[cenachampshirt]- According to a source who was backstage at RAW, a lot of people got emotional during John Cena’s Make-A-Wish segment. You can view that segment and more videos from RAW here.

– Zeb Colter mentioned on Twitter that he had a bad fever at Monday’s RAW, where he wrestled Ricardo Rodriguez & Big E Langston in the opening contest:
Seriouly, last night I was MAJOR SICK. I had a temp of 102.4, headache, dizziness and still had the match won until Ricardo stole it. Thief!
After Monday’s WWE RAW from Columbus went off the air, John Cena thanked the Make-A-Wish kids again. Cena said his ankle is busted, but that wasn’t going to keep him out of action when they came to see him.
Fandango’s music then hit, which the crowd loved. He asked them, the crowd “What’s my name?” a few times. The crowd responded, “Fan-Dan-Go” and that ended the show.

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has updated his blog, which you can read in its entirety at JRsBarBQ.com. Here are some highlights of what JR wrote about:
Women’s Promotions Going National: Some one asked if I thought an all womens promotion could be successful on a national basis. It all depends on the business model, I suppose, including the TV deal and the talent pool from which to select but my gut instinct would be a polite, “no.”
NFL Star Tim Tebow Joining WWE: Perhaps Time Tebow will show up and do a “run in” as he’s looking for work. Perhaps trying WWE would be a nice fit for Tebow who would undoubtedly be an antagonist in today’s defiant world. Of course, I jest regarding Tebow in WWE but stranger things have happened.
John Cena’s Injury: Anxious to hear more info on the condition of John Cena’s Achilles injury and what it means, if any thing, to his WWE Title defense at Extreme Rules vs. Ryback. Got a feeling that Ryback won’t be too sympathetic regarding @JohnCena medical ills. Cena worked through his injury while in Europe which many would not have done but I’m under the impression that he’s pushed it about as far as he can at this point in the process.
– WWE.com has a new article up looking at Triple H’s upcoming steel cage match against Brock Lesnar at Extreme Rules. The piece emphasizes that Lesnar’s past as a UFC cage fighter will work to his advantage:
“Will Brock Lesnar’s experience fighting in the UFC’s Octagon prove advantageous or detrimental when he steps inside WWE’s steel cage against Triple H at Extreme Rules?””
– WWE Hall of Famer Edge responded to a fan who Tweeted him about John Cena’s Achilles tendon injury. The fan noted that Edge had the same injury during his career, and it kept him out of action for 12 months. Edge replied:
Actually 6 months, not a year. Still sucks though. He's stubborn, he'll get through it @CCTChairShots @WWE@JohnCena
The big news of this past weekend is that Joh Cena injured his heel during WWE’s European tour.
According to a report at f4wonline.com, it’s now believed that the injury occured last weekend (4/21) when WWE was in Geneva, Switzerland. Cena defeated Ryback in a Tables match on that show. In an effort to protect John Cena while his injury was diagnosed, he was moved into six-man tag matches, teaming with Kane and Daniel Bryan against Ryback, Dolph Ziggler and Big E Langston.
The fact that the injury took place over a week ago is a sign that WWE likely knows more about the injury than they are letting on with their online reports. They are playing up that Cena’s status for Extreme Rules is in jeopardy, but there are still people in WWE that think Cena will be fine and WWE is simply using the injury scare as a way to portray Cena as a vulnerable champion.
WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has commented on the injury suffered by WWE Champion John Cena while overseas this weekend. Via JRsBarBQ.com:
“WWE.com reporting that WWE Champion John Cena has sustained an injury while on the European Tour. The report states that Cena has issues with his right, Achilles tendon which can be a dicey matter. Achilles injuries can be puzzling especially if they aren’t torn and don’t require surgery. In other words these types of injuries can linger if one doesn’t get the proper rest and allow the tendon to heal. The injury is legit as Cena has been suffering through this matter for several days even though he hasn’t missed any bookings. Always said the man has the work ethic and toughness of an offensive lineman which is a good thing.”
WWE Champion John Cena was injured last night during WWE’s overseas tour of Europe.
According to WWE.com, he injured his right Achilles tendon during a match against Ryback. Cena was actually teaming with Kane and Daniel Bryan against the team of Ryback, Dolph Ziggler and Big E Langston. The show took place in Lodz, Poland and was the final stop on the tour before WWE flew back to the United States for tomorrow night’s WWE RAW from Columbus, Ohio.
The report states:
The injury raises questions about the scheduled match between Cena and Ryback at Extreme Rules on May 19. What lies ahead for the Cenation leader? Does this put Ryback one step closer to capturing the WWE Title?
At this point, there are no definitive details as to the extent of the injury – and what it means for Cena’s upcoming WWE Title defense against Ryback at Extreme Rules. It’s worth noting that none of the live reports we’ve seen from the show mentioned that Cena appeared to be injured. The news is coming from WWE, so the validity of the injury is open to your interpretation.
WWE is teasing that we’ll get an update on RAW – where John Cena is scheduled to team up with Ryback against The Shield.
COMMENT Below and tell us what you think about the situation. If the injury keeps Cena out for months – could this be the best thing that ever happened to Ryback’s career?

