In the video featured above, Dean Ambrose talks to Renee Young about his WWE Intercontinental Championship victory over Kevin Owens at Sunday’s WWE TLC pay-per-view in Boston.
Ambrose spoke about past champions such as Randy Savage, Ricky Steamboat, Pat Patterson and Bret Hart being the workhorses of their prime and the I-C title being the workhorse title of the company.
He said people in WWE today, such as Owens and Sheamus, like to cheat and he doesn’t feel those past champions he named would approve.
“That’s why I’ll go to every nook and cranny in this country, every town in the United States, every arena all over the world and I will defend the Intercontinental Championship like it was my own child, like it’s the only thing in the world that mattered to me,” Ambrose said. “Because that is what being champ is all about.”

– WWE continues to tease a possible heel turn for WWE Divas Champion Charlotte. They wrote the following in their official preview for tonight’s edition of RAW:
“We’re seeing a different side of Charlotte lately, and it’s not one that agrees with the Divas Champion’s longtime friend, Becky Lynch. On Raw, the daughter of two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair took a page out of her dad’s playbook when she feigned an injury to take Becky off her game and steal a victory over The Lass Kicker in what was supposed to be a friendly bout. Then, on SmackDown, a hot-headed Charlotte got Becky disqualified in her match with Brie Bella. Although Charlotte’s interference was in retaliation after Brie accidentally knocked the Divas Champion down at ringside, the second-generation Diva seemingly had no regard for how her actions would affect her friend. Are we now seeing the “real” Charlotte?”
– After being sent home last week due to a “bad flu bug,” WWE Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens is expected to make his WWE television return on tonight’s RAW. Owens made his in-ring return at the WWE live event on Saturday evening in Fayetteville, North Carolina, losing to Dean Ambrose.

John Cena’s WWE return has been delayed, as he is no longer advertised to appear at the December 19th WWE live event from The Forum in Inglewood, California. Brock Lesnar will be making a rare house show appearance at that event.
Cena’s next scheduled WWE appearance is now the December 26th WWE live event from Madison Square Garden, where he is scheduled to face United States Champion Alberto Del Rio. He’s also booked for the following night’s WWE RAW from Brooklyn, New York at the Barclays Center.

– As we reported as a spoiler earlier this week, Dean Ambrose defeated Dolph Ziggler and Tyler Breeze in a triple-threat match on this week’s SmackDown to become the number one contender to the WWE Intercontinental Championship. With the win, Ambrose earned himself a shot at Kevin Owens and the I-C title at next month’s WWE TLC pay-per-view.
– In the “holiday spirit” department, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, along with longtime top WWE Superstar and the star of the new FOX reality show “American Grit,” John Cena, posted the following Thanksgiving messages on Twitter today.
Today is the day to truly remember what we’re thankful for in life. Happy Thanksgiving to the WWE Universe.
– In keeping with the Thanksgiving theme, WWE.com is running a poll today asking fans which WWE Superstar they are the most thankful for. – SEScoops.com would like to wish everyone a healthy and happy Thanksgiving!
At the WWE SmackDown television taping in Indianapolis on Tuesday night, a new title match was made official for the WWE TLC pay-per-view in Boston.
Recent WWE World Title Tournament finalist Dean Ambrose managed to defeated Tyler Breeze and Dolph Ziggler in a triple-threat match to become the new number one contender to the WWE Intercontinental Championship, earning himself a shot at Kevin Owens at the upcoming TLC event.
With that now known, below is a look at the updated WWE TLC lineup, including some rumored matches that are expected for the show.
TLC Match For WWE World Heavyweight Title
– Sheamus (c) vs. Roman Reigns
WWE Intercontinental Title
– Kevin Owens (c) vs. Dean Ambrose
Other matches that appear likely include Alberto Del Rio vs. Jack Swagger in a chairs match, The New Day vs. The Usos vs. The Lucha Dragons and The Wyatt Family vs. The Dudley Boyz in a tables match.
Roman Reigns won the WWE World Heavyweight Title Tournament at the WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view in Atlanta, Georgia on Sunday night to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion for the first time in his career, however he would not leave Philips Arena with the gold.
Reigns defeated Alberto Del Rio in the semi-finals to advance to the finals later in the evening, where he would have to beat his “brother” and former fellow Shield member Dean Ambrose. Ambrose defeated WWE Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens to earn his spot in the tournament finals.
