Hulk Hogan Backstage Speech Filmed For WWE Network

Hulk Hogan has been reinstated into the WWE Hall of Fame. Hogan was backstage at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view in Pittsburgh and met with the WWE roster.

According to a report from Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, Hogan’s meeting with the roster was filmed for a WWE Network special.

Earlier this year, WWE expressed interest in Hogan helping others to learn from his mistakes. They issued a statement echoing such sentiment shortly after Hogan was present at the Andre the Giant documentary premiere.

Hulk Hogan Backstage Meeting

“After a three-year suspension, Hulk Hogan has been reinstated into the WWE Hall of Fame,” WWE’s statement reads. “This second chance follows Hogan’s numerous public apologies and volunteering to work with young people, where he is helping them learn from his mistake. These efforts led to a recent induction into the Boys & Girls Clubs of America Alumni Hall of Fame.”

Reports are Hogan was emotional and apologetic as he spoke to the roster. He apologized for embarrassing the company and also warned the roster to be careful what they say.

His daughter, Brooke Hogan, talked about her father’s transformation in the time he’s been away.

“So proud of the true transformation my father has made spiritually & as a human. None of us are perfect, but we can UNlearn old things & learn new ways. Everyone’s evolution is unique to them & Gods timing. Thx to the fans for the endless love. Round 2 here we come.”

Hulk Hogan Boys and Girls Club Hall of Fame

The Boys and Girls Club inducted Hogan into their Hall of Fame as well recently. He was emotional during his acceptance speech.

“And what’s so cool now is working with the Boys Club,” Hogan said during his speech. “I have a chance to help these kids not make the mistake I made, being at the wrong place at the wrong time or saying the wrong words.”

Brooke Hogan On Her Father’s WWE Hall Of Fame Reinstatement, Why Kane Was Attacked

Hulk Hogan’s reinstatement to the WWE Hall Of Fame has been one of the biggest topics on social media today.

Even Brooke Hogan took the time to announce her stance on the situation.

More on Hogan’s reinstatement here.

The Big Limping Machine

It was reported earlier today the Glen Jacobs (Kane) was seen wearing a boot on his left leg as he entered for Extreme Rules today. The attack on today’s PPV was to write in his injury and explain why Kane will be limping in the Team Hell No storyline.

As of last Tuesday, it seems Kane was fine as he showed no sign of injury when working Smackdown.

Hulk Hogan Apologizes To Roster Backstage At Extreme Rules

Newly-reinstated WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan is backstage at WWE’s Extreme Rules 2018 event in Pittsburgh tonight.

Hogan met with the WWE locker room and formally apologized for his racist comments that originally lead to his firing from the company. Hulk acknowledged the meeting on his Twitter account hours before the beginning of Extreme Rules.

“Just met with the @WWE Superstars and on all levels the volume of love and support was overwhelming,” Hogan wrote on Twitter on Sunday. “I’ve been praying for this day and I finally feel like I made it back home. Only Love 4 the #WWEUNIVERSE brother HH”

Earlier today, WWE announced that Hogan had been reinstated into the Hall of Fame after a suspension. Hogan was released and removed from their Hall of Fame after a 2015 sex tape leak where Hogan was recorded making racially insensitive comments with Bubba The Love Sponge’s wife. Following his firing, Hogan successfully sued Gawker Media and is currently in a legal battle with a Cox Media employee who allegedly stole the tape from Bubba The Love Sponge and released it to Gawker.

Hulk Hogan Reinstated Into the WWE Hall of Fame

Hulk Hogan is officially back in the WWE Hall of Fame.

The 64-year old former superstar had been removed from the WWE Hall of Fame and virtually anything else to do with the company after he used racial slurs in a sex tape that was released back in 2015.

The video showed Hogan making racial slurs regarding his daughter’s then boyfriend, who was black, and it cost him a relationship with the WWE.

Hogan made numerous public apologies for his racist remarks as he attempted to rehabilitate his image after the tape was released.

