Update On Raw Guest Host Plans, New Additions To WWE Roster

— As of Sunday, the idea was that guest hosts would be used on Raw every other week instead of every week. (source: www.f4wonline.com)

— As seen last night on Raw, Bret Hart was removed from the Raw General Manager position by Vince McMahon for not attending the previous night’s Fatal 4-Way pay-per-view (kayfabe). McMahon then informed fans that a new, anonymous General Manager would take control of the show, emailing announcer Michael Cole his orders. His profile has since been removed from the Raw Superstars section.

— It was also announced on Raw that the Rookies from the first season of NXT have earned contracts with World Wrestling Entertainment (kayfabe). Their respective profiles have been added to Raw Superstars section. It was also revealed that Wade Barrett had been granted a future pay-per-view title match again by the mystery General Manager.

– Rey Mysterio is said to be unhappy with WWE after they prevented AAA from holding a Rey Misterio Jr., Cup this year. Mysterio asked WWE for permission, but turned him down, saying they don’t want him appearing on a AAA show even if it’s merely to present a trophy.

— NXT Rookie David Otunga is scheduled to work SmackDown house shows. Company officials feel he has star potential but want him to get more experience on the road since his wrestling isn’t close to ready.

Bret Hart Leaving WWE, Cena vs. Batista Stipulation & More

– WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart appeared on the “Right After Wrestling” Sirius XM satellite radio show last night and announced that his last scheduled date with WWE is the May 17th commercial-free Monday Night RAW from Toronto, Canada. As noted before, this show is being built around Bret’s WWE return to Canada and it looks like it will be his farewell, unless they can come up with a storyline to keep him around. – WWE will tape tonight’s NXT and this week’s Friday Night SmackDown tonight from the North Charleston Coliseum in North Charleston, South Carolina. – The WWE production guy in the backstage segment on RAW tonight with Edge was actually WWE writer Brian Gewirtz.

Vince & Linda WrestleMania Notes, David Otunga Interview

– Neither Linda or Vince McMahon attended the post-WrestleMania party in Phoenix this year. The original report that Linda attended the Hall of Fame may be false as she was seen arriving at the hotel after the ceremony with her bags. Linda was at Fan Axxess on Sunday morning looking at displays of old wrestler’s gear and chatting with some fans. It’s said that Vince may have been hurt taking all the chairshots from Bret Hart but if he was, he would never sell it or tell anyone, or want anyone to see him walking around hurting. – Since WWE started the pay-per-view price increase with the Royal Rumble in January, they have not suffered any significant hit on pay-per-view buys.

MTV.com has an article online where they covered WWE NXT Rookie David Otunga guest hosting Raw. The piece mentioned Otunga’s fiancee Jennifer Hudson signing “One Shining Moment” at the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. Below is what was written about Otunga:

But Hudson wasn’t the only member of her family to have a big night on Monday (April 5). Fiancé David Otunga had his own set of highlights as the host of “Raw,” WWE’s flagship show. Otunga won a battle royal on last week’s edition of “WWE NXT” that won him the opportunity to run the big show. As host (a role taken on by the likes of Snoop Dogg, William Shatner, Jewel, Timbaland, Ozzy Osbourne and Bob Barker), Otunga booked himself into a tag team championship match (he and John Cena lost to the Big Show and the Miz — the later a former star of MTV’s “The Real World”) and decided that the main event of the next pay-per-view would be Batista against John Cena in a Last Man Standing match.

Ziggler Takes Shot At Otunga, Follow Daivari On Twitter, More

WWE Magazine conducted a “Twitterview” with Dolph Ziggler this evening on the social networking site as he answered questions regarding Shawn Michaels’ retirement, WrestleMania, his hair, Simpsons, and much more.

When asked to give his pick to win NXT, he selected Heath Slater. It’s worth noting that during his response, he referred to David Otunga with the following: “And the one guy is simply here because he dates some chick that’s in magazines, he’s not even in the Diva’s league.”

Regarding Michaels’ retirement, he compared it to the last episode of Seinfeld.

“You don’t want it to end, and no matter how amazing and mindblowing it is, you don’t want it to end,” Ziggler said. “It still doesn’t seem like he’s gone, WWE has lost the greatest superstar ever, and a lot of guys, including me, have lost a great mind. I went out into the arena floor for that match, and it was amazing! He went out like no one else could or ever will!”
