Kevin Owens Deletes Instagram Account After Nasty Rumor About Him Spreads

Kevin Owens was trending on Twitter yesterday, but not for a very good reason. There were screenshots going around on social media from Owens’ wife, which suggested that she had separated from “KO” because he had cheated on her. Owens then deleted his Instagram account and the rumor continued to spread even more.

It turns out that this story is, in fact, NOT TRUE as Owens’ wife took to Instagram to clear things up. She revealed that her account was hacked and the reason Kevin deleted his was because someone (most likely the same person who hacked hers) tried to get into his account as well:

Owens took to Twitter to comment on the situation:

UpUpDownDown UFC 2 Championship Title Match

As always, Austin Creed has been working on his YouTube channel: UpUpDownDown.  The past week has seen 2 major features uploaded for videogame fans to enjoy.  The first is Round 2 of the Madden 18 tournament which sees RAW’s Jason Jordan take on TJ Perkins.

Jordan previously shocked the tournament in one of the most intense, yet hilarious matches as he beat 3 time champion: Seth Rollins.

TJP destroyed the inexperienced Luke Gallows in his last match-up, and demonstrated solid potential as he takes on Jason Jordan: The Champion Slayer.  Check out the game below:

However, the most entertaining video of the week on UpUpDownDown featured Austin Creed himself, and Jimmy Uso in a UFC 2 Championship Title match.  Although there is no current tournament, Creed has used a similar system to any other championship title in UFC or WWE by hosting championship matches with worthy opponents at any time.

Not only was it an excellent display of skill and talent, there were multiple cameos and moments outside the game which make this a must see.  Check out the title match below, as well as a list of highlights.

5 Highlights From Austin Creed vs Jimmy Uso:

  1. This is taking place in a University Volley Ball Court – WHAT!?  That’s dedication.
  2. Kevin Owens makes an appearance, wearing his Face of America brand t-shirt; he then partially remains in character as he removes the American flag background and stands in it’s place.  Everyone else just accepts this and says “Oh, yeah, it’s his thing”.
  3. They’re told to be quiet, and have to continue the game while trying to whisper – which doesn’t go well as Kofi Kingston, Big E, and Jey Uso are there to provide support and commentary.
  4. Sami Zayn appears, topless, and impress Big E with his New Day like dance moves.  If you watch anything from this video, skip to 6:49 just for this!
  5. The in-game fight is ridiculously entertaining and close (without giving spoilers away).

Do Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn Still Have Backstage Heat?

It was reported last month that Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens were kicked off WWE’s recent European tour. The reason for them being sent home was the pair not feeding for the New Day at the end of their Smackdown segment.

The most recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that the backstage heat on Kevin Owens is now gone but the same can’t be said for Zayn. Unfortunately, that was all the report said.

“It appears that all the controversy regarding Owens from when he and Zayn were sent home is gone, but the same isn’t the case of Zayn”. – Wrestling Observer (no further comment was made)

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn Backstage Heat

The Observer did not make further comment or provide any reasons for why Zayn might still have heat and not Owens.

Unfortunately, the update from the Observer creates more questions than it answers.

Sami says there are no others even close to them and tonight the point was how it was a mistake to leave he and Owens behind. Sami says they just saw Stephanie McMahon and he gives her props for being delightful. The RAW Commissioner then appears. WWE Network Special on Kevin Owens Airing This Week

A WWE 365 special will be airing this Sunday immediately following Survivor Series. The episode will feature former WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens.

Speculation surrounding Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn has been ramping up recently with reports of the WWE locker room being upset with the duo becoming more commonplace. Owens and Zayn were recently sent home from WWE’s tour of Europe early and Owens has had a public back and forth with Randy Orton on Twitter.

Whatever the backstage/locker room is situation with Owens, it is clear that the company are still backing him and with this new feature show there is a very good chance that Owens makes an impact at Survivor Series this Sunday.

Backstage Update On WWE Talent Being Upset With Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn

As we’ve noted, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were sent home from WWE’s European tour last week after a taping of SmackDown Live in Manchester, England. After Zayn’s loss to Kofi Kingston on SmackDown it was reported that Owens and Zayn went against a creative decision and instead “went into business for themselves.” Owens and Zayn returned to work this past Tuesday for SmackDown Live’s taping in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Per a report from Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Vince McMahon planned for Owens to attack Kofi Kingston after defeating Zayn, before Big E and Xavier Woods hit the ring to beat the pair down for the save. Owens and Zayn would then run off before facing The New Day in a Tag Team match the following week. Everything went according to plan, except Owens and Zayn didn’t stay in the ring to receive their beatdown from The New Day.

WWE officials yelled at Zayn and Owens backstage before sending them home. One version of the story going around labeled the entire incident a huge misunderstanding, and Owens and Zayn actually did what they believed they were told to do. Those claims have been heavily shot down by some people, and the common belief amongst talent backstage is that Zayn and Owens went into business for themselves.

This could also help explain Owens’ recent Twitter beef with Randy Orton. A fan Tweeted about getting married in Epcot back on November 11th, and since Owens was taking his family there the same day he decided to stop in and surprise the fan during his wedding reception. The groom of the wedding sent out a Tweet about meeting Owens for dessert at his wedding, to which Owens responded that it was nice meeting him and wished him well in his new marriage. Randy Orton saw this and responded with another shot at Owens’ weight, and it all escalated to a rather personal level from there:

Randy Orton Takes Shot at Kevin Owens For Getting Sent Home

Earlier this month, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were sent home from the WWE European tour. Speculation is they were removed from the tour for not following the script for their segment on last week’s Smackdown.

Owens and Randy Orton have been going back-and-forth with light-hearted insults on social media since this summer. Orton recently got in a good crack about Owens having been sent home from the tour.

It all started when Kevin Owens decided to crash someone’s wedding wearing a Rock t-shirt:

Orton decided to chime in and didn’t spare in his usage of emojis:

Update On Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn Being Sent Home From WWE Tour

As noted earlier this afternoon, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were sent home from WWE’s ongoing European tour.

Owens and Zayn are being disciplined for ‘conduct deemed detrimental to the WWE.’ The issue is that Owens and Zayn were ‘going into business for themselves’ during their on-air segments on last night’s episode of WWE Smackdown Live from Manchester.

Owens and Zayn went off script following Sami’s match against Kofi Kingston. Kevin Owens entered the ring after the match and attacked Kofi as planned. According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, Owens and Zayn were supposed to get beat down by New Day, but they left the ring abruptly, leaving the New Day wondering what was going on.

The decision was reportedly approved by Vince McMahon and they flew back to the United States today. You can watch what transpired below:

Report: Two SmackDown Superstars Sent Home From European Tour

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have been sent home from WWE’s ongoing European tour, according to a report at PWInsider.com. It’s unclear at this time why they were sent home, but the word going around is that it was a result of ‘unprofessional behavior.’

Both men appeared at Tuesday’s SmackDown Live from Manchester, with Zayn competing against Kofi Kingston. Zayn and Owens are not currently booked for Survivor Series.

It’s worth noting that Kevin Owens also left last month’s tour of South America early, later revealing that he had to fly home to deal with a family situation.

We’ll post an update when we get more information on this developing story.

Kevin Owens Responds To Randy Orton’s Shot At His Weight, (Video) WWE Superstars At NBA Game

– WWE Superstar Randy Orton recently took to Instagram to take a bit of a shot at Kevin Owens. Orton posted a picture of a meal he got at McDonalds and claimed he needed the calories because he’s training for a feud with Kevin Owens. “KO” was quick to fire back in the comments section of Orton’s photo, saying he’s also preparing for the feud “I watched paint dry today. Kevin Owens On His Struggles In NXT

Kevin Owens recently joined Edge and Christian for a lengthy episode of their E&C’s Pod Of Awesomeness Podcast where the former Universal Champion talked about a lot of things. Below are some of the highlights from his interview:

On issues with ROH:

“After a couple of years, in 2010, Ring Of Honor went through a shift in management and the people that came in and took over kind of decided that they wanted to push me out. They weren’t fans. Me and Sami both. They weren’t fans of ours and they just felt that we weren’t contributing to the product the way we felt we were. Pretty much every fan watching was into our stuff, but the people in charge weren’t. [a so-called ‘nine-to-five job’] was never for me and my wife knew that. She always supported me and told me, ‘you need to keep going and you’re going to get there.’ And I did. And her support was instrumental, as well as my parents. They were always there and always believed in me.”

On his struggles during his early days of NXT:

“When I got to the Performance Center, I wasn’t sure… So I knew who I was. I’ve known who I’ve been as a performer for a long time, but I wasn’t sure, when I got to the Performance Center, if that’s what they wanted me to be. All I know is William Regal came to a PWG show in California, saw me wrestle, and I was offered a tryout and that whole process took a little while, took a couple of months. I got to the Performance Center a couple of months later and I still wasn’t sure who they wanted me to be in a way because I did the tryout, I cut the promo the way I talk, I didn’t try to be anybody different when I was cutting the promo, and as far as, like, I did a little match there and I wrestled the match my way except for some reason they had me, at the time, I was always pretty much a heel and they had me work as a babyface, so that kind of felt weird. So even in the match, I wrestled my own style, but I wasn’t being myself. And I had, like, this is WWE in my head and ‘I can’t go in my shorts and my cutoff t-shirt’. I had a nice singlet made. I wrestled in the singlet, which was completely not me at that time because I wrestled in a singlet 15 years ago, 10 years ago, whatever it was, 12 years ago, on the independents. But then, eventually, I transitioned into the more street fight-looking gear and that was definitely more me. But in my head, ‘I can’t wrestle in WWE in street fight-looking gear,’ so I wasn’t sure which parts of the tryout they had liked: was it the promo that was entirely me or if they were they like, ‘no, it’s the way he wrestled’. Like, my mind was kind of playing tricks on me because nobody’s telling me anything concrete and everybody has opinions. Everybody at the Performance Center is trying to help you in their own way and they give you their opinion on what they think will work or what they think you should do.”

How Dusty Rhodes and Christian helped him:

“[Christian] kind of told me, ‘look, you’ve just got to be you’ and that resonated with me. And then, over time, I got to know Dusty Rhodes better. And Dusty and I got closer and closer and Dusty echoed the same thing, so that definitely went a long way in me getting the confidence to just be me. And it’s exactly like [Christian] said, if you go too far, they’ll pull you back, but you don’t want to [not go far enough]. Yeah, exactly. You don’t want to be too hesitant and not give everything you could give. Then, you might be holding back something that they could love. I only got to work with Dusty for 10 months from the time I got to the Performance Center and then till the time I got called up on the road. And about a month later, he passed away. But, man, the time I had with Dusty is invaluable and I’m so thankful for it. I was fortunate to learn from a lot of people throughout my career, but nobody made as much of an impact in such a short time on me as Dusty did.”

Dean Ambrose’s impression of Dusty Rhodes:

“You know who [has] got a great Dusty impersonation, by the way, is Dean Ambrose? It’s unbelievable. Like, obviously now he’s on RAW and I’m on SmackDown, so I’m not around him that much and before that, he was on SmackDown and I was on RAW, so I haven’t been around him for a year-and-a-half, almost two years, maybe, but anytime he would bust it out when we were on the same brand, it would actually, no joke, make me feel, like if you close your eyes, you feel like you’re in the room with Dusty, the way he talked. I swear. I never told Dean this because he probably would have thought it was really weird, but when he would do the Dusty impersonation, it made me feel great because it felt like a little bit of Dusty. It’s weird, but he’s so good! it’s really good. And it’s not just his voice. It’s the way he speaks, even the stories he tells because, obviously, he was around Dusty a lot, so he [has] got the stories down and everything! It’s absolutely fantastic. I like Dean a lot, but it’s definitely my favorite thing about him, his Dusty impersonation.”

Good News Following Kevin Owens Family Situation

Kevin Owens left the SmackDown brand’s weekend tour of Argentina and Chile early to attend to a family issue at home.

Owens thanked fans for their support, noting,  “I’m not sick. I’m not hurt. My family needed me home. Thank you to WWE & the fans in Argentina & Chile for their support and understanding.”

On Tuesday morning, Owens’ wife Karina posted the following on Instagram, stating that things are OK now after one of the toughest weeks of their life.

Whatever the issue was, it’s a relief to learn that everything is alright with the Steen family.

“Thank you all for the kind messages asking if everything was alright. It was one of the toughest weeks of our lives but we are ok now. This guy travelled half way around the world to get back to us and I don’t know what I would have done without him. Best husband and dad we could ever ask for ?”

Kevin Owens Explains Why He Left International WWE Tour Early

Kevin Owens has explained why he left WWE’s tour of South America early.

WWE announced Friday morning that Owens left Buenos Aires earlier in the day and would not appear at the remaining live events in Argentina and Chile this weekend due to “personal reasons.”

Though Owens did perform at Luna Park for Thursday night’s live event in Buenos Aires, he left before the remaining live event dates scheduled for Friday in Argentina, and at the Movistar Arena in Santiago, Chile, tonight and Sunday.

Owens addressed his absence in a tweet on Saturday afternoon.

He wrote, “I’m not sick. I’m not hurt. My family needed me home. Thank you to @WWE & the fans in Argentina & Chile for their support and understanding.”

https://twitter.com/FightOwensFight/status/921802732159332353

At Thursday’s show, Owens lost to United States Champion Baron Corbin and Tye Dillinger in a Triple Threat Match — Corbin retained the United States Championship.

Kevin Owens Pulled From This Weekend’s WWE Live Events

The WWE has announced that Kevin Owens has been pulled from the remaining SmackDown house shows this weekend in Chile and Argentina due to personal issues. Owens competed at last night’s (Thurs. October 19, 2017) live event from Buenos Aires where he lost to WWE United States Champion Baron Corbin and Tye Dillinger in a Triple Threat match:

“Kevin Owens left Buenos Aires today and will not appear at the remaining Live Events in Argentina and Chile this weekend, WWE.com has learned.

“Though Owens did perform at Luna Park for Thursday night’s Live Event in Buenos Aires, he has left before the remaining Live Event dates scheduled in Argentina for tonight, and at the Movistar Arena in Santiago, Chile, this Friday and Saturday, due to personal reasons.”

Owens left Buenos Aires earlier today. We also previously reported that AJ Styles missed last night’s event due to a stomach illness but is still advertised for tonight’s event in Buenos Aires.

Bray Wyatt And Bo Dallas Miss WWE Live Events, Kevin Owens Is Back On Instagram

– Both Bray Wyatt and his real-life brother Bo Dallas missed this weekend’s WWE Live Events fuelling various rumors about their absence from WWE Shows recently.

It’s worth mentioning here that the duo did not attend last week’s Raw tapings either. While Wyatt appeared on the episode through a video package, it was reportedly taped sometimes before the show.

Bray Wyatt hasn’t wrestled since the October 2nd episode of Raw where he was part of a dark match. At this point, there is no news on the reason behind their absence, but we’ll keep you posted.

– After staying away from Instagram for a while due to people trying to get into his account, Kevin Owens is back on the social media site. Below is a video of him telling fans about his new Insta handle:

Kevin Owens Disappointed With His Feud Against AJ Styles

SmackDown Live star Kevin Owens was the latest guest on Edge and Christian’s Pod of Awesomeness podcast, which has recently featured great interviews with John Cena and Randy Orton.