While the two sides remained at odds ever since, there have been plenty of rumors recently that WWE was moving towards a reconciliation with Hogan and now it appears at least one piece of that puzzle is back in place.

“After a three-year suspension, Hulk Hogan has been reinstated into the WWE Hall of Fame,” WWE officials wrote in a statement released on Sunday. “This second chance follows Hogan’s numerous public apologies and volunteering to work with young people, where he is helping them learn from his mistake. These efforts led to a recent induction into the Boys & Girls Clubs of America Alumni Hall of Fame.”

It’s unknown at this time if Hogan’s re-entry into the WWE Hall of Fame will bring him back into the company’s fold in a larger role such as making appearances or potentially working on television again.

There had been rumors that Hogan could potentially appear at an upcoming WWE pay-per-view but again nothing has been confirmed at this time.

At least for now, Hogan is back in the WWE Hall of Fame and will likely find himself reinstated on the WWE’s website and company material after being completely removed for the past three years.

Possible Spoiler: Major Name Spotted In Vicinity Of Extreme Rules

With Extreme Rules PPV being just a few hours away, former WWE Star Hulk Hogan has made a move which is destined to start some strong rumors about his future with the company.

According to Pwinsider Hogan, along with Jimmy Hart flew to Cleveland, Ohio yesterday evening. What’s interesting to note here is that the city is just 2 hours away from Pittsburgh, PA, where the Extreme PPV is being held this year:

https://twitter.com/Adam_bio/status/1018299923756978177

While it’s hard to make anything out of this right now, we noted before how Hulk started talking to the company about a possible return before the Greatest Royal Rumble event in April earlier this year.

Although there is no news about the former World Champion being contacted for the PPV tonight since it’s WWE a possible return is never completely out of question.

It’s worth mentioning here that we don’t have knowledge of a publicly announced Hogan appearance near or in the city in the next few days.

As always, we’ll be having Live coverage of the Extreme Rules PPV on SEScoops tonight.

Hulk Hogan took to Twitter on Sunday to look back at “the biggest turn of all time” and the formation of the nWo with Scott Hall and Kevin Nash.

Hogan concludes his video by saying, “Maybe I should just come back down through the crowd and take over the whole (laughs) WWE for a couple more decades … for life.”

On the 22-year anniversary of the formation of the nWo, Nash posted the following.

– As has been reported, Taeler Hendrix claimed last Wednesday on social media that Jay Lethal sabotaged her career in Ring of Honor in 2017 because she refused to sleep with him. Hendrix worked an indie show on Friday in San Antonio, Texas and fans heckled her over the matter.

While wrestling Barbi Hayden at a River City Wrestling event, fans chanted “Jay Lethal,” “ROH” and a lot worse at Hendrix, according to F4WOnline. She lashed back at the hecklers, although she usually portrays a heel.

Hendrix posted a photo from the show on Instagram and said she “had a great time.”

Hulk Hogan and Edge Recall Winning Tag Team Gold Together

In 2002, Hulk Hogan and Edge won the WWE World Tag Team Championships. They did so by defeating the team of Billy & Chuck on the July 2nd, 2002 Smackdown from the Fleet Center in Boston.

Hogan recently praised Edge on Twitter:

Edge is truly one of the greats in the WWE. Only a neck injury stopped him from surpassing all of us. He knows the business’s inside and out brother. Only love4EDGE. HH

Edge grew up a Hulk Hogan fan. He has spoken of attending WrestleMania VI in Toronto as a youngster frequently. Hogan has not had much luck at WrestleManias in Edge’s hometown, losing high-profile matches each time WrestleMania has been held in the city. Hogan lost to the Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania VI and again to the Rock at WrestleMania 18.

