Jade Cargill On Her Competitive Relationship With Bianca Belair

Jade Cargill tells SEScoops that her tag team with longtime friend Bianca Belair was like peanut butter and jelly, but at the end of the day, they’re both elite athletes and even they are competitive with one another.

Cargill has quickly found success in WWE after making her debut at the Royal Rumble on January 27. After a dominant run in All Elite Wrestling as a singles talent, wrestling fans believed she would immediately follow the same career path in WWE. However, WWE Chief Content Officier Paul “Triple H” Levesque decided to pair her with Bianca Belair, which has led to the two powerhouse superstars becoming a fan-favorite tag team and great friends.

Cargill and Belair became the Women’s Tag Team Champions by defeating The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane) at Backlash on May 4. Although their reign didn’t last long, the “Babyface” duo have continued to be featured prominently on TV. In addition to their successful partnership, they developed a strong bond outside the ring.

In an interview with SEScoops correspondent Ella Jay over SummerSlam 2024 weekend, Cargill discussed her friendship with the “EST” and how their chemistry came together.

“It’s just natural. I mean, I feel like we’ve known each other for a long time. It’s like peanut butter and jelly,” said Cargill.

“…It’s like we have similar experiences in different ways. The chemistry just came off naturally. It wasn’t anything that was forced.”

While they have become great friends on and offscreen, Cargill and Belair have also engaged in friendly competition in the ring. Fans have seen both superstars showcase their athleticism in matches over the last few months. In the interview, Cargill commented on their competitiveness and how they push each other in the ring.

“At the core, we’re athletes, so we always want to one-up one another, right?”

“That’s what makes our tag team one of one, and while we’re out there and doing things that we’re doing and doing nothing but wanting to elevate the women’s division.”

WWE’s decision to pair them has worked in Cargill’s favor, as she continues to show growth in the ring and has silenced some of her critics. The experience of working as a tag team could lead to the former AEW superstar standing out more on her own in the future. For now, Cargill and Belair are focused on reclaiming the tag titles from The Unholy Union (Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn)and dominating the women’s division.

Bianca Belair Admits Peeing Herself During Nia Jax Match

WWE’s “Hottest Event Of The Year” is almost upon us, as superstars have begun to promote Summerslam for different media outlets. The event will occur at the Cleveland Brown Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio, on August 3. WWE superstars Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill recently appeared on the popular Hot Ones Versus show on YouTube to eat spicy chicken and share their secrets to get fans interested in the premium live event.

In the episode, the former tag team champions were tested against each other by answering questions honestly or having to eat extraordinarily hot chicken flats.

One of the notable funny moments was when Belair shared that Cargill’s most annoying quality as a tag partner is that it takes her a long time to get ready for a match. The former All Elite Wrestling superstar believed it was the first time Belair had mentioned it, while “The EST” recalled a moment where she had to text Cargill to see if she was done preparing before their walkout.

Another interesting tidbit was Belair sharing that she has peed herself in a match. She jokingly noted that as a reason why she doesn’t do leg drops and admitted to peeing herself in a match against Nia Jax. Belair recalled it happening when she lost to Jax in the Queen of The Ring semi-finals on the May 24 episode of Friday Night Smackdown. The former WWE tag champion remembered that the minor accident occurred when Jax landed her Annihilator finisher.

Although it may sound embarrassing to fans, Cargill said it is common in wrestling. That said, she has yet to experience a situation like her partner and isn’t anticipating it either.

What’s Next For Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill?

Belair and Cargill are motivated to reclaim their tag team championships from The Unholy Union (Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn). They lost the titles to Fyre and Dawn at Clash At The Castle on June 15. Since then, Belair and Cargill have regrouped and have recently caught the “Heel” champions’ attention.

Fyre and Dawn called out the former champions after Belair defeated Chelsea Green on the July 19 episode of Friday Night Smackdown. The Unholy Union shared that they will be on the July 26 show and contemplate giving Belair and Cargill a title opportunity.

A matchup seems possible for SummerSlam as the card is still being developed. It’s worth noting that Belair and Cargill are on the poster for the upcoming PLE, and the former AEW superstar said that they will be there on Hot Ones Versus.

Regardless, Belair and Cargill have shown in their recent media appearance to develop a bond both in and out of the ring.

Tiffany Stratton Calls Controversial Jade Cargill Video An “Honest Mistake”

Tiffany Stratton made an “honest mistake” by uploading a video featuring Jade Cargill that earned a considerable backlash among the WWE Universe.

The offending video in question was shared on Instagram and saw Jade and Stratton on opposing ends of a tag-team match at a WWE live event. In the video, Cargill is called a “Black b***h” after a slap from the former WWE NXT Women’s Champion.

While Stratton herself did not utter the words, and the audio clip is used in several videos on Instagram and TikTok, the video spawned a backlash with accusations of racial insensitivity. Some fans even went as far as to tag Triple H and WWE and demand Stratton’s termination from the company.

