  • Kaitlyn Advertised To Face A.J., Vickie Guerrero At Food Drive

    — The official website of the Izod Center is advertising a Santa Claus Little Helper Diva Tag Team Match pitting Kaitlyn and Tamina against A.J. and Alicia Fox for the December 30, 2011 SmackDown live event.

    Following weeks of dissension, Kaitlyn attacked her long time partner at last week’s SmackDown taping and aligned herself with Beth Phoenix and Natalya. The angle, however, was scrapped as it did not air during the show broadcast. WWE has not followed up on their relationship since then.

    — Vickie Guerrero made a special appearance Friday at an El Paso, Texas fire station for a good cause. The hometown native was on hand for “Operation Super Hero,” a food and toy drive organized by “Operation Hope.”

  • Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara’s Returns, Kaitlyn’s Heel Turn

    – Rey Mysterio was telling people backstage at Monday’s Slammy Awards that he’s in no rush to return. After his latest knee surgery, he wants to make sure he’s 100% before wrestling again.

    While he was hoping to be back in action in time for WrestleMania on April 1st, he’s now shooting for May.

    – As for Sin Cara, he’s got about four months before he’s ready to return following his recent knee surgery. He’ planning to compete at WrestleMania and does not want to miss the big payday.

    – As we reported last week, Kaityn’s recent heel turn and attack on AJ Lee was edited off the 12/6 episode of SmackDown. The segment was cut due to time constraints. WWE did not follow up on the angle at this week’s tapings, so the heel turn may have been dropped all together.

  • *Spoiler* Heel Turn From SmackDown Tapings Scrapped (Video)

    It appears that WWE has changed their mind on a heel turn that was filmed at Tuesday’s WWE SmackDown tapings from Jacksonville, FL.

    After the tag team match between Kaitlin and AJ Lee vs. Beth Phoenix & Natalya, Kaitlyn turned heel and attacked AJ.

    Reader Cohen Morrison sent word that on this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, which has already aired in Australia, the entire divas tag match (including the post-match heel turn) was edited off the broadcast.

  • Austin’s New Action Movie, Cody vs. Goldust, New Divas Stable

    – To update the story of a potential Cody Rhodes vs. Goldust ‘Brother vs. Brother’ match, WWE officials are said to open to the idea, although it might not happen at WrestleMania, as Goldust is pushing on Twitter.

    – WWE officials have discussed putting Kaitlyn in a heel Divas stable with Divas Champion Beth Phoenix and Natalya.

    – Former WWE announcer Todd Grisham will be hosting an American Kennel Club special on ABC in January.

    – WWE shipped 265,000 DVD units in October 2011, up 6% from October 2010. The top shipped WWE DVD’s for the year so far are:

    • WrestleMania 27 (232,000 units)
    • Best of WCW Nitro (138,000)
    • History of WrestleMania (120,000 units)
    • DX One Last Stand (109,000 units)
    • Randy Orton’s DVD (102,000 units)

    – “Stone Cold” Steve Austin’s new action movie, which is currently shooting in Vancouver and co-stars Steven Seagal, will be titled, “Maximum Conviction.” Austin and Segal will play soldiers guarding female prisoners from mercenaries that are trying to kill them.

  • FCW Diva Likely Being Promoted, WWE Divas Talk Stacy Keibler

    — WWE developmental wrestler Naomi is pictured in the official WWE souvenir program exclusive sold at the ongoing European live event tour.

    Zack Ryder tweeted a cell phone shot of the page featuring Curt Hawkins and Trent Barreta, which includes Naomi.

    Though Naomi placed in second in last year’s all-female season of NXT, she is the last remaining contracted contestant to be situated in developmental. A.J., Aksana and Kaitlyn are all members of the SmackDown roster, while Maxine appears on NXT. She has, however, appeared at several non-televised events since the season’s conclusion.

    — Inspired by the recent surge of news surrounding former WWE Diva Stacy Keibler, Brooke Anderson will join Eve, Kelly Kelly and Alicia Fox in a WWE ring to interview them for a special segment on the syndicated tabloid television news program The Insider. The segment was scheduled to air on Wednesday’s show, but was postponed.

    Eve tweeted, “Our @TheInsider segment should be airing later this week :-) We’ll keep you posted!”

