  • Original Plans For Hogan vs. Sting, Bischoff’s TNA Status & More

    – After announcing that Hulk Hogan would be returning to the ring at Bound For Glory and wrestling his longtime rival Sting, there were plans for Ric Flair to be added to the match, making it a 3-way match. Considering Hulk Hogan’s lack of mobility and the history between all three men, TNA officials were hoping that adding Flair to the match would take pressure off Hogan and Sting and allow for more low-impact gimmick spots to be used in the match.

When Flair got injured during his match with Sting on Impact several weeks ago, plans to include Flair in the Hogan-Sting match were dropped and the no-DQ stipulation was added to Hogan-Sting.

    – As reported here on the site yesterday, Hulk Hogan has signed a new deal with TNA just days before his previous deal was set to expire. A TNA source has confirmed to us that it’s virtually guaranteed Eric Bischoff will be renewing his deal as well.

    – Hogan is in Los Angeles this week filming new commercials for Rent-A-Center with NFL Legend Troy Aikman.

  • Karen Jarrett Upset With False Statements Made By Hulk Hogan

Hulk Hogan discussed Kurt Angle’s recent arrest for driving under the influence during an interview with Busted Open and said ex-wife Karen told him Kurt’s a horrible driver and that she didn’t allow him to drive their children during their entire marriage. Hogan said:

“The Kurt Angle thing, I don’t know what to think of it yet. They said he blew, you know, and he wasn’t drinking. I can’t even begin to go there, I’m not going to put Hulk Hogan’s opinion over what the legal system comes up with, because I don’t even know what we are talking about with Kurt. I don’t know what the facts yet, I don’t know what’s going on.”

“You know I talked to his wife and she said he’s a horrible driver. The whole time they were married she wouldn’t even let him drive the kids. He texts when he drives, he’s great in the ring as far as focusing but his people skills are horrible. He’s got two left feet, and it translates into his driving. I’m not making any excuses for him, but I want to know what the facts are before I pass any judgement.”

Karen, after reading Hogan’s remarks, wrote on Twitter,

“People should never make false statements and say they had conversations with people they didn’t!!!!”

She then requested an interview with another wrestling news site via their Twitter page, so she could “set the record straight on Hogan’s comments.”

The Vice President of the Knockouts Division added:

“One thing EVERYONE needs to know about myself…DON’T mess with my family!!!! If you do..GOD help you!!!!”

  • *Spoiler* Hulk Hogan’s Major Announcement Revealed

TNA star Hulk Hogan announced on Twitter this week that he would be making a special announcement on the September 29th edition of TNA Impact Wrestling.

Hogan’s announcement was that he would be wrestling his last match ever at TNA Bound For Glory. Hogan said he would give more information at TNA’s next Impact taping on September 21st from Knoxville, Tennesse – which will air on Spike TV on October 6th.

Hogan is currently scheduled to wrestle Sting at Bound for Glory, but it’s been said that this match will almost certainly not take place as a singles match and at least one more competitor will be added to make this a triple threat match or a tag team match.

At this time, there’s no confirmation as to whether Hogan is actually retiring at Bound For Glory or if this is just a work. • Lethal Says Hogan Wanted To Bring Savage To TNA Last Year

Jay Lethal participated in an interview with WorldWrestlingInsanity.com. Highlights from the interview are as follows:

As most fans know, Ring of Honor is embarking on a new chapter. Recently bought into by Sinclair Broadcasting, the company is set to make its TV debut with Sinclair on September 24th. Returning to the Ring after over six years, Lethal quickly captured their TV championship. As James Guttman points out, joining ROH during such an exciting time has to be great for any star. But for someone like Jay, who was there early on, the homecoming has to be sweeter. As Lethal explains to ClubWWI.com members, it is…

“Now that I’ve been back, how has it changed? I can tell you, the only two things that have changed are a few faces because a couple of Ring of Honor guys are still there from when I was there and Sinclair backing them. I am very big on promoting the fact that Ring of Honor has always had one of the best wrestling products out there. It’s just their only flaw was that they were unable to get this product out to the masses. Now they actually have that opportunity with Sinclair Broadcasting Group having bought out the company and being the new engine in the car, so to speak.”