Tiffany Stratton On Her Video

Stratton quickly deleted the video and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted at the time that “If this was someone who wasn’t a star they’d be fired instantly.” Fortunately, for Stratton that didn’t happen and she has remained a part of the roster. Speaking to Adrian Hernandez ahead of the WWE Money in the Bank 2024 PLE, Stratton was asked about the video in question.

“It was an honest mistake. I didn’t hear the audio. I had it up for maybe 20 seconds and I deleted it instantly as soon as I heard the audio. It was an honest mistake.”

Following the video, Stratton quietly bowed out of the WWE Women’s Championship picture and did not win the Queen of the Ring tournament as many had expected. With that said, it is impossible to tell if this was a ‘punishment’ for the video, or if this was simply WWE’s plans in motion. Whatever the case may be, Stratton’s video is a reminder to all to watch what they put out on social media.

Jade Cargill Says Tag Team With Bianca Belair “Came Out Of The Blue”

Jade Cargill didn’t see herself being in a tag team with Bianca Belair when she joined WWE but the ‘Storm’ isn’t mad that this is exactly what has happened.

Cargill isn’t just in a tag team with Belair but the pair are the reigning WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. This reign marks Belair’s first tag title reign in WWE and Cargill’s first reign of any kind since joining WWE in September 2023.

Speaking to the Title Sports Network, Cargill spoke about teaming with the EST and how such a pairing wasn’t initially in her plans.

“It wasn’t something that was in my cards or my deck. Came out the blue. But teaming with the EST, we’re unstoppable. Who’s going to beat us? Like, let’s really think about that right now. No one. So we knew it was coming. We knew that, you know, we had phenomenal. The Kabuki Warriors are great. You know, they held the belts down, but it’s our time.”

What’s to Come?

While Cargill and Belair have impressed as a tag team, many fans are waiting to see the two feud. Even before Jade joined WWE, she and the EST had been compared to one another as both are athletic, successful black women. So far, WWE have yet to give a tease of a feud though many expect it’ll eventually come.

In the meantime, Cargill and Belair will look to keep their title reign going for as long as possible. On last week’s Raw, Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark earned the right to challenge for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. It is unclear when this title match will take place.

In addition to the King And Queen of the Ring event, the May 24, episode of WWE SmackDown will also take place in Jeddah, which will be a first for WWE.

WWE Superstars in Jeddah

With two stacked nights of WWE programming to come, the Superstars have already arrived in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. On Twitter, the official WWE account shared several videos of the Superstars making their arrival.

WWE SmackDown Superstar Chelsea Green shared what her day has been like in Saudi Arabia so far. The former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion will face Bayley at WWE SmackDown.

Women’s Tag Team Champions Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair, alongside Liv Morgan and ‘Michin’ Mia Yim were having fun in the sun at Oia Beach ahead of this weekend’s festivities.

Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill’s Next Challengers For WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles Determined During 5/20 RAW

Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles from Damage CTRL at Backlash in France. Now, their next challengers have been determined, setting the stage for an exciting title defense.

The May 20 edition of WWE RAW featured a fatal four-way match to decide who would face Belair and Cargill for the titles. The match included Ivy Nile and Maxxine Dupri, Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark, Katana Chance and Kayden Carter, and Damage CTRL’s Dakota Kai and Kairi Sane. The competition was fierce as each team vied for the #1 contender spot.

In the end, Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark secured the win by hitting Dupri with an alley-oop into a high knee double team move. This victory earned them the #1 contender spot for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.

This is interesting, because Sonya Deville returned to WWE television earlier in the night after a nine-month hiatus. She had a backstage segment with the new #1 contenders, adding a layer of intrigue to the night’s events. Deville’s return was a notable moment, sparking curiosity about her future role.

The date for the next WWE Women’s Tag Team Title defense has not been announced, but it was promoted as a “future title opportunity.” As of now, the match is not booked for the 2024 Queen and King of the Ring on May 25. Fans are eagerly awaiting more details about when and where Baszler and Stark will challenge for the titles.

While Jade Cargill is out of the tournament after a DQ loss to Nia Jax on SmackDown, Bianca Belair is still competing. Belair will face Jax this Friday for a spot in the finals, where the winner will take on Lyra Valkyria in Saudi Arabia.

WWE Queen & King of the Ring Tournament First Round Results, Quarterfinal Matches Set (Updated)

WWE SmackDown took over Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania’s Mohegan Sun Arena with a sold-out show this week. Those fans witnessed some incredible King and Queen of the Ring Tournament matches take place.

The 2024 King and Queen of the Ring tournaments have begun in WWE, featuring matches on Raw and SmackDown. The finals will go down at a live event in Saudi Arabia on Saturday, May 25. Thirty-two competitors from the roster are vying for the crown, a title previously held by many notable wrestlers.

