Kevin Nash Explains Why He Did Not Accept An Invitation To RAW 30

Last Monday, WWE celebrated its 30th anniversary of RAW with a showcase of memories and moments from the past.

Amidst the festivities, several legends appeared backstage and in front of the live crowd, including The Undertaker, Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, D-Generation X, and many more. Through the sea of former superstars, one name was notably missing: Kevin Nash.

Nash, a founding member of the NWO, recently confirmed he received an invitation to RAW 30, but ultimately declined it.

“Mr. [Bruce] Prichard reached out and asked if I would like to come,” he recalled on Kliq This. “I just said, it’s a really long day to go to TV when you’re doing something, actually on the active roster and going to have a match or a segment. It’s like building the pyramids if you’re going to be playing a hand of cards.”

RAW 30 “Not Worth The Aggravation”

Kevin Nash

Though he is friends with DX, Kevin Nash believes he wouldn’t fit have fit in with the on-screen segment involving Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Road Dogg, X-Pac, and Kurt Angle as they were confronted by Imperium. “I can’t be out there with DX because I’m too much of a d***,” he said. “They all said they were too old. I would have headbutted that big motherfu**er (GUNTHER) in the forehead. I’m not backing down, so send me home, I’m not doing that.”

“I’m glad I didn’t go because I don’t see where the f*** I would have been used,” Nash revealed.

On top of the uncertainty with his possible placement on the programming, Nash noted that he didn’t “know anybody on the crew really anymore or any of the workers or anything else.” In addition, he emphasized that he “really” didn’t want to suffer through the toll of “people that I don’t know coming up to me saying, ‘I’m sorry to hear about your son‘. Why would I put myself [through that]?” he said.

“I know what the payday is going to be. The payday is going to be…” he trailed off. “Not worth the aggravation,” co-host Sean Oliver filled in the sentence, as Nash agreed.

Kevin Nash Assures Fans He’d Never Harm Himself After Recent Comments

Kevin Nash has come out to assure fans he’d never do harm to himself following his recent comments that got some worried.

As we’ve noted, Nash sadly lost his 26-year-old son unexpectedly late last year. Recently, Nash made a comment to the affect of wanting to put a gun in his mouth after being asked about how he’s dealing with everything.

These comments got some people concerned, with some worried that Nash might attempt to harm himself given everything that’s going on at the moment. However, taking to a recent episode of his Kliq This podcast, Nash assured fans he has no intentions of harming himself.

“Last week I made some off-color remarks, but for anybody out there, I would never do anything to harm myself. I guess people don’t realize I have a wife that’s been with me for 35 fu**ing years. It’s never been about me. I drive a fu**ing ’05 Mustang.

“I know it sounds like that skit from fu**ing Saturday Night Live where, ‘I drive a Dodge Stratus’, but I drive a 2005 Mustang. I don’t give a fu**. It’s never been about me. It’s about the people that I take care of and that’s your job. Your job is to provide and protect. That’s your job.”

Kevin Nash

Authorities actually performed a wellness check on Nash following his comments. However, in hindsight, it appears that the WWE Hall Of Famer was simply being sarcastic in his comments.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Kevin Nash and his family during this difficult time.

Kevin Nash Shares the Changes He Wants to See WWE Make

WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash has some suggestions for changes the promotion’s new regime could make.

In July, Vince McMahon retired as WWE’s CEO, Chairman, and Head of Creative, due to allegations of misconduct with female employees.

With McMahon gone, Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan serve as Co-CEOs, with Stephanie as Chairwoman, while Triple H is Head of Creative.

Changes

Under the new regime, several released Superstars have been brought back including Bray Wyatt, Karrion Kross, and Dakota Kai among others.

During the latest Kliq This, Nash gave his suggestions for improvements WWE can make now with Vince McMahon, not a factor.

“I would have fewer house shows. They’ve already shown for a fact, during COVID that it was more profitable for them not to do live events.”

Kevin Nash.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, WWE went for over a year without Live events due to rules regarding social gatherings.

Production

Fewer WWE Live events isn’t the only suggestion that Nash, a two-time Hall of Famer, has made.

On his show, the former World Champion said that the production quality of WWE’s content could be seriously improved if changes are made.

“Come in on Sunday, and have a call sheet and shoot, you know, have the crew come in Saturday, and get all the locations in the building for all the shots, have a call sheet, come in and shoot two and three camera shots that that production crew could definitely edit and install on Monday. Instead of everything being shot with a single camera and giving it a completely different look. Then, as I’ve always wanted to do, shoot the show like The Larry Sanders Show. When it’s in the ring, it has that hard camera.

“That’s what I would do, then that way they’re the camera doesn’t go back and forth, which tells you it’s a camera. It’s the POV that goes back and forth, and tells you, ‘I’m watching a televised show.’ This is part — It’s the only thing you watch that’s trying to convey any kind of a story that is shot with a single camera.”

Any changes to WWE’s production would have to be approved by Stephanie, Triple H, and Khan before being implemented.

‘President Helmsley’ – Kevin Nash Says Triple H Would Make a Great Leader of the United States

Washington. Lincoln. Kennedy. Obama. Helmsley?

Could Triple H  one-day trade in his throne on top of WWE for a seat in the Oval Office? Kevin Nash isn’t against the idea.

