WWE Storyline Plans for Edge Before His 2011 Retirement

New details have emerged about WWE storyline plans for Edge before his heartbreaking retirement in April 2011.

The Rated R Superstar’s career was cut short abruptly over a decade ago after he was diagnosed with cervical spinal stenosis. In an emotional address to the WWE Universe (seen below), Edge said doctors warned him he risked paralysis or even death should he continue wrestling.

The Toronto native never gave up on his dream to wrestle again. Nine years after stepping away from the ring, he made a shocking return to WWE at the 2020 Royal Rumble.

With Edge pondering retirement once again, this time on his own terms, we’ve now learned about a major angle WWE creative had in store for him in 2011.

Plans for Edge before 2011 Retirement

On the latest episode of his Wrestling With Freddie podcast, former WWE writer Freddie Prinze Jr. shared a storyline he wrote for Edge that wound up getting scrapped.

“I actually wrote the story for Edge that he ended up having to pull out of because he retired. We wrote this whole thing where, and it was creepy because it was kind of actually what happened to him.”

“He wanted to get the belt on Christian, and Christian was gonna turn on Edge. [He was going to] just for weeks, smash him. It was going to be like when Dave Chappelle spoofed Sesame Street. He was going to do something like that, and they were gonna spell the word spine and what each letter stood for. Just mock what he did to this dude’s neck. It was this whole thing.”

“Then Edge ends up actually hurting his neck. He couldn’t do the story. So they just wrapped it around Alberto Del Rio. [Christian] ended up getting [the title] for a day.”

WWE Raw was back in Edge’s home town of Toronto this week. After Raw went off the air, he addressed the crowd and spoke about his plans to retire once and for all in the near future. More on that story (including video of Edge’s speech) here:

Edge May Have Found The Perfect Partner For His Fight Against Judgement Day

It appears that WWE Hall of Famer Edge may have found the perfect partner to help him in his ongoing feud against The Judgement Day after tonight’s Raw.

WWE presented the Red Branded Show from Toronto, Canada this week which is the hometown of former world champion Edge. The wrestling veteran competed in the main event of the show. His wife Beth Phoenix was at the ringside for this bout.

Edge took on Damian Priest in a one-on-one match and defeated the former US champion with a spear. However, the rest of Judgement Day attacked the former world champion after this match.

Phoenix then made the save. She didn’t get physical but still helped fend off the attackers. The show ended with The Judgement Day in retreat.

Will Beth Phoenix Return To The Ring?

Both Edge and The Mysterios have been feuding with Judgement Day for a while now. The latest altercation suggests that this feud is far from over.

The one thing they have been missing, however, is a female star who can help even the odds with the faction of Priest, Finn Balor, and Rhea Ripley.

Beth Phoenix worked as a full-time NXT commentator during the Wednesday Wars era. She left the commentary team in December last year after the development show was rebranded.

If Beth Phoenix does return to the ring against Judgment Day, it won’t be the first time. She joined Edge for a mixed tag match against The Miz and Maryse at Royal Rumble earlier this year as well.

Watch: Edge Makes Massive Career Announcement After Raw In Toronto

WWE Hall of Famer Edge has made a big career announcement and revealed the intention to take retirement from in ring action next year.

This week’s episode of Raw was held in Toronto. It saw the Rated R Superstar battling against Damian Priest in a one-on-one match in the main event of the show.

Edge picked up the victory in this match with a spear. The rest of the Judgement day then attacked the wrestling veteran. Beth Phoenix made the save to end the show.

After the broadcast ended, the former world champion addressed the fans. He first mentioned how his comeback started in Toronto when he hit a spear on Elias during SummerSlam 2019.

Edge Confirms Plans For His Retirement

The Hall of Famer thanked all the fans. Edge then revealed his intention to retire from in ring action when WWE visits Toronto again:

“I can’t wait to hopefully come back one last time here in Toronto. I’ve been looking at the calendar, we usually come here in August. So next August I plan on seeing each and every one of you. And in a perfect world, we all say goodbye to each other that night”

Things can obviously change between now and then but Edge has made it clear that he isn’t planning to continue his wrestling career for long.

Edge made a surprise return to WWE at the 2020 Royal Rumble after nearly nine years away from the ring.