In the WWE Survivor Series main event, Reigns defeated Ambrose via pinfall after blasting him with a spear. Reigns had a lengthy celebration in the ring, complete with tons of confetti falling from the ceiling as he gets emotional holding the title when out of nowhere, Triple H’s music hit.
“The Game” made his way to the ring. He raised Reigns’ hand and tries to shake his hand, but Reigns refused. He ended up spearing Triple H, however as soon as he turned around, Sheamus blasted him with a Brogue Kick and cashed in his Money In The Bank briefcase. He immediately covered Reigns but Reigns’ somehow still had enough in him to kick out before three.
Reigns ended up getting back to his feet, but after missing a Superman punch, Sheamus caught Reigns with another Brogue Kick and immediately covered him again. This time Sheamus got the three count. Sheamus and Triple H celebrated as Reigns stayed laid out in the ring as WWE Survivor Series 2015 went off the air.

WWE has officially added John Cena to the January 5th SmackDown television taping at the Laredo Energy Arena in Laredo, Texas. That will be the first taping for SmackDown on the USA Network.
With tickets scheduled to go on sale for the taping on November 23rd, there had been some concern that there were not enough big stars advertised for the show. The plan since WWE announced that SmackDown was moving to the USA Network has been to load up the show with star power.
The updated lineup for the 1/5 SmackDown taping in Laredo now features Cena, Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, Sheamus, Bray Wyatt, Alberto Del Rio, Kevin Owens, Dolph Ziggler, Luke Harper, Braun Strowman and more.
WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair spoke about a number of current topics on the latest edition of his WOOOOO! Nation podcast, such as his prediction for the finals of Sunday’s WWE World Heavyweight Title Tournament at Survivor Series, Seth Rollins’ injury and Cesaro’s ability to be a bigger star. Below are some of the highlights of what Flair talked about.
On Seth Rollins’ injury and when he thinks Rollins will be back in the ring:
“Actually, Seth is doing the right thing. He’s going to transfer the flag from Waterloo to Birmingham and stay there for at least two months of rehab, which is the best thing to do. That’s what Hunter did. Hunter just moved right down there when he tore his quad the last time.”
“I think they’re looking at him, praying that he’ll be back for Summerslam.”
On Cesaro’s ability and potential to be viewed as a legitimate threat to Brock Lesnar:
“I feel like Cesaro, given the opportunity and with a vehicle to convey his thoughts, whether it be through himself or through a manager, which would be me, you could get him ready for Brock Lesnar in two months and the people would believe it. He’s that strong and he’s good [of] a performer. And he’s that big. You’re not going to bounce Cesaro around like a dart.” Flair continued, “I think he could be a great opponent for Brock Lesnar. I mean, you’d need to stay on him because his work is phenomenal, he looks like a million bucks, and he’s stronger than a horse in real life. He’s really strong, strongest guy in the company, and that came right from John Cena.”
On who he sees in the finals of Sunday’s WWE World Heavyweight Title Tournament at Survivor Series:
“I don’t think they’re going to put Ambrose and Reigns [in the finals] because I don’t know how the crowd would react to that. They’re both kind of like fan favorites and it would be hard for them. I think they’d rather have a definitive good guy/bad guy [match].”
“I would say Kevin Owens [will face Reigns in the finals] because Kevin’s getting a huge reaction over here [in Europe]. We only have a couple [of] heels that are actually heels all the time. Kevin is one of them, Stephanie [McMahon] being the other.”
WWE taped the following matches on Tuesday night in Knoxville, Tennessee for this week’s WWE Survivor Series “go-home” edition of WWE SmackDown, which airs this Thursday night, November 19th on SyFy.
– The Miz kicks off this week’s SmackDown with Miz TV. Kevin Owens comes out and declares it The Kevin Owens Show. Next out was Alberto Del Rio and Zeb Colter. Del Rio and Owens had words and then stared each other down. Dean Ambrose came out next to a big reaction from the Knoxville crowd. Roman Reigns then came out. Then R-Truth came out but The Miz reminded him he’s not in the tournament. Truth said he was right, apologized and wished Reigns and Ambrose good luck. After The Miz throws a fit, Reigns distracted him so Ambrose could knock him out, which is exactly what he did. Del Rio, Colter and Owens scattered out of the ring, leaving Reigns and Ambrose standing tall to end the segment.
– Cesaro def. The Miz in the first match of the evening. When we come back, The Miz is complaining about being disrespected. He demands his match for tonight be canceled, but out came Cesaro, who beat him in about a minute with a float-over cross-face.
– The Dudley Boyz & Neville def. The Ascension & Stardust in six-man tag-team action.
