– Kaitlyn is the new #1 contender to Layla’s Divas championship after winning a Divas Battle Royal on RAW.
– Chris Jericho’s contract was “terminated” on RAW after he lost a Summerslam rematch to Dolph Ziggler.
Earlier in the show, AJ Lee made the rematch with the stipulation that if Ziggler won, Jericho’s WWE contract was terminated. If Jericho won, he would receive Ziggler’s Money in the Bank title shot.
Jericho is being written off television will soon begin touring with his metal band Fozzy.
– WWEDVDNews.com has published the official content listing for the WWE’s upcoming “Brock Lesnar: Here Comes The Pain” collector’s edition DVD/Blu-Ray set, which will be released in October.
– GetGlue.com, a social network for people can “check in” to TV shows and movies they watch, is running a promotion this week where fans who check in to WWE programming this week can win a SummerSlam sticker.
– As fans lined up outside the American Airlines Center for Raw, a WWE crew member said Daniel Bryan would debut a new T-Shirt this Sunday at SummerSlam. He surveyed fans on four shirt designs and asked them to pick the one they like.
– Two matches were taped Monday night in Dallas, Texas for this week’s episode of WWE Superstars:
* Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso vs. Johnny Curtis and Michael McGillicutty
* Alex Riley vs. Drew McIntyre
According to a fan account, Curtis debuted a new look in his match.
No dark match was held before the taping.
– Following her victory over Beth Phoenix and Eve on Raw, Kaitlyn posted a Tout of Layla gearing up the Texas native for her match against Eve on SmackDown. A position in SmackDown General Manager Booker T’s administration will be on the line when they fight.
In his first match since flooring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson with a clothesline and subsequent Go to Sleep on Raw 1,000, CM Punk appeared as a babyface at Saturday’s SmackDown live event at Freedom Hall Civic Center in Johnson City, Tennessee. He retained the WWE Championship in a Triple Threat Match against Daniel Bryan and Kane. Attendees largely ignored his apparent heel turn on Monday as he was loudly cheered throughout the match.
Chris Jericho rekindled his partnership with Christian as the duo took on Cody Rhodes and Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler donned a Jericho “WANNA-BEE” T-Shirt, which Jericho ripped off during the contest. The match concluded with Jericho striking Rhodes with the Codebreaker.
Drew McIntyre appeared as a babyface on the show as he rushed the ring to aid Ted DiBiase from an attack courtesy of Camacho and Hunico—after DiBiase defeated Hunico due to interference from Camacho. The third generation wrestler then proposed they have a tag team match, which all agreed to. The match concluded with DiBiase escaping Hunico’s sleeper attempt and hitting him with Dream Street.
Other match results were Kaitlyn over Natalya, Jinder Mahal over Percy Watson, Justin Gabriel over developmental wrestler Leo Kruger and World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus over Alberto Del Rio in a Last Man Standing Match.
WWE Hall of Famer Roddy Piper and WWE diva Kaitlyn have responded to false online reports that Piper offended Kaitlyn backstage at Monday’s RAW 1,000 by making inappropriate gestures towards her.
Piper, who usually does not address Internet reports, says he felt compelled to set the record straight – and has challenged whoever started the rumor to appear on his Rod-Pod podcast on August 2nd to discuss the situation. Piper tweeted:

– Mick Foley mentioned on twitter WWE cameras will be filming at his comedy show on July 18th from The Brokerage in Bellmore, New York. The show starts at 8pm.
– Rumors are swirling that the World Heavyweight Championship match at SummerSlam will see Sheamus defend against Alberto Del Rio and Dolph Ziggler, in a triple threat match.
– WWE Diva Kaitlyn was highly praised for her participation in the six-Divas match at The Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View. She tweeted:
I was just in my first PPV match. *SQUEAL* I feel like the belle of the ball…Except with less dresses and a lot more punching.
– With The Miz making a surprise return to WWE at MITB, everybody was happy to have the former WWE Champion back in the locker room. The Miz was sporting a new haircut and the feeling was that The Miz has improved his look during his time away. It’s expected he’ll be featured as a top heel performer worker this fall.

— Emmett/Furla Films’ feature film Empire State starring Dwayne Johnson and Liam Hemsworth will begin shooting next Tuesday for twenty days in New Orleans, Louisiana. (Details)
— In this week’s edition of WWE’s Outside the Ring, Derrick Bateman takes part in a party for the mind, soul, and body in a ZUMBA class. Bateman takes his newly found ZUMBA talents backstage at WWE where he teaches Kaitlyn and other WWE Superstars some new moves.
— In the latest edition of Backstage Fallout, Sheamus tells the WWE Universe what he thinks his chances are at Over the Limit, Kaitlyn talks about her “vicious” match with AJ and more WWE Superstars react to SmackDown events.

