Will Sasso: I Dont Want to See Celebrities Beating Wrestlers

Will Sasso is both a celebrity and a wrestling fan, but he doesn’t want to see individuals like himself picking up victories in the squared circle. On the Insight podcast, Sasso shared his concerns about celebs, including the likes of Logan Paul and IShowSpeed, overshadowing full-time talent.

“I don’t want to see celebrities getting a leg up on wrestlers; wrestling should always be on top.”

Though best known for his comedy, Sasso has had involvement in wrestling, including facing Bret ‘Hitman’ Hart during an episode of WCW Monday Nitro, a match Sasso would lose. Not just a name in WCW, Sasso appeared as a ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin impersonator during the Attitude Era and ate a stunner by the Texas Rattlesnake himself.

On the podcast, Sasso reflected on how his love for wrestling has influienced his impressions of legends including Ric Flair, Randy Savage, and Jesse Ventura.

“I love Jesse Ventura, so I will catch a story more often than not.”

Sasso’s love for wrestling extends to the modern day, as he expressed excitement with the current product as well as the returns of John Cena and The Rock. With Triple H at the creative helm, Sasso is excited to what’s to come in the industry he has seen evolve over decades.

IShowSpeed Thought He Was Going to Die at the WWE Royal Rumble

The WWE Royal Rumble featured a shocking collision between Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker and internet sensation IShowSpeed, culminating in a thunderous spear that quickly went viral on social media.

Speed, the popular streamer and influencer, had made a brief yet memorable appearance in the Rumble match. Emerging with a neck brace and crutches, he was in no condition to withstand the force of Breakker’s devastating spear. The impact sent Speed flying across the ring, and the moment rapidly gained traction online, amassing millions of views across various social media platforms.

The unexpected attack left fans and commentators stunned. Adding to the intrigue, Breakker’s post-match comments suggested an open invitation for Speed’s return. Breakker stated that he would welcome Speed back to WWE should he seek revenge, hinting at a possible future storyline between the two.

Following the event, Speed admitted the experience was physically overwhelming. Speaking on his YouTube stream, he described the aftermath:

“I ain’t gonna cap. After this, the day after Bron Breakker speared me, I had probably one of the worst headaches. I couldn’t move. I could not move, bro. I thought I was nearly about to die. Real talk. That was maybe one of the craziest, worst experiences ever. Real talk. I’m being so serious.”

Whether this was a one-off encounter or the beginning of a longer-term storyline remains to be seen.

Mark Henry Warns IShowSpeed: “Be Careful Mentioning My Name”

Social media star IShowSpeed made waves at the 2025 WWE Royal Rumble earlier this month, where he made his in-ring debut in the annual 30-man battle royal match. Naturally, his appearance produced a viral video clip – Speed getting nearly speared out of his boots by Bron Breakker, followed by a bone-crunching announce table slam from Otis.

Following the event, IShowSpeed made bold backstage comments, promising a return at the 2026 Royal Rumble in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He also called out several WWE superstars, including Roman Reigns, Rey Mysterio, Dominik Mysterio—and Hall of Famer Mark Henry.

Mark Henry Threatens IShowSpeed

Henry, who last competed in WWE at the Greatest Royal Rumble in 2018, responded to IShowSpeed’s challenge on Busted Open Radio. In a clip shared on his Twitter account, the former World Heavyweight Champion issued a warning:

“Speed, you might want to be careful mentioning my name. You better ask your friends about me. I ain’t the one.”

IShowSpeed’s WWE Royal Rumble Appearance Draws Insane Numbers

IShowSpeed’s time in the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble match may have been brief, but the streamer’s role has proven to be a viral hit. Speed, who had been invited to the show by Pat McAfee, replaced Akira Tozawa in the 30-Man match after he was attacked by the already-eliminated Carmelo Hayes.

Speed would aid Bron Breakker in eliminating Otis before being speared and thrown out by the reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion. In total, Speed’s time in the Rumble was 56 seconds, the shortest of any Superstar competing at the event.

Despite his short Rumble run, Speed’s work has proven to be a hit. As first shared by WrestleOps, between WWE’s social media platform and those of the streamer, this cameo in the Men’s Royal Rumble match surpassed 255 million views over the first 24 hours.

This response demonstrates the viral popularity of IShowSpeed, who appeared at last year’s WrestleMania where he suffered an RKO at the hands of Randy Orton. Speed already has plans for the 2026 Royal Rumble, set to take place in January of next yearin Saudi Arabia.

With IShowSpeed being a bonafide hit this year, fans shouldn’t count out seeing the popular content creator back in the ring. In the meantime, fans can find Speed on Twitch and YouTube, where he’ll continue to entertain his millions of fans with his gaming streams and personality.

IShowSpeed Vows 2026 Royal Rumble Return, Coming For Roman Reigns

IShowSpeed’s impromptu appearance in the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble match came to an end when he was launched out of the ring by Bron Breakker. Speaking backstage, a crutches-wielding Speed vowed that this won’t be his last time in the ring.

“Next Royal Rumble, I’m calling out everybody. Roman Reigns, Mark Henry, Rey Mysterio, Dom. It don’t matter, I’m getting all of y’all. Just wait until I start training out there.”

The spear Speed ate by Bron Breakker isn’t his first time being levelled by a WWE Superstar, as the YouTube took an RKO by Randy Orton at WrestleMania 40. When asked, Speed couldn’t give a definitve answer as to which move hurts more, isntead simply saying “they hurt.”

The 2026 Royal Rumble has already been announced for January of next year and will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The 39th annual Royal Rumble will be part of Riyadh Season, marking the first traditional Royal Rumble to take place outside of North America.
