Liv Morgan Fuels Speculation About Jade Cargill’s Attacker

Is Liv Morgan responsible for the vicious attack that put Jade Cargill out of action for months? If you ask her directly, you won’t get a clear answer.

“In the history of Liv Morgan, there’s not been one time when I didn’t scream and brag about whatever I had just done,” Morgan teased on the No-Contest Wrestling Podcast.

She backed up her position by asking, how much has she bragged about stealing Daddy Dom and retiring Becky Lynch? A lot.

Her response has only fueled speculation. While WWE cameras didn’t catch the culprit, Cargill was blindsided, leading to a brutal beatdown of Morgan on Raw.

“I think that that beat down was highly, highly unwarranted, but I was there she was there and that’s all you get.”

If Morgan wasn’t responsible, she certainly paid the price for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The potential rivalry between the two could set up a major WrestleMania showdown. Morgan has already shown she isn’t afraid to take what she wants—could Cargill be her next target?

Jade Cargill Back at the Performance Center Training for WWE Return

WWE Superstar Jade Cargill was back at the Performance Center in Orlando, FL on Monday, according to PWInsider. The belief is that creative plans for her return will be set very soon, though her exact return date remains uncertain. She has reportedly been training at the Performance Center for over a month in preparation for her comeback.

Cargill has been absent from WWE TV since the November 22 episode of WWE SmackDown, but that appears to be changing. A shocking moment occurred during a Women’s United States Championship Triple Threat qualifying match featuring Bianca Belair, Chelsea Green, and Blair Davenport. Midway through the match.

The arena’s video screen revealed that Belair’s tag team partner, Jade Cargill, had been attacked backstage. The footage showed Cargill’s head being slammed into a car windshield, leaving it visibly shattered. The identity of the attacker remains unknown, though speculation suggests it could be someone linked to the ongoing match.

While off TV, Cargill has continued her training and is gradually working her way back. Initially, the expectation was that she would be out for an extended period due to a legitimate injury, with estimates suggesting at least three months or longer. However, conflicting reports have emerged regarding whether her absence is injury-related or purely a storyline.

Naomi Vehemently Denies Attacking Jade Cargill: “I Am Not that Evil”

WWE Superstar Naomi has firmly denied fan speculation that she was behind the shocking attack on Jade Cargill, dismissing the rumors as “insane.” During an interview on Casual Conversations, Naomi expressed frustration over conspiracy theories linking her to the attack, which has left Jade sidelined.

“I don’t get it. All I do is run in, help my friends, even put my own self in danger and get beat up. Like, what? The drama these people make up means nothing,” Naomi said.

Jade Cargill Attacked

Naomi did, however, have a few names in mind when asked who she thought might be responsible.

“Liv and Raquel… or maybe someone from NXT. They were slick with it, though. Jade had a target on her back—her rise was quick and fast, and they got her just as fast,” she speculated.

With the mystery still unsolved, Naomi emphasized that she had nothing to gain from betraying Jade and Bianca Belair.

“I only stepped in to help Bianca so she wouldn’t have to relinquish the title. It makes no sense why y’all would think it’s me!”

As Jade’s return looms, the identity of her attacker remains one of WWE’s most intriguing storylines. Naomi is adamant that she isn’t the culprit, but fans will have to wait and see who the real villain is.

New Evidence In Jade Cargill Case Implicates Raw Tag Team In Mystery Attack

WWE revealed a big hint about the mystery attacker of Jade Cargill on this week’s episode of SmackDown from Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.

The former AEW star has been off TV after being attacked backstage by unknown assailants during the November 22, 2024 episode of the Blue Branded Show. Cargill held the Women’s Tag Team Championships with Bianca Belair at the time and was replaced by Naomi in the team.

There hadn’t been a lot of development in this storyline since then but with Cargill seemingly getting ready for her comeback now, it appears the company is finally ready to move this story forward.

Jade Cargill Attacker Revealed On SmackDown?

General Manager Nick Aldis called the current tag champs to his office during the latest episode of the Blue Branded Show and revealed that he’s received an ‘anonymous tip’ on the Jade Cargill situation.

He went on to play an alternate-angle video of the night of the attack, in which Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez can be seen walking away from the scene as the former TBS Champion is stretchered into the ambulance.

Before being taken out, Jade Cargill was originally supposed to compete at the Survivor Series WarGames event and the duo of Morgan and Rodriguez were part of the opposing team at the match beyond. So it makes sense for the Raw duo to have taken out the SmackDown star before the PPV.

Though many believe that this is a red herring and the real culprit is Naomi who ended up taking Jade’s title and her place at the Survivor Series team.

