Gigi Dolin Returns To WWE NXT With Attack On Fatal Influence

Gigi Dolin made her long-awaited return during the latest episode of WWE NXT, and is back to war with former ally Jacy Jayne. In the show’s main event, Fatal Influence’s Fallon Henley defended her NXT Women’s North American Championship against Tatum Paxley. After the match, Dolin returned and attacked the faction that consists fo Henley, Jayne, and Jazmyn Nyx.

Dolin had been out of action since March with a knee injury and made her return to action last weekend at a NXT live event. She and Jayne competed as part of Toxic Attraction for years before Jayne turned on Dolin in February 2023.

Dolin’s return adds a new layer of intrigue to the NXT women’s division, which has gone from strength to strength in recent months. We’ve seen the arrival of top-tier talent including Stephanie Vaquer, Giulia, and most recently Zaria, all of whom have made an impact since debuting. Dolin isn’t the only recent return as Nikkita Lyons also made her return following an injury, exciting fans of the Lionness.

Now, Dolin is back and is ready to carve her own place in the stacked NXT women’s division. With Fatal Influence holding the NXT Women’s North American Champion, it may be just a matter of time before Gigi Dolin finds herself in a match with championship implications.

Gigi Dolin Returns To Action After 8 Months At NXT Live Event

NXT star Gigi Dolin has returned to action after spending most of 2024 on shelf due to an unfortunate knee injury.

Dolin had been out of action since March this year. Her last match before the injury came during the March 12 episode of NXT where the female star lost a singles bout to Arianna Grace.

The 27-year-old finally returned to action during Friday’s NXT Live Event from Lakeland, FL. She came out after Cora Jade claimed that no one was strong enough to challenge her. Gigi Dolin then pinned Jade in her return match to pick up the victory:

Dolin took part in the 2018 Mae Young Classic and was signed to a contract in 2021. Before her WWE signing, she made a couple of appearances for AEW as well.

Prior to her injury, the NXT star was involved in a storyline with Arianna Grace who wanted to give her a makeover. Gigi was supposed to get the makeover after she lost the bout to Grace but the storyline was dropped due to her hiatus.

In her absence, NXT has brought on names such as Giulia, Zaria, and Stephanie Vaquer. There is no word on when Gigi Dolin will make her return to TV but it’s sure that things will not be easy for her whenever she makes her on screen comeback.

WWE NXT Change-Up: Gigi Dolin’s Character Going New Direction

This week’s WWE NXT saw a few segments that will help set the stage for Stand & Deliver. The 2024 NXT Stand & Deliver event is scheduled to go down on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. We might have a totally different Gigi Dolin by then.

Gigi Dolin and Arianna Grace set a wager in their match last week during NXT. The two squared off this week, and if Grace won, then Dolin was under her guidance. After a DQ finish, Dolin will now have to take beauty tips from Grace.

What Happened on WWE NXT

This week’s NXT featured Dolin vs Grace, and it ended with two low blows. You don’t see those typically happen in women’s matches, but Gigi vs Arianna saw two of them. Sadly for Dolin, the referee only saw her cheap shot.

Arianna Grace, who is also daughter of Santino Marella, has a beaty pageant gimmick. This week’s episode of NXT saw her win the big match, albeit it by DQ, but that will take Gigi Dolin in a brand-new direction.

We will have to see what happens in the weeks to come, but Gigi Dolin may get a bit of a character reboot. If Grace can transform Gigi into a beauty pageant princess, for only a short time, it will certainly give the former Toxic Attraction member something to do.

What’s Next For Gigi Dolin

Since Toxic Attraction’s breakup, Gigi Dolin has been doing her thing. Jacy Jayne ended up in an angle with Chase U, but Dolin has remained on her own. Now, it appears that she will be aligned with Grace in this storyline, with a likely match to get her out of the verbal contract down the line.

SEScoops will have more coverage of this story, and many more. Please keep checking back for the headlines and coverage you need.

