Warrior Calls Out Hogan, Says “Karma’s Coming To Collect”

Former WWE Champion Ultimate Warrior posted a video yesterday on YouTube calling out Hulk Hogan in response to comments he made about him in a recent interview with HDNet.

VIDEO: Hulk Hogan’s Sitdown Interview With HDNet

The Founding Father of Ring Intensity warns Hogan that he will be revealing truths about him in a video post later this week.

Regarding Hogan, Warrior said, “Hey Terry, I found that bullet man. You know that bullet you were talking about in that sitdown interview when you said, “Ultimate Warrior was given a bullet to kill Hulkamania.” I found it. I found it buried, real deep, inside that huge piece of real estate I still own inside your psyche.

“You know Terry, you’re a real piece of work man, just beautiful in every way. Things you said in that sit-down interview… you know the dots of the statements that you made… and the silly-ass clichés that you used, they just don’t connect man. Someone’s gotta set the record straight. Someone capable. Someone wise enough to do it. And I’m going to do that. I’m going to set the record straight and paint the picture of who you truly are.

“Karma’s coming to collect, Terry. Karma’s coming to collect, big time.”

Hide Your Shirts, Hulkamaniacs! Majesco Entertainment Climbs Into the Ring With ‘Hulk Hogan’s Main Event’ on KinectTM for XBOX 360®

Hulkify Your Living Room as the World’s Most Famous Professional Wrestler Puts the Kapow! in Your Kinect

EDISON, NJ–(Marketwire – May 27, 2011) – Wrestling icon, IMPACT WRESTLING Superstar, and global sensation Hulk Hogan and Majesco Entertainment Company (NASDAQ: COOL), an innovative provider of video games for the mass market, announced today a strategic partnership to develop Hulk Hogan’s Main Event, exclusively on Kinect™ for Xbox 360® for an expected release this fall. Developed by Panic Button LLC, Hulk Hogan’s Main Event is the first performance-based wrestling game on Kinect for Xbox 360 that lets players train with mentor Hulk Hogan as they build their own wrestling personalities and learn the art of showmanship to win over the crowd.

“Hulk Hogan is much more than a wrestling star; he’s a sports entertainment icon with a huge personality, a massive following on Spike’s IMPACT WRESTLING, and immediate recognition across generations of fans,” said Jesse Sutton, CEO Majesco Entertainment. “Partnering with the Hulkster for Hulk Hogan’s Main Event is a dream come true and we’re looking forward to releasing a no holds barred motion-based experience that offers a full suite of over-the-top moves.”

“Listen up, people! You will feel the power of Hulkamania when you step into this game,” said Hulk Hogan. “Whether you are taking the damage or selling the pain, this game will let you unleash your inner wrestler as you hype up the crowd while putting the hurt on anyone that stands in your way!”

Hulk Hogan’s longtime marketing agent, Darren Prince, CEO of Prince Marketing Group, said, “When we started discussions with Majesco on the format of this game we knew it was a perfect fit for Hulk’s global brand.”

In Hulk Hogan’s Main Event, players will learn the ropes from the man himself as Hulk Hogan schools them on delivering the best show for the crowd by emulating famous Hulk poses and performing more than 30 punishing combos. The Kinect sensor tracks players’ every move; the more dynamic the motion, the more high impact the wrestler’s performance is. Players will create their own unique wrestler personality through a robust create-a-wrestler feature including many choices for face, hair, tattoos, outfit, ethnicity, body type, and entrance music. Perform in nine different venues including the backyard brawl, local gym and giant stadium in front of a massive audience. Enter tournament mode for two player tag-team and take turns delivering extreme moves. Best of all, players can wield a variety of damaging objects including metal chairs and ladders to deliver bone-jarring hits to their opponents.

Developed by Panic Button LLC, Hulk Hogan’s Main Event is expected to launch on Kinect for Xbox 360 this fall. Hulk Hogan will be making an appearance at E3 on Tuesday, 6/7/11, courtesy of IMPACT WRESTLING. For additional information, please register at www.HulkHogansMainEvent.com.

Jimmy Hart Talks About Savage & Hogan’s Relationship

Legendary wrestling manager Jimmy Hart appeared on the Busted Open satellite radio show on Monday and of course had a lot to say about the late “Macho Man” Randy Savage.

