Bam Margera Trains with DDP Yoga in Recovery Journey

Professional skateboarder and Jackass star Bam Margera is prioritizing his health and recovery by training with wrestling legend Diamond Dallas Page (DDP) in Atlanta. In early February 2025, Margera participated in yoga sessions alongside DDP and AEW star Darby Allin as part of his ongoing wellness journey.

DDP Yoga, a program known for rehabilitating athletes and former wrestlers, has become a key component of Margera’s recovery plan. His training at DDP’s facility includes a combination of yoga exercises, structured fitness routines, and cold plunge therapy to aid in physical and mental well-being.

Margera has reportedly maintained sobriety for eight months, marking a significant milestone in his personal transformation. His collaboration with DDP is particularly notable, as the program has helped wrestling legends like Jake Roberts and the late Scott Hall overcome addiction and health struggles.

With a renewed focus on skateboarding and fitness, Margera continues to travel and stay active, reinforcing his commitment to a healthier lifestyle.

Update On Plans For WrestleMania 34 Main Event, DDP Yoga’s New Commercial (Video)

– Some speculation has seemed to have emerged after Roman Reigns’ recent defeat of The Miz for the Intercontinental Championship, leading some to believe that he may no longer be taking on Brock Lesnar in the main event of WrestleMania 34. This is not the case, per a report from Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, who notes that plans have not yet changed.

As of last week Reigns is still scheduled to challenge Lesnar for the Universal Title, but it’s unknown if he will go into “The Show Of Shows” as Intercontinental Champion. It’s expected that “The Big Dog” will drop his title before then.

  • Kevin Nash Speaks On His Health, Starting DDP Yoga Soon, Mick Foley’s Style

The following are highlights of a new Miami Herald interview with Kevin Nash:

On his health: “My wife, my son and I went on a European vacation. Three or four days walking around London. Three or four days walking around Paris. Three or four days walking around Munich. My knees were so swollen. My ankle has been operated on. It’s got a plate, screws in it. My body just couldn’t take walking eight to 10 miles a day. What are you gonna do? Now that you’ve got the time and you’ve got the funds to see the world with your family, you don’t have a body that can participate in anything. Finally, I just had to tap out. I said, ‘I’m going to that little garden over there to sit down in the shade. I’m done.’ They came back and got me 2 1/2 hours later, and I was sitting down. I got a chance to see all those places before, so I was a good tour guide, but I was just physically uncapable of putting that much mileage on my knees. I just went up to a wedding in Minnesota and just the travel — two hours in a car, four hours in a plane. The lodge we were staying at, when we got there after all that travel, I felt like somebody beat me with an aluminum baseball bat. In the plane, the seats are right against my knees. I can’t move. I’m sitting there at a 90-degree angle, jammed in my seat. It’s miserable…Oh well.”

On beginning DDP Yoga soon: “I’ve read testimonials from people, and he’s done some really good things with them. There’s a lot of people losing 30 to 40 pounds in 13 to 15 weeks, and that’s not water weight. His isn’t ballistic, where those Insanity and other things are very ballistic workouts. So if you do have an injury, you can’t do the Insanity workout or any of those things because you can’t sit there and jump up, do one-arm push-ups. You can’t do that stuff if your shoulder is all torn up. The next time I get a chance to see [Diamond] Dallas [Page], he’s gonna tailor some things specifically for me. The only thing I’m starting to lose range of motion is in my shoulders because of my rotator cuffs. One of them has been repaired, and the other one is just shredded.”

On wrestling taking its toll: “Mick Foley was probably one of the biggest abusers of not taking care of his body. Raising the bar, falling 50 feet through tables and doing all these things, but when you’re 35-years-old, your body has some resiliency to it. When you get to be 45, 50, it takes you two hours to get out of bed. We call it the bump card. Your body only has so many bumps in it. I was never a high-flier. I was 340 pounds. I was falling seven feet. You knock me off my feet. I’m seven feet tall. That’s my drop, seven feet with 340 pounds of weight going down. That’s equivalent of getting rear ended at 30 miles an hour in a car. You do that 12 times a night, 300 days a year, 10 years in a row. [Recently] I got up. Gees, it took me an hour to get out of bed. Just to pick your head up off the pillow, it’s miserable. It’s a slow process to get moving everyday.”