On WWE SmackDown this week, they continued their road to King & Queen of the Ring. In the first match of the night, Nia Jax defeated Naomi to advance in the tournament.

Carmelo Hayes, the former NXT Champion, won his match against Baron Corbin to advance in the tournament. Hayes secured the victory with a roll-up pin, which didn’t significantly hurt Corbin’s standing, as he was just call-up from NXT during the 2024 WWE Draft along with Hayes.

Additionally, the match featured sponsorship from “The Iron Claw” on Max, with MAX graphics on the barricades and entrance as Corey Graves mentioned the Von Erich Family biopic post-match.

Jade Cargill also advanced toward the 2024 Queen of the Ring crown as she defeated Piper Niven. It’s hard not to see the former TBS Champion as a favorite in the tournament. Cargill impressed throughout the match, executing a blue thunder bomb on Niven, along with perfect splashes in the corner.

Chelsea Green tried to interfere, but there was no stopping the Storm from coming as she won with a Jaded. This win for Cargill also set up a match against Nia Jax next, and that will be another incredible test for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion.

Bianca Belair made her entrance as her tag team partner, Cargill, was leaving. This gave them a chance to pose as WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions before the match kicked off. After a back-and-forth contest, Belair won the match to advance in the tournament.

Tama Tonga picked up the win over Angelo Dawkins to advance this week. Dawkins replaced Bobby Lashley, who had to pull out. Tonga is coming off his brother, Tanga Loa, debuting at WWE Backlash in France, so he wanted to keep that momentum going. Tonga also got to show off his new entrance on SmackDown.

AJ Styles and Randy Orton brought the third and final King of the Ring match of the night. The two veterans continued as Orton developed a leg injury during the match, one he sold to enhance the drama. Orton fought to keep from getting trapped in a Calf Crusher from the Phenomenal One as fans chanted The Viper on.

They fought on, and Orton delivered his signature suspended DDT, but he was unable to capitalize. The Apex Predator was able to kick out of a Phenomenal Forearm and then he hit an RKO outta nowhere to secure the win.

The King and Queen of the Ring tournaments will culminate on May 25 at the Jeddah Super Dome in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where the finals for both tournaments will take place.

Jade Cargill Shares Tribute to Late Mom After WWE Women’s Tag Title Win at Backlash

New WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Jade Cargill was obviously pleased with her victory at WWE Backlash France, but wishes her mom could’ve been there.

At WWE’s first French PLE, Cargill and Bianca Belair captured the Women’s Tag Team Championships; the first title for Cargill since her groundbreaking WWE signing last September. The win also marks the first tag title reign for Belair, who is a former Raw and SmackDown Women’s Champion.

A raucous audience in the LDLC Arena watched Belair and Cargill win the titles as well as countless fans watching around the world. Unfortunately, Jade’s mother was not among them as the elder Cargill passed away in December 2023 following a lengthy battle with cancer

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Jade paid tribute to her mom and said she wishes she could have seen her win in Lyon.

”I really wish I could have had my mom there last night. But I know God has a reason for it all. I know she’s proud of me.”

Cargill’s tribute to her late mother.

Cargill’s quick ascent through the WWE ranks demonstrate the promotion’s lofty faith in her to be a top woman in the company. It’s hard to ignore the similarities to AEW where Jade quickly became the first AEW TBS Champion, a title she held for over 500 days. If the past is any indicator, expect a lengthy title run for the Storm and more gold in her future.

Jade Cargill & Bianca Belair Win WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles At Backlash

History was made at Saturday’s WWE Backlash premium live event from a sold-out LDLC Arena in Lyon, France. Not only was it the largest gate for an arena event in company history, but we also saw new Women’s Tag Team Champions crowned. Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair captured the titles by defeating Asuka and Kairi Sane and ending their 99-day reign.

Ceremonial Triple H Photo

Backstage after their win, Cargill and Belair took a photo with Triple H. He congratulated them and hyped them as quite possibly the ‘biggEST storm’ to hit the women’s tag team division since it launched.

This marks Bianca Belair’s first time holding tag team in WWE and represents a new challenge for the 3-time Women’s Champion and (2021) Royal Rumble winner. It’s the first WWE championship for Jade Cargill, who previously had a long run with the AEW TBS Champion. Cargill has already made noticeable progress in the ring since joining WWE and will learn a great deal by teaming with a world-class worker like Belair.

After The Event

Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair kicked off the WWE Backlash press conference. When asked about being role models, Cargill expressed that it means a great deal to her, especially as an example for her daughter. Belair highlighted the significance of representation for women and praised the NXT Women’s Division.

The pair were also asked about their experience winning in France. They both shared their happiness, with Cargill describing the victory as electrifying and unexpected, noting that their formation as a tag team was a surprise to many. They expressed ambitions to dominate the Women’s Division and discussed potential opponents from both the main roster and NXT.