Ricky Starks In NXT & Every AEW Name To Sign With WWE

Ricky Starks has become the latest AEW alum to arrive in WWE as the former tag champion debuted during the February 11, edition of WWE NXT. Starks is not the only AEW name to go on to call WWE home, as he follows in the footstps of the following talents:

Cody Rhodes: A founding member of AEW, Cody Rhodes made a high-profile return to WWE at WrestleMania 38 in April 2022, reigniting his quest for a WWE World Championship.

Jade Cargill: After a dominant run as AEW’s TBS Champion, Cargill signed a multi-year contract with WWE in September 2023. She made her in-ring debut at the Royal Rumble in January 2024 and is a two-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion.

CM Punk: Following a tumultuous tenure with AEW, CM Punk made a surprising return to WWE at Survivor Series in November 2023, marking a significant comeback after nearly a decade away from the company.

Penta: Formerly known as Pentagon Jr. in AEW, Penta debuted on WWE’s Raw in January 2025, securing a victory over Chad Gable. Becoming the Iron Man in this year’s Men’s Royal Rumble demonstrates WWE’s faith in the masked star.

Shawn Spears: After his AEW contract expired at the end of 2023, Spears returned to WWE in February 2024, appearing on NXT and continuing his “Chairman” persona. He has since been involved in various storylines, including a notable feud with Ridge Holland.

Many former AEW names have gone on to hold championships in WWE while some are awaiting their big break. It remains to be seen what direction Starks’ future takes in the company but his arrival has left fans excited to see what’s to come.

Update On Jade Cargill, Plans for WWE WrestleMania 41

Jade Cargill has been off WWE television since the backstage attack on the November 22 episode of SmackDown, with fans eager to see her back in the ring. Now, her return could be looming, with a match at WrestleMania 41 a real possibility.

According to PWInsider, Cargill was recently spotted at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, training on both Monday and Tuesday. The belief within WWE is that she’ll be ready to compete in time for the two-night supershow this April. The report does not specify if WWE has an opponent or opponents in mind for Cargill at the event.

The nature of Cargill’s injury has faced much speculation with conflicting reports stating that she is both hurt and that this is all part of a storyline. While PWInsider previously reported that Cargill was never actually injured and that the entire scenario was scripted, sources claim WWE continues to list her as injured internally.

Questions have run rife as to who was the one to take out Cargill. Suspects include:

  • Chelsea Green – Cargill’s backstage assault led to Bianca Belair leaving her Women’s U.S. Title qualifier to check on her friend. Without the EST around, Green would win the match and go on to become the first Women’s United States Champion.
  • Naomi – The woman who has directly benefitted the most from Cargill’s absense, Naomi has replaced the Storm as Bianca Belair’s tag partner and fellow tag team champion.
  • Bianca Belair – Many have pointed the finger of suspicion at Belair, who has been an ally of Cargill since early 2024. Fans have long predicted a feud between the two.

Belair made her WrestleMania debut last year, where she, Belair, and Naomi defeated Damage CTRL. Now, fans could be seeing the former AEW star step back in the ring in time for this year’s Showcase of the Immortals.

Jade Cargill Returns to the WWE Performance Center Amid Injury Rumors

Jade Cargill was spotted at the WWE Performance Center today, according to PWInsider. The powerhouse performer has been working out in the ring, and will return this week, a significant update for fans following conflicting reports about her status.

  • During a Fightful Select Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp said that Cargill is “on their [WWE] internal injury list as best I know.”
  • Mike Johnson now reports that Cargill has been healthy, vacationing internationally and pursuing entertainment ventures outside of WWE.

Her absence from television has been storyline-driven, tied to an injury angle and a “mystery attacker” plot that remains unresolved.

The Storyline So Far

Cargill was written off WWE programming in dramatic fashion with a staged injury storyline, leaving fans speculating about her future.

The “mystery attacker” storyline continues to be a focal point in Cargill’s absence, keeping fans guessing about who might be behind the assault and what role Cargill will play upon her return.

During her hiatus, Naomi has (temporarily?) replaced her as one half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions along with Bianca Belair. This adds a new dynamic to the tag division and the attacker’s identity.

Social Media Silence

Despite being active on social media in recent weeks with some bloody photographs (possibly from a project she’s working on), Cargill has remained tight-lipped about her storyline, her rumored injury, or when fans can expect her back on WWE television. This silence has only fueled further speculation about the direction of her character and the resolution of the mystery angle.

What’s Next for Jade Cargill?

Cargill’s return to the Performance Center suggests that her comeback may be imminent. Whether she will immediately re-enter the tag division alongside Naomi or pursue revenge against her “mystery attacker” remains to be seen. With her in-ring workouts resuming, fans can anticipate her eventual return to action as the storyline continues to unfold.

