-In addition to the new Triple H video interview posted on WWE.com today, the official WWE website has also added a mostly in-character interview with The Big Show. As far as why he can’t fight back against Triple H’s “new regime”, Big Show said,
“There are guys in the locker room who look up to me and they want me to turn loose, they want me to help lead the charge. I don’t know how to express it to them any other way: I’m not in a position now where I can do that. I have things that are personal and important to me that I’m responsible for.”

-WWE Superstar Dolph Ziggler recently spoke with MLive about maintaining and staying positive through the ups and downs of his pro wrestling career. Ziggler stated:
“I love this, I love doing this. I have no desire to switch companies or go to UFC or anything like that. I’m very ambitious, and I’m very outspoken about where I should be and where I need to be in the WWE. I love that I’ve never been one handed anything – ever. If I would’ve have been handed things, I don’t know if I would’ve been able to enjoy it as much. Every time I turn a corner, it seems like the rug is being taken underneath me. It’s like ‘Hey, great job!’ and then nothing. It’s like ‘Hey, wow, look what you can do!’ and I’ll say ‘Thanks, boss!’ and then there’s nothing. And so, it’s hard (to stay upbeat), but you have to deal with it and it makes me hungrier every single day knowing that I’ve scratched and clawed for everything I’ve earned in this business.”

Former ECW star Tony DeVito is this week’s special guest on Justin Credible’s Pro Wrestling 101 video series. Here is an extract from “The Justin Credible Report:
“WWE Raw continues to establish HHH, and Randy Orton as the top heels in the company. I liked the opening segment with HHH and Steph really cementing their roles as heels. HHH then set up Daniel Bryan vs. Big Show for the main event. Fast forward the Shield triple powerbomb Bryan while Show watched. HHH then ordered Show to knock out Bryan, and after much deliberation he did. Fans reacted with a “you sold out” chant, and Show left with HHH, and Steph. Then we saw the 7ft Big Show cry like a little bitch. All jabs aside I liked it, and Show did a very good job selling his emotions”

The following are highlights from a recent WWE.com interview with WWE Hall Of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin:
On if he sees himself in Daniel Bryan: “No, I didn’t see too much ‘Stone Cold’ in [Daniel Bryan], but I saw a young man who could work his ass off in the ring, who had a lot of fire and passion for the business. With that being said, he’s dealing with a very worthwhile adversary in Triple H, a guy with physicality and intelligence on top of that, and of course, he’s got some advice coming from Vince.
“Vince is the ultimate third-generation promoter. He’s been there and done that in every situation that’s ever been done in the history of sports-entertainment. Triple H is gonna lean on him for some resources. Young Daniel Bryan must stay the course and maintain his intensity.”
On Daniel Bryan’s battle with authority and Triple H/The McMahon’s: “It’s a complete parallel, and obviously a decade removed with two cats in these different roles … but it’s a complete parallel with what went on between myself and Vince. Still, he isn’t expecting Bryan to break out a beer hose so much as use his unique opportunity to cement his place as a top-tier performer against the most powerful of enemies.
“I know what [Triple H’s] mentality is, and he’s been hanging around Vince for so long. Right now, he’s playing the ultimate game with young Daniel Bryan … I look for similarities in situations and setups, but also for [Daniel Bryan] to push the envelope and come out of the box strong.”
On his thoughts on Triple H’s rise through the ranks in WWE: “Man, I’ll tell you what: Back in the day when we were having heated battles in the ring, all over the world, and hell no, I didn’t see it coming. But just goes to show they didn’t call him The Game for nothing. He’s a smart S.O.B.
“I think the guy loves the business enough that he didn’t want just any hand in it, he wanted to be at the top and planned his ascent accordingly. I think he was looking way farther down the road than a lot of guys do.”
On advice for Daniel Bryan: “If I could offer any advice to Daniel Bryan, I would tell him to be aggressive. Trust your gut instincts. The best defense is a good offense, and always be on the attack. But, sometimes, lay in wait. I think Triple H’s ego may mirror Vince’s ego. Sometimes, as cerebral as he is, his ego may get the best of him and you’ll be able to spring an attack on him.
“With all these corporate shenanigans going on, he has to stay true to himself. Whether he gets the title back or overthrows the regime, that’ll come out in the wash. He must remember to stay focused about who Daniel Bryan is: A fiery competitor who loves the business and continues to make a name for himself; the guy who [supposedly] didn’t have the ‘It’ factor, wasn’t big enough, wasn’t good-looking enough. … He’s gotta stay the course and prove that — yes — he’s all that and more.”

