JR Blog: Austin-RAW, Zack Ryder Snubbed, Nash’s Arrest

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross is back with another blog update, which you can read its entirety over at JRsBarBQ.com. Here are some highlights of what JR wrote about:

Zack Ryder Snubbed On RAW: We received a ton of Tweets @JRsBBQ and emails to this site about Long Island’s Zach Ryder not being on Monday Night Raw from his ‘home town.’ Not exactly sure what it was that some thought I could do about it but they vented nonetheless. Lighten Up,  Francis.”

Stone Cold On RAW: “@steveaustinBSR and @R_Roddy_Piper were the two highlights for this old schooler on Monday’s Raw. They both know how to fully command an audience and still have ‘it.’ Austin can be so intense that it bleeds through the TV screen. His Clint Eastwood-esque delivered line to CM Punk….”punk” was golden. @CMPunk and Austin have excellent on screen chemistry and back in the day they would have had a helluva run. Nothing but money.”

“Austin’s mic work with Miz, Vickie Guerrero, and CM Punk were three of the most memorable moments of the three hour Raw.”

Kevin Nash’s Recent Arrest: “@RealKevinNash defended his wife against a drunk dude with a beer bottle in hand and it was Kevin who got arrested and where it was made to look like a big deal by TMZ. Must have been a slow news day. Kevin protecting his wife isn’t a crime the last I looked and it sounds as if the police over reacted. When Kevin told me this story last week, I never dreamed that it would actually become national gossip/news. I’d love to do a sit down DVD interview w/ ‘Big Sexy’ about his career.”

Vickie Guerrero’s Weight Loss: “Vickie is looking great and her change in diet and exercise are working for her.”

TMZ published a follow-up report on Kevin Nash recently being arrested on suspicion of battery following an altercation with an adult male outside of a Florida restaurant.

The original report from TMZ said that a man approached Nash’s wife and became aggressive, leading to Nash taking the man down to the ground. Police were called to the scene and they arrested Nash on suspicion of battery, a charge that has since been dropped due to lack of evidence.

The follow-up report features Nash’s side of the story, who insists he only acted in self-defense because the drunkard came after him with a beer bottle.

Nash said earlier on Twitter, “Guy with tattoo’s always gets arrested.”

Kevin Nash Reacts To TMZ Article, Scott Hall Appears At Show

— TMZ posted a report yesterday stating that Kevin Nash was cleared of a battery charge following a recent altercation with an adult male outside of a Florida restaurant. Nash, however, feels that TMZ didn’t report the whole story.

He wrote on Twitter, “What great journalism TMZ provides. Nothing about the guy trying to attack me with a beer bottle. Guy with tattoo’s always gets arrested.”

TMZ reported that Nash and his wife were leaving the restaurant when a man, who was described as being inebriated, approached Nash’s wife. The man became “aggressive” after Nash’s wife told the drunkard to go away. Nash intervened and took the man down to the ground. He held the man down until police arrived, but was arrested himself on suspicion of battery, a charge that has since been dropped due to lack of evidence.

— Former WWE talent Scott Hall appeared at an I Believe In Wrestling event on Saturday at the Downtown Orlando Recreation Center in Orlando, Florida. Hall, who appeared to have difficultly walking, opened and closed the show addressing the audience. He also participated in an angle with TNA Superstar Jesse Neal.

Kevin Nash Wants A Match With Big Show At SummerSlam

In a new interview with John Pollock of The Fight Network, WWE legend Kevin Nash says he is hoping for a match against the Big Show at SummerSlam.

Nash revealed that there were talks of him having some kind of match with Big Sho at WrestleMania, but acknowledged that it wouldn’t have been fair for him to get a match on the show and take the spot of another young WWE star who worked all year to work their first WrestleMania.

Regarding his WWE return at the Royal Rumble earlier this year, Nash his brief few minutes as part of the Rumble was better  than anything that happened to him during his five years with TNA.

