The Worst-Rated WWE Video Game Characters You Could Never Win As

With WWE 2K24 around the corner, excitement for the new game is at a fever pitch, with top stars like Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins all confirmed.

While these three will have some of the highest ratings in the game, not everyone can have great stats, and there’ll always be somebody with the outright worst ranking in the game. In this feature, we look at some of the worst-ranked playable characters in WWE video games.

Eric Bischoff – 52 – SmackDown: Here Comes The Pain

Perhaps it was a battle for brand supremacy that led to then-Raw General Manager Eric Bischoff having the lowest ranking in SmackDown: Here Comes The Pain. Bischoff’s martial arts prowess and all-black gi helped little whenever you played as him in the game.

Ribbie – 60 – WWE 2K20

WWE 2K20 was a disaster of a game but it did give fans their first-ever playable anthropomorphic rack of ribs. Ribbie is the mascot of the Memphis Sliders, a minor baseball team, according to Byron Saxton, and with his BBQ sauce haircut, we imagine wrestlers weren’t eager to face him.

Curt Hawkins – 64 – WWE 2K19

The master of the losing streak, Curt Hawkins’ unfortunate record was replicated with his woeful score in WWE 2K19. Nowadays, Hawkins is faring much better in TNA Wrestling as Brian Myers.

Jimmy Hart – 67 – SmackDown Vs. Raw 2008

It makes sense that the Mouth of the South’s rating would be so low, given he very rarely wrestled. This ranking shows that in SVR ’08, Jimmy was best being kept at ringside.

Bo Dallas – 67- WWE 2K17

All the Bo-lieving in the world couldn’t save Bo Dallas from this dreadful score in WWE 2K17. Good luck winning any titles as the third-generation wrestler! His brother Bray would be well ahead of Bo in the game with a score of 87.

Sawyer Fulton – 69 – WWE 2K18

The forgotten member of Sanity, Sawyer Fulton’s 69 is the worst in the entire WWE 2K18 game. What makes this worse is that this would mark Fulton’s first and only time in a video game.

Eric Bischoff (again) – 69 – WWE 2K22

Things clearly picked up for Easy-E between Here Comes The Pain and WWE 2K22, but that wasn’t enough to save him from having the worst rating once again. Sorry Eric!

Michael Cole & Jim Ross – 71 – WWE ’12

These WWE commentators shared the same woeful rating in WWE ’12, so it’s only fair we lump them together. Frankly though, why anyone would play as either man, especially Cole, is anyone’s guess.

Kenny Omega’s Next Challenger Revealed For Impact World Title

Kenny Omega retained the Impact World Championship over Sami Calihan this past weekend at Slammiversary.

The next challenger to Omega Impact title was determined at Monday night’s television tapings from Nashville, TN. (Spoilers)

In the final match of the second set of tapings, Brian Myers won a #1 contender’s battle royal to earn the championship opportunity. This episode of Impact is expected to air Thursday, August 12th on AXS TV.

Kenny Omega vs. Brian Myers will headline Impact Wrestling’s next special event, Emergence. Impact has not yet confirmed the date(s) for Emergence, which took place over two weeks last year.

Curt Hawkins Sends Virtual Superkick To Vince McMahon After Impact Return Announcement

The former Curt Hawkins is set to make his Impact Wrestling return soon.

A new vignette aired for Brian Myers during Tuesday’s Impact episode, which you can see below. The teaser included Hawkins in and around a wrestling ring while several phrases were called out, including “Close your mouth, open your ears,” and, “Trust the process, just missing something…”

Myers tweeted WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon after the show and officially moved on from his former employer.

“Well, @VinceMcMahon,” Myers wrote. “I’m sorry, I love you. *superkick @IMPACTWRESTLING Let’s. Go.”

The virtual superkick is a reference to WWE Hall of Famers Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels, from their Career Threatening Match at WrestleMania 24. You may recall how Michaels hit Sweet Chin Music twice on Flair, then told him, “I’m sorry, I love you.” The finish to that match then saw Shawn deliver another superkick to Flair, to get the pin and put an emotional end his in-ring career.