When questioned about her switch from AEW to WWE, Cargill mentioned that the support from everyone has been overwhelming. She described the transition as unprecedented and expressed gratitude for the opportunities she has received in WWE.

WWE Draft 2024: Superstars React To Night Two Picks on 4/29 Episode of Raw

The WWE roster has had plenty to say following Night Two of the 2024 Draft taking place during the April 29, episode of Monday Night Raw.

This year’s draft continued on the red brand with 20 selections being made in total. On Twitter, Chelsea Green was excited about new opportunities after she (and Piper Niven) were moved to SmackDown.

Bianca Belair was pleased that the ‘Big 3’ will be staying on SmackDown. Naomi has also been picked by the blue brand while Bianca Belair was the #1 pick during Night One of the draft.

The Pride, consisting of Bobby Lashley, the Street Profits, and B-Fab will be staying on SmackDown. Lashley gave an ominous message to those on the blue brand.

Montez Ford was similarly excited to remain with the rest of The Pride on the SmackDown brand.

Tiffany Stratton is pleased that she’ll continue to appear on SmackDown after being selected in the second round of the draft’s second night.

Braun Strowman was selected by Raw and made his first WWE TV appearance in months following an injury. The Monster Among Men confronted U.S. Champion Logan Paul on Raw and had a warning after his appearance.

The new rosters will officially come into effect following the WWE Backlash: France Premium Live Event on May 4. There will also be the Supplemental Draft: Night Two that will see more Superstars be chosen. Anyone who isn’t picked after the Supplemental Draft will be considered a free agent and eligible to be picked down the line.

More on the 2024 WWE Draft

Here are some recent articles regarding the 2024 WWE Draft as the landscape of WWE continues to change:

Rhea Ripley Excited For Future Dream Match With Jade Cargill

All eyes are on Jade Cargill as she aims to dominate the WWE women’s division. She made her impressive in-ring debut with the company in the Women’s Royal Rumble Match on January 27 and had fans wanting more. After two months of inactivity, she teamed up with Bianca Belair and Naomi in a win against Damage CTRL(Asuka, Kairi Sane & Dakota Kai) at WWE WrestleMania 40 on April 6

As she continues to build momentum in the company, WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley already has her eyes on Cargill.

During a surprise appearance at the Cheat Heat Live event over WrestleMania weekend,  host Peter Rosenberg asked Ripley if she was looking forward to a potential clash with the new WWE superstar. She replied that she was excited to step into the ring against Cargill.

“…I mean, it really excites me. It does. I love a good challenge, and Jade Cargill is someone that I think could bring that to me,” said Ripley. The champion also spoke highly of her potential rival and what impresses her about Cargill. “… She looks the part. She acts the part. She talks the part. She dresses the part. She does everything correct and when that day comes, I think that’s a big match feel. I don’t know when that will be, whether it is WrestleMania 41, WrestleMania 42, (WrestleMania)43, I’m not sure, but when that day comes, people are going to be talking about it, and people are going to be looking forward to it, so I’m also looking forward to it.”

Ripley also confidently said she will champion when she finally faces Cargill. Although fans and Ripley are looking forward to a dream match, it seems it won’t happen soon.

What’s Next For Jade Cargill?

Both Cargill and Ripley’s future is uncertain, as both are expected to be involved in the upcoming WWE Draft. It will start on the April 26 episode of WWE Friday Night Smackdown and continue on the April 29 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw. It’s unclear what brand either superstar will end up on.

However, the company has also decided to pair Cargill with Belair as they try to dominate the women’s tag team division.

On the April 12 episode of WWE Friday Night Smackdown, Cargill teamed with Belair to defeat former tag champions Chelsea Green and Piper Niven. After the match, WWE Commentator Corey Graves teased that they could be looking to take over the women’s tag division. In a backstage interview, Cargill and Belair confirmed their intentions, saying that they like working together and want to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship from the Kabuki Warriors(Asuka & Sane).

After defeating Damage CTRL at WWE WrestleMania 40 and recently Green and Niven, it seems only a matter of time before Cargill and Belair get a title opportunity. If true, fans shouldn’t expect the new WWE superstar to be on the hunt for Ripley’s championship for some time. Although the dream match won’t occur anytime soon, the more Cargill accomplishes in WWE, the bigger the eventual showdown will be when it happens.

Jade Cargill Is Waiting For The Right Moment To Use “Viral” Cosplay In WWE

Jade Cargill hasn’t left her cosplay days behind her but the ‘Storm’ is waiting for the right opportunity in WWE to show her costuming skills.

Since joining WWE in September 2023, Cargill has been quite the talking point among fans but has yet to use any of the cosplay costumes that fans saw from her in All Elite Wrestling. Speaking to Evan Mack over WrestleMania week, Cargill suggested that her days cosplaying in the ring are not over just yet.

