Jeff Hardy Pulled From Scheduled Appearance

Jeff Hardy will no longer be appearing at the annual Ringside Fest event in New York City. He was pulled from the scheduled appearance and replaced by Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss.

Jeff Hardy Arrested Again

The event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, November 3 at Carolines On Broadway in Times Square, New York City.

Although not confirmed, the belief is that the reason he was pulled from the appearance is due to his most recent DWI arrest in North Carolina back on October 3. He’s set to go to court on Thursday, November 7.

He’s been out of in-ring action after undergoing knee surgery earlier this year.

Beth And Reby Hardy Get In Twitter Spat Following Jeff’s Arrest

Following Jeff Hardy’s recent DWI arrest, it looks like things are getting a little bit heated between the Hardy brothers’ wives. Matt Hardy’s wife Reby, and Jeff Hardy’s wife Beth engaged in a war of words on Twitter over Jeff’s arrest.

On October 3, 2019, Hardy was arrested and charged with driving while impaired in Moore County, North Carolina.

Jeff’s brother Matt issued the following statement on social media about the situation:

“Since so many have asked me about my brother tonight-I love my brother & want him to be happy & healthy. I’ve expressed that to him as much as I can. Jeff has to make his decisions about his life.

I have to focus on my 2 boys & soon to arrive son. I can only control MY actions.”

Last night, Beth Hardy published two posts on Twitter, where she implied that she wasn’t happy with Matt’s statement.

Reby Hardy replied to Beth’s statements with the following rant on how Matt cares about Jeff even if Beth doesn’t believe it:

“No matter how much you dislike him, MATT IS STILL HIS BROTHER, here LONG before your ass & is family, not ‘family,’ PERIOD. Any statements from Matt about Jeff don’t need YOUR approval; it ain’t about YOU. I know it kills you to have anyone acknowledge that the facade of a perfect life you try to maintain is a f–king joke, but not everyone thinks the sun shines out of your asses, Beth, and not everyone wants to be complicit in your ‘protecting’ & enabling of a man who is well on his way to killing himself or someone else.

You’re an idiot if you really believe Jeff’s actions don’t affect Matt; they do & and he has every f–king right to speak his mind on HIS OWN BROTHER. Remember, he speaks from EXPERIENCE. Unlike you, we don’t run & hide from our issues & pretend nothing is or was ever wrong in this house. Matt was the absolute worst & I’ve seen how bad it can truly get. I know how this story ends if you don’t f–king wake up already. Worry about THAT instead of what is said to ‘f–king nobodies online,’ as you so eloquently describe their fans.

It’s not ‘talking s–t,’ it’s living in REALITY & holding people accountable when they need it. Maybe it’s time to put the wine emojis away, drop the Twitter stuntin’ & put that energy into keeping your man from driving f-ked up on the street I drive WITH MY CHILDREN before trying to come at a man for addressing his own blood/business partner. In short, & as always, MIND YOUR F–KING BUSINESS.”

Matt Hardy also weighed in on the matter and said that he doesn’t need permission to address his own brother.

Jeff was also arrested in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for being intoxicated in public back in July. Hardy was released later that day on a bond that was less than $200.

Hardy underwent knee surgery back in May with the expected timeline that he is going to be out of action for approximately 6-9 months following surgery to repair a damaged knee.

Jeff Hardy Arrested Again

Jeff Hardy has found himself in hot water again.

The longtime WWE star was was arrested on Thursday evening in Moore County, North Carolina, according to PWInsider. He was charged with Driving While Impaired.

The outlet was able to confirm with Moore County police that Hardy was released from custody at around 11:30pm ET on Thursday night.

At this time, the police department wouldn’t give additional details, citing the ongoing investigation. WWE has yet to issue a statement on the arrest.

This comes after the future WWE Hall of Famer was arrested in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for being intoxicated in public back in July. Hardy was released later that day on a bond that was less than $200.

Dustin Rhodes Compares AEW’s Darby Allin To Jeff Hardy

Hardy was passed out in a public stairwell and reeked of booze before cops arrested him, at the time of the previous arrest. According to the court documents, Hardy admitted to drinking vodka before cops found him passed out.

