Jason Jordan Pulled From Upcoming TV & Live Events

Last night’s segment on Monday Night RAW, in which General Manager Kurt Angle told his ‘son’ Jason Jordan to go home until he’s medically cleared to return, was a way to write Jordan off WWE TV while he deals with a legitimate neck injury. PWInsider now reports Jordan has been pulled from traveling on the road with WWE and will not be at upcoming TV tapings or live events.

WWE has been doing their best to work around Jordan’s injury in recent weeks. It was recently reported that if Jordan needs surgery to repair his neck that he could be out for up to a year. It should be noted, however, that Jordan’s wife recently took to social media to confirm the injury. But she did note that recent reports have been greatly exaggerated and called the injury ‘minor’:

“Yes, “Jason Jordan” is injured. I assure you everything you have seen online is “Fake News!” He has a minor neck injury and will be back in no time! Although, I am very excited to have him home for a bit, I promise, I will help guide him to a speedy recovery! Thank you to everyone who reached out to check on him! He is very positive and already planning his comeback! In the meantime, just please keep sending Nathan and I good vibes!! ”

More Details On How Serious Jason Jordan’s Injury Actually Is

Its been noted that former WWE RAW Tag Team Champion Jason Jordan has been dealing with a neck injury for the past few weeks. The storyline son of WWE Hall Of Famer and Monday Night RAW General Manager Kurt Angle has been limited in the amount of work he has been allowed to do inside the squared circle. In the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer offered an update on Jordan’s current status.

Meltzer compared Jordan’s injury to that of Arn Anderson, Chris Benoit, and Edge in the past; and indicated a surgery to fix the issue would keep Jordan out for up to a year. Given that Jordan would likely want to avoid any surgery that would keep him out that long, he’ll do anything in his power to avoid going under the knife:

“He’s having trouble gripping with his hands. His neck is in real bad shape.” He added, “it sounds like Arn Anderson, Chris Benoit, all those guys before they had surgery. That surgery [requires at least] a year off and I’m sure he’s doing everything in his power to avoid that surgery. I’m not saying he needs it but when your grip goes…Edge had the same thing. Edge couldn’t lift a dumbbell.”

“For better or for worse, he’s in the mix as a single [star]. I’m sure he just wants to be there and try to figure a way through it but this is a tough situation for him. I don’t know who the sixth guy will be but Jordan was planned to be the sixth guy and most likely Jordan and Rollins, the way everything was being built, was probably going to be a WrestleMania match. I don’t know how this works out.”

Jason Jordan’s Injury May Be More Serious Than Originally Believed

As many of you may know, Jason Jordan has been dealing with a injury for the past several weeks that has limited his ability to perform inside the ring. At this past Sunday’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view (PPV) Jordan left his tag team partner Seth Rollins to deal with The Bar on his own, and they dropped their RAW Tag Team Titles to the duo as a result.

Per a report from Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the injury is more serious than it was originally believed to be. The report suggests Jordan is actually dealing with a neck injury, contrary to rumors suggesting he’s dealing with a bad back. Meltzer also noted that Jordan is having trouble with his grip, which is never a good sign. WWE has been protecting him to the best of their ability by limiting the amount of physicality he has inside the ring.

Jordan was originally planned for this month’s Elimination Chamber match but there’s currently no word if he’ll be left out of the bout due to his injury. We’ll keep you updated as we learn more……

The Reason Jason Jordan Has Been Out-Of-Action, WWE Releases Rusev Day Calander

– One-half of the Monday Night RAW Tag Team Champions, Jason Jordan, has been out-of-action for the past few weeks with an undisclosed injury. – Rusev followed through on his promise recently, as WWE Shop has released a new “Rusev Day Calendar” for just $9.99. Both Aiden English and Rusev Tweeted out photos of the calendar, which features Lana as well:

Jason Jordan Injured

As noted over the weekend, Jason Jordan did not appear at this weekend’s RAW-brand live events as advertised.

Jordan (and Seth Rollins) had been scheduled to defend the RAW tag team titles against The Bar, but was replaced by Roman Reigns in 3-on-2 matches against The Miz and The Miztourage instead.