“I love cosplay. I’m just trying to save it for those phenomenal moments so it can go viral, like all my cosplay that I’ve done for every entrance that I’ve done at AEW, guys.”

Jade Cargill’s Cosplay

During her AEW run, Cargill used cosplay for several prominent matches with the company. At AEW Revolution, Jade would live up to her name by cosplaying as Jade from the Mortal Kombat video game series.

At the now-infamous AEW All Out 2022 show, Cargill cosplayed as She-Hulk from Marvel Comics. She would also cosplay as Cheetara from the Thundercats series and Miruko from My Hero Academia.

Cargill’s biggest inspiration however is Storm, the X-Men character and inspiration behind her ‘The Storm’ moniker. During an interview with ComicBook.com, Cargill said she’d love to play the Goddess of the Weather in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“Yes, I would love to! Guys, Come on guys, like Marvel, do you not see this? We don’t need, what is it called? The enhancement… this is real guys. Come on!”

Cargill is relatively new to her WWE career and the future looks very bright for ‘The Storm.’ With a spotlight on her, expect cosplay from Cargill when the time is right.

WWE Superstars To Go Head-to-Head On Upcoming Celebrity Edition Of Family Feud

The Superstars of WWE will be able to flex their game-show muscles as part of an upcoming episode of Celebrity Family Feud.

Taking to Twitter, Bianca Belair shared some photos from the taping and revealed that she is the captain of her team which consists of Belair, Jade Cargill, ‘Michin’ Mia Yim, Sonya Deville, and Zelina Vega.

The quintet of women will be up against Belair’s husband Montez Ford, Angelo Dawkins, Bobby Lashley, SmackDown Tag Team Champion Austin Theory, and LA Knight.

In a tweet of his own, Austin Theory was his usual cocky self at the Celebrity Family Feud taping.

It’s also worth noticing that Sonya Deville was part of the taping and did not need any sort of leg brace. The former Women’s Tag Team Champion has been out of action since June 2023 with an ACL injury, and the fact that she was able to do this taping unimpeded suggests that a return to the ring may be in the near future.

WWE On Game Shows

WWE appearances on Family Feud date as far back as 1992. In 2022, Rey Mysterio led a team of his family against The Miz. Team Mysterio would feature Dominik mere months before he turned on his Hall of Fame father to join The Judgment Day.

WWE Superstars have also appeared on The Weakest Link, with Triple H, Kane, and Xavier Woods proving their mental superiority in separate episodes. Superstars have also appeared on Wheel of Fortune.

The fact that WWE Superstars are set to appear on the show is another sign of the promotion’s ongoing popularity in the mainstream. With WWE firing on all cylinders right now, expect more big moves by the Superstars both in and out of the ring.

Jade Cargill, Naomi & Bianca Belair Triumph Over Damage CTRL at WWE WrestleMania 40

The trio of Jade Cargill, Naomi, and Bianca Belair proved to be a force to be reckoned with by emerging victorious at WWE WrestleMania 40.

In the fifth match of WWE WrestleMania 40: Saturday, the trio dispatched of Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai & WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Asuka & Kairi Sane.) The finish of the match saw Asuka accidentally mist Kairi Sane before the Empress of Tomorrow was dispatched of by Bianca Belair. Cargill would then level Dakota Kai to get the win for her team.

You can check out some highlights from the match below.

The Storm is Here

Going into this six-woman tag-team match, there was a lot of interest in how Jade Cargill would fare at her first WrestleMania. It wasn’t long into the match that “We Want Jade” chants rumbled throughout the massive crowd inside Lincoln Financial Field. Cargill certainly looked like she belonged in the ring at WrestleMania 40 and fans can expect the Storm to be at many WrestleManias and other Premium Live Events to come.

Cargill signed with WWE in September 2023 and was immediately treated as a massive high-profile acquisition for the company. Before arriving in WWE, Cargill made her name in All Elite Wrestling, where she was the first AEW TBS Champion. Her 508-day reign with the gold remains the longest title reign of any champion in AEW history.

Jade Cargill Reveals Multiple Factors Behind AEW Departure

Jade Cargill’s departure from AEW surprised a lot of fans. It did not take long for her to sign with WWE, but the company has certainly waited for the right moment to debut her.

Cargill is set to team up with Bianca Belair and Naomi as they take on Damage CTRL at WrestleMania 40. That will mark Cargill’s first-ever actual match in WWE, and it will happen on the grandest stage of them all. As her WWE star shines even brighter every week, many believe that AEW dropped the ball with her.

During an appearance on Busted Open Radio, host Dave LaGreca said that he feels as though AEW didn’t make the most of Jade. When asked if this was a reason for her AEW departure, she confirmed that many factors played into this decision.