“Coming from the brother brother who inspired me to be a wrestler, this type of compliment will resonate with me until I’m the old, surly, uncool grandpa who tells all the grandkids, back in my day I teamed with Hulk Hogan. And the people went banana! Although they actually did”

Johnny Gargano Grows Up an Edge Fan

Just as Edge grew up a fan of Hulk Hogan, there are Superstars active today who grew up fans of Edge. One of those Superstars is Johnny Gargano. Recently, Gargano posted a photo he took of himself as a kid posing with Edge.

“Hey @EdgeRatedR, Remember on the @EandCPod when I said that the first time we met was backstage at an indy show in 2015?.. A trip to my Mom’s house jogged my memory. That totally wasn’t the first time we met.. This was 2004!”

Edge simply responded with a Tweet which read, “Holy cupcakes and donuts this is awesome!”

Linda Hogan Claims Hulk Hogan Is ‘Hiding’ Money From Her

Hulk and Linda Hogan settled their divorce back in 2007, but it seems the Hulkster is holding out on his ex-wife.

The Hogan’s Divorce Settlement

According to the DailyMail.com, this was the settlement of the Hogan’s divorce is as followed:

  • Hulk Hogan and Linda Bollea were married for 23 years but split in 2007
  • She was awarded 70% of their liquid assets plus properties worth $3m in divorce
  • Also handed an ongoing 40% share in the revenue from Hogan’s businesses
  • Linda now claims the 64-year-old wrestler is refusing to pay
  • She’s demanding he pay her 40% of his earnings or be held in contempt

Linda is claiming that Hogan is committing ‘financial treachery’ from many of his companies and assets in Florida and demands her percentage to be met from the divorce.

The Divorce was settled back in 2007 due to the fact that Hogan was unfaithful in their marriage and Linda could not put up with the decades of affairs no longer.

Terry Bollea (Hulk Hogan) has yet to comment on the claim.

More on the claim can be read here.

Velveteen Dream Responds To Hulk Hogan’s Offer To Manage Him

At NXT Takeover: Chicago II on Saturday, Velveteen Dream had a very Hulk Hogan-esque look to him. This led the Hulkster to comment that he should play the role of Dream’s manager.

Unfortunately for Hogan, it appears Velveteen Dream is not going to be his ticket back to WWE.

Hulk Hogan’s Possible Return to WWE

Speculation regarding Hogan’s possible return to the company increased earlier this year when Hogan attended the premiere for HBO’s documentary on Andre the Giant. Just before the screening, WWE made a public statement regarding Hogan. They said they had reached out to him in order to discuss how others could learn from mistakes he’s made. WWE insisted Hogan was not under contract, however.

In March, it was revealed by Mark Henry that there is a delegation of wrestlers who don’t believe Hogan is ready to return.

”The delegation is pretty much all of the more established African-American wrestlers in the country and in the world, for that matter. Every promotion… there’s not a wrestling promotion that doesn’t house someone from the delegation,” Henry explained.

”I believe that everybody should be given a second chance but I also believe that you have to own your issue, whatever that issue is. You gotta try to make closure on everybody else’s behalf, not just yours.”

Booker T on Hogan Returning to WWE

Booker T has also commented on Hogan’s possible return to the company. While both Henry and Booker agree that people should be given second chances, Booker is more forgiving of Hulk than Henry is.

He made the following statements on his Heated Conversations show:

“The only thing Hogan can do is apologize, atone for it, and we move forward,” Booker said. “Everyone deserves a second chance that’s just the way I am.”

Booker also explained that he believes Hogan was responsible for Harlem Heat receiving a push in WCW.

“I talk about Hulk Hogan being in my corner, back in the day and a lot of the boys they may look at me and say, ‘Why is Booker T talking to [Hogan]?’ Back in the day, if it wasn’t for Hulk Hogan, I don’t know if Booker T and Stevie Ray would have got the push that we got,” Booker said. “Back in the day, Sister Sherri was an intricate detail to Harlem Heat, and our success, and it was all because of Hulk Hogan. Saying ‘Hey man, those are the guys you need to put your money behind.'”