– Tyler Breeze comes out to cut a promo with Summer Rae by his side. Breeze rips on Dolph Ziggler, who comes out to watch the next match.
– Tyler Breeze def. Zack Ryder in singles action with the Unprettier. After the match, Ziggler attacked Breeze and left him laying with a superkick.
– The Undertaker’s druids come out wearing sheep masks as The Wyatt Family makes their way to the ring. Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman cut promos until they are interrupted by The Undertaker’s gong. The Undertaker appears on the big screen and cuts a promo, which ends with Kane appearing and burning a sheep mask and The Undertaker says “Rest In Peace” as the turnbuckles on the ring explode.
– Charlotte def. Brie Bella in a non-title match. The WWE Divas Champion picked up the win via submission with her Figure Eight hold.
– Renee Young interviews Paige backstage. It’s also announced that tonight’s main event will feature Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose in tag-team action against Alberto Del Rio and Kevin Owens.
– Big E. def. Kalisto in one-on-one action. He picked up the pin after hitting two big splashes thanks to a distraction from the other New Day members. After the match, The New Day attacked Kalisto and Sin Cara until Ryback came out and made the save.
– Backstage, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose talk about how they’re going to be in the Survivor Series main event together and their tag-team match tonight, which is up next.
– Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose def. Kevin Owens & Alberto Del Rio via Disqualification in the main event of this week’s show. The DQ came when Del Rio threw Reigns into the steel steps. A brawl breaks out between the four guys after the match. Reigns hit a spear and Ambrose hit a Dirty Deeds to stand tall as SmackDown goes off the air.
Following Monday’s RAW, the semifinals of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship finals are set. At Survivor Series, Dean Ambrose will square off against Kevin Owens while Alberto Del Rio will face Roman Reigns to determine who advances to the finals.
The big question to most fans heading into Survivor Series hasn’t been, “Who will win?” but, “Will Roman Reigns turn heel before he wins?” The tournament has lacked the intrigue and excitement you would expect from a guaranteed new champion due to the feeling of inevitability that Reigns will be winning.
Over the past week, there has been a major push amongst WWE decision makers for Dean Ambrose to walk out of Survivor Series as champion. The news was first reported by PWInsider and SEScoops has since confirmed this independently. A source with ties to the situation placed the odds at “70/30” in favor of Ambrose walking out as champion.
Whether or not WWE follows through on this and puts the belt on Ambrose, our sources say there’s no chance that Roman Reigns turns heel and Vince McMahon is still dead set on building him as the company’s top babyface.
It will be interesting to see the final betting odds for Survivor Series this weekend once the ‘smart money’ bets are placed.
After Monday night’s WWE Survivor Series “go-home” edition of RAW went off the air, Bray Wyatt came back out. Wyatt spoke about Survivor Series briefly before calling out Roman Reigns.
This led to an eight-man post-show dark match for the live crowd at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina. The match ended up mostly consisting of guys doing their finishers and other big spots.
The match featured Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman taking on Reigns, Cesaro, Dolph Ziggler and Dean Ambrose. Ultimately, everyone fought to the back and in the end, Reigns and Ambrose were left alone in the ring.
Ambrose took the mic and said the two would win their matches and meet in the finals to determine the next WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Reigns agreed and said they’d always be brothers.
– On Monday’s edition of WWE RAW, it was announced that the four semi-finalists in the ongoing WWE World Heavyweight Title Tournament will be guests on a special edition of Miz TV on this week’s edition of SmackDown. The four semi-finalists, as seen on RAW, are Roman Reigns and Alberto Del Rio on one side of the bracket, and Dean Ambrose and Kevin Owens on the other side. This week’s SmackDown will be taped on Tuesday night at the Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville, Tennessee.
– Also on Monday’s RAW, it was announced that WWE Divas Champion Charlotte will be appearing on ESPN SportsCenter on Tuesday to promote her title defense against Paige at this Sunday’s WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view.
WWE confirmed on Monday’s Survivor Series “go-home” edition of RAW that at this Sunday’s pay-per-view in Atlanta, Georgia, both the semi-finals and the finals of the WWE World Heavyweight Title Tournament will take place.
On Monday’s RAW, the quarterfinals of the tournament took place with four men advancing to the semi-finals of the tournament, leaving the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion to be determined among the four at this Sunday’s Survivor Series pay-per-view.
With those tournament matches now in the books, below is an updated look at the WWE World Heavyweight Title Tournament brackets, as well as the regular lineup heading into Sunday’s show.
