You knew when RAW’s rating hit a 2.5 that it wouldn’t be long before we got an appearance from the Chairman himself.
WWE announced today that Vince McMahon will return to WWE RAW on Monday night to deliver a “State of the WWE Address.”
WWE.com is teasing:
“What will The Chairman have to say? Will he address the performance of Raw General Manager AJ Lee? Could her job be in jeopardy?
In addition to addressing the current state of affairs within WWE, does Mr. McMahon have anything to say regarding its future? Could The Chairman have a message directly from WWE’s Board of Directors?”
Special appearances and major announcements from Vince McMahon have been a tried-and-true method of jolting declining ratings in the past. We’ll find out on Monday night what the boss has in store for us this time.

For a variety of reasons — ranging from health setbacks to unfair stigmas — these Superstars were, at one point or another, cast aside and written off “unlikely,” writer John Clapp states. “Determined to prove themselves, these underdogs and overachievers refused to quit, no matter what the naysayers said. They all have unique stories, and the trajectories of their careers are far from ordinary. These are the Superstars who shouldn’t have made it.”
Those listed include Daniel Bryan, Tommy Dreamer, The Miz, Mikey Whipwreck, William Regal, Zach Gowen, Steve Blackman and Mick Foley.

His decision to eat meat again has garnered him a lot of negative feedback on Twitter and on website message boards. Bryan recently told WrestlingINC.com:
“I’ve been getting really sick lately. it’s a very unmanly way to stop being vegan, to have a soy intolerance. [Laughs.] But I was getting sick all the time, and they were trying to figure out what it was and they found out it was the soy.
“Being on the road, being vegan and trying to get your protein in other than soy, there’s just nothing to eat. There’s soy in everything. Most of the vegan things you can eat are tofu dishes and whatnot, made out of soy.”
The article notes that WWE Champion CM Punk is no longer vegan for the same reasons as Bryan.

WWE.com has an article up looking at wrestling schools and the people who trained today’s Superstars and Divas, such as Tyson Kidd, Natalya, Zack Ryder, Daniel Bryan, Sheamus, Damien Sandow and more.
Daniel Bryan, who was trained by WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels, told this story about almost killing the Heartbreak Kid during his training:
“One night I nearly killed Shawn Michaels. This was before his return from his back injury. I was trying to do a thing where I’d spring off the second rope onto the top rope, spin and do a hurricanrana. Keep in mind, at the time I was 175 pounds, and that’s a lot of weight to land on somebody’s shoulders.
“I was trying to do it on Brian Kendrick, and it wasn’t working. We thought Brian was too small. He was probably 150 pounds at the time. Shawn watched us do it a couple of times, and he got in the ring and wanted to do it with me. I go to do the hurricanrana, land on him and he ends up landing right on his head and rolls right out of the ring. We all freaked out. That was the night I nearly killed Shawn Michaels.”.
– After sustaining a season-ending injury during last Sunday’s game against the St. Louis Rams, Washington Redskins defensive end Adam Carriker immediately thought about Triple H.
“I’m laying there on the turf at the Edward Jones Dome and there’s one thing going through my mind and it’s the image of Triple H tearing his quad tendon off his knee in the ring,” Carriker said on 4th & Pain. “Why I’m thinking about that, I don’t know… I think that’s because it’s exactly where I felt it in my leg.”
Like Carriker, the WWE Superstar tore his left quadriceps muscle in May 2001 and suffered a similar injury at a pay-per-view event in January 2007. The full story is available here.

He says he was in the middle of a chin lock and noticed that the crowd was looking away from the ring. He thought that there was a fight in the crowd, and first realized what was going on with Lawler when he went to the top rope. He noted that Lawler was very lucky, and the locker room was very concerned because they’re like a close family backstage.

He also discussed being a smaller wrestler in WWE, and said that he was lucky that he had ten years of independent wrestling experience before being thrown into a WWE ring. He noted that one of the best things about being out of the indys is that he gets a chance to shower after a WWE show, unlike wrestling in armory’s and small halls.
The host brings up the necktie incident that resulted in his firing from the company in 2010. Bryan admitted that he was fired because it “wasn’t PG.” He defended himself, and said that he was told that they [Nexus] were told to go out there and give a “gang-style” beating. He said that he was new with the company at the time and didn’t know the rules.
He is asked about the difference between “sports entertainment” and “wrestling.” Bryan stated that the fact that WWE produces 8 hours of television a week, it just can’t be wrestling. People would get bored by just 8 hours of wrestling, and he said that you need to throw interviews and storylines in there to give people a break.
Daniel Bryan revealed that he and CM Punk are NO longer vegans after being one for 2 1/2 years. He said that it was the hardest thing to find vegan food on the road.