New Day Set For Singles Pushes, Hogan Pitches Velveteen Dream Manager Role

The New Day Set For Singles Pushes

The New Day have been dominating the tag team divisions of WWE for several years now, and it looks like WWE has decided to change things up a bit. Cageside Seats reports that The New Day is set to move out of the tag team division for a while to work as a stable of singles competitors.

Big E is expected to get the biggest push of the three.

Hulk Hogan Wants To Manage Velveteen Dream

Velveteen Dream had a lot of people talking on social media when everyone saw his NXT TakeOver: Chicago in-ring attire. It seemed to be a mixture of Hulk Hogan and Prince Puma of Lucha Underground.

Hogan took to Twitter himself and noted that he’d like to manage Dream, and pitched an “all the gold,HollyWood style” idea as well. Here’s what the WWE Hall Of Famer had to say:

Hulk Hogan Offers An Update On WWE Return Talks

WSVN-TV Entertainment reporter Chris Van Vliet recently interviewed WWE Hall Of Famers Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair at the “Legends Of The Ring” event from the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Hogan was asked about a possible return to WWE in the near future.

The Hulkster revealed that things are moving in that direction rather quickly, and hinted that WWE could simply be holding off for the right place at the right time:

“Things are moving in that direction quite quickly. It’s all about execution and timing and the right place and the right time but things are good.”

Hogan also commented on why he and Flair went face-to-face at WrestleMania during their careers:

“We don’t know. We were on fire. We did some house shows in Chicago, Milwaukee, three or four shows in a row we set all kinds of records all over and we were pushing real hard towards that WrestleMania time and for me I have a personal opinion, the chemistry was so powerful between Ric and I, I hate to say anything bad about any of the other wrestlers, I hate to say anything bad about the company but with Ric and I heading into WrestleMania it kind of took over everything.

“If we would have wrestled at WrestleMania, we would have taken so much of the focus because there would have been the rematch and the cage match, the title would have dropped and hopefully I would have won it back and back and forth. I think that Vince knew that this was such a powerful turbulence between the two of us he could conquer and divide and make it work even better and pretty much that’s what he did. He sent me off in one direction and him in another and we drew money in both directions.”

Ric Flair Says Ronda Rousey Only Signed A 1-Year Contract

According to the 16x World Champion, Ric Flair, WWE’s hottest mainstream celebrity is only signed on through next year’s WrestleMania. Flair’s understanding of the situation is that Rousey is only on a short-term commitment deal as she plans on starting a family.

Flair made the comments during an interview with Chris Van Vliet.

Ric Flair: Ronda Rousey Only Signed To 1-Year Contract

During the interview, the topic turned to Charlotte Flair possibly facing Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 35 next year. It’s possible Charlotte and Ronda will be the first women to headline a WrestleMania.

Flair seemed to suggest Charlotte vs Ronda will need to happen next year as Ronda is only signed to a 1-year deal with the company.

“If they are ever going to put the women where they belong, this is the year because Ronda – I think Ronda only signed a 1-year deal and then she’s out of there,” Flair said. “She wants to have kids and all that.”

Flair and Hogan have been making promotional appearances together for several months. Since his health scare last year, Flair has been one of Hogan’s biggest proponents, stating the Hulkster has been there for him during some very tough periods in his life. Flair has been advocating for a return to WWE for Hogan as well.

The interviewer then turned his attention to Hogan. He asked the Hulkster how things were going in terms of an eventual return to WWE.

“Things are moving in that direction quite quickly,” Hogan said. “It’s all about execution and timing.”

Hulk Hogan Pays Tribute To ‘Late’ Celebrity Who’s Still Alive, Identity Of Nia Jax’s RAW Opponent

Hogan Makes An Embarrassing Mistake

WWE Hall Of Famer Hulk Hogan recently took to Twitter to pay tribute to a ‘late’ celebrity, but it turns out that celebrity is still alive. Hogan posted a photo of Jackass star, professional skateboarder, and Viva La Bam star Bam Margera.