Hip-Hop Superstar Cardi B Tweets About Her Love For Edge and Lita

Cardi B is a big fan of WWE, and an even bigger fan of two WWE Hall of Famers.

The 29-year-old rap sensation took to Twitter to shout out two of the company’s greatest superstars, Edge and Lita. The duo’s relationship was covered on the A&E biography about Edge that recently aired over the weekend.

Cardi writes, “I used to love them….they was such a sexy ass couple …This was truly my wwe era …even tho I was a Trish Stratus girl I used to love this couple.”

Edge and Lita’s relationship on-screen included a live-sex celebration that scored WWE one of their biggest television ratings of the year. However, the relationship quietly ended as their on-screen appearances together eventually faded away.

As for Cardi, this isn’t the first time she has tweeted about her love of pro-wrestling, specifically WWE. Her recent hit “Hot Sh*t” pays homage to the late Jimmy Superfly Snuka, and got her conversing online with Snuka’s daughter Tamina, as well as Natalya. Another of Cardi’s hit songs, “Up,” was used as the theme for SummerSlam 2021 from Las Vegas.

Edge on his Wrestling Career: “The End is in Sight”

At the 2020 Royal Rumble Pay Per View, Edge made his in-ring return, almost nine years after his last match.

It was on the post-WrestleMania 27 Raw in 2011 that Edge announced his in-ring retirement due to neck issues, and it was believed he’d never wrestle again.

Since returning, Edge has feuded with some of WWE’s biggest stars including AJ Styles, Roman Reigns, Randy Orton and Seth Rollins.

The End is Near

Edge’s return to wrestling is nothing short of a miracle, but the WWE Hall of Famer will one-day have to retire all over again.

Speaking with Bleacher Report for a new interview, Edge made it clear he’s well aware that he is on borrowed time.

“I am enjoying and soaking in every moment with the complete realization that it’s going to end soon. I know the end is in sight and I can see it, and because of that, it makes me enjoy it more.”

“I know the end is in sight and I can see it.”

Edge on his return to pro-wrestling.

What’s Left for Edge?

Edge has accomplished plenty throughout his wrestling career, but there are some accolades left for the Rated-R Superstar to tick off his proverbial bucket list.

The WWE Hall of Famer has headlined WrestleMania twice (24 and 37) but is yet to win the final match on WWE’s biggest event of the year.

Edge is also yet to become Universal Champion, something he tried to do in 2021.

More immediately, Edge will compete on tonight’s Raw in his native Toronto, facing Damian Priest.

It is expected that he will compete at next month’s Clash at the Castle.

Edge Confirms Reports About Judgement Day

WWE star Edge has confirmed the reports that him getting kicked out of The Judgement Day wasn’t the original plan for the group.

The Rated R Superstar recently had an interview with Bleacher Report. He talked about things such as Triple H taking over the creative in the company and more.

Speaking about The Judgment Day, the wrestling veteran claimed that he is having a blast working with the group. He also confirmed that they have had to make some changes into the original plans for the faction.

A Fun Direction, Adapting

Edge Backstage

“So far, I’ve had a blast going to work and getting to do a storyline with Priest and Balor and Rhea [Ripley],” he said. “It was kind of floating there for a little while.

Now, it’s getting a direction and that’s really, really fun.” said Edge, “We had to make some changes due to injuries and stuff like that, and you just have to adapt.”

The Hall of Famer was kicked out of The Judgement Day during the June 6 episode of Raw. It was later reported that some creative differences about the presentation of the group led to this change.

Edge has since started a feud with his former protégés. He is currently set to face Damian Priest in a one-on-one match on Monday’s Raw from Toronto.

Edge is the subject of the latest episode of Biography: WWE Legends series on A&E, premiering Sunday night at 8/7c.

Damian Priest Refutes Reports About Edge’s Judgement Day Departure

Damian Priest has refuted a longstanding report about Edge’s departure from The Judgement Day.

Shortly after WWE Hall Of Famer Edge was kicked out of The Judgement Day when he was attacked by Finn Balor and Priest, reports began to circulate regarding the situation. Given that Edge had formed the faction only a few weeks before, many found it strange he was kicked out so soon.

Initial reports suggest that there were creative differences between Edge and Vince McMahon over the direction of the faction. Edge apparently didn’t want the stable to go the supernatural route.