Hardy paid a $153 ticket for the incident, which meant that his case was considered closed.

Hardy underwent knee surgery back in May with the expected timeline that he is going to be out of action for approximately 6-9 months following surgery to repair a damaged knee.

Jeff’s brother Matt issued the following statement on social media about the situation:

Details On Jeff Hardy’s Expected Return &WWE Contract

The latest update on the status of Jeff Hardy under the WWE banner has surfaced.

Fightful.com gave some details on Hardy’s future with WWE and his expected return. According to the report, Hardy’s WWE contract has been extended for “at least” one more year due to his injury that has placed him on the sidelines.

Dustin Rhodes Compares AEW’s Darby Allin To Jeff Hardy

The internal injury list notes that Hardy is expected to return to in-ring action in November.

Although his contract expiration date is not exactly known, his brother, Matt, is under contract with the company through March of 2020.

Hardy underwent knee surgery back in May. At the time, the expected timeline that he is going to be out of action for approximately 6-9 months following surgery to repair a damaged knee.

Prior to the injury, the Hardy brothers defeated The Usos (Jey & Jimmy Uso) on the post-WrestleMania 35 episode of Smackdown Live in Brooklyn, New York at the Barclays Center to win the SmackDown Tag Team Titles.

It’s been reported that Hardy got injured while working a SmackDown live event in Madison, Wisconsin where The Hardyz teamed up to defeat The Usos.

Since then, his brother hasn’t been used on WWE television much.

Dustin Rhodes Compares AEW’s Darby Allin To Jeff Hardy

Dustin Rhodes recently signed a new multi-year contract with All Elite Wrestling (AEW). This new contract will see him assume more responsibilities with the promotion. Alongside being an in-ring competitor, he will now act as match producer and promo coach for AEW talent

In a recent interview with Sports Guys Talking Wrestling of The Horn in Austin, Texas, Rhodes made a favorable comparison between AEW wrestler Darby Allin and WWE’s Jeff Hardy. Reflecting on Allin’s recent matchup at All Out, Dustin highlighted one particular moment in the match that saw Darby leap off the top rope with only a barrel to cushion his fall into steel steps:

“He [Darby Allin] reminds me a lot of Jeff Hardy. If I could compare him to anybody, he’s not scared.” Dustin said. “He’s fearless, and I know adrenaline plays a big part into all this, but he didn’t even look back. It’s like he put the barrel there and he’s ready and he goes when he wants to go, and it’s like ‘I gotta look back.’”

Darby Allin competed in the Cracker Barrel Clash at All Out against Jimmy Havoc and ‘The Bad Boy’ Joey Janela. Jimmy Havoc would walk away the winner of their hardcore matchup.

Jeff Hardy Arrest Update

The latest news on Jeff Hardy’s recent arrest has surfaced online and it looks like the youngest Hardy brother won’t be facing any charges as a result of this incident.

News broke over the weekend that the future WWE Hall of Famer was arrested in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for being intoxicated in public. Hardy was released later that day on a bond that was less than $200.

In an update, TMZ reported on Tuesday that Hardy was passed out in a public stairwell and reeked of booze before cops arrested him. According to the court documents, Hardy admitted to drinking vodka before cops found him passed out.

Although he was facing a misdemeanor charge of public intoxication, that charge won’t be enforced by the police department as Hardy paid a $153 ticket for the incident, which means that his case is considered closed.

While he could fight the ticket in court later this month, it’s not likely as if he doesn’t fight the case then he wouldn’t be facing a conviction on his record.

WWE Releases Statement On Jeff Hardy’s Arrest

Hardy underwent knee surgery back in May with the expected timeline that he is going to be out of action for approximately 6-9 months following surgery to repair a damaged knee.

WWE Releases Statement On Jeff Hardy’s Arrest

We noted before how former World Champion Jeff Hardy was arrested this past Saturday Morning for being intoxicated in public and he was later released on a bond.