“I was traveling so I didn’t get a chance to see [WWE] Money in the Bank, but I was reading the feed on Twitter. Guys getting busted open. Guys doing crazy things. You read some of the comments about it saying fearless,’ and that’s all great, and that’s part of what makes WWE what it is…You have guys go out there and give their bodies and give their souls for the good of the company and for the fanbase… Rey Mysterio was a high-flier all those years, and I think now he’s two or three knee surgeries behind me. I think he’s had about nine knee surgeries. He’s a guy about half my size, and we’re sitting at WrestleMania [30] talking, and when we both get up, it’s like two 70-year-old women getting up. His style was incredible, but at the same time he’s paid dearly for it.”

  • DDP Speaks On Jake Roberts Documentary, Teaching Yoga To WWE Talent & More

The following is highlights of a new Wrestling Podcast Network interview with Diamond Dallas Page:

On “The Resurrection Of Jake ‘The Snake'” Documentary: “Our goal is to not just make a movie. Our goal coming into this movie is to do an Oscar nominated documentary. That’s our goal. Whether that becomes true or not remains to be seen. I would love to do something with the WWE when it comes to it.”

On teaching DDP Yoga to WWE talent: “Triple H brought me down there about four months ago. I did a seminar with the guys and girls down there and they loved it. Everybody has the program now. It’s great for healing your body. Ryback is another guy that does it (DDP Yoga) and does it consistently too. Ryback is still hitting the weights obviously so he can maintain that massive size that he has. For him, its strength and conditioning, preventive maintenance for his body so he doesn’t break down.”

On his time in wrestling: “I lived the dream in a different level. I was the anomaly in terms of Star Trek, an anomaly means this is not supposed to happen.”

The following are highlights from another new Diamond Dallas Page interview:

On DDP Yoga: “There are 30 current WWE wrestlers doing DDP Yoga. Every single wrestler at the Performance Center does it, that’s 19 women and 61 guys doing DDP Yoga.”

On Jake Roberts’ cancer surgery: “He’s got to get the skin cancer removed from his leg. I asked how he could let it spread like this, it’ll be interesting to see what happens tomorrow because they said the surgery could be 2 hours, or it could be 8 hours.”

On a DDP Yoga App: “It’ll be like the Netflix of fitness. We will have our own programming and only through the APP will you be able to get live workouts. We’ll also do cooking and you might see me cooking with Jake or Scott in the accountability crib.”

On having one last match: “I have no intention to do it anywhere other than WWE. The only person I would consider wrestling would be Randy Orton and only because our storyline is built in. We could have a hell of a run but it would break my body up so bad. There is no reason for them to put him in an angle with me because he is too far up the ladder and I’m grateful for that because I’d take it if they offered it.”

On if he will induct Jake Roberts into the WWE Hall Of Fame: “It’s been talked about but everything runs through the WWE so I don’t know what decision they will make. I would be honoured to do it but it won’t hurt my feelings if they pick someone else because it’s Jake’s night.”

  • DDP Speaks On Fans Hijacking Shows, Working With Heath Slater, Shark Tank

The following are highlights from a recent Journey Of A Frontman interview with Diamond Dallas Page:

On his appearance on ABC”s “Shark Tank” reality show: “Well you know, there was parts where there was tension. I thought they did such an amazing job on the edit. I was just like, “Wow!” I was blown away. It was what it should be, an inspirational piece. It didn’t matter whether we got a deal or not, it was amazing all the way around. That’s the way I see it.”

On wrestlers using DDP Yoga: “Well, the best example I can give you is the guy who really gave me the credibility, Chris Jericho. He had herniated his L4 when he was doing Dancing with the Stars. Even though the show was really physical, it wasn’t that. It was the twenty years of wrestling he had prior to that. It was the straw that broke the camel’s back, so to speak. I heard he was out and the doctor said he was done, the same thing happened to me at forty two, and now he’s forty. They’re saying he’s done, so I sent him the video of Arthur’s transformation, a disabled veteran (that was told that he would never be able to walk on his own ever again) who with DDP Yoga, lost one hundred and forty pounds in ten months and was able to walk and run on his own, gaining tremendous balance and flexibility along the way. The video has over ten million views.”

