Bronson Reed Missed Elimination Chamber 2024 For The Birth Of His Child

WWE fans were taken by surprise when superstar Bronson Reed failed to qualify for the Men’s Elimination Chamber match on February 24. The Australian native expressed interest in competing at the premium live event but missed the opportunity. During WWE Elimination Chamber, Reed shared that WWE was initially planned to be on the show.

On Twitter, Reed revealed his original involvement at WWE Elimination Chamber and why he’s thankful he wasn’t on the show.

“…Originally, I was set to be at #WWEChamber. It would have been an incredible moment. Unfortunately, plans changed,” wrote Reed. He added, “But everything happens for a reason. My wife and I have had our baby early, I was supposed to miss the PLE to make sure I’m here for my family. Thank you for all your support. To all my friends and family who have reached out.
To
@TripleH
for guiding me.”

It’s worth noting that Reed didn’t exactly share why plans changed for him not to be competing at the PLE. However, it has allowed him to be around for the birth of his child.

Triple H (and many others) congratulated Big Bronson Reed on the blessing of becoming a parent.

Reed lost his opportunity in a match to Bobby Lashley to qualify for the Men’s Elimination Chamber match on the February 12 episode of Monday Night Raw. It’s unclear if WWE may have had another featured match that Reed could’ve been involved in at the event. However, he isn’t involved in a storyline or a feud, so it seems unlikely.

What’s Next For Bronson Reed?

Although Reed has missed out on competing at the PLE in Perth, Australia, he could still be in the picture for a match at WWE WrestleMania 40 in April. The two-night event allows for more opportunities for superstars to be on the card.

WWE also has the annual Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, which he could be involved with. However, the match has occurred the day before WWE WrestleMania in recent years, so it’s unclear if that will happen again this year.

Despite his current situation, Reed still has a bright career in WWE. Fans may be disappointed that he wasn’t on the WWE Elimination Chamber card. However, thankfully, he was around to be with his wife and newborn child.

Elimination Chamber 2024: Becky Lynch Wins WrestleMania Title Shot

The 2024 Elimination Chamber event kicked off in Perth, Australia with the women’s match. The winner of the contest punched their ticket to WrestleMania in a Women’s World Title match. Now, we know who will go on to battle at the show of shows.

The 2024 Women’s Elimination Chamber Match

Liv Morgan, Naomi, Tiffany Stratton, Raquel Rodriguez, Becky Lynch, and Bianca Belair battled in the 2024 Women’s Elimination Chamber match. Naomi and Lynch started off the match as the final two competitors who were introduced into the match.

This year’s Elimination Chamber match marked a first for both Becky Lynch and Tiffany Stratton, who was the third woman in the match, as her pod was released first. Stratton got to work immediately with some gymnastics and quick offense.

After trading some moves and some near falls, Lynch, Naomi, and Stratton were joined by Liv Morgan for the 5th Elimination Chamber match of her career. Morgan got right to work by ramming Stratton’s head against chamber pods to take her out for a moment.

Then, in a shocking move, Tiffany Stratton was able to get Naomi with a roll-up pin to take her out of the match, just before Raquel Rodriguez was released into the chamber. Rodriguez came in with a lot of energy, and she took her aggression out on Stratton at first.

Finally, Bianca Belair was the 6th entrant in the match, and she went right to work on Tiffany Stratton first as well. Stratton did some selling outside as the EST of WWE went in the ring to start punishing her competitors.

One spot saw Liv Morgan land a seated senton off the pod. Then Tiffany Stratton and Becky Lynch started battling on top of the pod before Lynch was knocked off. This was followed by Stratton launching herself off the pod to hit a swanton on Bianca, Lynch and Rodriguez for a huge pop and a “This is Awesome” chant.

Stratton was eliminated next by Liv Morgan, and that drew boos from the Australian crowd. They also chanted “bullsh*t” as Stratton left. This was followed by Rodriguez getting trapped in a Dis-Arm-Her from Lynch, but she got out. Then she ate a KOD from Bianca Belair for a pinfall.

Women’s Elimination Chamber 2024 Match Finish

Bianca, Liv, and Becky were the final three in the match. They continued this match as a triple threat, with plenty of reversals and some near falls for everyone. Then, Morgan was able to pin Bianca Belair with a roll-up pin. Suddenly, Lynch nailed a Man-Handle Slam on Morgan and won the match.

Now, Becky Lynch will go on to WrestleMania 40 for a Women’s World Championship match. She will either face Rhea Ripley or Nia Jax for the title, depending on who wins the title match later on in the show.

What’s Next For WrestleMania 40

WrestleMania 40 takes place from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on April 6 and 7. Before Elimination Chamber went down, Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes and Bayley vs IYO Sky were the only two confirmed matches for the show of shows.