Myers became a free agent last week after his 90-day non-compete with WWE expired. He had been released in mid-April, along with dozens of talent and employees, due to COVID-19 and the negative impact it had on WWE business.

Myers originally worked for WWE from February 24th, 2006 through June 12th, 2014. He held the RAW Tag Team Titles once during that run, with Zack Ryder. He then had a run on the indies and in Impact Wrestling, when it was still known as TNA, and had one run as TNA Tag Team Champion with Trevor Lee (NXT’s Cameron Grimes). WWE brought Myers back on July 21, 2016, and he would go on to become a two-time RAW Tag Team Champion with Ryder.

Impact has not announced when Myers will return to the ring, but we will keep you updated on when that is.

Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson had just signed new deals with the company last summer.

This is also the second time that Curt Hawkins has been released from the company. He was let go from his contract in 2013 and then returned to the company in 2016. Hawkins is a 2x WWE tag team champion along with Zack Ryder. Hawkins sent out the following:

Zack Ryder And Curt Hawkins React To Losing Tag Team Championships

Last night saw The Revival become crowned new RAW Tag Team Champions after emerging victorious from a triple threat match. The matchup also featured former-champions, Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins, as well as The Usos.

After the match, Kayla Braxton caught up with both Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins as they coped with having lost their titles.

“This one stings. It stings a lot, I can’t lie to you,” Hawkins said. “I lost 269 matches in a row, but this one hurts more than all those. We’ve been down this road before. It’s not the first time, it won’t be the last time. The slogan’s still going to be ‘Win, Lose, Never Defeated.’”

Ryder would then interject himself into the interview.

Clearly frustrated, he admitted that “It sucks. You weren’t the one who got pinned. I got pinned. You won the titles for us, and I just lost them. Everything we worked 10-plus years for I’ve just lost. And yeah, it’s our t-shirt, but it still sucks, man. I hate it. […] We’ve made a whole career out of coming back. That’s our story. The comeback.”

Ryder and Hawkins initially won the tag team championships from The Revival back on April 7th at WrestleMania 35. It’s not the first time the pair have held gold together, however, with the team claiming the tag championships back at the 2008 Great American Bash pay-per-view.

Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins Win WWE RAW Tag Team Titles

There are new WWE RAW Tag Team Champions and that’s Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins.

The tag team were able to beat WWE RAW Tag Team Champions The Revival (Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder) at WrestleMania 35. This marks their second reign as champions as they last won the titles at the 2008 Great American Bash pay-per-view event that saw them hold the gold for 63 days,

The Revival has gone as far as teasing bringing back the old design of the WWE Tag Team Titles, which has fans talking. This is just one of the many examples of how these two WWE stars want to bring back tag team wrestling to its glory days on the red brand. The Revival beat Roode and Gable to win the straps back on the February 11th episode of Monday Night RAW.

An image of promotional material in New York City that listed this match surfaced earlier this week before WWE officially announced it.

This comes after Ryder and Hawkins challenged Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder with the titles on the line at WrestleMania 35 after Monday’s RAW. WWE has since confirmed the match.

What are your thoughts on Ryder and Hawkins winning the titles? Was this the right call by WWE officials? Sound off in the comment section.

Who Is Replacing Braun Strowman At Mixed Match Challenge?

The team of Braun Strowman and Ember Moon was going strong at the Mixed Match Challenge with winning all four of their matches and they surely seemed like the favourites of this season.

But since Braun has been injured on last week’s Raw, Ember needed a new partner to continue competing in the event.

WWE announced that Curt Hawkins will be replacing Braun Strowman as Ember Moon’s partner at the Mixed Match Challenge. Hawkins, known for his losing streak, has lost 236 matches without a single win.

Moon had a singles match against Alicia Fox on this week’s Raw where Fox was accompanied by her Mixed Match partner Jinder Mahal as well as The Singh Brothers. Curt Hawkins was at ringside for Moon and she ended up winning the match.

“Mahalicia” and the team of Ember Moon and Curt Hawkins will face each other on tonight’s episode of the Mixed Match Challenge following SmackDown Live.

On the other hand, there is no information on when Braun Strowman will return, as he was attacked by Bobby Lashley, Drew McIntyre and Baron Corbin last week, shattering his elbow in the process.