Speaking during the latest Kliq This, the two-time WWE Hall of Famer said he believes Triple H would make a fine President of the United States one day and explained why.

“You can p*ss him off, but he doesn’t get p*ssed off like a normal dude. Especially once he got where he was a Senior Vice President, he just couldn’t. He always had control where the rest of us didn’t. Paul’s very level-headed.”

Triple H

Triple H in 2022

Triple H could make an excellent President (at least according to Nash,) but the former World Heavyweight Champion is kept plenty busy in WWE.

After losing control of NXT last year and suffering a cardiac event, the Game announced his in-ring retirement earlier this year and left his boots in the ring at WrestleMania 38.

In July, Triple H was appointed WWE’s Head of Creative, replacing his father-in-law Vince McMahon, and would later replace John Laurinaitis as Head of Talent Relations.

The McMahon Family and Politics

While Triple H likely isn’t making plans for the oval office, the McMahon family has never been far from politics.

In September 2009, Linda McMahon announced her candidacy for U.S. Senate, seeking to be the representative for Connecticut.

While WWE never publicly endorsed McMahon on-screen, the promotion did launch the political ‘Stand Up for WWE’ campaign, alleging that fans had been turned away from polling centers for wearing wrestling merchandise.

After earning the Republican nomination, McMahon lost to Democrat Richard Blumenthal in the 2010 election.

Linda hinted immediately after her loss that she would run again in 2012, and did just that, but lost to Democrat Chris Murphy that year.

Kevin Nash Reveals How Much WWE Paid Marvel For ‘Hulk’ Trademark

Kevin Nash has revealed how much WWE dished out to Marvel for use of the “Hulk” trademark for Hulk Hogan.

The WWE Hall Of Famer took to his “Kliq This” podcast and shed some light for fans on the trademark issue side of the professional wrestling business. Nash dove into the complexities of trademarks, including how some stars, such as 16-time World Champion John Cena, have their real names trademarked by WWE.

“It should only be able to be registered, but not trademarked. And then you would have to sign a merchandising agreement. I don’t see how they can trademark it.”

nWo
(via WWE)

Having been a part of one of the most famous professional wrestling factions of all time, the NWO, Nash was asked by co-host Sean Oliver how valuable the faction’s trademark is. Nash said that if he had the option to own the NWO trademark or his own name, he’d choose the NWO.

“[WWE] owned the nWo. So we got a percentage of that from the WWE. The faction makes way more money than “Kevin Nash” does. The nWo was the homerun. If I could pick owning either the nWo trademark solely 100%, or owning “Kevin Nash” in the realm of wrestling? I’ll take the nWo.”

Finally, Nash noted that WWE actually had to pay Marvel for the use of the “Hulk” trademark for Hulk Hogan – who was one of the most famous people on the planet during his run atop the WWE mountain.

Apparently, the professional wrestling juggernaut had to dish out six figures for the use of the trademark.

“It was Marvel, and [WWF] paid, I wanna say one hundred grand, to use the Hulk trademark.”

Kevin Nash Claims Larry Zbyszko Got Stoned for WWE Hall of Fame Induction

Larry Zbyszko’s contributions to the wrestling world earned him a WWE Hall of Fame induction in 2015, but the ‘living legend’ was reportedly high throughout the ceremony.

On the night before WrestleMania 31, Zbyszko was inducted by his good friend Bruno Sammartino, who had been inducted two years earlier.

Zbyszko’s induction was part of a stacked class, which included the late ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage, Rikishi, Alundra Blayze, The Bushwhackers, and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Stoned

That year’s WWE Hall of Fame also saw the singles induction of Kevin Nash for his work in WWE as Big Daddy Cool Diesel.

Speaking on his Kliq This podcast, Nash recalled Zbyszko mellowing out for his induction speech.

“I went into the Hall of Fame. So it’s 2015 and [Mean] Gene’s next to me, and Zbyszko had gotten stoned before [the show began.] Larry had gotten stoned before he went out and did the Hall of Fame. Of course, you think in your mind ‘I’ll get stoned and I’ll be really entertaining.'”

While Zbyszko believed that being high would help, Nash gave Mean Gene’s scathing review when the three were on a plane to leave San Francisco.

“I’m in [Row] C. Gene is D and Larry is on the other side of Gene in the aisle. And he says ‘how did I do Gene?’ And he replies ‘it was the absolute drizzling sh*ts. The worst thing I’ve ever seen in my life Larry.’ And Larry was waiting [for Gene to say something good about the speech] and he just turned back to me and was talking.”

“It was the absolute drizzling sh*ts!”

Mean Gene Okerlund’s review of Larry Zybszko’s WWE Hall of Fame induction.

WWE and Marijuana

WWE has always had an interesting relationship with marijuana and has both allowed and banned the substance multiple times.

Speaking about his own experiences, Nash recalled being able to use it during his first run, and not being allowed when he returned in 2002.

“The first three years we could smoke. The three years after that we couldn’t smoke. WWE had the ‘no steroid, no marijuana’ policy.”

Kevin Nash.

Nash also named his favorite person to smoke with, and picked someone fans wouldn’t have expected.

