Talking about his toughest opponents in the ring, the former Impact Wrestling star said that he found the likes of John Cena and Steve Austin to be tough but his toughest opponent was Chris Benoit:
“Austin was tough…Cena was tough, too. But Benoit was the toughest. It was like wrestling myself when I was in the ring with him.”

On Sunday, the former SmackDown Tag Team Champions wrote the following warning to the roster:
“Anyone on #SDLive…singles, tag teams, y’all already know. Don’t be surprised. Don’t act new. We’re still the only tag team. The #TruTagTeam. #Welcome.”

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle recently did a Q&A on Facebook and commented on a number of interesting topics. Right off the bat, one fan asked him about which NXT star he’d like to wrestle. The WWE Legend stated, “Velveteen [Dream] and [Aleister] Black. Both have amazing futures if they stay healthy.”
Two weeks ago on an episode of Monday Night RAW, there was a battle royal that served as a qualifying match for the World Cup tournament that takes place at WWE Crown Jewel that featured several jobbers and Baron Corbin. WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle recently took part in a Facebook Q&A. The Olympic Gold Medallist answered questions on his most iconic catchphrase, how he broke his neck in 1996, his craziest Vince McMahon story and more.
“It’s True, It’s True”
When asked about his “it’s true, it’s true” catchphrase Angle stated that “I came up with ‘it’s true it’s true’ when I started in the business and I would make fun of the city that was hosting our WWE Show. Angle clarified further by saying that “I would say something bad about their sports teams. It was always negative but it was also true because the teams would be struggling at that time. So when the crowd would respond to me with “Booooos”. I’d say “But it’s true. It’s true.”
Angle also fleshed out the story of when he broke his neck in 1996, saying that “I broke my neck when I was thrown on top of my head during a match. It broke 4 vertebrae. Another time, I broke my neck when I was hit very hard on top of my head with a chair. Brock Lesnar “brought it” pretty hard that night. I don’t wish that on anyone.”
When asked what his craziest Vince McMahon story was Kurt came up with this gem. “When he and I wrestled on a plane during an international flight. I didn’t want to do it, but Vince was in a crazy mood. So we’d wrestle for a while and stop. Then Vince would attack me again. Then he’d stop. Over and over. I just wanted to sleep. The flight attendant told us to stop, but Vince wanted to wrestle, so we wrestled…. for 4 hours. Lol.”
Kurt was also asked about his return to WWE, Angle appeared on RAW in a Conquistador outfit and claimed that “it sucked. I felt like I was squeezed into a big condom…lol, but it was fun.“
Monday Night RAW earlier this week featured the return of WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle. Several weeks ago, RAW Commissioner Stephanie McMahon placed Angle on a forced “vacation.” There was no given timeframe to when Angle was to be expected back. However, he made his highly-anticipated return to qualify for the WWE World Cup.
Angle was dressed up in a Conquistador costume for a Battle Royal that featured several indy wrestlers with different gimmicks. Corbin inserted himself into the match, but was last eliminated by Angle, who unmasked himself after his victory. Now Angle will participate in the WWE World Cup at the “Crown Jewel” even in Saudi Arabia.
Per a report from PWInsider, Angle will be a part of Monday Night RAW next week. He will also be a regular character going forward. It’s likely they’ll be moving forward with the feud between Angle and Corbin. There have been rumors that Angle and Corbin could face off in a Survivor Series match to determine who will be RAW’s General Manager.
Angle has been training hard for his in-ring return to WWE. Many believe he could finally get his long-awaited singles match at WrestleMania next year in New Jersey.
What do you think will be Angle’s role on RAW in the coming weeks?
WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has made his return to WWE. Angle returned on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw in Rosemont, IL at the Allstate Arena on the USA Network. There was a battle royal that served as a qualifying match for the World Cup tournament that takes place at WWE Crown Jewel that featured several jobbers and Baron Corbin.
Angle dressed up as one of the jobbers and eliminated Corbin to win the match. As a result, Angle qualified for the tournament.
Angle has been off of TV for a few months. If you recall, back in August, Stephanie McMahon announced that she would send Angle on “vacation” before announcing that Baron Corbin would be acting general manager in Angle’s absence.
There have been rumors that once Angle would return to TV, it could lead to a match between Corbin and Angle. It appears that could take place at Survivor Series.
WWE presents the Crown Jewel pay-per-view event on November 2nd, 2018 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia at the King Saud University Stadium and will air on the WWE Network. WWE will be announcing more matches for this show in the coming weeks.

Pwinsider.com is reporting that WWE Hall of Famers Kurt Angle and Lita are those stars. As of this writing, there’s no word yet on if either star will be appearing on the show.