James then mentions that Aaron Wood, a writer for WorldWrestlingInsanity.com, is flying into New York from Scotland this weekend and the top of his priority list was to attend the Ring of Honor Death Before Dishonor iPPV on Saturday. Guttman along with other site writers Matt Dawgs and Canadian Bulldog will be there too (https://www.rohwrestling.com/news/new-york-ny-sept-11th/). As such a pull factor for viewers – even from across the globe – Ring of Honor’s momentum seems to be going strong. It leads JG to ask a question he’s asked others. With all the talk of TNA challenging WWE, is the idea of ROH challenging TNA more believable? Is TNA’s race against ROH actually closer than the one they have with WWE? As someone who’s worked for both, Lethal tells ClubWWI listeners his thoughts and why…

“Not only is that believable to me, but it’s very conceivable, I think, to many of the fans out there, especially Ring of Honor fans – although they may be a little bit biased. But so am I because I’ve worked for both companies. I was just recently let go by TNA and I’d hate to make it sound like I’m very bitter, but I wasn’t the only one let go. There were a handful of my friends. Not just friends, but also great wrestlers were let go and I just don’t understand the reasoning behind it… As a company, if you have anybody on your roster, you’d want to find what they do well and feature that one thing.

“I think that’s one thing that TNA isn’t doing. That’s one flaw that they’re lacking for the bottom half of their show, anyway. Ring of Honor, from top to bottom, their whole product is about wrestling. We’re not trying to focus on storylines and talking and all the boring this and that. Our main focus, which is pretty cool – we’re going to get wrestling fans, because we’re about wrestling – but another aspect that we’re reaching for that WWE and TNA doesn’t seem to be reaching for is that UFC fan. UFC fans are driven by competition. Because that’s what UFC is. It’s real. It’s a competition. And that’s what we’re trying to center our Ring of Honor product on. I definitely think that we have a great chance in overtaking TNA, if they’re not careful.”

Jay speaks about specific friends let go from TNA and his feelings overall about the company’s strengths and weaknesses. For him, though, his biggest strength in Total Nonstop Action wasn’t a creative decision as much as his own impression skills. As “Black Machismo”, Jay was known for his spot-on Randy Savage impersonation. But the question that James always wondered was whether Savage was ever approached to come in. It would make sense, right? Well, during the ClubWWI.com discussion, Jay says it wasn’t a consideration and seemed to be more along the lines of thinking that Randy wouldn’t do it if asked. That is, until Hulk Hogan arrived and had an idea that sounds like many other ideas credited to him…

“Hogan came in and a couple of months from Hogan being there, he actually said he was talking with the Macho Man and working it with him to come in. Hogan actually sat me down and explained the whole thing he wanted to do too. He wanted to film vignettes of me going to Hogan, me getting Hogan pissed off, and Hogan yelling at me. Then the next time you see me, I’m at a bar and I’m talking to somebody and you can’t really see him because they’re in the shadows. But they have that Savage hat on.

“Eventually you hear Savage say that we’re getting Hogan right where we want him. We’re getting under his skin. We got him, got him, got him. So it was going to be one of those things where I’m trying to get under Hogan’s skin because that’s what Savage has me doing. Then Savage comes in and it was going to be a big attack on Hogan. That was the original plan from what I was told. I don’t know if that was ever really going to happen, but that’s what Hogan told me personally.”

James Guttman remarks that it’s funny how many of Hulk Hogan’s TV ideas usually involve people attacking Hulk Hogan. They laugh and go on to discuss Savage’s original TNA run in 2004 and more. Follow Jay on Twitter at @thelethaljay. And remember, Jay Lethal is just one of hundreds of stars available as soon as you sign up to ClubWWI.com. Over one hour with Jesse Ventura. Over two hours with Jerry Lawler. And over a thousand hours of audio – all ready to listen to right now.

  • Hogan On Angle & Hardys’ Problems, Returning To The Ring

Hulk Hogan appeared on Busted Open, which airs every Monday and Wednesday on Sirius 92 and XM 207 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Highlights from the interview are as follows:

On whether he feels pressured to get back in the ring: “You know what it is, brother, it’s not pressure, I want to help. But then when I see myself in the ring, and I see myself on a good day, and I say okay, passable. But when I see myself on a bad day, and I’m trying to swing a chair and my body hurts so bad I can’t even swing it I go man, you shouldn’t be in there. I don’t feel pressure, but I want to help. But I want to help without destroying the product, I want to help without going oh my God, Hogan really sucks. You know, I would really like to do something, you know I don’t know how to find that sweet spot because I do all my vitamins, and drink all the fish oil and do all the stuff that you do when your trying to stay as healthy as you can.

“And then everything is fine and I feel great today, but tomorrow I can come in here and barely be able to get out of the chair and go well what did I do different? So I don’t know what’s going on, I guess its old age, I’m 58 years old, but that’s what’s got me. I can’t determine if I say okay today I’m like to get in the ring and hit you over the head with a baseball bat, or pull your leg, or hit you with a pair of knucks, you know. It’s a great thought, but I just don’t actually know until that moment how I’m gonna feel. It’s the weirdest feeling. So I want to help, I don’t feel pressured to get in the ring but sometimes I get a little sketchy thinking okay is this going to be a good day or a bad day.”

On guys like Matt and Jeff Hardy screwing up: “To see these guys step outside the parameters of what is expected in and out of the ring and screw up, you know? I mean come on. This business is a lifeline for me and for Vince, and for Dixie, and for Eric and for everybody that love this business, and RVD and Cena and everybody. And all of a sudden, you’re in or you’re out. You’re either all the way in the business or your all the way out. And when you screw up and when you don’t care, to me it shows that you don’t have it in your blood. And that’s what kills me. Because the party’s over man, this is business. And for them to step outside the lines and hurt a small upstart company like this, that’s doing a great job, that’s got huge opportunities, that’s where the hair on the back of my neck raises, because it’s not cool.

On the legal troubles of Jeff, Matt, and Kurt Angle: “You know the Jeff Hardy stuff, you know I kind of saw a little pattern and I’m kind of glad he is breaking the cycle. He’s saying he’s gonna break the cycle, and everything he said so far has been true to this point. You know the proof is in his actions in the long run. The Matt Hardy thing came out of nowhere because Matt Hardy, I don’t know him very well. Everytime I saw him and talked to him he was on point, we would talk about the show and what he was going to do in the ring, after the performance he would say did you watch? And everytime I talked to him, he was cool. I had no idea he was taking a walk on the wildside, he caught me way off guard.

I don’t know what the facts yet, I don’t know what’s going on. You know I talked to his wife and she said he’s a horrible driver.

You want to be a Diva? Look like one AJ. You look like a cashier that works at my local grocery store.

  • Hulk Hogan Says TNA Isn’t About Skits Or Entertainment

During a recent interview with Go Triad News, TNA star Hulk Hogan made a pretty baffling claim about TNA’s television product.

Hogan, who is known for his over-the-top exaggerated tales (slamming 900 pound big nasty giants, etc.) – had this to say about what sets TNA apart from WWE:

“We’ve got a lot of young guys who are pushing hard. And we’re trying to take our own course of destiny and make wrestling matter again.”

“We’re not really focused on skits and entertainment and backstage antics. We’re more focused on keeping the action as much as we can in the ring.”

DISCUSSION: Comment below and tell us whether you think Hulk is maybe kind of sort of out of touch with reality on this one.

  • Adult Film Clompany Releasing ‘Hogan Family’ Parody (Pic)

This is totally screwed up, BROTHER!

    Oh boy.

With all the Hogan family craziness – Hulk Hogan dating a woman that looks just like his daughter, Brooke denying she has an “inappropriate” relationship with Hulk and the shenanigans of Nasty Nick – this might take the cake.

