruise were broadcast on the January 22, episode of AEW Dynamite.
Music, Comedy, and More
If wrestling isn’t for you, despite being on a cruise ran by a wrestling legend, then there will be other activities on next year’s voyage. Comedy shows will be posted by Anya Zova, Jay Washington, and AEW’s RJ City. For music fans, there will be performances by Fozzy, Great White, Downstait and many more bands. Live editions of the Talk is Jericho and Paranormal 60 podcast, will also take place.
Chris Jericho’s name captures attention whenever he makes a headline. In recent memory, some stories have come out about Chris Jericho that he may have wished stayed under the rug. This is likely one of those times he wishes an NDA was signed.
Chris Jericho Was Allegedly KO’ed On His Own Cruise Ship
Brian Last shared a tale during an episode of the Cornette’s Drive Thru podcast, recounting an incident where Jericho was knocked out on his own cruise. Sadly, he couldn’t go into a ton of details at the time, but Last promised listeners that he had a great story to tell.
“Man, there is a story I would love to tell, but i didn’t get permission, but him getting knocked out on his own cruise ship by someone he mouthed off to. It’s the most incredible f*cking story, but I can’t talk about that today.“
Now, we have a lot more information about what happened, including who allegedly knocked Chris Jericho out.
Chris Jericho leads a rock star lifestyle, and it’s not just a gimmick. It appears that, according to Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net, it was MVP who put Chris Jericho down for the count on his own cruise in 2020.
The incident took place during Chris Jericho’s Rock N’ Wrestling Rager At Sea – Part Deux: Second Wave, back in January 2020. During the cruise there was an altercation between Jericho and former WWE US and Tag Champion MVP, where heated words were exchanged that resulted in MVP knocking out Chris Jericho.
Another incident was reportedly confirmed by sources a year or two after the cruise. This time, the situation unfolded in a hotel lobby. During a heated exchange, Jericho quickly headed to the elevator, closing the door with a remark, “I don’t fight jobbers.”
The story that was told to me was that the two once again engaged in a heated exchange, which lead to Jericho “hurrying to the elevator, and as the door closed saying “I don’t fight jobbers.””
Nick Hausman stated on his Rumor and Innuendo podcast that Jericho, who spoke out against NDAs regarding the Brawl Out fiasco, may have skeletons in his own closet.
“There are issues with Chris behind the scenes, where I know a lot of people who were hurt by Chris and his actions. You know, it’s very uncomfortable to me to see him lauded like he is and only having the focus on that, because I do think there are a lot of questionable stories about Chris that will find their way out over time when people are ready to tell those stories, that will cast him in a very different light.”
“I mean, Harvey Weinstein won a lot of Oscars, Harvey Weinstein produced a lot of very popular films. Harvey Weinstein is now in jail … I’m not saying that is happening to Chris, but the narrative can quickly turn if you’re hiding a lot of skeletons in your closet.
Nick Hausman compared Chris Jericho to Harvey Weinstein
Later on, an online allegation surfaced about Jericho’s conduct with Kylie Rae. This behavior allegedly led to her requesting a release from AEW. Rae reacted to that accusatory post with a heart emoji.
Following the spread of the Nick Hausman clip, an X account revisited an overlooked tweet from an earlier time. The resurfaced tweet suggested a potential connection between Kylie Rae’s departure from AEW and Chris Jericho.
“So here’s the deal, you don’t quit the hottest fed going today (AEW) without reason. I have it from people in the know that Kylie was asked to go to Chris Jericho’s room. With the understanding that others would be there. When she got there it was just him. He made a pass at her (no other details are given) and she freaked out.”
Chris Jericho’s Future in AEW
Despite these allegations about Chris Jericho, he is still featured on AEW programming. He wrestled at Worlds End, although “NDA” and “Kylie Rae” chants were audible during the pay-per-view.
To remedy any chance of negative fan chants during the January 10th AEW Dynamite Homecoming episode in Daily’s Place, they let Fozzy’s “Judas” song play for the entire time Jericho was on camera.
Jericho and Sammy Guevara are set to battle Big Bill and Ricky Starks for the AEW World Tag Team Titles at AEW Battle of the Belts on January 13th.
