Bayley Wants To Wrestle Ivory At Evolution, Ronda Rousey Thanks The Riott Squad

– WWE Evolution is only three weeks away and Bayley would like to wrestle a WWE Hall of Famer at the all-women’s pay-per-view event.

On Saturday, Ivory tagged Bayley in a tweet complimenting her arm drag with the hashtag “#Evolution.” Bayley responded, “Let’s wrestle.”

Ivory responded, “Can I have a year to get in shape, first?!” Bayley then said, “How about I give you until Oct. 28?” — Evolution takes place on October 28.

There’s a personal connection between the two as Bayley met Ivory when she was 12 years old and the then-WWE star asked her if she’s going to see her in the ring one day.

“I remember having the opportunity to meet Ivory as a kid, and she was the first woman’s wrestler that I met. She looked at me and said, ‘I’m going to see you in the ring one day aren’t I?'” Bayley said in an interview earlier this year.

“I took that sign that I was going to make it and then I met her again at Wrestlemania 30 or 31 as a member of the WWE roster and told her that story.”

– At WWE Super Show-Down in Melbourne, Australia, Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey and The Bella Twins beat The Riott Squad in a Six-Woman Tag Team Match. The match ended in a unique fashion as Rousey made Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan submit simultaneously to a double armbar. Rousey took to Instagram on Sunday to thank Australia, The Bella Twins and even The Riott Squad.

Rousey wrote, “Yesterday moved me to my core. Thank you Melbourne. Thank you Australia. Thank you everyone who smiled back at me at #WWESSD … thank you @thenikkibella and @thebriebella for having my back in the ring last night…. And thank you #RiotSquad @rubyriottwwe @sarahloganwwe @yaonlylivvonce for being the force we had to reckon with.”

Possible Date For Next WWE Superstar Shakeup, Asuka Wrestles After RAW, Ivory’s HOF Video Package (Video)

– Per a report from Nick Hausman of WrestleZone, there seems to be talk about WWE holding another WWE Draft or Superstar Shakeup. It’s possible the Draft or Superstar Shakeup could take place at Backlash on pay-per-view (PPV) instead of on TV. The idea is to give the new dual-brand PPV format a jumpstart.

– After last night’s Monday Night RAW went off-air RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss defender her title against Asuka. The match ended in a No Contest when Nia Jax hit the ring and attacked both women. Bayley and Sasha Banks hit the ring for the save and Asuka was declared the winner via disqualification. Of course, that resulted in Bliss still retaining.

ESPN Makes An Awkward Mistake In Announcing Ivory’s HOF Induction

Earlier this morning ESPN broke the news that former WWE Women’s Champion Ivory would be inducted into the 2018 WWE Hall Of Fame class prior to WrestleMania 34. If you saw the announcement initially from ESPN on Twitter, you may have noticed an awkward error the company made. ESPN accidentally tagged former WWE Superstar Victoria in the post instead of Ivory.

The Tweet was deleted, but not before WrestleVotes could nab a screenshot of it:

Although Victoria, a former two-time Women’s Champion, is not part of the Hall Of Fame yet, she certainly deserves to be inducted one day. There are now rumors as of this writing of that happening this year.

Ivory Announced for WWE Hall of Fame

Ivory has been announced as the latest member of the WWE Hall of Fame’s Class of 2018.

Ivory’s Career in Wrestling

Lisa Mary Moretti (aka Ivory) got her start in pro-wrestling in 1986 when she auditioned for the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling television show. Despite having no prior wrestling experience, Moretti was one of the women chosen. The Netflix series “GLOW” is based on the experiences of women who were on the show.

After training for six weeks, Moretti adopted the ring name Tina Ferrari and performed on the show. GLOW ended in 1992 and she would wrestle sparingly with other promotions after. In 1999, however, she returned to pro-wrestling in a big way when she signed with WWE. The promotion would rename her “Ivory”.

Ivory was the perfect heel woman in WWE’s Attitude Era. She would win the WWE (then WWF) women’s championship on 3 occasions before opting not to renew her contract with the company in 2005.

The 56-year old now runs a pet-sitting and grooming business in Washington State.

Ivory joins Bill Goldberg and the Dudley Boyz in the Class of 2018.

The 2018 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony takes place on Friday night, April 6th from New Orleans during WrestleMania 34 weekend.

Two Former WWE World Champions Reportedly Being Inducted Into HOF

So far WWE has confirmed that former WCW World Heavyweight Champion Goldberg and former WWE Tag Team Champions The Dudley Boyz will be inducted into the 2018 WWE Hall Of Fame class. PWInsider now reports that there were rumblings last night at the Royal Rumble that both former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry and former three-time WWE Women’s Champion Ivory will also be inducted this year.

Names such as Henry, Ivory, Bam Bam Bigelow and Kid Rock (celebrity wing) have been rumored for this year’s Hall Of Fame, however, WWE has only confirmed The Dudley Boyz and Goldberg thus far. While Mark Henry and Ivory have yet to be confirmed by the company an announcement should be expected soon. Perhaps as early as tonight’s episode of Monday Night RAW.

The 2018 Hall Of Fame induction ceremony will take place from the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana on April 6th, two days before WrestleMania 34.