In an interview with Stephanie Chase of Digital Spy, Priest addressed these rumors, shooting them down as inaccurate.

“I guess I understand why people thought that,” Priest said. “I don’t know where the actual rumor came from that that’s what was planned, because it never was.

“If anything, we had conversations of how we didn’t want that and that included Vince [McMahon] himself, who did not want the group to be supernatural-based. We were all in agreement.

“We did some things that seemed that way, I know I did a thing with lightning one night, and the idea wasn’t about supernatural, but it came off that way and then we immediately went, ‘OK, let’s not revisit that because it came off that way’.”

Damien Priest Judgement Day

Currently, Priest and Balor seem to be leading The Judgement Day together. On this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, Priest actually challenged Edge to a singles bout in two weeks.

This is because RAW will be in Edge’s hometown of Toronto, and Priest said he wants to beat the Hall Of Famer in front of his friends and family. Edge has seemingly aligned himself with The Mysterios against The Judgement Day.

It will be interesting to see what creative direction The Judgment Day goes in now that Triple H has assumed creative control within WWE.

Edge Accepts Challenge For Big Match In His Hometown

WWE Hall of Famer Edge has been challenged for a big match on the upcoming WWE Raw episode from Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada on August 22.

This week’s episode of Raw saw Judgement Day member Damian Priest issuing a challenge to the Rated R Superstar. He mentioned how it’s been a while since the wrestling veteran competed on Raw:

“Edge hasn’t wrestled on Monday Night Raw in Toronto in what 12 years? Well, here it is – I’m officially challenging you to a match. One-on-one, you and me. The Rated-R Superstar vs. The Punishment of the Judgment Day. If you still have a set, let’s end this!”

The Canadian star went on to accept the challenge from his former protege on Raw Talk. He mentioned how Priest would call him for advice when he first started in WWE:

The Attitude Era star introduced Finn Balor as the newest member of Judgement Day during the June 6 episode of Raw earlier this year. However, he was kicked out of the group he created not long after this.

Edge stayed off TV for a few weeks to sell the attack. He made his return during the SummerSlam PPV and he has been feuding with the Raw faction ever since.

Edge’s Classic Metalingus Theme Song is Back

Edge has returned to Raw, and so has his classic theme song.

The former world champion made his comeback after several week off at SummerSlam. He entered the arena with a remix of The Brood theme and helped The Mysterios pick up a victory over Judgement Day.

The wrestling veteran then showed up on tonight’s Raw from Toyota Center in Houston. He brought back the ‘Metalingus’ theme by Alter Bridge and received a huge pop. We also got the ‘Rated R Superstar’ announcement for his entrance.

Edge apologized to the fans for being an asshole for the past few months. He created Judgement Day to help young talents and pass on his knowledge.

He said that his proteges thought that they had learned everything they needed. The Attitude Era star then promised to kill what he created: The Judgment Day.

Fans seemed very excited to see Edge reverting back to his old theme song. They took on social media to share their enthusiasm for this change:

This wasn’t the last of Edge we saw on the night. The Usos beat The Mysterios in a unified tag team title match in the main event of the show. The Judgement Day attacked Mysterios after this bout.

Edge tried to make the save. However, he hit Dominik Mysterio with a spear in confusion. The show ended with the Rated R Superstar chasing down Finn Balor and Damian Priest while Dominik recovered in the ring.

Edge Returns at WWE SummerSlam

As expected, Edge made his return to WWE programming at Saturday’s SummerSlam event from Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee, when The Mysterios vs. Finn Balor & Damian Priest in a No DQ Match was happening.

Edge came out to lay out Priest and Balor with spears. This allowed the father and son tag team to go over.

Edge didn’t have the old “Metalingus” song nor continued to use “The Other Side” nor was he back as the Rated-R Superstar gimmick. He had a remixed version of the Brood’s theme music.

Edge was written off television several weeks ago after being attacked by The Judgment Day and replaced by Balor.

Leading up to Edge’s return to television, WWE has been airing vignettes featuring old memorabilia from past rivals such as Randy Orton, John Cena, The Dudley Boyz, and others.

Edge was slated to make his return at Monday’s Raw event from Madison Square Garden, but plans changed. It was reported earlier in the day that the former WWE Champion was backstage at SummerSlam.