WWE Discussing Two NXT Stars Joining the Main Roster

Jacy Jayne and Gigi Dolin appear to be on the cusp of being called up to the WWE main roster.

The two WWE NXT superstars and Mandy Rose, the NXT Women’s Champion, are allies in the Toxic Attraction faction.

Dolin and Jayne have recently been briefly put on the main roster. They made their SmackDown debuts on August 19, when they defeated Natalya and Sonya Deville to win a WWE Women’s Tag Team Tournament match. They replaced Nikkita Lyons and Zoey Stark in the competition.

Dolin and Jayne Headed to the Main Roster?

Toxic Attraction

According to Dave Meltzer’s report in the most recent Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there has been talk about Dolin and Jayne joining the main roster for a while.

It’s unclear when they would make their official main roster debuts, which brand they would be on – Raw or SmackDown – and if Rose would join them.

The former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions most recently wrestled on this week’s episode of NXT by defeating Ivy Nile & Tatum Paxley.

Many fans believe that Dolin and Jayne have done everything there is to do in NXT so now is a good time to move them to the main roster and be in contention for the Women’s Tag Team Titles.

Toxic Attraction Headed to Tonight’s WWE SmackDown

WWE is making a change to the Women’s Tag Team Title tournament.

NXT stars Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne of Toxic Attrraction will replace Nikkita Lyons & Zoey Stark in the first round match against Natalya and Sonya Deville.

Dolin & Jayne are former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions, while Mandy Rose is the reigning NXT Women’s Champion.

Rose successfully beat Stark to retain her title on Tuesday’s episode of NXT 2.0: Heatwave after targeting the knee of Stark throughout the match and pinning her with a running knee strike while having Stark’s knee brace.

Stark was sidelined from October 2021 to July with a torn ACL/Meniscus.

Two segments were previously announced for tonight’s SmackDown, including The Viking Raiders holding a ‘viking funeral’ for The New Day and a face-to-face between Drew McIntyre and Roman Reigns ahead of their Undisputed WWE Universal Title bout at Clash at the Castle next month.

WWE Champion Possibly Injured During Tapings

One WWE superstar may have sustained an injury during a recent taping.

As they say in WWE, “this ain’t ballet.” There is a risk that superstars run every time they step inside the ring. Even doing routine moves can lead to serious injury, which is why the company advises fans not to try these acts at home.

For one NXT Champion, she may have been injured but it’s also possible she avoided anything serious.

Gigi Dolin’s Injury Scare

A spoiler report from PWInsider noted that there was a moment during a recent set of NXT tapings where Gigi Dolin was on the receiving end of a cannonball from Cora Jade. Gigi did not get up, so Cora pinned her immediately.

Gigi, one-half of the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions, had to be helped to the back.

In some good news, the report noted that Gigi was out for a promo segment later and didn’t appear to show lingering effects.

With that said, she didn’t get physical during the segment.

Time will tell whether Gigi simply got the wind knocked out of her or if there’s something more serious at play.

Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne Win WWE NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles

New NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions were crowned at Halloween Havoc, which was a special edition of WWE NXT 2.0, as Toxic Attraction’s Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne defeated Io Shirai & Zoey Stark and Indi Hartwell & Persia Pirotta in a triple threat Scareway to Hell ladder match to win the titles.

WWE decided on the stipulation thanks to the Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal. Leading up to the finish,  Hartwell sent Shirai tumbling off a ladder and crashing onto another ladder. When Hartwell tried to climb the ladder, she was knocked off the ladder by Dolin, which got the titles.

Dolin and Jayne become the fifth team to hold the NXT Women’s Tag Team titles since they were introduced this March. Io and Sarks held the titles for 112 days after beating Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell for them back in July.

On this same show, Toxic Attraction leader Mandy Rose challenged Raquel Gonzalez for the  NXT Women’s Championship in a Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal match.
