Enzo Amore issued a statement on Tuesday night through his lawyers addressing the allegations of sexual assault levied against him.
“STATEMENT FROM COUNSEL FOR ERIC ARNDT
Over the last two days, Philomena Sheahan has made multiple public accusations against Eric Arndt (also known as Enzo Amore with the WWE), including allegations of sexual misconduct concerning an October 2017 incident in Phoenix. Mr. Arndt fully and unequiocally denies those allegations. He is cooperating with the authorities in this matter and looks forward to having it resolved in a timely manner. Neither Mr. Arndt nor his counsel will be making any further public comments on this matter.”
Philomena Sheahan, the woman who has accused Enzo Amore of sexual assault, spoke with TMZ Sports on Tuesday about the alleged incident.
Sheahan claims Amore ripped off her tights and “completely started sexually assaulting me.” She says she told him “countless times” until she was thrown onto a bed which resulted in her striking her head and was “literally passed out.”
WWE released Enzo Amore earlier today.
You can check out TMZ’s full interview with Sheahan below:
WWE has announced that Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore (Eric Arndt) has been released. The news comes after Phoenix Police confirmed that they investigating Arndt for sexual assault from an incident that allegedly occured back on October 19th at the Clarendon Hotel and Spa. On Monday, a woman accused Enzo Amore of the assault and posted a detailed description of the alleged altercation.
WWE first responded to the news on Tuesday by suspending him “until this matter is resolved.”
“WWE has zero tolerance for matters involving sexual harassment or sexual assault. Until this matter is resolved, Eric Arndt (aka Enzo Amore) has been suspended.”
It remains to be seen what led WWE to release Enzo just one day after suspending him ‘pending investigation.’ Reporter Sean Ross Sapp states that WWE did not find out about the rape allegation and pending investigation until yesterday. If so, that would certainly be grounds for firing. Had WWE known Enzo Amore was under investigation for sexual assault, would they have made him Cruiserweight Champion and the focal point of 205 Live? Highly unlikely.
WWE’s decision to release him aside, Eric Arndt is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
This is a developing story and we will provide an update when more information becomes available.
On Monday WWE announced the suspension of Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore as a result of a sexual assault allegation made against him.
As a result, the planned Enzo Amore vs. Cedric Alexander match has been pulled from Sunday’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
WWE has yet to address the fate of the Cruiserweight Championship, but an announcement is expected as soon as today. It will be interesting to see how WWE addresses the title vacancy and Enzo’s absence on television.
Following up on our initial report on the Enzo story from Monday, Joseph Currier and Dave Meltzer provided this update on the victim’s allegation:
“According to Vince Lewis of the Phoenix Police Department’s Media Relations unit, Phoenix Police confirmed that on Monday, October 23rd, 2017, at around 2:30 p.m., Phoenix Police responded to a local hospital for a call of a sexual assault that had reportedly occurred on October 19th, 2017 at 401 West Clarendon Avenue.”
WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore has been suspended following an allegation that he sexually assaulted a woman back in October. A brief statement at WWE.com reads:
“WWE has zero tolerance for matters involving sexual harassment or sexual assault. Until this matter is resolved, Eric Arndt (aka Enzo Amore) has been suspended.”
A woman, who has not yet made her name public at this time, alleges Enzo Amore raped her back in October in
She went on to provide more details on the alleged altercation.
Warning: The following contains sexually-explicit details:
“The original question TOOPOOR asked me was if I would suck Enzo’s dick. I said possibly but if I wasn’t down she said we could all just hang out. Then they got me way fucked up & they left knowing what was about to happen. When Enzo the WWE guy stared coming on to me I was passed out on the couch. I said “I want to get to know you first before doing anything.” He replied, “Bitch I have 1million followers on instagram…you should be begging for this dick.” & then he restrained me & it happened. I never would be this dramatic about something like this but I want you all to know that I would’ve left if I could. I was in psychosis- I had no idea what was going on. I remember bits &pieces & I have constant flashbacks..My mental issues have been the worst ever & i suffer from major PTSD from it.”
The Phoenix police department confirmed to Pro Wrestling Sheet that an investigation is underway.
– Dr. Phil, who has made several appearances on Monday Night RAW over the years, made a special congratulatory video for tonight’s RAW 25 episode. Phil also said he loves offering help to all WWE’s current Superstars, and his couch is always open to them – particularly Enzo Amore and Nia Jax:
– Vince McMahon took to Twitter to comment on tonight’s episode of RAW 25. Here’s what he had to say:
“Ms. Money In The Bank” Carmella recently did an interview with Rolling Stone to promote WWE’s Mixed Match Challenge. “The Princess Of Statin Island” talked about several professional wrestling topics such as the message sent to young kids watching men and women team together in the MMC, joining Total Divas on E!, and managing Enzo Amore & Big Cass in NXT. Here are the highlights:
A lot of the WWE’s audience are kids. What kind of message do you think can be taken away from seeing male and female superstars fighting in the same match?
“It’s super important for little girls to see what the women have done with the ‘Women’s Revolution’ and now being able to be a part of this Mixed Match Challenge. It’s different, it’s fun and it’s exciting. Nowadays, women are looked at as equal to the men when it comes to competing and I think that’s a really cool message to send to little girls and show them that whatever they want to do, they can set their mind to it and make it happen. And right now, this is a super exciting time for women in the WWE with all the firsts. We have the first women’s Royal Rumble match coming up and we had the first women’s Money in the Bank ladder match [in July 2017], so the sky is really the limit for the women right now.”
You also joined Total Divas this year, which adds a lot to your plate. What has that transition been like?
“It’s super exciting to be a part of a reality show in the midst of this ‘Women’s Revolution.’ One of the things documented on the show was the Money in the Bank ladder match, so it’s been exciting and different. It’s not something I ever thought I would do, being a part of a reality show. It was a super fun experience and being able to see it all play out on TV and for fans to be able to get to know me a little bit more has been cool.”
You’ve been wrestling on your own for a few months now. Are you excited to be paired up with someone again or do you feel more comfortable alone now?
“I like doing my own thing and I like being partnered with somebody. Anytime you’re partnered with a guy in wrestling, it’s exciting and different. Having James Ellsworth by my side for a while, that got people talking. Being a manager for Enzo and Cass in NXT was great. I got a lot of experience with doing that. And now this is something different as well, so I’m excited to be a part of it.”