He captioned the photo saying “Damn Bam I wish you were still with us, I sure would love to hang out again my brother love u miss u HH”

Hogan mistakingly confused Margera with Ryan Dunn, Margera’s best-friend and Jackass co-star who in fact did pass away tragically back in 2011 in a car accident:

Hogan has since deleted the Tweet and his follow-up Tweet apologizing for the mistake.

Identity Of Nia Jax’s RAW Opponent:

The jobber working against RAW Women’s Champion Nia Jax on last night’s episode of RAW was Madi Maxx. She also bills herself as “The Paris Hilton of Pro Wrestling.” She went under the name Michelle Webb on RAW and claimed to be a Judo champion.

Booker T Believes Hulk Hogan Deserves a Second Chance in WWE

WWE Legend Booker T believes that Hulk Hogan deserves a second chance in the WWE and that he would welcome him back despite the N-word fiasco.

“Everybody deserves a second chance,” Booker T told TMZ Sports. “It’s what life is all about.”

Booker T had this very stance on Hogan when talking about him on his Heated Conversations podcast: “The only thing Hogan can do is apologize, atone for it, and we move forward,” Booker said during the episode. “Everyone deserves a second chance that’s just the way I am.”

As noted before, WWE and Hulk Hogan have reportedly been in talks for his return for some time now. Hogan has expressed strong interest in ‘returning home.’

King Kong Bundy Reveals Hulk Hogan Talked Him Into Joining WWE

WWE Legend King Kong Bundy appeared on a recent episode of The Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling podcast where he discussed a variety of professional wrestling topics. Here are the transcribed highlights from the interview, as provided by TMPT.

Hulk Hogan’s Role In His Career:

“Hulk got me my job in the WWF. I was set to go work for Verne Gagne up in Minneapolis when it was still a viable territory but it was going down hill fast like all of the territories. I was set to go up there and I met Hulk in Japan and he talked me into coming and he called Vince for me and greased the skid there for me to get in there because I’d much rather do that than go to Verne but I always thought you wait until they called you. But meeting Hulk in Japan, he thought we could have good matches together and he helped me with my deal over there (Japan) and he got me in the door over here (WWF) and Hulk was very good to me. People say that Hulk Hogan has changed, I don’t know that because all he did was help me and that is all I can say. Idiots like The Honky Tonk Man that run him down and you know he saved the Honky Tonk Man’s life when he was up in Calgary and Hulk got Vince to bring him in. There are a lot of ingrates in the wrestling business.”

Departing the WWE in 1988:

“Around the beginning of ’89 I was working for a computer company which basically killed my career in the WWE because it ticked Vince off so badly. I was going to take off for a year and it wound up being like five years and I got divorced and I bought a bar and all those things you do that fail miserably [laughing] but it wound up being longer than I thought and I should have gone to WCW when I came back. I had a few matches in ECW and Vince called me and told me he was going to do something with me and that was a total lie. I remember talking to people when I was working for the computer company and not long after I left and I’ll say that I don’t think the two were related to each other but the business was down quite a bit. In ’89 I was talking to a few of the boys and they were telling me how the houses were down and I think there were some hard times there.”

Lack of Characters In Today’s Product:

“I always swore when I was younger that I wasn’t going to be one of these old timers running down the business and with the way it is now it is like John Lennon said: “I cannot be what I am not”. I just think there is no more characters anymore and too many guys seem like they are alike and so similar and I never watch wrestling anymore so I don’t know. I don’t know how good the business is doing right now but I know that they can’t go to Madison Square Garden every month. They used to go to Madison Square Garden and sold it out like a 129 months in row and now with drawing from millions of people you can’t go there once a month? It just seems like the wrestling business should be doing so much better than it is.”

Hulk Hogan Address Fans Still Being Upset With Him, Comments On Potential WWE Return

Hulk Hogan continues to talk about a potential return to the WWE.

