Eric Bischoff Fires Back At Tony Khan Celebrating His Podcast Ending

The feud between Tony Khan and Eric Bischoff continues and it doesn’t appear to be going away despite one of Bischoff’s podcasts coming to an end.

Eric Bischoff didn’t have one, but two podcasts on AdFreeShows and co-host Jon Alba last night announced that “Strictly Business” would be coming to an end after a successful two-year run.

AEW President Tony Khan has had a contentious relationship with Bischoff ever since Khan made remarks about former WCW Founder, Ted Turner. Bischoff took exception to that, but also remained outspoken about the on-air AEW product. The two’s relationship has been fractured ever since despite Bischoff making several appearances on AEW television early on.

Once Alba made the announcement, Tony Khan replied, stating:

“Sunsetting this fraud of a business podcast before the next AEW media deal is a wise choice.”

Eric Bischoff Fires Back At Tony Khan

“Strictly Business” may be ending, but as Jon Alba stated, Eric Bischoff has a lot on his plate when it comes to further work, including his original podcast with Conrad Thompson, “83 Weeks.” Thompson took to social media to provide clarity that “Strictly Business” is going away, but not “83 Weeks.”

“Don’t get it twisted: ’83 Weeks’ with Eric Bischoff is not “sunsetting.” See y’all Monday. After waking up to Twitter this morning, I wonder, as a friend of mine might say, ‘what do you guys wanna talk about?'”

Bischoff also had some words for Tony Khan, also including a video of a tarped off Videotron Centre in Quebec City during ROH tapings ahead of AEW Dynamite.

“A money mark with no talent other than spending daddy’s money, going all the way to Canada to draw less than 4k in one of the hottest pro wrestling markets in North America, talking about ‘wise choices’? Strap in. It’s going to be a fun day!”

Mick Foley’s ‘Foley Is Pod’ podcast is ending

Mick Foley has always been an amazing storyteller, but he’s making the decision to close a chapter in his post-wrestling career.

On this week’s episode of “Foley Is Pod”  Foley and co-host Conrad Thompson revealed that they’d be ending the series after they complete one final episode with “Mick-A-Mania.” The two plan to finish off the series strong. “I can’t wait. I had such a great time,” added Foley when the announcement was made.

“Foley Is Pod” first started up in 2021 and he along with Thompson and producers Dave Silva and Kris MacDonald, did a video format for the show. Initially, the duo actually joined each other in person to record episodes that featured a fresh new format for recording wrestling podcasts.

The latest episode of the show has Foley covering his on-air relationship with The Rock, but the two have covered all facets of Foley’s career since he started the show including his time in ECW and WCW. They also did a very special episode after the legendary Terry Funk passed away in August.

Before Foley signed off to celebrate his Christmas holiday, he said that he and Conrad plan to pack a punch with the final episode.

“Tell your friends to tune into the last episode. We’re gonna try to make it something special. It’s been a great experience.”

Since its launch, “Foley Is Pod” has been a major player of the AdFreeShows.com podcast network. AdFreeShows.com hosts “Something To Wrestle With Bruce Prichard,” “83 Weeks With Eric Bischoff,” “My World With Jeff Jarrett,” “The Snake Pit With Jake Roberts” and more.

Conrad Thompson Reveals If He Thinks Tony Khan Would Buy WWE

With rumors running rampant about a WWE sale, Conrad Thompson has chimed in on whether or not he believes AEW’s Tony Khan could put in a winning bid.

Thompson recently took to his podcast with Eric Bischoff, “83 Weeks,” to discuss the ongoing rumors about a potential WWE sale. The longtime professional wrestling podcaster noted he has received calls from multiple people asking if he thinks Khan could purchase WWE.

While Thompson believes that Khan certainly has the ability to purchase WWE, he’s not sure it would make much sense for him to do so.

“I got two phone calls last week from different people who, well, they’re names in the wrestling community,” Conrad Thompson said. “‘Would Tony Khan have the capacity to buy WWE?’ And, I think the answer is, yes, he has the capacity.

