As seen at WWE Night Of Champions on Sunday night, a fan jumped the guard rail and hit the ring just before the start of the Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Chris Jericho vs. The Wyatt Family six man tag-team match.
As noted late last night, WWE issued the following statement regarding the fan incident after the show:
“WWE takes the safety of our performers very seriously and any fan entering the ring area will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
According to PWInsider.com, due to the recent string of fan incidents, WWE is reportedly looking to pursue the most stringent prosecution possible for all future fan incidents.
WWE generally issues lifetime bans to fans who jump the guard rail at events, however if WWE pursues criminal charges for these incidents in the future, the feeling is it will decrease the amount of repeat incidents.

As we reported on Sunday night, a fan jumped the guard rail and hit the ring while Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose were staring down The Wyatt Family, prior to Chris Jericho being introduced as their mystery partner.
The fan ended up being taken down and out of the ring by security, Jericho came out as planned, and the match went on — as did the remainder of the show — without any additional interference from the fan, or other fans.
As this is the second time in recent weeks that WWE has had a fan jump the rail, coincidentally enough during Ambrose matches in both cases, WWE issued the following statement:
“WWE takes the safety of our performers very seriously and any fan entering the ring area will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

The fan stood next to Reigns and Ambrose in the ring before being tackled and taken out by security. This was, oddly enough, the second time in the past few weeks that Ambrose in particular has been involved at a WWE event where a fan jumped the guard rail.

WWE’s former head of security Jimmy Noonan recently appeared on the Wrestling Mayhem podcast and said somebody needs to be fired after the recent slew of incidents with fans getting involved at live events.
Over the past several weeks, all 3 former members of The Shield have had brushes with rowdy fans getting out of line:
- Roman Reigns was hit in the head by Money In The Bank briefcase thrown by a fan at a live event (Video).
- Dean Ambrose was nearly attacked by a fan who jumped the ringside barrier at the 8/5 Smackdown tapings before getting taken down by security (Video).
- On the 9/7 edition of WWE RAW, a fan crashed the show and walked to the ring with WWE Champion Seth Rollins during his entrance (Video).
Noonan, who worked for WWE from 1999 to 2007, says he’s actually offended by the way WWE has handled the situation, “It’s getting embarrassing. I’m getting offended by it.” Noonan said. “You don’t get caught three times in one month. If you do, you’re fucking up. Somebody is messing up. Not shitting on WWE security, but somebody is making a mistake.”
Despite the incidents, Noonan doesn’t think WWE will take action against their security team.
“I think somebody should be fired. I think if you’re security and you mess up, you should be fired. Will they? Probably not.” He also said that there’s always a concern that someone who is armed with a knife or other weapon, or a legit fighter, would get in the ring and hurt one of the wrestlers. He said that the biggest fear was during the Austin era since it would do damage to his character if someone jumped in the ring and got the best of Austin.

There has been some speculation that the current angle between Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose could potentially lead to a Reigns heel turn.
Since being promoted to the main roster, Reigns has been viewed as an obvious main event project, one that WWE has been carefully booking in specific ways pretty much since day one.
Lately, there has been speculation that Ambrose bringing Jimmy Uso into the fold for their battle against The Wyatt Family could lead to the Reigns heel turn, as Reigns would get upset that Ambrose brought his family, Uso, into a situation where he would get destroyed.
Whether or not this is the direction WWE is going remains to be seen, however there are many reasons why turning Reigns heel right now would make sense from a booking standpoint.

Dean Ambrose recently spoke with Brian Fritz of Sporting News to promote his role in the new WWE Studios movie, “12 Rounds 3: Lockdown,” explaining how he found out about the news that he would be in the movie, and how he reacted to the offer.
“I immediately said yes, I am interested,” Ambrose said. “Of course. I was like f*ck yeah! It took me a second and they said yeah, we have this project with ’12 Rounds’ which has been a great franchise for us. I was like wait, you want me to be in a movie? Yeah I’ll do that! Are you kidding me? No further questions. Sign me up.”
Additionally, Ambrose spoke about his mindset in taking the movie offer, as well as the possibility that acting could be an avenue he could pursue after he retires from WWE.
“When you’re on the road with the WWE, you’re so wrapped up in this whirlwind of making 300 towns a year and wrestling every night that I wasn’t looking too far into the future,” he said. “But if the opportunity was in front of me, I was definitely going to take it. If I got hit by a bus tomorrow, I get to say I was in a movie. I had a sense they thought it would be something I would be good at and maybe it’s another avenue to pursue after my career.”