  • Raw Loses Viewers During Second Hour, Matches Taped For NXT

    — The October 31 episode of the Raw SuperShow garnered a 3.1 cable rating, down two-tenths from 3.31 the week before. Overall viewership was also down, from 4.71 million viewers to 4.49.

    For the second consecutive week, Raw’s rating declined during the second hour, from 3.21 to 3.00. Overall viewership decreased by 236,000. The first hour of last week’s show averaged 4.93 million viewers before declining to 4.50 in the second.

    — Matches taped tonight in Greenville, South Carolina for this week’s episode of WWE NXT were: Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso vs. Johnny Curtis and Tyson Kidd; Kaitlyn vs. Tamina; A.J, Percy Watson and Titus O’Neil vs. Derrick Bateman, JTG and Maxine.

    — The October 29 episode of A.M. Raw scored a 0.69 cable rating with 792,000 viewers.

  • Sin Cara Lands “WWE ’12” Video Game Cover, Japan Tour News

    — Different countries have different artwork for THQ’s upcoming WWE ’12 video game and the original Sin Cara has been chosen for the cover in Mexico.

November 30, 2011 at Yokohama Arena will feature John Cena vs. Alberto del Rio for the WWE Championship, Dolph Ziggler vs. Kofi Kingston for the United States Championship, and Kelly Kelly vs. Beth Phoenix for the Divas Championship. December 1, 2011 at Yokohama Arena will feature John Cena and CM Punk vs. TBA, Big Show vs. Mason Ryan, and Dolph Ziggler vs. Evan Bourne for the United States Championship.

    — Kaitlyn turned twenty-five years old on Friday.

  • Divas Debut New Looks On RAW, Superstars

    — Eve Torres stated on Twitter that she will debut a new look tonight on Raw.

    She wrote, “Debuting a bit of a new look tonight… Let me know what you think!”

    Meanwhile, The Bellas Twins debuted new ring gear in a match taped for this week’s episode of WWE Superstars—against A.J. and Kaitlyn.

    Joey Styles said of their garments: “Their outfits were the greatest ring gear in history!”

    Also taped tonight for Superstars was John Morrison vs. Drew McIntyre.

    — Matches scheduled to air on tonight’s episode of SmackDown are as follows:

    — After R-Truth and The Miz were fired on this week’s episode of WWE Raw SuperShow, WWE.com transferred their respective profiles to the Alumni section.

  • Rosa Mendes Responds To Her Haters, Sin Cara vs. Sin Cara Feud

    — Infrequently seen SmackDown Diva Rosa Mendes was besieged with negative messages on Twitter after disparaging the ‘Rookie Divas’ of WWE during a recent outburst—A.J. (“looks 12 with a crater face”), Aksana (“looks like she is 40”), Kaitlyn (“looks like she needs to go on Jenny Craig”) and Maxine (“You know the new girl on NXT, with the huge overbite. Lol”). She wrote in response to her critics, “To all my haters, If I had a dollar for every time you have called me a derogatory word I would have enough money to donate to you so you can move out of your trailers. Hahahaha. Go on a diet, fix your teeth, and get a life.

    She also mocked a fan with a WWE username who wrote in his profile that he is a doctor who graduated from Harvard: “You must not be too good of a Doctor if your here insulting me, oh that’s right, you have your PHD in WWE! Atta boy! Xo”

    — On Friday’s SmackDown, Sin Cara lost to Daniel Bryan by disqualification when he wouldn’t stop his assault of the Money in the Bank briefcase holder. A second Sin Cara emerged and confronted his impostor; the two had a staredown.

    The cover of the latest issue of Super Luchas features a comic style drawing of the dual Sin Caras preparing to fight, with the headline reading “Dos Místicos, Un Sin Cara.”