“There are a couple of things that made me go to WWE other than the fact that the machine is ridiculous over here, the connections, the history, the legacy, it’s one of one, you know? AEW was a new company, they’re still figuring things out, obviously. That happens with every company, right? You have to figure out what’s good and what’s bad.” “I’m 31. I don’t have time to grow with the company at my age. I have to be in an established company, and I have to go over there and let it be known, because I can’t do this forever.”

She said that fans want to see “20 somethings on TV,” and she knew that her time is limited in the pro wrestling business. Jade went on to say that “time was not on my side, and I knew I had to make the best decision for me, and my family.” So, she decided to join WWE.

Jade Cargill’s AEW Exit

Tony Khan revealed that AEW offered Cargill more money to stay with them than she asked for. She still decided to do what was best for herself and make the jump to WWE.

Jade Cargill remained undefeated for nearly three years and was prominently featured by both AEW and WBD as one of their top talents. She was even showcased as the main athlete at the network’s upfronts for the past two years. Despite achieving everything possible in AEW, Cargill felt that only a move to WWE would allow her to reach the next echelon in the pro wrestling business.

In September 2023, Jade Cargill parted ways with AEW as her contract with the company came to an end. Just days after her departure, WWE secured Cargill with a multi-year contract.

WWE Made Several Changes To Jade Cargill’s Entrance Before 3/29 SmackDown Debut

Jade Cargill is now in WWE, and she’s making a lot of noise. “The Storm is Here,” seems to be more than just a new catchphrase.

A new report states that WWE had Jade Cargill’s entrance figured out well in advance. They also had input from a lot of people to make sure everything looked the best it could for the former TBS Champion.

Jade Cargill’s SmackDown Entrance

During the March 29th episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Jade Cargill debuted on the blue brand with a new entrance. This received a lot of attention from fans.

According to Corey Brennan on Fightful Select, Cargill’s entrance underwent extensive planning, with adjustments made over recent weeks. Input on various aspects of the entrance, including angles, lighting, and sound, was provided by “all major producers” within the company.

Jade Cargill At WrestleMania 40

Although WWE waited until late in the game, Cargill was booked for a WrestleMania 40 match during the March 29 episode of SmackDown.

Cargill will join Naomi and Bianca Belair to take on Damage CTRL’s Asuka, Kairi Sane, and Dakota Kai in a six-woman tag team match. That will also mark Cargill’s second match in the company after her 2024 Royal Rumble debut.

Cargill’s entrance is anticipated to undergo further modifications, possibly even at WrestleMania, although its foundational elements were established during SmackDown. We will have to see how things evolve from this point on.

Cargill has been quite open about her AEW departure. Tony Khan offered her more money to stay with AEW than she asked for, but she left anyway. In the end, Cargill unapologetically says that she did what she had to do.

SEScoops will have more on this story, and many more, as Jade Cargill continues making her mark in WWE. Keep checking back throughout the day for more headlines.

Jade Cargill on Parting Ways With AEW: “I did what I had to do”

WWE Superstar Jade Cargill has proclaimed that she departed AEW on a positive note without any ill feelings.

Cargill became one of the hottest free agents in the industry when she left AEW in September last year. It soon came to light that her contract had expired and she decided to venture out onto a different path.

The former AEW TBS Champion later penned a multi-year deal with WWE, becoming the first signing of the new regime of TKO Group Holdings and the second high-profile former AEW star to join WWE after Cody Rhodes, who signed in 2022.

Jade Cargill has revealed that jumping ship to WWE was “all business”. Speaking with Fightful, the former AEW star made it clear that everybody was elated for her future and she left in a professional manner. Cargill said:

“It’s all business, it’s all business. I left in a very loving, professional manner. I did what I had to do. Everybody was very elated for me, whether they figured something out or not. They were elated for me, they were happy for me. No ill feelings towards in any manner.”

Later in the interview, it was noted to her that many people in AEW will be ready to welcome her if she ever decides to go back to the promotion. The 31-year-old superstar replied that she has friends in both the promotions and she wants them to succeed. She said:

“Yes, it did. At the end of the day, these are my friends. Like, I have friends here, I have friends over there. I just want to see everybody excel and make money. Like, we all want to make money and create a name for ourselves and help out the next generation of wrestlers that want to adopt this sport.”

Jade Cargill’s WrestleMania 40 match

Though Cargill has been with WWE for several months she has only competed once when she made her in-ring debut at the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble match. However, her next match is set. Last night, the SmackDown superstar made an appearance on the blue brand and said that she is bringing the storm at WrestleMania 40.

In the main event on SmackDown, Jade Cargill came to the aid of Bianca Belair and Naomi when Damage CTRL assaulted them. SmackDown GM Nick Aldis later made it official that Cargill will team up with Belair and Naomi to take on Damage CTRL (Asuka, Kairi Sane & Dakota Kai) at the ‘Show of Shows’.

The Storm is Here: Jade Cargill to Compete in Six-Woman Tag Match at WWE WrestleMania 40

Jade Cargill will make her WrestleMania debut next month as part of a six-woman tag-team match confirmed on Friday Night SmackDown.