WWE has now reacted to the news and releasing a very short statement on the matter, the company has avoided any responsibility of the incident, stating that Hardy is responsible for his own actions:

“Jeff Hardy is responsible for his own personal actions.”

For those who don’t know, the former Champion was arrested in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina this past Saturday Morning for public intoxication and impairment.

A mugshot photo of the WWE Star was released later on but he didn’t have to stay behind the bars for long as Jeff was released on a bond for less than $200.

On the SmackDown episode after WrestleMania, the Hardy Boyz won the SmackDown Tag Team Championships, making them a 9 time tag champs in the process.

However, their reign didn’t last for very long and the duo had to relinquish the titles due to Jeff suffering a leg injury which required him a surgery.

Hardy is expected to stay out of action for 6 to 9 months so he is expected to return around the end of 2019 or at the start of 2020.

Jeff Hardy Arrested, Mugshot Photo Released

Jeff Hardy was arrested in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for being intoxicated in public over the weekend.

The news was made public once TMZ reported the details on the situation that took place on early Saturday morning after he was arrested and booked for public intoxication and impairment.

As of this writing, there’s no word yet on what led to his arrest. Hardy was released earlier today on a bond that was less than $200. Here is Hardy’s mugshot photo from TMZ:

Hardy underwent knee surgery back in May. This came after he suffered the injury while working a SmackDown live event in Madison, Wisconsin in early April where The Hardyz teamed up to defeat The Usos.

The brothers defeated The Usos (Jey & Jimmy Uso) on the post-WrestleMania 35 episode of SmackDown Live in Brooklyn, New York to win the SmackDown Tag Team Titles. This was a milestone win as they became the first team in history to hold the World Tag Team Titles, WCW Tag Team Titles, RAW Tag Team Titles and SmackDown Tag Team Titles.

At the time, Hardy noted that he is going to be out of action for approximately 6-9 months following surgery to repair a damaged knee.

Jeff Hardy Undergoes Knee Surgery

The Hardy Boyz were recently forced to vacate the Smackdown Tag Team Championships. Jeff Hardy is going to be out of action for approximately 6-9 months following surgery to repair a damaged knee.

Jeff Hardy posted the below video to Instagram following completion of the surgery:

Jeff Hardy Injury

“I’m going to be out for six to nine months,” Hardy said to WWE.com in regards to his injury. “I’m gonna have my whole right knee repaired, everything in there that’s bad. Hopefully, the first four months go extremely well. It’s a bummer, but I needed a new knee. There’s a lot of wear and tear on it.”

Hardy Boyz on Smackdown

The injury to Hardy comes at an inopportune time for both the brothers and the Smackdown tag team division. The blue brand lost the Usos, the Club, and the Bar recently in the Superstar Shakeup. New Day are also focussed on Kofi’s WWE Championship reign as well, leaving precious few challengers left for the now vacant titles.

WWE has yet to announce how they will determine new champions for the Smackdown tag titles.

The Hardyz defeated the Usos for the titles on the Smackdown after WrestleMania last month.

Jeff Hardy Will Be Out 6-9 Months Due To Knee Injury

Jeff Hardy confirmed the reports of his injury on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live and he and his brother Matt Hardy vacated the SmackDown Tag Team Championship due to his condition.

While Jeff didn’t provide a lot of details on his injury during the segment, he revealed an approximate time table for his return in the post-show interview.

Dasha Fuentes interviewed the Charismatic Enigma after this week’s episode of SmackDown Live went off air and she asked what’s next for him after vacating the tag titles.

Replying to her question, Hardy revealed that the surgery to repair the damage in his knee is scheduled to take place in a couple of days. While he didn’t provide any specific details on his condition, Hardy claimed that he is going to have his whole right knee repaired.

Continuing on the topic, the former World Champion revealed a time table for his return, saying that he hopes the first four months of his recovery will go well and that he will be out for six to nine months.

This timetable means that we can expect Jeff Hardy to stay out of action for the most part of the remaining year. He will most likely return some time during the WrestleMania season next year.

As we noted before, Jeff Hardy suffered an injury during the April 20th Live Event from Madison, Wisconsin. A more precise timetable for his return should be revealed after his surgery and we’ll keep you posted on his status.

