– During an interview with New Orleans’ NOLA.com, Kofi Kingston spoke about his crazy spots at the Royal Rumble:
“The funny thing about it is that a lot of people think that I think about them year-round, and the past three years now, the idea hasn’t come to me until like 12 hours before the event. I don’t put any pressure on myself to come up with anything cool. I approach it like any other match. I don’t know if I’d put one (escape) above another. Like I always say, the greatest trick of all would be to actually win.”

– As previously reported, WWE Superstar Kofi Kingston was off of WWE television this week due to a promotional tour of Saudi Arabia. WWE will make their live event debut in Saudi Arabia in the middle of February.

– WWE Superstar Kofi Kingston is in Saudi Arabia doing some promotional work for WWE. Kingston hosted an anti-bullying rally at the Al Faris International School in Riyadh on Thursday morning.
– Kofi Kingston says he doesn’t care what people think about his in-ring performances.
The latest issue of WWE Magazine (cover-dated January 2014) features the 2013 WWE Magazine Awards and the seven-time mid-level champion was voted by fans as “Most Underrated.” Kingston, however, doesn’t care for the moniker.
“I don’t really care what people think about me,” Kingston remarked to WWE Magazine about being called underrated. “I think if someone’s underrated, that they’re under appreciated. I’m fully confident in my abilities, I know every night, in my mind, that I’m going to have a good match. People feel underrated when they think they’re not getting the credit they deserve. That’s why I don’t care that much about what people think.”
– Bill Apter recently caught up with “Dangerous” Danny Davis, who famously portrayed a crooked referee for the World Wrestling Federation in the 1980s. During the interview, Davis reveals that he now resides in Massachusetts, drives a truck for a living and still even wrestles.
– John “Bradshaw” Layfield mentioned on Twitter that he was doing voice-overs at WWE’s headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut over the weekend.
– Celebrating birthdays are Japanese wrestling legend The Great Muta, who turns 51-year-old, and Jamie Noble, who turns 37. Noble currently works for WWE in a behind-the-scenes capacity.
The official “Nerdist” YouTube channel recently added a video featuring an “All-Star Celebrity Bowling” match between “Team WWE” and “Team Nerdist.”

WWE Superstar Kofi Kingston was recently interviewed by The Telegraph in Australia to promote WWE’s return to the country in August of 2014.
Kingston spoke about becoming a dad eight months ago when his son was born, as well as how physical WWE is. “It is very, very physical and you do get beat up,” said Kingston.
“I’ve had torn cartilage in my rib, seven staples in my head, I’ve had surgery on both my elbows and I have to ice my knee all the time or it just swells up. There is a lot of intense training that goes into it – in and out of the ring. You have to maintain a physique make sure you do cardio.”
Apparently the WWE creative team completely forgot about the “Christmas Bounty” movie coming out when they made the call to turn The Miz heel on RAW a few weeks ago.
Apparently the reason that they gave Kofi Kingston some heel heat at the Survivor Series Kickoff Show in their followup match, with the idea being “both guys were stressed out” instead of simply one guy turning on the other.
WWE has added the complete Survivor Series “Kickoff Show” that aired prior to the pay-per-view on Sunday night to their official YouTube channel.