UPDATE: MVP Responds
MVP has posted on X in response to this story about him knocking out Chris Jericho surfaced. He did not deny a single thing, as he only asked fans if they heard any good rumors lately.
Some additions and removals have been made to Chris Jericho’s Rock N’ Rager at Sea Cruise.
We’re just under a month away from the return of Jericho’s cruise. Some big names have already been announced such as Kurt Angle and Will Ospreay. The additions keep on rolling, but there have also been two omissions.
Here is the latest update on the cruise courtesy of Sixthman.
“We’re happy to announce these awesome AEW wrestlers joining the Triple Whammy! Welcome Wardlow, Rebel, Sonny Kiss, Chaos Project, and Ashley D’Amboise to Chris Jericho’s Rock ‘N’ Wrestling Rager at Sea!
“Kick Axe and Sitting Ringside with Dave Penzer are no longer able to join us on Triple Whammy, however we hope to welcome them aboard in the future.”
Jericho’s cruise is set to begin on Oct. 21. It’ll run through Oct. 25. Jericho says he’s been working with AEW head honcho Tony Khan in putting together talent for the event. AEW Women’s World Champion Britt Baker, Orange Cassidy, Lance Archer, Powerhouse Hobbs, Ricky Starks, Kris Statlander, Jamie Hayter, and more AEW wrestlers are set to compete.
Stick with SEScoops for more changes including additions or removals that could be in store for the Rock N’ Rager at Sea Cruise.
Will Ospreay has been added to Chris Jericho’s upcoming Rock N’ Rager cruise but don’t expect him to wrestle.
Ospreay has taken the wrestling world by storm over the years. He has gone from a high-flying junior-heavyweight to a heavyweight main eventer. Ospreay is the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion. In storyline, he has taken issue with NJPW brass for stripping him of the gold due to injury.
Here’s the press release hyping up Ospreay’s appearance on Jericho’s cruise.
“The hotshot Assasin is currently signed with New Japan Pro Wrestling and holds their former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion title, and he’s also the reigning British Heavyweight Champion of Revolution Pro Wrestling in addition to many other impressive career feats.
“While Will won’t be wrestling on board, he will be making special appearances throughout the cruise!
In addition to this HUGE lineup announcement, we’re also excited to share that the legendary Madusa will be taking on the role of Guest Cruise Director and Bully Ray is joining Brad Williams to tag-team as Guest Hosts! With the fate of the Triple Whammy’s activities in these hands, you don’t want to miss out on the best experience of your life!”
As mentioned in the press release, Bully Ray will be serving as a guest host on the cruise. Medusa is the Guest Cruise Director. Kurt Angle is set to be the Guest of Honor. AEW talent such as Britt Baker, Orange Cassidy, Lance Archer, and more will also be featured on the cruise.
Chris Jericho’s Rock N Rager at Sea is still scheduled to set sail in 2021. Jericho gave a big update yesterday on the cruise that is currently scheduled to happen on February 1st to 5th, 2021.
The cruise is now advertising 4 days of wrestling matches, 3 Fozzy concerts, an event titled “Family Feud with Chris Jericho,” autograph sessions, live podcasts and more. Jim Duggan, Ted Dibiase, Bully Ray, and more are already confirmed for the event.
Those who have sailed on the cruise before can prebook now. First-time cruise-goers can sign up for presale here.
Last year’s cruise featured the taping of an episode of AEW Dynamite branded “Bash at the Beach.” The promotion stated after last year’s event that they would air Dynamite live from the cruise in 2021.
“We recognize we’re in the midst of uncertain times right now – times that call for extra flexibility, special value, and an absolute assurance that your health and safety are being closely looked after,” reads ChrisJerichoCruise.com.
Several new protocols will be coming to the cruise industry following the resumption of their businesses. The cruise line Jericho uses for the Rock N Rager at Sea has already stated they will no longer be greeting guests with high-fives.
“We expect new protocols to continue changing and the planning for your event will continue evolving right alongside them. One measure we’ll implement right away is saying goodbye to our beloved welcome high-fives. However, you can still count on a friendly Sixthman face upon your arrival to greet you and welcome you to the party!”
More information about health protocols for the cruise can be found here.
While the taped episode of AEW Dynamite from this year’s Jericho Cruise is yet to air, it appears that the company is already planning ahead and they are preparing to amp things up next year by broadcasting a live show from the ship.
