After successfully defending the World Heavyweight Championship against Alberto Del Rio at Friday’s WWE live event in London, England, John Cena spoke on the microphone and remarked that the city deserves to host WrestleMania 31. He then suggested that it take place at a nearby “big ass” stadium—implying Wembley Stadium. The 14-time world champion also addressed his critics, which led him to utter the term “heel.”
“Sounds like there’s a lot experienced members of the WWE Universe in the crowd tonight. Sounds by the tone, there’s a lot of grown men in the crowd here in London tonight. I gotta feeling these are the same grown men that bring their girlfriends, their wives and their families all the way across the pond and make just a loud noise at our WrestleMania events,” Cena says in response to the audience members who booed him.
While surveying the crowd for frequent WWE event-goers—who generally boo Cena—he states, “WrestleMania veterans…you are grossly outnumbered. I bet you guys came to this building tonight thinking, “This is the night that John Cena is gonna turn heel.” Ah-ah, no way. Not gonna happen.”
Moments later, he continues, “This is the night that John Cena is going to come back to London, see a bunch of super-excited fans, all the way up to the sky! And tell them that they were so loud tonight I could’ve sworn on my heart that every single one of you had been to WrestleMania because this is the noise I hear in that building and for that I thank you.”

WWE Superstar John Cena addressed his recent match at the WWE live event in Leeds, England on Thursday night. In the tweet, which you can view below, Cena does not bring up anything regarding a possible leg injury, which many believe he may have suffered during the match.
Cena wrote:
Truly amazing night in Leeds. Crowd was absurd! Just awesome! Would like to thank @UniofOxford for allowing me to speak at @UniofOxford 2day
As noted in our complete report from the WWE live event in Leeds, England on Thursday, WWE Superstar and current World Heavyweight Champion John Cena appeared to have suffered a leg injury of some sort during the match.
The following is a recap of the match from our report:
“John Cena def. Alberto Del Rio to retain the World Heavyweight Championship. Cena appeared to suffer an injury during the match. He would constantly roll out of the ring to buy time, all the while Del Rio seemed to be stalling for him in the ring. The injury appeared to take place when Cena whipped Del Rio into the corner and seemed to hurt his ankle or Achilles. At one point, Cena fell while attempting to hit his shoulder tackle. The referee threw up the “X” sign and the doctor hit the ring. Also during the match, a fan was ejected for throwing his hat at Cena. Cena reacted to that by cutting a promo about it.”
The following are results from the WWE live event in Leeds, England. The event was held on Thursday, November 14, 2013.
– The Prime Time Players def. Hunico & Camacho in a tag-team opener. The finish came when O’Neil hit his sit-out spinebuster for the pinfall victory.
– Ryback def. Justin Gabriel in the second match on the show. Gabriel actually got a decent amount of cool-looking offense in, but in the end, Ryback got the win with the Shellshock. There were a lot of “Goldberg” and “Feed Me More” chants throughout the match.
– The Bella Twins def. AJ Lee & Tamina Snuka in a Divas tag-team match. Lee was super-over as a babyface. She did a smart move, hwoever, by taking a hot tag, which resulted in a thunderous pop, then immediately tagging back out, as to not give the fans what they wanted. Brie hit the X-Factor on AJ in the end for the pin.
– The Great Khali def. Jinder Mahal in one of the more boring matches of the evening. Khali got the win with his big chop.
– There was a segment with Paul Heyman, Ryback, Curtis Axel and CM Punk. Long-story short, Ryback and Axel ended up abandoning Heyman and Punk beat the crap out of him with a kendo stick until The Wyatt Family’s music hit.
– CM Punk & Daniel Bryan def. Luke Harper & Erick Rowan in tag-team action. Bray Wyatt was at ringside and got involved a few times. The finish came when Punk hit the GTS on Rowan for the 1-2-3. After the match, Punk remained on the ground and many in attendance felt that he suffered some sort of an injury.
–Intermission–
– The Usos def. 3MB. Heath Slater and Drew McIntyre represented 3MB in this one. In the end, The Usos won when Jey Uso hit the super kick and both hit a double Samoan slam for the pinfall victory.
– Curtis Axel def. R-Truth to retain the WWE Intercontinental Championship. After a back-and-forth match, Axel got the win by using an exposed turnbuckle and hitting his finisher on Truth for the 1-2-3.
– John Cena def. Cena reacted to that by cutting a promo about it.