“I sent it to Jericho about two and a half years ago. When he saw the video, he said, ”Send me whatever he did and I will do whatever you want me to do.” And he followed the plan exactly the way I taught him. In five weeks, he was eighty five percent pain free. In three months, he was a hundred percent pain free. He headlined Wrestlemania two years ago in Miami, then he worked for a couple more months, then he took off and went touring with his band Fozzy for six months. And then he showed up at the Royal Rumble in January of 2013. If you’re not wrestling all the time, you fly out there in the first five minutes, you’ll be blown sky high. But because DDP YOGA is a kickass cardiovascular workout that dramatically increases your flexibility and strengthens your core with minimal joint impact, he was able to come back and wrestle a match because of my workout and the level that he does it. He was the number two spot in the Royal Rumble, he wrestled for forty seven minutes and fifty three seconds. He only does one workout, DDP YOGA. That’s the greatest testimony I can give to you.”

“There’s at least thirty guys who are doing it, whether it’s Dustin Rhodes or Ryback or Sandow, there’s a bunch of ‘em that are doing the workout. All the young kids are doing it, the guys that are coming up trying to get their break in the WWE Performance Center down there. So it’s pretty much across the board right now.”

On working with Heath Slater for the 1,000th episode of RAW: “I thought it was awesome. I love the kid. He was having the time of his life because he was a fan of all of us. So he couldn’t wait for the Vader Bomb or the Diamond Cutter. I mean he loved it. And he’s a good kid, he’s a damn good worker. I hope at some point he actually gets the push. He could back it up because he can talk and he can work.”

On fans hijacking shows with random chants: “I love it. (laughs) In a very different way, that’s what happened for me. The bookers weren’t doing shit with me. If you look at 1996, I work with Eddy, we had amazing matches together. But I also worked enhancement matches because that was most of the shit they gave me. The crowd though, watch a video called Diamond Cutters on Everyone. Just watch that video. It’s about four minutes long. And watch the people pop when I hit the Diamond Cutter and they pop a little more, a little more, and then a lot more, then a really lot more, then a fuckin’ crazy lot more. Ten thousand people in the building would jump to their feet because of all the ways I did the move, it came out of nowhere. You watch that video all the way through, go back and watch it, watch and see who I hit that on. Sting or Hogan or Nash? No, none of ‘em. It was all enhancement guys. So the crowd was with me crazy. WCW had to do something with me. And Daniel Bryan, a couple weeks back where he ended up on top of the cage doing the “Yes!”, holy shit. To me, that’s as over as I’ve ever seen anybody. It may be the most.”

  • DDP Interview: Ultimate Warrior In The WWE Hall Of Fame Before Jake Roberts & Randy Savage

Wrestling legend Diamond Dallas Page joined Doug Mortman and Dave Lagreca on this week’s Busted Open radio show, which you can hear on satellite radio on SiriusXM Channel 92. Here are some highlights of what he said about:

If The Ultimate Warrior is a Hall of Famer: “Are you kidding me? Abso-f**king-lutely. I mean you have to look at how guys drew. And there are fans that don’t like the Warrior. There are plenty of fans that don’t like Diamond Dallas Page. I get that. And the people who don’t like him, really don’t like him. But the people who love the Warrior; they f**king love the Warrior. And that was really obvious when we did in New Jersey, New York, Philadelphia–they can be the most critical fans on the planet. Me and Jake Roberts we smoked through autographs while we were there for those couple of days, but Warrior and Hogan came in and were doing the 100 to 150 dollar autograph thing and that line went out the door all day long. So you say what you want about Warrior, but the cat is true. He brought his energy. He brought a dynamic to wrestling at that time that was original. And I wasn’t a big fan of his interviews but people fricking loved them! People loved that guy. I was a Jake Roberts guy back in the ‘80’s, so I skate more that way.”

His thoughts on Warrior going in before Jake Roberts & Randy Savage: “Well I think in Randy’s case, I think Randy he was pissed. I don’t think he really wanted to go in. That’s just my observation from a far. I never heard that from Randy but I’m sure now that the great Randy Savage has passed on, at some point he will be put in there. But I think there was–you have to accept. You have to go there and show up. And there was some heat there. And I think it was just about to get fixed too, just like the Warrior had a lot of heat there. I think he absolutely would’ve gone in. Maybe this year cause Randy was just coming out–when he died, Randy was just starting to come out. About to do a comic-con and stuff; do some autograph signings and stuff. So I think you would have seen him in there. Right after; not too long after his death, I don’t think it had to happen right away but I would imagine that Randy will be in there. And I believe that Jake Roberts will get in. I think I’ll get in. I think there will be a lot of guys that will get in there from Kevin Nash, Scott Hall. I think a lot of those guys will get in. Sometimes it just takes time and I think that Jake doing his turn around that he’s done over these last 16-17 months–or 16 months I think it is–people are buzzing everywhere about Jake. So I think at some point, it would be awesome if it was this year but who knows? You never know.”

His thoughts on his involvement with helping Jake Roberts change: “Well you know Jake put all the work in. Jake was at my house today cause he doesn’t know if he’s going to get that call for Rumble. But you know what if he gets it; he’s gonna be ready. If he doesn’t get it, he’ll still be ready. And Jake worked his skin off–he had the flu bad too the last four days. And he came to work out today and I’m like Jake you can come tomorrow and he’s like nope, let’s go. We did about an hour; Jake lasted about 46 minutes. I was proud of him that he fought through it and he’s really done an amazing turn around. And he’s had some serious adversities. When people get a chance to see what we have; the footage that we have for The Resurrection of Jake The Snake. I’ve been doing this documentary for close to 15 or 16 months now. You know that right? We’ve been documenting everything. We put pieces up on DDP TV, if anybody wants to see the trailer that we have for The Resurrection of Jake The Snake. We did that the first three months. We’re about to open up with another one of Jake’s that is coming up right around in the next couple of weeks. And it will really–it’ll give you goosebumps. And there is so much–my guys; I got five guys working. I’m a production company more than anything now. DDP yoga is the center piece but everything is happening around from Scott Hall to Cody Hall, who was rookie of the year according to (Dave) Meltzer’s sheet. I didn’t see that but that’s legitimate as it gets. But Cody got out there because of DDP TV and what we put out there with him and Scott and everything. It’s just been awesome. I got my editors; I’ve got five of them. And there’s two guys that are new and they’re going through our footage like oh my god I can’t believe you have this. This is going to be a completely different movie than Beyond The Mat. This is about the resurrection of a legend.”

Doing DDP Yoga on WWE TV: “Well I got to say first of all; no one and I repeat no one puts anything on Vince McMahon’s TV without his okay. And I’ve had people say to me so what do you think about Vince McMahon trying to ruin your career with the whole stalker thing, blah, blah, blah. Over the years, right? Anything that anyone thought cause I made a lot of those decisions myself and they were stupid decisions by me. Anyone who ever thinks that there has ever been anything between Vince and me or whatever and I’ve always told everyone; no, there’s not. What Vince did for me two Monday’s ago with DDP Yoga was–he couldn’t have given me a better angle. He couldn’t have given me a better spot. He let me go on there for a minute and a half. It was written into the copy! They gave it to me. I didn’t pick up the DVD’s and do that. That was written for me. “Wear your shirt.” Hunter told me do the foot over the head, that always blows people away. You know I was like okay! I expected to be in something but I didn’t expect it to be what it was. And to have Booker T involved too, who is one of my good buddies. Cause he’s the one guy from WCW who really got over. He’s a five time World Champion and he got the strap there. So bottom line is to be able to do it with him and then have Ron (Simmons) come out; it was just–we did so many takes of it, every one was funnier than the next. I had liked the last one the best but there were other ones that were laugh your ass off funny. And we just had a blast. And Ron said (DDP imitating his voice), “Man, Diamond they’re really working you today. This one’s gonna be a shameless plug but you working for that s**t today…DAMN.”