WWE World Heavyweight Title Tournament Semi-Finals
– Kevin Owens vs. Dean Ambrose
– Roman Reigns vs. Alberto Del Rio
WWE World Heavyweight Title Tournament Finals

In a recent interview with Busted Open Radio, Tommy Dreamer made it clear who he thinks should be the next WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
“Me personally, I think Dean Ambrose is the guy,” said Dreamer. “I think Dean Ambrose has the people’s – the people are behind Dean Ambrose. There’s an underdog way and there’s also that star way and both – to me honestly, Dean Ambrose should be the guy and it could then have Roman Reigns be like, ‘That was supposed to be my spot’. Now you’re totally flipping the switch and making Roman Reigns the jealous guy, you know, and if you want to go further down layers, you could have an awesome beat-down. Here comes, let’s say, the Wyatt Family. Let’s say they get all back together and then who comes out of his injury? Seth Rollins and then you have The Shield back together again. Because we never really had the big Shield vs. the Wyatt Family, which I thought should’ve been a WrestleMania match. They should never have touched.”
Dreamer was there to promote his company House of Hardcore. Busted Open Radio airs on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays from 2-4pm ET on SiriusXM 93 and on the SiriusXM smartphone app.
When WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins’ knee exploded last week under a mistimed sunset flip powerbomb attempt in Dublin, Ireland, fans were sad. He’s in the middle of the biggest run of his career and is going to miss WrestleMania 32 in Dallas, which WWE has planned as a “biggest show ever” type of event. That said, when the dust settled and a tournament was announced, there was hope.
With Randy Orton injured, John Cena on sabbatical, Daniel Bryan out indefinitely, and now Rollins out six to nine months, everyone figured WWE had to shake things up. How couldn’t they? They’re being forced into something new and have a ton of options. The bracket and booking for the tournament so far, however, have made it look like they’re not really interested in that. The expected names are in the tournament, like Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, Cesaro, Sheamus, Kevin Owens, and to an extent, Dolph Ziggler. Everyone else felt like a designated jobber.
Nothing against Kalisto or Titus O’Neil, but they both stuck out like a sore thumb. At least The Miz is a former champion. Tyler Breeze being in the tournament was, in and of itself, a good idea, but then he lost his first ever Raw match in the process to Ambrose. What exactly is the point of that exercise? Seriously, why would you even consider doing that?
The way the brackets line up, it looks like the finals will be Roman Reigns from the left side taking on Dean Ambrose from the right side. There have been a number of times over the last several months where references to their friendship got so heavy-handed that it seemed like one or the other turning heel was inevitable. Now, with a new top heel being a necessity, it’s hard not to think one of them won’t turn. At first, maybe you’d think it’s Ambrose: He’s been a great heel in the past and a strong heel run would make him an even stronger babyface down the line.
After Monday’s Raw, though, that doesn’t look like the plan.
Raw opened with Triple H announcing the tournament and, basically, inviting Roman Reigns to turn heel, join The Authority, and get handed the title as an alternative. After all, that’s what Triple H did as a management-approved top contender in 2002 when the world title split off. Reigns, of course, turned him down…for now.
Where it gets interesting is that there are similarities to The Rock’s storyline 17 years ago this month in 1998. The Rock, then a freshly turned babyface, had left Vince McMahon’s Corporation stable and turned down offers to return. He made it to the finals of the WWF Championship tournament at the famous Survivor Series: Deadly Game PPV, where he was gifted the title in a Montreal Screwjob reprise.
Is this what WWE’s going for? Should they be trying it? One of the things about the fan reaction Monday in Manchester, England was that the fans like Reigns…they just don’t like his current babyface persona and wanted him to turn heel. That’s probably not changing for a while. A heel run where he wipes off the stink of WWE trying to model him too closely on John Cena would be a good setup for an eventual run as top babyface, similar. t0 what I said about Ambrose but arguably more necessary.
That would shake things up. Ambrose turning would shake things up to a point and probably help him, but feels like the worse thing possible for Reigns. At this point, I don’t see what option they have other than Reigns turning heel to get him the momentum he needs.
Meanwhile, in his WWE.com interview that went up today, Triple H had this to say (h/t Cageside Seats for the transcription):
People will do amazing things when given the opportunity. Some people will look at that opportunity and turn it down because they think they know better. Some people would look at that and say they’re crazy for turning that opportunity down. But I can guarantee you this: That opportunity is still there. Somebody will be crazy enough to take that opportunity. Somebody is willing to do absolutely anything to be the man.
