Fuego Del Sol Set To Wrestle ROH Debut

Fuego Del Sol will make his Ring Of Honor debut on the July 25 taping.

Former All Elite Wrestling talent Fuego Del Sol will return to the company to compete on a taped Ring Of Honor episode on July 25. The episode will stream live on ROH Honor Club at 7 PM ET/4 PM PT.

Sol teamed with Top Flight (Darius & Dante Martin), Action Andretti, and Komander to go against Iron Savages (Boulder, Bronson & Jacked Jameson), Anthony Henry & Nick Comoroto in a Ten Man Tag Team match. Although the match has occurred already, Thursday’s episode will mark Sol’s debut in ROH.

AEW fired the masked competitor last year after nearly three years with the company. Since then, Sol has competed in various independent wrestling promotions, including Game Changer Wrestling and Revolution Pro Wrestling. He recently lost to KC Navarro at a Battleground Championship Wrestling event on July 6.

Although his debut occurred on July 20, the Thursday episode of ROH does have fans curious if he’ll be making more appearances for the company. Sol spoke about his return to the company for the tag team match on X. a

He mentioned that his debut occurred a year and a half after his last match with AEW. Sol also openly shared how grateful he is to have his first match in ROH.

“…This ROH Debut is so much more than just a match to me! Proud, excited, and overall I’m grateful to get to show this audience how hard I’ve been working this past year! Let’s go,” wrote Sol.

What’s Next For Fuego Del Sol?

Despite the ROH appearance, Sol still plans to stay busy on the independent wrestling scene. He is advertised to team with Sam Stackhouse against Rich and Powerful (Charles Mason & Richard Holliday) at GCW: Can I Trust You on August 4. Another notable match he is set to compete in will be against Ichiban at a WrestlePro event on September 28.

Besides staying busy facing other talented wrestlers for different promotions, Sol is also continuing to change his physique. He shared a photo of himself looking in a mirror in incredible shape compared to when he was in AEW.

Life seems to be going well for Sol as he continues to grow as a performer. His debut in ROH could also lead to more opportunities for the brand moving forward. Regardless, fans have Sol should look forward to his tag team match this Thursday.

Fuego Del Sol On Being Mistaken for Hologram: ‘Not All Masked Guys Look Alike’

Hologram made an impact with his debut match in AEW and those behind the scenes liked what they saw from the masked wrestler. After a series of vignettes teasing his arrival, Hologram made his in-ring debut on the July 20, edition of Collision with a victory over Gringo Loco.

Hologram was praised backstage following his debut, Fightful Select reports, as officials felt it went very well. Gringo Loco also received recognition for being a solid ‘base’ for Hologram’s first match in AEW.

There are more elements to Hologram, including “technologically ambitious” ideas that will be rolled out as part of the character’s presentation moving forward. Hologram is signed to an AEW deal but Gringo Loco is not.

A Case Of Mistaken Identity

After AEW Collision went off the air, the latest ROH TV tapings were held which saw the return of Fuego Del Sol. Given that Del Sol appeared so suddenly after Hologram, some fans speculated that they were the same person, an idea Del Sol rejected on Twitter.

Hologram is being portrayed by former AAA wrestler Aramis who has faced Gringo Loco numerous times in the past. Now with a new name and new presentation, the future looks bright for Hologram after his well-received arrival on Collision.

Injured AEW Star to Undergo Surgery

AEW’s Fuego del Sol has provided an injury update days after announcing that he had undergone medical testing.

Last month, the AEW star announced that he dislocated his right foot and only had one minor fracture. However, earlier this week, it was revealed that he has been diagnosed with five fractures in his foot.

The injury happened during an Extreme Title Three-Way match at an SPW show on February 19th. He was wrestling Guapo Lupe and Daniel Torch.

The Announcement

In a post on Instagram, Fuego noted that he will need surgery to fix the injury and will be sidelined for at least 3 months. He wrote the following:

“I LOVE PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING!

Which is why I’m devastated to say that due to this injury I’ll need surgery that’s going to keep me from doing what I love for at least 3 months.

This a clip from a recent seminar I did. Hoping to do more along with some meet and greets while I’m out of the ring. I’m too passionate about this business to let this hold me back. The comeback will be far greater than the setback.”

His most recent match under the AEW banner happened on February 15 during Dark: Elevation when he lost to Juice Robinson while his last televised bout came when he lost to Luchasaurus in October on Dynamite.

We wish him a speedy recovery.

AEW’s Fuego Del Sol Provides an Injury Update

Last month, Fuego Del Sol announced that he had been injured at an independent show. He finished the match and originally thought it was just a “small fracture at the bottom of my big toe.” He was still awaiting a CAT scan to find out if there was ligament damage.

The initial time frame for his injury was five weeks.