Nash also talked about WWE’s revamped developmental system and how he and other WWE legends like Shawn Michaels might get involved and help Triple H locate and groom the superstars of tomorrow.

Related News: Hall In Very Bad Shape: Ex-Wife Gives Up After Final Attempt To Help

Here is what Kevin Nash said about Hall’s current state:

“These people will say things like ‘you need to have an intervention’ or someone said ‘you need to take Scott fishing without alcohol’ and no one grasps the severity of what this situation is. This is someone that has been to rehab nine times and probably walked out three to four times. He’s been in and out of hospitals for the last year and a couple of times – in Providence (for a recent independent show) – what happened was Scott took a really bad fall in his house and hurt his hip really badly and of course the promoter said Hall got off the plane in a wheelchair blah, blah, blah. I talked to Scott and Scott said ‘I never miss a shot and I’m going to make this shot’ and I told him he sounded horrible and he said ‘yeah’. Somas are the worst thing for wrestlers and I think they’ve killed more wrestlers than anything. He took some of those and hadn’t taken those in a long time and had a really bad reaction…they put him up there for 72-hours and the thing is Scott has been through so many hospitals, so many psych wards, evaluations and so many rehab centers that Scott knows every catch phrase and he knows exactly what the psychologist wants to hear and we’re all workers – that’s what we are and in 72-hours Scott is gone.”

“He’s at a place right now where the peaks and valleys are so incredibly high and low and the last week he’s been at a level spot, his health is bad. I think he went in and saw some doctors and he’s not going to walk in and get a gold label of health and when you get news from doctors that your heart isn’t functioning so well, this isn’t functioning well and this isn’t functioning well and to get all that news all in one day he went into a semi bender.”

“I can’t make Scott Hall want to live, I can’t make Scott Hall want to get better, I can’t make Scott want to repair his relationship with his children, I can’t make any of those things happen and the only one who can is Scott. When and if he does I will be the happiest person on earth. He always knows no matter what, day or night, if he needs me and really needs me or needs anything or anything of me or for him I will be there in an hour and he knows that. I can’t be his therapist, I can’t be his wife, I can’t be his rehabilitation specialist but I can be his friend. I think he needs friends more than he needs people telling him what he has to do or not to do. Lately it’s like the ninth inning, two out, a full count and they’ve walked into the baseball game and sitting in their seat and telling us what’s been going on in the game – I’ve been doing this for 17-years with Scott, you don’t just jump into the game and tell me what he needs to do because you haven’t been here, you haven’t lived it, you haven’t done that and Dana (Hall) has. A lot of people think she’s a crack pot but people forget she has two children with the man, that’s real flesh and blood and Cassidy and Cody are great kids and they deserve better but at the same time Scott – people think Scott’s problem is he likes to get drunk and likes to take drugs and he’s an addict and he’s not – he has post traumatic stress and had several incredibly horrible incidents happen in his early youth going on to his adolescence and early adulthood and he has had things happen to him that he cannot get through.”

“When you are trying to numb a memory that’s when you have a problem and you’re trying to forget something – that’s a problem. He’s not out being a rock star, he’s making things in his mind go away because he cannot shut it off and does it for days at a time and then when he does think about it he realizes the problem is still there.”

Nash Teases TNA Return, Promotional Poster For Slammiversary

— Kevin Nash teased a return to TNA Wrestling last week—due to it appearing that WWE will not bring him back as a performer.

“WWE going young, he wrote on Twitter. “Your my fan base, sit on my ass or watch my buddy’s Sting ass?”

— The promotional poster for TNA Slammiversary, which features Eric Young, Kazarian, Daniels, Robert Roode, James Storm, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin, has been released.

TNA

The synopsis reads: “Nearly a decade ago, it started as a dream that has became a reality. Join legends Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair and The Icon Sting as the power struggle between Immortal and Fortune escalates to a new level of intensity. The World Championship is on the line and the very future of TNA is at stake. TNA presents Slammiversary LIVE! on Pay per View.”

