Luke Harper Possibly Out With Injury

There is speculation Luke Harper might be on the injured list at the moment. He was spotted last night with a cast on his left hand. His last match was an October 1st house show in Kennewick, WA. The last time he was on WWE programming was August 21st when he and Rowen dropped the tag titles to New Day on Smackdown.

Comedian, Brad Williams of Netflix’s “the Degenerates”, posted that Harper showed up to his comedy show last night:

Rowen suffered a torn pec (which has really been going around lately) this summer and has been on the injured list ever since.

Harper and Rowen

Collectively known as the Bludgeon Brothers, Eric Rowan, and Luke Harper held the Smackdown tag team titles from WrestleMania to August 21st. Harper was on the Edge and Christian podcast earlier this year and detailed his reaction to learning of the Bludgeon Brothers gimmick.

“[…] instantly, in my head, I go, ‘man, it’s 2018. What are we doing?’ And that lasted about a fleeting second. And then I said, ‘oh, this is f*****g awesome!”

“Years ago, me and Rowan were told we’re done. We’re done being a team, we’ve done everything we can, and we’re here for five years later in a whole new thing and we’re tag team champions, so I can’t complain.”

Update On Possible Plans For Luke Harper & Erick Rowan

Former WWE NXT Tag Team Champs Eric Rowan and Luke Harper could be seeing some big changes to their gimmicks soon.

As first reported by Pro Wrestling Sheet, the pair are being considered to work a new gimmick together as well as change up their look. Harper and Rowan have been working against one another in singles matches lately, with Harper picking up the win.

Multiple sources have confirmed that WWE is considering bringing the pair back as a team, however, their were also rumblings earlier in the summer to have them revealed as the team who has been attacking Breezango.

Former Wrestlers File Class Action Concussion Lawsuit Against WWE

Former WWE wrestlers “Big” Vito Lograsso and Evan Singleton (Adam Mercer in developmental) have filed a class-action ‘concussion’ lawsuit against WWE, according to f4wonline.com. Filed in the state of Pennsylvania, the men are being represented the attorney who represents former WWE Superstar Billy Jack Haynes, who also has an ongoing suit against the company.

Vito Lograsso claims that he from “serious neurological damage, including severe headaches, memory loss, depression and anxiety, as well as deafness” as a result of his time as a WWE Superstar.

Singleton’s complaint states that after wrestling 15 matches for WWE, he sustained “multiple traumas”  – including a serious head injury after wrestling Eric Rowan. He alleges that WWE cleared him to continue wrestling after “inadequate rest time” and says WWE downplayed his injury to get him back int he ring. He was eventually released from his developmental deal and now suffers from “severe neurological symptoms.”

WWE Raw Report Card (9/1)

The WWE rolled through midwest tonight, as they set up shop in Des Moines, Iowa. This week’s card featured a total of eight matches, including a life changing six-man tag main event. It’s time to once again take the WWE to school, and I’ll be the one doling out the grades.

As always, matches will be graded based on usual factors such as workrate, in-ring psychology, move variety, crowd reaction, and overall impact on the storyline. Important in-ring promos will also be graded based on factors such as originality, believability, and importance. Without further ado, here is this week’s Raw report card.

Chris Jericho’s Highlight Reel

Tonight’s show started with Chris Jericho’s Highlight Reel, and featured a shitload of guests, including the Authority, John Cena, and Roman Reigns. There was some entertaining banter during the segment, including Triple H and Jericho hurling corny insults at one another as Jericho dissed Triple H’s pink tie, while the Game chose to attack Y2J’s scarf during a hilarious back and forth. Rollins was extremely over during the promo and got the biggest pop of the night in his home state. Cena threatening to sue the company was pretty lame, however, and held the promo back a bit. It was an overall decent segment, it set up the main event, and the crowd seemed to be into it.

Sheamus and Dolph Ziggler vs. Cesaro and the Miz

the-miz-ses-1

The first match of the night was a tag team match featuring the United States and Intercontinental Champions. The Miz showed up with his body double Damien Mizdow and a personal stylist, complete with chairs and makeup. Miz and Sandow were hilarious throughout the contest and the ending was solid. Ziggler and Cesaro also worked well together during the opening portion of the match, with Cesaro’s fall away slam into a pinning combination being one of the most impressive spots I’ve seen in a long time. Overall, it was an entertaining contest and was a good way to advance both feuds.

Tag Team Title Feud To Continue, Hulk Hogan Congratulates John Cena

– The Usos successfully retained the WWE Tag Team championships against Luke Harper and Eric Rowan at last night’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view. The feud is expected to continue, according to f4wonline.com, with a possible rematch taking place at Battleground on July 20th.

– WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan congratulated John Cena on his WWE World Heavyweight championship win at Money in the Bank. He tweeted:

5 Questions Heading into Money in the Bank

Money in the Bank is only a few days away, and it appears that the card is all but set. There are two ladder matches scheduled so fans can enjoy double the fun. Leading into the event, most questions have been answers, but a few still remain. Here are five questions that need to be answered heading into Money in the Bank.

5. Should Big E Be Given More Time to Speak?

big-e-langston-ses-4

This past week on Raw, Big E cut a rather passionate promo on Rusev. During his Intercontinental Title run, Big E was never really given an opportunity to connect with fans, leading many, including myself, to believe that his run with the title was stale.

However, after seeing him on Raw last week, I think that he could be one of the top superstars if booked properly. Instead of writing Big E cookie cutter promos that bore the fans, he should be given more time to speak freely and be himself as he did on Raw. If he had been given this opportunity while he still held the title, he could still be holding the strap today.

4. Will Bad News Barrett Compete?

Bad News Barrett was unfortunately the one receiving the bad news this week after separating his shoulder during a SmackDown taping. It seems that Barrett cannot avoid the injury bug, as he has been known to go down to injury at the worst possible times.

There has been no official announcement regarding his status for this Sunday’s pay-per-view, but it seems as if he will have to sit out while his fellow competitors attempt to win at shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. One can only hope that he recovers quickly and gets back in the ring, especially considering how successful his latest push has been.

Update: The video was pulled from Youtube due to a copyright clalim

Erick Rowan and Luke Harper briefly won the WWE Tag Team Titles at yesterday’s live event from Belfast, Northern Ireland.

While they were celebrating with their newly won gold, Fit Finlay came out and explained to the referee that The Wyatt Family cheated to win, knocking out one of the Usos with the titles. The match was then re-started and The Usos retained.