Jade Cargill Update: Latest on time away from WWE Programming

Jade Cargill has been absent from WWE programming in recent weeks following the backstage attack on her on SmackDown. This hiatus has sparked considerable speculation with different sites reporting differing stories regarding her current status.

The On-Screen Incident

Cargill’s absence was initially explained through a storyline on WWE SmackDown, where she was depicted as the victim of a backstage attack.

This angle served to write her off television, with WWE announcing that she had sustained multiple injuries, including deep lumbar paraspinal muscle contusions, a bruised kidney, a sprained MCL in her right knee, a tibial plateau bone bruise, and facial lacerations.

Conflicting Reports on Injury Status

Subsequent reports have offered varying accounts of Cargill’s condition. Some sources within WWE confirmed that she is dealing with legitimate injuries and has been consulting with medical professionals during her time away.

However, other reports suggest that her removal from television may be due to backstage political issues rather than physical ailments.

Current Activities During Hiatus

Adding to these conflicting narratives, PWInsider.com has reported that Cargill is utilizing her time away from WWE programming to engage in outside projects. Additionally, she is currently vacationing in the Bahamas, as confirmed by multiple WWE sources:

“PWInsider.com has been told by several high-up sources that Cargill has been working on some outside projects while written off TV. Several WWE sources confirmed that Cargill is currently vacationing in the Bahamas as well.”

Impact on WWE Programming

Cargill’s absence has necessitated adjustments within WWE’s women’s division. Notably, her tag team partner, Bianca Belair, has continued to compete, and Naomi has stepped in to fill the void left by Cargill’s departure.

The company has yet to make an official announcement regarding the status of the Women’s Tag Team Championships, which Cargill and Belair held prior to her hiatus.

Anticipated Return

As of now, there is no definitive timetable for Jade Cargill’s return to WWE television. The ambiguity surrounding her injury status and the reasons for her absence have left fans eagerly awaiting updates.

Her eventual comeback is highly anticipated, with expectations that she will resume her role as a key player in WWE’s women’s division.

Jade Cargill Replaced As Women’s Tag Champion On WWE SmackDown

Bianca Belair will continue forward as a WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, with a new partner to replace the injured Jade Cargill. Last month, Cargill was found laid out in a parking lot, seemingly the victim of an ambush. Belair, who was competing in a Women’s U.S. Title Tournament when Cargill was found, abandoned her match to check on her friend and tag-team partner.

On the December 13, episode of WWE SmackDown, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis told Bianca Belair that Jade Cargill’s absence will cause them to relinquish the titles. Belair was against the idea, and Naomi arrived on the scene to argue that she can fill in for Cargill.

Aldis said that Belair and Naomi will need to be fighting champions, with a title defense planned for next week’s SmackDown. The SmackDown GM added that they are no closer to figuring out who attacked Cargill.

This segment marks Naomi’s first championship since returning to WWE in this year’s Women’s Royal Rumble. The Glow held the tag titles with Sasha Banks in 2022, as the pair infamously walked out of WWE still with the gold.

What Led to Naomi & Sasha Banks Walking Out Of WWE?

Many have named Naomi as a suspect in the case of who attacked Cargill, and the fact that she’s gained a tag title reign in her absence will only fuel speculation. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Naomi, Belair, and Cargill, and the mystery of who took out the inaugural AEW TBS Champion.

Update On Jade Cargill’s Status After SmackDown Attack

There have been a lot of rumors and speculations floating around about the status of Jade Cargill after the female star was brutally attacked by an unknown assailant during the November 22 SmackDown.

One-half of the current Women’s Tag Team Champions, Cargill was involved in a prominent storyline heading into the Survivor Series WarGames PPV. She was set to join Rhea Ripley’s team in the match beyond against Liv Morgan and her partners.

This sudden change made many believe that WWE was forced to remove Jade due to an injury and the attack was a storyline to write her off.

PWInsider is now reporting, however, that the former AEW star is not dealing with any kind of injury and the SmackDown segment was nothing but a storyline.

The injury report that WWE sent out regarding jade Cargill was just to put over the severity of the attack and set the stage for a future storyline involving the current champion.

The company has already turned the attack into a storyline with multiple suspects such as Nia Jax and Naomi all pointing fingers at each other.

WWE has since announced Bayley as the replacement for Jade Cargill in the WarGames match. The event takes place this Saturday from the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada.

The big question now is how long the company will keep Cargill away from the ring to sell the injuries and who will finally be revealed as her attacker.