— Former TNA Wrestling talent Shawn Daivari turned 27 years old yesterday.

Hall Released From Hospital, Ex-Wife Comments On His Health

Dana Hall told Mike Mooneyham of The Post and Courier that he ex-husband, Scott Hall, now has little contact with their children—16-year-old daughter Cassidy and 19-year-old son Cody.

“He hasn’t seen Cassidy since August 2010,” Dana said. “I don’t think he has seen Cody in almost two years. They may have had one or two brief phone calls since then, but nothing that I know of.

Dana, who fears that her children have suffered irreparably from the dysfunction of the family, says her son won’t communicate with his father “until Scott gets in rehab and away from the enablers he is with.”

“He calls inconsistently and texts him, and Cody doesn’t respond… They hold it in. They hate to talk about it, but they accept that they don’t have a father or a normal life. The last time I talked to him face to face was when I took Cassidy to the hospital to tell him goodbye last August. It was a horrible scene. He had been doing crack cocaine for days and had used all the money in the account he wrote the child support check on and it had bounced.

“I have cut off his contact with me and the kids, and ignore his calls, texts and messages to me, which are 99 percent negative and nasty when he is drunk. At this point, he can have no contact with us unless I know his intentions. Actions speak louder than words.”

Nash stated last week in a blog post that Hall’s problems go beyond substance addiction. His issues, Nash says, are based on events that happened before his wrestling career, and Hall’s only coping mechanism is turning to drugs and alcohol.

“I can tell you Scott Hall has neither a drug or alcohol addiction … Scott’s problem is he suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder. Drugs and alcohol aren’t the problem; to Scott they are the solution,” Nash wrote.

“Please don’t judge Scott on what you just saw. He would give any of you a kidney … He’s my brother (and) we will get through this.”

Dana, however, believes Scott, is running out of options.

“Pretty much, we are done, his brothers are done, his mother is worried sick, feels helpless … We try to live life as if he is already dead, until he does something really bad, and then it is kind of hard to ignore.”

The article is available here.

Hall’s son Cody accompanied Nash to the hospital for a brief visit on Thursday. Dana updated her Twitter page today with news that Scott is out of the hospital, but has not entered a treatment program.

Knockout Returning To The Ring, Bischoff Comments On Hall

— Miss Tessmacher cut an interview on last night’s episode of TNA iMPACT! and noted the differences in TNA Wrestling during the time she was away. The former WWE Diva says she has been training during that time and that she wants “that championship.” She closed by telling the ‘bitches’ in TNA that Miss Tessmacher is back.

— Eric Bischoff posted a message concerning Scott Hall on his Facebook account yesterday: “Just read Kevin Nash’s latest update on Scott Hall. I agree with Kevin 100% on the real issues at the core of Scott’s problems. God bless Kevin as well as Scott’s family and friends. I hope they find a way to reach Scott before its too late. Scott really is a good man underneath all the scar tissue and pain.”

— Jay Lethal, who was released earlier this week by TNA Wrestling, is accepting independent bookings via Jaylethal471@gmail.com.

— Jeff and Karen Jarrett will be “honorary crew members” for the Joe Denette Motorsports racing team at the Nashville Super Speedway tonight at the Bully Hill Vineyards 200.

Kevin Nash Says Scott Hall Is In Very Bad Shape

Kevin Nash has updated his blog on Tumblr.com with an update on the heath of his longtime friend, Scott Hall. We wish there was better news to report here ..

According to Nash, Scott Hall is going through a very dark period, one of his worst ever. Nash explains that Scott’s problems are a lot deeper than substance abuse and asks people to see Hall as a human being like all of us, with feelings and problems that might ultimately take him down for good.