— On Wednesday, WWE’s stock price set a new 52-week low and closed at its lowest mark since April 2003. The stock closed at $7.96 per share after setting a 52-week low of $7.95 per share. It is also the first time the stock price has closed under $8.00 per share since April 2003.
— NXT authority figure William Regal fired both Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks on this week’s NXT episode (watch here) after pitting the perennial troublemakers against each other in a match in which their jobs were at stake.
Hawkins addressed his termination on Twitter, writing, “Future Endeavored. Anybody hiring a ridiculously good looking pro wrestler with exceptional hair? Damn you #NXT.”

– Speaking to Power Slam last month about his induction into the WWE Hall of Fame, legendary boxer Mike Tyson says he would be interested in wrestling for WWE. When asked if he still watches wrestling these days, he responded:
“I don’t watch it as much as I used to—but it’s not the same as it was; they don’t have the same guys. But Triple H is coming back, the WWE is coming back, and I’d like to do whatever I can to be a part of that, to help them in any way I can. I would like to be a wrestler.”
– Kaitlyn was accidentally bloodied during her match against Natalya on this week’s episode of WWE NXT. Rosa Mendes in particular has been directed to yell at ringside in Spanish as much as possible since she’s bilingual.

— The February 4 episode of A.M. Raw garnered a 0.59 cable rating, with 723,000 viewers.
— It was reported Friday that the official website of WWE developmental promotion Florida Championship Wrestling had removed Calvin Raines, Leroy Parks, Marcus Owens and Peter Orlov from their roster page. Owens, whose real name is Jay Nobles, confirmed on Facebook that he was released by WWE on Friday. He vows to show that WWE made a mistake in letting him go.
“I will now travel the world and show them that they totally dropped the ball!” he wrote Monday on his Facebook fan page.
He continued, “I just wanna say to everyone following me that this journey is not over. Sometimes you have to take a step back and analyze what is really important in order to be happy. Happiness is not determined by how much money you make but, what you truly enjoy!”
— Aksana, Derrick Bateman, Kaitlyn, Percy Watson and Titus O’Neil have been removed from the roster page of the official website of Florida Championship Wrestling. All five talents continued to appear for the developmental league after their promotion the main roster.

Following weeks of dissension, Kaitlyn attacked her long time partner at last week’s SmackDown taping and aligned herself with Beth Phoenix and Natalya. The angle, however, was scrapped as it did not air during the show broadcast. WWE has not followed up on their relationship since then.
— Vickie Guerrero made a special appearance Friday at an El Paso, Texas fire station for a good cause. The hometown native was on hand for “Operation Super Hero,” a food and toy drive organized by “Operation Hope.”

– Rey Mysterio was telling people backstage at Monday’s Slammy Awards that he’s in no rush to return. After his latest knee surgery, he wants to make sure he’s 100% before wrestling again.
While he was hoping to be back in action in time for WrestleMania on April 1st, he’s now shooting for May.
– As for Sin Cara, he’s got about four months before he’s ready to return following his recent knee surgery. He’ planning to compete at WrestleMania and does not want to miss the big payday.
– As we reported last week, Kaityn’s recent heel turn and attack on AJ Lee was edited off the 12/6 episode of SmackDown. The segment was cut due to time constraints. WWE did not follow up on the angle at this week’s tapings, so the heel turn may have been dropped all together.
After the tag team match between Kaitlin and AJ Lee vs. Beth Phoenix & Natalya, Kaitlyn turned heel and attacked AJ.
Reader Cohen Morrison sent word that on this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, which has already aired in Australia, the entire divas tag match (including the post-match heel turn) was edited off the broadcast.

Zack Ryder tweeted a cell phone shot of the page featuring Curt Hawkins and Trent Barreta, which includes Naomi.
Though Naomi placed in second in last year’s all-female season of NXT, she is the last remaining contracted contestant to be situated in developmental. A.J., Aksana and Kaitlyn are all members of the SmackDown roster, while Maxine appears on NXT. She has, however, appeared at several non-televised events since the season’s conclusion.
— Inspired by the recent surge of news surrounding former WWE Diva Stacy Keibler, Brooke Anderson will join Eve, Kelly Kelly and Alicia Fox in a WWE ring to interview them for a special segment on the syndicated tabloid television news program The Insider. The segment was scheduled to air on Wednesday’s show, but was postponed.

— The October 31 episode of the Raw SuperShow garnered a 3.1 cable rating, down two-tenths from 3.31 the week before. Overall viewership was also down, from 4.71 million viewers to 4.49.
For the second consecutive week, Raw’s rating declined during the second hour, from 3.21 to 3.00. Overall viewership decreased by 236,000. The first hour of last week’s show averaged 4.93 million viewers before declining to 4.50 in the second.