Hogan has been a household name in the world of professional wrestling for decades now. He has wrestled some of the biggest names in the history of pro wrestling, and although he has a long-lasting relationship with the company, there have been some hiccups between the two sides throughout the years.

Currently, he’s outside of the bubble of the sports entertainment company but it appears that it’s just a matter of time before they bring him back.

Hogan was fired from WWE in the summer of 2015 after racially charged comments from a sex tape came to light. Gawker alleged that Hogan only filed a lawsuit against them to prevent the racial statements from being released.

Hogan’s WWE return has depended on the company being reasonably sure that bringing him back won’t cause a big backlash due to his racist comments.

Hogan was interviewed by The Buffalo News to promote an upcoming autograph signing in the area. During this interview, he talked about the fans who are still upset about the racially insensitive comments he made.

“People know me.  I’m human being like anybody else, and sometimes, people make mistakes. When they do, you watch that person a little bit more closely than you did before to see what kind of person they really are. I just want people to judge me by my actions, not a few misspoken words.   To those few fans who feel (hurt), I’m forever sorry, and I’ll do whatever I can to make them feel comfortable with me.”

Earlier this month, TMZ Sports reported that Hogan and WWE have been in contact and the talks have been “positive.” According to the report, for the Greatest Royal Rumble event, WWE was requested to bring Hogan in and appear at the event.

WWE officials were also keeping an eye on Hogan’s speech from the Boys & Girls Clubs of America Alumni Hall of Fame induction.

“Until you hit a home run, it’s not a home run.  All these things say it’s imminent or rumors, that’s like saying ‘maybe, possibly, could be.’ Until I’m back home with the WWE, I’m not home. Hopefully some day I can go back home and be with my family, the wrestlers and all the people I love. I just really, really hope it happens.”

What are your thoughts on him making a potential return to the WWE? Sound off in the comment section below.

Hulk Hogan Wants To Return ‘Home’ To Never Leave Again

While we have heard multiple rumors about a possible WWE return for Hulk Hogan in recent times, so far they have all proven to be just speculations.

During a recent interview with The Miami Herald, Hogan talked about NWO’s effect on Wrestling, the connection between Ronda Rousey and Roddy Piper and more.

When asked about a possible WWE return, the Hulkster recalled his start in the company and said that he would like to go back one last time and never leave again:

“Well, never say never. That would be a dream come true for me to go back home. I started many, many years ago in 1977, 78 for Vince McMahon Sr., and I’ve been back-n-forth several times. So I’d like to go back one last time and stay there and never leave home again…”

The latest rumor we heard about Hogan came earlier this month and it said that his return is close to being a done deal, though it did not reveal a timetable for his comeback.

Hulk Hogan was released from WWE back in 2015 after the infamous racial slur controversy. Releasing a statement on his release, the company had said that they are “committed to embracing and celebrating individuals from all backgrounds”

Booker T On Hulk Hogan Returning To WWE: “Everybody Deserves A Second Chance”

WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T became the latest veteran personality from the WWE Universe to speak publicly about the possibility of Hulk Hogan coming back to the company.

“The only thing Hogan can do is apologize, atone for it, and we move forward,” Booker said during a recent episode of his Heated Conversations podcast. “Everyone deserves a second chance that’s just the way I am.”

As noted, TMZ Sports ran an article where they claimed Hogan returning to WWE is close to a done deal. Booker explains why he would be cool with the decision, noting “The Hulkster” helped him early in his career in WCW.

Booker T Breaks Down The Hogan Situation

From there, Booker got deep and spoke about Hogan using the “N-word” in the past and claimed that he won’t be part of a group that blacklists a fellow legendary wrestler who has given so much to the business.

“I’m taking that ‘word’ and put it over to the side, and let that man take his rightful place back, which is in this business,” Booker stated. “I’m not going to take that away from him. I’m not going to sit here and say ‘No, he should be blackballed or black listed from the game, forevermore!’ for saying something a lot of us say on a daily basis. I don’t myself, but a lot of us do. Let this man who has done so much for the wrestling business truly take his rightful place back in the WWE.”