Though Nikki Bella is romantically linked to John Cena, unlike retired wrestler Michelle McCool, there is no animosity toward her among her WWE co-workers for dating a top star. It was noted within some circles recently that McCool had “tremendous heat” among some of her peers when she rose to the top years ago, but was “bullet proof” because of her romantic affiliation with The Undertaker. Nikki and twin sister Brie are well-liked among their peers, with organization officials holding them in high regard.
It’s also said that with Nikki dating Cena, the twin duo can “get away with a lot.”
McCool has been greatly criticized over the years for taking the fast track to WWE glory. After entering an intimate relationship with The Undertaker in late 2007 (who she married in June 2010), many critics attributed her position in the company to her influential partner rather than her ability to perform. Months after her spring 2011 retirement from the squared circle, the four-time champion was asked in an interview why she has received so much flack from her colleagues.
Dan Murphy of Inside Wrestling asked McCool, “I know you like to keep some things private and this was never announced, but you did marry The Undertaker. He’s obviously a veteran and icon in the business with a lot of influence. Was it the Diva Search background or having the relationship with someone like him that’s responsible for the heat and resentment you got?”
She responded, “Bottom line: People in our business are always going to look to find reasons to see the negative in somebody and to become resentful. I don’t really know where it began: probably with me getting the tag as “Diva Search reject.” But I don’t know anybody who, if they had an opportunity like the Diva Search, they wouldn’t jump at it. If they didn’t jump at it, they’d be idiots.
“People can say what they want to say, but at the end of the day, I can look at myself in the mirror. I know how hard I fought. I know how many storylines I pitched. I know how hard I worked in the ring. I can’t tell you the number of times I was one of the first people at the arenas or at TV, constantly trying to better myself. I can honestly say that my hard work paid off. My resilience paid off. My persistence paid off. That’s all there is to it. People are always going to say what they want to say and believe what they want to believe, but that’s the bottom line.”
SEScoops.com reader Thomas sent along this video of the birthday celebration for John Cena that took place at yesterday’s WWE RAW live event in Nottingham, Great Britain.

– The main event of next week’s live WWE RAW from the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio will feature WWE Champion John Cena & Ryback vs. The Shield’s Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns.

“Today’s a very special day. Happy Birthday to a very special man. Here’s to many more birthdays Superman! ?”
– Speaking of the Bella Twins, they were conspicuously absent from Monday’s RAW. The reason they are not currently overseas touring with WWE is because they are doing doing media appearances for the new “Total Divas” reality show that will be airing on the E! Network. The Bellas attended an E! Upfront party on Monday night and tweeted the following photo of themselves with eleven-time Olympic medalist Ryan Lochte:
– After a series of high profile losses, there is an effort being made in WWE to protect Ryback in his feud with John Cena. – A new article at WWE.com acknowledges John Cena’s “Super Cena” label, noting that fans have compard him to Superman because of his “seemingly superhuman strength and his ability to emerge victorious even when all of the chips are stacked against him.”
– WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels will be replacing John Cena at three consecutive WWE live events next month, on 5/24, 5/25 and 5/26. Michaels will not be wrestling. Other talent scheduled for the events include The New Age Outlaws and Chris Jericho.
– Former WWE Champion Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has issued an update on his claim of an abdominal tear injury mid-way through his match with John Cena at WrestleMania.
Johnson wrote on Twitter Wednesday afternoon, “Injury update: Physical therapy starts tomorrow. Hardcore training starts today. Thank U guys for the love. 5 weeks out..#RoadToHercules.”
Johnson had previously indicated on Twitter that he believes he suffered the injury while delivering the Rock Bottom to Cena during the bout. Last Saturday, Johnson revealed that he and his physician had elected to not re-attach tendons to his pelvis as part of the rehabilitation process. “They’ll just scar up,” he noted.

WWE representatives would not provide any additional details to the publication. The Sentinal notes that “several wrestling-insider websites” have speculated that the WWE will open a training facility.
– As noted earlier, Ric Flair was backstage at Monday’s WWE RAW from Greenville, He was just there visiting and there were no plans for him to appear on television.
– John Cena, Daniel Bryan and Ricky Steamboat will be appearing at the Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con in Philadelphia, PA, which takes place over the weekend of May 30th.
– CM Punk will be doing appearing at the Wizard World NYC Experience on June 28th for a signing, photo session and Q&A panel.
– Triple H underwent an MRI on his wrist this week because there is some concern that he might have suffered a scaphoid fracture. The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons describes the injury as typically being “caused by a fall on an outstretched hand, with the weight landing on the palm.”
– After Monday’s WWE RAW went off the air, Team Hell No came out to help Cena and join him for a 6-man tag match against The Shield. The finish came when Seth Rollins used a chair, which caused his team to get disqualified. Cena and Team Hell No brawled with The Shield with the babyfaces clearing the ring. A funny moment came when Daniel Bryan gave Seth Rollins a chokeslam, which led to Kane yelling “No!” at him.
– Following Monday’s Raw, John Cena tweeted the following message about the tragic bombing that took place earlier in the day in his hometown of Boston, MA:
An evening of @WWE entertainment, overshadowed by an afternoon of horrible tragedy #PrayForBoston

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has updated his blog, which you can read in its entirety at JRsBarBQ.com. Here are some highlights of what JR said about:
Last Week’s Rowdy Crowd At RAW: “Speaking of reactions, the live events, RAWS, Smackdown, and the PPVs are the places fans should express themselves and not, as I wrote about recently, at an event like the WWE Hall of Fame. The boorish behavior of a loud, perhaps inebriated, minority of male fans is inexcusable and, believe me, I’ve heard all the excuses since writing about some of the attendees who acted like morons at the 2013 #WWEHOF Induction Ceremony. I see this behavior as a total lack of respect for all involved in the process not just those being jeered. Finally, the “we pay our money, so we can act any way that we choose” excuse is laughable….and embarrassing.”
Ryback Attacking Cena: “Just because @Ryback22 is hungry for the WWE Title and the money that comes along with it why does that motive make the powerhouse a villain? Since when did ambition make one an antagonist. Antagonist display a variety of common traits, non of which I have seen yet, I stress yet, from Ryback. I do like the apparent pairing of Ryback vs. John Cena and where this matter may be heading. To me, it certainly feels fresh even though some will take exception to the fact that Cena is in the equation. It doesn’t both me and I see this rivalry selling tickets and producing a reaction in the arenas.”
Steve Austin’s Thoughts on Fandango: “@steveaustinBSR predicts that @WWEFandango will be IC Champion within a few months. It might not take that long but I could also see Fandango winning the US Title as well at some point. Stars become stars over the long haul and even though Fandango has had an amazing few weeks and change as it relates to recognition, etc, it’s how he does long term that writes his story. If Fandango can continue to grow, a key role at WM30 could be in his future and that’s generally considered the yard stick.”