Jeff Hardy To Undergo Surgery, Hardy Boyz Relinquish SmackDown Tag Team Titles

Jeff Hardy is set to undergo surgery and the SmackDown Tag Team Titles are now vacant.

During Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown Live, The Hardy Boyz did an in-ring segment where Jeff noted that he needs to have surgery and will be out of action for a long time. This was after he showed a video package of Lars Sullivan recently attacking him. As a result, Matt and Jeff are forced to relinquish the SmackDown Tag Team Titles.

This led to Sullivan coming out to the ring where he attacked Matt but R-Truth tried to run out to make the save but was laid out.

The brothers defeated The Usos (Jey & Jimmy Uso) on the post-WrestleMania 35 episode of Smackdown Live in Brooklyn, New York at the Barclays Center to win the SmackDown Tag Team Titles.

As a result, they became the first team in history to hold the World Tag Team Titles, WCW Tag Team Titles, RAW Tag Team Titles and SmackDown Tag Team Titles.

It’s been reported that Hardy got injured while working a SmackDown live event in Madison, Wisconsin over the weekend where The Hardyz teamed up to defeat The Usos.

Hardy appeared to have suffered some sort of leg injury and that looks to be the case as Jeff was on a crutch in this segment.

Notes On Jeff Hardy’s Injury

We noted before how one half of current SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Hardy Boyz, Jeff Hardy appeared to have suffered some sort of injury this past weekend.

At the time there weren’t many details available on his health, however, in the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer provided some update on the former US Champion’s condition.

According to the Newsletter, Hardy suffered an injury in his right knee during the April 20th Live Event from Madison, Wisconsin where the Hardy Boyz defeated the Usos.

He didn’t wrestle on the Live Event from Rochester, MN the next night and instead, he was on his brother Matt Hardy’s corner for a win over Jimmy Uso. Jeff did not get physical during the bout and fans noted that the former World Champion was limping pretty badly.

Hardy then missed Sunday’s WWE Live Event from Sioux City where Matt teamed with R Truth for a bout. It appears that he was pulled from the road afterward as he wasn’t backstage for this week’s episode of SmackDown Live either.

It’s worth mentioning here that Jeff Hardy has had a bad knee since his dirt bike accident in 2015. Jeff broke his leg in the accident and since then the former US Champion has continued working with a torn PCL.

At this point, the severity of Hardy’s injury is not known but there are people backstage who believe that the former TNA Star will require surgery.

If Hardy’s condition is really serious then the company would have to make a decision regarding the titles. If the Officials take the belts off them in coming weeks then it could be an indication of him undergoing a surgery in near future.

Jeff Hardy Dealing With Injury

One-half of the Smackdown Tag Team Champions is on the shelf with an injury at the moment. According to comments made recently on Wrestling Observer Radio, Jeff Hardy is currently dealing with an injury.

“Jeff Hardy is injured, I don’t know how severe,” said Dave Meltzer. “It was in the Saturday night show in Madison, Wisconsin.”

“Last night in Rochester, Minnesota he was in the corner of Matt. He was limping significantly so it’s probably some sort of leg injury.”

The Hardy Boyz defeated the Usos on the April 9th edition of Smackdown to win the brand’s tag team championships. They successfully defended the titles this weekend on the Madison, WI house show on April 20th. The following night with Jeff out of action Matt Hardy defeated Jey Uso in single’s action. Last night, Matt Hardy teamed with R-Truth and defeated Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows on a house show from Sioux City, Iowa.

The Hardy Boyz and Smackdown’s Tag Team Division

The Smackdown tag team division took a bit of a hit in the SuperStar shakeup. The Usos were drafted to RAW and with Cesaro now on Monday nights now as well, the Bar is no longer in the division either. Also, the members of New Day seem more interested in single’s gold nowadays. That is 3 championships teams which are no longer pursuing the Smackdown tag belts.

The Superstar shakeup left the Hardyz with just Nakamura & Rusev, Heavy Machinery, and Anderson & Gallows left as the only remaining active teams in the division.