Here’s a recap of what Jimmy Hart said about how the Poffo family is holding up following last week’s tragedy and the complicated relationship between Randy and Hulk Hogan:

Busted Open satellite radio show with Jimmy Hart
Hosts: Dave LaGreca and Doug Mortman
Airs Mondays and Wednesdays on Sirius 92 and XM 207 from 2-4 ET
Visit Facebook.com/bustedopen for more information

Hart on how is the Poffo family holding up in the wake of Randy’s passing?

“I think since three days since it happened, pretty darn good. Lanny’s always been great. I think what they decided to do too, because I got so many calls from everybody wondering where the funeral is going to be… I know you know it by now too, going to be cremated of course. His ashes are going to be spread on his property. Now, the reason I’m saying this, and its already out there anyhow… Lanny confirmed it too… where his dog Hercules passed away and was buried.

“I think just a little private deal is going to be for Randy’s family, I don’t think he wanted something very very big and that’s kind of the way he was. When he did charities, he never went out there and told people about it or anything and I think donations are going to be sent in in his name are going to be in Tampa for one of the children’s foundations here. I think they’re doing pretty well for it just happening three or four days ago.”

Hart on the relationship between Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan:

“I don’t think it was as bad as sometimes people make it out to be because in the wrestling business, there’s always a little angle right around the corner where people can work together and make a ton of money. I think it ended up pretty well. I think when Hulk was going in to the hospital for one of his operations with his back, Randy happened to be at the same place. He stepped in to the room, said hello to Hulk and everything else.

“At the end, everything was pretty well being put back together again. Sometimes people make more of it than what it really is sometimes but being on this end and hearing a little bit of the scuttlebutt here and there, it was almost like a big wrestling angle. Randy was great, there will only be one Macho Man ever ever, colorful and did some great things nobody ever really knew about because he was so private.”

Rhodes Comments On Randy Savage, Dead Wrestlers Showcased

— WWE Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes spoke with The Associated Press Friday regarding the death of Randy Savage.

“There’s probably five or six of us, with Andre (the Giant) and (Hulk) Hogan and thankfully myself and (Ric) Flair, that, when their names pop up, even if you’re not a fan, you know who in the hell these people are,” said Rhodes.

“You say, ‘I know this guy. I know Macho Man Randy Savage.’ He was part of that breed. We lost a good one… He was a recluse, almost. Whatever he was doing, he wanted that privacy. Yeah, he was out of the picture for 10 years, but he didn’t want to be in the picture.

The article is available here.

— FoxNews.com has posted a slideshow gallery showcasing two dozen deceased professional wrestlers including Randy Savage, Chris Benoit, Miss Elizabeth, Umaga and Giant Gonzalez, among others.

In a trivia note, Savage was the seventh member of the New World Order (nWo) faction to pass away, following Louie Spicolli, Rick Rude, Curt Hennig, Miss Elizabeth, Big Bubba Rogers and Brian Adams.

Hulk Hogan Remembers Randy Savage, Macho Man Tops Google

— Hulk Hogan posted a video sharing his thoughts on Randy Savage, who died in an automobile accident on Friday in Seminole, Florida.

“After ten years of not talking to Randy, we’ve finally started to talk and communicate. He had so much life in his eyes and his spirit. I just pray that he’s happy in and in a better place and we miss him. We miss him a lot,” he said.

“I feel horrible about the ten years that he wouldn’t respond, or he had no communication. This was a tough one.”

— The sudden passing of Randy Savage provoked a tidal wave of online searches pertaining to the wrestling legend as ‘macho man randy savage’ was the most searched for topic on Google.com Friday night, according to Google Trends. Hulk Hogan was also a top trend.

Savage last topped Google exactly one year ago Friday, due to news surfacing of his marriage to long time girlfriend Lynn.

Who Is Behind TNA’s Rebranding, TNA’s PPV Buyrates, Reality Star

– While the official numbers are not publicly released, we have approximate data regarding how many people are purchasing TNA’s monthly pay-per-view events.

While WWE shoots for the big “1 million buys” mark every year for WrestleMania, it puts a lot in perspective to learn that TNA Bound For Glory 2010 drew just over 30,000 buys. The next most-ordered show of 2010 was Hardcore Justice, which did around 20,000 buys. TNA’s other pay-per-views in 2010 did between 8,000 and 15,000 buys.