Regarding Angle, he has been rumored to return to the ring at WWE Survivor Series in November for the feud with Acting RAW General Manager Baron Corbin.
WWE is looking to rebound after two straight weeks of lowest viewership numbers in the modern era of the show. Thus, they have already announced three big names that will be appearing.
Those stars include Triple H and WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels, who will talk about the Super Show-Down attack from Kane and The Undertaker, as well as Hall of Famer Trish Stratus to promote her match against Alexa Bliss at Evolution.
WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle recently did aQ&A on Facebookand commented on a number of interesting topics.
Right off the bat, one fan asked him about Eddie Guerrero, and if they were good friends before the former WWE Champion passed away in 2005. Angle and Guerrero had some classic matches for the WWE Title with the most notable match coming as a key part of the WrestleMania 20 card back in 2004 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. “Eddie and I were so close”, Kurt responded. “Like brothers. Some days we got along, other days we fought… literally! We had a fight once backstage 15 years ago. We always treated each other like brothers though.”
Also, Angle was asked if Daniel Bryan was still his dream opponent in the WWE, which he responded by stating that he would love to face the former WWE Champion and SmackDown Live General Manager. However, he understands that Bryan needs to be on board with the match as it takes two to tango. “Daniel IS my dream match. To be honest, I’m not sure that I’m his dream match. It takes two to tango.”

Back in 2003 Brock Lesnar had one of the most memorable botches in professional wrestling history. It all happened in the midst of “The Beast’s” WWE Title match with Kurt Angle at WrestleMania 19. The finish of the match was initially set to be Lesnar hitting a Shooting Star Press on Angle for the win.
Instead, when Lesnar came off the top rope, he missed Angle’s body and landed right on his own head. Eventually, Lesnar went on to win the match and the WWE Championship. Today, Angle is a WWE Hall Of Famer while Lesnar is one of the biggest draws in combat sports.
The former Olympic Gold Medalist took to his Facebook profile and held a Q&A with fans. One of the questions was if he and Lesnar exchanged words after the both at WrestleMania 19. In his answer, Angle revealed the spot was actually his idea:
“Well, it was my idea to do the shooting star…Brock misjudged the flip and landed on his head. It was a scary moment.
“But nothing was said between us about it. The match spoke for itself regardless of the failed flip. If anything, it became one of the most popular Wrestlemania moments.”
What do you think of Angle coming up with Lesnar’s Shooting Star Press spot?
Kurt Angle isn’t sure when his forced “vacation” from Monday Night RAW will be up. The vacation was ordered by Stephanie McMahon a few weeks ago. She became upset when Ronda Rousey attacked her during a congratulatory ceremony for winning the RAW Women’s Title.
McMahon blamed Angle for letting it happen and placed Baron Corbin in charge. He is now the acting General Manager of Monday Night RAW. Angle recently took to Instagram to address the storyline. He posted an old photo of himself, Triple H, and Stephanie McMahon. Here’s what he had to say:
“The same people that I started my career with in WWE, are the same people that have driven me away from WWE. I have not heard a word on when my “vacation” would end. I’m starting to wander if I’m ever coming back.”
PWInsider recently reported that Angle is training very hard for his in-ring return with WWE. It’s currently unknown who the company is planning to pair Angle up with.
When do you think WWE will bring Angle back to TV?
WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle recently did a Q&A on Facebook and commented on a number of interesting topics.
Right off the bat, one fan asked him what he thought was the best thing he accomplished in WWE. This is when is noted that it was proving that a shooter or real wrestler could be the best entertainer of his era. He added, “I was very proud of what I was able to accomplish, whether I was loved or hated.”
In recent years, the company has pushed women’s wrestling heavily and treated them the same as the male superstars. To the point where they will hold their first-ever all-women’s pay-per-view event, Evolution, on Sunday, October 28, 2018 in Long Island, New York at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum and will air on the WWE Network.
Angle was asked about his favorite all-time women’s wrestler. He responded by stating, “Chyna. She broke the barrier for women to not only show their wrestling skills, but she competed with men. She’s the true pioneer.”
There has been a lot of speculation has to why WWE decided to remove Angle from television as Raw General Manager for the time being and have Baron Corbin take over that role.
It’s been reported that there is no heat on Angle and he’s not being written out for any reason beyond the storyline itself. He was backstage at RAW in Toronto last week. Angle has been training very hard a return to in-ring action that is being planned.

