Ex-WWE Star Gene Snitsky Punts A Baby (Again!) At ‘The Last Match’ Rock Experience

Former WWE Superstar Gene Snitsky proved that the years haven’t dulled his punting skills with a surprise appearance at The Last Match musical experience

The 54-year-old Snitsky appeared at the show associated with The Last Match stage show. Snitsky confronted ‘Mother’ (played by fellow WWE alum Mickie James) a character in the show that is never far apart from her baby. After taking hold of the (thankfully plastic) child, Snitsky showed that he could still punt a baby with the best of them.

The spot in question was a follow-up from an infamous segment from a late 2004 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw. After Lita suffered a (kayfabe) miscarriage due to a collision with Kane that Snitsky caused, Gene confronted the future WWE Hall of Famer. Snitsky, who constantly reminded fans “IT WASN’T MY FAULT” would arrive with a doll of a baby that he would punt into the crowd.

This time, it WAS his fault.

The Last Match

Mickie James is just one of several big names on the cast of The Last Match. TNA Wrestling broadcaster Matthew ‘Aiden English’ Rehwoldt plays ‘The Boss’ while recent-NXT departure McKenzie Mitchell plays broadcaster Scarlett Sublime. Bull ‘Dempsey’ James plays Sam The Barbarian while Afa Anoa’i Jr. portrays The Surgeon/Son of Stalin. Popular YouTube personality plays the show’s main antagonist Alexander Swagger.

The Last Match tells the story of Ben Vengeance, a journeyman wrestler who prepares to step in the ring for what will be his titular last match. Vengeance’s final match sees the veteran face BTD Heavyweight Champion Alexander Swagger. The show has proven to be a hit with audiences and you can check out the official SE Scoops review below.

Gene Snitsky Recalls His Time In TNA Wrestling

Former WWE Superstar Gene Snitsky was, at one point, a part of TNA Wrestling. Recalling his time with the company back in 2014 during a recent interview with Hannibal TV, Snitsky divulged why he ultimately left the promotion. For him, it was a case of not being paid what he felt he was worth.

“At the time, they said it was going to lead to something and that whole deal,” Snitsky explained. “That never really materialized because of the money aspect. I was like ‘Well, do I really want to do this and not get paid what I think I should get paid or just nip it in the bud?’ I’m not one of those guys who are just along for the ride. I think very highly for myself, I know I’m a good athlete, I know I have charisma.”

Gene Snitsky On Dixie Carter

When asked if he had any opportunities to engage and interact with Dixie Carter, Snitsky confessed he didn’t. He explained how he shot a few vignettes with her, but that was the extent of their interactions.

Snitsky noted how Carter would be present and ready for when they needed to shoot their segment and, once completed, she left, leaving no time or opportunity for any real face time between them.

  • Snitsky On Why He Left WWE, Causing Lita To Miscarry, Infamous Encounter With Heidenreich, His Foot Fetish

Gene Snitsky appeared on the v2 Wrestling Podcast and was asked a range of questions about his five-year tenure with WWE that started with an infamous “baby killing” angle. Highlights from the interview are as follows:

On his debut when he knocked Kane into Lita, causing her to miscarry: “The whole storyline was kind of cool I thought. It was so different, it was pushing the envelope. Let’s be realistic, everything’s been done in wrestling that can be done, and back then it wasn’t as corporate so you could get away with a little more. Nowdays, that storyline would never ever be able to take place. A lot of people don’t realize, it was only supposed to be that one incident, and I was then gonna go back to OVW and keep training until they brought me back up. But it got such a reaction that it took off and had a mind of its own, so they rolled with it. I knew it was gonna be good as soon as I hit him with the chair and he fell on her, the whole crowd started chanting “baby killer”. When that happened, I was like, This is great, this is gonna be good.”

On the angle where he punted a baby doll: “I don’t remember exactly who came up with it, but I remember rehearsing it with everybody involved and Vince was very adamant on me kicking the baby doll, and he’s like “You better not f— it up”. And I was like “Don’t worry Vince, I’m not gonna f— it up, I was an all-area punter on my football team in high school. I ain’t gonna f— it up, trust me”. So after we did it and it came off so good, I remember coming back through the curtain and he gave me a standing ovation. The thing that surprised me was that it stayed in once piece; i thought for sure that the head would have popped off it or something. The little brat took it like a champ!”