Elimination Chamber 2024: WWE Stars Entertain At Rowdy Perth Press Conference

The Superstars of WWE certainly put on a show at this week’s press conference ahead of the Elimination Chamber: Perth event.

The February 24, Premium Live Event will be WWE’s first PLE in Australia since 2018. Understandably, the excitement in Perth is at a fever pitch ahead of tomorrow’s show. The show will feature two Elimination Chamber matches, with the Men’s and Women’s winners challenging for the World Heavyweight and Women’s World Championships at WrestleMania 40.

Elimination Chamber Press Conference

Some of WWE’s top Superstars made their presence felt at the press conference. World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins led the Aussie crowd in trashing The Rock. Rollins & Cody Rhodes will be guests on the Grayson Waller Effect tomorrow

Things got heated between Men’s Chamber participants Kevin Owens and U.S. Champion Logan Paul which resulted in Triple H having to step in.

Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair, both of whom will compete in the Women’s Chamber Match, also came face-to-face in a tense stare down.

WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley certainly had the crowd on her side when she came face-to-face with her upcoming opponent Nia Jax.

And finally, Australia’s own Rhea Ripley and Grayson Waller celebrated WWE coming to Perth with the Australian good-luck tradition of doing a ‘Shoey.’

WWE Elimination Chamber: Perth

Here is the card for WWE Elimination Chamber: Perth as it currently stands:

WWE Elimination Chamber 2024 Preview: Final Match Card, Special Start Time

Elimination Chamber 2024 goes down this Saturday, from Optus Stadium in Perth, Western Australia. Wrestling fans can stream the show live on Peacock. The special start time is 5 a.m. ET / 2 a.m. PT.

This is the final WWE PLE on the road to WrestleMania, just 42 days later. When all is said and done in Perth, we’ll have a much better idea of where things stand as the Road to WrestleMania kicks into high gear.

After Elimination Chamber, the #1 contenders and WrestleMania challengers will be determined for Seth Rollins’ World Heavyweight Championship and Rhea Ripley’s Women’s World Championship.

Seth Rollins and Rhea Ripley will be watching this year’s Chamber matches closely

That’s what’s assured going into the event, but we will probably learn more than that. Cody Rhodes and Rollins will guest on the Grayson Waller Effect. Rollins has been directly involved in Rhodes’ ongoing feud with the new and improved Bloodline. The four men are also the focal point of the big-budget WrestleMania 40 trailer

Rhodes will attempt to finish his story against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, while Rollins is expected to face the winner of the men’s Chamber match. If WWE is planning to somehow incorporate Rollins into a match with Cody and the Bloodline, Waller’s show would be an ideal venue to set it up.

Match Card

There are four matches on the main card, plus one match on the kickoff show.

Kickoff Show (4 a.m. ET / 1 a.m. PT.)

  • Candice LaRae and Indi Hartwell vs The Kabuki Warriors for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship

Real-Life Pirates Affected Elimination Chamber Cage’s Journey To Perth

Believe it or not, actual pirates are the reason why the WWE Elimination Chamber cage had to change course during its journey to Perth, Australia.

The WWE Elimination Chamber Press Event took place at the Optus Stadium in Perth on February 23. It featured names such as the company’s Chief Content Officer Triple H, Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley, World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, Randy Orton, Grayson Waller, United States Champion Logan Paul, and more.

Michael Cole revealed to the Australian crowd at the event that the Elimination Chamber structure had to go through its own trials and tribulations to make it Perth.

“A structure which took over a month to get here,” Cole said. “Originally it was supposed to ship through the Suez Canal, but pirates ended those plans. So it was sent to Miami, transported via truck to Los Angeles, taken by ship to Sydney, and then by train to Perth.”

It fortunately did manage to get to the city in time, and we will see it at Elimination Chamber: Perth PLE this weekend.

Elsewhere at the Press Event, Logan Paul got into an altercation with Kevin Owens after the two exchanged some heated words. Randy Orton and Triple H had to separate the two.

The Press Event concluded with a shoey from Waller and Ripley. For the uninitiated, a “shoey” is a popular practice in Australia where you drink liquid from a shoe. The two native stars honored the tradition in front of a delighted Australian crowd by downing a couple of beers from their shoes.

Triple H Meets With Impressive Tryout Athletes Ahead Of WWE Elimination Chamber: Perth

Watch: Grayson Waller & Rhea Ripley End WWE Elimination Chamber: Perth Press Conference with Shoey

Australia’s own Grayson Waller & Rhea Ripley capped off the WWE Elimination Chamber: Perth press conference with some homegrown fun known as ‘Shoey.’