– According to reports, WWE Superstar Damien Sandow is currently being groomed for a top position in the company. Sandow, who was given a win over Kofi Kingston on RAW on Monday, recently cashed in his Money In The Bank briefcase unsuccessfully against current World Heavyweight Champion John Cena. – Back in August while promoting SummerSlam, John Cena made reference to his “Five Moves of Doom” on an episode of Raw, a colloquial term for his trademark sequence of moves (flying shoulderblock, sitout hip toss, side-release spinout powerbomb, Five Knuckle Shuffle and Attitude Adjustment). The official WWE website published a video today in response to the infamous notion that Cena “can’t wrestle.”
“Then how do you explain the powerbomb, neckbreaker and hurricanrana he dishes out in this video?,” WWE.com says of video on the front page, entitled “10 moves from John Cena’s underrated arsenal.” The video caption reads, “John Cena shows that he is capable of much more than his proverbial “Five Moves of Doom.”
– WWE filed a copyright claim in response to satellite footage from last Monday’s Raw that surfaced on YouTube and had the two videos removed.
Pre-Raw footage was leaked of the announcers preparing for the broadcast, which notably features Michael Cole acknowledging plans of a wrestler being put through his table later in the evening. In the other video, Big E Langston, Dolph Ziggler, The Miz are shown preparing for a WWE App segment, which features Ziggler using colorful language.
– Smackdown ring announcer and “army brat” Lilian Garcia posted a message on her official website celebrating Veteran’s Day.
As seen on Sunday night’s episode of Total Divas on E!, John Cena admitted to soiling himself once during a match. The WWE World Heavyweight Champion’s memory, however, appears a bit hazy.
On the show, Cena’s girlfriend Nikki Bella informed him of Natalya urinating on herself during a match (against Naomi on July 1, 2013 at a WWE Superstars taping in Sioux City, Iowa). Rather than poke fun at the third-generation grappler’s latest incident, Cena changed the subject by recalling a bowel movement mishap of his own.
“I pooped myself once,” Cena told the former WWE Divas Champion. “I had to throw [my pants] away. It was in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, I had food poisoning and I still went out to wrestle. Everybody knew—I was embarrassed.”
Cena has relayed the story in the past in radio interviews and to WWE Magazine. However, he told the publication in 2008 that the embarrassing incident took place in a different region of Canada.
“It was in Winnipeg, and I was wrestling Scott Steiner, with Bull Buchanan as my lackey,” Cena said in response to a question asking him about the most embarrassing thing that’s ever happened to him in or out of the ring. “I got food poisoning and thought I wouldn’t be able to wrestle, but went out there anyway. I took a DDT, rolled out and the time-keeper was there. I looked him in the eye and said, “Where do I puke?” And he said, “Under the ring.” So I went under the ring and puked and everyone knew it. But as I was puking I crapped my pants. Luckily, it was at the end of the match, but nothing has ever topped that since.”
It would appear that the incident actually took place in Jacksonville, Florida (on December 14, 2002). According to TheHistoryofWWE.com, Cena only faced Steiner once in 2002, and did not compete at the organization’s lone events that year in Saskatoon and Winnipeg (which took place in late-May, before he was promoted to the main roster and Steiner re-joined WWE).
In a voice-over segment, Bella said that she couldn’t be more disgusted by her boyfriend’s embarrassing admission. “I don’t know what to think right now—I guess I’m just thinking about s–t! That would be so embarrassing!”
Last night in Munich, Germany, John Cena cut a promo to end the show putting over Antonio Cesaro – saying that he is destined to become a huge star and even handed him the World Heavyweight title. (Video by Youtube user TehRealSuu)

– WWE Superstar and current World Heavyweight Champion John Cena promoted the return of the WWE Total Divas reality show, which airs on E! on Sunday night, in a new tweet posted on his official Twitter account. Cena wrote the following:
With Total Divas returning tomorrow night at 10/9 CT on E!, viewers can expect to see Eva Marie’s off-putting behavior and John Cena and Nikki Bella’s relationship take center stage.
The Nov. 17 episode, titled “Nurse Nikki,” will focus on the three. Courtesy of TVGuide.com, the synopsis reads, “Nikki moves in with John Cena and he shocks her with an unexpected demand; at the same time, Eva Marie considers cheating after she’s asked to announce on live TV.”
The Nov. 24 episode, as well as tomorrow night’s show, will center around Eva Marie. In a new twist, Natalya suspects that she is attempting to get in touch with Tyson Kidd. The official synopsis for “Seeing Red,” which also features the continuation of the Cena and Bella storyline, is as follows: “Nattie has a feeling that Eva Marie is trying to cozy up to her man; Nikki wonders if she can accept John Cena’s demand; and Brie has issues with Bryan’s increasing fame.”
As reported earlier, the synopsis for tomorrow night’s “SummerSlam” show reads: “Eva Marie’s rising popularity is seen as a threat by Nikki; Ariane works on anger management; and an accident during a match leaves Nattie worried about returning to the ring for SummerSlam.”
Brie Bella has her own suspicions of Eva Marie. Speaking to OK! Magazine, she stated the following of her peer’s behavior at SummerSlam for her match against Natalya, “The thing is, you are putting so many different personalities together trying to force friendships and it is like, we are still going for one spot. Especially in the first episode because it is SummerSlam, that is a big night for us and I was lucky enough to have a singles match but how can someone just walk in and try to capitalize off that?! We definitely have our moments where we get along great but you will see a lot more of Eva just kind of being herself and just trying to get ahead without working hard. She has her ways.”
Eva Marie, who scored her first pinfall victory last Monday on Raw, is currently in Europe promoting Total Divas.

WWE Champion John Cena was recently interviewed by Marvel.com. Here are some highlights of what Cena said about:
What Motivated Him To Return From Injury So Soon:
“I just don’t like [being out]. I really like the job and it comes with ups and downs and I know not necessarily everyone at my job loves me but that shouldn’t sour me from my place of employment. I’ve truly found a home in the WWE and when I’m not there all I want to do is be there. I think that helped me get back really soon because everything I did was focused on getting back sooner and sooner.”
“Honestly, I like seeing how WrestleMania unfolds. I’ve had different matches over the years. I’ve been scattered throughout the menu. But looking back at all my WrestleMania performances, the fact is that I was there and I really enjoy seeing what’s going to happen. I was a part of WrestleMania XX and if you look at the timeline from XX until now, XX pretty much laid the foundation of the people who are truly the driving force of the company right now. So who’s to say what’s going to happen at [WrestleMania] XXX? I really just want to be able to find out. First of all, I’m glad that tickets are going on sale on the 16th because that makes the event very [real]. And then I just want to be able to see where I can be, what I can do, and how this whole thing is going to shake up.”
If He Could Have One Super Power, What Would It Be?
“Man, honestly I hope for the power of invisibility. I say, “You can’t see me” all the time so I kind of half-ass answered that. Maybe cloning? That way I can get myself to more places at once. I truly like being able to be in the ring and I know WWE tours with two brands and now that I’m back I’m trying to make every brand, every show. So if there was just one more of me, I’d be able to make it everywhere at once.”