The March 29, edition of SmackDown saw the blue brand continue on the road to WrestleMania 40. WWE’s annual Showcase of the Immortals will take place on April 6 and April 7 from the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA.

Jade Cargill at WrestleMania

On this week’s SmackDown, Nick Aldis welcomed Cargill to the show, mere days after it was confirmed she’d signed with the blue brand. Jade said that while WWE’s women’s division is the best in the world, nobody else can be Jade Cargill and was ready to bring the ‘storm’ to Friday nights.

Later in the show, Bianca Belair defeated Dakota Kai in a hard-fought match but the EST was ambushed by Kai, Asuka, and Kairi Sane after the match. Naomi emerged to aid the EST but the numbers game proved to be too much for Belair and the former TNA Knockouts Champion.

That would be when Cargill arrived and cleared house. The ‘Storm’ stood tall with Belair and Naomi and the three women pointed in unison at the WrestleMania sign. It was later confirmed that the trio will take on Damage CTRL at WrestleMania 40.

Jade Cargill

Cargill signed with WWE in September 2023 and was immediately treated as a massive high-profile acquisition for the company. Prior to this, Cargill made her name in AEW, where she was the first AEW TBS Champion. Her 508-day reign remains the longest title reign of any champion in AEW history.

CM Punk Injury Update: Also, on a related note, CM Punk was spotted training without his arm brace on. That is a great sign for his recovery progress, but we’re still MONTHS away from that happening.

AJ Lee Rumor: I ran an exclusive story last night about AJ Lee’s current status with WWE. A report was going around saying that talks are ongoing, but I had to clear everything up. At this time, there are no such discussions.

WWE Scripts: SEScoops ran an exclusive story about exactly how long WWE has been having their scripts approved. It seems that this practice hasn’t been going on for too long at all.

Bray Wyatt Documentary: We’re going to keep mentioning this, because everyone needs to see this. Bray Wyatt’s upcoming documentary, Bray Wyatt: Becoming Immortal, will drop on April 1st. WWE made the official announcement yesterday, and fans should expect quite a presentation for that passion project.

Jenson issued an apology for wearing the shirt and said he wasn’t aware of Anderson’s questionable behavior.

RAW Ratings: The March 18th episode of WWE RAW, which took place at the PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina, attracted 1.69 million viewers, marking a 4% decrease from the previous week’s broadcast. The 0.55 rating in the P18-49 demographic was essentially even with the previous week’s 0.56.

Lost In The Jungle? Speaking of TK, it seems that he’s still upset with ‘Jungle Boy’ Jack Perry for his role in CM Punk’s departure from AEW. That said to be the reason why we haven’t seen him on TV since his suspension.  Perry still under contract with AEW, and competing in NJPW.

Matt Hardy at RAW: Matt Hardy and his wife Reby were spotted in a luxury box during WWE RAW in Raleigh, North Carolina. He was there visiting friends and sources backstage said they didn’t see Matt mingling. Hardy later claimed that he was only in the building for about an hour and a half.

Jade Cargill Teases Involvement in WrestleMania 40 Feud After 3/1 SmackDown Appearance

Jade Cargill made her presence felt on this week’s SmackDown and we may be seeing more of the impressive talent as we get closer to WrestleMania 40.

During this week’s SmackDown, Dakota Kai turned on Bayley and made clear that she was on the side of Damage CTRL. This came after Bayley and Kai challenged the Kabuki Warriors for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. Kai, Asuka, Kairi Sane, and IYO SKY delivered a sickening four-on-one attack on the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble winner.

Jade Cargill Responds

Jade Cargill was also a part of this week’s SmackDown and came face to face with IYO SKY. The inaugural AEW TBS Champion once again exhumed confidence as she has throughout her wrestling career.

Taking to Twitter after SmackDown, Jade Cargill said what happened on the show was not right and said that someone like IYO SKY shouldn’t be holding a “belt” for acting this way. Moments later, the ex-AEW star corrected herself, stating that the WWE Women’s Champion held by SKY is “MY belt.”

Jade Cargill Involved?

Cargill’s comments certainly imply that she’s supporting Bayley in this feud. It isn’t beyond the realms of possibility that Cargill could get physical and back the Role Model up. It’d certainly be fitting for Cargill to have a role on the road to WrestleMania, given that WWE clearly sees her as a potential top star.

Jade Cargill on SmackDown

Cargill appeared on SmackDown shortly after signing with WWE in 2023. During her segment, she came face-to-face with Charlotte Flair. At the time, it was speculated that a feud was being planned, potentially with a match at WrestleMania. If that was the plan, it’ll have been scrapped as Flair will miss most of 2023 due to a leg injury

Booker T Wants To See More Of Jade Cargill, Pitches Her For WrestleMania 40

WWE fans are waiting in anticipation for Jade Cargill’s next match for the company. She made her in-ring debut in the Women’s Royal Rumble Match on January 27, where she impressed many with her performance. Although she didn’t win, it had fans buzzing about her future in the company. However, WWE is taking it slow in showcasing her more in-ring.