According to reports from Heel By Nature, Cody Rhodes took on a mic after this week’s Dynamite tapings. He announced that AEW will have more involvement in next year’s Cruise and the February 2, 2021 episode of Dynamite will air live from the vessel.
Next year’s version of the Chris Jericho’s Rock ‘N’
Wrestling Rager at Sea has already been announced and the AEW World Champion
recently confirmed that the 2021 edition of his cruise will set sail on
February 1st next year.
Though it won’t be an easy task to broadcast a full episode of
Dynamite from the ship live and the company will need a lot more preparations
for the same.
This year, the company pre-taped matches for the episode airing tonight. They have recorded the show on two separate master tapes and plans call for them to fly both tapes on separate charter flights to Atlanta to ensure the broadcast.
Airing the full episode live from the cruise itself will not only mean that the company will have to bring even more equipment and crew on board but they will also have to prepare for things like weather.
So it will be interesting to know what preparations the officials do for ensuring an uninterrupted broadcast of the show.
A lot has been said and speculated about the current status’ of Elite members, The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, Cody, Marty Scurll, and Adam Page in relation to the Bullet Club.
More fuel was added to the fire earlier in the month as the collective released new t-shirts that they claimed would be their “final Bullet Club style” merchandise. Cody also took to Twitter and plainly stated that he was “100% not in the Bullet Club.”
Whilst on the Jericho Cruise, Chris Jericho scheduled a recording of his popular podcast, Talk Is Jericho with the entirety of the Elite group.
Matt Jackson touched on a number of subjects during the course of the conversation, including the origins of the YouTube hit series, Being The Elite, and how the show has evolved and changed since it started. He also confirmed that the group were now officially “The Elite,” and that they are no longer a part of the Bullet Club in any capacity.
He would go on to address the gradual separation that led to the split between Bullet Club and the Elite over the years, highlighting that it’s “not like I’m going to make this crazy announcement because it just feels natural, right?”
He went on to clarify his point, saying, “I think everyone on the ship can agree, it’s not just Kenny, me, and Nick as The Elite. We’re all elite. So, from this very day forward, why don’t we just call all of us The Elite?”
Bullet Club Is Fine
On the other side of the split, Tama Tonga took to Twitter in order to solidify the Bullet Club’s unity since attacking the Elite at NJPW’s G1 Special in San Francisco.
So there you go, we now have official confirmation: the feud between the two factions is not a reignited Bullet Club civil war, and the Elite has branched off into their own, separate unit away from BC.
What do you make of this announcment? What do you see the two factions accomplishing going forward?
Nakamura and Tanahashi have faced each other a number of times before in New Japan Pro Wrestling, and were considered the top rivals in the company.
Both of them have main evented Wrestle Kingdom, in 2008 and 2014 for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship and Intercontinental Championship respectively.
Another Match Added To Chris Jericho’s Cruise
Ring of Honor Wrestling has announced that their Sea of Honor Tournament on Chris Jericho’s upcoming Rock ‘N’ Wrestling Rager cruise will feature another match. “Hangman” Adam Page will go against Kazarian in singles action:
Fans of Chikara won’t be surprised to hear Dalton Castle has been named the new “Cruise Director” for “Chris Jericho’s Rock N Wrestling Rager” in October. Castle formerly adopted the gimmick of a yacht sailing enthusiast, Ashley Remington, for the rather bizarre promotion.
As the current Ring of Honor champion, Castle may have to defend his championship against the winner of the Sea of Honor tournament scheduled to take place on the cruise. This is assuming Castle is still champion by then, however.
Castle was booked for the cruise back in November but news of his promotion to “Cruise Director” was just announced recently:
Jericho has said he was inspired by attending a similar cruise for fans of the band Kiss. He has also said he will serve as the “Master of Ceremonies” for the event and Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler will be the official hosts.
Ring of Honor’s tournament will be a featured part of the cruise. ROH and other wrestlers such as the Young Bucks and Cody have been confirmed. Other guests include Mick Foley, DDP, Rey Mysterio, Raven, and SoCal Val are also expected to be in attendance.
Several bands, comedy acts, and live podcasts are also scheduled to take place.
The cruise will sail from Miami to the Bahamas and prices range from $749 to $8,381.