PWInsider reports that Jason Jordan missed the weekend shows in Texas due to injury. We are awaiting more details on the nature of his injury.

Jason Jordan Misses Friday’s WWE Live Event, The Reason Bobby Roode & Charlotte Flair Were Paired Together For MMC

– Jason Jordan was advertised to defend he and Seth Rollins’ RAW Tag Team Titles against Sheamus and Cesaro at a WWE live event from Amarillo, Texas this past Friday, but the son of WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle did not appear. The match never took place and Roman Reigns & Seth Rollins instead defeated The Miz, Curtis Axel, and Bo Dallas in a 2-on-3 Handicap match.

– Early last week it was announced that former NXT Champion Bobby Roode and SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair would be teaming up for the Mixed Match Challenge this week. It will air after SmackDown Live on Facebook Watch over the next several weeks. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that WWE paired the two up so they could be called “The Robe Warriors.”

Top RAW Star Was Considered To Tag Team With Seth Rollins Instead Of Jason Jordan, Sheamus Celebrates Cesaro’s Birthday (Photos)

– As seen on this past Monday’s special Christmas Day episode of Monday Night RAW, Jason Jordan and Seth Rollins defeated The Bar (Sheamus and Cesaro) to win the RAW Tag Team Championships. Jordan stepped in as a partner for “The Architect” after Dean Ambrose was forced to be sidelined for several months due to a bicep injury.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that aside from Jordan, former WWE Universal Champion Finn Balor was also considered to step in for Ambrose as well. In the end WWE creative decided to continue their push of Jordan and gave him the top babyface role instead.

– Cesaro celebrated his 37th birthday yesterday and Sheamus took to Twitter to post a few pictures of their celebration. It looks like a cake fight took place between the now-former RAW Tag Team Champions:

Kurt Angle Talks Jason Jordan Storyline

Kurt Angle recently appeared on CBS Sports’ podcast, “In This Corner”, and spoke about his current storyline with Jason Jordan. Angle also discussed how Vince McMahon felt fans would feel about the angle.

Kurt Angle Interview Highlights

On Jason Jordan’s ability:

“I knew Jason had the ability to do it. I didn’t know if he would have the ability to carry the storyline,” Angle said. “I knew what he could do in the ring. I wasn’t concerned about the fans saying, ‘Oh man, this guy is actually pretty damn good.’ We already knew that, and we were hoping that his character was [on the same level].”

On how Vince though fans would react:

“You know what’s crazy? Everything that the fans have gone through the last three or four months, most of the fans can’t stand him,” Angle said. “A lot of the fans are saying, ‘He’s getting the wrong kind of heat because we really don’t like him for real.’

“Everything that has occurred up until now, Vince [McMahon] already knew how they were going to react, so this has been working. As many fans will say ‘it’s not working’ and ‘get rid of him’ or ‘I’m not buying it,’ now that the storyline has started to span out and developing further, it was a good fit. Jason is doing a great job, and he has carried the storyline very well. We will see where it goes from here but it should be pretty intriguing.”

On where the angle is going:

“It’s going to be a pretty cool storyline, and I think a lot of fans are going to say, ‘You know what? This kid deserves to be in the main event level.’

“[Jordan] is developing every single week. He’s getting better and better, and his promos and pre-tapes are getting better and better. His in-ring ability — I said this before and I will say it again — he has got to be in the top three or the top five in-ring performers from an athletic standpoint right now today. A lot of people would disagree with me but continue to watch him and see what he can do and you will see what I’m talking about here in the future.”

Two WWE Stars Accept Roman Reigns’ Intercontinental Title Open Challenge

Last week Roman Reigns defeated The Miz to capture the Intercontinental Championship in the main event of Monday Night RAW. Shortly after the victory “The Big Dog” claimed that he’d be holding open challenges to defend his newly acquired title:

It turns out that two RAW stars have already seemingly accepted that challenge, as they took to Twitter to respond to Reigns. The son of RAW General Manager Kurt Angle, Jason Jordan, posted the following video in which he accepts Reigns’ open challenge:

Finn Balor also seemed to hint at challenging for Reigns’ title, claiming that not only will he “step up” to Reigns – but he’ll “step OVER” him:

Possible Spoiler For Top Survivor Series Match

After this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, Triple H has been inserted into this weekend’s traditional RAW vs. SmackDown Live Elimination Tag Team Match at Survivor Series. Jason Jordan was originally scheduled to serve as the team’s final member, however, he suffered a storyline injury in his match with Bray Wyatt and was removed from the team as a result.