Jade Cargill Attack: Injury Details, Suspects, Future Plans

During the November 22, WWE SmackDown, footage revealed that Jade Cargill had been laid out in the parking lot and was left bruised and bloodied on the hood of a smashed car. The beating was so bad that Bianca Belair abandoned her Women’s U.S. Championship tournament match to check on her friend and tag-team partner. WWE would follow up after SmackDown by giving a painful update on Cargill.

Legitimately Injured

While the attack on Cargill was part of the show, the reigning WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion is actually out of action. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer has confirmed that Cargill is hurt and will be out for three months and potentially longer. WWE’s storyline injuries are mirroring Cargill’s real situation.

Who Attacked Jade Cargill?

WWE wasted no time in making the attack a whodunnit, with Nick Aldis questioning Nia Jax during the latest SmackDown about her potential involvement in what happened. The reigning WWE Women’s Champion has pointed the finger of suspicion at Naomi, who has denied that she tried to take out her ‘sis.’

Impact On WWE’s Plans

Cargill had been scheduled to compete inside WarGames at this weekend’s Survivor Series, and she has since been replaced by Bayley. The match would’ve been Cargill’s first WarGames and would’ve seen her team with Belair, Naomi, IYO SKY, and Rhea Ripley to face Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton, and Candice LeRae.

A huge question looming now is what this will mean for Jade and Belair’s tenure as Women’s Tag Team Champions. In 2023 the titles were stripped from Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan when the latter went down with an injury. However, that same year, Sonya Deville went down with an injury and Chelsea Green remained a champion after replacing her partner with Piper Niven.

Belair’s injury has also seen her be replaced in the Women’s U.S. Title Tournament. Jade had been scheduled to face Michin and Piper Niven in her first-round match.

WrestleMania Comeback?

If Cargill is off for three months, then her return window will open around late February, in the middle of the road to WrestleMania 41. WWE could build up her comeback for the two-night spectacle and give the popular star a return that fans will remember at WrestleMania for years to come, potentially against her assailant. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Cargill and details about who attacked the Women’s Tag Team Champion.

Jade Cargill Brutally Attacked On WWE SmackDown

This week’s episode of WWE SmackDown opened with The Bloodline, but an unexpected twist involving Jade Cargill quickly became the show’s focal point.

During a Women’s United States Championship Triple Threat qualifying match featuring Bianca Belair, Chelsea Green, and Blair Davenport, a shocking moment unfolded. Midway through the match, the arena’s video screen revealed that Belair’s tag team partner, Jade Cargill, had been attacked backstage. The footage showed Cargill’s head slammed into a car windshield, leaving it visibly shattered.

Mystery Surrounds Cargill’s Attacker

The identity of the attacker remains a mystery, though speculation suggests it could involve someone linked to the ongoing match. Shortly before the footage aired, Davenport extended the match by kicking out of a pin attempt from Belair. Distracted by her partner’s condition, Belair rushed backstage, leaving an opening for Green to secure a pinfall victory over Davenport. This win advanced Green to the next round of the tournament, where she is set to face Bayley. The tournament finals are scheduled for Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 14, 2024.

Many fans suspect Piper Niven, Green’s tag team partner, may be involved in the attack, but no confirmation has been provided.

Survivor Series: WarGames Heats Up

The attack on Cargill adds a layer of intrigue to the upcoming Survivor Series: WarGames Premium Live Event. A blockbuster Women’s WarGames Match is set for November 30, 2024, at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada. The match features Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill, Naomi, and Iyo Sky against The Judgment Day (Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez), Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton, and Candice LeRae.

With tensions escalating, all eyes are on SmackDown’s next episode for answers about Jade Cargill’s mysterious attack and the potential fallout heading into Survivor Series.

WWE’s Jade Cargill Signs with Paradigm Talent Agency’s Sports Division

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Jade Cargill is the latest Superstar to join Paradigm Talent as part of the agency’s new ‘Sports Group’ division. Paradigm will search out major roles for Cargill outside of the ring, and she follows in the footsteps of past signings including Drew McIntyre, Liv Morgan, Tiffany Stratton, Damian Priest, and CM Punk.

Cargill is already familiar with blending the worlds of pro wrestling and non-wrestling entertainment as she often donned cosplay in AEW. From She-Hulk to Storm to Cheetara, Cargill was able to demonstrate her creative side by embodying other characters but is waiting for the right moment to do the same in WWE.

Jade Cargill: The Storm

Signing with Paradigm is the latest major move for Cargill, who has risen through wrestling’s ranks since her debut in 2020. In 2022, Cargill became the first TBS Champion and would boast a 60-match undefeated streak in AEW which was ultimately shattered by Kris Statlander.

2023 saw Cargill continue to grow as she joined WWE but waited until the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble to make her in-ring debut. Cargill would quickly fall into an alliance with Bianca Belair, and the pair are two-time (and current) WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.