  • Edge’s Role On This Week’s SmackDown, Mendes Continues Rant

    — Edge is advertised to host the Cutting Edge with World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton and Mark Henry on this week’s episode of SmackDown. The episode is being taped tomorrow at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

    — Rosa Mendes posted several messages on Twitter over the weekend disparaging the ‘Rookie Divas’ of WWE, writing: “Awwwww u guys are mad @ me. You love AJ because she looks ordinary just like you. Divas are not suppose to look ordinary. If i’m making people upset, I don’t really care. I’m sick of seeing the Divas division ruined by these rookies. Sexy, smart, powerful! Stay in FCW and stop shopping at Target chicas! One rookie looks 12 with a crater face, one looks like she is 40 and the other one looks like she needs to go on Jenny Craig. You know who you are! Lol”

    Mendes revealed who she has problems with this afternoon: “Just so everyone is clear the rookies are AJ, Kaitlyn, Aksana and Maxine. You know the new girl on NXT, with the huge overbite. Lol.”

  • Original Sin Cara Returning, Kaitlyn Appearing At Olympia Expo

    — Tuesday night on SuperSmackDown, Sin Cara (portrayed by WWE developmental wrestler Hunico) blasted Daniel Bryan with a kick to the head following his victory over the former ROH World Champion. This was done because creative was told that the original Sin Cara, Luis Ignascio Urive Alvirde, is returning to feud with his imposter.

    — Gaspari Nutrition will host the sports nutrition and supplementation industry’s first ever live broadcast from the Joe Weider’s 2011 Olympia Expo, September 16-17, 2011 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. WWE Diva Kaitlyn, a former fitness model, will host live interviews from the Gaspari Nutrition booth. More details are available here.

  • Bare Breasts Shown During Raw, NXT Graduates Special Tonight

    — Following the Brie Bella vs. Kelly Kelly match on Raw, The Score in Canada accidentally cut to a feed of Eastbound and Down. During the brief cutaway, four seconds of bare-breasted women aired. The Score then briefly cut to a Steve Austin music video featuring “Somewhere Down in Texas” by George Strait before returning to the broadcast with the Alex Riley highlight video.

    — Tonight’s episode of WWE NXT will highlight past contestants who have gone on to superstardom including A.J., Alex Riley, Brodus Clay, Daniel Bryan, Justin Gabriel, Kaitlyn and Wade Barrett. The synopsis of tonight’s episode reads: “WWE NXT is WWE’s launching pad to Superstardom. Six NXT Graduates have gone on to win WWE Championships, including Wade Barrett and Daniel Bryan.   • Punk vs. Cena On SmackDown?, Diva Says She Hates Her Theme

    — A match pitting CM Punk against John Cena is being advertised by cable outlets for this Tuesday’s live SuperSmackDown special on Syfy. WWE has not announced the match yet.

    — Kaitlyn accidentally revealed in a Twitter message intended as a private message that she hates her WWE entrance theme (“Let’s Go” by Hollywood Records).

    “To be honest, I don’t have any criteria really or a timeline . I just hate the generic music they have for me. And u thought it would be,” she wrote.

    Kaitlyn said upon learning her mistake, “Oh snap! U stop reading my DM’s hahah I accidently posted a message meant for a DM.”

  • WWE Predicts This Fall’s Breakout Stars, Rotten Facing Eviction

    — The latest issue of WWE Magazine has a feature on the breakout stars to watch this fall. Those profiled are Justin Gabriel, Johnny Curtis, Jinder Mahal, Zack Ryder, A.J. and Kaitlyn, with all six explaining in their own words why they’re WWE’s next breakout star.

    A.J. stated, “I’m trying to redefine the word ‘Diva.’ Divas don’t have to be super-girly, ultra-feminine Barbie dolls—there’s room in WWE for girl-next-door types. I see myself as the ultimate underdog, and a lot of people can relate to that. Not everyone is super-jacked and strong and the superwoman type. Some of us just have to fight. I’m just like every little kid out there. What I bring is a lifetime of watching and enjoying WWE—I’m kind of like a fan who snuck her way in. I’m sort of proud of that.

    “I might come off as this bubbly person, but that’s because I come from a rough past. Before I even started in WWE, I was living in a car. I wasn’t scouted for WWE. I paid my dues, and literally starved for two months making ends meet. Beth [Phoenix] was at my tryout and gave me a special, awesome pep talk, saying, ‘Yeah, you can do this.’ Then I got signed.”

    — Former ECW star Axl Rotten stated on Twitter that if he doesn’t come up with $5,000 by the end of the month, he will be evicted from his home. He was asking for PayPal donations. The message, however, has since been deleted.

    — AT&T U-verse is mistakenly advertising Kane vs. Rey Mysterio and Sheamus vs. Randy Orton as the top two matches for SummerSlam. Both contests took place at last year’s event.

  • RAW Match For Next Week, Miz On MTV This Week, Superstars

    — It was announced tonight on Raw that a #1 Contender’s Diva Battle Royal will be held on next week’s show to determine the #1 contender to the Divas Championship. The winner will face Kelly at SummerSlam.

    — The Miz is advertised to appear on MTV’s The Challenge: Rivals After Show this Wednesday night at 11:00 p.m.

    – Matches taped tonight in Hampton, Virginia for this week’s episode of WWE Superstars are as follows:

  • Colt Cabana Attending Money in the Bank, Paul Bearer Hacked

    — Paul Bearer’s Twitter account was hacked last week due to a phishing attack. The account has since been reclaimed. His primary account is located here.

    — Colt Cabana, who performed in WWE as Scotty Goldman, noted on Art Of Wrestling that he would be attending Money in the Bank.

    The pay-per-view event takes place next Sunday at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.

    — Alex Riley and Kaitlyn will be appearing at the 2011 Connecticut Women’s Expo on Saturday, September 10, 2011. Event information is available here.

  • Jim Ross Comments On His TV Future, WWE Fixes Phoenix Error

    — Jim Ross doesn’t believe he will remain on WWE programming on a regular basis. However, tonight’s WWE Draft could change his assumptions

    Ross wrote on Twitter, “I’d be shocked if I return to wk’ly tv in any form on a regular basis. Draft could change my assumptions. I do miss Mon nites w/ King.”

    — WWE.com listed Beth Phoenix as a member of Raw over the weekend. The URL error was fixed today as her profile page denotes her as a member of SmackDown.

    — Rosa Mendes replaced Kaitlyn during the final portion of SmackDown’s overseas tour last week.

    — Jim Ross is advertised for appear at this Saturday’s Legends of the Ring 12 event, which takes place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Monroe, New Jersey. More information is available at www.legendsofthering.com.

  • The Rock On “Piers Morgan”, “Tough Enough” Cast At ‘Mania

    WrestleMania XXVII host Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is scheduled for Piers Morgan Tonight on CNN. His appearance airs this Thursday at 9:00 p.m.

    In January, the talk show filled the time slot formerly held by Larry King Live.

    — The cast of Tough Enough are scheduled to appear at WrestleMania XXVII in Atlanta, Georgia. They are also scheduled for the following night’s Monday Night Raw taping.

  • Backstage Heat On WWE Diva, Afa Comments On Rock’s Return

    — Kaitlyn has been on hand for all recent SmackDown tapings, but has been sparingly used. It is said that some of the veteran female talent have chastised Kaitlyn for not paying her dues, but ironically, its products of the Diva Search that have been complaining.

    — The synopsis for April’s WWE Classics on Demand programming: “All April, we’ll take you on an “Island Adventure” as we feature the hottest action with Superstars from the Tropics.”

    — WWE Hall of Famer Afa The Wild Samoan has returned with his column “The Way I See It” on PopTheCrowd.com and spoke about the return of his nephew The Rock to the WWE. He wrote “I was real pleased when I heard the news that my nephew Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was to appear on Raw, and happy for the fans that he will host Wrestlemania 27. Although Dwayne reached mega success in Hollywood, he never lost his love for this great sport and I know that he enjoys every opportunity to reach his fans!   • Chyna Says She’s Not Retiring, Kaitlyn Partners With Heel, More

    — Former WWE Women’s Champion Chyna stated last week to TMZ.com that she is taking night classes at UCLA and studying to teach English as a second language to children in Japan. She also indicated that she wants to move on from TV.

    Chyna clarified on Twitter that she’s “not retiring.” She added, “Working w/ Model House Talents agency. Learning Japanese to teach on the side. All my love. Health, happiness and love.”

    — Babyface SmackDown Diva Kaitlyn partnered with Layla against Beth Phoenix and Natalya at SmackDown live events on Saturday and Sunday. Her action, however, was limited in both contests.

    Kaitlyn has sparingly appeared on SmackDown since winning NXT season three.