Kevin Owens revealed to Edge and Christian that he wasn’t entirely satisfied with his role in the feud with AJ Styles. Owens stated that he ‘plateaued’ when facing AJ Styles and that he didn’t enjoy the matches as much as some of his other opponents. With AJ Styles considered one of the top performers in WWE and the the amazing programs he had with the likes of John Cena and Chris Jericho, you can understand why Owens is frustrated.

“You (Edge) say you enjoyed the series of matches with AJ and I’m glad you did and hopefully a lot of people did as well but I don’t know if I can say that I did, to be honest.”

Owens’ comment was supported as he explained that, retrospectively, he wasn’t performing as best as he could have at the time.  The former Face of America explained that the transition to working with Shane McMahon gave him a greater sense of purpose as it was much more of a big deal.

Owen’s then had this to say about working with Vince McMahon:

“You know not that many people get to do that with Vince, especially nowadays. If you look at the last five, six years there hasn’t been a whole lot of people who got to physically assault Vince in the way I did. So obviously I knew that was a big deal and I did think that maybe this is what I’ve been waiting for and so far it feels like that was it.”

KO finally said that he believes he has moved on to a new level since being able to physically assault Vince McMahon, and that he’s going to run with it as he moves forward.

Author’s Opinion:

Being able to reflect and evaluate performances is a good skill in any professional, and it is important to note that at no point does Kevin Owens mention or pass blame to AJ Styles for his thoughts and feelings about the feud or his own performance.  KO’s interview on the podcast does come across as a form of self-reflection rather than criticism.

Kevin Owens On If He Was Nervous Before His Segment With Vince McMahon, Appearance Of Blood

The Kevin Owens- Vince McMahon segment from the September 12th episode of SmackDown Live is one of the most talked WWE segment of recent times, especially due to its brutality and the show of color.

During a recent interview CBS’ In This Corner podcast, Owens talked openly about this segment and much more. Below are some of the highlights from his interview:

On the rarity of blood on WWE Programming:

“Blood is a rarity now; it’s something that will happen whether we like it or not sometimes, What we do is very physical and there is just no way around it. Whether it is blood showing up like for example, when I got bloodied up against CJ Parker. CJ Parker was not intending to break my nose, but it made for a special visual and a special moment. Sometimes blood does add to the drama. You can call it a lucky coincidence, although I am not sure if coincidence is the word I am looking for. When it does appear, you mine as well use it for your advantage.”

If he was nervous before his segment with Mr McMahon:

“I was not nervous, I generally don’t get nervous anymore to be completely honest. I feel confident in my abilities; felt confident for many years so I don’t feel nervous. I am trying to think back on the last time I felt nervous; not to say that I am never excited, I am always excited. I always look forward to be going out there. I do get the butterflies, especially in a moment when you’re dealing with Vince McMahon, but that is not necessarily being nervous. I feel that I have great confidence in my abilities, and being in the ring with Vince McMahon was no different.”

On his main roster debut:

“When I showed up on Monday Night Raw and confronted John Cena that first night, to me, I felt like I was exactly where I belonged; this is where I belong. Obviously, two-and-a-half years later I have had a lot more experience in front of the cameras, and in front of the larger audiences, but it goes back to how I had been doing this for 15 years prior to coming to WWE, and I had never compromised who I was. I always had confidence in myself, and I still do. I didn’t feel nervous at all, I felt right at home.”

On how the moment with Vince was special to him:

“I’ve said this before, to my relatives and friends, but there are moments in my WWE career: winning the Universal title, my debut in NXT, my debut on Raw. Winning the Intercontinental title was a huge deal for me, but being in the ring with Vince McMahon and giving him the worst beating he has probably ever taken outside of a wrestling match, but besides receiving the type of reaction when he went bell to bell with somebody, I don’t think I’ve seen anybody beat Vince McMahon to a pulp like how I beat him, but it was special. It was something that will stay with me for a very long time. When I look back on my accolades and the things I had accomplished, when it is all set and done it’ll be on the top of the list for sure.”