The February 24, Premium Live Event will be WWE’s first PLE in Australia since 2018. Understandably, the excitement in Perth is at a fever pitch ahead of tomorrow’s show. The show will feature two Elimination Chamber matches, both with WrestleMania-sized repercussions.

Shoey Fun

In the closing moments of the WWE Elimination Chamber: Perth press conference, Rhea Ripley and Grayson Waller helped pump up the fans for tomorrow’s event. The pair decided to end the event with an Australian tradition, that being Shoey. The pair drank a couple of beers from shoes, much to the delight of the fans.

https://twitter.com/WWE/status/1760894170577744134

What is Shoey?

Shoey is a tradition of drinking from a shoe, which has historically been seen as a celebration of good fortune. This concept dates as far back as the Middle Ages. This isn’t the first Shoey in WWE history. After his victory in the Iron Survivor Challenge at NXT Deadline 2022, Waller celebrated his win with a Shoey.

What’s Next?

Grayson Waller and Rhea Ripley will both have significant roles at WWE Elimination Chamber: Perth. Ripley will defend her Women’s World Championship against Nia Jax and will no doubt receive a huge ovation from her fellow Aussies.

As for Waller, he will host his Grayson Waller Effect with Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes as his guests. The World Heavyweight Champion and the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble winner recently formed an uneasy pact against the might of The Bloodline, which recently officially welcomed The Rock into its ranks.

WWE Elimination Chamber: Perth

Here is the card for WWE Elimination Chamber: Perth as it currently stands:

  • Kick-off Show: The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) (c) vs. Indi Hartwell and Candice LeRae (WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships)
  • The Judgment Day (Finn Bálor and Damian Priest) (c) vs. New Catch Republic (Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate) (Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships)
  • Becky Lynch vs. Bianca Belair vs. Liv Morgan vs. Tiffany Stratton vs. Naomi vs. Raquel Rodriguez (Elimination Chamber Match for a WWE Women’s World Championship match at WWE WrestleMania 40)
  • Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Nia Jax (WWE Women’s World Championship)
  • Drew McIntyre vs. Randy Orton vs. Bobby Lashley vs. LA Knight vs. Kevin Owens vs. Logan Paul (Elimination Chamber Match for a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at WWE WrestleMania 40)

Triple H Confirms The Rock’s Status For Elimination Chamber 2024

The Rock lightly teased that he’d fly down to Australia to lay the smackdown on Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes and Triple H wanted to make Dwayne Johnson’s status perfectly clear for the fans down under.

Speaking on the Xav & Michelle Show, Triple H let the people know that “The People’s Champ” would in fact not be in attendance for Elimination Chamber.

“You are not (going to see The Rock at Elimination Chamber). I’m not gonna spin that because I don’t want people expecting that and not see that. This show will be spectacular and nobody will miss The Rock. As this all came to be, his schedule is quite tight as you can imagine. So we have him for a lot of events, unfortunately, this was not one of them.”

The Rock may not be in Perth but the star power is powerful for Elimination Chamber. In addition to Triple H, it appears that Australia will get a special appearance from The Undertaker at some point during the PLE. Plus, major names like Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins are lined up for a Grayson Waller Effect segment. Additionally, Becky Lynch, Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, LA Knight and Randy Orton are all on hand to compete on the card.

Rhea Ripley will more than likely get a “Rock” like reaction as the Women’s World Champion is returning to her home country to defend gold against Nia Jax.

The absense of The Rock will be somewhat bittersweet considering his recent return to his 1998 aura. This past Friday on WWE SmackDown The Rock took some specific verbal jabs at Salt Lake City, so one could only imagine that he would have some gems in store for the people in Perth.

7-Figure Tax Credit From US City Hints At Location for WWE SummerSlam 2024

WWE is currently on the ‘Road to WrestleMania’ as the company prepares for its biggest event of the year. That said, fans have also been interested in when the company will announce where WWE SummerSlam will be located.

The annual Summer event is expected to occur this August, but WWE has yet to provide more information. However, Cleveland, Ohio, has been rumored to be the host of ‘The Biggest Party of the Summer.’

Cleveland Scene’s Vince Grzegorek reports that WWE was awarded a $1.6 million tax credit from the Ohio Department of Development last week. While the company has yet to confirm, this hints towards Cleveland, Ohio, being this year’s WWE SummerSlam location.

“…WWE was awarded $1.6 million in credits for an unspecified TV series, but with rumors continuing to build since last year that Cleveland would be the home for WWE’s second-biggest pay-per-view event, it seems more than plausible that the credit is for SummerSlam,” said the report.

WWE has held events at stadiums for WWE SummerSlam for the last three years. If the company continues the trend, the event will likely occur either at the Cleveland Browns Stadium or Progressive Field.