“There is no question that he would be able to put together a deal. But, I would just, I would put the odds of that being near zero. Like what would be, I don’t know why Tony Khan would do that. I don’t see the upside of Tony Khan doing that.

“How much of your 11 billion dollars of your net worth — depending on how much of it is even liquid — are you willing to put on WWE? … You’ve got the Jags, you’ve got a football team in England, you’ve got AEW, I don’t know what other businesses they’re in, but do you really, really want to do that?”

Vince McMahon WWE HQ

Recently, Vince McMahon returned to WWE’s board of directors to reportedly help facilitate a trade. Frontrunners have emerged for the purchasing; with names like Amazon, FOX, and Comcast leading the way.

There was a brief rumor that the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund secured and finalized a deal to purchase WWE, however, that report was later proven false as no deal has been completed as of this writing.

Despite this, the Saudi investment fund still remains a very real contender to purchase the professional wrestling juggernaut.

Conrad Thompson Tried Getting DDP To Do a ‘Last Match’

It appears as though Conrad Thompson also tried getting WWE Hall of Famer Diamond Dallas Page to do a Last Match.

Recently, two-time WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair headlined a Last Match event in which the main event was headlined by the last match of his career. Flair teamed up with Andrade El Idolo to defeat Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett.

The event was promoted by Conrad Thompson and Jim Crockett Promotions at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium. Since, Thompson has teased doing more events allowing legends to have their “Last Match.”

On a recent episode of his podcast, “DDP Snake Pit,” Diamond Dallas Page revealed that Thompson suggested that he take part in a Last Match. However, it doesn’t seem to be something DDP is interested in.

“It’s nothing I’ll ever do,” DDP said. “Conrad was like ‘You know DDP, you’d be perfect to do one of these,’ I was like ‘Nah bro, I’m good. I had my last match, it’s never going to be better than that.’ I was lucky enough to have all my boys around me and it was fun. I’m good with that.”

Page did get to do a match two years ago in All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where he teamed up with Dustin Rhodes and QT Marshall against MJF and The Butcher and Blade.

DDP was also at Flair’s Last Match event, where he hit Matt Cardona with a Diamond Cutter, which got quite the reaction from the crowd. He was one of several professional wrestling legends at the show; including The Undertaker, Bret Hart, and Mick Foley.

Conrad Thompson Tried Talking Ric Flair Out Of Fake Heart Attack Spot In Last Match

Conrad Thompson tried to talk his father-in-law Ric Flair out of the fake heart attack spot in his Last Match.

Flair recently took part in what was said the be the final professional wrestling match of his career. He teamed up with his son-in-law and All Elite Wrestling (AEW) star Andrade El Idolo against the team of Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett.

During the match, Flair actually had a spot where he faked he was having a heart attack, and when Lethal looked concerned, he poked him in the eye.

In a recent episode of Jeff Jarrett’s podcast, “My World,” which Conrad co-hosts, Conrad revealed he tried to talk Flair out of the spot.

“The only thing you and I pushed back on, and we pushed back the first time we heard it and the second time, and the third time. ‘Do not fake the heart deal,” Conrad Thompson said. “Do not. Please.’ The afternoon of, he goes, ‘Guys, guys, it’s my last match.

“I’m not saying I’m going to do it, but if they are with it and I feel I have the crowd, I’m going to do it. Jay is going to have a little sympathy and I’ll poke him in the eyes.’ When it didn’t happen in the ring, at first I thought, ‘We made it, he’s not going to do it.’

“He did it on the floor. I didn’t look at you, but I know somewhere, you were looking at me like, ‘Why is he doing this?’ I saw great feedback from that, people dug it. Who are we, especially me, it’s his last match. He gets to pick.“

Ric Flair And Conrad Thompson

There was a lot of concern about the 73-year-old Flair competing in the matchup in the first place. Flair admittedly was dealing with injuries heading into the bout, but wanted to put on one final show in front of the Nashville crowd.