“One of my favorite people to hang out with on the road that I never got a chance to do much with is Chris Masters. The Masterlock. We were at a signing somewhere in Jersey. He made a pipe out of an apple and he and I got whacked! We ended up in lookers drinking Coronas. It was a good signing, a couple of hours. We went up the room and got baked.”

In April 20, of this year, it was reported that WWE would no longer be penalizing talent for the use of marijuana.

Small, But Talented: Kevin Nash Reacts to Logan Paul in WWE

Logan Paul turned in one hell of a performance against Roman Reigns earlier this month at WWE Crown Jewel. Paul left it on in the ring on November 5, proving that he’s got what it takes to ‘hang’ with the industry’s top star.

The 27-year-old influencer tore cartilage and ligaments in his right knee during the match. The injuries will keep him out of the ring for several months, but Paul is already training for his WWE return. His brother Jake Paul says his recovery is going better than expected and The Maverick is already plotting his next big match for WWE:

WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash commented on Paul’s Crown Jewel performance on the latest episode of his Kliq This podcast. Nash, who was billed at 6’10” during his active career, says he was a bit surprised how small Paul looked compared to Reigns.

I’m gonna say this… I’m gonna get browbeaten because God forbid if Kevin Nash was to let anybody that wasn’t nine feet tall wrestle… I didn’t realize he was that small. He was noticeably smaller than Roman Reigns.

– Kevin Nash on Logan Paul

Kid’s Talented

Logan Paul Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns has a muscular body, while Paul has a more athletic stature, but it’s not like Reigns (6’3″) towered over Paul (6’2″).

Nash did say, “the kid [Paul] is talented,” and it helped that Shawn Michaels helped train him for the match. However, Nash was hung up on Paul’s size.

“Look at the size of Roman’s head next to his,” Nash continued. “That’s the size of a man. He can have an eleven inch penis but if it’s like a number two pencil, that’s one thing, but if it’s got a head like a softball, you’re still gonna be the man. That looks like Hunter working against me, size-wise.”

All that aside, Logan Paul is planning to continue his WWE career when his injuries heel. Shortly after his match at Crown Jewel, Paul said he plans to be a WWE Superstar for a long time.

Why AJ Styles Once Told Kevin Nash to ‘Go F*** Himself’

AJ Styles is currently involved in a bitter rivalry with the Judgment Day. Finn Balor spent a few weeks trying to recruit Styles to Judgment Day but the Phenomenal One declinded.

The Judgment Day then attacked Styles and it led to Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson returning to the company to reform The OC. The group didn’t have an answer for Rhea Ripley and Judgment Day defeated The OC at Crown Jewel in a 6-man tag.

Seth Rollins issued an Open Challenge this past Monday on RAW and Finn Balor was about to accept it. The OC interrupted and Mia Yim made her return to the company. Mia attacked Rhea outside the ring and aligned with The OC in their battle against Judgment Day.

Kevin Nash on AJ Styles Telling Him to F*** Off

WWE legend Kevin Nash spoke about the Phenomenal One on a recent edition of the Kliq This podcast. The Hall of Famer revealed the advice he gave AJ ahead of his WrestleMania 32 match against Chris Jericho in 2016.

“I remember AJ’s first WrestleMania. He was just like ‘F*** man, I just want to get through this,’ because they ran him ragged. I said no, I said that’s what they do, they rob you of these moments. I said cherish this because one day you’re going to be my age knowing that you’re never going to get out there again, and you’ll wish to God that you savored this moment that you have right now.”

AJ Styles responded by telling Nash to f*** off.

He said ‘Well go f*** yourself.’ I said okay, I was just trying to help.

Kevin Nash Speaks About the Passing of His Son Tristen

WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash is speaking about the unspeakable tragedy that has touched his family. Nash’s son Tristen passed away unexpectedly last week. He was only 26. Nash addressed the situation on the latest episode of his Kliq This podcast.

Co-host Sean Oliver said he heard from Kevin last Tuesday afternoon. Tristen had been rushed to the hospital for what they believed was a seizure.

“The seizure caused a cardiac arrest, said Nash. “He was basically dead in his room on the floor with the EMT working on him, and they got him back, they got him in the ambulance and.. trying to save his life, so.. to the people at Halifax Hospital, doctors and nurses, I thank you.”

Oliver brought up that Tristen wasn’t feeling well in the days prior to his passing. Nash said they both decided to stop drinking alcohol. The effects of abstaining from alcohol after periods of excessive consumption can be very serious.

“We both decided that we were going to stop drinking,” he continued. “So, it was a situation where we both went cold turkey. I don’t think either of us felt great, because you stop drinking coffee for a day and you get a headache. I think we were both dealing with it, but also because we’re so close tot he cruise lines here, that Norovirus shit is always prevalent.”

Oliver asked what precipitated the decision for them to stop drinking. Nash said Tristen had had some alcohol-related ‘incidents’ and was hospitalized earlier this year due to his dependency.

“He had this situation, at the beginning of the year, hospitalized for almost 60 days due to drinking. This is my cross to bear. It’s alcoholism. It took one of my dearest friends, it took Scott, and now it’s taken my son.”

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Kevin Nash and his family during this difficult time.

Kevin Nash: Nobody Ever Broke their Neck Until the German Suplex Came Around

WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash’s days in the ring are long behind him, but don’t ever expect Big Daddy Cool to hit, or sell, a German Suplex.