Big Spoiler for WWE SummerSlam Tonight

WWE SummerSlam is tonight and the spoilers are pouring in.

The company’s hottest event of the summer goes down inside Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee. There is a lot of buzz around the event and that has certainly been boosted by the fact that there is a new regime in WWE.

This will be the first SummerSlam event without Vince McMahon. Vince resigned from WWE amid an investigation. His daughter, Stephanie McMahon, is now the Chairwoman and co-CEO, a title she shares with Nick Khan.

For hardcore fans of the product, all eyes will be on Triple H now that he is the Head of Creative.

WWE is known for having a few surprises for major events and tonight looks to be no exception.

Edge is in Nashville

PWInsider is reporting that Edge is backstage for SummerSlam.

It had been previously reported by another outlet that Edge was set to return for the July 25 episode of Raw in Madison Square Garden in New York City. WWE ended up altering those travel plans.

It left many to wonder if Edge was being saved for SummerSlam. It looks like we now have our answer.

Edge has been out of action since he was kicked out of his own group, The Judgment Day. Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley ousted Edge in favor of Finn Balor.

Priest put Edge out of commission with a Conchairto.

Tonight, The Judgment Day will take on The Mysterios. This may be the perfect time for Edge to get some payback.

Backstage Update on Edge’s Status for WWE SummerSlam

We have some news to pass along regarding Edge and his status for WWE SummerSlam this weekend.

Initially, it was expected that Edge would make his return to Monday Night RAW on this week’s episode from Madison Square Garden. However, that didn’t happen due to travel plans apparently breaking down.

It’s believed that WWE wanted to bring Edge back this week to set him up for an appearance at SummerSlam this weekend.

Now, Mike Johnson of PWInsider has provided an update on the situation.

Johnson confirmed that both Edge and his wife, WWE Hall Of Famer Beth Phoenix, were slated for RAW this week, but plans changed shortly after news of Vince McMahon’s exit from WWE.

Initial plans did, in fact, have them slated for SummerSlam weekend, but now there’s no word on whether or not that’s still happening or if they’ll hold off on bringing “The Rated-R Superstar” at a later date.

Edge The Judgment Day
(via WWE)

WWE has been teasing the return of Edge for weeks now with several cryptic vignettes. He hasn’t been seen since being betrayed by his fellow Judgement Day stablemates Finn Balor and Damian Priest last month.

It’s certainly possible that Edge could return this Saturday to get his revenge. The Judgement Day (Balor and Priest) are slated to face off against Dominik Mysterio and Rey Mysterio in a No Disqualification Tag Team match.

This would be the perfect opportunity for Edge to interfere and cost Balor and Preist the match. The Mysterios already picked up a big win over Priest and Balor in tag team action on RAW this week.

Latest on When Edge is Expected to Return

This week’s Raw saw the red brand return to Madison Square Garden, but this was hardly the only notable aspect of the show.

The show also served as the go-home Raw before this Saturday’s Summerslam, and marked 20 years since the WWE debut of Rey Mysterio.

Behind the scenes, this week’s Raw was also the first episode of the show in the post-Vince McMahon era.

Edge Doesn’t Show

In the week running up to this week’s Raw, it was reported that Edge would be returning to TV after being betrayed and attacked by The Judgment Day last month.

According to Fightful Select, plans were put in place for Edge to return on Raw, and the company went as far as to have “travel set for him into town.”

It was later reported that “at least one element” of those travel accommodations had been canceled, and Edge did not appear on the show.

When will Edge Return to WWE TV?

For weeks, WWE has been teasing the return of Edge in a series of cryptic vignettes.

While none of the videos have stated they are meant for Edge, fans have deduced that they relate to the WWE Hall of Famer given the imagery and references to some of Edge’s biggest feuds.

After not showing up on Raw, the belief now is that Edge will return at this Saturday’s Summerslam Premium Live Event instead.

On Raw, a match between The Judgment Day and the Mysterios was announced, and the no-disqualification will allow Edge to interfere.

Update on Edge’s Status Ahead of WWE Raw Tonight

A big episode of WWE Monday Night Raw is going down on July 25 and there are rumblings on the status of Edge.