– WWE Superstar The Miz finally made his official heel turn on this week’s “RAW Country” edition of WWE RAW. Miz, who was in a tag-team match with Kofi Kingston against The Real Americans, refused to accept Kingston’s tag at a crucial point in the match. Miz jumped off the apron and left Kingston hanging. Miz had been teasing a heel turn throughout the entire WWE European tour the past few weeks.
– Big E. Langston defeated Curtis Axel to become the new WWE Intercontinental Champion on RAW this week. The two had been scheduled to compete several times, including the last pay-per-view Kickoff Show and an episode of WWE Main Event, both of which ended up being cancelled at the last minute.
– While still unofficial, it appears as though the six-on-six confrontation featuring The Wyatt Family and The Shield vs. CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, Goldust, Cody Rhodes and The Usos on Monday’s RAW was the beginning of the build towards a traditional elimination match with all twelve men at the WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view on Sunday, November 24th.
– According to reports, WWE Superstar Damien Sandow is currently being groomed for a top position in the company. Sandow, who was given a win over Kofi Kingston on RAW on Monday, recently cashed in his Money In The Bank briefcase unsuccessfully against current World Heavyweight Champion John Cena. Since then, company officials within WWE are starting to work Sandow into a top-tier position.
WWE’s official Twitter account announced this afternoon that Intercontinental Champion Curtis Axel will be unable to compete tonight in the WWE Hell in a Cell Kickoff Match after sustaining an undisclosed injury. According to WWE’s official website, following a second evaluation by medical personnel, he was not cleared for in-ring action.
In place of the scheduled Intercontinental Championship between Axel and Big E Langston, Kofi Kingston will face “Mr. Money in the Bank,” Damien Sandow in a singles match.
It would appear that Langston is not being left out in the cold, as the website is teasing a possible appearance at the pay-per-view. The website states, “With this Kickoff Match taking place on the same night as John Cena’s momentous return to action to challenge Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Championship, what is going through Sandow’s mind as he carries his coveted Money in the Bank contract into Miami’s American Airlines Arena? Also, now that Langston is no longer scheduled to compete, how will the rising star look to make an impact tonight at WWE Hell in a Cell?”
– On this week’s edition of MLW Radio, Konnan revealed that some people in WWE feel CM Punk has a “big head.” He is not the only talent perceived in that regard by co-workers as the former WCW competitor said a Total Divas star carries that reputation as well.
Having trouble remembering her name, Konnan states, “The other one that has a big head was…who I always used to bury and now I’m glad I did is uh…the one that was…I forgot her f****** name. The one that was dating…Ariane. Remember Ariane, from the Divas?”
He did not add further details, but indicated that unlike Daniel Bryan, Cameron, who appears under her real name, Ariane, on the E! scripted reality show, has let fame get the best of her.
– Kofi Kingston answers fan questions on this week’s edition of WWE Inbox as the Raw Superstar reveals his first job, the origins of Trouble in Paradise, and his dream opponent.
– The official WWE website has issued a poll asking fans whether it is too soon for John Cena to return to action. With over 40,000 votes cast, 45% say “No. Cena has overcome injuries before. He knows his body and when he’s ready to return.” 36% say “yes” and 20% say “not sure.”
Following the televised portion of Monday’s WWE RAW, which ended with Big Show knocking out WWE COO Triple H, WWE Superstar Daniel Bryan continued his celebration. Bryan went as far as to steal the suit coat off of HHH’s back and wear it as he continued his celebration standing on top of the announce table to a loud “Yes!” chant from the crowd. Bryan also took JBL’s hat and put it on.
After that, the post-RAW dark match took place, which featured Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton. The following are results from that bout:
-Daniel Bryan def. Randy Orton. Bryan picked up the victory over Orton, and after the match, The Shield ran in to beat up Bryan. This led to Kofi Kingston, Cody Rhodes and Goldust coming out to make the save.
-According to one source, there is a chance the rumored bout between Bray Wyatt and Kofi Kingston at the WWE Battleground pay-per-view this Sunday could see a last-minute change to a six-man tag match featuring Kingston and The Usos vs. The Wyatt Family.

A new match will be announced for Sunday’s WWE Battleground pay-per-view event during tonight’s episode of SmackDown (which has already aired in Australia) – this Sunday, Kofi Kingston will take on Bray Wyatt.
An angle setting up the match took place on Monday’s Raw, as Wyatt and his henchmen interrupted Kingston’s victory celebration over Fandango, prompting the four-time Intercontinental Champion to seize a steel chair.
The updated line-up for Sunday’s pay-per-view event taking place in Buffalo, New York at the First Niagara Center is as follows:

Dolph Ziggler, Kofi Kingston, Zack Ryder, The Prime Time Players and R-Truth were among those, in-character, who provided responses as to why they got involved. Santino came out first, to a huge reaction from the fans in attendance. Out next was JTG, who will be his opponent in this one-on-one contest to open this week’s WWE Superstars taping. The match was kept relatively short and was mostly a comedy match, with Santino picking up the pinfall victory after hitting the Cobra on JTG.
-Kofi Kingston defeated Drew McIntyre via Pinfall.
Kofi Kingston came out first to a nice ovation. Out next is his opponent, 3MB member Drew McIntyre. A lot of back-and-forth offense in this one, with several near falls. The finish came when Kingston hit his Trouble In Paradise kick on McIntyre for the 1-2-3.
-After those two matches, the WWE RAW announce team of Michael Cole, Jerry “The King” Lawler and JBL made their way to ringside. That ends this week’s WWE Superstars taping.