Curt Hawkins Had To Fight To Keep His Losing Streak Alive

WWE Superstar Curt Hawkins recently did an interview on The Sam Roberts’ Wrestling Podcast. Hawkins discussed a wide range of topics; such as leaving WWE, life on the indies, returning to the company, and much more. One interesting topic of discussion was Hawkins’ current losing streak. The former Edge Head hasn’t won a match on WWE TV in quite some time.

His losing streak is well over 200 matches by now. It turns out, that streak almost ended not too long ago. Hawkins revealed he had to beg WWE writers not to end the streak. Initially, the plan was for him to defeat Heath Slater on an episode of Main Event.

Almost Ending The Streak

Hawkins knew that would be irrelevant, and pleaded with the lead writer of RAW to ask Vince McMahon to allow him to lose instead:

“What really sparked it all was… there was some kind of online article or something that said, ‘Hey, Curt Hawkins just lost his 100th match in a row’. Where, I think like… and I’m not throwing a shot out there but I think most of my colleagues if they saw that about themselves they’d be like, ‘Man, that’s bulls**t’ and be upset about it.

“A bunch of people tweeted me this information and I was like, ‘Oh my God, that’s true, yes. Lets talk about it. I didn’t know what it could become, but I knew like why not embrace it and acknowledge it.

“There’s been times since that article where I was supposed to… I remember one time I was supposed to beat Heath Slater on Main Event and I went, ‘Oh, no’ – I said ‘no, no, please no, this could be something.’ There’s no sense in ending it on Main Event against Slater.” Hawkins said.

“I literally went to the head writer of RAW and said, ‘Please no, I can’t [lose my streak]’ and they were cool about it in the first place because it was more like, ‘Hey, good job. You get to win one tonight’ and I’m like oh God no, you don’t understand, and I remember that particular night, I was like, ‘Can I just run something by you…

“You guys[creative writers] are all aware of the streak?’ They say yeah and I go, ‘Does Vince know about it?’ They’re like, ‘Probably not’ – well can you please just tell him before he makes a decision tonight – I got out of it.”

Curt Hawkins Reveals Advice He Gives To Those Wanting To Leave WWE

Curt Hawkins was recently a guest on Sam Roberts’ Wrestling Podcast. During the show, Hawkins talked about his relationship with WWE CEO, Vince McMahon.

Hawkins said he has always had a good rapport with McMahon, and even said “The Chairman Of The Board” has called him a good hand several times:

“He’s obviously intimidating,” Hawkins said. “He’s the ruler of professional wrestling, but I’ve always had a good rapport with him. I am very comfortable talking to him and things like that.

“I think he has seen me wrestle all these years and knows that I am a very serviceable pro wrestler and knows that I work hard every night, and I think he appreciates that.

“I’m not Roman Reigns, but as far as where he sees me on a star level, but there is a value of Curt Hawkins for sure. He has called me a good hand several times in meetings and to my face.”

Hawkins’ first run with WWE lasted from 2006 to 2014. After being released he learned what it was like working in professional wrestling away from the company. Hawkins worked all over the indies, including stints with promotions such as IMPACT Wrestling.

Advice To Frustrated WWE Stars

In 2016 Hawkins inked a deal to return to WWE. When he comes across Superstars who want to leave the company and work the indies, Hawkins offers some advice:

“I try to give them my perspective. I had a great time on the indies. The experience was cool and I did some cool things, so, I love pro wrestling but it was a lot of hard work and a lot of hustle,” said Hawkins.

“A lot of lonely ‘Virgil’ moments where you have to suck it up. That autograph line is not never ending wherever you go. There are moments where you have to check your ego and I don’t think that a lot of guys who have not done it don’t understand what the experience is like.

“If you do a good job and consistently work somewhere, and not work a lazy match and just take someone’s money, because I was doing the opposite. I told them that they don’t have to pay me this much, but that I would like to be involved with storylines and feuds and earn rapport of the fans where people are coming to see ‘The Prince of Queens’ Brian Myers and not Curt Hawkins, so that was my business philosophy.”