The “Rated-R Superstar” has been out of action since Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley kicked him out of The Judgment Day. Edge was replaced by Finn Balor, who led the charge in ousting the former faction leader.

Priest put Edge out of commission with a Conchairto.

Now, there’s some chatter about whether or not Edge’s planned surprise appearance will come to fruition inside Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Edge’s Travel

Fightful had reported that Edge was factored into plans for the July 25 edition of Raw. It would be his first appearance since June 6.

WWE has been running vignettes teasing Edge’s return.

In an update, however, Fightful has been told that Edge’s travel plans have been altered and there’s no word on how that may impact his planned surprise return tonight.

WWE did not advertise Edge showing up tonight. If he does indeed appear, he’ll likely be going after Balor and Priest.

The Judgment Day members are set to meet Rey and Dominik Mysterio in a tag team match. WWE will be celebrating Rey Mysterio’s 20th anniversary with the company.

Keep it locked on the SEScoops homepage for live coverage of tonight’s episode of WWE Raw.

Edge Returning To WWE TV With His Old Gimmick

Edge is reportedly slated to return to WWE television on next week’s episode of Raw.

On Today’s episode of Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez was asked whether Edge appearing on the show will end up being a swerve with the WWE Hall Of Famer re-joining The Judgment Day stable.

Alvarez said that Rated-R merchandise has already been made for his return.

“I think they’ve already got Rated-R Superstar merch, so I’m pretty sure he’s returning as the Rated-R Superstar. Now what that means as a babyface [or as] a heel, I don’t know. I don’t think he’s coming back to Judgment Day. Especially because he left Judgment Day, he left because he didn’t want to be involved with anything spooky, but then they haven’t done anything spooky [with Judgment Day].”

WWE has been airing vignettes for Edge’s return to TV for weeks, featuring old memorabilia from past rivals such as Randy Orton, John Cena, The Dudley Boyz, and others.

Edge was written off after being attacked by The Judgment Day and replaced by Finn Balor. Considering Edge is returning with his old gimmick, it looks like he will also have his “Metalingus” song instead of continuing to use “The Other Side.”

Backstage Update On Edge’s WWE TV Return (Spoiler)

It looks like Edge will be making his return to WWE television shortly after being kicked out of the Judgment Day faction.

The WWE Hall Of Famer was last seen when he was attacked by Finn Balor, Rhea Ripley, and Damian Priest on the June 6 edition of WWE Raw.

Since Money in the Bank, eerie vignettes have been airing, appearing to point to the return of the Rated-R Superstar, as there have been various items that point to Edge’s past rivals.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reports WWE has internal plans to bring Edge in for the Madison Square Garden WWE Raw event next Monday night. They have yet to confirm whether or not the plan is for Edge to appear on the actual episode.

This will be Raw’s go-home show for SummerSlam, which will air from Nashville’s Nissan Stadium on July 30. WWE is not advertising Edge for the premium live event.

It’s possible WWE books Edge vs. Priest at the event or goes with Edge teaming with Rey Mysterio against Balor and Priest in a tag team match as The Judgment Day has been trying to recruit Dominik Mysterio into their group.

Roman Reigns will defend the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Brock Lesnar in a Last Man Standing bout at SummerSlam.

WWE Reveals “Injury” Update on Edge

WWE has provided a storyline injury on WWE superstar Edge.

Edge had been leading The Judgment Day faction to great success on Monday Night Raw. Together, the faction continued to rack up big wins, including a victory at Hell in a Cell over the team of AJ Styles, Finn Balor, and Liv Morgan.

Despite this, Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley turned on Edge during the June 6 episode of WWE Raw. Priest, Ripley, and new member Balor attacked Edge and kicked him out of the group.

The segment ended with Priest nailing a Conchairto on Edge.

Edge’s Status

During the latest episode of The Bump, WWE announced Edge’s storyline injury. The company claims he suffered a “non-displaced” orbital floor fracture as a result of the attack.

It had been reported by Fightful that Edge was unhappy with WWE’s plans to turn The Judgment Day into a more “supernatural” group.

The report also noted that plans for Edge to be kicked out of the group weren’t finalized until shortly before Raw went on the air.

There had been talks of turning Finn heel before Hell in a Cell but at that point, plans for the group to turn on Edge hadn’t been in place.