The 11/5 edition of WWE SmackDown on Thursday night averaged 2.123 million viewers. This is up slightly from last week’s 2.117 million.

@SamoaJoe make sure to point at the sign. They really like that.
– According to the L.A. Times, WWE Hall Of Famer Bret Hart is selling his home in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. The asking price for the property is $705,000, which is down from the $725,000 they were asking for back in May. Hart originally paid $675,000 back in 2004 for the home, which is 2,064 square feet of living space, three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a wet bar, a center-island kitchen and a personal office.

– Erick Rowan made his WWE television return at Monday’s WWE Hell In A Cell “go-home” edition of RAW. Rowan returned early into the show during a segment where Roman Reigns brawled with the Wyatt Family. He returned later in the show for the main event, which saw him team with Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman to take on the team of Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins.
– There was an exchange between WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley and WWE Superstar Adam Rose on Twitter on Monday where each guy put over the other guy. The exchange got started after Rose was asked by a fan who his biggest inspiration was. Rose was quick to respond, “Mick Foley. In and out of the ring.” Foley responded to Rose’s tweet by saying, “Thank you. It doesn’t get much better than having the respect and admiration of your colleagues.”
– Although it has been rumored that highly-regarded independent wrestler Tommaso Ciampa has signed with WWE, Ciampa is claiming otherwise. As we reported via F4WOnline.com earlier today, as of Sunday, Ciampa had yet to officially sign the dotted line on an actual WWE contract. Ciampa wrote the following on social media regarding the rumors.
As expected, WWE shot an injury angle on Monday’s WWE Hell In A Cell “go-home” edition of RAW in Dallas, Texas to explain the current hiatus of “The Viper” Randy Orton.
Orton, who just recently returned after being off of television for a while, is back on hiatus and is scheduled to get married in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 14th. It will be Orton’s second marriage.
During RAW, the cameras shot to the announce table where Michael Cole made what was called a “Breaking News Announcement.” Cole announced that Orton did not appear at the WWE tour of Mexico over the weekend as scheduled, and that his status for Sunday’s WWE Hell In A Cell pay-per-view, where he is scheduled to team with Dean Ambrose to take on The Wyatt Family, is in question.
JBL chimed in and stated that his “sources” have informed him that The Wyatt Family got to Orton and attacked him ahead of Sunday’s pay-per-view.
The Friday, October 15th edition of WWE SmackDown scored a 1.55 rating. The show, which was taped in Cincinnati, OH at the U.S. Bank Arena on Tuesday, had an average of 2.09 million viewers.
This is down from last week’s 1.57 rating, with an average of 2.14 million viewers
This week’s show was main-evented by Dean Ambrose and The Dudley Boyz taking on The New Day
Dean Ambrose recently spoke with Game Stop to promote the new WWE 2K16 video game. Below are some of the highlights from the interview.
On if having more public scrutiny makes his job harder: “Yeah, a lot of fans kinda take the magic away. But it’s been like this for years now, where they dig and search for every little bit of info and spend so much time deciphering everything and overthinking things. That’s just an outlet for their passion for wrestling, but it does take away the magic sometimes, so I almost wish people would stop doing that. But if you take a picture of somebody and post it online, you’re an asshole. I hate having my picture taken in general. And if I’m not allowing it… and it’s just gotten worse over time. I don’t understand pictures at airports. And I hate the word selfie. Any man that uses it needs to reevaluate a lot of their life.”
“I can’t imagine, I can’t get in the mind of a wrestling fan who wants to break news that spoils a surprise for somebody. Would you want a surprise spoiled? Say you saw Sting at the airport and tipped everybody off that Sting was going to make an appearance that night, and then you ruin the surprise for people who went out of the way not to get the surprise ruined. Would you want your surprised ruined? I’d be, “Don’t tell me, don’t tell me who you saw at the airport.” I like to live a spoiler-free life.”
On if that has ever made him wish he wrestled in a different era: “Oh yeah. Professional wrestling as I imagined it when I set out to be a pro wrestler is not the same thing as sports entertainment today. There are times I wished I was in 1983 in the Crockett territory. But the WWE today is also something that’s never been done before. Everything from the WWE network to video games, to be part of something like that and all the craziness that is the WWE today, is also cool to be a part of.
It’s not just a wrestling business now. WWE is an institution in entertainment. It truly is now like the NFL, the brand is there with them. It’s on a level it’s never been before.”