The company has tickets on sale for two events in August, including WWE Bash In Berlin at the Mercedes Benz Arena in Berlin, Germany, on August 31. WWE SummerSlam will likely occur within the first two weeks of the month. ‘The Biggest Party of the Summer, ‘ which takes place earlier in August, would allow the company to build towards their first premium live event in Germany.

Current Ticket Status For WWE Elimination Chamber

On February 24, WWE will head to Perth, Australia, for the WWE Elimination Chamber. The event will occur at the Optus Stadium and looks far from sold out.

WrestleTix reported on February 19 that 46,242 tickets had been sold and had 2,867 left available. While impressive, Optus Stadium could have a capacity of 60,000. It’s worth noting that the structure of the elimination chamber could have resulted in fewer seats being available. However, the event tickets have not sold quickly and successfully as other events like WWE WrestleMania 40 or even WWE Royal Rumble.

This weekend’s event won’t shatter attendance records the Optus Stadium has had previously, but it is still great. An announcement for WWE SummerSlam in Cleveland, Ohio, could continue WWE’s hot streak of impressive turnouts for their 2024 live event schedule.

WWE trademark name for Pete Dunne & Tyler Bate Tag Team

The newly formed tag team of Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate is on the rise in WWE. Dunne and Bate joined forces on the main roster last month and quickly became tag team title contenders. Ahead of their championship opportunity at WWE Elimination Chamber on February 24, WWE has filed a trademark for their official tag team name.

Dunne and Bate will go by the tag team name New Catch Republic moving forward. The trademark for the same was registered on February 18,

Bate initially revealed the name on the February 16 episode of WWE Friday Night Smackdown. In a backstage interview with Kayla Braxton, Dunne and Bate spoke about their match against The Judgement Day (Finn Balor & Damian Priest) for the WWE Raw and Smackdown Tag Team Championship at WWE Elimination Chamber. After the ‘Bruiserweight’ shared the team’s goal of winning the titles, Bate introduced the New Catch Republic, to which Dunne nodded his approval.

Afterward, Dominick Mysterio interrupted their interview to set up a tag team match alongside JD McDonagh against the New Catch Republic. The match will occur on a taped WWE Friday Night Smackdown episode on February 23. WWE’s decision to have the match is a way to build momentum for the newly formed tag team ahead of their bout against Balor and Priest.

More On The Judgement Day vs. New Catch Republic At WWE Elimination Chamber

The upcoming premium live event presents an excellent opportunity for the New Catch Republic to showcase their skills against the tag team champions. Since becoming a team, Dunne and Bate have impressed WWE fans and added a new level of interest in the tag division.

That said, Balor and Priest are seemingly the favorites to retain their titles at WWE Elimination Chamber. Although the tag titles are set to be defended this Saturday, the company seems to already be teasing R-Truth and The Miz as possible future challengers for Balor and Priest.

The Judgement Day has held the tag championship since the October 16 WWE Monday Night Raw episode last year. Since then, they have only defended their belts four times but have looked dominant everytime they have put the titles on the line.

The new Catch Republic vs. The Judgement Day still has the potential to be one of the best matches at the upcoming premium live event. While they may not win, an excellent showing for Dunne and Bate could garner more fan attention and make WWE consider featuring them more on TV.

WWE Elimination Chamber Stage Already Under Construction In Perth, Australia

The 2024 Elimination Chamber event is going down on February 24th in Perth, Australia. They have a big show in store, and the stage is already being set in Opus Stadium.

The Chamber Set-Up

Opus Stadium in Perth, Australia boasts a capacity of 70,000 seats, and WWE plans to utilize 55,000. We will have to see how the stadium looks as it is full of WWE fans, but we already have a look at the set-up for the event.

Given that Opus Stadium is an open-air venue, attendees can anticipate an energetic atmosphere for the show. The stage setup for the Elimination Chamber is already well underway and nearing completion within days.

The staging is already being set in the stadium. They might not have a ton up already, but this is a great start. A photo is now circulating showing off exactly how much they had constructed as of last night.

WWE Elimination Chamber Start Time

The 2024 Elimination Chamber event will start at 5:00 AM EST. This might be a very early day for fans in America, but it will give those Australian fans a chance to catch some unforgettable action.

This event will be the last stop on the road to WrestleMania XL, an event that no Superstar wants to miss.

At the Elimination Chamber event in Perth, Australia, several matches are set to unfold. The Judgment Day, represented by Finn Bálor and Damian Priest, will defend their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship against challengers Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate from New Catch Republic. In one of the Chamber match, Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan, Tiffany Stratton, Naomi, and the winner of a last-chance Battle Royal will compete for a shot at the Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania XL.