Here’s part of what Nash wrote:

“Over the last few weeks, since the horrifying New England appearance of Scott Hall, my Twitter page has blown up with plea’s to help Scott. First of all, nobody has to ASK me to help Scott Hall. I consider Scott like a brother. He’s much more than a friend. I have spent more time with Scott Hall in the last 18 years than I have with my wife in the 23 years we’ve been married. We have no secrets between each other. This is ‘real life’. Nobody knows what Scott has gone thru since early childhood to what he has gone thru up unto this point, except for me. I can tell you Scott Hall has neither a drug or alcohol addiction, Scott’s problem is he suffer’s from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Drugs and alcohol aren’t the problem, to Scott they are the solution. He is a fragile and broken human being, not a race horse that you take a whip to to perform. Scott Hall is in bad shape and each time I talk to him I feel it may be the last. It’s gotten to the point where I save his voice mails, much like I would’ve saved Andrew’s (Test), because I knew sometimes when I heard his message it could be the last. The media will want to blame wrestling when Scott passes. Scott was broken way before he broke into the ring for the first time.”

Kevin Nash Talks Leaving TNA For WWE, WM27 Weekend & More

WWE legend Kevin Nash spoke to Atlanta’s Creative Loafing blog to promote the VIP he’s throwing in Atlanta this Friday night as part of WrestleMania weekend. To read the full interview and get more details on Nash’s party – visit CLATL.com. Here are some highlights of what Nash said about:

His Current Role in WWE: “For me, right now at almost 52 years old, I really don’t want to be bouncing around too much. I’m blessed that I can get around as well as I can after being beat up for so many years. But I’d still like to do anything I can do to help the young guys and help the federation move forward. So we’re going to sit down over ‘Mania weekend and the weeks after that, look at some options, and see what works for them and what works for myself and move forward.”

Whether He’ll Be A Part Of WrestleMania Weekend: “I haven’t been told anything, but like any good pro wrestler, I’ll definitely pack my gear because you never know when somebody’s going to go down and they need a body. So I’ll make sure I have my gear on me in case I am needed. But I will be signing at the fan Axxess for them under my Legends contract. It’ll be nice to get back down there, and WrestleMania’s always special. It’s the Super Bowl of wrestling, and it’s nice to be part of the whole weekend. And to do our own little thing to kick it off is something that’s special to me because I’ve never tried to do anything like this before and it’s gotten a good response.

Atlanta’s a sweet town. Great food, great nightlife, good people, so it will be good to spend a couple of days in Atlanta going to my old gyms and hanging out in my old stomping grounds.”

His Decision To Leave TNA and Re-Join WWE: “I was with TNA for the better part of four or five years. I’d walk through the airport and people’d come up and ask for my autograph and ask if I was ever going to wrestle again. I’d be like, “I have been for the past five years.” There’s that much drop-off between WWE and TNA. Then coming back at the Rumble and running out in front of 20,000 people — well, walking out in my case — it was special. The reaction was nice and it’s nice to be back. To me, it was the right move. Everything goes full circle and I became a money player with WWE, and I’d like to finish my career with them.”

Nash Comments On Rock’s Return, Help Randy Orton

– Kevin Nash praised Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s return to Raw last Monday, writing on Twitter:

“Rock was amazing on Monday!!! Welcome back. True class putting over Austin. Great show Monday. Cena got my respect when he went an hour with HBK. Is Rock Cena not maln event at Mania? Rock cut a money promo, trashed his money opponent.”

— Regarding DVR usage of Monday Night Raw, the January 24 episode was viewed in 209,000 homes via tape delay–a 94.0% live vs. 6% tape breakdown, or the difference between a 3.29 and 3.50 cable rating.

— Via Twitter, Randy Orton is giving away free tickets to WWE’s March 14 Monday Night Raw taping in St. Louis. The Raw Superstar, who has eight security cameras outside of his home, caught a teenager ringing his door bell Friday night before running off. He is offering free tickets to anyone who can identify the trespasser.