There will be more follow-up on the World Heavyweight Championship program, which features champion Alberto Del Rio and his former manager Ricardo Rodriguez, who is now with Del Rio’s opposition, Rob Van Dam. They will continue the build to their title bout at the upcoming Night Of Champions pay-per-view.
The full talent roster advertised for tonight’s show in Des Moines is as follows: Orton, Bryan, Punk, Heyman, Axel, HHH, Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, Del Rio, Van Dam, Rodriguez, Mark Henry, Dolph Ziggler, Big Show, Wade Barrett, AJ Lee, Kaitlyn, The Shield and The Wyatt Family.
The scheduled dark match main event for tonight’s show is The Shield vs. Rob Van Dam, Mark Henry and The Big Show. With Henry being injured, plans for that match may be off the table.
WWE RAW emanates from the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona tonight for the first full-show without the John Cena.
Expect heavy focus tonight on the build to the Randy Orton vs. Daniel Bryan WWE Championship match at the upcoming WWE Night Of Champions pay-per-view in September.
Confirmed for the show tonight is a non-title match between WWE Intercontinental Champion Curtis Axel, with his manager Paul Heyman, against CM Punk. Regarding the title, there are rumors that the Axel-Punk match will indeed be for the I-C Championship.
Also on tonight’s show is the latest drama from the McMahon Family Takeover, as Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon and Triple H are all advertised to appear this week.
Additional talent advertised to appear in Phoenix tonight includes Alberto Del Rio, Rob Van Dam, The Shield, Mark Henry, Big Show, Ryback, The Wyatt Family, Dolph Ziggler, Big E. Langston, AJ Lee and Kaitlyn.

Celebrity-gossip website TMZ.com has an article up about WWE Superstar Triple H and his wife, Stephanie McMahon, doing some boxing training this week in New York City.
The article notes that the married couple trained with the same guy who taught Hilary Swank how to box for the Oscar winning film, “Million Dollar Baby.”
HHH and McMahon worked out in the ring at the world famous Gleason’s Gym in Brooklyn, where they trained and hit the pads a bit for “Protein Fight Club”, a campaign to promote milk.
TMZ has video footage of the two sparring in the ring. The guy putting them through the motions is Hector Roca, who has trained other celebrities to box, such as Wesley Snipes, John Leguizama and Jennifer Lopez.
The funniest part of the story is that after working with the two, Roca told TMZ that Stephanie showed “real flashes of promise” in the ring. However, when it came to HHH’s “Sweet Science” skills, Roca said, “boxing is not really his sport.”
The following are highlights from a recent Grantland.com interview with WWE’s Triple H:
On his role as head of talent relations for WWE: “Everything that has to do with talent, from the legends to the developmental system, to the live events and all of its operations and the towns we book, to where the pay-per-views are, all of it. Obviously I have a massive team that does all that, but they report to me.
“I started in the office full-time a few years ago. Vince had been bugging me for a while, saying ‘When are you going to stop messing around in the ring and come get a real job?’ So one time when I was injured, I shadowed him in the office for three months. I did everything he did. When I finally started full-time, he was like, ‘Take a few months. I want you to dig into everything. Have meetings with finance, dig into every part of this company and see what you think needs work.’
“And the thing I came back to him with was we have this huge global marketing juggernaut, but we’re a victim of our own success. We’ve shut down all the other territories. There’s almost no place for guys to go learn, and when they do, they’re learning how to work in a junior high in front of 50 people. It’s a completely different thing than working in front of 10,000 or a million on TV with a camera in your face.
“So I started this little division called talent development. It was basically to build a bridge between creative and the developmental wrestlers. Now, other than Vince saying, “OK, you can have that amount of money,” he doesn’t have anything to do with it. Honest to god, he hasn’t even seen the Performance Center yet. He’s supposed to go next week.
On Stephanie McMahon’s role in WWE: “Technically, creative reports to Steph, but Steph is kind of the aggregator. Her office does everything from the magazine to digital to the shows, so it’s funny when people will say, ‘Oh, Steph and the creatives.’ She really doesn’t have anything to do with the day-to-day. I mean, she’ll weigh in on something if Vince asks or if the writers ask her what she thinks before they bring something to Vince.”
On a physical WWE Hall Of Fame building: “Halls of fame are not a lucrative business. But here’s the bigger reason: If and when the time is right to do a Hall of Fame, it’s not just going to be a place where you walk in and say, “Oh, look, there’s a pair of trunks.” If we do it, it’ll be an immersive experience. With technology the way it is, a 4-D experience, whether it’s a ride, or, picture this: You walk into a locker room, lights go down, smoke comes out, and Andre the Giant walks out in a hologram and stands there and talks to you. That’s what it has to be. But is the Hall of Fame the priority? Absolutely not. It’s out there someplace in the stratosphere. But if we do it, it takes a lot of research because we want to do it right.”
On what is written about him on the internet: “I wish I had the brainpower and the wherewithal and the drive to be as maniacal and devious as people f—-ing think I am. I’d be f—ing Darth Vader. I’d run the Empire, and I guess maybe that’s how some people see it, right? They’d say ‘Oh, he went in there and he buried this guy,’ and it’s like, f—, I had nothing to do with that. I didn’t even know he was coming in until I saw him that day.”