What do you think about Hulk Hogan returning to WWE? How about Booker T’s take on the topic? Sound off in the Comments section below.

Hulk Hogan’s WWE Return Close To Being A “Done Deal”

Hulk Hogan’s return to WWE is close to being a “done deal” – according to a report at TMZ.

Hogan has been persona non grata since his release from the company nearly three years ago due to the fallout from his sex tape & racism scandal. Rumors of his return have been picking up steam in recent months. Hogan has made it clear that he wants to return, telling the Associated Press back in January that he knows Triple H wants him back in the fold.

In recent weeks, Jonathan Coachman, Goldberg, Paul Heyman, Mark Henry and more have commented on the prospect of Hulk Hogan’s inevitable return.

Hogan and “high-ranking WWE officials” have been making progress in their talks. TMZ notes that members of Saudi Arabia’s royal family specifically asked for Hulk Hogan to participate in last week’s Greatest Royal Rumble event. That didn’t pan out, but WWE wants him back – as long as it’s done in a tasteful way that’s sensitive to the circumstances that led to his departure in the first place.

Earlier this week, Hulk Hogan was inducted into the Boys & Girls Clubs of America Alumni Hall of Fame (Video). During his speech, Hogan acknowledged his hurtful racial remarks and told the audience he wants to educate kids not to use the same language that he did.

WWE officials were closely watching how Hogan was received at the Boys & Girls Clubs event and issued this statement to TMZ:

“WWE applauds the work Hulk Hogan is doing with Boys & Girls Clubs of America to turn what was a negative into a positive by helping young people learn from his mistake. While he has taken many steps in the right direction since we parted ways, Hogan is not currently under contract to WWE.”

Do you think we will see Hulk Hogan back on WWE television this year?

The ceremony, which will honor alumni who have gone on from their Boys & Girls Club to make contributions in their professions, is slated to be hosted by Courtney B. Vance.

Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated recently conducted an interview with Hogan about the honor.

During the interview, he gave some high praise to WWE Champion AJ Styles, who is slated to defend his title against Shinsuke Nakamura in a No DQ Match at this Sunday’s Backlash pay-per-view event that takes place in Newark, New Jersey at the Prudential Center.

“AJ has turned out to be one heck of a performer, one of the best in the world,” said Hogan. “Beyond that, he’s just such a good person.”

“What AJ does in the ring is phenomenal, and that’s why we call him the ‘Phenomenal One’, but when he’s outside the ring, he’s even more phenomenal,” said Hogan. “It’s so cool to see how he takes care of his family and loves his kids. If people saw him outside of when he wrestles, they’d have even more admiration for him.”

Hogan has been a household name in the world of professional wrestling for decades now. He has wrestled some of the biggest names in the history of pro wrestling, and although he has a long-lasting relationship with the company, there have been some hiccups between the two sides throughout the years.

“So many people are so loyal,” said Hogan. “That support has given me my pulse. I’ve wrestled for four generations of people, but after all these years, I never thought the popularity would still be this big. I’ll be 65 in a couple months, and I had no idea there would still be this groundswell of interest.

“People have stood by me through the good stuff, but also through the controversy. People were loyal and stood behind me even when big corporations made decisions based on their corporate policies. The fans stuck with me. It’s been amazing how loyal they have been to me.”

Ernest “the Cat” Miller Claims Hulk Hogan Wanted Him to Win World Championship

Hulk Hogan’s name has been mentioned quite a bit in wrestling circles as of late. The former WWE Champion attended the premiere of the HBO documentary on Andre the Giant and there have been confirmed talks between Hogan and WWE for the first time since leaked audio conversations led to his excommunication from the company.

In recent weeks, soon-to-be Hall of Famer, Mark Henry, appeared on the Busted Open radio program to say he doesn’t feel Hogan has done enough just yet to earn a second chance.