Here’s the surveillance picture taken by Randy Orton’s home security system:

Del Rio Not Happy About Mistico, Wrestling Buddies, Hall & Nash

Hulk Hogan Wrestling Buddy

– One of our WWE sources is under the impression that Royal Rumble winner Alberto Del Rio is not very happy that there’s another Mexican wrestling star, Mistico, coming to WWE. Del Rio knows that Rey Mysterio’s in-ring career will not last forever and apparently does not want competition in being seen as WWE’s top Mexican performer.

– WWF Wrestling Buddies, the early 1990s pillow toys most of us have given a few off-the-couch elbow drops to, were ranked as one of the 100 Best Toys of all-time by Time Magazine.

– Kevin Nash is starring in a new DVD movie called Monster Brawl which also stars former WWE star Kurrgan, WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Hart and UFC referee Herb Dean.

– Scott Hall wrote on Twitter that he and fellow Kliq member Sean Waltman will be filming a shoot interview next week.

– The Cartoon Network’s animated show MAD will air a WWE parody called “WWER” tonight. The sketch will feature a hybrid world of WWE and the old NBC show ER and will feature parodies of  Triple H, Sheamus, Kofi Kingston and WWE divas.

Big Show Talks The Rock In WWE HOF Next Year & Diesel In WWE

WWE star Big Show was interviewed by the Miami Herald this week as part of WWE’s media rounds this week to announce the city hosting WrestleMania 2012. Top read the full interview, visit MiamiHerald.com

With WWE legend The Rock being from Miami, many are speculating already that he’s a perfect candidate to lead next year’s WWE Hall of Fame Class. Regarding that, Big show asid:

“You look at the impact The Rock had on our industry from the short time he has been in the business to the megastar he is today,” Show said. “I think if anyone deserves to be in the Hall of Fame, I’m sure The Rock does.

“That is a guy who is legendary and deserves every bit of his success. Plus, Dwayne Johnson is one of the finest and nicest people I met in my life. There are a lot of guys that you meet in this business. There are people you don’t like and people you do like. I have incredible respect for Dwayne and his entire family. I respect the man and the character he has. He’s awesome.”

Big Show also commented on fellow former NWO member Kevin Nash and his recent return to WWE.

“I learned a lot from him, when I was in the NWO,” said Show. “When I was a greenhorn, he helped me out a lot. I’m a little bit more of a seasoned veteran now, so if he wants to dance one more time as a partner or opponent, I’ll shake his hand in the middle of the ring, and we will lock horns. I have no problem with that what so ever.”

Update On WWE’s Future Plans For Nash, WCW Reunion Planned

— WWE’s initial plans on Kevin Nash was for him to appear at the Royal Rumble and sign him to a “Legends” contract where he would be used for promotional appearances and the occasional television appearance. Based on the strong reaction he received at the Rumble, another match has not been ruled out. However, nobody expects him to be brought back as an active wrestle.

— Jim Ross noted yesterday in his blog that former WCW employees are meeting in Atlanta, Georgia in late March to commemorate the ten-year anniversary of the final episode of WCW Monday Nitro, which took place on March 26, 2001. The private get-together will precede WrestleMania XXVII in Atlanta the weekend after the ten-year anniversary of the final Nitro. Ross said he was invited and that he wished to attend.

– Dolph Ziggler was on hand for last night’s Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Detroit Pistons game in Cleveland, Ohio.

Kevin Nash Talks Kliq Reunion, His Future In WWE & More

Former six-time World Champion & WWE Legend Kevin Nash was one of the featured guests on this week’s live edition (02/07/11) of the award-winning Monday Night Mayhem.

Kevin Nash Responds To Dixie Carter’s Online Comments: Confirms He Was Under TNA Contract Prior To Signing With The WWE, The Moment He Knew He No Longer Saw Himself Returning To TNA, How Likely We Are To Seeing A Kliq Reunion And/Or Him vs. The Big Show At WrestleMania XXVII, Reveals Who May Induct Shawn Michaels Into The WWE Hall Of Fame, Plus What Lies Ahead For His Own Future With World Wrestling Entertainment (Including The Unveiling Of His First Post-Royal Rumble WWE Project).

You can listen to an MP3 of Nash’s interview at this link. Here are some highlights of what Nash said about:

His in-ring future with World Wrestling Entertainment & his first post-Royal Rumble project through the WWE:

“I mean, your guess is as good as mine as far as if I’m actively going to wrestle. I know I’ve got some stuff I’m doing with THQ this week for the video games. I just play it day by day.”

His response to Dixie Carter’s online comments about him being under contract with TNA prior to signing with the WWE & the moment he knew when he no longer wanted to return to TNA:

“Yes I was. The angle was Kurt (Angle) was beating Jeff (Jarrett). Fortune came down, put the boots to Kurt, and got heat on them. Abyss came down and had a 2×4 basically nailed to his spinal cord, which maybe just seemed a little strange for me that that would at least be attempted murder. If Abyss was not paralyzed from the neck down the next week, it would kind of seem like a foolish thing to do. Flair screamed back up, and Kurt made a comeback on the entire Fortune group and basically cleared the ring. What reason was I coming in for? If Kurt can beat them on his own, I definitely don’t need to come in there.”

How likely are we to see a Kliq reunion at WrestleMania XXVII or part of WrestleMania weekend in Atlanta:

“I talked to Sean (Waltman), and I’m sure he will be there. Scott’s (Hall) kind of the wild card of it. Of course Paul (Triple H) will induct Shawn, and I will be there. I guess Scott is the wild card. The last time I talked to him, he was thinking about going back into a rehabilitation center, so I don’t if he is going to be available to be there that weekend or not.”

Against All Odds Match Announced, Notes On Hemme & Angle

— Matt Hardy vs. Rob Van Dam has been added to this Sunday’s Against All Odds pay-per-view card. The bout will be a rematch from Genesis, which Hardy won.

— Christy Hemme has been announced for WrestleReunion’s signing event on Sunday, April 2 at the Downtown Marriott in Atlanta, Georgia. Fellow TNA Knockout Winter will also be on hand for the event.

River of Darkness, which stars Kurt Angle, as well as Kevin Nash and Sid Vicious as undead giants, will be released on DVD by Green Apple Entertainment on March 29.

Kevin Nash On His WWE Return, Sting-WWE, Kliq Return

Thanks to Martin H. and PWInsider.com for the following recap of Kevin Nash on Monday Night Mayhem yesterday:

– Nash’s thoughts going forward with WWE: Nash said things were better than expected in terms of the response in Boston. Things went well and got in the ring with Cena and that was a blotch because Cena was supposed to be eliminated before he got in. He said it was a great experience.

– Reports of Nash signing a legends contract with WWE. His current status with WWE? Nash said the hosts’ guesses are as good as his. As far as whether he’d be wrestling, stuff with THQ video games, Nash just goes day-by-day.

– Nash says everything in the news gets spun. Responses to Dixie Carter’s reply to fans on tnawrestling.com saying Nash was under contract but was released for reasons she cannot disclose.

– Was Nash under contract for the past couple of weeks? Nash said he was! How close was he to going to TNA? Nash said basically up until he saw Kurt being attacked by Jeff Jarrett. Fortune beat Kurt, Abyss came down with a 2×4 nailed to his spinal cord. Abyss said that would be attempted murder and Abyss would be paralyzed from neck down. He mentioned Crimson said They are coming, Flair screamed back, Kurt cleared the ring.

– Nash said what reason was he coming in for? Kurt can beat them on his own so he didn’t see a reason for him coming in for. He said it was the end of his career. Nash said him coming in the following week, 800 people on Monday. Nash said if it was the last thing he could do, would he do that or go to Boston at the Rumble.

– Hosts mention that Nash was trending on Twitter even though he was in the ring for 2-3 minutes. Whether they would see a KLIQ reunion at WrestleMania weekend, Nash said he talked to Waltman. Nash said he’d be there.