DDP Yoga Intern On Jake Roberts’ Sobriety, The “Accountability Crib,” & More

The following are highlights from a recent VOC Wrestling Nation interview with DDP Yoga intern Dylan Frymer:

On the progress of Jake “The Snake” Roberts: “I want to make it clear that Jake is a year clean off of cocaine. However, he recently had a problem with alcohol that we documented on YouTube. Since then, I’ve been going on the road with Jake as an accountability partner. I keep him accountable to himself. We’re a tag team on addiction. Food is my addiction, and (Jake and I) help each other.”

On getting involved with DDP Yoga: “In 2008 I was going to meet DDP at a convention in NJ. I was 290 lbs at the time, and I was one of the first people to sign up for the YRG program (the former name of DDP Yoga, “Yoga for Regular Guys”) My mom sent an email to Dallas and he actually responded back to me personally. I was one of the first 10 people to do YRG and I lost 110lbs.”

On moving into DDP’s “Accountability Crib”: “I fell off the wagon after a bout with depression and gained most of the weight back. Depression is real. I was originally approached to come and live here with Jake, but I was in a funk (and said no). Then I saw that Scott Hall moved in and it really impacted my life; I reached out to DDP on facebook and let him know that Scott Hall inspired me to (overcome depression) and that I lost 20lbs. DDP called me and asked me to move into the Accountability Crib and work with him as an intern, and the rest is history.”

ECW Original Claims To Have No Interest In WWE Or TNA, Talks DDP Yoga & More

The following are highlights with ECW original Stevie Richards:

On becoming a certified DDP Yoga Instructor: “It’s done me a look of good and in a lot of ways has improved my overall fitness. It lets me help other people, do something very positive and productive, and helps me to monetize something that I’m already doing every day.”

On the benefits of DDP Yoga: “You can get cardio without impact, you can raise your heartrate into the exercise zone in a short period of time. I’ve broken my neck a few times, I’ve needed knee replacements. Because I’ve been doing DDP Yoga for the past few years, it’s prolonged my wrestling career and led to a healthy life.”

On how hard it is for the common person to follow the routine: “One you get immersed in the workout, you’re going to be hooked and you won’t want to put bad things in your body.”

On his future in wrestling: “I have no goals in wrestling. My goal is to continue to be booked, continue to be healthy, and continue to get paid to feed my cats. I have no delusions of grandeur that WWE or TNA is going to call and nor do I think at this point I would even be interested, considering the travel time versus the amount of money I’d make. Waiting for a call (from WWE or TNA) is one of the most poisonous things you can do to yourself because you’re not in control of the situation.”

Goldust Speaks On Rhodes Family/RAW, HHH, Dream Match Against Cody Rhodes

SESCOOPS.COM reader Aaron Carnevale of WrestlingDVDNews.com sent along the following highlights of a recent Dustin “Goldust” Rhodes interview with the Monday Night Mayhem radio show:

The health benefits he has seen since starting DDP Yoga: “With DPP Yoga, there are a couple benefits. I stand up straighter now, and I can bend in ways I couldn’t bend. I feel so much better: my joints, muscles, and bones. It is awesome.”

His memories of working with Scott Hall as Goldust and what valuable lessons Hall taught him in his career: “Me and Scott have had some fun times with the Goldust stuff, even though we didn’t see eye to eye all the time. We always went out there and gave 110%. I had to learn and Scott was a good teacher. He taught me what I needed to know and how to do things the right ways, and I just grew from that. I love Scott.”

His expectations on the night of his WWE return earlier this month on Monday Night RAW against WWE Champion Randy Orton and why he took out his frustrations on Triple H via Twitter: “My nerves were shot. Cody loses his job, and my little brother had the world taken out from under him all because he spoke up. That pissed off my family so I started getting on Twitter saying things to Triple H. Going into that match with Randy, I was focused. I went into that match very focused and very nervous. I was fighting for Cody’s job, and I lost fair in square.”

With the current state of events in the WWE between the McMahons and the Rhodes families, whether or not he envisions his one-on-one Dream Match with his brother Cody in the foreseeable future: “It could take place in the foreseeable future or whenever, you never know what is going to happen in the WWE. But, I’ll say that I don’t want that anymore.”