– With TNA’s recent image change that included re-branding the Spike TV show and the company’s new “Wrestling Matters” tagline, there has also been a strong push behind the scenes to change the company’s name entirely.

Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff in particular want the name changed, with Hulk Hogan saying in recent radio interviews that TNA does not get taken seriously in high-level business meetings because most people think “tits and ass” when they hear the letters.

– Reality TV star Jessie Godderz worked a dark match before Monday night’s TNA tapings in Orlando, losing to Robbie E. Godderz has worked several TNA dark matches in the past and sat ringside with Dixie Carter at several events.

Picture Of Hulk Hogan’s New Tattoo, Chyna’s TNA Future & More

– Former WWE diva Chyna made her TNA debut last week on Impact Wrestling and wrestled her first TNA match at Sunday’s Sacrifice pay-per-view, teaming with Kurt Angle to defeat Jeff and Karen Jarrett.

As previously reported, Chyna has not yet signed a contract with TNA and is working on a handshake deal at this point. With her spotty track record and TNA’s recent problems involving talent that “like to party” .. company officials are seeing how things go. One of our TNA sources informed us that Chyna has been very easy to work with and there’s a strong chance that she will be making more appearances in the coming weeks.

Chyna did not appear at this week’s Impact Wrestling tapings.

– Chris Harris was at Monday and Tuesday’s Impact Wrestling tapings, but was not used on camera.

– Stan sent word that Sunday’s TNA Sacrifice pay-per-view had 1 hour and 36 minutes of in-ring action. By comparison, April’s Lockdown show had 1 hour and 34 minutes.

Hulk Hogan Talks One More Match, TNA Struggling With PPVs

Here are some highlights of Hulk Hogan’s appearance on The LAW radio show over the weekend:

Wrestling One More Match: “Well it’s a calculated risk, it’s not like ‘Oh my God he’s an idiot with all the back surgeries he’s going to wrestle in Brantford and if he gets knocked down he’s in a wheelchair’ – it’s not that story. If I do get in the ring it’s a calculated risk, these guys are professionals and instead of being body slammed someone can hit me in the throat, rake me in the eye, I can crumble down to the ring or take a bump on the back of my neck and shoulders and not hurt my lower back. There are a lot of ways to do it and if you think of the risk versus reward, it does matter, it’s a pretty foolish thing to think about wrestling after eight back surgeries but then there’s also the love of the business and how I love being around the guys, the fans and you guys so I’m torn between what really makes sense and what I feel. It probably has a lot to do with ego, which I try not to get involved with, I like to take ego when it comes up and put it on the wall and go back to what makes sense so it doesn’t make a lot of sense when you ask the question but it’s a consideration at this point.”

TNA Struggling To Get Viewers To Order PPVS “A lot of it has to do with awareness and the fact that we can get to the people. If I go into my hotel room in Chicago there are certain cable networks that are on like USA Network – there is no Spike TV. I mean a lot of it depends on who you can get to and who you can reach there is a lot more than ‘the fans aren’t buying it’ there is more to the equation and that’s a very shallow statement and that’s not a fact. The people that see it are buying it, there just aren’t enough people seeing it. That’s what it is – it’s creating awareness, a marketing plan we have to work with Spike TV and boost them up the ladder. I don’t know how many cable networks there are in the States if it’s 25 or 35 but in the paper it shows you who the top ten are so if we can get Spike up to that number one position the whole equation would change on how many people are buying it and change the equation and someone wouldn’t say ‘no one is buying it’ well the people that are seeing it are buying it so it’s creating that awareness to make people more aware that the product is there and that they can get it and when they walk into a hotel in Brantford that Spike is available.”

Hogan vs. Sting Discussed, Dixie Carter’s Role, Abyss’ Teeth

-With Hulk Hogan currently training for a possible return to the ring later this year, word out of the TNA locker room is that Hogan is looking to wrestle Sting in the main event of TNA’s biggest show of the year – Bound For Glory, later this year. Yeah we know, that same match headlined WCW’s biggest show of the year (Starrcade) back in 1997.

While a Hulk Hogan vs. Sting match is still a match some fans would pay to see again – it all depends on whether Hogan is physically able to work a match after undergoing more than a half dozen back surgeries in the past year or so.