– Nash’s opinion of Wade Barrett? He says what are the odds of Nash bashing Barrett on Twitter and getting eliminated at the rumble.

– AJ Styles and Robert Roode. Nash says Roode is a babyface, but plays a good heel. Nash says AJ is a great talent. Nash said it was the right move for him to finish where he started.

– Nash says Shawn Michaels was largely responsible for him getting into the WWE to begin with. He wished to have one last match with HBK, but he doubts that will happen. He says “Paul” (Triple H) is in the corporate side. He said WWE is moving with the youth movement and that nothing appears to be changing with that.

– A question is asked about Sting and whether Nash talks to him. Nash says he would selfishly love to see Sting in WWE. That would be a great headline match. Nash says Sting has done so much and he would like for him to work for WWE just to see how different it is to be there, to work for the machine. Nash said it’s the third time he’s with WWE. He says being in a WWE arena is like a Happy Madison movie because of the way Sandler would take care of you during the movies.

– He put over the big wrestlers when asked about which were his favorites: Sheamus, Jack Swagger, and a few others and elaborated on it.

Jeff Hardy Title Win Scrapped, More On Nash’s Departure

– Former TNA champion Jeff Hardy was scheduled to win the TNA World Title back on last week’s episode of iMPACT, had his court case been settled during his most recent. Hardy’s case was delayed yet again, and TNA management decided it was best to hold off on putting the title back on Hardy until his legal issues are resolved.

The current plan is for Jeff Hardy to challenge Mr. Anderson for the title in a ladder match at Against All Odds.

Dave Meltzer reports that Kevin Nash actually signed a contract with TNA in January but Dixie Carter signed his release on the Friday before WWE’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

– Speaking of Nash, he appeared on X-Pac’s show on Cowhead.tv and said that the “tipping point” that lead to him leaving TNA was the recent episode of TNA iMPACT! where Kurt Angle destroyed the members of Immortal. Nash said that after that episode of iMPACT, he and his wife felt that returning to TNA was not in his best interest. Nash said that a call from WWE’s John Laurinaitis next made the decision to back out of his TNA contract and return to WWE an easy one.

– Hulk Hogan does voice work in a new animated movie called Gnomeo & Juliet.

The huge reaction he got at the Royal Rumble:

“I wanted to take a steal chair and just sit in the middle of the aisle and take it all in because I said it’s going to be all down hill from here. It couldn’t have been more special. Thank god I was wearing a condom.”

His business relationship with Dixie Carter:

“If I had have walked into an office and went to Dixie and said this is what I want to do and this is what will make me happy, Dixie would have signed off on it in 30 seconds.”

Dixie’s reaction to him in the Royal Rumble:

“She was out of the country. I guarantee you she was happy for my response and happy I was happy.”

Triple H not working the Rumble:

“Paul had no desire at that point [to get in the ring]. He is working in the office and walking around with a clipboard. Vince and Steph feel the company needs his mind more than his body right now. Whenever he comes back though, it’s a game changer. When I found out he [HHH] wasn’t working, I asked if it was the buddysystem [not wanting to steal a pop from Booker T or Nash] and that’s how I took it.”

Whether he has one last run left:

“It’s up to creative. Every guy in the business thinks they have one last run, and the truth is, they do – if creative is in compliance with that. I told them I’d go as hard as I can for as long as I can until I break down.”

His current status:

“I could go back to TNA and wrestle for them tomorrow, they just can’t put me in a video game – oh wait, they don’t have one. They couldn’t do a doll, well they could. They could do a doll [like they did before] with a likeness that Vince owns. They [TNA] put out a doll of me with long brown hair. My contract with them said they would market my TNA likeness. I asked Terry Taylor to show me a picture of when I ever worked in TNA with long brown hair. Jakks said, ‘Sorry it was a dye problem from China.’ You have to look at the doll. Jakks had a 2003 Ruthless Aggression Diesel doll and they slapped a Nash logo on it with the same Diesel head, and it was just bogus man.”