Del Sol received the results of his CT scan. It turns out that he fractured his foot in five different places.

He tweeted “the orthopedic said the main ligament around my Lisfranc bone is a little displaced but not completely separated.” The next step is seeing a foot specialist to find out if surgery is needed.

“If it can heal on its own the recovery is 6-8 weeks because all my bones are in the right spots and the fractures just need time to heal, BUT if I need surgery it could be 3 months.”

Last April, Del Sol was dealing with a “horrible mouth infection”.

We wish Fuego Del Sol a speedy recovery and hope he returns to the ring soon.

AEW Star Shows Off His Incredible Body Transformation

AEW star Fuego Del Sol is showing off his new bulked-up physique.

Wrestlers can get attention for their ability and charisma in the wrestling business. However, their physical appearance can also significantly affect their career. A person’s physical appearance and health can aid in preserving their career and possibly getting more opportunities.

FDS posted a video on Twitter this week to show off the results of the past six months of hard work. Thanks to a new fitness program by the Modern Wellness Center, he’s added 15 pounds of muscle over the past six months.

Fuego Del Sol Status With AEW

Sol is still signed with AEW, although he hasn’t been seen on TV. The company has used Sol in several programs, but it, unfortunately, isn’t consistent. His last appearance on AEW Dynamite was a loss against Luchasaurus on Oct. 5, 2022. While he may not often compete on AEW Dynamite or Rampage, he competes for several independent promotions.

He competed in Pandemonium: Pro Wrestling’s Holiday in Hollywood against Alan Angels on Dec 4. 2022. Sol put on a great effort but ultimately lost the match. Fans could watch the entire event with Sol on IWTV for ten dollars.

Sol is advertised to compete in Rugged Pro Wrestling against Justin Fowler on Feb. 25. It’s unclear when his next AEW appearance will be or if the company has creative plans for him. However, he seems to be in good spirits and keeps busy with his indie dates and workout program.

No, AEW Did Not Snub Kenny Omega on His Birthday

One month out and fans are still talking about the backstage brawl that occurred in AEW following their ALL OUT 2022 pay-per-view event. The incident, which is still under investigation, involved CM Punk, Kenny Omega, Ace Steel, and the Young Bucks, all who are still suspended from action aside from Steel, who was released by AEW this morning.

Some fans were speculating on Omega’s status with the company as the AEW social media team did not post anything about the Cleaner on his birthday on October 16th. However, AEW did make a birthday post for Fuego Del Sol, who shares a birthday with Omega. He just turned 27. This led to some controversy as some fans started taking unnecessary shots at Del Sol for doing nothing.

Fuego Del Sol Fires Back At The Trolls

Fuego is not the type of talent to just let silliness fly. He took to Twitter and revealed that Omega specifically told the AEW social media team not to post about his birthday, a request he made as early as a year ago. Del Sol’s full tweet reads:

“Only commenting on this because there are still articles and comments that are using me and my birthday to comment on Omega. I love Omega as much as the next fan. He told socials not to post about his birthday last year. Learn how to UNTAG me before you spew your hate and B.S.!”

This isn’t the first time Del Sol has tried to clear the air regarding a misconception about him. He went on Twitter recently and explained that his angle with Malakai Black was something that Black pushed for, and was not forced upon the House of Black faction.

We here at Sescoops would like to wish Del Sol a happy belated birthday.

Real Meaning Behind Recent Cryptic Tweet From AEW Star (Spoiler)

Fuego Del Sol fuelled the rumors of leaving AEW with some recent steps. It turns out the real meaning behind his actions was something completely different.

The AEW star got people talking about his future when he blacked out his Twitter profile. He also sent out an ominous tweet reading that ‘change is going to come.’

Fuego then posted a photo of himself in a different mask than usual. All this led to speculations that he could be leaving Tony Khan’s promotion very soon.

Real Meaning Of Fuego Del Sol’s Tweet

As it turns out, all this was an indication of a character change for the high-flying star. The photo he posted was from the latest AEW Dark tapings.

He competed against Ariya Daivari during the tapings. Fans who attended the event noted that Fuego Del Sol was not his usual cheery self in the bout. All this indicates that we will be seeing a new version of his character in the coming times.

Del Sol made regular appearances for AEW during the pandemic era, competing on Dark and Dark: Elevation. He was offered a contract following his loss to Miro during the August 13, 2021 episode of Rampage.

This isn’t the only noteworthy event from the latest Dark tapings. A former NXT star also made his debut on the same day and joined a new faction.

AEW Star Removes References to the Company on Social Media

Since 2019, AEW has signed some of the biggest names in wrestling, but has experienced an exodus of talent over the past year.

Unquestionably the biggest name to leave AEW so far is Cody Rhodes, who returned to WWE at WrestleMania 38 this past April.