Scott Fishman of Channel Guide Magazine recently spoke with Dean Ambrose to promote the WWE Studios film “12 Rounds 3: Lockdown,” which Ambrose is featured in. Below are some of the highlights from the interview.
On getting the lead role in the 12 Rounds 3: Lockdown movie: “How often do you get a chance to star in a movie? It wasn’t something that was on my immediate radar or agenda. I jumped at the opportunity. How can you say no when someone wants you to be in a movie. It’s an experience. It took me about two seconds to say yes. I didn’t find out until later that I was the lead role in this. I said sign me up from the get-go. I thought I was going to be a background player like when a WWE Studios movie will have a WWE superstar in the background for like five seconds. Upon learning I was earmarked to be this guy in the lead role. I was thinking, ‘What? You know I’m completely unqualified for this. I have no idea what I’m doing.’ They were like, ‘You’ll be find. Trust me.’”
On his mentality going into filming: “I thought that if it does well I could have a second career as an action star. If it sucks, then stop asking me to be in movies. You know what I mean. I had a feeling that this is something I would be good at. Sometimes things happen for a reason and things work out the way they are supposed to. I feel this was brought to me at the right time. I had a feeling in my gut that I could do this. I took it very seriously. I didn’t want it to be Dean Ambrose, who plays the cop. I wanted to fully become this character. It’s a much different personality and character than myself. It’s not the guy you see on WWE TV, which is essentially me. That’s the funny part. In WWE, I’m not acting. I just kind of go out there and am myself. Sometimes with sports entertainment you are somewhat over-the-top. In this, I’m a bit serious as a detective. There is a lot of acting involved. There was a challenge to learn how to do it.”
On his Dean Ambrose character vs his movie character John Shaw: “In the ring, I just let all the chains off. If I have a microphone in my face, I’m just going to let my mouth run with whatever I feel or comes out. Like walking to the ring and having a bad day, I’m going to be out there scowling in a bad mood. Whatever legitimate emotions, I’m going to portray it. Whatever comes to mind or whatever ridiculous thing pops in my head, I will do. Shaw is a lot more calculating. He has much more of a poker face than Dean Ambrose. The bad guys don’t quite know him because he has this poker face about him. He has to be in dangerous situations and has this evidence that if other people know he has, they will kill him. He is a detective, so he has this edge to him. A lot of his character is internalized, which was a challenge because in pro wrestling it’s very expressive. There are a lot of pieces to this guy that I really wanted to become him.”
On doing more acting in the future: “I definitely have eliminated any notion that I can’t do this. Right now, I’m in the thick of it with WWE. I’m not going out auditioning for roles. At the same time, if there is another 12 Rounds, and I get to reprise my role, I would jump on it. Once I got my legs under me for a few weeks, now I feel much more prepared. I got one under my belt. I also do think it would be fun to play a different role as a bad guy or evil guy or one with a different personality. I also think comedy wouldn’t be that much of a stretch to me. I spend most of my life goofing off and having fun, so I can definitely see comedy. I would jump at any opportunity I can because I like to live life to the fullest. You only get to live once.”

As reported this weekend, WWE is teasing a six-man tag-team match with a mystery partner at the WWE Night Of Champions pay-per-view.
Originally, the man expected to fulfill the role as the third “mystery” member of the team of Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose to take on The Wyatt Family trio consisting of Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper and Braun Strowman, was “The Icon” Sting.
Instead, as noted in our original report, the leading candidate at this point as the mystery member of the Reigns-Ambrose team is none other than former Wyatt Family member Erick Rowan.
It should be noted that until further notice, this should be taken strictly as speculation at this point.