Cargill is also a force to be reckoned with outside of the ring, with nearly two million social media followers and a master’s degree in child psychology to her name. Cargill is part of a real-life power couple as she and her husband former MLB star Brandon Phillips, co-own the Women’s Professional Fastpitch team, the Texas Smoke.

Now, Cargill is poised to take another step in her rapidly expanding career, this time outside of the squared circle. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Jade Cargill and her future, both in and out of the ring.

Belair, Cargill & Stratton on the Hardest Parts of WWE Stardom

Jade Cargill, Bianca Belair, and Tiffany Stratton have shared what they consider to be the toughest issues when it comes to being a WWE Superstar. Speaking with Jazzy’s World TV, Cargill shared how being away from her family is her biggest issue with life as a wrestler.

“The travel, being away from home. Just being tired and being okay with being tired. I would say that’s one of the toughest things.”

Bianca Belair agreed that family is a key thing to balance when on the road, but there are other matters a WWE Superstar has to contend with.

“Just trying to be everything. We’re trying to be a mom, and a step-mom and a wife and a Superstar all at the same time. And we’re trying to go out there and put on a show.”

While Belair knows firsthand that life as a Superstar isn’t easy, she is pleased that WWE has come a long way with the positions that women are able to aspire toward.

“WWE is in an amazing place right now where we are showing up and we’re showing out and we’re winning titles and main eventing and doing everything. We can do it all.”

While WWE has certainly made strides in its handling of female talent, Tiffany Stratton shared that her biggest gripe is that women continue to be overlooked.

“Being a female WWE superstar, a lot of times you get overlooked. A lot of times the men are kind of the main focal point and you know, a lot of times it can be hard for the women to get time for their matches.”

This trio of women are certainly kept busy in WWE, with Belair and Cargill currently in their second reign as Women’s Tag Team Champions. As Miss. Money in the Bank, Stratton is poised to have a title match down the line, potentially with her ally WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax.

While all three are doing big things in WWE, no role is perfect and there are clear pitfalls to being a Superstar, especially a woman, in the company. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on these three and their futures as WWE Superstars.

Jade Cargill & Bianca Belair Will Have ‘Backup’ For Their Title Defense on Raw

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair recently revealed that they will fly Naomi to have her in their corner on next week’s WWE Raw.

On last night’s edition of WWE SmackDown, tag champions Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair were outnumbered when Candice LeRae tried to interfere during their match against WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton. However, Naomi evened the odds and took out LeRae which helped Belair and Cargill earn the victory.

Speaking on the SmackDown LowDown, Naomi discussed her upcoming title match against WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax. Cargill and Belair then arrived and talked about their title match on the November 11th episode of WWE Raw. They asked her to support them, and Naomi said that she would. Cargill and Belair further stated that they would fly Naomi out to WWE Raw to have her in their corner.

Earlier this year, on Night One of WWE WrestleMania XL, Jade Cargill, Bianca Belair, and Naomi had joined forces to take on Damage CTRL’s Dakota Kai, Kairi Sane, and Asuka. They have been quite a cohesive team and they always have had each other’s back.

Cargill and Belair are now gearing up to defend their titles against WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez on the November 11th edition of WWE Raw. Their latest title defense took place at WWE Crown Jewel PLE. On the other hand, Naomi will challenge Nia Jax for her title on the November 15th episode of WWE SmackDown.

Jade Cargill & Bianca Belair Stand Tall At WWE Crown Jewel 2024

Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair were able to overcome the odds at WWE Crown Jewel 2024 to retain the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships in Riyadh.

In the second match of the night, Cargill and Belair retained against Meta Four’s Jakara Jackson & Lash Legend, Damage CTRL’s IYO SKY & Kairi Sane, and Chelsea Green & Piper Niven. The finish of the match saw Belair get the win for her team after she and Cargill hit a colossal Doomsday Device on Piper Niven.

Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill’s Open Challenge: ‘Any Brand, Any Time’

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill are brimming with confidence and they want challengers to step up.

Belair and Cargill had reclaimed the tag team titles at WWE Bash In Berlin after defeating The Unholy Union (Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn). Since then they have defended their titles against the likes of former champs, The Unholy Union and Meta-Four (Jakara Jackson & Lash Legend). Last night on WWE Raw, they defeated Damage CTRL (Kairi Sane & IYO SKY) after Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson interfered.

Speaking on Raw Talk after Monday’s WWE Raw, Belair and Cargill were asked about Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson sticking their nose in their match.

Bianca Belair: “Listen, they came to SmackDown, and they put up a good fight, they really should have been proud of themselves. They did, but instead of going back to NXT and working on their skills and getting stronger and faster, they decided to to show up to Raw tonight and get in our business?”

