– The movie “Guardians of the Galaxy,” which stars Batista, finished number one at the box office yet again in its’ fifth weekend, earning $16.31 million for the weekend. The Rock’s movie “Hercules” is now down to 337 theaters and earned an estimated $600,000.
– Alberto Del Rio is currently being advertised to appear at the AAA events in Puerto Vallarta on September 13th and 14th.
Batista’s movie “Guardians of the Galaxy” finished number one again in its’ fourth week at the box office, earning $17.63 million this weekend, bringing its’ total to $251.88 million.
By comparison, The Rock’s “Hercules” film, which is in its’ fifth week, did not place in the top 15 this weekend, expected to earn $830,000 for a domestic total of $69.92 million.
In Australia, “Guardians of the Galaxy” finished at number one as well, while The Rock’s “Hercules” finished at number five.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has confirmed that he will either play the hero role of Shazam or the villain role of Black Adam in an upcoming DC Comics film project.

The Rock also took to Twitter to thank fans for their support of “Hercules” in its’ Mexico City premiere. Rock tweeted the following:
The movie “Guardians of the Galaxy,” which features Batista in a significant role, opened up with $37.8 million for its’ first day, easily beating The Rock’s “Hercules” film, which didn’t draw as much in its’ entire opening weekend.
To be fair, however, Batista’s film opened up in 500 more theaters than “Hercules.” Additionally, Batista has been receiving great reviews for his work in the film.
– The Rock’s new film “Hercules” did $29,800,263 in its’ opening weekend, finishing second behind “Lucy,” which brought in $43.9 million. While the “Hercules” number isn’t spectacular by any means for an opening of a $100 million budget movie, it was higher than industry projections.
– As noted recently, WWE has added some additional dates to the schedule of Brock Lesnar. As far as the build to SummerSlam is concerned, while Lesnar is only scheduled to appear one more time on RAW, the “go-home” edition of the show on August 11th, there is a chance that he may appear on next week’s show as well.
– Sheamus will be a guest star on this coming Tuesday night’s edition of “Royal Pains” on the USA Network. Below is a preview of the show.

Some new promotional material for The Rock’s upcoming “Hercules” film revealed the following official synopsis, which contains more details about the film than had originally been announced.
“Everyone knows the legend of Hercules and his twelve labors. Our story begins after the labors, and after the legend…Haunted by a sin from his past, Hercules has become a mercenary. Along with five faithful companions, he travels ancient Greece selling his services for gold and using his legendary reputation to intimidate enemies. But when the benevolent ruler of Thrace and his daughter seek Hercules’ help to defeat a savage and terrifying warlord, Hercules finds that in order for good to triumph and justice to prevail… he must again become the hero he once was… he must embrace his own myth… he must be Hercules.”
The film, which is scheduled to be released in July, is based on graphic novel, “Hercules: The Thracian Wars” and will be directed by Brett Ratner.
Additionally, WWE Diva Tamina Snuka has a small role in the film.
– Jim Ross is scheduled to appear on former WWE announcer Jonathan Coachman’s “Coach & Company” on ESPN Radio today.
– The Rock recently told Cinema Blend that nearly 50 people were fired from the new “Hercules” film because they tried to take pictures of The Rock in costume to leak to the media. Rock noted that he and the producers were very serious about keeping the look of Rock as Hercules under wraps. “I would say maybe close to 50 people were fired — crew members — all trying to sneak pictures,” said Rock. “There’s mandate and we all agreed on that.”
– Kellan Lutz, who is portraying “Hercules” in a separate film from the one Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson recently starred in, noted in a recent interview that he was unable to get as big as The Rock did for his role. Lutz even went as far as to say, “There’s not enough ‘extra-curricular’ stuff for that.”

– WWE Superstar Mark Henry has apparently been spotted in Boston, Massachusetts, the site of tonight’s WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view. Henry was seen flying into Boston with WWE agents Billy Kidman and Dean Malenko.
Obviously Henry’s presence in Boston doesn’t necessarily mean that he will be making his return during the show. Some are speculating, however, that he will return to answer the “open challenge” that Ryback is rumored to be a part of on the show tonight.
Part-time WWE Superstar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson recently confirmed the rumors that he will be jumping from filming one movie to the next in a new tweet posted on his official Twitter account on Tuesday. When asked by a fan if he will be going straight from filming “Hercules” to the latest “Fast & Furious” film, The Rock simply replied:
According to the Internet Movie Database, filming for “Fast & Furious 7,” has already begun. The IMDB website also notes that the film will be released on July 11, 2014. All of the regulars from the Fast franchise have apparently signed on, including Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Tyrese Gibson and The Rock. Also scheduled for the film are action-movie stars Jason Statham and Kurt Russell.
-WWE Superstar Ryback recently addressed the rumors that he and CM Punk once had a backstage altercation in WWE during an interview he did with CNN-IBN as part of his promotional work for WWE in India last week. Dwyane “The Rock” Johnson is currently overseas filming the big budget movie, “Hercules: The Thracian Wars,” which is set for a July 25th, 2014 release date. The movie is based on the graphic novel by graphic novel by Steve Moore and Cris Bolsin of the same name and is about the brutal wars Hercules fought in. WWE Diva Tamina Snuka, The Rock’s cousin, will also have a supporting role in the film. With a budget of approximately $110 million, this will be The Rock’s biggest leading role to date.