Rhea Ripley will defend her Women’s World Championship against Nia Jax in a singles match. Additionally, Drew McIntyre, Randy Orton, Bobby Lashley, LA Knight, Kevin Owens, and Logan Paul will face off in an Elimination Chamber match for the opportunity to challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XL.

SEScoops will have continued coverage of the Elimination Chamber as more information is made available.

LA Knight Calls Out Seth Rollins After Qualifying For Elimination Chamber

LA Knight is tired of hearing of his own hype and wants to put his money where his mouth is.

Before he took on Ivar on WWE Raw in hopes to qualify for Elimination Chamber, LA Knight had gold on his mind, but after Monday, he got one step closer when defeating the Viking Raider.

Knight will join Drew McIntyre, Randy Orton and Bobby Lashley in the Elimination Chamber, but had someone specific in mind when speaking with Cathy Kelley on “Raw Talk” after his win.

However, Knight first made perfectly clear he isn’t looking for praise before Perth. He may have won the Slim Jim battle royal and challenged Roman Reigns, but that amounts to nothing as he looks ahead.

“What do I really have to hang my hat yet on at this point? What do I have to sink my teeth into just yet and I say a big fat goose egg!

“Save the congratulations. Give me the congratulations when I walk out of Elimination Chamber the number one contender for that World Heavyweight Championship and then congratulate me two times when we get to WrestleMania and I take it off of Seth Freakin’ Rollins. Nice middle name ya got there, pal, but what you’re gonna to call yourself after that is ‘former’ Champion because right now you’re looking at the future Champion.”

This past Friday on SmackDown, Knight happened to cost AJ Styles his qualifying match against Drew McIntyre when he interfered and it opened up Styles for a Claymore Kick and a 1-2-3.

Nia Jax Is Rhea Ripley’s Next Challenger, Women’s Elimination Chamber Qualifiers

Coming off her victory in the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble match, Bayley was tasked with choosing her opponent for WrestleMania 40. While initially eyeing WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley, Bayley ultimately decided to challenge her now former ally, WWE Women’s Champion IYO SKY

With Bayley vs. IYO SKY locked in, WWE announced that the WrestleMania challenger for the WWE Women’s World Championship will determined inside the Elimination Chamber later this month. So far, one woman has qualified for this grueling match stipulation.

On Monday’s WWE RAW, Becky Lynch and Shayna Baszler competed in the first qualifying matchup, making a callback to their WrestleMania 36 clash over the RAW Women’s Championship. Despite a valiant effort, Baszler’s fate would repeat itself, as Lynch defeated her with a Manhandle Slam to claim the first spot in the Women’s Elimination Chamber match.

Next week, Liv Morgan and Zoey Stark will battle to secure the second slot. Ahead of their qualifier, Morgan delivered a backstage promo, highlighting her six-month absence from WWE programming due to injury. Now that she is cleared to compete again, Morgan is not only eager to challenge Ripley for the WWE Women’s World Championship, but also to enact some revenge on her for taking her out of action last July.

Rhea Ripley To Defend Women’s World Championship At Elimination Chamber

Before she can get to WrestleMania, Rhea Ripley has one obstacle in front of her — a title defense at Elimination Chamber.

During tonight’s episode, WWE RAW General Manager Adam Pearce informed Ripley that she will put the WWE Women’s World Championship on the line against Nia Jax at the upcoming premium live event. This title match was made after Jax recently unleashed a pair of attacks on Ripley.

Should Ripley retain her championship there, she will then move on to face the winner of the Women’s Elimination Chamber in a title match at WrestleMania 40.

The 2024 Elimination Chamber PLE will emanate from the Optus Stadium in Perth Australia, airing live on February 24.

Cody Rhodes Set for Elimination Chamber: Perth, Rhea Ripley Wants Title Chamber Match

Cody Rhodes’ road to WrestleMania will see the American Nightmare travel to Perth, Australia for this month’s WWE Elimination Chamber event.

The February 24, show will be WWE’s first Premium Live Event in Australia in over five years. The Optus Stadium will play host to the event, though no matches have been confirmed at this time. On Twitter, Rhodes shared his schedule for February and confirmed that he will be at Elimination Chamber: Perth.

Fans hoping to see Rhodes earlier than Elimination Chamber won’t have to wait long. Despite being a Raw Superstar, the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble winner is being advertised for tonight’s episode of SmackDown in Birmingham, Alabama.

Rhea Ripley Wants an Elimination Chamber Match

Few Superstars will receive a bigger reaction when WWE travels down under than Rhea Ripley, who is a proud Australian. In a recent interview with Sam Roberts, Ripley spoke about the possibility of defending her WWE Women’s World Championship inside the Elimination Chamber.