Related News: Hulk Hogan Says It’s 50/50 That He’ll Wrestle This Year

– Dixie Carter remains the president of TNA Wrestling, despite online reports the contrary. As many know, TNA is funded primarily by Panda Energy, which is owned by Dixie’s  father, Bob. Dixie’s mother Janice began working behind the scenes in TNA earlier this year overseeing the company’s finances. After the tremendous amount of money TNA has spent in recent years signing household names to big contracts and the failed attempt at going live on Monday nights, major changes to TNA’s operations are expected in the coming months to save.

Hulk Hogan Says It’s 50/50 That He’ll Wrestle This Year

TNA’s Hulk Hogan was one of the featured guests on this week’s live edition of the award-winning Monday Night Mayhem radio show.

“The Immortal” Hulk Hogan Discusses His Return To Canada For This Saturday Night’s CWI’s “Brawl At The Bush II” Event In Brantford, Ontario, Why He Holds A Special Place In His Heart For His Canadian Fans, His Recovery From His Latest Back Surgery & Rehabilitation, The Odds Of Seeing Him Step Back Into The Squared Circle For TNA, The Biggest Thing He Has Learned Thus Far In His Time With TNA, How He Was One Of The Last People In TNA To Find About Jay Lethal’s Release From The Company (And What He Had Planned For Him If Lethal Stayed With The Roster), The Current Condition Of Scott Hall, The WWE’s Attempts At Rebranding Their Company, Plus Much More In His Exclusive Monday Night Mayhem Interview!

You can listen to an MP3 of Hogan’s appearance on The Mayhem by clicking here.

Here are some highlights of what Hulk Hogan said about:

The biggest thing has learned thus far in his time with TNA:

“The first thing I learned was to slow down. I thought right away go to Monday nights, do this, do that, make some changes. Number one, it doesn’t happen that way. Dixie Carter owns the company. Her family put their life & blood into this thing, and I’m the ‘Johnny Come Lately’ who’s trying to help them. They have given me an upper hand creatively to help with the direction. We’re trying to make wrestling not the way it used to be, We’re trying to make wrestling like it should be. We are just going to slow down and make sure we are real consistent.”

Returning to Canada (for the first time in nearly ten years) for CWI’s “Brawl at the Bush II” event & why he holds a special place in his heart for his Canadian fans:

“The last time I was in Brantford I can’t even remember who I wrestled, but I’m sure the fans can tell you. The building is electric. The fans are electric. It’s a dream come true to come back, and I’ve been around the block a couple of times, and you guys know all the craziness, but at the end of the day, when you talk about loyal fans & fans that stick up for you and show a promoter who they love: You can’t make them boo somebody they don’t wanna boo, such as what happened the last time I wrestled in Canada against The Rock. The fans in Canada are so loyal, and nobody tells them what to do, and who to love, and who to hate, and that’s why I’m digging coming back.”

Having gone through his latest back surgery & rehabilitation, what are the odds that we will see him step back inside the squared circle to wrestle with TNA:

“That’s a tough question, but as honest as I could be, because I don’t know the answer yet, from four & a half months from back surgery number eight, I would say it’s a 50-50 chance. If you would have asked me this two months ago, I would have said no way. If I could get six & a half months under my belt, I’d pretty much know the answer to that. If I did land wrong or something, I just don’t know if all this hardware & stuff would hold together.”

Hogan Responds To Criticism, Anderson Takes Shot At WWE

— Hulk Hogan refuted criticism that he “never jobs.” He wrote last Friday on Twitter in response to a fan alleging he would not agree to job to wrestlers below his level of stardom: “You mean like Billy Kidman, who beat me 3 weeks in a row. HH.”

— Mr. Anderson took a shot at WWE while cutting a pre-match promo at yesterday’s TNA live event in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

As Anderson yelled “Mr.,” an audience member yelled, “Kennedy!” He stopped and said, “No, he died in a horrible train wreck — a train wreck that can be seen on USA every Monday night!”

Anderson beat Jeff Jarrett via pinfall in the main event.

JR Blog: Hogan Back In WWE, Helms’ Accident, Christian

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross is back with another blog update, which you can read in its entirety over at JRsBarBQ.com. JR talked about a number of topics, including his recent visit to the Legends of the Ring fan convention in New Jersey.

Here are some highlights of what JR said about:

Hulk Hogan Back In WWE: “Do I think that Hulk Hogan will ever return to WWE? This is a classic, never say never answer IMO….BROTHER! Crazier things have happened BROTHER and one could theoretically see some sort of PR role for Hulk down the road. Who knows? Not something that I dwell on to be honest with you BROTHER.”