WWE has announced that Enzo Amore will defend the Cruiserweight Title against Cedric Alexander at the Royal Rumble PPV.
The Royal Rumble pay-per-view event takes place on Sunday, January 28, 2018 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at the Wells Fargo Center and will air on the WWE Network and some traditional pay-per-view outlets. Both Raw and SmackDown brands will be featured. Here is the updated card:

Yesterday it was reported that Ronda Rousey, her manager, and Triple H were having dinner together at a popular LA restaurant, Republique. With Rousey’s manager being there it’s likely business was being discussed. The dinner took place on Tuesday night during SmackDown Live’s taping in Alabama.
With rumors running rampant about a possible Rousey signing to WWE, TMZ recently caught up with Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore and asked for his opinion on the former UFC women’s bantamweight champion possibly becoming a professional wrestler. “The Realest Guy In The Room” suggested that Rousey could be in for a ‘rude awakening’:
“Did she?,” Amore asked. “She’s in for a rude awakening. I mean MMA is MMA, I ain’t hating on MMA whatsoever – respect what they do so much. You ever been put through a table? Slammed on concrete? It’s a different ballgame.”
When asked how he thinks she’d do as a wrestler, Amore admitted that he thinks Rousey will translate well as she has enough respect for the business to understand it’s not easy:
“I think she’d translate quite well. Quite well. I don’t think it’s harder than she thinks. I think she respects what we do enough to know that it’s hard.”
RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss took to Twitter during last night’s SmackDown Live to mention that Liv Morgan was wearing a similar hairstyle to her’s. Bliss’ best-friend, Nia Jax, responded to Bliss’ Tweet and told Bliss to let Morgan ‘have the scraps.’ Morgan responded to Bliss by pointing out the differences between her hairstyle and “Little Miss Bliss’,” before responding to Jax’s ‘scraps’ comment.
Morgan said that Jax is actually after her scraps. For those of you who don’t know, Enzo Amore and Morgan dated each other during their days in NXT. The couple split last September after Morgan noted that she’s now single and removed all pictures of Amore from her social media. Amore and Jax are now involved in a romantic storyline on Monday Night RAW.

– On last night’s episode of Monday Night RAW WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore retained his title against Cedric Alexander despite losing the match via count-out. Amore suffered an injury during the match above his eye that made him bleed profusely throughout the bout. WWE posted the following video of Amore receiving stitches after the show:
– In one of the best spots on Monday Night RAW in recent memory, last night Braun Strowman brought down a huge metal structure on top of Kane and Braun Strowman backstage after laying waste to the pair in a brawl. The trio are set to meet in a Triple Threat match for the Universal Title at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view (PPV) later this month.
After the segment Brock Lesnar was taken to the hospital on a stretcher while Kane limped away from the carnage on his own power. WWE posted the following update on Lesnar and Kane:
Medical update on Brock Lesnar and Kane following Braun Strowman’s attack
After Braun Strowman used a grappling hook to tear down a lighting truss and send it crashing down on Universal Champion Brock Lesnar and Kane, WWE.com can confirm that Lesnar is undergoing examination by WWE medical personnel.
Kane, meanwhile, refused medical attention.
It is unknown how this incident will affect the Universal Championship Triple Threat Match at Royal Rumble involving all three Superstars.

– As we’ve previously reported, Cedric Alexander is set to receive his shot at the Cruiserweight Title tonight on Monday Night RAW against Enzo Amore. Alexander earned his shot several weeks ago by defeating Drew Gulak on RAW, however, the match was put on hold as Amore was sidelined from WWE TV with the flu. Alexander Tweeted out the following regarding finally getting his shot at the strap tonight:
YOUR COMPANY JUST FAILED MISERABLY!!! But I’m sure many will just say all this will blow over..And it Will because hey, when it comes To cases of Racial profiling,Stereotyping and Sexual assault to men/women in the workplace it always does blow over right??#SHAMEpic.twitter.com/5dWHHYc31r
WWE Cruiserweight champion Enzo Amore recently spoke with The Sun about his former rival Neville, who has been off television for months and whose future with WWE is in question.
Despite their heated television, Enzo says Neville is one of his favorite people in the business and hopes WWE will do what is necessary to make amends with the British high-flyer. While Neville has not made any public comments regarding his absence, Neville alludes that WWE’s travel schedule may have been a factor.
“He worked the 205 division with the hardest schedule in silence, he was working Friday, Saturday and Sunday and then Mondays and Tuesdays,” said Enzo. “When guys were catching red-eye flights from the west coast after Raw, Neville was driving on to the next town or taking an early morning flight.
He continued, “It’s the hardest schedule in pro wrestling because you are closing out 205 [Live] at the end of the week. I hope Neville comes back and we feud. I have never seen a guy work like he does.”
Enzo said Neville was more agile in the ring than anybody he’s ever seen and compared him to Dynamite Kid. “I have seen him tear it up in matches that no one will ever see – absolute bangers – I would love to move around with him because that dude can dance.”

It looks like Enzo Amore is ready to make his in-ring return on Monday Night RAW, as WWE announced that tomorrow night he will finally defend his Cruiserweight Title against Cedric Alexander:
“It is now official that Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore will defend his Cruiserweight Title against Cedric Alexander tomorrow night on Raw.
“The match, originally scheduled to take place last week, had to be postponed after The Certified G was hospitalized with the flu. However, with Amore now out of the hospital and ready to compete, he will square off against one of the most dynamic and toughest challengers to his title reign – 205 Live standout Alexander.
“Will Enzo be at full health for the title contest, or will Raw be Cedric’s night to rise to the top of the Cruiserweight division? And how will the Zo Train factor into the major championship match? Find out tomorrow night on Raw!”
Last weekend Amore reportedly got sick during WWE’s annual holiday live event tour after working with Kalisto that entire week. He did not wrestle in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and waited to go to the hospital until he flew into Miami, Florida for last week’s RAW. There he received IV treatment and attempted to talk WWE officials into allowing him to compete on RAW hours before the show.
His request was denied and Amore was instead ordered to return to his hotel room and rest up as it was feared he could be contagious. Cedric Alexander has been waiting for his Cruiserweight Title shot for the past several weeks after defeating Drew Gulak for the No. 1-contender’s opportunity on RAW.
– Immediately after Monday Night’s RAW goes off air the WWE Network will be airing a new episode of Corey Graves’ “Straight To The Source” featuring an interview with WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore.
– Nia Jax doesn’t seem too thrilled about having to team up with Apollo Crews for the Mixed Match Challenge. WWE posted the following video of Jax, Crews, Titus O’Neil, and Dana Brook backstage being interviewed by Renee Young after the news broke:
WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore recently did an interview with The Sun to talk about several professional wrestling topics. Here are the highlights:
Neville’s crazy travel schedule and his ability as a performer:
“Neville is one of my favorite pros in the business. He carried NXT with that title and was a tag-team champion there. Then he worked the 205 division with the hardest schedule in silence, he was working Friday, Saturday and Sunday and then Mondays and Tuesdays. When guys were catching red-eye flights from the west coast after Raw, Neville was driving on to the next town or taking an early morning flight. It’s the hardest schedule in pro wrestling because you are closing out 205 [Live] at the end of the week. I hope Neville comes back and we feud. I have never seen a guy work like he does.
Who Neville is like in the WWE ring:
“He might move better than anyone has ever moved in a ring – like the Dynamie Kid. I have seen him tear it up in matches that no one will ever see – absolute bangers – I would love to move around with him because that dude can dance.”