Despite constant begging to his on-screen father, Monday Night RAW General Manager, and Team RAW Captain Kurt Angle – Jordan could not retain his spot on the team. He was instead replaced by WWE COO Triple H, who gave Jordan a Pedigree after announcing he was the new final member of Team RAW.

Per a report from Wrestling Observer Radio, Jordan is now expected to turn heel and it’s very likely it happens at Survivor Series. Speculation suggests Jordan costs Team RAW their match this weekend as he targets Triple H or maybe even Angle.

Triple H RAW Return Video, AJ Styles On Facing Brock Lesnar This Sunday, Post-RAW Note

– As noted, Triple H returned to WWE RAW on this week’s Survivor Series go-home edition and announced himself as the fifth member of the men’s Team RAW for the 5-on-5 Traditional Elimination Match at Sunday’s pay-per-view. Team RAW will now feature Team Captain Kurt Angle, Triple H, Braun Strowman, Finn Balor and Samoa Joe vs. Team SmackDown’s Captain Shane McMahon, John Cena, Randy Orton, Bobby Roode and Shinsuke Nakamura.

Triple H named himself to the team after Jason Jordan was removed following an injury angle at the hands of Bray Wyatt earlier in the show. Below is video from the segment with Triple H, featuring a Pedigree to Jordan:

– There was no dark main event following this week’s RAW in Atlanta due to the closing segment, which saw Braun Strowman powerslam Kane through the ring. For what it’s worth, WWE and the Philips Arena had Braun vs. Roman Reigns in a Street Fight plus Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose vs. RAW Tag Team Champions The Bar advertised locally.

– WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar appeared with Paul Heyman on this week’s RAW to address Sunday’s Survivor Series match and his new opponent, WWE Champion AJ Styles. Styles took to Twitter during RAW and tweeted the following on the match:

Seth Rollins & Jason Jordan Feature In Nail Biting UpUpDownDown Match-Up (Video)

The final round of the Madden 18 Tournament on UpUpDownDown saw 3 time champion Seth Rollins (The Champ) take on Jason Jordan (Dick Wellington).

The video starts with a confident Seth Rollins reliving his victories against AJ Styles and discussing how annoyed and upset The Phenomenal One was with the defeats.  Jason Jordan reminisced about Styles playing Madden backstage at shows, and how dedicated he was with the tournament.

By half time of Rollins vs Jordan, the two superstars are caught at a 7-7 draw, with Jordan scoring an interception in the last 20 seconds of the half.  And so began a second half of intense football that will never be forgotten.

Early in the second half Seth Rollins asked the question: “What happens if we go into overtime”.  Jason Jordan replied to the question by adding 6 points to the board and denying Rollins the chance to score any.  The Champ is no more.

Rollins has openly shown how nervous he can become while playing Madden, and this is no exception.  He was caught rocking back and forth as he tries to work out why and how he is losing; Jordan meanwhile remains cool, calm and collected.

Early in the game, the two discuss how greed caused the interception that led to Dick Wellington‘s first half score.  Later they continued by turning the events into wise lessons for all on the pitfalls of greed, adding a moral tone to the video.  Unfortunately Seth wasn’t able to hide his frustration and anger in the closing moments as he walked up with a few seconds still left on the clock.

This is the first time in Madden Tournament history that Seth Rollins has lost.  He is no longer invincible and there is now a guaranteed new Champion in this year’s tournament.  Safe options for this year’s Champion would be AJ Styles, Luke Harper or Kofi Kingston.

Highlights of the video:

  1. Just how close Seth Rollins gets to the screen in the final plays of the game.
  2. Seth Rollins’ monologue as he leaves the game, resulting in some well timed dolphin sounds to censor his emotions.
  3. This quote from The Champ: “Fudge me.  Fudge me right in the fudging fudge”.
  4. Jordan’s sheer delight at the end of the video, he can’t contain his happiness as Rollins rants down the corridor.
  5. The fact that Jordan never practiced, or played the latest Madden game.