Dean Ambrose appeared on the Gorilla Position podcast this week and opened up about his relationship with WWE personality Renee Young.
Ambrose spoke very highly of her, joking that Renee is “far too good” for him.
“I wouldn’t be with anything less than the optimal, most beautiful, most tremendous girl in the world,” he said. ” But the bottom line is, she’s far too good for me! But it’s far too late and I’ve got my claws stuck into her now, she can’t go anywhere.”
After heaping praise on his significant other, Ambrose then joked that she’s got herself a pretty good catch as well.
“Would a girl like that want to be with anyone but the legendary Dean Ambrose? So, its going to work.”

WWE Superstar Dean Ambrose recently spoke with Scott Fishman of The Miami Herald to promote this coming Tuesday’s WWE SmackDown television taping. Below are some of the highlights from the interview.
On filming the WWE 2K16 commercial with Arnold Schwarzenegger: “That was crazy. I didn’t know anything about it until I got there that day. ‘Terminator’ is one of my favorite movies. To do a complete reenactment of one of my favorite parts in the movie, working with Arnold Schwarzenegger and he is giving me the Terminator eyes. It was so surreal. It was so trippy. The word I use to describe everything with the whole ‘WWE 2K16’ experience. So it was very cool. It’s one of those bonuses you get while living the life of a WWE superstar. The cool stuff you get to do.”
On WWE developmental: “I kind of miss that whole NXT thing. When I was there it was Florida Championship Wrestling with Seth Rollins and the other guys who were there. I wrestled on like local access Florida TV in front of 30 people. It was a tiny little situation. I felt like we were distanced from the rest of the company. We felt we were on an island that WWE didn’t even know we existed. That gave us the chip on our shoulder. That gave us the motivation when we got there and the attitude we needed to take over WWE when we did. I wouldn’t have had it any other way. It’s great for those guys. Now they don’t have to worry about being on an island wondering if anyone knows them. They have their own TV show every week. They get to go on tour and travel. They get to be their own brand. It’s like a whole other brand of WWE. It’s just like a shoot-off of Raw or SmackDown.”
On his character: “There is no creative process to come up with a character of Dean Ambrose. Dean Amborse is collective experience of 29 years of life. It’s the good, the bad, the ugly, after 10 years plus of wrestling. Everybody goes through their own life experiences. The good, the bad and the ugly that has formed me, shaped me and created the person I am today. That is what you see on TV. I don’t try to get anybody to like me or hate me. I just do what I do. If you are good at what you do, good things follow. I just happen to be very, very good at what I do.”

– Bull Dempsey recently spoke with WWE.com about his new gimmick and his win over Elias Samson at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn. When asked about Bull Fit, he said “It’s about hard work and not being afraid to be yourself. The hardest thing to do is be yourself in front of people. If you can do that, there’s no obstacle you can’t overcome.” As for what’s next for him: “Bigger and better things. At one point, when I first came here, I promised I was going to be NXT Champion. After what people saw in Brooklyn, the sky’s the limit.”

