Ava Raine debuted in Joe Gacy’s Schism faction on a recent episode of NXT.
Ava stated that Schism is her family and posed with the group at the end of her debut. Raine cut a promo a WWE Live Event over the summer. She referred to herself as “The Final Girl” during the promo.
The 21-year-old began training at the WWE Performance Center in 2020. She is the daughter of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, the grandaughter of Rocky Johnson, and great granddaughter of Peter Maivia.
TMZ Sports recently caught up with The Bloodline’s Jimmy Uso and asked him about Ava Raine’s debut in NXT. Jimmy said that he is ready to see her “pop off and represent The Bloodline”.
Shout out to her, you now what I’m saying. Anyway the family can get it I’m all for it. I’m ready to see what she do. I’m ready for her to pop off and represent The Bloodline.
Jimmy added that The Bloodline always looks out for each other and the whole family is behind her.
We all family, bro. We all look out for (each other). She’s got the whole squad on her side, the whole family bro. Her dad (The Rock), us, the cousins, she can reach out and we got it.
He said that the door is always open in The Bloodline for Ava Raine if she wants to join the group down the line and said the sky is the limit for her career.
It’s always an open door and we’ll keep it at that. The sky is the limit. You’ve got to put your work in here.
I’m sure she’s got the workhorse in her like we all do.
It runs deep in the blood and I’m excited for her future. I can’t wait to see where this takes her.
WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry has said he wouldn’t have tolerated his wife being called “unprofessional” on live TV.
During this week’s Raw, Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out of the show, forcing WWE to scrap plans for a six-pack challenge main event.
On TV, Corey Graves said that the pair had acted “unprofessionally” ahead of the main event singles match between Becky Lynch and Asuka.
Speaking on the latest edition of Busted Open Radio, Henry discussed the call by Graves and though he didn’t call-out Uso by name, said that Naomi’s husband should’ve spoken in her defense.
“My issue was not even with the walkout, my issue was not even with the disagreement, or the disclaimer. My issue was with people on the show saying that was unprofessional because I’m going to tell you right now, if that was my wife and I’m working on that show, I’m walking down to the announce table and I’m going to say, ‘Hey, you stay professional. Do your job and then I won’t have to walk down here to the ring to tell you to not do that again.'”
On SmackDown, it was announced that Banks and Naomi had been suspended indefinitely and stripped of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.
WWE is reportedly still planning on having a title unification match for the Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Championships but does not plan on unifying the titles.
At WrestleMania Backlash, SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos and Roman Reigns defeated Raw Tag Team Champions RK-Bro and Drew McIntyre in what was originally announced to be a tag title unification match.
It was later reported that WWE had always planned for a six-man tag at the Premium Live Event.
On this week’s Raw, Randy Orton and Riddle said they will still unify the titles and will appear on this Friday’s SmackDown.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said WWE is building to a title unification match, but this will not actually see one team hold both titles (via WrestleTalk).
“They are going to do the match, but as of right now, and I was also told this can change, but, they are not planning on actually unifying the titles.”
Dave Meltzer
Meltzer speculated that WWE could use a DQ finish to avoid unifying the titles in a title unification match.
WWE’s Empty Promises
Brock Lesnar had been advertised for WrestleMania Backlash but never booked for the show, in one of the growing number of broken promises by the company.
Should WWE go through with this plan, not unifying the titles would be the latest in a string of empty promises by the promotion.
Before WrestleMania Backlash, it had been announced that the titles would be unified despite WWE never having any plans to do that at the time.
WrestleMania Backlash had featured promotional material of Brock Lesnar, who not only did not appear at last Sunday’s event but had never been booked for the show.
During this same edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer stated that while Roman Reigns has been confirmed for upcoming Premium Live Events including Money in the Bank, Summerslam, and Clash in the Castle, there’s no guarantee he’ll appear.
Video of Jimmy Uso’s 2021 DUI arrest has surfaced.
Back in July of last year, Jimmy was arrested in Pensacola, FL for driving under the influence. He posted $500 bond the following morning. The arrest brought much scrutiny to Jimmy as he’s had a history of DUI arrests.
A police report from officer William Roper was released detailing the reason for the arrest of Jimmy Uso.