    — The Ticketmaster.com pre-sale code for the March 25 Raw live event at Assembly Hall in Champaign, Illinois is sdleil. Tickets officially go on sale this Saturday at 1 p.m.

  • Ziggler Discusses Amateur Background, Kaitlyn’s Finishing Move

    — The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review conducted an interview with Dolph Ziggler promoting tomorrow night’s SmackDown live event in Pittsburgh, PA. The Intercontinental Champion says his amateur wrestling background comes in handy for him inside the WWE ring.

    “In high school and college, I worked hard as hell to be in great shape, to be good at what I did. A lot of that translates over, or at least helps with the mindset — constantly wanting to be better,” he says. “Also, because of my wrestling background, I’ve been able to apply a lot of moves that a lot of people haven’t seen in a long time — stuff I’ve actually used in college to win matches.

    “I used to do this ‘crucifix pin,’ where you get a guy’s arm between your legs and another arm between your arms and you roll him on his back. I used to use that as a finishing move in high school and college. Now I actually use it almost every match. It’s really comfortable for me to go to place like that really quickly.”

    Ziggler also feels that being able to entertain a crowd is just as, if not more, important than looking the part of a WWE Superstar.

    “You have to differentiate yourself from other people,” he says. “There’s a million guys out there who are athletic. There’s a million 6-foot-8 guys who played football. It’s (about) being able to relate to the fans.”

    — Despite winning the third season of NXT, Kaitlyn’s finishing move has yet to be made clear by WWE. According to the newly released Florida Championship Wrestling program, her finishing maneuver is the Flatliner, an attack the late Chris Kanyon popularized. However, her version is called the “Wedgie Flatliner.”

    — The Score in Canada will be airing a marathon of WWE Vintage Collection on New Year’s Day from 5:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

  • Jillian Says She Asked To Be Released, SmackDown Acquires Diva

    — Jillian Hall revealed last night on her Twitter account that she asked to be released from World Wrestling Entertainment a few times before it ultimately occurred.

    “Many don’t know the truth about my release, but the truth is I asked for my release a couple times before I actually was officially released,” she wrote. “No hard feelings towards WWE. This is just where I am in my life right now.”

    — Kaitlyn appeared in a backstage segment with Vickie Guerrero and Dolph Ziggler on last night’s episode of SmackDown and revealed that SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long had signed her to the brand following her victory of NXT.

    She is now listed as a SmackDown Superstar on WWE.com.

    — This week’s episode of WWE Superstars on WGN America scored a 0.52 cable rating, with 472,000 viewers. The replay did a 0.15 rating, with 137,000 viewers. (source: PWInsider.com)

  • Future Plans For Kaitlyn & Naomi, Fan At Raw Forced To Change

    — It is said that the decision for the winner of NXT season three was immaterial because both Kaitlyn and Naomi were going to be kept on the main roster anyway.

    WWE officials like Kaitlyn as a personality, but feel it will be a while before she improves her in-ring work. Meanwhile, Naomi is considered such a good athlete that she raises the bar for other female talents—which some feel could cause resentment from those with more experience but less athletic ability.

    — At the Monday Night Raw taping in Orlando, a fan ringside wearing Hulk Hogan merchandise. Security personnel made him remove almost all of his Hulkster garb, and was given a “Stand Up for WWE” T-shirt to wear.

    — Former WWE Women’s Champion Trish Stratus has launched an online store, which features autographs, magazines, trading cards and more. The shop is located at www.trishstratus.com/shop.

  • Latest Update On Randy Orton, Kaitlyn Comments On Victory

    — While Randy Orton isn’t suffering from a knee injury — as indicated on television — he is reportedly banged up and dealing with a strained neck. The injury is not serious, but company officials figured given the storyline where he was beaten down, they could give him a week off to recuperate his neck. (source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter)

    — Kaitlyn, who was announced as the winner of the third season of NXT last night, took to Twitter to comment on her monumental victory.

    “Yesterday was a dream come true! I am so blessed and grateful for everything! Thanks for supporting me all the way!” she wrote. “I have a lot of hard work ahead of me! Anything worth having is worth fighting for ~chuck norris nxt season 3.”

    — Lance Storm confirmed in a post on fans.wwe.com that he has launched an official Facebook Fan Page. The page can be accessed here.