Jade Cargill: “[They] embarrassed themselves if you asked me. They made enemies tonight out of IYO and Kairi. Out of everybody, why would you do that? But I love that for this tag team division.”

Belair: “I do. You know what, I love the confidence, I have to say that. But they’re making enemies. But you know what, it’s making this whole tag team division interesting.”

Cargill: “That’s what we were trying to do from the beginning. But these are our belts.”

Belair: “It is, but I love competition, so this is fun for me.”

Cargill: “We love competition. Like we said, Raw, SmackDown, NXT, come get it. We welcome it. Come apply, baby.”

Belair: “Everybody wants our titles.

Cargill: “Yes. Come to SmackDown and get that smack down.”

Belair: “Whoever want it. Raw, NXT, SmackDown.”

Damage CTRL recently became the latest challengers who were unsuccessful in dethroning Cargill and Belair. The final moments of the match saw the IYO SKY getting in a verbal spat with Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend who were ringside. Jackson pulled back her hair and Legend hit a big elbow to her face. When SKY got back inside the ring, Belair hit the KOD to get the pinfall victory.

Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill have become one of the dominant tag teams in the women’s division. They have been thriving as the champs and are on an unstoppable title reign. They have had quite the run as a tag team despite the pairing was not in the plans.

Jade Cargill Puts AEW in the Rearview: Can We Please Turn the Page?

Before making her presence felt as a champion in WWE, current Women’s Tag Team Champion Jade Cargill was part of AEW, where she became the first AEW TBS Champion. It’s been over a year since Cargill parted ways with the All-Elite promotion, and the Storm is eager for fans to focus on the present.

In a recent interview with HOT 97, Cargill reflected on her early days in AEW, recalling how she was thrust into the spotlight without much guidance.

“I didn’t really have direction. I didn’t know how a heel was supposed to act. I was just myself.”

In response to media reports rehashing her early experiences, Cargill expressed her frustration on Twitter and urged everyone to focus on her current journey with WWE.

This isn’t the first time Cargill has made clear she wishes to move on from her AEW tenure. At the Bash In Berlin post-show press conference, Cargill said she was “so tired” of answering questions about AEW and once again wished that fans focused on her current role as a WWE Superstar.

While Cargill is proud to have come from AEW, her focus is firmly on the road ahead. As she continues to evolve, fans are eager to see what’s next for the powerhouse superstar as she takes on new challenges inside a WWE ring.

Jade Cargill & Bianca Belair To Host WWE Bad Blood, Tease VIP Guests

As the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair are two of the biggest stars on the company’s roster. While the EST and the Storm aren’t currently set to compete at Bad Blood 2024, the pair will have a role at WWE’s upcoming Premium Live Event.

During the September 27, edition of WWE SmackDown, Belair and Cargill shared that they will be the official hosts of WWE Bad Blood. Not only that, but the Tag Team Champions also teased surprise appearances by “VIP guests” in Atlanta.

Belair and Cargill join other WWE Superstars who have served as the host of Premium Live Events, including The Miz who (alongside Snoop Dogg) hosted WrestleMania 39. This didn’t go so well for the A-Lister who was forced into impromptu matches with Pat McAfee and Shane McMahon, both of which he lost.

At this year’s Money in the Bank, Trish Stratus hosted the show in her native Toronto, Canada. In NXT, Meta-Four served as the hosts of Stand and Deliver in April of this year.

WWE Bad Blood 2024

WWE Bad Blood 2024 will take place on October 5, from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia and will be WWE’s fourth Bad Blood event, as well as the first in over 20 years.

Stay tuned to SEScoops for all the latest from WWE Bad Blood 2024, including breaking news and live results from the much-anticipated show.

Jade Cargill Reveals What She’s Most Proud Of After A Year In WWE

Jade Cargill didn’t think the WWE fans would accept her the way she has been accepted since her debut for the promotion.

It has been one year since the former TBS Champion reported to the WWE performance center in September 2023 and about 9 months since she made her in-ring debut for the company at Royal Rumble in January.

The former AEW star spoke to Sports Business Journal recently. Looking back at her first year in her new home, the premier athlete explained how the WWE fanbase has surprised her:

“This year went by so quick; the WWE fan base surprised me in all kinds of ways. I didn’t think that I was going to be accepted the way I was accepted. They came in with open arms. I did the Royal Rumble. The crowd was electrifying. I’ve never seen anything like it.”

What Jade Cargill Is Most Proud Of

The former Basketball player has achieved a lot in her relatively short tenure in the biggest sports entertainment company of the world. Apart from winning the Tag Team Championships with Bianca Belair, she has also wrestled on PPVs such as WrestleMania XL, Bash In Berlin, and Clash At The Castle: Scotland.