As we’ve noted before, WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore was held off from Monday Night RAW this week due to getting the flu. He was scheduled to defend his title against Cedric Alexander but that match has been put on hold for the time being.
Amore reportedly got sick over the weekend during WWE’s holiday tour and had been working with Kalisto at live events that week. He did not compete while in Toronto and held off on going to the hospital until he got to Miami, Florida for RAW. He was given an IV and arrived to the arena a few hours before the show but was sent to his hotel by WWE officials out of fear he was contagious, and was ordered to rest up despite Amore’s pleas to allow him to compete.
Braun Strowman was sent home early from WWE’s holiday tour for an illness as well, and the Wrestling Observer reports that “The Moster Among Men” was violently ill. Strowman, however, was able to return on RAW and defeat Rhyno in one-on-one competition.
There’s no official news on when Amore could return to the ring, although he has been medically cleared, but could possibly come back as early as this weekend. Amore was also removed from the Mixed Match Challenge by RAW General Manager Kurt Angle, despite that the tournament is two weeks away. When Amore does return it’s expected he’ll defend his title against Cedric Alexander.
– Currently Enzo Amore is the only WWE Superstar being sidelined by an illness, as he missed this past Monday’s episode of RAW after contracting the flu. Braun Strowman was sent home early from WWE’s holiday live event tour, however, he was able to return for RAW and defeat Rhyno.
Wrestling Inc. reports that several other WWE Superstars aside from Strowman and Amore are suffering from illnesses backstage and have been given IV treatment. It hasn’t been confirmed whether or not those illnesses are from the flu or something else, but it is being said that several Superstars didn’t go out on New Years Eve because of how sick they were.
– As they prepare to welcome their first child into the world, WWE Superstars The Miz and Maryse have purchased a brand new home and shared the following photos on social media:
WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore was hospitalized on Monday and missed last night’s RAW from Miami as a result. It appears Enzo may be suffering from the same flu that sent Braun Strowman home from the holiday tour.
Amore checked himself out of the emergency room on Monday and traveled to RAW in hopes of being featured on the show. According to PWInsider, WWE officials informed him they were not going to let him perform sick and ordered him to leave the venue.
No word yet on when Cedric Alexander’s scheduled Cruiserweight Title shot will take place. WWE did a segment on RAW that saw Nia Jax leave the arena to take Enzo a bowl of chicken noodle soup.
Enzo posted a video (seen below) on Instagram from Jackson Memorial/UM Hospital explaining his absence on RAW was due to illness:
“I apologize to the fans who won’t get to see a #G tonight in #Miami … I did everything I could from Toronto to Miami… From negative weather, through customs, to opting out on Diddy’s nye party in Miami, 10 hrs in a hospital, I did everything in my power to make sure I would be in that ring tonight to whoop Cedric Alexander’s hind-end … Ultimately: it was outta my hands. And I got the best freakin hands.”

– This week’s WWE RAW saw Paige wrestle her first match in more than a year, picking up a win over Sasha Banks. Paige’s last official match came during the July 27th, 2016 RAW episode. She teamed with Sasha to defeat Dana Brooke & Charlotte Flair that night. This week’s RAW also saw more dominance from Paige’s new “Absolution” stable with Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville. They once again took out Banks, Bayley and Mickie James and later surrounded Asuka in the ring but The Empress of Tomorrow left before anything could happen, like last week.
– The dark main event after this week’s RAW in Los Angeles at the Staples Center saw WWE Intercontinental Champion Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose defeat Samoa Joe and RAW Tag Team Champions The Bar. Hank Guthrie sent word that The Shield called Joe, Sheamus and Cesaro back to the ring after they retreated through the crowd as RAW went off the air. For those who missed it, the RAW main event saw Joe help The Bar retain the RAW Tag Team Titles over Rollins and Ambrose.

– Kairi Sane vs. Peyton Royce will also air on this week’s WWE NXT episode, as revealed in the promo below. As noted, this week’s episode will also feature Trent Seven & Tyler Bate vs. Mark Andrews & WWE UK Champion Pete Dunne plus highlights from Adam Cole vs. then-NXT Champion Drew McIntyre with WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels. All three of these matches took place at the NXT live event in San Antonio, which was just one night before Drew lost the title to Andrade “Cien” Almas at the “Takeover: WarGames” event. New NXT matches will be taped at Wednesday’s TV tapings from Full Sail University and we will have live spoilers.
– RAW General Manager Kurt Angle announced on tonight’s show that WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore will defend his title in 4 weeks against an opponent to be determined by two Fatal 4 Way matches and a singles match. The first Fatal 4 Way took place tonight and saw Rich Swann defeat Akira Tozawa, Ariya Daivari and Noam Dar. The next Fatal 4 Way will take place next Monday but WWE has not confirmed the participants. The winner of that Fatal 4 Way will face Swann the next week and the winner of that match will become the new #1 contender for a match with Enzo the next week.
– Matt Hardy’s losing streak continued on tonight’s RAW with a loss to Bray Wyatt but it looks like they are moving forward with the WWE debut of his “Broken” gimmick.