The two-time WWE Hall Of Famer and Andrade emerged from the bout victorious when it was all said and done. He even made an appearance at The World Wrestling Council’s 49th Anniversary Show in Puerto Rico shortly thereafter, serving as a manager for Andrade.

Flair also got physical during the appearance, taking a few punches and a headbutt from Carlos Colon. He revealed he was offered to wrestle for the promotion, but declined.

Conrad Thompson: Ric Flair’s Last Match PPV “Part of a Bigger Master Plan”

Conrad Thompson has opened up on everything coming together for Ric Flair’s Last Match event on July 31.

Flair teamed with Andrade El Idolo vs. Jeff Jarrett & Jay Lethal in the main event that marked the first time Flair wrestled in 11 years. Flair went over when he tapped out Jarrett with the figure four in the bout.

During the latest “My World” podcast, Thompson noted that he changed his mind about doing a wrestling event after talking about it a year ago. He also teased that the real story coming out of this show will be told one day, but it’s part of something bigger.

“The real story that we’re not talking about, we will tell you one day, but this is part of a bigger master plan.”

– Conrad Thompson on Ric Flair’s Last Match

The Master Plan

“You (Jeff Jarrett) and I talked about this over a year ago,” said Thompson. “I said, ‘No, I’m not doing wrestling. I’m not promoting wrestling. I’m not negotiating. I don’t want to be involved in politics. I like my lane.’ But this opportunity presented itself.

The real story that we’re not talking about, we will tell you one day, but this is part of a bigger master plan. No, it does not involve Ric Flair wrestling again, but the entrepreneur’s brain kicked off, and I saw an opportunity for Sunday, and I said, ‘If I don’t do it, I’ll wonder, what if? so let’s do it.’ We rolled the dice, and I couldn’t be more tickled with the results.”

Early estimates show the event did between 20,000 and 25,000 streaming PPV buys and nearly 4200 more through linear PPV, according to the Wrestling Observer.

The show drew approximately 6,800 fans for a $448,502 gate.

Conrad Thompson Responds to Concerns About Ric Flair’s In-Ring Return

Conrad Thompson has responded to those who are concerned with his father-in-law, Ric Flair, wrestling again one last time.

Thompson took to one of the many podcasts he co-hosts, My World With Jeff Jarrett, to address the issue. He asks if the people who are concerned with Flair wrestling again are the same ones who were calling for The Undertaker to have one more match.

“The Nature Boy is going to walk that aisle one last time. I know there’s been some pushback and people who were all of a sudden are very concerned about Ric Flair’s well being.

“I wonder if those are the same folks who are clamoring for Undertaker to have one more match, or what they felt about Vince McMahon wrestling at WrestleMania, or Jerry Lawler wrestling every other weekend.

“It’s not uncommon in Tennessee for these Tennessee boys to strut around, and by the way, Tennessee is the birthplace of Ric Flair. How fun is it that it’s come full circle with Jim Crockett promotions and him and one more match?

“Let me just say that I’m smarter than I look. We got some fun ideas for the show and I think some naysayers are going to come around and they’re going to like this idea.”

The 73-year-old Flair is expected to share the ring with longtime on-screen rival Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat.

Early reports suggest, however, that it won’t be a singles match. The current plan is to have Flair and FTR team up against Rock N’ Roll Express and “someone else.”

The match is being promoted under “Jim Crockett” promotions and will be produced by Thuzio, a Triller Company. Everything is currently set for July 31 at the Starrcast event in Nashville, Tennessee.

Should Steamboat actually step in for the match, it will be his first since a 2010 FCW tag team match with his son against Caylen Croft & Trent Baretta. Flair and Steamboat haven’t wrestled each other since 1994.

Jon Moxley No Longer Appearing At Starrcast III

Conrad Thompson has revealed on Twitter that All Elite Wrestling’s Jon Moxley will unfortunately no longer be attending Starrcast.

Thompson cited the same elbow infection that forced Moxley to pull out of his highly-anticipated grudge match at All Out.