His new WWE Legends deal:

“It has verbiage that says you are subject to wrestle. I looked at it as, I’m making a 5 year commitment that I’m not going anywhere else, and if I do they can’t market any part of me.”

Mistico Signs With WWE

– As previously reported, WWE has finally signed Mexican lucha libre star after several years of on-and-off talks. According to SuperLuchas.net, the huge push that WWE is giving Alberto Del Rio was one of the major factors that led Mistico to pull the trigger on joining WWE. Mistico has said publicly that he wishes he would have signed with WWE when he first had a chance to back in 2007.

Mistico, one of the top babyface stars in Mexico, is eager to make a name for himself in WWE, which will give his character the most exposure its ever received by a long shot. WWE has been expanding its presence in Mexico in recent years and especially with Rey Mysterio’s career winding down in the next year or two, the time was right for both sides to make a deal.

– Kevin Nash has been very active on Twitter this week, answering lots of questions about why he decided to leave TNA for good and re-sign with World Wrestling Entertainment. On Wednesday night, Nash offered some advice to TNA President Dixie Carter, writing:

“My 1st priority is WWE. Whatever they need and want me to do, I will. Vince brought me back. Boston crowd showed me the love. I bleed WWE!

I’m not kissing Vince’s ass. I’m thanking him for letting me go out the way I feel I deserve to. Ever have a dream come true? I just did.

When wcw took over the WWE for the short time we did, it’s bc Ted Turner paid HUGE $ for talent. Wanna put tna on the map, Mrs. Carter? Set aside $50m. Start with Cena and work backwards. Don’t walk into a Mercedes showroom and ask what new AMG S-63 I can buy for $25K.”

Kevin Nash Bogs About Why He’s Ending His Career In WWE

WWE superstar Kevin Nash created a new blog on Tumblr.com this week and posted his first entry today. Nash, who returned to WWE as Diesel at the Royal Rumble and signed a legends contract this week, spoke at length about his decision to leave TNA and finish his career in WWE.

Here’s Nash’s first blog:

“I finally moved on to you……

The most significant aspect of anyone’s life is the relationships that they build. Sometimes in personal growth and closure, these relationships are strained, if not broken. In this past week, I had to break relationships in order to receive closure in others. I would first off thank Jeff Jarrett for inviting me back into the wrestling world upon my completion of ‘The Longest Yard’. Alot of people don’t realize what a close relationship Jeff and I have. In the dog days of the WWF, I’m sure we traveled more than a million miles together. What he went through with the loss of his wife Jill and the happiness he’s now found, while trying to keep TNA together, was amazing to witness. What Bob Carter did to make sure this dream stayed alive, I can only say Sir you have my utmost respect. To Serge and Dixie, who I consider my friends, I wish them continued success. And now the hardest part. To the Boyz, that means you too Knockouts, we’ve laughed, cried and bitched all along knowing how lucky we were to be pro-wrestlers. So few people get to truly go to work and do what they love. Me leaving TNA was a decision my wife and I made. For 23 years my wife has put up with this shit of ME making decisions of everyday life. 14 of those have affected my son. After 3 yrs of self doubt and thoughts of quitting the business, I met Vince McMahon and within 24 hrs of helping Shawn Michaels win the ICC, I MEANT something. And I haven’t looked back. The glass is way less than half full. My wife and I had a long discussion and I told her how important it was for me to end my career where I began. I think it took her 2 seconds to agree. I don’t know how many of you have seen Vanilla Sky. Don’t know if Boston was real or lucid dream. When they chanted Diesel, it sure as hell felt real for ME! You make decisions in life, sometimes never getting proof that it was the right decision. The crowd in Boston on Sunday night assured me that I MADE THE RIGHT DECISION. I can’t thank the WWE enough for making it happen for me. My true friends at TNA text and called with their love and support w/in hours. Don’t think it will ever be forgotten. Didn’t realize how much I missed Diesel.”