The variation on the traditional Suplex, the German sees a wrestler grab an opponent’s waist from behind, and throw them overhead.

Speaking about the move during the latest episode of Kliq This, Nash said that the risk factor is often not worth it.

“Nobody got hurt until the German. Nobody ever broke their neck when I first broke in. But then all of a sudden that German Suplex comes in, phew!”

Kevin Nash on the dangers of the German Suplex.

The German Suplex results in wrestlers landing on their back and neck and has resulted in injuries.

The Knife Edge Chop

The Suplex wasn’t the only move on Nash’s list, as he also took aim at the knife edge chop.

The chop, while most synonymous with two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair has since been adopted by many wrestlers, and now used on a regular basis.

Nash explained that the move, and how wrestlers will trade it back and forth, spoils the suspension of disbelief for fans.

“Jericho and Danielson had that match in AEW, where I lost count. I just don’t get it. I lost count. Why is it ‘I give you one. You sell it. You give me one. I sell it?'”

“Why is it ‘I give you one. You sell it. You give me one. I sell it?'”

Kevin Nash on the use of the knife edge chop trade offs.

Although Nash doesn’t care for the move, he admitted that he did like the unique twist Ricky Steamboat gave the chop.

“I used to like when Ricky The Dragon Steamboat would send them off [the rope] and drop to one knee and do like a Steven Seagal-ish chop.”

Before Nash entered the world of pro-wrestling, the future Hall of Famer worked as a bouncer.

Addressing his time in the role, Nash said that staff were warned to not use a real chop, due to the damage the attack could do in proximity to a person’s heart.

“Our management just immediately outlawed that [the knife edge chop.] When you chop somebody [for real] that’s right below using a handgun. The list goes ‘Firearm, knife edge chop.'”

Nash did later discuss the chops he received from Ric Flair, and why they worked when others don’t.

“Ric would chop me, but Ric would always follow it up with a punch. Chop. Punch. So the chop could give him a chance to fire his f punch. But they’re not doing that [anymore.] There’s psychology for why it would or wouldn’t work.”

The Piledriver

Piledrivers have become a rarity in more modern-day wrestling, especially in WWE, due to the risk of neck injury.

Nash also noted that the move is too dangerous, and that it is simply not needed to have a good match.

“Piledrivers are another one. I mean that almost paralyzed Steve [Austin.] I’ve never given one. I don’t take backdrops and I don’t give backdrops. There are certain things you have to do in order to f***** have a pro-wrestling match. Like running the ropes is one of them.”

Nash’s comment is in reference to the Summerslam 1997 match between Steve Austin and Owen Hart, where Hart’s sit-out tombstone piledriver would break the Rattlesnake’s neck.

Kevin Nash Says Shawn Michaels Lost It at Vince McMahon Over Road Travel

Shawn Michaels may have worked with Vince McMahon for decades, but the relationship between the two wasn’t always friendly.

During the mid and late 1990s, Michaels, by his own admission, was battling personal demons, which would be a factor in his four-year retirement from wrestling.

Although Michaels would eventually return to WWE after finding God, the Heart Break Kid’s reputation as difficult to work is still remembered years later.

Traveling

During the New Generation era, the WWF tried to maintain ‘kayfabe’ by keeping heels and baby faces apart at all times, in case fans spotted them outside of an event.

For many wrestlers, that meant keeping away from their closest friends, which Shawn Michaels was not ready to do.

Speaking on the ‘Kliq THIS’ podcast, Kevin Nash recalled Michaels exploding on then WWF head Vince McMahon, who quickly backed down.

“They told Shawn[Michaels] that Scott [Hall] couldn’t ride with us, because they were working the matches together. And Shawn, I mean just zero to one hundred went to ‘Mother f***er! You got me on the road 300 days a year and you’re going to tell me who I can spend my time with?!’

“And Vince just went like [raises hands] ‘Woah. I didn’t realize it was that. Okay. If it’s that much of a deal to you three, jeez. Do what you want to do.'”

When asked why McMahon, traditionally someone who had things done his way, was so quick to back down, Nash said that the quality of the Michaels-Hall feud gave them leverage.

“The match was so good. What are they going to do?”

Kevin Nash on Vince McMahon not punishing Shawn Michaels and Scott Hall.

To the Club

It wasn’t just travel arrangements that McMahon tried to have control over, as Nash also had his share of demands from the then-Chairman of the company.

Speaking about his own experiences with Vince, Nash recalled he and The Undertaker being told to keep out of strip clubs as they were babyfaces, and McMahon believed that a face wouldn’t visit such an establishment.

“Me and ‘Taker got called into the office. Principal McMahon told me and ‘Taker that he didn’t want to see us or hear of us being in any strip clubs. He said it wasn’t a good image for Mark [Calaway] and I because we were both babyfaces at the time.”

Despite the strong warning by McMahon, both men defied the order and had a reunion at a club.

“I look straight across from me in the room, I see this long flicking hair, I see a bandana. I look over and I f**king just see ‘Taker. We’re not gonna sit with each other, we’re just like, ‘Oh, so you didn’t listen either.’ It was just acknowledged, like, ‘F**k that, right, man?’”

Kayfabe

With wrestlers appearing regularly out of character on social media, many have argued that ‘kayfabe’ is dead in the modern day.