“During the HGN Fatu was unable to keep his head still, and I observed multiple signs of nystagmus. Fatu had difficulty maintaining balance, and had difficulty in performing the Walk and Turn. During the one-legged stand, Fatu was unable to maintain balance, and placed his foot down multiple times.
“Due to the above circumstances I placed Fatu under arrest for DUI.”
Footage Of Jimmy Uso DUI Arrest
TMZ Sports has released video of the arrest and it’s clear that Jimmy Uso was none too pleased with a remark made by an officer. Jimmy lost his cool when the cop referred to a past incident on the road.
TMZ reports that Jimmy reached a deal with prosecutors earlier this month. As part of the agreement, Jimmy underwent and completed courses “related to the incident.”
A massive six-man tag team match has been announced for the Sept. 20 edition of WWE Monday Night Raw.
On the Sept. 17 episode of SmackDown, newly-minted WWE Champion Big E made a surprise appearance. He and Finn Balor defeated WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos. Backstage after the match, The Usos attacked Big E.
As a result of what transpired on SmackDown, Big E will team with his New Day brethren Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods to take on WWE Universal Champion Reigns and The Usos. The official Twitter account of WWE made the announcement.
Roman Reigns has spoken out on Jimmy Uso’s history with DUI arrests.
Jimmy is currently involved in the biggest storyline of his pro wrestling career. He has aligned himself with his cousin, Reigns, who is known as “The Head of the Table” on SmackDown. Despite the opportunity, Jimmy once again found himself in legal trouble.
On July 5, Jimmy was arrested in Pensacola, Florida. Jimmy had been speeding and police administered a breathalyzer. Jimmy was well above Florida’s legal drinking limit, which led to his arrest. It wasn’t the first time Jimmy was busted for DUI as he was caught in 2011 and 2019. There was also an incident in 2019 where he was arrested in Detroit for disorderly conduct and obstruction of justice.
During an interview with the New York Post, Reigns discussed Jimmy’s history of legal issues.
“[I don’t] condone that kind of behavior or decision-making. [It’s] not a great light to be shining [on WWE].
“We’re all human, we’re all cynics, we all make mistakes. Instead of what some people might feel you should give up on somebody or maybe turn your back on that type of behavior, that’s one way to do it. But I don’t think that’s the way to push through and gain experience or make progressive movements of becoming a better man or a better human. So for me, it was diving into it with great attention, great love and very thorough communication to make sure my family is continually bettering themselves and putting themselves in a position to make better decisions.”
Jimmy is currently one-half of the SmackDown Tag Team Champions along with his brother, Jey. The two very well could be involved in the main event of SummerSlam, which will feature a Universal Title match between Reigns and John Cena.
Jimmy Uso has been arrested and charged with driving under the influence again. According to a report from TMZ, he was pulled over by police in Pensacola, Florida at around 10:35 PM Monday evening. He was spotted running a red light and going 15 mph over the speed limit.
Upon smelling alcohol, Jimmy was asked to exit the vehicle. He then failed field sobriety tests and was subsequently arrested. Jimmy is said to have told the officers he consumed “multiple beers” before driving that night.
Breathalyzer tests came back with results of .202 and .205. The legal limit in Florida is .08. His bond was set at $500 but according to TMZ, Jimmy is still behind bars as of this morning. He had just returned to WWE back in May and has been a major part of Smackdown storylines since.
WWE's Jimmy Uso Arrested For DUI Again, Cops Say Wrestler Blew A .205https://t.co/jNcxTTdMvw
Real name Jonathan Solofa Fatu, he was arrested and charged for DUI in 2011. He was given probation and then arrested for violating the probation by driving with a suspended license in 2013.
Jimmy Uso was arrested for DUI in February of 2019 stemming from an incident in Detroit. He pleaded no-contest to charges of interfering with a government employee. He was then arrested again for DUI on July 25th, 2019 again in Pensacola Florida. He was later found not guilty on those charges after a trial that December.
You can see footage from one of Jimmy Uso’s 2019 DUI arrests here:
It happened in the opening segment of the Throwback edition of the show on FOX as WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns announced the return of Jimmy Uso, who came out to celebrate with Reigns, Jey Uso and Paul Heyman.
Reigns cut a promo about how after he beat Daniel Bryan on last week’s episode of SmackDown, which had the stipulation that if Bryan lost then he would be banished from SmackDown, he introduced Jimmy.
Of course, in all reality, Bryan’s contract with WWE expired and he is currently a free agent. Reigns said Bryan wouldn’t acknowledge him, so they replaced him with someone who certainly will and that’s when Jimmy walked out.
The former WWE Tag Team Champion suffered a torn ACL while working a Triple Threat Ladder match for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Titles during Night 1 of WrestleMania 36.
This is where he wrestled Kofi Kingston and John Morrison. At the time of his undergoing surgery, the belief was that he would be on the shelf for 6-9 months.
In February, Jimmy was back training at the WWE Performance Center. He did make a few appearances on WWE TV last year when Jey was feuding with Reigns, but he wasn’t cleared at the time.
Jimmy Uso hasn’t been seen competing in the ring since his last match back at WrestleMania 36 where he participated in the Triple Threat Ladder match for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship. During that match, he suffered a serious knee injury which put him on the shelf for months. The injured star revealed in later interviews that he suffered the injury early in the bout and tore his ACL while jumping off a ladder during the opening minutes of the match.
Unable to compete, The Usos as a tag team are on hiatus with brother Jey Uso having to perform as a singles competitor.
This would lead to Jey Uso to enter into the title scene and earn the first singles championship opportunity of his career, challenging Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at Clash of Champions. Jey was given another shot at the title at Hell in a Cell in an I Quit match, where Reigns attacked Jimmy Uso to make his brother surrender.
However, it looks like The Usos could be back together in the ring soon as Jey Uso took to Instagram on Monday night to share videos of Jimmy Uso training at the WWE Performance Center. While Jimmy was wearing a knee brace, he appeared pretty agile. You can check out the video below:
Jimmy Uso was expected to make a return in late 2020 after undergoing reconstructive surgery, however it was revealed in a later update that he is slotted to make a return in January/February of this year.
With Jimmy Uso being gone from performing in the ring, his brother Jey Uso had to transition as a singles wrestler. Jey said he was happy with the shift but would be ready to go back to the tag-team scene when his brother is back.
“It’s a dope transition, I think it’s a good transition to make at this point cause I’ll always revert back to the tag-team game, that’s my ish right there. I do like this singles competition, it’s really making me find out something about myself, uce, that I didn’t know that I could do.”
While his brother Jey Uso is all set to challenge for the Universal Championship at the Clash Of Champions PPV, Jimmy Uso is currently out of action with an injury.
Though the good news for the former champion is that the latest reports suggest that his recovery is going well and he is on track to return to the ring early next year.
Alex McCarthy of TalkSport recently spoke to Jey Uso ahead of his big match on Sunday and the SmackDown star confirmed that his brother is on course to return to action in early 2021.
The wrestling journalist provided the update via a tweet and he wrote “Jimmy Uso is on course to return to action from his knee injury in January/February 2021, Jey Uso told me.”
Jimmy Uso is on course to return to action from his knee injury in January/February 2021, Jey Uso told me.
For those who don’t know, Jimmy Uso suffered a leg injury during the triple threat ladder match for the SmackDown tag team championship at WrestleMania 36.
The injured star revealed in later interviews that he suffered the injury early in the bout and he apparently tore his ACL while jumping off a ladder during the opening minutes of the match.
Now it would be interesting to see what the company is planning for his return and if we can see Jimmy being a surprise entrance in the Royal Rumble next year.
Jimmy Uso has suffered a knee injury and will be out of action for 6-9 months. According to a report from Ringside News, Uso needs surgery after suffering an injury during the ladder match at WrestleMania 36. The exact nature of Uso’s knee injury or the type of surgery he’ll need is currently unknown.
John Morrison won a 3-way ladder match against Kofi Kingston and Jimmy Uso at WrestleMania. Big E would later win the titles for New Day in a triple threat match against Jey Uso and the Miz on Smackdown.
WWE recently announced that the New Day vs Forgotten Sons vs Lucha House Party vs Miz & Morrison will compete for the Smackdown tag team titles at Money in the Bank.
The Usos in WWE
Jimmy & Jay Uso are one of the most decorated tag-teams in WWE history. The 34-year-old brothers debuted on the WWE main roster in 2010. During that time, they’ve won tag-team gold in the promotion times.
The Usos have held the Smackdown tag titles 4x for 380 days spent with the belts. They rank 1st in total days spent with the Smackdown titles and second in reigns. The New Day have held the belts 6x for a combined 300 days spent as champions.
Jimmy Uso was arrested for a DUI offense this summer. It is the 3rd time he has been arrested for such an offense. The Usos have only wrestled one match since Uso’s latest arrest, a loss in a tag team title triple threat match on RAW the week following. The Usos have not been apart of WWE programming since.
TMZ recently obtained footage of Uso’s latest arrest which includes footage of his car speeding and swerving.
The full video from TMZ can be viewed in the player below:
After being pulled over, the officer informs Uso he was speeding in a residential area and was also “all over the road.” When asked if there was a reason for his speeding Uso simply said he was being stupid. Uso admitted to drinking a glass of wine with dinner 2-hours before getting behind the wheel and that he felt he was safe to drive before being put through roadside sobriety tests. Footage of him going through the sobriety tests can’t really be seen in the video, however.
The Usos have been pulled from all SummerSlam related events in Toronto this weekend. According to a report from PW Insider, Jimmy Uso’s July 25th DUI arrest has prevented him from being able to enter Canada. The Usos had been scheduled to take part in a SummerSlam signing on Saturday but had not been scheduled in a match.
The Usos have only performed in one match since Jimmy’s latest arrest. That was on the July 29th RAW in a triple threat tag match for the RAW tag team championships won by Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows. Since that match the Usos have not wrestled on live events or television.
The Usos Pulled From SummerSlam Related Events
SummerSlam takes place Sunday night live from Toronto on the WWE Network. The currently scheduled lineup is below:
RAW Women’s Championship Becky Lynch (c) vs Natalya
Universal Championship Brock Lesnar (c) vs Seth Rollins
Smackdown Women’s Championship Bayley (c) vs Ember Moon
WWE Championship Kofi Kingston (c) vs Randy Orton
United States Championship AJ Styles (c) vs Ricochet
WWE Cruiserweight Championship Drew Gulak (c) vs Oney Lorcan
Trish Stratus vs Charlotte Flair
Finn Balor vs Bray Wyatt’s “Fiend”
Kevin Owens vs Shane McMahon (If Owens loses, he’ll quit WWE)
As of this writing, Jimmy Uso is behind bars after being arrested early Thursday morning for DUI in Pensacola, Florida. Real name Jonathan Fatu, Uso’s history with DUIs was referenced this week on the RAW Reunion show during a rap battle session with John Cena.
This is Jimmy Uso’s 3rd arrest for DUI, his other two having been in 2011 and 2013.
Law enforcement has stated that Uso was swerving his vehicle and smelt of alcohol when he was pulled over. He is alleged to have refused a DUI test.
Uso was also involved in a bizarre incident with police back in February where he was arrested for disorderly conduct. Uso is alleged to have “squared up” in a fighting stance at the police officer during this incident. Police bodycam footage failed to show Uso doing much of anything, however, and a plea deal was ultimately reached. It is believed Uso paid about a $450 fine for that incident.
WWE Response To DUIs
WWE typically does not take action when a roster member is arrested for DUI. Jeff Hardy, Jimmy Uso, Wesley Blake, Jack Swagger, and others have all received DUIs while members of the WWE roster. None of the above-mentioned names received any type of punishment from the company.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=timC22aBQtA
In 2006, however, Rob Van Dam and Sabu were arrested on drug charges following being pulled over. RVD was found to have 18 grams of marijuana on him at the time. He was suspended by WWE for 30 days over the incident. Van Dam was not charged with DUI, however.
With this being Uso’s 3rd DUI offense while a member of the WWE roster, however, it’s not clear if that changes anything regarding WWE’s stance on DUIs.
Current one-half of the SmackDown Tag Team Champion Jimmy Uso was involved in an incident with the police in Detroit back in February. When Jimmy’s wife Naomi was pulled over for driving the wrong way on a one-way street, Jimmy took his shirt off and tried to square off with the cops, body cam footage showed.
Jimmy was arrested with disorderly conduct and obstruction of justice. Despite this, it looks like Jimmy will not be having any problems with the case anymore.
According to TMZ, Jimmy and his attorney, John Freeman have reached a deal with prosecutors for Jimmy to plead no contest to the charge of interfering with a government employee. In exchange, Jimmy had to pay $450 in fines.
During the time of the incident, Naomi took to Twitter and lashed out at fans, defending her husband’s actions, claiming, “as for my husband he’s more of a man you’ll ever be & I’ll leave it at that (sic)”
I was NOT ticketed, I was NOT drinking, leaving the lot I was unaware that it exits to a 1 way street (it was dark snow no signs no traffic I was pulled immediately made a mistake and I own it) as for my husband he’s more of a man you’ll ever be & I’ll leave it at that #blockedhttps://t.co/ymRRanIQeH
WWE didn’t punish Jimmy, but they released a statement on the incident, which read, “Jonathan Fatu is responsible for his own personal actions.”
The Usos actually went on to become tag team champions just a few days later at the Elimination Chamber event. They were also able to retain the titles at Fastlane in early March. The two were seen on this week’s episode of SmackDown where they forfeited their gauntlet match against Big E and Xavier Woods in support of Kofi Kingston’s WWE Championship pursuit. As of now, a match for the SD Tag Titles isn’t confirmed for WrestleMania.
Last week, it was reported that Jimmy Uso was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. TMZ reported that Naomi was driving with Jimmy Uso in the passenger seat when they were pulled over for going the wrong way on a one-way street. Jimmy is then said to have exited the vehicle and “squared up” as if he was going to fight the officer, leading to his arrest.
Naomi commented on the recent incident on Twitter:
I was NOT ticketed, I was NOT drinking, leaving the lot I was unaware that it exits to a 1 way street (it was dark snow no signs no traffic I was pulled immediately made a mistake and I own it) as for my husband he’s more of a man you’ll ever be & I’ll leave it at that #blockedhttps://t.co/ymRRanIQeH
WWE issued the following statement to media following Jimmy Uso’s arrest: “Jonathan Fatu is responsible for his own actions.”
Naomi Featured In Kontrol Magazine
Naomi was recently featured in Kontrol Magazine. During the interview, she spoke on how having her personal life broadcast on Total Divas can be difficult.
“It is very difficult at times, but I’m happy we get to share our story and literally watch ourselves grow and learn together,” she said. “I like to think that our children and grandchildren years from now will watch us back, be proud and get a kick out of it (She Laughs)”.
Naomi’s latest storyline on Smackdown has involved her teaming with Carmella. The pair were the first eliminated from the Elimination Chamber match on Sunday, however. Mandy Rose had been antagonizing Naomi as of late by making overtures to Jimmy Uso.
The Usos just won the Smackdown tag-team titles from the Miz and Shane McMahon at Elimination Chamber. As a result of the events from Smackdown this week, the Usos will again face Miz and McMahon on March 10th at Fastlane.
Jimmy Uso was arrested recently in Detroit for disorderly conduct and obstruction. According to a report from TMZ, WWE Superstar and Jimmy’s wife, Naomi, was driving the wrong way on a one-way street and was pulled over in Detroit when an altercation with police ensued.
Police said the car “reeked of booze” so they asked Naomi out of the car. Jimmy allegedly got out of the vehicle as well after being asked to stay inside by police. He is then said to have taken off his jacket and shirt before “squaring up” as if he wanted to fight the officer.
The officer then took out his taser and Jimmy is said to have begun complying with their commands.
Jimmy was handcuffed, taken to jail, and would later post bond. The Usos are scheduled to take on the Miz and Shane McMahon for the Smackdown tag-team championships Sunday at Elimination Chamber.
WWE issued a brief statement regarding Jimmy Uso’s arrest, “Jonathan Fatu is responsible for his own personal actions.”
Jimmy & Jey Uso
Both Jimmy & Jey Uso have picked up DUIs in the past. Jimmy Uso has been charged with DUIs in 2011 and again in 2013. He was not said to be driving in the case of his latest arrest, however.
Jey Uso was charged with DWI in Texas following a WWE live event in January last year as well.
– This past Tuesday on SmackDown LIVE, The Bar beat Gallows, Anderson and The Colons in a Triple Threat Match to move one step closer to a SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match against The New Day at the WWE Hell in a Cell pay-per-view event on September 16.
WWE.com has announced that Sheamus and Cesaro’s opponents will be determined in a Triple Threat Match on next week’s episode of SmackDown LIVE. The teams that will be facing off are The Usos, SAnitY and the tandem of Rusev and Aiden English.
– Tino Sabbatelli, who is currently sidelined after tearing his pectoral muscle during a match in April, revealed on his Instagram Story earlier this week that he underwent another procedure.
There’s no word on how long the NXT star will be out of action, but this type of injury generally requires a six to nine month recuperation period following the initial surgery.
On another note, Sabbatelli turned 35 years old on August 24.
One-half of the SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions, The Usos, Jimmy Uso recently did an interview with The Mirror. Below are some of the highlights:
Lots has been said about the reinvention of the Usos, a transformation that began in late 2016. It feels like you’ve perfected the entire package – your look, theme music, ring work and promos. It’s all come together. How much input do you have in that process, like adopting new ring gear or selecting a new entrance song?
“That’s all us. I mean it, when you see this whole reinvention, that is every bit of me and my brother. It’s so funny because the ring work has never changed. That’s always been there. Our gear, literally, we wear that outside of the ring. That’s how I dress. Even with the baseball cap, I’m always having a cap on. And I just felt it was me to wear a cap out there. It’s little stuff like that to make us, us. That’s what that was. That’s how people found out we were real and they followed that and they could adapt to that. Everything is us, from the gear to the black and white, baseball caps to the shoes – I wore those same shoes I do when I’m wrestling – I wore them at high school. I wore those same shoes in high school. So when I’m telling you that’s the Usos, that’s the Usos.
“As far as our ring music, we was dying to go and hop on that track. We heard John Cena on his entrance music, I remember The Rock being on his entrance music, I just thought that was really cool and added a whole lot more personality to them, personally. So what you see out there, that’s 100% The Usos.”
Your feud with the New Day last year was fantastic. At Fastlane we get to see you go at it again, in what could perhaps become a triple threat, with Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin. What do you think Gable and Benjamin bring to the table and how excited are you to get to renew this feud with The New Day and freshen it up ahead of WrestleMania?
“I don’t know man, to me I feel like that’s something you got to ask Shelton and Gable. Ha ha. I know what we’re bringing to the table. These other tag teams have got to bring everything they’ve got to table to get on our level. The New Day, that feud right there – classic. Classic man. There was a rap battle in there and I ain’t never seen a rap battle done that way in the WWE. Yeah I’ve seen John Cena spit a couple of freestyles to Kurt Angle and stuff like that, you remember when he was the Doctor Of Thuganomics? But I ain’t never seen a rap battle like that though. I just thought that was fun man.
“Shelton and Gable, they are a real technical tag team, but they are new together so they still got a whole lot to learn about each other. But Gable is lucky he has Shelton in his corner, because Shelton was a mentor of mine before I started – he trained me at Booker T’s school [in Houston, Texas]. Gable is in good hands, I can vouch for that. I’m actually anxious to see what happens to Shelton and Gable man because that tag team right there, is the tag team to look out for, definitely.”

– One-half of the SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions Jimmy Uso recently did an interview with Sportskeeda. Jimmy was asked about a potential singles career down the road and was also asked if he’d be open to having a match with his brother, Jey, at WrestleMania. Here’s what he had to say:
“I don’t know man, never really thought about it,” Uso said. “As far as going singles, it really hasn’t crossed my mind, because we have so much more left to do in the tag division. The Usos have so much more to give. People haven’t seen all of us. … Another dream match would be me vs. my brother at WrestleMania.
“I grew up watching Bret vs Owen in a cage match, and they beat the living hell out of each other. I thought it was really cool, what they did. And they’ve been doing that all their lives. That’s the same way I see us whenever we get the chance for that to happen. But as far as a singles run right now, we’re just concentrating on the tag division.”
– Last night former WWE Superstar Batista hung out with Chris Jericho, Christian, Natalya, Tyson Kidd, and Baron Corbin at an “80s Night” Walk To Cure Diabetes event. You can check out some photos here:
As always, Austin Creed has been working on his YouTube channel: UpUpDownDown. The past week has seen 2 major features uploaded for videogame fans to enjoy. The first is Round 2 of the Madden 18 tournament which sees RAW’s Jason Jordan take on TJ Perkins.
Jordan previously shocked the tournament in one of the most intense, yet hilarious matches as he beat 3 time champion: Seth Rollins.
TJP destroyed the inexperienced Luke Gallows in his last match-up, and demonstrated solid potential as he takes on Jason Jordan: The Champion Slayer. Check out the game below:
However, the most entertaining video of the week on UpUpDownDown featured Austin Creed himself, and Jimmy Uso in a UFC 2 Championship Title match. Although there is no current tournament, Creed has used a similar system to any other championship title in UFC or WWE by hosting championship matches with worthy opponents at any time.
Not only was it an excellent display of skill and talent, there were multiple cameos and moments outside the game which make this a must see. Check out the title match below, as well as a list of highlights.
5 Highlights From Austin Creed vs Jimmy Uso:
This is taking place in a University Volley Ball Court – WHAT!? That’s dedication.
Kevin Owens makes an appearance, wearing his Face of America brand t-shirt; he then partially remains in character as he removes the American flag background and stands in it’s place. Everyone else just accepts this and says “Oh, yeah, it’s his thing”.
They’re told to be quiet, and have to continue the game while trying to whisper – which doesn’t go well as Kofi Kingston, Big E, and Jey Uso are there to provide support and commentary.
Sami Zayn appears, topless, and impress Big E with his New Day like dance moves. If you watch anything from this video, skip to 6:49 just for this!
The in-game fight is ridiculously entertaining and close (without giving spoilers away).
The penultimate match in Round 1 of the 2017 NFL Madden 18 Tournament included a new face to UpUpDownDown, and Seth Rollins should be worried.
Jimmy Uso reached the quarter final stage last year against AJ Styles which resulted in an entertaining match. The highlights of that game are:
The amount of censorship required in the final minutes to keep Jimmy Uso family friendly.
AJ Styles’ delight in securing outrageous interceptions.
The Prince of Phenomenal made his way into the SmackDown Live semi finals, to face Jack Swagger, with a 24-17 win over UCE.
Unfortunately for UCE, he didn’t have much luck in this year’s tournament either as he came up against a surprising adversary. Out of all the superstars, Luke Harper does not spring to mind as someone who would be video game savvy, yet he proved any doubters wrong.
While his in-ring persona suggests that he may not be familiar with electricity, let alone Xbox One or PS4, he is more than capable of taking the challenge to Seth Rollins in the 2017 tournament. A mixture of good football knowledge and understanding of how to convert that knowledge onto the virtual pitch is exactly what made Seth Rollins The Champ. However, Luke Harper has proven that he has all those skills too.
What’s even better about this video is the amount of fun that each superstar had; it doesn’t even seem like Harper has missed a beat or bean away at all from SmackDown Live.
Highlight of the match:
Jimmy Uso repeatedly trying to rip his shirt and off and failing.
– The August 2nd episode of WWE SmackDown Live on USA drew 2,681,000 viewers, slightly down from last week’s 2,743,000. SmackDown viewership is still way up since moving to Tuesday nights. Prior to the move, the last time SmackDown’s viewership was as high as this week was January 28th.
– Jimmy Uso is dealing with an unknown injury, which is why Jey has been working singles matches and teaming with Zack Ryder. Jimmy last wrestled at the Battleground PPV on 7/24, when the Usos lost to Breezango.
As seen tonight on Raw, Jimmy and Jey Uso were erroneously introduced by Lilian Garcia as the Grammy Award-winning Tag Team of the Year (as opposed to the Slammy Award-winning Tag Team of The Year) prior to their match against Curtis Axel and Adam Rose. Raw immediately went to a commercial break, with her announcing flub replayed when the show returned to the air. It was then repeatedly mentioned by JBL throughout the night.
Lilian quickly acknowledged her error on Twitter.
Music side of me came out in that match!! 😂 #TheUsos#Raw
WWE taped the following matches in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, October 6th for this week’s edition of WWE Main Event.
– Kevin Owens came to the ring for a promo, calling himself Superstar of the Year. Owens brags about his accomplishments and then yells at Byron Saxton for being disrespectful. Jimmy Uso gets up from the commentary table and the two have words but Owens ends up leaving. Owens vs. Uso is announced for later.
– Naomi def. Paige in Divas action. The crowd chanted a lot for Sasha Banks. In the end, Naomi picked up the win via pinfall.
– Kevin Owens def. Jimmy Uso in the final match taped for this week’s show. Owens kicked out of a Samoan Drop to hit his Pop Up Powerbomb for the 1-2-3.
