– TNA has booked three more Impact Wrestling tapings at the Manhattan Center’s Grand Ballroom in New york City. Aside from next month’s shows on June 25th, 26th and 27th, TNA will be taping three more shows on August 5th, 6th and 7th.

Global Force Wrestling has released the latest installment of their “The Journey” video series, featuring Part 2 of their interview with hardcore legend Mick Foley. Foley talks about the state of independent wrestling, breaking into the business and CM Punk’s decision to leave WWE. He included the caption:

“The first part got some great feedback, and I think this one will too. As long as we live in a world where Dolph Ziggler can’t get a push, there need to be options for aspiring wrestlers.”

Foley later wrote the following on Twitter regarding Dolph Ziggler:

“The purpose of my post. I’m not to suggest that @HeelZiggler join @GFWWrestling – just using him as an example of how subjective @WWE decisions can be. I do agree that #DolphZiggler is a terrible ring name. A couple years ago, I sent a very detailed e-mail to the powers that be with a suggestion of how he could get out of the name, and simultaneously garner some mainstream media attention…but never heard back from those in charge”

On whether Frankie Kazarian will be departing TNA soon: “I can’t really confirm 100% but I can tell you that the odds are very good that rather soon the both of us will be doing what we want to do in the world of professional wrestling.”

On why he was released by TNA: “I’m not sure what their reasoning was. It wasn’t money, we never even got to (talking about) money. Part of me takes it personally. Anybody that is in some sort of entertainment field where they are their own product, when you’re told “No, we don’t want you”, of course a little bit of you takes it personally.”

On rumours that Vince Russo is back in the TNA fold: “I never saw Vince, and the creative team never said one way or the other. They’re denying it now, but when I was backstage, Frankie and I never saw any hint that Vince was there.”

On the likelihood of working with Jeff Jarrett’s new promotion: “I’m certainly hoping to work with Jeff Jarrett, I think he’s a great mind. I think that if someone could take something and make it out of nothing, I think it’s Jeff Jarrett.”

On breaking kayfabe: “I definitely respect the business enough to try and protect it as much as possible. When I came up, kayfabe was solid, but now I’ve seen the change in the mentality. The curtain has been pulled back and it’s hard to unring that bell now the word is out. It’s one thing for everybody to be in on the gag, but you don’t want to make people aware of it while they’re watching the product. Like, people know there’s a gimmick to magic, but they never really know what the gimmick is. You want them guessing what they’re watching.”

CANADA TO HOST FIRST OFFICIAL GLOBAL FORCE TALENT SEARCH

NASHVILLE – Global Force Wrestling will hit the road for its first official talent search and seminar, which will take place on June 1 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

GFW CEO and founder Jeff Jarrett knows well the great tradition of pro wrestling in Canada and the number of top stars the country has produced. He and Owen Hart of the legendary Hart Family were WWE tag team champions, and several Canadian stars made names for themselves while in Jarrett’s TNA promotion.

The seminar also will reunite Jarrett with renowned pro wrestling trainer Scott D’Amore, who will help conduct the event at the North American Sports and Hobby Expo inside the WFCU Centre. D’Amore brought Team Canada to TNA, and he also trained such current indie wrestling superstars as Chris Sabin, Alex Shelley, Petey Williams, Rhino and Tyson Dux.

“Professional wrestling is part of the DNA of Canada,” Jarrett said. “It felt like a natural not only to have our first official talent search there but to have it under the tutelage of Scott D’Amore, a longtime friend and as knowledgeable as anyone when it comes to discovering and fostering talent.

“Coupled with our partnership with Mexico’s AAA promotion, this is another key step in establishing the reach of Global Force Wrestling.”

Jarrett and D’Amore will evaluate the wrestlers in attendance as they engage in brief matches and cut promos.

The fantasy draft is currently underway and will run through Sunday, May 11th.