The thing she is most proud about during this time period, however, is incredibly personal. Jade Cargill revealed that her mother passed away this year and being able to do all she has done while dealing with the loss is what she is most proud of:

“My mother passed away this year. I’m sorry, and it’s OK. And it was a hard moment for me, but I pushed through it, and I talked to my mother, I used to talk to my mother every morning about my family, my daughter, what to do if she got sick.

If she got a cold, you talk to your mother, and she wasn’t there for me this year. So, I would say the thing I’m most proud of is that I was able to push through that, to just strive through parts.”

Cargill noted that she is proud of being able to continue to push the envelope through this time and setting an example for her daughter to do major things.

The WWE star along with her partner Bianca Belair are currently scheduled to make an appearance at NXT’s CW premiere from Allstate Arena in Chicago on October 1.

How WWE Champions Feel About Being Left Off Big Events

Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill were left off some of the recent WWE Premium Live Events and the superhero-like pair has addressed the matter.

Belair and Cargill are the reigning WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, and they want to elevate the titles. While speaking on The Masked Man Show, Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill were asked how they felt when they were excluded from premium live events. The former AEW star said that she is looking at it as motivation. She said that they are reviving the tag team titles and want to take the gold to new heights. That being said, she does want to get featured on more PLEs.

“It’s motivation. I would say it’s motivation for us to go out there and perform and have our fans go and beg for us to be on these PLEs like they’ve been doing. If we go out there and we continue to crush our matches, they’re going to do nothing but want more and more of it.

Right now, I believe that [Bianca] and I are reviving these belts and wanting to elevate these belts to new heights. So our job is to continue to elevate the women’s division. As far as the tag team division, [we want to] get on more PLEs, and we just performed, people loved that. We’re gonna continue to perform and be on more and more and more. The motivation is there.”

On the other hand, ‘The EST of WWE’ said she did not take offense to being left off of the PLEs. She spoke about the talented women’s roster and tag team division and felt that other talents needed the opportunity to perform on the shows. The former WWE Women’s Champion explained:

“I want to be on as many PLE’s as possible, but at the same time, it’s a dog-eat-dog world out here, and so many people, so many talents that want to be on these PLEs, and there’s not a lot of matches right now. So I don’t take offense to it when we aren’t on them, but I just know I’m rooting for the girls when it’s their turn on it. Because I know it’s gonna be our turn, we’re gonna want them to root for us, so we’re just gonna keep doing our thing and take these titles to as many places as possible.”

Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair recently defeated The Unholy Union (Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn) to reclaim the women’s tag titles which they had dropped in June. On the season premiere edition of Raw on September 9th, the Unholy Union challenged yet again for the gold but they were unsuccessful.

The Women’s tag team division hasn’t been thriving despite efforts from the likes of Damage CTRL and the newly formed Pure Fusion Collective. Belair and Cargill have been a top act in the women’s division but they need more credible opponents to pose a challenge for the titles. The powerhouse duo is having quite a run as a tag team but Cargill previously said that it was initially not in the plans.

Jade Cargill Silences AEW Talk, Wants To Focus On WWE Future

From 2021 to 2023, Jade Cargill was a force to be reckoned with in AEW and was also the promotion’s first-ever TBS Champion. Cargill’s 508-day reign remains the longest in history and the longest of any champion AEW. Nowadays, she is a WWE Superstar and is ready to focus on the future, not her past.

At WWE Bash In Berlin, Cargill and Bianca Belair regained the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. On the post-show press conference, Cargill’s AEW past was brought up and the ‘Storm’ made it clear she’s looking ahead.

“You know what, I’m so tired of answering questions about AEW. I’m proud to be from there; however, I’m here. The answer is that I’m here, and I want to focus on what’s next, and that’s solidifying and owning these tag team titles and making a name for ourselves.”

Despite being a WWE Superstar, Cargill has been asked about her AEW past numerous times since joining the bigger promotion in 2023. On the eve of her WrestleMania 40 debut, Cargill shared multiple reasons for her AEW exit when asked about departing the company.

Now, Jade Cargill is looking to the future and her second reign as a Women’s Tag Team Champion. Not only that, but Cargill has also set her sights on winning singles gold when the time is right. While AEW helped establish Jade Cargill as a name in wrestling, she’s ready to move forward with WWE, and with her booking thus far, the future looks very bright for the SmackDown Superstar.