On his infamous encounter with Heidenreich: “I don’t think two guys ever pulled off a creepier, more homoerotic backstage segment in the history of wrestling.”

On being in the company for the rise of John Cena and Batista: “If the writers want to push a certain character, or Vince wants to push a certain character, they’re getting thrown to the top, whether you like it or not. Once Vince picks his guy and goes with him, he’s gonna go with him. When they made me shave my head and paint my teeth, it was Vince’s idea. Once Vince gets an idea, you do it.”

On why he left WWE: “Basically it was just creative differences. I didn’t like the direction my character was going, and for about six months I would go back and forth with the writers. They were always real big on incorporating your input, so I’d shoot them ideas, and week after week they’d get shot down, and I didn’t really like how they were taking it. It just got to the point where it was best to part ways, but I left on good terms.”

On whether he watches the current WWE product: “I DV-R it every week, and I sort of keep up with it but I fast forward through a lot of it. A lot of it’s too normal for me. I’ve always been an off-the-wall guy, going back to high school, I was always the guy who would do anything to get a reaction. Going to parties and running through walls and stuff like that. To me, that’s fun. The stuff that you see guys doing now is kind of boring if you ask me. They don’t do anything out of the ordinary any more.”

On his foot fetish: “I always liked Torrie Wilson, she was always one of my favorites, and we still joke about it. I’d always tell her, you have such nice feet, and she’d just kind of chuckle. But we’re still friends, I did some bodyguard work for her boyfriend Alex Rodriguez so I still keep in touch with her, she’s really cool. There’s a lot of them that have nice feet, but you don’t walk around backstage and say ‘Can I suck your toes?!'”

“As great as Taker’s run has been in WWE, arguably the most marvelous, long term run in WWE history, it would have not been the same without Paul Bearer being added to the presentation in the Phenom’s formative years,” wrote Ross, who he personally referred to as Percy. “They went together like BBQ sauce on a great rack of ribs and created a presentation that including the perfect music, with perfect lighting and special effects to go along with the amazing package of the Dead Man and his scary, unmistakable figure of a manager.”

He continues, “Percy was so proud of his sons and loved his family deeply. His southern roots ran deep as he never moved, for long any way, from Alabama. During the football season we would exchange messages or talk about his Crimson Tide and my Sooners hoping that they would meet for the national title in our life time. Gene Snitsky Interested In Forming Tag Team With WWE Star, Takes Aim At Drew McIntyre and Heath Slater

Gene Snitsky, who has not appeared for WWE since being released from his contract in December 2008, continues to campaign online for his job back with the sports-entertainment organization.

The 42-year-old wrestler was backstage at Saturday’s Raw live event in Reading, Pennsylvania, where he tweeted a photo of himself with Tensai and stated, “Possible new tag team in #wwe? What ya think?” He added to a fan who wants to see the behemoths team up, “Would love to make it happen!!!! Let #wwe know how u feel.”

Unlike Tensai, Snitsky is not fond of two of his WWE colleagues. He pondered Friday to his Twitter followers, “How does drew McIntyre still have a job? Just wondering….”

A fan then wrote to Snitsky wondering why McIntyre’s 3MB partner, Heath Slater, is also employed by WWE, and the former Superstar responded, “ya him too…. Fukn horrible.”

Snitsky continued railing the Scottish grappler by ridiculing for him for his various persona changes over the years: “heez been repackaged so many times I lost count! Ask @CharlieHaas about him!!!” He added that Haas’ view on McIntyre rhymes with “bits.”

Snitsky then reminisced about the fellow former WWE Superstar purposely clocking McIntyre during a match. He wrote to a follower, “You should hear @CharlieHaas story about the time he punched him in the face during their match! Lmfao.”

Snitsky did not see McIntyre at the show to ask himself why he still has a job, but noted that the WWE Superstar already knows how he feels about him.