Daniel Bryan Calls Out The Miz For SummerSlam Match (Video), Curt Hawkins Relates To The Mets

Daniel Bryan Calls Out The Miz For Match At SummerSlam

On last night’s episode of SmackDown Live, Daniel Bryan challenged The Miz to a match at SummerSlam. Bryan called out Miz for his attack on him last week on Tuesday night. He also mentioned how Miz tortured him for two years when he thought Bryan couldn’t ever wrestle again.

Bryan said once Miz heard that he had been cleared he knew he couldn’t beat him in a fight. Miz appeared on the big screen and claimed to be on location for his Miz & Mrs. show. He also said that he’s done with Bryan. Miz said that if Bryan really wants a match with him to call his agent.

Bryan then belittled Miz’s acting career and said he’ll never be a real star like The Rock and John Cena. Check out the segment here:

Curt Hawkins On How He Relates To The New York Mets

Last night Curt Hawkins’ beloved New York Mets were destroyed 25-4 by the Washington Nationals. It’s rather poetic considering the losing spell Hawkins currently finds himself in as well.

Hawkins recently addressed this when a fan confronted him on Twitter about last night’s game. He said he and The Mets were made for each other:

Randy Orton Pokes Fun At Brock Lesnar On Twitter, WWE On Curt Hawkins’ 100 Match Losing Streak

WWE on Curt Hawkins 100 match losing streak

WWE posted the following about Curt Hawkins incredible milestone of losing 100 matches in a row:

Curt Hawkins puts a unique spin on his 100-match losing streak

There have been many streaks in the history of sports-entertainment. Goldberg’s 173-match undefeated run in WCW, Asuka’s ongoing and record-shattering reign as NXT Women’s Champion and, of course, The Undertaker’s legendary WrestleMania Streak immediately spring to mind. And yet, there’s an altogether different brand of consistency that’s being talked about these days.

Curt Hawkins has lost 100 matches. In a row. His last win occurred on the Nov. 8, 2016, edition of SmackDown LIVE.

Indeed, after being pinned by Jason Jordan last week in the “gold-blooded” Superstar’s Raw debut, the “Captain” of the “Curt Hawkins Star FACTory” stretched his, well, defeated streak to 100 — the longest such stretch in the modern era.

Most Superstars would see triple digits in the “L” column as a sign to probably, maybe, change things up. Hawkins, however, sees things differently.

“One hundred matches, 100 stars made in my ‘Star FACTory,'” Hawkins told WWE.com. “I win every night, whether the stats say it or not. I make stars, It’s what I do.”

Finn Bálor is among those stars “made” by Hawkins, and the first-ever Universal Champion was quick to “congratulate” the Queens, N.Y. native on Instagram.

With 100 straight losses under his belt, who’s the next star to be made in Hawkins’ “Star FACTory”?

“Probably Brock. He’s dodging me,” Hawkins revealed. “I’ve invited him many times on Twitter.”

Randy Orton continues to retweet comments mocking WWE

WWE Creative Humor has apparently become Randy Orton’s favorite Twitter account. As noted earlier, Orton recently retweeted one of their posts that mocked WWE’s gimmick matches:

Last night, Orton comments on the following tweet and stated that he found it funny. The tweet poked fun at WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar always seeming to have rumors circulating around him that he is going to leave WWE:

How Much The Rock Makes Per Episode Of Ballers, Hawkins Returning At No Mercy

– The Rock is making $400,000 per episode of HBO’s Ballers, according to a new list from Variety. Rock is #4 on the list of highest-paid comedy TV actors, behind Big Bang Theory actors Kaley Cuoco, Jim Parsons and Johnny Galecki, who each make $1 million per episode.

This summer, Forbes declared The Rock the highest paid actor in Hollywood. The Great One is on pace to rake in a staggering $64.5 million this year.

– Curt Hawkins will make his WWE TV return at Sunday’s No Mercy pay-per-view, according to this new vignette that aired on last night’s SmackDown. No word yet on who his opponent will be.

Hawkins, who started working house shows this past weekend with losses to Apollo Crews, also worked last night’s pre-show dark match as he defeated a local wrestler.