Addressing the idea, Nash recalled finding out that wrestling isn’t as legitimate as it is portrayed on TV, and whether kayfabe can still exist.

“I knew this sh*t was a work when I was ten. Don’t have a boom mic when you’re doing the shot. I say ‘oh! Boom mic. I’m watching a movie. Oh, he hit him 45 times in the face, and there’s no blood.’

“You’re selling the disbelief that these two guys are going out there and trying to beat each other’s ass. You can tell when you have the people. When you have a hot angle and you have the people and you work stiff.

“You can say what you want about Bill Goldberg but when he was on his streak… people sat up.”

The former WWF Champion also claimed that Edge Vs. Dominik Mysterio on last week’s Raw was able to “hook me in” with how aggressive Edge was following the latter’s heel turn at Clash at the Castle.

Kevin Nash Responds To All Out Reference

WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash has responded to his name being mentioned at All Out.

It all started when the former nWo member reacted to a tweet about NJPW star Will Ospreay having more 5 star matches than John Cena, Kurt Angle and CM Punk combined.

Nash made a remark about how it’s the money these wrestlers draw that matters. This prompted Ospreay to make a joke about Kevin’s previous injuries:

This past week’s Dynamite then saw Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks taking on The United Empire in the semi-finals of the AEW trios title tournament.

Taking note of the exchange between Nash and Ospreay, Kenny included a line about selling more merchandise in his intro on Dynamite before defeating the NJPW stable.

Though this wasn’t the last of it as Kenny Omega once again mocked his arch-rival during his All Out intro. The Cleaner claimed that he might be the new favorite wrestler of Kevin Nash after his victory on Dynamite.

The wrestling veteran took note of this. He reacted to a clip of the intro supporting the former AEW champion’s move:

Will Ospreay has not responded to this latest shot yet but the response from Nash is a sign that the feud between them is far from over.

Kevin Nash Tried To Get The Undertaker To Join the nWo

Kevin Nash reveals what WWE legend he wanted to jump ship to WCW, and join the now deceased company’s top faction, the New World Order (nWo).

The Hall of Famer was a guest on his old boss Eric Bischoff’s 83 Weeks podcast to discuss all things WCW, which is where the former world champion revealed how he had talks with the Undertaker about changing sides during the height of the Monday Night Wars.

Nash states that his pitch to Taker was that he had no bargaining power in WWE as long as he remained under the Deadman gimmick.

“The Undertaker was the one that I was trying to get. That was the one and I’m not saying – I just told him ‘You gotta switch up your gimmick man.’ I said ‘You’ve got no bargaining power whatsoever as long as you stay in that Undertaker gimmick.”

After a temporary hiatus Undertaker would return to WWE as the iconic American Badass character, a completely different tase from the Phenom. Nash says he doesn’t credit himself for Taker’s gimmick change, but does acknowledge that the character was more likely to succeed outside of WWE.

“I’m not saying that made him turn into the American Badass, I’m just saying that American Badass you can take pretty much wherever you wanna go. They had to pay those guys money, if they wanted to keep them they had to pay them.”

On the same episode Bischoff revealed his fantasy booking plans for Undertaker had he joined WCW, which would have seen him oppose the nWo rather than join it. You can read about that here.

Nash also discussed this topic on the latest edition of his Kliq This podcast. The big man was asked about Shawn Michaels potentially being the third-man, an idea that Nash couldn’t even really wrap his head around due to Shawn being the world champion in WWE at the time.

“Shawn just got the world title in the WWE so he’s not coming f***ing anywhere. Two years in after he had dropped it I made a push to get him in but by then they were giving guaranteed money. I thought Taker was a great one. I tried to get Mark to come over.”

He then explained how Bischoff wanted it to look like WWE was invading WCW, so Hulk Hogan being the third-man was the perfect option.

“The thing with Hulk was that Eric’s idea was that he wanted it to look like the WWE was invading Turner. We’re going back and forth with the skits and all this other sh*t…there was nobody that was more branded as WWF (WWE) than the yellow and red Hulk Hogan. “

Kevin Nash: WWE Saudi Money Isn’t Enough To Wrestle Again

WWE Hall Of Famer Kevin Nash seems to have zero interest in wrestling again at this point in his life.

Hall recently took to his podcast, “Kliq This,” to discuss a variety of professional wrestling topics. One such topic being the Last Match of two-time WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair. Nash noted that he wasn’t live at the show, but did watch Flair’s match from home.

The Hall Of Famer actually was at the event before the show started doing meet and greets, but didn’t stick around for the actual match alongside the likes of The Undertaker and Mick Foley. Nash admitted that he didn’t want to stick around in case something physically happened to Flair.

He then addressed the possibility of himself getting back into the ring again. Nash doubled down that he has no interest in competing inside of the ring at this point in his life. He even went as far as saying WWE Saudi Arabia show money wouldn’t be enough to get him back in the squared circle.

“No, I don’t. The f**king thought of my f**king rickety ass body hitting that f**king wood. Like nah man and not even for f**king Saudi money.

“You come with me the half a million bucks let me take two bumps, f**k you. What am I gonna do with that? Let me put that in the bank with the rest of my f**king money I don’t spend.”