Today, former wrestler and World Karate Champion, Ernest Miller, is stating Hogan attempted to help him receive a major push in WCW.

Ernest Miller on Hulk Hogan

Miller appeared on the Pancakes and Powerslams Show recently and spoke about how Hogan once pitched an idea of him dropping the WCW World Title to Miller.

“You know what, Hogan wanted to lose the title to me one time to get me involved with the nWo. But then, if you noticed, we had so much little to nothing going on outside of the nWo.”

Miller talked further in regards to his relationship with Hogan.

“[I] may have been different from a lot of people. [Hulk Hogan] and I had a bond, he was really a good guy and easy to talk to,” Miller said. “I would run things past him, and he’ll give me some of his respects about the situation… Hulk Hogan was just another wrestler, tell me what to do and he was professional at it. Give me some advice, and I’ll take it and move on. I had a great experience with Hulk Hogan.”

Jonathan Coachman Has Interesting Response To Idea Of WWE Bringing Back Hulk Hogan

WWE RAW Announcer Jonathan Coachman has made his feelings known about the potential return of Hulk Hogan to the sports entertainment company.

His latest run with the company was a short one. On February 24, 2014, on Raw, Hogan made his first WWE in-ring appearance since December 2007 to hype the launch of the WWE Network.

At WrestleMania 30, Hogan served as the host and came out at the start of the show to hype up the crowd. Steve Austin and The Rock ended up coming out to have a memorable segment with him. However, he was later fired over racist remarks made in a leaked sex tape.

Coachman recently made an appearance on Busted Open and talked about the idea of Hogan returning as WWE has confirmed that they’ve been in talks with the former WWE Champion. Here is what he had to say:

“I think as far as the reason why Mark [Henry] and a big group of guys don’t want him to come back – or at least want him to be contrite – is at some point your seventh, eighth, ninth chance to come back and play a role should be enough,” Coachman said. “He’s a huge star, which is why he’s gotten so many different chances. But the bottom line is over the years Hulk has always asked for not the premium dollar, he’s asked for ridiculous amounts of money to come back and do something.”

“So, if he’s not contrite, he’s not apologizing, and he’s asking for a ton of money, again, I’m not privy to the conversations, but I know what he’s done in the past and if he’s asking for a ton of money, I don’t see the upside in bringing him back to do what? To be an ambassador? He’s had hip replacement surgery, he can’t work in the ring,” Coach said. “Yes, he has humongous star power, but is it positive star power? Is it star power that he would use to help somebody else? Because at this point you’ve got to give somebody the rub, you’ve got to pay it forward. You’ve gotta come back and you can’t be Hulk Hogan from WrestleMania I as the main eventer and that’s somebody that Hulk Hogan has never been. His track record speaks for [itself] when it comes to giving back or giving to another Superstar.”

“I thought, at least in the trailers, for the Andre the Giant documentary he looks like he was very thoughtful and gives a lot,” Coachman responded. “I don’t think it’s ever too late for somebody to change, but he’s damn near 70 years old. Unless he’s going to come back and be a positive ambassador then I don’t believe WWE needs him.”

Hulk Hogan Claims He’s Ready To Wrestle Again

There’s no doubt that one of the biggest names that WWE and its Chairman Vince McMahon ever created was Hulk Hogan. He has been a household name in the world of professional wrestling for decades now.

He has wrestled some of the biggest names in the history of pro wrestling, and although he has a long-lasting relationship with the company, there have been some hiccups between the two sides throughout the years.

Most notably he left the sports entertainment company to join World Championship Wrestling in the 1990’s, and he worked in TNA Wrestling for a few years.

Hogan noted on his Instagram account that he’s back to his old weight of 303 lbs and that it’s too bad that he’s not in the main event of WrestleMania because he’s “ready.” He wrote the following:

“Weighed in at my old weight of 303 today,to bad I’m not in the Main Event at Mania because I’m ready brother, but I will be cheering my friends on from home! HH.”