GFW REACHES AGREEMENT WITH TOP MEXICAN PROMOTION

NASHVILLE – Global Force Wrestling has reached a partnership agreement with AAA, the top wrestling promotion in Mexico for more than 20 years.

The companies will exchange talent for events in both the United States and Mexico. AAA started in 1992 and quickly became the most exciting professional wrestling promotion in Mexico.

“AAA is happy to continue our relationship with Jeff Jarrett and now with his newly formed wrestling promotion Global Force Wrestling,” said Dorian Roldan, executive vice president of AAA. “I believe it’s imperative that wrestling organizations have talent exchanges because it’s good for the industry and wrestling fans around the world. It exposes them to different talent and different styles that will bring a unique perspective to GFW.”

Jarrett, the founder and CEO of GFW, and his wife, Karen, have regularly appeared in AAA and have headlined their signature event TripleMania.

“I’ve had a working relationship with the family that owns AAA for the past 10-plus years,” Jarrett said. “Karen and I have seen firsthand the passion of the wrestling fans throughout Mexico.

As of right now, there are no concrete plans for Jeff Jarrett’s new Global Force Wrestling promotion to run any television tapings or live events in the near future.

The GFW promotion was originally looking at late 2014 or early 2015 to begin running events, however the latest word is that they may have some events in October or November.

Jeff Jarrett and Karen Jarrett have posted episode two of Global Force Wrestling (GFW) web-series, “The Journey.”

The video, which you can view above, is accompanied by the following description: “This week #TheJourney takes us from Mexico City to New York City, as Jeff & Karen Jarrett allow us to peek into their lives as they build Global Force Wrestling!”

Former NASCAR driver and current Fox Sports 1 NASCAR correspondent Hermie Sadler has accepted a position on the Global Force Wrestling Board of Directors, according to a report at Newsday.com.

Sadler, who worked as a backstage interviewer for TNA, told Newsday,

“Just trying to get the word out about the brand, and let as many people know that there’s another wrestling promotion that’s coming,. What I’d like to do is kind of like what I did with TNA a long time ago, maybe pick a territory and do some live events,” Sadler said.

Sadler said that Global Force is aiming to start running shows this fall and added, “they’re not going to be like traditional wrestling shows.”

As noted earlier this week, the Global Force logo will be appearing on one of Sadler’s cars at the “Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown” next Thursday at South Boston Speedway in Virginia.

Jeff Jarrett’s Global Force Wrestling has announced “strategic partnership” on Tuesday with Los Angeles-based 25/7 Productions to produce GFW shows for television.

In a press release issued on Tuesday, Jarrett touted that 25/7 Productions will “lend a unique perspective both in and out of the ring.”

25/7’s Dave Broome created NBC’s hit show “The Biggest Loser” and has produced several live TV specials. He stated:

“It’s easy to get excited about Global Force Wrestling when you get to know Jeff Jarrett and see his passion and understand his vision. He’s eager to bring a new perspective to professional wrestling, and we’re eager to help him achieve that goal.”

The press release also noted that GWF has built a database of over 500 performers that they can tap for signing talent.

Jeff Jarrett’s Global Force Wrestling was scheduled to make a big announcement today regarding a talent signing, however Jarrett just tweeted that the announcement has been postponed:

“Well GFW fans…. Good news, bad news today… Bad news, no announcement today… Good news, it will be made tomorrow! The reason for the one day delay is because of a major Hollywood publication needs one more day for exclusivity purposes.

Jeff Jarrett recently spoke to The Tennessean and commented on his new Global Force Wrestling promotion.

Jarrett continues to tout that the wrestling business is on the verge of another boom period, which makes it an opportune time for him to launch the new company.

“Our world is getting so much smaller with technology and we live off our phones, so information is shared instantaneously,” Jarrett said. “That’s right up wrestling fans’ alley, so they can swap stories from around the world.

“Wrestling, I wouldn’t say it left mainstream over the last 10 years, but it certainly wasn’t as prominent as it was in the late ’90s. I think it’s really about ready to step back into the mainstream.”