As soon as Moxley found out, he apparently contacted Conrad to inform him of the situation, telling them he was sorry.

“We received word today that unfortunately @JonMoxley won’t be able to travel to @StarrcastEvents. Once he got the word from his doctor he told us, “I’m sorry, this sucks.” I’m sure we all echo those sentiments. We wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him soon.

He followed it up with another tweet, regarding those who had purchased Meet and Greet opportunities to meet Moxley:

“Everyone who purchased his meet and greet has been notified via email. Refunds will begin being processed tomorrow. His stage show has been cancelled and a new schedule will be released tomorrow.”

Despite this bad luck, Starrcast will still feature an all-star lineup.

Notably, former WWE Superstar CM Punk will be in attendance for an on-stage interview. Other wrestlers have speculated that Punk’s involvement with this massive pro wrestling event may be a step towards a return to the squared circle.

Starrcast III takes place between August 29-September 1st from the Hyatt Regency Chicago in Schaumburg, Illinois.

Conrad Thompson Comments On CM Punk at Starrcast III

CM Punk will take part in an on-stage interview at Starrcast later this summer in Chicago. Starrcast promoter Conrad Thompson addressed Punk’s interview at the convention during a media call yesterday.

“There’s a lot people who really miss CM Punk and really identified with his character and persona and took his work personal and it was a special place in their heart and they’re super CM Punk fans and we’re glad they are and we’re glad they’re coming,” Thomspon said on the call. “But at the same time they don’t want to just have the memories, they want to see him go make new ones. And I understand that but ultimately that’s up to him.”

Conrad Thompson Addresses CM Punk Interview At Starrcast

Thompson made a point to clarify that he did not book CM Punk through AEW. He also said fans expecting Punk to appear at All Out are likely going to be disappointed.

“I want to clarify because I know that there’s lots of speculation out there this was not a piggy back booking, I didn’t book CM Punk through AEW, he’s not going to be at All Out and anyone who has that expectation is probably going to be a little disappointed because that’s not the way my booking happened.”

“He’s in a good spot where he sort of gets to call his next shot whether that’s in or outside of wrestling and I suspect that is the main question that everyone wants to know is ‘What’s next?”

Thompson would also confirm they have chosen someone to conduct the interview with Punk but they have yet to reveal who that person is.

Conrad Thompson On Whether WWE Made Concessions For The Undertaker At Starrcast II

In a recent media call hyping up the highly anticipated Starrcast II event, Conrad Thompson addressed the fact that WWE Superstar, The Undertaker, was pulled from the proceedings.

When queried by Wrestling Inc. whether they had received any sort of concession from WWE, Thompson replied, “No concessions were made to me. Absolutely none. It would have been nice if that were to be the case.”

He explained that he made alternative pitches to try and compensate for The Undertaker no longer appearing. Though every time he suggested a new name, including the McMahons and Shawn Michaels, he was denied.

“They Had A Contract With Me And Ultimately Did Not Honor It”

Conrad clarified that he “[…] booked The Undertaker through Get Engaged Media and wired my deposit to Get Engaged Media and I had a contract with Get Engaged Media and I was contacted by Get Engaged Media to let me know WWE would not allow The Undertaker to appear.”

“So, unfortunately, WWE is getting painted with the ugly stick here and I think The Undertaker has too and I think that’s a little unfair,” he said, before explaining that “My deal is with Get Engaged Media who marketed and advertised him on social media. They had a contract with me and ultimately did not honor it. The heat should not be with WWE or The Undertaker. It’s Undertaker’s representation, Get Engaged Media.”

Holy Grail

Although The Undertaker will no longer be at Starrcast II, WWE has allowed the event the opportunity to screen the 1986 dark match between Bret Hart and Tom Magee—a match that has recently resurfaced and is cosidered a “Holy Grail” in pro wrestling.

Starrcast II takes place between May 23-26th in Las Vegas, Nevada from Caesars Palace.