“I’d be down for it. I’ve done it before. Let’s be honest here. I love a bit of brutality. Give me some steel. Give me some weapons. Give me some pods. I don’t care. I love all that stuff. I live for this.”

Ripley does have a small history inside the Elimination Chamber. She competed inside the barbaric structure in 2022, but failed to win the match. The Eradicator would eliminate former ally Nikki A.S.H. in the match before being eliminated herself by eventual winner Bianca Belair.

Former WWE Superstar Spotted at Elimination Chamber 2023

Last weekend’s Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event proved to be a hit with fans, and one member of the crowd knew all about being in a WWE ring.

The February 18, event saw WWE return to Montreal, the host of the infamous Montreal Screwjob, in WWE’s first PLE in the city since Breaking Point in September 2009.

The main event saw Montreal’s own Sami Zayn face Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, but the Canadian became the latest victim of the Tribal Chief.

JTG

An estimated 17,271 fans filled Montreal’s Bell Centre in the hopes of Sami winning the big one, including former WWE Superstar JTG.

On Twitter, the Cryme Tyme alum shared a selfie during Zayn’s entrance, adding that watching WWE live made him feel like a kid again.

Debuting on WWE’s main roster in 2006 alongside the late Shad Gaspard, Cryme Tyme proved to be a hit with fans, though never won Tag Team Gold.

After a surprise release in September 2007, the pair were rehired in March 2008 and feuded with each other briefly upon Shad’s heel turn in 2010.

JTG After WWE

For years, an ongoing joke among wrestling fans was that JTG avoided being released, but the rarely-seen Superstar’s luck ran out on June 12, 2014.

After his release, JTG would reunite with Shad (who had been released years earlier) as Crime Time, changing the name slightly to be legally distinct from WWE.

Following Shad’s tragic passing in 2020, JTG would make appearances for Game Changer Wrestling and VxS Wrestling, before making his NWA debut in June 2021.

In April 2022, JTG made a one-night return to WWE as part of Shad’s posthumous induction into the WWE Hall of Fame as a Warrior Award recipient.

Asuka Makes WWE History with Elimination Chamber 2023 Victory

The Empress of Tomorrow Asuka is heading back to the Raw Women’s Championship picture after a historic victory inside the Elimination Chamber.

Asuka bested Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Nikki Cross, Carmella, and Natalya to earn a shot at Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 39.

The Japanese Superstar had been considered a favorite to win by many entering the match, following her return to action at last month’s Royal Rumble, where she was the penultimate woman eliminated from the Women’s Rumble match.

History Maker

Asuka’s seven-year career with WWE has seen her accomplish many historic feats, including surpassing Bill Goldberg’s undefeated steak with a streak of her own from 2015 to 2018.

With her win inside the Chamber, Asuka has now become the first woman to win an Elimination Chamber, a Royal Rumble match, and a Money in the Bank ladder match.

The Empress of Tomorrow won the very first Women’s Royal Rumble match in 2018, entering at #25 and scoring three eliminations.

In 2020, Asuka added the Money in the Bank briefcase to her collection of accolades, winning the cinematic match at Titan Towers.

Asuka would not cash in a contract though, as on the post-MITB Raw, it was revealed that the match had been for the Raw Women’s Championship, which had been vacated by the pregnant Becky Lynch.

Asuka at WrestleMania

While Asuka made an impact for the first three years of her career by remaining undefeated, WrestleMania has not been kind to the Empress.

Asuka’s first loss in WWE would come via submission to Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 34, and Asuka would be eliminated from the Women’s Battle Royal the following year.

At WrestleMania 36, the Kabuki Warriors lost the WWE Women’s Tag Titles to Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross, and Asuka’s reign with the Raw Women’s title ended at WrestleMania 37.

Asuka was not used for WrestleMania 38, and remains winless at WWE’s biggest event of the year.

Current WWE Elimination Chamber Betting Odds

As WWE revs up for Elimination Chamber this Saturday, the betting odds are in.

So far, four matches have been announced for the Montreal, Quebec, Canada pay-per-view, with a bout between Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar likely becoming official tonight on RAW.

Of the two titles on the line at Elimination Chamber, neither are favored to change hands. However, the margin of odds for Austin Theory retaining the United States Championship remain close, with Seth “Freakin” Rollins lingering as a close contender right behind him.

As Bianca Belair looks to lock in her WrestleMania 39 opponent, one name has emerged as the heavy favorite to claim the title of number one contender inside the chamber structure this weekend. 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble winner Rhea Ripley looks to secure some momentum heading into her WrestleMania 39 match against Charlotte Flair. Before she vies for the SmackDown Women’s Championship, Ripley will team with fellow Judgement Day member Finn Balor to take on WWE Hall of Famers Edge and Beth Phoenix in a mixed tag team match on the February 18 event.