Kevin Nash

Nash hasn’t wrestled in an official match since August of 2018. He defeated Flex Armstrong for the Big Time Wrestling Heavyweight Championship. Nash would officially announce his retirement from in-ring competition two years later in January of 2020.

The former WWE Champion is a two-time Hall Of Famer; inducted first in 2015 individually as Diesel, and again in 2020 as a member of the New World Order (NWO).

Kevin Nash Discusses Problem With Raw That Led To Demise Of WCW Nitro

The oversaturation of TV programs is a big problem with wrestling nowadays. Kevin Nash thinks that it’s one of the big issues with WWE.

The wrestling veteran talked about things such as his friend Triple H taking over the WWE creative and more in the latest episode of Kliq This.

Discussing the problems with WWE, Nash mentioned how Raw being three hours long is a big issue. Per Kevin, it’s just too f**king long:

“I think one of the problems that the company has right now is that Raw is three hours long. I thought that was the demise of Nitro when it went three hours.

Three hours is too long, it’s like asking your fanbase every Monday to watch fucking Titanic or Avatar.” said Kevin Nash, “It’s just too fucking long.”

The former nWo member later claimed that he would like Raw to be a mature M-Rated show and be played on Friday nights on FX.

Kevin Nash noted that he is tired of seeing more aggressive language from third graders compared to WWE stars.

What do you think of Nash’s comments about Raw being too long? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.

Former WWE Champion Thinks AEW Feels ‘Dated’

AEW President Tony Khan delivers a different product than what fans are used to seeing with WWE, from production to the booking to the in-ring style. He also caters to hardcore fans instead of casual fans.

The AEW’s product looks more gritty than what you will see on WWE programming.

While speaking on his Kliq This Podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash admitted that he doesn’t watch much modern wrestling but recently caught an episode of AEW Dynamite.

The former WWE Champion noted that the production and feel of the show seemed ‘dated.’

“It just seems…dated? It has a very ‘WCW Thunder’ feel when I watch it.”

Nash was asked if he was specifically talking about the show’s production. Nash said everything and noted it feels like the clear number two.

“It’s almost like a no-borders, ‘Doctors Without Borders’ type of situation over there, and it’s hard for me to figure out who the belts go to, but I don’t watch wrestling that often, and if I’m going to watch a product, just visually … the crystal-clear production, and costuming, and everything else that the WWE gives me, I feel like it’s Cirque du Soleil instead of f*cking, you know, Ringling Brothers.”

Kevin Nash Claims Some Wrestlers Look Like They Can’t ‘Throw A F*cking Punch’

WWE Hall Of Famer Kevin Nash believes that some wrestlers today look like they can’t “throw a f*cking punch.”

Nash took to his new podcast, “Kliq This,” to give his thoughts on the current professional wrestling landscape. The WWE Hall of Famer critiqued that nobody in the business today has any real heat. He also said that nobody truly stands out to him.

While many guys look athletic they also look like they can’t throw a proper punch.

“The thing that I found out or realized was nobody has any heat. There’s nobody on the television show that I look at and say, ‘That person, if this was real and kicked my door down, I’d be like, oh f***.’ They’re athletic but they don’t look like they can even throw a f***ing punch.”

“I realize now that both companies do it when they go to commercial break, the action is in a small box. And I actually enjoy that more because they’re going so f***ing fast on a large screen TV, you’re like, ‘Slow the f*** down!’ It’s too just too fast, nobody sells sh**.”

Kevin Nash & Bryan Danielson See Eye-To-Eye

Nash doesn’t seem to be alone in his thinking. All Elite Wrestling (AEW) star Bryan Danielson said in a recent interview that he’s more impressed by in-ring performers who get the basics right rather than the high spots they can pull off.

“How you view wrestling evolves as you become a bigger fan. When I was in school, I saw Juvie do a 450 splash and I was like that’s the greatest thing I’ve ever seen! Now it’s watching Jerry Lawler punching someone in the face is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen”

Kevin Nash certainly knows a thing or two about being successful in professional wrestling. Not only is he a two-time WWE Hall Of Famer, but Nash is a former WWE Champion, an Intercontinental Champion, and a two-time Tag Team Champion.

Now, retired from in-ring competition, Nash offers his take on the landscape of the business regularly on his podcast.

Kevin Nash Details Events Leading To Scott Hall’s Passing

WWE Hall Of Famer Kevin Nash has detailed the events that lead up to his friend and fellow Hall Of Famer Scott Hall’s passing earlier this year.

Hall passed away back in March after being hospitalized for falling and breaking his hip. His hospitalization resulted in several complications that eventually lead to him being put on life support.

The Hall Of Famer reportedly suffered three heart attacks and was eventually taken off life support. He was 63-years-old at the time of his passing.

Taking to the debut episode of his podcast, “Kliq This,” Kevin Nash detailed the events that transpired before Hall’s unfortunate passing. Here’s what he had to say.

“People probably don’t know the breakdown as far as what happened as far as Scott passing and the timeline. Scott was in lockdown. It was in a little duplex. It was in Smyrna, Ga. Scott was getting Grubhub and had some Chinese take out place that would bring him back Vodka.

“He was making some Kool-Aid. He put the plastic pitcher up to the refrigerator. The ice went in it, but a couple of the pieces of ice as always bounced out and landed on the floor. He went over and stirred it. I’m sure it was Crystal Light because he always ate pretty clean. He was going back to get something and one of those pieces of ice caught his heel. He did the fucking whoopsie daisy and fu**ing landed and broke his other hip.