Jeff Hardy “So Excited” For AEW Double or Nothing

WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champion Jeff Hardy recently did an interview with the Gorilla Position podcast during WrestleMania 35 Weekend in New York City where he spoke about a wide range of topics.

During the interview, Hardy was asked about the landscape of professional wrestling changing with the launch of AEW (All Elite Wrestling). This is where Hardy noted that he does think competition is good and excited to see how things turn out especially for Double or Nothing.

“For sure, yeah. I’m so excited,” Hardy said of AEW. “We love The Young Bucks, man, and to see that Jericho’s there. I mean, it’s so exciting to see what that becomes. I can’t wait to watch that first show and get a feel for what it looks like, how it’s gonna be, the longevity it might consist of. So, yeah, it’s always exciting for a new company to come through and see what happens.”

Hardy was then asked about a possible appearance in AEW in the future. This is where Hardy said that we’ll see but it won’t be no time soon as he’s in WWE for a while but moving forward anything’s possible.

Double or Nothing, which is the inaugural show promoted by AEW, will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 25, 2019.

Kenny Omega vs. Chris Jericho in a rematch from their contest at Wrestle Kingdom in 2018 and The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) vs. Lucha Bros. (Penta El Zero M and Rey Fénix) are being billed as the top two matches.

WWE Confirms Title Match For SmackDown Live

We have a title match official for tonight’s (Tues. April 9, 2019) episode of SmackDown Live. WWE has confirmed that tonight, SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions The Usos will be defending their titles against The Hardy Boyz (Matt and Jeff Hardy).

The Usos come off a successful title defense from Sunday’s WrestleMania 35 inside MetLife Stadium. The twins defeated The Bar, Ricochet & Aleister Black, and Shinsuke Nakamura & Rusev in a Fatal Four-Way bout for the SDL Tag Team Titles. Not to mention the pair just re-signed with WWE on a brand new five-year deal recently.

It should be noted that the SmackDown Live Tag Team Titles are the only tag titles The Hardys have yet to win. Matt and Jeff captured the RAW Tag Team Championships when they returned to WWE two years ago at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando.

The Hardy Boyz have been challenging The Usos via social media for the past several weeks. It looks like they’ll finally get their wish tonight on the first SmackDown Live after WrestleMania.

What do you think about The Usos vs. The Hardy Boyz for the titles tonight?

Jeff Hardy Names WWE Star Who He Thinks Is Better Version Of Himself

Jeff Hardy has achieved many goals throughout his career in the pro wrestling business. Whether that be personal accomplishments or titles, Hardy will go down as one of the most popular stars in the history of wrestling.

The former WWE Champion recently spoke with Gorilla Position to promote WrestleMania 35 where he talked about a wide range of topics. During the interview, he was asked about giving any advice to WWE stars about the high risks they take.

This is where he would talk about how he has a ton of respect for SmackDown star Mustafa Ali and how he thinks he’s the next version of himself but better.

“Not really any at all. I’m just like, ‘Keep doing what you do’ because watching him [Mustafa Ali] in 205 Live and just even recently, Daniel Bryan, [Mustafa Ali] did a 450 off the apron and I said, ‘Have you ever done that before?’ He said, ‘Yeah I did it one time in 205’. I said how do you do that? It was just so insane.”

“The stuff they do, and it’s like they keep raising the bar somehow, but yeah, he’s one of my favorite wrestlers right now.” Jeff said of Ali. “When people ask me, ‘Who’s the next kind of Jeff Hardy?’ He’s by far…. He’s the first Mustafa Ali, but he’s way better than I was at what he’s doing. I mean I never did anything that insane, and he’s incredible.”

Hardy is slated to compete in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 35.

The Usos & Hardy Boyz Continue To Tease WrestleMania Match

The Usos (Jey & Jimmy) and The Hardy Boyz (Jeff & Matt) continue to drop hints at a potential showdown at WrestleMania 35.

It all started when Jeff Hardy dropped a teaser about the match in a recent interview. Since then, both teams have hinted at the contest but it won’t take place at the next pay-per-view event, Fastlane, as The Usos already have a match booked for this show.

They’ll defend the SmackDown Tag Team Titles against Shane McMahon and The Miz. As of this writing, Jeff and Matt do not have a match booked.

The Usos started the tease back up to get fans talking again when they shared the following on their official Twitter account:

Matt Hardy would later respond once posting this:

WWE presents the WrestleMania 35 pay-per-view event on Sunday, April 7, 2019 in East Rutherford, NJ at MetLife Stadium that will air on the WWE Network. WWE will be announcing more matches for this show in the coming weeks. Here is the updated card:

Updated WWE WrestleMania 35 Card

  • WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins
  • WWE Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair
  • WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy vs. TBA

Jeff Hardy Names One WWE Star He Wants To Wrestle Before Retirement

Jeff Hardy has achieved many goals throughout his career in the pro wrestling business. Whether that be personal accomplishments or titles, Hardy will go down as one of the most popular stars in the history of wrestling.

However, before calling it a career and retiring as an active performer, he has one name in mind that he wants to share the ring with again. That star is current WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar.

He elaborated on his desire for this match to happen while doing a recent interview with The Five Count to promote a live event over the weekend.

“I’ve pretty much wrestled everybody I’ve ever dreamt of wrestling, but before I’m done, I’d love to have a one-on-one match with Brock Lesnar,” Hardy stated. He would add that having one more match against “The Beast” is something that he wants due to Lesnar being a manasic and a freak athlete. “I would love to get in there with one more time before I’m done.”

Hardy and Lesnar have shared the ring before as he faced Lesnar in 2002 when Lesnar debuted. With Hardy being on SmackDown Live while Lesnar is a part-timer on the flagship show of the company, Monday Night RAW, both stars would need to be on the same brand for this contest to happen.

Time will tell whether WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon grants his wish.

Jeff Hardy Teases WrestleMania 35 Match Against Top Tag Team

Former WWE Champion Jeff Hardy is in WrestleMania mode as he recently teased a match that could take place at the biggest event of the year for the company. It turns out that this match that he named has been rumored over the last week of taking place.

While doing a recent interview with The Five Count to promote a live event over the weekend, he talked about reuniting with his brother Matt on last week’s episode of SmackDown Live where they beat former SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Bar (Sheamus & Cesaro).

This is where he dropped a hint at feeling like he would team up with Matt to challenge The Usos for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles.

“I got a really strong feeling about the Hardy Boyz reuniting, us against The Usos at ‘Mania. I’m feeling that pretty big, we’ll see.”

WWE presents the WrestleMania 35 pay-per-view event on Sunday, April 7, 2019 in East Rutherford, NJ at MetLife Stadium that will air on the WWE Network.

Once the company gets done with Sunday’s Fastlane event, WWE will be announcing more matches for this show in the coming weeks.

What are your thoughts on this match being added to the card? Sound off in the comment section.

Matt & Jeff Hardy Staying With WWE For Another Year

We had noted before how Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy’s WWE contracts were expected to expire soon and Matt himself had confirmed the same recently.

Though they made their return to WWE TV this week and latest update suggests that both the brothers will be staying with the company for at least one more year.

According to PWinsider, Hardys’ contract had an option to extend the deal for a year with a significant pay raise and WWE chose to invoke this clause.

This means that we can expect both Matt and Jeff to stay with the company for the foreseeable future and with their return, it wouldn’t be a surprise if they are included in a significant storyline in coming weeks.

On a related note, Matt returned on TV as himself while abandoning the ‘Woken’ Matt Hardy gimmick which he was using before his hiatus.

In the interview after the show as seen below, the former Champion mentioned that he has learned to control the ‘woken wonder’ that’s inside him:

This likely means that the company is not planning to use the gimmick anytime soon and we can expect Matt to be himself for his latest run as one half of the Hardy Boyz.

Though with the legal dispute over the gimmick being settled, WWE can bring the character back anytime they want. So it would be interesting to see when the Woken Matt Hardy reappears on their programming.

WWE Wants To Bring More Focus To Tag Team Wrestling

If you’re upset with the current landscape of WWE’s tag team division, we have some good news to pass along. Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that WWE officials are planning on reviving tag team wrestling. Several WWE tag teams have reportedly been told they’ll be receiving big pushes soon. This is likely a knee-jerk reaction to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), who is planning to make tag team wrestling a focal point of their product.

It was also noted that The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder) have been told they’re to be the face of the division. Dawson and Wilder recently asked for their WWE release following a match on Monday Night RAW. However, WWE doesn’t plan on granting any releases anytime soon. Especially with AEW now being an option for talents to go to. On RAW this week, WWE teased a reunion between Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder. Perhaps an Edge Head reunion will be part of WWE’s new plans for the division.

RAW’s division is currently short a team with The Authors Of Pain’s Akam out-of-action for several months with a leg injury. However, it’s possible WWE could reunite The Hardy Boyz. Matt and Jeff’s contracts with WWE are to expire around WrestleMania 35 season. They signed with WWE in 2017 shortly before WrestleMania 33. But there’s a third-year option in the new deal, which WWE is expected to pick up.

If they decide to do so, there will be a big pay raise involved for the former Tag Team Champions. It will be interesting to see how WWE’s tag team division progresses in the coming months.

Do you think WWE will vamp up its tag team division in the near future?

Jeff Hardy Comments On Matt Hardy’s Retirement

Despite heavy speculation that he is retired, Matt Hardy has recently been hinting at a potential in-ring return. He has previously stated that, despite not having a timetable, a comeback should be “sooner than later.”

Now his brother, Jeff Hardy, has chimed in on the likelihood of his brother returning to competition.

Speaking with WrestlingNews.co, Jeff admitted, “I don’t think he’s really retired.”

When pressed a little further on the subject, he responded: “No, I don’t think that [he’s retired].”

The conversation then turned towards Jeff, where he revealed the worst injury he’s ever suffered. Hardy confessed that the worst injury, by far, was when he had to undergo rotator cuff surgery. He still undergoes physical therapy to ensure he doesn’t cause further injury.

A Surprise Return

Matt and Jeff Hardy returned almost two years ago, making a surprise comeback during WrestleMania 33. They would be inserted into a Fatal-4-Way tag team matchup, eventually coming out the new Raw Tag Team champions.

With that in mind, WWE’s current contracts with the Hardy Boyz is set to expire in a few months around WrestleMania.

With both brothers seemingly wanting to continue their careers, coupled with the advent of new promotions like All Elite Wrestling, could there be a bidding war for Matt and Jeff on the horizon? The two have also wrestled for Ring Of Honor, and with ROH now making big money deals, could they be another promotion interested when their contracts expire?

WWE Confirms 3 New Royal Rumble Entrants

Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose are both official for the Rumble. WWE announced the former Absolution members as entrants recently on Twitter:

Jeff Hardy Segment For Smackdown Announced

Jeff Hardy’s segment for this coming’s Smackdown has been announced. Last week on Smackdown, Samoa Joe mocked Hardy’s history of substance abuse issues by creating a fake “public service announcement” about the dangers of drinking.

WWE recently revealed Hardy will be given time on Smackdown to address Joe’s public service announcement from last week.

“Jeff Hardy will address Samoa Joe’s public service announcement this Tuesday night on the blue brand,” a WWE press release reads. This likely means Hardy will have an in-ring promo segment on Tuesday night.

Jeff Hardy Vs Samoa Joe

Hardy and Samoa Joe have met one-on-one just twice in WWE, though they’ve wrestled more frequently in other promotions. They are 1-1 in their WWE matches. In TNA Wrestling, Hardy is 4-1 against Joe in single’s matches. In multi-person matches in TNA, they met another 6x. Hardy won just one of those matches and the rest were one by other competitors.

Smackdown This Week

Smackdown will take place from the T-Mobile Centre in Las Vegas Tuesday night. In addition to Jeff Hardy and Samoa Joe’s segment, a WrestleMania rematch has also been booked. Asuka will take on Charlotte Flair just 5 days before they will each try to win the Smackdown Women’s Championship from Becky Lynch at TLC.