Regarding the conclusion to the main event at SummerSlam, many backstage within WWE felt it was a fantastic way to finish the match. Others disagreed, feeling that Daniel Bryan should have won clean and have his moment. The general consensus is with that type of finish, Bryan is continued to fill the “underdog” position in the company, which they feel gives the fans a chance to really rally behind him even more as he continues his chase.
In addition to that, many felt it was somewhat awkward that Bryan wouldn’t kick out of the pin attempt by Randy Orton, considering how much time had passed between Triple H’s pedigree and Orton’s actual pin.
A few people also pointed out how ridiculous it is that a somewhat retired in-ring competitor such as Triple H, would have such a devastating finishing move that it basically out-did annything John Cena attempted in the match, in terms of getting the pinfall on Bryan.
WWE RAW emanates from the Honda Center in Anaheim, California on Monday night with all of the fallout from the WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view. The main focus tonight will be centered around Triple H’s heel turn during the WWE Championship main event between Daniel Bryan and John Cena, as well as his alliance with new WWE Champion Randy Orton.
In addition to Bryan’s reaction to everything that happened on Sunday night, former WWE Champion John Cena is scheduled to appear on RAW tonight.
Following the show-stealing match between Brock Lesnar and CM Punk, “The Beast” is not scheduled to appear tonight, however, Punk and Paul Heyman will both be on the show to continue their angle.
The full talent roster advertised for tonight’s show includes Orton, Cena, Bryan, Punk, Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, Triple H, Rob Van Dam, The Shield, Alberto Del Rio, Dolph Ziggler, Mark Henry, Ryback, Curtis Axel, Paul Heyman, The Wyatt Family, Kane,A.J. Lee and Kaitlyn.
The advertised dark match main event for the live crowd in Anaheim is Cena and Henry vs. The Shield in a handicap match, although with Cena’s injury, one would expect that it will be changed, or scrapped altogether.
-According to reports, there is talk of an angle being shot during the SummerSlam Axxess match between Maria Menounos & Natalya vs. Brie Bella & Eva Marie that will lead to something in some form or fashion on the main SummerSlam pay-per-view.
-Sources are reporting that while Randy Orton may not cash in (although he very well could) he is expected to be involved in the finish of the John Cena vs. Daniel Bryan WWE Championship main event at SummerSlam on Sunday.
-While this comes as no surprise to anyone, there is expected to be some sort of storyline shot in the finish of the Cena-Bryan match, involving Triple H and/or the McMahon’s, that will lead to a major storyline going forward.
As is the case with all major WWE shows, due to last minute changes by the creative team, all of this is obviously subject to change.
The following are highlights from the latest online Q&A from the official website of WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross:
On whether Backlash or Extreme Rules is a better follow-up to WrestleMania: “It all depends on the attractions….the talents invovled.”
On if anyone can match Shawn Michaels in his prime: “NXT will continue to make major contributions to the WWE primary roster over time. Some really good, potential stars there.”
On if RAW and SmackDown should go back to the elaborate stage set ups: “I haven’t given that much thought. Not big on my radar.”
On WWE switching talent from heel to face too often, specifically Alberto Del Rio: “Decision makes, due to the lack of main event depth, are constantly looking for the best roles for their top guys. ADR as a fan favorite was an experiment in my view but he’s a better villain.”
On which wrestling schools are the best: “Start with Lance Storm’s Academy in Calgary and take it from there.”
On if we’ll see the return of “The Stooges” Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco in the current HHH/Vince McMahon power struggle: “Highly unlikely.”
Check out more Jim Ross Q&A online at JRsBarBQ.com.
According to one source, The Wyatt Family is currently considered a pet project of Triple H in WWE these days. The general consensus within WWE is that HHH is grooming the Wyatt Family for a big push, even more so than the one they are currently riding.
One report claims HHH is specifically grooming them for the spot that was one designated for The Shield. Apparently The Shield is about to be bumped down a notch or two in favor of the Wyatt’s.
Past pet projects of Hunter’s included Kharma and Sin Cara. The general feeling there is both of those projects bombed, so “The Game” is expected to go all out when it comes to getting the Wyatt’s over in a major way.
The following are highlights from a recent interview with Triple H from NBC Sports Radio out of Los Angeles:
On Daniel Bryan’s popularity: “I think this is a moment in time – is the torch being passed? Or, is this the moment where John Cena continues to cement himself as the face of WWE for this generation?
“I think with Daniel Bryan, there’s an honesty there. Daniel is what he is – a frumpy-looking, long-haired, bearded guy who doesn’t really apologize for how he looks, but he’s that good in the ring. Historically, when you look back at the business, when you got past the flamboyant Hogan/Macho Man Era, you had the Bret Hart technician, a lot less hype and personality and charisma (who let the in-ring speak). And there’s kind of those shifts back-and-forth… Maybe that’s what it is – I do think Daniel is the cross-over of so many of those factors that make a Superstar big. He’s got charisma, he’s got personality, he’s different, he’s his own man. He’s just Daniel Bryan. And he’s damn good and damn exciting at what he does”
On Hulk Hogan in the WWE 2K14 video game and his place in WWE history: “Hulk Hogan will forever be the face of a generation of WWE Superstars. I don’t know that there’s a more recognizable guy – there’s Rock, there’s Hogan, there’s Cena, and there’s these recognizable characters that become household names. And Hulk Hogan is one of the biggest of all-time – a true legend in our business. No matter what, he will always have that place in the WWE Universe. Always.”
It was announced on WWE RAW that Brie Bella would take on Natalya in a Divas singles match at Sunday’s WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view. All of the girls from the Total Divas reality show will be at ringside for the match.
Also announced on RAW on Monday night was the addition of Triple H as the special guest referee for the John Cena vs. Daniel Bryan WWE Championship main event.
The SummerSlam “go-home” edition of WWE RAW emanates from the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California on Monday, August 12th.
The top match confirmed for this week’s show is CM Punk vs. Paul Heyman in a “man-on-man fight,” as the “Evil Genius” himself revealed on last week’s RAW.
WWE will also wrap-up the final hype for the John Cena vs. Daniel Bryan WWE Championship match at SummerSlam. Hyping up the McMahon’s involvement in the match will be Vince McMahon, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, all of whom are advertised to appear on the show.
Also confirmed to appear on the show this week is “The Beast” himself, Brock Lesnar.
The full roster officially being advertised for the show are John Cena, Daniel Bryan, Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, Triple H, Brock Lesnar, Paul Heyman, Curtis Axel, CM Punk, Alberto Del Rio, Christian, The Shield, Randy Orton, Dolph Ziggler, Big E. Langston, AJ Lee, Kaitlyn, Mark Henry, Rob Van Dam, Kane, The Wyatt Family and The Miz.
The dark match main event advertised for the live crowd in Sacramento, according to SleepTrainArena.com will be a two-on-one handicap match featuring John Cena and Mark Henry teaming up for the first-time-ever to take on the trio of The Shield.
-WWE Superstar Triple H recently put over his best friend, Shawn Michaels, in a new tweet posted on Sunday afternoon. The former WWE Superstar wrote on Twitter, “I got stopped & searched by TSA airport security today because I had too much cash in my bag. What a hassle! ;-)” The tweet was accompanied by a photo of Hardy holding up a sign that sarcastically read, “You don’t understand how hard it is to be Matt Hardy.”
-“WrestleMania” trended worldwide during the airing of the WrestleMania 29 special on NBC on Saturday night. “WrestleMania” reached as high as the number two spot, trailing only “#UFC163,” which trended worldwide at number one throughout most of the entire UFC pay-per-view show from Brazil on Saturday night.
-Also trending worldwide on Twitter, peaking at the number three spot, was “#RedneckIsland,” the CMT reality show hosted by WWE Hall Of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. Austin encouraged fans to help him get the show trending, as he wrote on Twitter just before the start of the season finale of show, which aired on Saturday night, “Come on, folks. Lets get #redneckisland trending. RT like a sumbitch and hash tag redneck island.” Austin then proceeded to post nearly 50 tweets himself with the hash tag, “#RedneckIsland,” many of which were complaints about commercials and comments about how much beer he was drinking while watching the show.

If I were to say what it could be, think of it as something that has shows or live interactive things for fans. For example, something like a 4-D experience where the fan would come face-to-face with a 3-D Andre the Giant – something along that scale.”
-The Xtreme Sports Entertainment (XSE) mixed-martial-arts promotion announced an appearance by former WWE Superstar Dustin “Goldust” Rhodes for their next event, which is scheduled for Saturday, July 27th in Melbourne, Florida. Goldust will be doing a meet-and-greet with fans at the live event.