Big Swole, Stu Grayson and Joey Janela have also left AEW and now another star may be on their way out.

Del Sol Gone?

On Twitter, Feugo Del Sol has seemingly teased that his career with AEW is coming to an end, if it hasn’t finished already.

In a tweet, Del Sol promised that change is coming, and has blacked out his profile picture and Twitter cover image.

Most notably, Del Sol has also removed any references to AEW or being employed by the promotion.

Del Sol’s bio now only promotes his Twitch channel as well as an e-mail for taking independent bookings.

AEW President Tony Khan has not publicly commented on Del Sol’s status with the company at this time.

Journey to AEW

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Del Sol made several appearances for AEW Dark and Dark: Elevation.

Del Sol would start a losing streak and his quest for an AEW contract would become a storyline for the masked wrestler.

On the August 13, 2021, Rampage, Del Sol faced TNT Champion Miro and would have won the title and a contract if he won.

Despite losing the match, Sammy Guevara appeared and handed Del Sol a deal, confirming him as part of the AEW main roster.

GRAPHIC: AEW Star Has One-Inch Hole On His Neck Following Procedure

A member of the AEW roster has dealt with a nightmare mouth infection.

In late April, Fuego Del Sol revealed that he was hospitalized due to the infection. The medical issue was bad enough that he needed to undergo surgery. The good news for Fuego is that he was eventually released from the hospital but the aftermath is gnarly.

Poor Fuego

Fuego Del Sol took to his Twitter account and shared that he has been left with a one-inch hole on his neck following the procedure.

https://twitter.com/FuegoDelSol/status/1521556674061996033

“Had a drainage tube taken out of my neck this morning and now I have an unstitched 1-inch hole in my neck… it’s wild!”

Of course, some requested an image of the hole. Among those asking for a pic was AEW referee Aubrey Edwards. That old saying, “be careful what you wish for” couldn’t ring more true than now.

Below is a photo of the unstitched hole but BE WARNED it is graphic.

Surely, there are better days ahead for Fuego following this less-than-ideal experience.

Del Sol nabbed an AEW contract following a match with Miro back in 2021. He’s mostly been used to put over the bigger stars of AEW but he’s shown flashes of what he’s capable of in the ring.

Fuego Del Sol Hospitalized Due To Infection, Undergoes Surgery

Fuego Del Sol has had a rough April and he’s hoping the worst is behind him.

Fuego, an AEW talent, dealt with a nasty mouth infection that was bad enough that he needed to have surgery. Fuego revealed the news on his Twitter account and believes better days are ahead.

https://twitter.com/FuegoDelSol/status/1520255767915667456

“Been in the hospital all day with a horrible mouth infection, surgery is done and on the road to recovery! Hopefully leaving this place tomorrow! Send positive vibes my way!”

Del Sol was given an AEW contract following a loss to Miro back in Aug. 2021. Fuego has mostly been seen on AEW Dark and has been used in some spots to get stars such as HOOK over on Dynamite and Rampage.

Del Sol’s career record with AEW is 10-54. He has gone 3-5 in 2022 thus far.

Fuego Del Sol Says He Made More Money On AEW Dark Than WWE Raw

Fuego Del Sol says the money he made for his first AEW Dark appearance topped his squash match on Monday Night Raw.

On the Jan. 6, 2020 episode of Raw, Del Sol had a match as KJ Orso. He was squashed by Erick Rowan. Orso had wrestled as KAGE on the independent scene. He soon made appearances on AEW Dark before the company ultimately signed him to a contract.

Appearing on the AEW Unrestricted podcast, Del Sol said that his first AEW Dark appearance brought him more money than his match on Raw.

“I remember that day pretty fondly. They had KJ Orso just constantly practice that over and over again, running up the ramp. But they need this visual of the cage squirting some red stuff in the face and running and screaming. So, no mask. I couldn’t do it at that time, so he did it. It was a good payday for him, and he went from there. He took this prop guy and they had this little capsule in his mouth, and so, he just had to spit into his hand and rub it all over his face because it couldn’t be blood on a PG show. There’s no blood.

“It was just red mist, red substance. There was a big man that kept saying this over and over. ‘It can’t be blood.’ You had to cover your face the whole time to kind of hide it. I got part of his money that night. It wasn’t that great. I remember getting my first AEW Dark check and thinking, oh man, AEW is taking care of me much better than that night was. So, I’ll tell you that right now.”

Fuego Del Sol challenged Miro for the TNT Championship on the debut edition of AEW Rampage. The stipulation was that if Del Sol won, he’d earn an AEW contract. Despite his efforts, Miro won the match. Tony Khan ended up handing a contract to Sammy Guevara, Del Sol’s best friend, and the masked wrestler ended up joining the AEW roster anyway.

