Kassius Ohno to Compete for the ICW World Title

Insane Championship Wrestling has just announced a huge bout for their ‘Infamous’ event on September 17th.

NXT superstar Kassius Ohno will be competing against Joe Coffey for the ICW World Heavyweight Championship. ICW and WWE have had a very intriguing business relationship, with Finn Balor, Mick Foley and Noam Dar all having appeared for the company whilst under contract to WWE. This match seems a little more intriguing however, as Ohno is one of NXT’s most prestigious former ‘indie’ guys and he has a history within the UK scene, expect this to be a hard hitting affair.

WWE Promotes ICW Pay Per View

As noted previously here on SEScoops, the WWE UK Championship will be defended outside of the company for the very first time on PPV: July 29th in Scotland’s ICW promotion.

As well as WWE UK Champion Pete Dunne, 205 Live competitor Noam Dar will be returning ‘home’ to ICW. WWE has not only granted Insane Championship Wrestling use of their talent but they have also begun promoting the PPV via their social media outlets.

We’ve mentioned it numerous times over the past couple of months however the rumors surrounding an ICW/WWE partnership are clearly evident and it looks like an ICW presence on WWE Network is closer than we think.

WWE UK Championship to be defended at ICW Pay Per View

Scotland’s own Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW) has announced that WWE UK Champion Pete Dunne will be defending his title at their upcoming Pay Per View event ‘Shug’s Hoose Party 4.’ This will be the first time that the WWE UK Title will be defended on UK shores outside of the WWE banner.

This news follows the announcement of 205 Live star Noam Dar being featured on the card. Although no official partnership has ever been confirmed between ICW and WWE we may see similar talent trades going forward and WWE ‘giving back’ to the UK Independent scene that built their UK Championship show.

Former NXT Star set to Debut in ICW

Former NXT performer Bull James will be making his ICW debut on Sunday July 9th. James will be facing Grado as part of ICW’s Fight Club tapings. The show will be available to view via the Fite TV app as well as ICW’s On Demand Service.

Scottish based ICW has been making some big announcements recently, including the return of WWE contracted star Noam Dar. Kevin Nash has also been advertised for ICW’s Fear & Loathing event later in the year and he will act as a special guest enforcer for the show.

Current WWE Star Scheduled to Wrestle for ICW

ICW has made a huge announcement for their July 29th PPV event ‘Shug’s Hoose Party 4.’ Current 205 Live/RAW Cruiserweight roster member Noam Dar will be returning to his ‘home’ promotion for the very first time since signing with WWE.

ICW has previously announced appearances with the likes of Finn Balor and Mick Foley in ‘commissioner’ type roles however the prospect of a contracted, main roster WWE talent coming back to the UK indies to wrestle is very intriguing.

An ICW show on the WWE Network has been speculated for months now and while the talk has died down somewhat this announcement could indicate that an official partnership is closer than previously thought.

ICW has an official on demand service that is available for only $6.99 per month featuring the likes of Kurt Angle, Finn Balor, Grado, Trent Seven, Wolfgang and more.

Kevin Nash Announced for ICW Fear & Loathing X

UK promotion Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW) has revealed Kevin Nash as the special guest Commissioner for their upcoming Fear & Loathing X event in Scotland.

ICW is arguably the biggest promotion in the UK, last year’s Fear & Loathing event took place at the SSE Hydro Glasgow in front of over 6,000 fans and featured Finn Balor as the guest Commissioner.

Check out the free match that ICW has released between Kurt Angle and homegrown star Joe Coffey for a taste of the ICW style.

Heavy ICW Influence on This Week’s NXT Show

This week’s episode of NXT featured a heavy UK presence, the UK Championship match between Tyler Bate & Jack Gallagher arguably stole the show and Scottish based promotion ICW heavily influenced the show.

Every bout from the show featured ICW alumni: Alesiter Black, Tyler Bate, Drew McIntyre and Nikki Cross have all performed for the company in prominent roles and it speaks volumes for the importance of the UK scene on worldwide wrestling right now.

Pete Dunne (who was seen at ringside) is challenging for the ICW World Heavyweight Championship this Sunday against current champion Joe Coffey. Coffey took the belt from WWE UK star Trent Seven.

WWE UK Competitor to Challenge for ICW World Heavyweight Title

WWE UK Division competitor Pete Dunne will be challenging for Insane Championship Wrestling’s World Heavyweight title this Sunday.

Dunne will be taking on current champion and WOS roster member Joe Coffey. Coffey won the belt back at ICW’s Barramania event against Pete Dunne’s British Strong Style stable mate Trent Seven.

Expect this to be a knock down, drag out brawl between two of the UK’s most hard hitting competitors. It also holds extra significance as Coffey is a member of the World of Sport roster and rumours continue to persist of an ICW/WWE partnership on the WWE Network.

Drew Galloway Still Scheduled for ICW’s Barramania show 4/16

Drew Galloway/McIntyre appeared on camera during Saturday night’s NXT Takeover show in Orlando and he now confirmed for a WWE return.

Since his WWE departure Galloway has been one of the standout performers on the UK Independent circuit, his performances in ICW being his most notable.

ICW posted the following tweet after the Takeover show advertising an already confirmed appearance by Galloway for their Barramania show that takes place April 16th. It is likely that Galloway is just finishing up his Independent dates however ICW & WWE have been heavily linked for the past couple of months with ICW rumoured to be heading to the WWE Network.

This may well develop into a bigger story with one of ICW’s biggest stars in Galloway making the jump back to NXT/WWE.