Randy Orton Defeating Christian: “Christian and Randy Orton had a great, TV match on Smackdown but I don’t buy into the ‘tragedy’ that some fans flooded us with here on our site due to Christian losing the World Title. It isn’t as if the loss ended Christian’s career and who’s to say that ‘Captain Charisma’ won’t regain the title at a later date? Those that truly understand the nature of the genre have a different mindset than those who are knee jerking themselves silly.”

Shane Helms’ Motorcycle Accident: “How’s Hurricane Helms after his near tragic motorcycle accident? Helms and his girl friend were severely injured in a motor cycle accident last week and seemingly just dodged a fatal bullet. My late father would never let me own a motorcycle and I assume situations like this are the reasons why. I wish Gregory Helms and his lady friend only the best in healing and regaining their health. They are both lucky from what I hear to still be with us.”

— Randy Orton is featured on the cover of the June 2011 issue of WWE Magazine, which includes an interview with “The Viper.” Also featured is Edge’s “Final Interview.”

— WWE Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes was unable to make his scheduled appearance at yesterday’s “Legends of the Ring 12” pro wrestling fanfest event due to a death in his family.

*Spoiler* Jeff Jarrett Gives More Info On TNA’s Name Change

SPOILER Alert: The following article contains a spoiler for next week’s iMPACT!:

At Tuesday’s TNA iMPACT! tapings from Orlando (set to air next Thursday, (5/2), Mick Foley was revealed to be the person from “the network” that has been keeping Hulk Hogan in line.

Foley came out and interrupted a promo by Immortal, informing them that TNA iMPACT! will now be known as “Impact Wrestling” – and the show will be “all about wrestling” – a clear jab at WWE, which has been distancing itself from everything “wrestling” in recent months. Later in the show, they actually re-shot the entire segment, with Mick Foley saying that the show is no longer “TNA” – but “Impact Wrestling”.

This led to some confusion as to whether it was the company name that was changing – or just the name of the television show.

In response to the confusion – Hulk Hogan tweeted the following on Wednesday, which appeared to indicate that the “TNA” name is no more:

“No TNA. only IMPACT. HH”

On Friday, TNA star Jeff Jarrett responded to fans asking him about whether it was TNA’s company name that was changing to “Impact Wresling” – or just the iMPACT! television show. Jarrett responded:

“Impact…it’s now Impact Wrestling.”

Based on what we’ve been hearing in recent weeks, there has been serious talk of rebranding the entire company “Impact Wrestling” and phasing out the “TNA” letters in the coming months. However at this point, after a week of conflicting and confusing information, it apears just the television show is being renamed.

*Spoiler* Details On TNA Changing Its Company Name

In response to the confusion – Hulk Hogan tweeted the following on Wednesday, which appears to indicate that the “TNA” name is no more:

“No TNA.  only IMPACT.  HH”

TNA recently registered a trademark for the name “Impact Wrestling” and took over several domain names related to the trademarked name, including “ImpactWrestling.com.”

COMMENT BELOW: If indeed TNA Wrestling will now be known as “Impact Wrestling” .. What do you guys think of the new name? As crappy of a name as TNA was, “IW” doesn’t exactly sound like a catchy name .. What would YOU name the new TNA?

Bret Hart Comments On WWE Banning The Word “Wrestling”

The UK Sun has published a new interview with WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart, which you can read here in its entirety. One of the more interesting quotes was about WWE eliminating the word “wrestling” from the company name and on television.

Hart explains that no matter what you call the company – WWE will always be about wrestling – and takes a swipe at Hulk Hogan in the process (it’s hard to resist):

“I’m kind of scratching my head about that. I don’t know that it makes any difference. Wrestling is wrestling. Call it whatever name you want, it’s still wrestling. I think WWE is synonymous with wrestling. If WWE doesn’t stand for World Wrestling Entertainment then what does it stand for?”

“It may be a case of Vince trying to monopolise wrestling even more than he has. I think a lot of the wrestlers today, judging by the styles they have, they are wrestlers. They are not bodybuilders or powerlifters or strongmen like in the days of Hulk Hogan, where it was more the look. The young stars today don’t want to be Hulk Hogan. They want to be Bret Hart or Shawn Michaels.