Dick Wellington joins the winner of the SmackDown Live showdown that was released yesterday, Luke Harper who shocked Jimmy Uso with a solid performance.

Bonus Question:

Does this mean that Seth Rollins will have to change his GamerTag on UpUpDownDown as he is no longer The Champ?

WWE Could Be Planning A Big Heel Turn At Survivor Series

As seen on last night’s episode of Monday Night RAW, Jason Jordan was announced as the final member of Team RAW for the Traditional 5-on-5 RAW vs. SmackDown Survivor Series match. Dave Meltzer reacted to this on the latest installment of Wrestling Observer Radio, and speculated that the son of Kurt Angle could possibly turn heel at the event and betray his team. There’s still a possibility, however, that Roman Reigns can replace Jordan on the team when he returns on RAW next week.

After The Shield dropped their RAW Tag Team Titles to The Bar (Sheamus and Cesaro) last night, The Bar will now be facing off against The Usos at Survivor Series. WWE seems to be setting up a Shield vs. New Day match at Survivor Series, so it’s possible Reigns is used for that as well. We’ll keep you updated as we learn more…

Bro. It’s been a while, bro, since we had a pole match on RAW.

WWE has announced that Monday’s RAW from Manchester, England will feature a “Guitar on a Pole” match between Elias and Jason Jordan.

Kurt Angle Hints That His Angle With Jason Jordan Will Lead To His In-Ring Return

RAW General Manager Kurt Angle recently spoke with Foxsports.com.au and once again teased that we haven’t seen the last of him in a WWE ring.

“I feel great,” Angle said. “When you’re an athlete the way I’ve been my entire life — you want to get into the ring but I have to be patient and see how it pans out.”

Angle has yet to get checked out by WWE doctors to see if he can get medically cleared to wrestle, but did reveal that he’s subject to WWE’s talent Wellness Policy.

“I haven’t taken the physical to wrestle but the drug testing — I’m part of that. I’m a talent on TV. Although they don’t treat me as a wrestler, if you’re a talent, you’re involved in everything. “You can get drug tested at any point in time.”

If he does get the green light from WWE to compete again, Angle expects that his father-son storyline with Jason Jordan will be the catalyst for his in-ring return.

“I would say I will most likely wrestle. I have not taken a physical yet. I’m basically waiting on the boss. It’s up to Vince McMahon. I would imagine I will. I’d imagine the storyline is going to go somewhere with Jason Jordan, so I’m just being patient and enjoying the general manager job. Hopefully, eventually I’ll get back to wrestling.”

Photos: Kurt Angle & Jason Jordan Embark On Father-Son Media Day In Boston

Earlier this year, one of the hottest storylines on Monday Night RAW was General Manager Kurt Angle’s ‘secret’ that he was keeping under wraps for weeks alongside commentator Corey Graves. It was finally revealed by Angle himself that the secret looming over him the past few weeks was the fact that he discovered he had an illegitimate son from his college days. As for who his son is, it turns out it was none other than former SmackDown Live Tag Team Champ Jason Jordan.

For the past couple of weeks Jordan has been establishing himself as a singles competitor as he attempts to climb his way up the ladder on Monday Nights, however, he claims to want to do it without ‘special treatment’ from his father. RAW will be live from Boston, Massachusetts tonight (Mon. August 14, 2017) and both Angle and Jordan took to Twitter to post photos of their ‘#fatherson’ media day this morning to promote tonight’s show:

WWE Champion Jinder Mahal was then able to escape the Punjabi Prison and retain his WWE Championship while Randy Orton was stuck in Khali’s grasp.

Jason Jordan on Miz TV preview

It was announced oh Monday’s episode of RAW that Jason Jordan will be on Miz TV next week. Jordan defeated Curt Hawkins in his RAW debut on Monday. WWE posted the following preview for Jordan’s appearance on Miz TV next week:

Jason Jordan has done his fair share of interviews since Raw General Manager Kurt Angle revealed that the former SmackDown Tag Team Champion is his son, but now the “gold-blooded” Superstar is set to be grilled by The Miz on “Miz TV,” live in Angle’s home city of Pittsburgh.