PWInsider reported that Edge will be a babyface going forward.

Edge Wasn’t Happy With The Judgment Day Change (Report)

It appears Edge was none too pleased with the direction of The Judgment Day.

The seeds had been planted for a new faction led by Edge at WrestleMania 38. Damian Priest cost AJ Styles his match against Edge after interfering.

Eventually, Edge added Rhea Ripley to the group. Finn Balor ended up joining as well on the June 6 episode of WWE Raw but The Judgment Day turned on Edge and took him out of commission.

Edge Opposed Change in Direction

Fightful is reporting that WWE began to go in the direction of turning the faction into something “supernatural.” It’s been said that Edge did not like this idea at all.

WWE ultimately decided to go in this direction shortly before this week’s Raw went on the air.

The report also noted that there were discussions to turn Finn Balor heel before Hell in a Cell. At that point, there hadn’t been any mention of The Judgment Day turning on Edge.

Edge will be a babyface going forward according to PWInsider.

Major WWE Superstar Reportedly Turns Babyface

One major WWE Superstar has reportedly turned babyface after this week’s Monday Night RAW.

As seen yesterday on RAW, WWE Hall Of Famer Edge is out of The Judgement Day Faction. Finn Balor was introduced as the newest member of the group, before the trio attacked Edge and kicked him out.

Balor has seemingly been positioned as the faction’s new leader. PWInsider reports that the attack on Edge has led WWE to move Edge over to the “babyface” side of their internal roster.

This comes quite close to the announcement that Cody Rhodes, previously the top babyface on RAW, was announced to need surgery, and will be sidelined for some time. Rhodes will undergo surgery Wednesday, and his recovery time is expected to be around six months.

As for The Judgement Day, the faction of Edge, Damian Priest, and Rhea Ripley defeated Balor, AJ Styles, and Liv Morgan at the Hell In A Cell premium event over the weekend, with Balor taking the pinfall.

However, Balor joined the faction the following night, before joining Priest in attacking Edge and kicking him out of the group. To close out RAW, Rhea Ripley picked up a Fatal Four-Way win to earn the next shot at the RAW Women’s Title against Bianca Belair at Money In The Bank.

Since kicking out Edge, Balor and Priest have been taunting “The Rated-R Superstar” on social media. Edge has yet to comment on the betrayal as of this writing.

The Judgement Day started at WrestleMania 38 when Damian Priest assisted Edge in picking up a win over AJ Styles at “The Show Of Shows.”

Finn Balor Joins Judgment Day, Edge Kicked Out Of The Group

As advertised, Edge revealed the latest member of The Judgment Day faction on Monday Night Raw and it’s Finn Balor. However, there was a twist.

Edge, Rhea Ripley, and Damian Priest came out to the ring for a promo. Edge talked about how proud he is of them and says Rhea is a superstar wrecking machine. He said Priest has confidence like no other because they listened. He introduced the newest member of the group, which was Balor.

At Sunday’s Hell in a Cell pay-per-view event, Judgment Day went over AJ Styles, Balor, and Liv Morgan in a six-person tag team match.

Edge said Balor reached out and put Balor over for being so great. Edge wanted to know what made Balor change his mind. Balor said he saw clarity after Hell in a Cell and joining the group was a calling that he refuses to fight because he’s tired of pretending who he is.

Priest said they were finally to let go of what was the last thing holding them back, which was Edge. They beat down Edge and kicked him out of the group. Edge was seemingly written off TV after Priest hit him with a chair.

Over the last few weeks, The WWE Hall Of Famer has been teasing that the group would be getting another member and hinted at several different names including Ciampa, Paige, Beth Phoenix, and Corey Graves.

Kevin Owens Mocks Edge for Teasing new Members of The Judgement Day

Kevin Owens has poked fun at Edge’s recent teases for a fourth member of The Judgement Day.

On social media, the WWE Hall of Famer has teased several possible members to the faction, including Ciampa, Bayley, and Corey Graves.

Edge has also teased AJ Styles, Finn Balor, and Liv Morgan, all of whom The Judgement Day is currently feuding against.

With some tweets of his own, Owens shared images of cats, and like Edge, gave no caption for the image.

What’s next for The Judgement Day?

