— Matt Hardy vs. Rob Van Dam has been added to this Sunday’s Against All Odds pay-per-view card. The bout will be a rematch from Genesis, which Hardy won.

— Christy Hemme has been announced for WrestleReunion’s signing event on Sunday, April 2 at the Downtown Marriott in Atlanta, Georgia. Fellow TNA Knockout Winter will also be on hand for the event.

— River of Darkness, which stars Kurt Angle, as well as Kevin Nash and Sid Vicious as undead giants, will be released on DVD by Green Apple Entertainment on March 29.

— Sarita has signed a two-year contract extension with TNA Wrestling.

The Canadian women’s wrestler has been featured more prominently on TNA Wrestling programming in recent months, scoring victories over many of her peers in the Knockouts Division including Angelina Love, Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky. She recently, albeit unofficially, aligned herself with TNA Women’s Knockouts Champion Madison Rayne and Tara while becoming embroiled in a heated feud with Velvet Sky.

Sarita, who’s real name is Sarah Stock, initially signed a contract with TNA Wrestling in 2009 and vignettes hyping her debut began airing in June of that year. Success came early as alongside Taylor Wilde, the duo became the inaugural Knockout Tag Team Champions in September. The tandem dropped the belts on the January 4, 2010 edition of iMPACT! and were scarcely featured in the ensuing months. Sarita turned heel on Wilde in June and subsequently received a push of sorts on Xplosion. She resurfaced on iMPACT! in October and has since accumulated a number of wins.

Sarita also competes for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) in Mexico, under the ring name Dark Angel.

— Current creative plans call for the former Brother Ray to get a ‘long singles run’ as Bully Ray, a character he always wanted to portray. His former tag team partner, Devon, will also continued to be used as a singles wrestler.

— Christy Hemme has opened a new account on Twitter. She says she lost the password to her first one.

— In an update on Daffney’s status with TNA Wrestling, she is being kept out of the ring due to post-concussion issues incurred during a dark match with Miss Betsy (a/k/a Rosie Lottalove) in April. She was hospitalized following the bout and diagnosed with a deeply bruised sternum, a severe stinger, and a concussion. She last competed on June 14 for an Xplosion taping.

— TNA Wrestling backstage announcer Christy Hemme celebrated her thirtieth birthday yesterday. She largely appears on the international program Xplosion these days.

— WWE Hall of Famer Harley Race was on hand for yesterday’s TNA Wrestling live event in Sedalia, Missouri. The organization posted a photo of Race with fellow former NWA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarrett on its Facebook page.

— Lisa Marie Varon (a/k/a Tara; formerly known as Victoria in WWE) is expected to speak with WWE officials regarding a potential return to the company now that her contract with TNA has expired. — According to a recent issue of WWE Magazine, there were tentative plans for WWE to release every single episode of Monday Night Raw from 1993 on DVD. — Former WWE Divas Lisa Marie Varon, Lilian Garcia and Christy Hemme have been added to Wizard World’s Chicago Comic Con taking place August 20-22 at the Donald E. — It was announced yesterday on TNA Today that backstage announcer Christy Hemme is getting married this weekend in Hawaii. Hemme and her beau, Charley Patterson, got engaged last December.

— TNA’s next road pay-per-view is expected to take place in October for Bound for Glory. Company officials view Bound for Glory as its biggest show of the year, and thus it will be an exception to the rule as far as holding televised shows outside Orlando. — As reported earlier, Christy Hemme has re-signed with TNA Wrestling. Regarding specifics of her contract, the official website of The Honky Tonk Man is reporting that Hemme inked a three-year deal with TNA worth $175,000 per year. The website also notes that Hemme’s new contract has left some of her fellow female co-workers noticeably upset.

Hemme’s deal is being compared to Awesome Kong’s as the recently released Knockout was receiving $400 per appearance from TNA. Reportedly, Kong’s inability to attain a slight raise in salary was her main point of contention with TNA, which led to her ultimately departing from the organization.

— Jeff Hardy will be working his first independent wrestling show since his departure from World Wrestling Entertainment as he is advertised to appear at a Northeast Wrestling event taking place in Newburgh, New York on Saturday, Apr. 23. He will be teaming with Shannon Moore as they take on Rob Eckos and Brian Anthony. Velvet Sky is also advertised to face former TNA performer Roxxi. – TNA President Dixie Carter announced on her Twitter account that Christy Hemme and Brian Kendrick have signed new multi-year contracts with the organization. She wrote, “LOVE Christy in her new role & excited to see what Brian brings to X Div.”

– To clarify, the previously announced Leather & Lace Match between Angelina Love and Velvet Sky taking place on next week’s iMPACT! will not be for Love’s Knockouts Championship.