Grilling JR: Details On Jim Ross’ New Podcast With Conrad Thompson

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross and podcast host extraordinaire Conrad Thompson have revealed new details about their podcast, Grilling JR.

Thompson appeared on this week’s Jim Ross Report podcast and revealed the new show will premiere as soon as next week.

“The show’s going to be called Grilling JR, and it’s going to be a fun trip down memory lane,” Thompson says.

Thompson also says that fans of his other podcasts, 83 Weeks, Something To Wrestle, and WHW can expect a similar show format.

“All of my shows sort of double down on nostalgia… So we’re going to get in our wayback machine and talk a little UWF, a little Mid South, a little Crockett, a little WCW, and then all the years with the WWF,” says Thompson.

That is not to say that listeners should expect a retread of topics already covered on Thompson’s other shows.

Rather, says Thompson, JR’s unique wrestling journey will provide for a wealth of new ground to cover.

“It’s sort of the Something To Wrestle format, but nobody’s traveled the road that [JR] did,” Thompson says.

“I think it’ll be a phenomenal show.”

Ross says that he is excited to put a different spin on his podcasts, but to expect the show to continue dropping on Wednesdays, as the Jim Ross Report currently does.

“I think this is going to be a great, refreshing new show,” Ross says.

As to a timeline for Grilling JR’s debut, Ross says to expect it imminently.

“We hope to start next week, but it could be the week after,” says Ross.

You can get a preview of the new show on this week’s Jim Ross Report, which features Thompson as a guest. The full episode can be heard below:

Four Horsemen Trademark Update

As previously reported, there were several interesting wrestling-related trademark applications filed over the past week.

In addition to Cody Rhodes filing applications for the phrases “The American Dream” and “The American Nightmare” and Arn Anderson trademarking his ring name, another application was filed for the legendary “Four Horsemen” stable.

According to the US Patent and Trademark office, the “Four Horsemen” application was filed by a company called Toot Toot LLC. Toot Toot LLC is based out of Huntsville, Alabama and has the same mailing address as 1st Family Mortgage. The President of 1st Family Mortgage is the one and only Conrad Thompson.

Four Horsemen At Starrcast II

Thompson recently revealed that Four Horsemen’s enforcer, Arn Anderson, will take part in the Starrcast II convention.

“We’re proud to have Arn Anderson on stage as one of our marquee events,” Thompson said to SI.com. “We can’t wait for Arn to have a live mic in his hand, and stay tuned for more details.”

Anderson had the following to say regarding his recent release from WWE.

“I was fortunate enough to work with WWE for 18 years,” Anderson said. “Certainly that provided my family and myself with a nice living, and I have no regrets. A lot of my best friends still work there. Everything has a shelf life, and I guess mine ran out.”

Jim Ross Discusses The Undertaker’s Starrcast II Booking

We’ve reported previously that The Undertaker is now taking bookings outside of WWE. He will be making an appearance at the Starrcast II event later this year in May. According to Jim Ross, this announcement supposedly rankled a number of WWE officials.

Ross would once again discuss ‘Taker’s Starrcast II booking on his podcast, The Jim Ross Report. His guest for this particular episode was Conrad Thompson, who trademarked the name ‘Dead Man Talking.’

In the past, JR has supported The Undertaker’s decision to take these bookings, saying “I’m not surprised about it and to me, it’s just a third-party booking. He’s still under contract to WWE and I’m sure WWE gave him the blessing to go make a payday.”

Elaborating on WWE’s feelings on this, Ross would now comment on ‘Taker’s decision from a personal and business standpoint.

“They’re not happy in the front office, apparently,” Ross said. “How mad can you get at The Undertaker? And secondly, you’ve got a 50-year-old guy with young children, a son in college. His track record with marriages is much like mine. It takes a while sometimes to find the right one and he has. But he has got to make a living and if he’s at a point age-wise where WWE doesn’t want to use him in the ring, or if he doesn’t feel able to compete in the ring, and you want to keep him around, then you’ve got to pay him something! But you might not pay him the same if you can’t get the one, two, three matches a year out of him.”