The Judgement Day has proven to be a formidable force since debuting earlier this year, but it has been reported that the group will gain a fourth member.

While Edge is teasing several names, it’s been reported that Finn Balor will be the next to join the group, presumably turning on Styles and Morgan.

The Judgement Day is the latest faction for Edge, who was once part of The Undertaker’s Ministry of Darkness and ran his own faction ‘La Familia’ from 2007 to 2008.

There’s no confirmation on when the fourth member of The Judgement Day will be revealed on WWE TV.

Corey Graves Teases Joining The Judgment Day

The Judgment Day has been trying to find its next member and Corey Graves is considering joining the faction.

The faction is led by Edge and he’s aligned himself with Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley. The group is currently in a feud with AJ Styles, Finn Balor, and Liv Morgan.

Edge has been trying to recruit all of them but the one name who seems to stand out to him is AJ.

With that said, the former “Rated-R Superstar” has namedropped several others. One of those names he has mentioned is WWE Raw commentator Corey Graves.

Graves used to be an active competitor before concussions forced him to retire. Graves has been cleared to compete since that time but he’s remained at the commentary desk given his success over the years.

With that said, during the May 23 episode of Raw, Corey Graves admitted joining Edge’s stable is something he has to consider.

Following Raw, Graves took to his Twitter account and teased joining The Judgment Day with a single image.

Edge Teases Paige as the Next Member of The Judgement Day

Former WWE Divas Champion Paige could become the next member of The Judgement Day if a recent tease by Edge is to be believed.

The Judgement Day was founded by Edge at WrestleMania 38 where he aligned with Damian Priest and welcomed Rhea Ripley into the faction at WrestleMania Backlash.

On Twitter, Edge shared an image of Paige causing fans to speculate that she will be the next member to join the faction.

Edge also recently shared an image of Ciampa, who is also rumored to be joining The Judgement Day.

Will Paige wrestle again?

A former Divas Champion and the first-ever NXT Women’s Champion, Paige hasn’t wrestled since a WWE Live Event in Uniondale, New York on December 27, 2017.

Paige formally retired from wrestling on the post-WrestleMania 34 Raw on April 9, 2018.

Despite this, Paige has remained with the company in various roles and has said that she’s not yet finished with in-ring competition.

Earlier this year, Paige was trending on Twitter as fans speculated about her involvement in the Women’s Royal Rumble match given the multiple returns associated with the match.

Paige ultimately did not return in the match which was won by the returning Ronda Rousey.

Edge Drops Big Tease On Potential New Member Of The Judgment Day

Edge may have found the newest member of The Judgment Day.

Since starting his own faction, the former “Rated-R Superstar” has been on a roll. He has enlisted Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley to The Judgment Day.

During the May 9 episode of Monday Night Raw, he said there’s room for another member.

Is Ciampa Bound For The Judgment Day?

WWE fans online have been pushing for Ciampa to join The Judgment Day. It’s clear that Edge has heard the feedback and he dropped a big tease on Twitter:

Of course, this could just be Edge stirring the pot. With that said, adding Ciampa may not be such a bad idea since he seems to have gone heel since being brought up to the main roster.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio reported that Edge had wanted Harland to join his faction. The only problem is that Harland ended up being released from his NXT contract.

During the May 16 episode of Raw, Edge made an offer to AJ Styles, Finn Balor, and Liv Morgan to join his group. He urged the three to strongly consider the offer and insisted it isn’t too late.

Edge said that if his offer is turned down, then The Judgment Day will continue to make their time on Raw miserable.

WWE Reportedly has a List of Talent Approved to get Haircuts

WWE Hall of Famer Edge changed up his haircut recently, but only because he was allowed to by the promotion.

On the post-WrestleMania Backlash Raw, Edge debuted his new shorter hairdo in a segment where The Judgment Day accepted Rhea Ripley as their newest member.

According to a new report from Fightful, WWE has a specific list of Superstars who are allowed to change their hair in a noticeable way.

In addition to Edge, Becky Lynch is allowed to change her hair, as fans saw during the build-up to WrestleMania 38.

On the March 28, 2022, edition of Raw, Bianca Belair cut Lynch’s hair during an in-ring brawl and “Big Time Becks” has been working with a new haircut ever since.

The full list of talent who are allowed to change their hair is as follow:
