After issuing his regular weekly challenge, Cena waited to find out who was going to accept, only for WWE Hall Of Famer Bret “The Hitman” Hart to come out to wild applause from his Canadian fans.

Heath Slater, who has been out of action for a while dealing with personal issues stemming from an alleged domestic violence incident with a security guard at the official WrestleMania after party in 2011, worked a dark match at the WWE SmackDown television taping in Colorado Springs, Colorado on Tuesday night. The charges against Slater were dropped due to the statute of limitations expiring on the case.

The simple assault charges filed against WWE Superstar Heath Slater (aka Heath Miller) have officially been dropped.
MyFoxAtlanta.com reports that the charges against Slater were dropped because the statute of limitations had expired.
The charges alleged against Slater stemmed from a female security guard who claimed that she was assaulted by the WWE performer at the WrestleMania after-party in 2011.
Slater has not appeared on WWE television since an arrest warrant was issued for him back in December of 2013. He issued a statement shortly after the news of the arrest warrant surfaced, claiming that the charges and civil suit brought against him were “completely frivolous.”
As noted last week, Heath Slater has been taking time off from WWE for what the company is describing as “personal reasons.” Those reasons stem from the alleged domestic assault incident from the WrestleMania after party in 2011.
Due to Slater’s absence, WWE decided to officially drop the “Slater Gator” tag-team with Heath Slater and Titus O’Neil. Everyone within WWE had been praising Slater’s work in getting over what was viewed as a lower card comedy gimmick.
It appears as though the team of Tyson Kidd and Cesaro was put together due to the fact that the Slater Gator team was dropped, as a way to fill the hole left in the heel-end of the tag-team division.
On non-televised live events, Tyler Breeze has been brought up from NXT to work with O’Neil against Los Matadores.
It appears as though WWE has given Heath Slater time off while he deals with legal issues stemming from an alleged assault incident at the WrestleMania 27 after-party a few years ago.
As noted earlier this month, a misdemeanor arrest warrant was issued for Slater. Slater subsequently issued a statement claiming his innocence and pointing out his confidence that the charges would ultimately be dismissed. WWE also issued a statement and claimed they would take the appropriate action once they received details on the warrant.
Slater’s last WWE match was at the SmackDown tapings on November 25th, just one week prior to the arrest warrant being issued. NXT star Tyler Breeze has apparently replaced Slater on the current holiday tour.
WWE Superstar Heath Slater has issued the following official statement in regards to the controversy surrounding the arrest warrant issued for him for an alleged 2011 domestic violence incident.
Following the news that an arrest warrant has been issued for WWE Superstar Heath Slater, WWE has issued the following official statement regarding the matter.
“WWE has been advised that a misdemeanor arrest warrant has been issued against Heath Miller (aka Heath Slater), but we have not seen a copy or been provided with the underlying charges. Once this information is received by WWE, we will take the appropriate action.”
Atlanta police have issued a warrant for WWE Supersatar Heath Slater (real name Heath Miller) stemming from a 2011 incident at the WrestleMania 27 afterparty at the Hyatt Regency hotel.
According to Atlanta’s FOX-5 television, Corinne Oliver, who was working security at the event, accuses Slater of putting her in a chokehold and attempting to get her into an elevator, with the intent of dragging her back to his room. She alleges to have suffered damage to five vertebrae in her back.
Oliver reported the incident to her supervisor on the morning of the incident and then waited nearly three months to file a police report. She claims that she waited for her supervisors at Allied Barton Securities to file a police report, which they never did.
She has also claimed that other wrestlers witnessed the incident and did nothing to help her. The police report described the incident as a “simple assault/battery.”
WWE attorney Jerry McDevitt issued a statement after the charges were filed, stating that the charges were filed against Slater individually and not WWE.
The new faction, “A New Day,” made their official WWE debut on Friday’s edition of SmackDown, as Xavier Woods, Big E. and Kofi Kingston defeated Curtis Axel, Heath Slater and Titus O’Neil in six man tag-team action.
After the show, Woods tweeted the following about the group finally making their television debut.
EVENT: WWE Superstars FROM: Indianapolis, Indiana RESULTS BY: Matt Boone (@MBoone420)
The following matches were taped in Indianapolis, Indiana on Monday night, prior to the post-Survivor Series edition of RAW, for this week’s WWE Superstars episode.
-Jack Swagger def. Curtis Axel in the opening match of the taping. Swagger, who was accompanied by his manager, Zeb Colter, received an outstanding ovation from the fans in attendance. Axel, on the other hand, received basically no reception at all.
– The Usos def. The Slater Gators in a decent tag-team contest which served as the main event of the taping. The team of Heath Slater and Titus O’Neil garnered a decent comedic reaction throughout the bout, as this was basically designed as a goofy, fun style match.
WWE Superstars is being taped live right now in Liverpool, England. Below are spoiler results of the taping.
– Sin Cara def. Curtis Axel in the opening bout. The match lasted about five minutes. Oddly enough, Axel got a pretty strong reception from the crowd. In the end, Sin Cara picked up the “W” after hitting Axel with a Swanton for the pin.
– Big E. def. Heath Slater in the second match of the taping. Slater actually got a great reaction from the fans in Liverpool. Big E. was boo’d by the crowd, as he worked as a heel throughout the match. Slater got a mini-comeback spot near the end of the match, however when all was said and done, Big E. picked up the pinfall victory.
– After weeks of anticipation, The Bunny from Adam Rose’s “Rosebuds” group finally made his in-ring debut on Monday’s post-Night Of Champions edition of RAW. The Bunny teamed up with Rose to take on “The Slater Gators,” Heath Slater and Titus O’Neil. The Bunny helped lead Rose to victory in the tag-team contest. It’s also worth noting that after JBL pretended on commentary that he’d be absolutely sickened if The Bunny were to trend on Twitter, with Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler egging the situation on, “#BunnyMania” ended up trending number one worldwide on Twitter during RAW.
– As seen on Monday’s RAW, there seemed to be a tease for a possible future name change for one of the Bella Twins. Since the feud began, Brie Bella has already been forced to change her entrance music. On RAW, Nikki Bella declared that from now on she wanted to be referred to as “THE Nikki Bella,” and noted that she wanted Brie Bella to drop the “Bella” name, pointing out that she was recently married and should have taken the last name of her husband as it is. Whether or not this was a throw-away comment or the beginning of a possible stipulation match that leads to a future name change for one of the Bella Twins remains to be seen.