“He’s in the middle of his kitchen and he’s in so much pain and he can’t move. He tried to move several different times. He can’t move and finally, he passes out. He wakes up and now it’s nighttime and he has no idea. He can see where his phone is by his recliner. He’s in between that and the Kool-Aid. He ends up passing back out, wakes up, and at this point is just like, ‘I’m so dehydrated.’

“He’s got a defibrillator and a pacemaker in his heart. He’s like, ‘I’m going to croak if I don’t get some fluids.’ So he just turned and gutted it back to the cabinet and reached up the two hands and just drank it through the spout sip by sip. Slowly, he got enough to him that he was able to drag himself and he called 911.”

“They came and got him and took him to the hospital. So he went to Kennestone hospital which is like a two out of five star hospital. Scott didn’t have insurance. He needed to get the hip fixed. He had some other problems and some other issues.

“They did some CAT scans. When it would be time to get Scott out of the hospital, he was going to stay with Dallas (Page) and recover there. I got a call on Sunday saying Scott had three heart attacks and it didn’t look good. I tried to get a flight to Atlanta but couldn’t, so I went back to Daytona Beach and then couldn’t get a flight out of Daytona Beach.

“At that point, they said they were going to pull the plug and the doctor said that it would be maybe 10 minutes that Scott would be alive. So before they pulled the plug, all the Kliq guys got on speakerphone and we all talked to him. We all cried was basically all we did. Seven hours later, Scott was still alive (but then died).”

DDP On How Kevin Nash Has Handled Scott Hall’s Passing

DDP has given an update on how Kevin Nash is holding up amid the passing of his long-time friend Scott Hall.

On March 14, Hall died due to complications from a hip procedure. The former WWE and WCW standout suffered multiple hearts attacks after a blood clot got loose. His family ended up taking him off life support.

DDP Talks Kevin Nash Following Scott Hall’s Passing

On a new episode of the DDP Snake Pit podcast, Diamond Dallas Page said that Kevin Nash is unsurprisingly distraught over the death Scott Hall (h/t Wrestling Inc).

“We took it hard. Really hard. But Kev, he took it really hard. Like I took it hard, he took it really hard and you know, it was tough. That last week or so was really tough.”

DDP then said he thinks Nash will be helping Scott’s son, Cody going forward.

“I think there is definitely something there for sure. And Kev, you know, he’s gonna really reach out, and you know, because Kev works every damn weekend because he loves it. He works with whatever damn promoter there is. He knows them all and Cody and I were talking about it.

“I had his sister and Scott’s brother Jeff over for dinner when they were in town here and Cody, I think there is a future for him out there. I think timing is everything and he’s done his time. He’s been to Japan. He’s been to the UK. He just needs a break.

“I think working independents right now, you know, the independent world out there, they draw. And I think Cody Hall, as a name, is a draw to see what he can do, you know? So I think the time, and we talked about this.

“And Kevin is like, like I said, it’s still really, really hard on him so anything he can do to help out Cody, I think he’ll do. It’s just the friend Kevin Nash is.”

Hall was inducted into the 2014 WWE Hall of Fame as his Razor Ramon character. He was inducted a second time in 2020 for his run in WCW, specifically with the nWo.

Scott Hall was 63 years old at the time of his passing.

WWE Reportedly Planned On Using nWo During WrestleMania Weekend

It appears WWE had plans for the nWo during this year’s WrestleMania festivities.

WWE planned for a promotional spot involving nWo members to promote WWE 2K22 (per Fightful). Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and Sean Waltman grace the cover of the nWo 4-Life Edition of the video game.

These plans were in place before the passing of Scott Hall. Hall died on March 14 due to complications from hip replacement surgery. He was 63 years old.

At this time, there’s no word on whether or not WWE will go through with plans for the New World Order following Hall’s death.

Kevin Nash Thanks Bret Hart For His Tribute To Scott Hall

Kevin Nash has expressed gratitude to Bret Hart for his tribute to Scott Hall.

Hall passed away on March 14, 2022 due to complications from hip replacement surgery. He was 63 years old. Hall will be remembered for his Razor Ramon character in WWE as well as helping start the New World Order in WCW.

The wrestling world has reacted to the news of Hall’s passing with warm messages. Bret “The Hitman” Hart had one of those messages on Instagram, expressing his sadness over the situation. He also said he wishes the road life wasn’t as rigorous because he feels it might’ve saved the lives of many of his peers.

“…We’ve lost so many wrestlers from my era, and this is just one more to a list that’s far too long. I won’t blame anyone thing, but I do believe that if the days of wrestling 300 days a year had been kinder and more considerate if we could’ve been home with our loved ones more, many of my old friends and brothers would still be here,” said Hart.

Kevin Nash Responds To Bret Hart

Kevin Nash responded to Bret Hart in the comment section of his post. “Big Daddy Cool” agrees with Bret’s opinion on the rough road life.

“We just had this conversation. I agree 100% the meat grinder hasn’t been kind to the crews that ran 300 plus days. The mental and physical pain of those years scar hard and deep but the men that I shared my life with were such a special breed and many life-long friends. Thank you for the kind words about Scott. I love you Bret honored to call you my friend.”