What questions might The A-Lister have in store for Jordan? Will we learn of his true aspirations now that he has joined Team Red? One thing’s for sure, even though Jordan’s the son of the Raw GM, The Miz won’t be pulling any punches.

Curtis Axel on being in the main event of RAW

WWE Superstar Curtis Axel recently joined the Miztourage along with Bo Dallas and The Miz. The Miztourage lost in a Handicap match against Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins on Monday’s episode of RAW. Despite the loss, Axel boasted on Twitter about being in the main-event of the show. Axel hasn’t been featured on RAW at all until recently joining the Miztourage.

Kurt Angle On Austin Aries’ WWE Release & Jason Jordan, Baron Corbin Responds To Hater On Twitter

Kurt Angle on Austin Aries being released by WWE, how he was able to show emotion when Jason Jordan was revealed as his son on RAW

WWE Hall of Famer and RAW GM Kurt Angle did a Q&A on his Facebook page yesterday. Angle was asked how he felt about Austin Aries being released from WWE and here was his response:

“I’m sure that neither side was happy. Austin is a very, very talented wrestler. Love his style.”

Angle also responded to fan about how he was able to legitimately break down and cry when Jason Jordan was revealed as his “son” on RAW last week:

“I thought to myself what it would be like to see my son Kody for the first time ever, and didn’t know it for 20 years. I thought if it were real, how would I feel?”

Baron Corbin responds to criticism on Twitter

Baron Corbin responded to fan that suggested that he might cancel his WWE Network subscription because Baron Corbin won the MITB briefcase and Big Cass is getting a push on RAW. Here was his response:

Kodiak Berry now has 32 followers, so mission accomplished I guess. Corbin won the Money in the Bank briefcase last month and that guarantees him a shot at the WWE Championship whenever he wants it. Corbin has been in a feud with Shinsuke Nakamura recently on SmackDown and the two will face off this Sunday at WWE Battleground.

News on When Jason Jordan Found Out About Program With Kurt Angle

On last week’s episode of WWE Monday Night RAW, it was revealed that General Manager Kurt Angle’s dark secret that has been lingering over him for the past few weeks is the fact that he has a long-lost son that he didn’t know about from a relationship he had during his college days. It was revealed that his son was none other than former SmackDown Live Tag Team Champion Jason Jordan.

Per a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Jordan didn’t find out about his program with Angle until last week. When Jordan was introduced by Angle he was not only referred to as his son, but as the newest member of the RAW brand. This means that the team of American Alpha is now broken up, as Jordan’s partner, Chad Gable, is left behind on SmackDown Live to pursue a singles career.

The Observer also speculated that Jordan being Angle’s son is probably a rib on the former Olympic Gold Medalist’s history of dating African American women. About a decade ago Angle was a part of a storyline in which he stalked Booker T’s wife, Sharmell Sullivan, who he had an infatuation for.

Stone Cold Reacts to Jason Jordan – Kurt Angle Storyline

WWE Hall Of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin has released another episode of his podcast, The Steve Austin Show, in which he and Wade Keller of Pro Wrestling Torch discussed this past week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. Austin and Keller discussed the storyline between RAW General Manager Kurt Angle and now-former SmackDown Live brand member Jason Jordan, as it was revealed that Jordan is Angle’s long-lost son.

Here’s what Austin had to say about the program between Angle and Jordan:

“I like the fact that they are shooting a hell of a big angle. They got a lot of negative response but hey man it was a big-time response seemingly from everybody”

“Big time angle, lot of rub for the kid. He’s a good-looking guy, read about him when I was coming over here to talk to you on the podcast. Outstanding credentials as an amateur. Could possibly have a bright future ahead of him and if it is done off the back of this angle, more power to the kid, good luck to him”

“Is this leading to a betrayal of Kurt’s trust or somebody trying to set him up to oust him from his position? And will it result in Kurt Angle returning to the ring to wrestle at a big-time Pay-Per-View?”