Conrad would confess to Ross that he was “shocked” when he learned Undertaker was available for appearances. He, somewhat fairly, assumed that ‘Taker would simply be an instrumental part of WrestleMania, and therefore be locked down by WWE.

“I understand how that got people talking,” Conrad said. “The publicity alone when we announced, or when we had Sports Illustrated announce that he was coming, I mean it was a worthwhile investment just for all the attention it brought our convention just because he hasn’t done anything like this before.”

Starrcast II takes place from May 23rd to 26th. It will emanate from Las Vegas, Nevada, and already has a number of top tier talent involved. The Young Bucks, Cody, Lita, and Bret Hart are all scheduled to appear.

New Information Regarding ‘Dead Man Talking’ Trademark

In an update to the news over a trademark being filed for the name ‘Dead Man Talking,’ Conrad Thompson has clarified the reasoning behind the filing.

The trademark came up after it was revealed that The Undertaker was now taking appearance bookings outside of the WWE. Not only that, but he would be present at Starrcast II. This announcement was reportedly not well received by WWE officials.

Speaking with Total Engagement With Matt Koon, Conrad addressed the ‘Dead Man Talking’ title. He confessed that he simply “[…] thought it was a cool name.”

“I first heard the name years ago, and nobody trademarked it. And there is another podcast with that name out there but they don’t cover anything wrestling-related. I don’t know that I’ll be successful — I petitioned for the trademark, I don’t know that I’ll be awarded the trademark. But I thought it was a cool name.”

“The Undertaker Is A Contracted Professional With The WWE”

Thompson would continue, saying, “And we did book the Undertaker for Starrcast, and we have talked about there being the possibility of there being a second booking or there being a stage show or whatever involved with that. Maybe there might be something besides just pictures and autographs, but I don’t have anything confirmed with anyone.”

He would stress that “The Undertaker is a contracted professional with the WWE. I can’t imagine that he would do something outside of their umbrella besides a one-off appearance here or there at a Comic-Con or something like that, like he’s got coming up in the UK or Starrcast. But I thought it was a cool name. And so, I mean that’s sorta where we are.”

The Starrcast II convention takes place in Las Vegas, Nevada from May 23rd to 26th. The convention has already booked a number of talent and events, including The Young Bucks, Cody, Lita and Bret Hart.

Jim Ross & Conrad Thompson Developing New Podcast Venture

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross and Starrcast founder Conrad Thompson are in talks to embark on a new podcast venture. The news comes via Jim Ross himself on the latest episode of the Jim Ross Report podcast.

“This week I had a couple of really cool conversations with Conrad Thompson,” says Ross. “We have an idea for a podcast program that we are refining and talking about.”

While the project is still in the early stages, Ross sees a strong possibility that the two will end up partnering on a new show.

“It looks like somewhere down the road, there’s a very good chance that Conrad and I will be doing some podcasting together,” Ross says. “I’m very excited about that.”

Ross’s current podcast is produced by the Westwood One Podcast Network. JR did not discuss where the new show might end up, but suggests that it would take the place of The Jim Ross Report.

“It more than likely will take the place of this format,” says JR. “But it certainly will be something we think will be even better, and more informative, and more entertaining.”

“It’s in the discussion stages. I hope I haven’t jinxed it. I don’t think I will.”

This news comes at a time when there is uncertainty regarding the future of Thompson’s popular show, Something To Wrestle With Bruce Prichard.

While Thompson also hosts 83 Weeks with Eric Bischoff, and WHW with Tony Schiavone, his rise to the top of the wrestling podcast mountain came with Something To Wrestle.

Would a Jim Ross and Conrad Thompson podcast enjoy that same level of popularity?

“Stay tuned for that,” JR says. “That could be really exciting for us on the podcast front.”

Conrad Thompson Discusses Future Of “Something Else To Wrestle With” On WWE Network

Bruce Prichard and co-host Conrad Thompson launched a widely popular podcast, Something To Wrestle With, a few years ago.