Fuego Del Sol On AEW Contract: ‘I Didn’t See It Coming’

Fuego Del Sol has revealed what he knew about his big AEW Rampage segment.

On the debut episode of Rampage. Del Sol battled AEW TNT Champion Miro. The stipulation was that if Del Sol won, then not only would he take the gold but he’d also be offered a contract with AEW.

Del Sol was unable to defeat Miro. After getting the early jump on the champion, Del Sol was stopped in his tracks after eating a Machka Kick. Miro then applied Game Over and Del Sol was forced to tap. Miro then ripped up Del Sol’s contract, or at least he thought he did.

Following a commercial break, Sammy Guevara, Del Sol’s close friend, walked out and AEW President Tony Khan handed him a contract. Guevara entered the ring and revealed that Del Sol is All Elite.

During a Twitch stream, Del Sol revealed that he was unaware that he’d be getting a contract on television.

“They told me to lay there and after commercial comes back, get your standing ovation. ‘Hey, these people love you,’ Bryce (Remsburg) was getting it in his ear, ‘Hey, lay here, after commercial break, stand up, get your standing ovation, these people love you. I stood up, I thought, ‘Hell of a match, fun night.’ Sammy Guevara’s music hit, my heart dropped into my stomach because I knew what was happening in that moment. I was overwhelmed with emotion.

“I get goosebumps. I enjoyed the match so much. I was so amped all day about the match. I had this vision in my mind. Three DDTs. I was on cloud nine all day. We filmed the package they aired before the match, the night before, and it felt big, but I had no idea that they were going to do that after the match. Sammy was dressed nice and I didn’t even think about it. I was so focused on the match that everything else was white noise. I was laser-focused on Miro. It was perfect because I didn’t see it coming.”

Del Sol’s comments confirm what Tony Khan told Sports Illustrated. The AEW boss said the moment that Del Sol received his AEW contract on television was a “complete shoot.”

Fuego Del Sol only has one win in AEW. That victory was a tag team match so he remains winless in singles competition. With a fresh contract in hand, however, that figures to change soon.

Tony Khan: Fuego Del Sol’s AEW Contract Was A ‘Complete Shoot’

Tony Khan claims that when Fuego Del Sol was offered his AEW contract on the debut episode of Rampage, it was a total shoot.

This past Friday night (Aug. 13), Del Sol challenged Miro for the TNT Championship. The stipulation was that if Del Sol won then not only would he become a titleholder but he’d also be offered an AEW contract. Despite getting off to a blazing start, nailing Miro with three tornado DDTs, Del Sol was crushed by the Machka Kick and was forced to tap out to the Game Over.

After the match, Miro seemingly tore up Del Sol’s contract. When Rampage returned from commercial break, Del Sol was in the ring and received cheers from the Pittsburgh crowd. Sammy Guevara then made his entrance and was handed a contract by Khan. He then presented it to Del Sol, revealing his best friend is now All Elite.

“Fuego, Fuego man you lost but sometimes there’s victory in defeat. I mean, you’ve been coming here for the past year, you’re like 1-50 but who cares cause these people love you. And Fuego, whether you know it a lot of guys love you back there too. Tony Khan thought it was only right for me to be the one to come out here, since you’re my best friend, to say officially Fuego Del Sol is All Elite.”

During an interview with Sports Illustrated, Khan revealed that the moment Del Sol received his contract was a legit shoot.

“That was a complete shoot. Fuego had no idea that was going to happen. Sammy was the only person I told, and Fuego was legitimately surprised to receive the contract he’s been dreaming of and chasing.”

Fuego Del Sol has yet to have a singles victory under the AEW banner. His only win with the promotion was a tag team match.

Fuego Del Sol Earns AEW Contract Despite Losing To Miro

Fuego Del Sol is All Elite.

Del Sol challenged Miro for the AEW TNT Championship on the debut episode of Rampage. The stipulation was that not only was the gold on the line, but Del Sol would earn an AEW contract with a victory. Despite a red hot start, Del Sol failed to vanquish Miro.

After the match, Miro ripped up what would’ve been Del Sol’s contract. Luckily for the masked luchador, the story doesn’t end here.

Once Rampage returned from a commercial break, Del Sol stood in the ring and received a standing ovation. Sammy Guevara made his way out and he was handed a contract by Tony Khan.

Guevara then entered the ring to inform Del Sol that he is the latest addition to the AEW roster.

The debut episode of Rampage opened up with an Impact World Title match. Kenny Omega put his gold on the line against Christian Cage. Cage turned the tables on Omega, who tried to plant him with the One-Winged Angel on a chair. Cage reversed and nailed Omega with a Killswitch on the chair to capture the Impact World Title.

What do you make of Fuego Del Sol being All Elite?