WWE Superstar Dean Ambrose recently appeared as a guest on The Two Man Power Trip Of Wrestling podcast. Below are some of the highlights from the interview.
On how his preparation differs from other WWE Superstars: “I like to take things moment to moment. I don’t try to be anything that I’m not because that would be in-authentic and I was blessed with certain talents and certain abilities and others I wasn’t. I try to do things I do and do them well and I don’t try to pretend to be anything that I’m not. If I’m in a bad mood, your gonna get Dean Ambrose in a bad mood. If I’m in a good mood your gonna get happy, fun Dean Ambrose that day. I would literally take whatever I’m feeling, that’s just what you will see in the ring.
I like to just be myself and I just go out there and kind of just do whatever I want to my own devices and it’s kind of just not just the fans but WWE slowly realized another Dean Ambrose isn’t going to walk through the door anytime soon. So I kind of occupy my own space and kind of carve out my own little spot. Fans don’t want to tune in and see you do the same things every week and when they hear your music for me they like to think that any wild thing may happen when I come through the curtain because sometimes I don’t know. I make as much up as I possibly can as I go along.”
On his memories of the late “Rowdy” Roddy Piper: “Everybody loves Roddy Piper. There’s so many of these shocking out of nowhere passings and it’s so weird because these are the guys that my generation grew up watching, it sucks. Everybody loves The Hot Rod and my favorite Roddy Piper memory is a very specific one because I recently not too long ago watched it. Starrcade 96 when he fought Hogan for the Championship when he came back to WCW, it was a terrible, sloppy match with two old guys but awesome and was such a spectacle.
The cool part of it was his entrance. One of the best entrances you will ever see if you really watch it and you are into the story and you really watch what he is doing, it’s like this death march to the ring. You have this on-going decade long blood-feud with Hogan and he knows that he is going to get beat up by the nWo and ganged up on 20-1 and it’s a one man war against the nWo and he’s just coming down the aisle as simple as can be, no flashy entrance or pyrotechnics. In WWE everyone has the special entrance.
In NXT they have a dance move that they do and they get in the ring the same way every time and its like their schtick. It was so refreshing to go back and watch that because he comes out and just stares at the ring and burns a hole with his eyes and walks down the aisle as simple as humanly possible. His eyes are just cold and it just tells so much, you know he is willing to go in there in the middle of that ring. He is going to fight to the end. If he walks away with the championship, cool but he’s prepared for this to be the end. It’s very intense and most people who watch it wouldn’t put that much thought into it but get on WWE Network, watch Starrcade 96 and just watch Piper’s entrance it’s such a cool thing.”
On being compared to stars such as Piper, Terry Funk and Brian Pillman: “I really can’t answer that because I try not to put any thought into what I am doing. I go by what I feel, whatever happens, happens. I think a lot of those guys probably thought the same way.”
On the reason he works so well with Seth Rollins: “Our styles just meshed well. First time we ever wrestled was in FCW. We never crossed paths before. It was maybe one of the first times that people started to pay attention to what was going on in Developmental just from a wrestling standpoint. I had a certain following and he had kind of ran with a different crowd on the indy scene like Ring of Honor and it kind of was a clash of indy worlds happening in Developmental. It just clicked immediately. I felt that stuff that he did was complimenting the stuff that I did.
The stretching and they physical stuff in the holds, it was such a phsyical style I was doing at the time and just kind of meshed with his and it was like peanut butter and jelly, like mixed perfectly together the stuff that we were doing. He is such a smart guy and visualizes and comes up with cool things and then you have just the way that I would like go off-the-cuff a lot of times, we could go out and wrestle thirty minutes and literally not talk at all before hand, it just meshes well and then you know WWE styles still mesh and it’s hard to explain. There’s just that certain chemistry with people. He’s so good, its like anyone can have a good match with Seth Rollins and we kind of bring out the best in each other from a healthy competitive standpoint and all the great opponents always had that together like Ric Flair/Ricky Steamboat and Nick Bockwinkel/ Verne Gagne.”
On who in WWE tries to bring down the house the most: “I think all of the core group of guys right now, myself, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Cesaro, The Wyatts I think we all have that competitive chemistry with each other because we are kind of pushing each other and we are the guys kind of carrying the load right now as far as 300 nights a year. We are the guys who are counted on to tear the house down and wrestle 15-20 minutes on Raw each week and I think that’s a real healthy thing across the board.”

WWE Superstar Roman Reigns recently spoke with AMNY.com to promote tonight’s WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view. Below are some of the highlights from the interview.
On how it feels to team with Dean Ambrose again at SummerSlam: “It feels good to have small talk and inside jokes out there. And to be able to laugh and watch Ambrose do something crazy, watch him freak out and start destroying stuff. It’s such a good dynamic, I think it’s going to be a great matchup. Anytime you put some Shield boys in the ring with some Wyatt boys, it turns into some magic and some hectic craziness, so hopefully we don’t burn the whole building down in one night.”
On what other matches he’s excited to watch tonight: “To be honest, I’ve been so immersed in my feud, and my beef with Bray and Luke, and as you know, any time it becomes a family thing, all attention span is thrown out the window. I’m like an unleashed dog. I can’t focus. I just want to fight. I want to wrestle the Wyatts. I’ve got to be completely honest. Just right off the top of my head, I can say Brock [Lesnar] and [The Undertaker] is going to be the matchup of a lifetime. … I’ve been in the ring with both, even more so with Brock. I’d be extremely shocked if we didn’t see an epic match and one for the books.”