Once WWE brought back Prichard as Brother Love for an appearance on RAW 25, which was an anniversary show that took place in January 2018, it led to a reunion with Prichard and the company that he worked for over the span of two decades.

Last year, WWE made a deal with Prichard and Thompson to bring a video version of their podcast that would air on their streaming service, WWE Network, for several episodes. Since then, fans have wondered about a potential second season of “Something Else To Wrestle With” and when it could air.

Thompson spoke with Wrestling Inc.’s Nick Hausman as a part of the WINCLY Podcast to discuss a wide range of pro wrestling topics. During this interview, Thompson discussed the possibility of WWE bringing their show back for another season.

“[WWE] definitely wants to do another one,” Thompson stated. “We didn’t even film any episodes last year until late April, early May, that’s what we’re looking at again this year.” He would continue by stating that WWE definitely wants to do more stuff with them and that fans will likely hear about it very soon.

CM Punk was discussed on the season finale of Something Else To Wrestle With. The timeline of this podcast was the period of 2006 through to 2008. During this time, it featured his run in ECW and winning the World Title.

Bruce Prichard Claims TNA Got Him in Trouble with the IRS Over Unpaid Taxes

This week’s edition of “Something to Wrestling With,” Bruce Prichard’s podcast on the MLW network, went up today, and the topic is Prichard’s time in TNA.  Late in the show, at the 2:37:30 mark, there’s a VERY interesting exchange between Prichard and co-host Conrad Thompson (they’re overlapping slightly at times, so I’ve removed any small interjections that didn’t go anywhere):

Conrad: “Do they owe you any money?”

Bruce: “[sighs] You know, they did something that was really bad. I had some financial issues, and they were supposed to pay to the government, and so on and so forth, and they didn’t do it. They garnished things from my check…”

Conrad: “Your withholdings from the federal government…”

Bruce: “Right. ”

Conrad: “That TNA kept, that weren’t included in your checks, but then they didn’t actually pay the government.”

Bruce: “Correct. Then the government came after me for [not] paying them.”

Conrad: “So they stole your money. How much money did they steal from you?”

Bruce: “Oh, that was about…it was only about $10,000.”

Conrad: “Still…”

Bruce: “But still, the arrogance…”

Conrad: “And you never got it.”

Bruce: “Well, it wasn’t coming to me, but the government finally got it. Because it was the government coming after me for the money.”

Conrad: “And you showed them proof…”

Bruce: “I show them proof! ‘Here’s where they took it…'”

Conrad: “‘I did my part.'”

Bruce: “So, I don’t know, ’cause I never heard the end of it, other than the government was satisfied. And…it was just those kind of little petty things that didn’t have to happen, that made you kind of feel dirty at the end.”

With everything that has come out about TNA as of late, it’s a very interesting allegation. Especially since, as we first reported a week ago, the state of Tennessee has a lien on TNA’s assets for unpaid business taxes. We’ve reached out to TNA for comment on Prichard’s allegations, and will update you if we hear back from them.

Rumor Killer On Whose Idea It Was To Mention Reid During Charlotte-Paige Contract Signing

Despite rumors to the contrary, it was not Charlotte who came up with the idea to mention her deceased brother Reid during her Survivor Series contract signing segment with Paige on RAW this past Monday night.

While it was WWE who pitched the idea to reference Reid during the segment to Charlotte, Uproxx.com reports that it was actually Charlotte’s idea, which is not the case. According to their report, Charlotte pitched the idea as a way to deal with a personal tragedy in her life by turning it into a part of a fictional storyline.

Ric Flair’s WOOOOO! Nation podcast host Conrad Thompson noted that Charlotte absolutely did not pitch the idea herself. Flair himself even pointed out how his daughter is still very new to the company and she’s not in a position to turn anything down. He also made it clear without saying that he wasn’t happy about the Reid mentions during the segment.

For more on what Flair had to say about the Reid mentions during the Charlotte-Paige contract signing, click here.