Latest on the Status of The Usos for WWE Elimination Chamber 2023

The Usos may be making an appearance at WWE Elimination Chamber after all, despite previous travel restrictions due to legal issues.

This weekend’s event will be WWE’s first Premium Live Event in the Great White North since Breaking Point 2009 and will be headlined by Roman Reigns Vs. Sami Zayn.

The event will take place in Zayn’s hometown of Montreal, Quebec, and will also feature two Elimination Chamber matches for the U.S. title, and for a shot at the Raw Women’s Championship.

The Usos

During the latest episode of SmackDown, Paul Heyman said that the Usos will be watching next week’s SmackDown and Elimination Chamber from home.

Many saw this as WWE’s way to write off the brothers, who have faced travel restrictions for years due to a series of DUIs.

During the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that the pair will be allowed to travel to Canada.

“I was told they’re okay. I will check again, but when it first came up, I asked if they’re cleared for Canada, and I was told they’re both cleared. I’m not sure if it’s a swerve, or a storyline, but they’re cleared to show up.”

Dave Meltzer.

It remains unclear if The Usos will appear at WWE Elimination Chamber, only that they are able to.

Legal Troubles

The Usos have both experienced legal issues over DUIs which have affected their wrestling careers.

In September 2011, Jimmy was arrested and charged with a DUI after he blew twice the legal limit in the state of Florida.

In March 2013, he was arrested again for arrested for violating his probation by driving with a suspended license.

It was in January 2018 that Jey was arrested for DWI in Texas, after driving from a WWE live event, and was released the same day after posting a $500 personal recognizance bond.

In February 2019, Jimmy was arrested in Detroit after a dispute with police officers, who claimed they could smell alcohol from the inside.

In July 2019, Jimmy was arrested yet again near Pensacola, Florida and was charged with a DUI, but found not guilty by an Escambia country judge that December.

Two years later, Jimmy was arrested again in July 2021, blew close to triple the legal limit, and was booked on a misdemeanor DUI charge.

Potential Spoilers on Plans for WWE U.S. Title at Elimination Chamber 2023 (Report)

Fans eager to see a new United States Champion crowned at WWE Elimination Chamber 2023 may be in for a disappointing night in Montreal.

WWE Elimination Chamber will be the promotion’s next stop on the road to WrestleMania 39, and the first Montreal PLE since Breaking Point 2009.

The show will be headlined by Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns defending against Sami Zayn.

United States Championship

For the first time in history, the WWE U.S. Title will be decided inside an Elimination Chamber match.

Current and two-time champion Austin Theory will defend against Seth Rollins, Johnny Gargano, Montez Ford, Damian Priest and Bronson Reed.

In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it is reported that Theory has filmed content for WWE that is due to air in March and is holding the U.S. Title in the footage, making a title change unlikely.

Meltzer said that while the footage does not rule out a title change entirely, the line-up in the chamber does not suggest a title change will happen. He adds:

“Gargano and Ford are unlikely to win unless the plan is to split up the Street Profits, which has been talked about but unless they have a major plan for Ford there is no reason to do so. Reed is a longshot but they could and probably will try to portray him in a manner to become a bigger star. Priest could win at this stage and would probably be the favorite aside from Theory.”

WrestleMania 39

Theory may be leaving the Elimination Chamber as United States Champion, but there will be no rest for the wicked.

Current plans for WrestleMania will see Theory face John Cena, in a match that was teased throughout 2022.

Meltzer noted in his report that Cena Vs. Theory does not need the United States title, though it was John’s first title he won in 2004.

Bianca Belair’s WrestleMania Opponent Will Be Decided in the Elimination Chamber

Six WWE Superstars will fight next month inside the Elimination Chamber, with a prize of WrestleMania-sized proportions on the line

During this week’s Raw, 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble winner Rhea Ripley announced that she will face SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair this April.

Ripley explained that she plans on getting payback for Flair defeating her at WrestleMania 36, and winning the NXT Women’s Championship in the process.

Elimination Chamber

Ripley Vs. Flair is set for WrestleMania 39, which leaves Bianca Belair without a dance partner for the biggest event of the year.

During Raw, it was confirmed that Belair’s WrestleMania opponent will be decided inside the Elimination Chamber next month.

Adam Pearce named four women who have already qualified by being the four final women in the Women’s Royal Rumble match: Raquel Rodriguez, Asuka, Liv Morgan, and Nikki Cross.

Next week, another spot will be filled when Candice LeRae, Piper Niven, Mia ‘Michin’ Yim, and the returning Carmella, compete in fatal four-way action.

Women’s Elimination Chamber

Originally a match-type solely for the men-folk, it wouldn’t be until 2018 that fans saw their first Women’s Elimination Chamber match.

