Joey Styles’ Contract Set To Expire, Bryan-Bellas & More

— Joey Styles issued an apology last night on Twitter for spoiling the elimination result of the previous week’s episode of NXT.

“I’m sorry I prematurely revealed Aksana was eliminated before it was streamed despite the fact that it happened three hours earlier. Period.”

He then added that his WWE contract expires this Friday.

“Are you fans sorry that my WWE contract expires this Friday? Goodnight and Happy Thanksgiving.”

— Fans were prematurely let into the Amway Center Monday for Raw as Vince McMahon, Triple H, members of The Nexus, John Cena, The Miz, Randy Orton and several agents were seen in the ring rehearsing rehearsing what would be the show’s main event. Security personnel subsequently ushered the fans out of the arena area for 15 minutes.

— Daniel Bryan commented on The Bella Twins advances towards him on Raw, writing on Twitter:

“What’s the deal with the Bellas? I have absolutely ZERO idea.”

What Happened After RAW, WWE’s Reaction To J-Woww In TNA

– In a dark match that took place after Monday’s WWE RAW went off the air, WWE Champion Randy Orton defeated Sheamus and Wade Barrett in a three-way match after Orton hit the RKO on Sheamus for the win.

– Joey Styles took a shot at TNA on his Twitter last night:

“Zack Ryder reminds me of MTV’s Jersey Shore. By the way, who do you think is dumber, Jersey Shore’s Ronnie or whomever writes TNA?”

– Speaking of Jersey Shore and TNA, the buzz within WWE about TNA landing Jersey Shore star Jenni “Jwoww” Farley for a television appearance has been minimal. Many within WWE feel that the J-Woww appearance won’t help TNA much,  because the media views WWE as the only real wrestling promotion.

Hardy Pulled From Appearance, Wrestlicious Champ Slams NXT

— MVP has replaced Matt Hardy as being advertised for an appearance at the Dallas State Fair on Saturday, October 2.

— Inaugural and reigning Wrestlicious Champion Glory (a/k/a Christie Ricci) posted the following message on her Facebook account after watching prospective WWE Diva AJ’s match on Tuesday’s episode of NXT:

“I just saw a match on NXT. Obviously these girls are not trained! This girl, “AJ” went from a total dead sell to getting up, flipping her hair and beating the crap out of a dude! BRILLIANT! I have a good idea, WWE! Why don’t you get Orton to sh*t in a bag, then through it in the ring… at least that would be interesting and more realistic. And just think.. next year this girl will be PWI’s top wrestler!!!”

Styles Slams NXT Season 2 Rookies, Background Info On Maxine

— On Twitter, Joey Styles knocked the five previously eliminated NXT Rookies for their show closing brawl.

“Watching the end of show attack by the 5 previously eliminated NXT Rookies reinforced why most of them were eliminated to begin with. Ugh.” Styles wrote. “More candid comments about NXT to be coming in the weeks ahead….”

Wrestling Observer editor Dave Meltzer dubbed the assault ‘the most unfocused and most poorly done in-ring brawl of the year.’ For starters, Titus O’Neil no-sold MVP’s finishing maneuver, the ‘Drive-By Kick’. Then, Percy Watson jumped Kaval, brawled with his fellow season two NXT Rookies, and continued attacking Kaval. Riley and Watson then began working together after brawling just moments earlier. The assault concluded with the NXT Rookies hitting their respective finishing maneuvers on Kaval, though Lucky Cannon and O’Neil’s were poorly executed.

— NXT Rookie Diva Maxine was briefly listed under her Florida Championship Wrestling ring name, Liviana, on the WWE website last week. Evidently, her name was changed after WWE.com had put together their feature on the season three NXT Rookie Divas.

Maxine, who’s real name is Karlee Leilani Perez, is a 24-year-old Tampa-based model the company signed last year. She initially performed under the ring name Candy Girl as the valet of since released developmental talent Sweet Papi Sanchez. Her name was changed to Liviana following Sanchez’ dismissal from the organization and she was briefly paired with Abraham Washington. She has since taken over the reigns of General Manager of Florida Championship Wrestling and is a fixture on its programming.

Maxine’s ethnicity is quite broad as she is of Spanish, Cuban, Chinese, Hawaiian and Italian descent. Her look has been described as ‘a cross between goth and glamorous’. She’s also considered a good talker.

Perez was arrested on charges of Driving under the Influence in June 2009, shortly after signing with WWE. The charges were later dropped by prosecuting attorneys after she requested a jury trial.

Joey Styles Sick Of DX, Star Disappointed In Rumble Snub

— While watching Raw last week, Joey Styles took aim at D-Generation X on his Twitter account, writing: “Is anybody else besides me sick of DX?”

He posted several other tweets commenting on the show, but they have all since been deleted.

— An apparently upset Tyson Kidd expressed his disappointment on being left off Sunday’s Royal Rumble match with the following message on his Facebook account: “Guess they found 30 guys better, either that or I drew number 31.” Fellow Hart Dynasty member David Hart Smith was also left off the card.