Adult film company Third Degree Films is releasing a parody based on the Hogan family titled “Official Hogan Knows Best Porn Parody.”

Below is the description of the adult movie .. We can’t make this shit up.

“In this pants-wettingly funny parody, Hulk Hogan has a lot more on his hands than just his wife and kids!

Follow the nation’s favorite wrestling hero and his super-tanned reality TV family as they heat up their Florida mansion with moves you won’t see in the ring! After downing a bucket of steroids and Viagra, the Hulkster calls a hooker to calm him down, giving new meaning to the ‘choke hold’ and ‘piledriver!’

Meanwhile Brooke catches hell for wearing a slutty shirt, which doesn’t seem to bother her boyfriend Bill, and Nick entertains Brooke’s horny friend Lexi, leaving his nerdy pal Linc to get it on with Linda!

With this sex-crazed family all living under one roof, you’ll want to make sure you’ve got a ring-side seat!”

    Sounds like a winner ..

  • Hulk Hogan Responds To Ex-Wife Linda’s Latest Wild Claim

Linda Hogan insinuated this week that Hulk Hogan carried on an intimate relationship with longtime friend Brutus Beefcake. The ex-wife of the TNA Wrestling star appeared on Matty P’s Radio Happy Hour to pitch her recently released memoir, Wrestling the Hulk: My Life Against the Ropes. One question e-mailed into the show asked: “Do you believe that Hulk and Brutus Beefcake ever had an intimate relationship?” She replied:

“Wow, let me think about how to answer this so I don’t end up getting a lawsuit. A little bird told me, ‘Yes, they think they did.’”

Hogan responded to Linda’s remarks via Twitter and said he feels sorry for her.

“Feel sorry for Linda Hogan. I can’t believe how low a person will go, even to lie to hurt others just to stay in her perverted spotlight.”

Last week, a new PETA campaign was unveiled featuring Hulk Hogan’s daughter Brooke, who posed nude (and in a cage) for the animal rights group’s latest ad.

The portrait was unveiled on Thursday night in Miami at Cafeina Lounge – and Brooke has gotten a lot of negative press after her father Hulk was photographed next to his daughter’s nude picture.

Brooke is fed up with the tabloid gossip about her and her father Hulk having an inappropriate relationship and says Hulk was there simply to show parental support.

    Brooke tweeted over the weekend:

“[I’m] SO sick of people saying me and my dad are in some perverted relationship! Go home and do your own thing! Stop picking on me!”

During a recent interview with the Miami New Times, Brooke also explained why she is working with PETA for this controversial new campaign.

“I’ve always had a love for animals, and I’ve seen abuse firsthand. It ignited my passion for saving them even more … The worst part is that they are voiceless in our world, so it’s our job to stand up for them.”

In case you missed it from last week:

  • Hulk Hogan Regrets Passing On Endorsing Foreman Grill

Hulk Hogan continues to claim that he missed out on a lucrative endorsement deal several years ago when he snubbed the idea of endorsing a grilling machine, instead opting for a meatball maker.

The TNA Wrestling Superstar told Avatar star Sam Worthington about his great business regret when the two stars met at last month’s Comic-Con convention in San Diego, California.

Worthington says, “He gave me some investment advice because his manager said to him, ‘You should get into these things, kitchen appliances, put your name on something’.

“The Hulk said, ‘Well, what have you got?’ The manager said, ‘Well, I’ve got this meatball maker… It pounds the meatballs when you (clench arm muscles and press fists together). The Hulk went, ‘That’s fantastic, I want the Hulkamania Meatball Maker!’

“The manager goes, ‘What about the other thing (investment opportunity)?’ He goes, ‘Ah, give that to your other client.’ The other client turned out to be George Foreman, it was the grill! So George Foreman’s made $300 billion and how many people own a Hulkamania Meatball Maker?”

Hogan’s claim differs from the one he made years ago on Hogan Knows Best, where he said he was offered the contract for the grill first, but missed his agent’s phone call because he was “picking up the kids.”