WWE Superstars Honor Olympian Simone Biles On 8/23 SmackDown

A trio of WWE Superstars paid tribute to Olympic Champion Simone Biles on the latest edition of WWE SmackDown on FOX. During the show, Jade Cargill, Naomi, and Bianca Belair united to take on WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions The Unholy Union (Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn) and Blair Davenport. The two sides have been at odds for some time and Davenport has helped the champion retain their gold against Cargill and Belair.

Belair, Cargill, and Naomi wore a series of colorful attires for this week’s WWE SmackDown which aired from the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. Eagle-eyed fans will have noticed that these attires were all inspired by attires Biles has worn in gymnastics.

The Biles-inspired team got the win on SmackDown. The Unholy Union and Davenport isolated Belair until The EST finally made the tag to Cargill, who emerged as a one-woman wrecking crew. Naomi got the win for her team after hitting a split-legged moonsault on Blair Davenport.

What’s To Come?

The Unholy Union will defend their WWE Tag Team Championships at WWE Bash in Berlin against Jade Cargill & Bianca Belair. The challengers have so far had a mixed experience at WWE PLEs in Europe as they won the gold at Backlash: France and lost the titles to the Unholy Union at Clash At The Castle: Scotland.

WWE Bash In Berlin will take place on August 31, and will air from the Uber Arena in the German capital. The show will mark WWE’s first Premium Live Event from Germany and the latest in a string of shows that have seen WWE travel beyond North America. Stay tuned to SE Scoops for all the latest from WWE Bash in Berlin, including breaking news and live results next weekend.

Jade Cargill Eyes WWE Women’s Title Gold: “That’s Going to Happen”

Jade Cargill envisions huge things in her future as a WWE Superstar, with singles championship gold being just one accolade in mind. Speaking to Metro, Cargill gave her lofty prediction for her career trajectory in the promotion.

“I’m going to get the WWE Women’s World Title. That’s going to happen. Being a legend in this industry – that’s going to happen.”

Cargill also intends to be “a staple for the women’s division” in the future and hopes that working with the top women of WWE will allow her to continue to grow. The SmackDown Superstar is willing to let herself be “shaped and molded” as her career continues in WWE.

Jade Cargill In WWE

Cargill signed with WWE in September 2023, mere weeks after her tenure with AEW came to an end. From the very start, she has been presented as a huge draw and made her much-anticipated in-ring debut during the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble match. Cargill made it to the final three before being eliminated by Liv Morgan.

At WWE Backlash: France, Cargill and Bianca Belair captured the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships, marking the Storm’s first taste of gold in WWE. The pair’s return to Europe would not be as successful as they lost the gold to the Unholy Union at WWE Clash At The Castle: Scotland. Nevertheless, expectations remain sky-high for Cargill and it may be a matter of time before her predictions of gold and status become a reality.

WWE x Celebrity Family Feud Episode Airs 8/20 on ABC

Several WWE superstars (and one former talent) are the next contestants on Celebrity Family Feud. The latest WWE installment of the show airs this Tuesday, August 20, on ABC at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT and will also stream on Hulu. The episode features men vs. women, with Bobby Lashley, The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford), Austin Theory, and LA Knight taking on Mia Yim, Jade Cargill, Bianca Belair, Zelina Vega, and Sonya Deville.

The episode was taped back on April 13. At the time, Lashley was in a faction with The Street Profits as The Pride and was coming off a win over The Final Testament (Karrion Kross, Akam & Rezar) at WrestleMania 40 on April 7. His last televised match was a loss alongside Santos Escobar to LA Knight in a triple-threat match on the April 12 episode of Friday Night Smackdown.

Another notable example of the episode being taped is that Theory is pictured with the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship. He and his partner Grayson Waller would lose the titles to DIY(Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa) during Friday Night Smackdown on July 12.

The upcoming Celebrity Family Feud will give fans a different look at the WWE superstars outside the ring as they compete to answer the right questions. However, Lashley’s appearance in the episode will remind wrestling viewers that he is no longer with the company and put a spotlight on him as he enters free agency.

Bobby Lashley’s Next Moves

Lashley’s contract with WWE expired on August 16. He and his former Hurt Business ally, MVP, were moved to the company’s alumni section. In an Instagram post on the day of his WWE departure, Lashley shared a video of him working out with the caption,

“Every day is a new opportunity to push the limits and show the world what you are made of. I’ve got so much fight left in me, and I’m just getting started.”

Both are currently available to sign with any promotion with the expectation by fans that they will work together. It was also revealed that a company linked to MVP named Totally Harmless Concept, LLC, recently registered the trademark The Hurt Syndicate. Lashley is dealing with an arm injury but has openly shared that he wants to continue his wrestling career.

Time will tell who Lashley will compete for next. However, his appearance on Celebrity Family Feud gives him more exposure as he navigates free agency.