Since the WWE Royal Rumble, the newly signed WWE superstar has appeared on WWE Monday Night Raw and Friday Night Smackdown. Cargill’s current storyline is that she is trying to decide what brand she wants to sign with.

On the February 16 episode of WWE Friday Night Smackdown, Cagill seemingly hinted at not wanting to sign with the brand and looked annoyed by the lack of attention.

Although the company features her on TV, Booker T has spoken openly about wanting to see her in the ring soon. On his podcast Hall of Fame, the WWE legend was asked by a fan what brand he believes Cargill will sign with and if she could have her singles debut at WWE WrestleMania 40 in April.

Booker T responded that he wanted to see her in the ring more and wouldn’t mind WWE using her like All Elite Wrestling did.

“…I don’t care if they did the same thing they did with her over in AEW. Just put her in there and beat up some people. You know what I mean? Squash a few girls,” said Booker T.

Booker T On Jade Cargill Training & Potential Match At WrestleMania 40

While Cargill’s in-ring career has been put on hold, Booker T acknowledges that she is actively training at the WWE Performance Center. Cargill showed the results of her work in the Women’s Royal Rumble Match and believes the company knows what they have with her.

“I’m sure she is down in the PC training on a regular basis, and that might be even better for her. You know, you never know. Just because the last time we saw Jade Cargill, she looked pretty damn good in the ring,” said Booker T. He explained, “She did not look like she was out of place at all, and I think that comes from just that little bit of training. Trying to learn that intricate detail, as far as why you are in the ring.”

Regarding her making her singles debut at WWE WrestleMania 40, Booker T thinks it could help with her appeal.

“…It may not be a bad thing her having a match at Mania, then going out there and shocking the world man! Letting the people see what Jade Cargill is all about. I’m not opposed to that,” said the WWE Hall of Famer.

A featured singles match at WWE WrestleMania 40 could be a great way to showcase Cargill’s skills on a big stage. However, the company is trying to ensure she is prepared to be a regular roster member. Booker T and fans will have to wait and see what the company has in store for her.

Jade Cargill Removed: Likely Reason Why WWE Took Her Out Of Elimination Chamber Plans

Jade Cargill made a big impression on the WWE roster when she finally made her debut. Although she hasn’t mixed it up much, she is around. There was a slot for her at the Elimination Chamber in Perth, Australia, but WWE changed those plans around.

Cargill is out of the Chamber

Despite Jade Cargill’s impactful debut at the Royal Rumble, WWE has yet to get her really going with an angle. The initial plans for her involvement in Elimination Chamber have been changed.

During this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, Raquel Rodriguez made her big return and secured the final spot in the Women’s Elimination Chamber match by winning the last-chance battle royal. Cargill wasn’t even in the last chance battle royal.

WWE initially had plans for Jade Cargill at Elimination Chamber, but those were ultimately discarded. While speaking about this on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer shed light on Jade Cargill’s situation, as he said that the possible reason for pulling her laid on the fact that it made no creative sense to put her in that match if she is not going to win it.

“Obviously we saw something change in the women’s match. The women’s battle Royal, and it probably did since Friday. Because, if you saw the scene on Friday where they had everyone there that was for the women’s Chamber, they had Cargill in the room, basically foreshadowing and the plan was Cargill, and then they took her out, probably for all the reasons I said they should. I mean, because if you actaully looked at it, it made no sense to put her in that chamber match, none at all, and so they didn’t. They put Raquel Rodriguez in there instead.”

Jade Cargill’s First Impression In WWE

Earlier this week, I inquired about Jade Cargill’s status for the Royal Rumble. In response, I was informed that WWE has several plans in store for Cargill. While it wasn’t explicitly confirmed whether she would participate in the Royal Rumble match, her presence at rehearsals on Thursday strongly suggests her involvement.

Following her signing with WWE, Jade Cargill made a notable appearance during the Fastlane kickoff show. However, her visibility has been limited since then, with only brief appearances on RAW, SmackDown, and NXT. During these instances, she remained backstage, with her entrance music undisclosed and her presence in the ring unseen.

After Cargill’s debut for the company, I was told that there was “a ton of buzz about how professional Jade Cargill was backstage, how impressive she is up close, how well she fit in, and how quickly she did that.”

What’s Next In WWE

Raquel Rodriguez apparently took Cargill’s spot in the last-chance battle royal. We will have to see how WWE books the big chamber match in Perth, but Jade Cargill apparently didn’t factor into their plans.

SEScoops will have continued coverage of Elimination Chamber, and everything else going on in the pro wrestling world.