Nash and Hall were good friends and even formed “The Kliq.” Few can deny that the two changed the game in 1996 when they left WWE in favor of WCW.

Kevin Nash Confirms Scott Hall Will Be Taken Off Life Support

Kevin Nash has posted a grim update on the situation with Scott Hall.

Wrestling fans were hit with some sad news over the weekend regarding the health of Hall. The former WWE and WCW legend developed complications from hip replacement surgery.

PW Torch reported that Scott Hall is on life support after suffering three heart attacks due complications from recent hip surgery.

Grim Update On Scott Hall

Taking to his Instagram account, Kevin Nash has confirmed that Scott Hall will be taken off life support.

“Scott’s on life support. Once his family is in place they will discontinue life support. I’m going to lose the one person on this planet I’ve spent more of my life with than anyone else. My heart is broken and I’m so very fucking sad.

“I love Scott with all my heart but now I have to prepare my life without him in the present. I’ve been blessed to have a friend that took me at face value and I him. When we jumped to WCW we didn’t care who liked or hated us. We had each other and with the smooth Barry Bloom we changed wrestling both in content and pay for those……a lot that disliked us.

“We were the ‘Outsiders’ but we had each other. Scott always felt he wasn’t worthy of the afterlife. Well God please have some gold-plated toothpicks for my brother. My life was enriched with his take on life. He wasn’t perfect but as he always said ‘The last perfect person to walk the planet they nailed to a cross.’

“As we prepare for life without him just remember there goes a great guy you ain’t going to see another one like him again. See ya down the road Scott.

“I couldn’t love a human being any more than I do you.”

Scott Hall and Kevin Nash were close friends and were known as “The Kliq” along with Shawn Michaels, Triple H, and Sean Waltman.

Kliq member Sean Waltman has yet to publicly comment on Scott Hall’s condition, but did post a tweet that featured four photos of them together:

Hall and Nash are often credited with helping WCW gain momentum in the “Monday Night Wars” back in 1996 when they jumped ship.

Along with Hulk Hogan, Hall and Nash formed the NWO. Many agree that the landscape of the wrestling business would’ve been quite different had Hall and Nash re-signed with WWE instead.

We at SEScoops wish Scott Hall’s loved ones all the best during this difficult time.

Kevin Nash Reacts To New Day’s NWO Wolfpac-themed Gear on RAW

Last night on RAW, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston wore black and red NWO-themed gear reminiscent of the Wolfpac. The New Day took part in the tag-team turmoil match for a shot at RK-Bro and the RAW tag team championships.

When the Wolfpac split away from what would eventually become NWO Hollywood in 1998, Kevin Nash, Randy Savage (briefly), Konnan, Lex Luger and Sting were the key members. Nash took to Twitter to comment on New Day wearing the Wolfpac-themed gear on RAW last night:

Big E responded to Kevin Nash’s comments with the following GIF:

Kofi Kingston also responded to Kevin Nash’s Tweet:

WWEShop.com has the New Day’s NWO-themed shirt available for purchase here.

NWO Wolfpac History

Before the Wolfpac ever became an official faction, they were something of an NWO sub-group. Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and Syxx-Pac sometimes referred to themselves by this name. When the Wolfpac officially separated from NWO Hollywood in 98, however, Syxx was already gone from WCW, and Hall opted to remain a member of the NWO Black and White faction.

The NWO would eventually reunite after the infamous “Finger Poke of Doom” on January 4th, 1999. Kevin Nash won the WCW World Championship from Goldberg at Starrcade 1998 the week before the this. It was his first of 5 eventual reigns he’d have with the belt.

Kevin Nash on Acting and the “Perfect Role I’ve Always Wanted To Play.”

Listening to Kevin Nash chat with Stone Cold Steve Austin is something special. The two nattered like long lost buddies catching up on old times. During his recent appearance on Broken Skull Sessions, Nash and Austin spoke about a great many things. One of which was acting, which seems to be the go-to backup profession for wrestlers these days.

Kevin Nash admitted that he would love to get into film and tv work. Nash admitted during the talk that opportunities would likely be limited for him, given his size. However, he did reveal there was already a role out there he wanted to claim as his own.

“I love to act,” Kevin Nash said. “Like right now, Rob Zombie’s got the rights to The Munsters. I’d love to play Herman. The thing is, there’s a sensibility and femininity in Herman Munster. That would be if I had to pick the perfect role that I’ve always wanted to play.”

As of the time of writing, there is no official word on who has been cast for any roles in the Munsters reboot. However, it is believed all roles have been filled.

Kevin Nash is No Stranger to the Big Screen

While Kevin Nash is correct, a big man may struggle to find roles in most conventional movies, he is certainly no stranger to the camera.

Nash has acted in films dating back to 1991. Then, he played the role of Super Shredder in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze. In fact, Kevin Nash has quite a number of small productions under his belt.

It’s not surprising that so many wrestlers turn towards acting when their in-ring careers begin drawing to a close. A large part of wrestling is developing a character and performing night after night. Skills that will serve you well on the big screen. Just look at the success of The Rock or John Cena.

Kevin Nash is a talented man, and he is right about one thing. The role of Herman Munster would be perfect for him.