At the 2018 Elimination Chamber event, Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss would step into the structure with the gold and would also leave as champion.

In 2019, the Boss ‘n Hug Connection became the first WWE Women’s Tag Champions, in the first (and so far, only) Women’s Tag Chamber match.

2020 saw Shayna Baszler decimate the competition, eliminating every opponent in that year’s Women’s Chamber match.

While there was no women’s Chamber match in 2021, 2022 saw Bianca Belair earn a WrestleMania Raw Women’s title match inside the barbaric structure.

Elimination Chamber Main Event Will Culminate the Top Storyline in WWE

Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns will seek to remind Sami Zayn who is the Head of the Table next month at WWE Elimination Chamber.

At last weekend’s Royal Rumble event, Zayn’s tenure as the Honorary Uce ended when he refused to attack Kevin Owens, and instead struck Reigns with a steel chair.

This moment of victory for Zayn was short-lived, as he was attacked by Reigns, Jimmy Uso, and Solo Sikoa immediately after.

Elimination Chamber Main Event

Reigns has been on the roll of his career since capturing the Universal Championship at Payback 2020, but Zayn is hoping to prevent the Tribal Chief from entering his third consecutive WrestleMania as Champion.

Dave Meltzer reports that the main event of the upcoming show will see Zayn challenge Reigns for the title, in Sami’s hometown of Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Sami Zayn and Roman REigns

Though Meltzer said that plans are as always, subject to change, he said that major changes to plans have been far less frequent since Triple H’s appointment as Head of Creative.

Next month’s event will be the first WWE Premium Live Event to take place in Montreal since Breaking Point in September 2009.

WWE Elimination Chamber 2023 will take place on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at the Bell Centre in Montreal.

Sami Zayn: Can He Do It?

A year ago, the idea of Sami Zayn dethroning Roman Reigns was laughable, but there has been a growing consensus that this could happen.

Not only will the Canadian have the home-field advantage, but Zayn’s popularity has proven to be undeniable in recent weeks.

Many have compared Zayn today to Daniel Bryan circa 2014, and believe WWE may push him to the top as the crowd remains firmly on his side.

There’s also the factor of Cody Rhodes (the 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble winner) who has been one of WWE’s top babyfaces since returning to the promotion.

WWE runs the risk of fans turning on Rhodes (a la AEW) if they push him instead of Zayn, and ironically, it was WWE’s steadfast focus on pushing Reigns as a babyface that caused the fans to turn on him.

Reported Plans For Ronda Rousey At WWE Elimination Chamber

WWE is quickly approaching the Elimination Chamber event and the card is nearly complete as the company has already announced the top matches for it. However, one match that has yet to be revealed features Ronda Rousey.

WWE is airing a live episode of SmackDown tonight (February 11) and also taping next week’s show that will air on February 18 as the talent and crew will be making the long trip to Saudi Arabia ahead of the show on February 19.

Fightful Select reports a big tag team match is scheduled to be added to the Elimination Chamber lineup as the current plans call for the opening segment of the February 18th edition of SmackDown to be an announcement that a women’s tag team match between Ronda Rousey and Naomi taking on Charlotte Flair & Sonya Deville will take place at WWE’s next premium live event.

On this week’s show, Naomi is scheduled to take on Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Rousey made her return at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view event in St Louis, Missouri by being a surprise entrant in the Women’s Royal Rumble match. And winning the bout to earn the right to challenge Flair for the title at WrestleMania 38.

Goldberg Returns To Set Up Roman Reigns Match At Elimination Chamber

Goldberg made an appearance on WWE Friday Night Smackdown this week to interrupt Roman Reigns in the opening segment. He challenged Reigns to a Universal Title match at the Elimination Chamber event after he cut a short and very direct pointed promo to set up the match.

This was expected as Fightful reported that the WWE Hall of Famer was slated to make his return and was scheduled to travel to Oklahoma City, the site of WWE SmackDown.

There was some concern due to weather as Oklahoma got hit with a snowstorm on Wednesday and Thursday. Goldberg has been booked to lose 3 consecutive World Title matches over the last two years.

The legendary wrestler lost the Universal Title to Braun Strowman at WrestleMania 36. Goldberg challenged for the WWE Championship at the 2021 Royal Rumble pay-per-view but lost to Drew McIntyre. He lost to then WWE-Champion Bobby Lashley at the SummerSlam.  He last competed at Crown Jewel where he beat Lashley.

WWE presents the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event on Saturday, February 19, 2022. Other matches confirmed for the show includes WWE Champion Bobby Lashley vs. Brock Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins vs. Austin Theory vs. AJ Styles vs. Riddle in an Elimination Chamber Match, WWE Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch vs. Lita, WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos vs. The Viking Raiders