Kurt Angle is gearing up for an in-ring return, which explains the storyline that he has been temporarily relieved of his duties as RAW General Manager.
Angle has wrestled several high-profile matches this year. He teamed with Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania against Triple H and Stephanie. Many people considered that the best match on the card. He later wrestled at the Greatest Royal Rumble from Saudi Arabia.
At this time, there is no definitive word on who Angle will feud with when he returns. Baron Corbin or Triple H seem like logical options.
Kurt Angle Put On Hiatus As RAW General Manager
A championship celebration took place on Monday’s Raw featuring new Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey. Women’s Revolution creator Stephanie McMahon and many other top female stars were in attendance. During the segment, Stephanie tried to project Rousey as her protégé, but it ended with the Commissioner in an arm bar once again.
Later in the show, Baron Corbin was quick to put the blame for Stephanie’s assault on Kurt Angle. Stephanie agreed that Angle failed to maintain order, resulting in her own physical pain. As a result, she put Kurt Angle on mandatory vacation and made Corbin the acting Raw General Manager.
As a result, she named Baron Corbin as the acting General Manager of Monday Nights. McMahon hosted a segment to congratulate Ronda Rousey on winning the RAW Women’s Championship.
Rousey would subsequently put McMahon in an armbar during the angle. Backstage, Angle came to check on McMahon, who was being tended to by medical personnel. McMahon blamed Angle for not being out there to control the madness. Corbin then suggested Angle doesn’t have a grasp on his roster.
McMahon subsequently made the decision to order Angle to a forced vacation from RAW. Shortly after the show, Angle took to Instagram to react to the news. He posted the following:
“I’m really sorry that I won’t be on Monday Night Raw for a little while, I enjoyed every minute of it with the WWEUniverse.
“I was told by @stephaniemcmahon that I need a vacation. I don’t know if it’s temporary or permanent, I Hope I will be back sooner than later. Thank you WWEUniverse. Much Love.”
Angle was brought back to WWE last year to be inducted into the Hall Of Fame. Shortly after WrestleMania, he was announced as the new General Manager of Monday Night RAW. Since being appointed GM, however, Angle has had his respective run-ins with “The Authority.”
The former WWE Champion has feuded with Triple H several times. He also partnered up with Rousey to take on “The Game” and McMahon in a Mixed Tag Team match at WrestleMania 34.
Discussion: What do you think about Angle being sent on a forced vacation from RAW? What do you expect from Corbin as acting General Manager in the coming weeks? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below!

Brock Lesnar has a big weekend ahead of him. The WWE Universal Champion will defend his title against Roman Reigns at SummerSlam. All the action goes down live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on August 19th.
In the weeks leading up to the fight Lesnar has had issues with RAW General Manager Kurt Angle. Angle has continuously called Lesnar the worst WWE Champion of all time. “The Beast” hit Angle with an F5 on RAW several weeks ago.
Angle recently took to Twitter to issue out one final shot at Lesnar before SummerSlam. He said he hopes Roman Reigns “kicks Brock’s ass” in New York on Sunday. Here’s what the Olympic gold medalist had to say:
“Brock hardly ever shows up, nor does he defend the Universal Championship consistently. I Hope @WWERomanReigns kicks Brock’s ass this Sunday at SummerSlam. Then the Title will show up on Raw each week, the way it should.”

In a rematch from last week, Sasha Banks and Bayley will take on The Riott Squad (Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan). Banks and Bayley scored the win after putting Morgan down with a combination of a Backstabber into a Bayley-to-Belly.
After picking up a win over “Woken” Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt on Raw last week, Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder said they’re the best team on the planet. The Revival will take on Raw Tag Team Champions The B-Team tomorrow night on Raw.
Two other matches have already been announced for Raw tomorrow night. Ronda Rousey will go one-on-one with Alicia Fox as she competes on Raw for the first time ever, and Bobby Roode takes on Mojo Rawley.
The current Raw GM took to Facebook to answer a few questions from the WWE Universe.
What Consequences Will Brock Lesnar Face For Hitting The F5 On You?
I’m a forgiving man, but I also pick my spots when I retaliate. I will eventually get him back. Or, I could just suspend him after he loses the title at SS. We will see. And he WILL lose the title. My money is on Roman.
Which Current WWE Superstar Would You Like Face From Your TNA Tenure?
Joe, Roode, or AJ. I’ve always felt that those 3 were the best of the best. I hope I get another crack at all of them!
Is There Another Run As Champion For The Olympic Gold Medalist?
I hope so. That’s up to the powers that be. I’m healthy right now. Ready to go if I get called on.
When Will Finn Balor Finally Get Some Gold Around His Waist?
Soon. I think the company wanted to see how durable he was. He’s ready now.
Angle’s Current Role
Kurt Angle’s current role in the WWE is the Raw General Manager. While this role has Angle on television every week, he has shown a desired to return back to the ring. While a full-time schedule is out of the question for Angle, he is willing to do sporadic matches here and there, but like always it is up to the WWE if they want to use him in any wrestling matter.
WWE Hall Of Famer and Monday Night RAW General Manager Kurt Angle recently did another Q&A on his Facebook page. He took various questions from the WWE Universe, one of them asking for his thoughts on Brock Lesnar’s upcoming UFC fight.
“The Beast” returned to the mixed martial arts (MMA) world at UFC 226 when he got into the Octagon and confronted newly-crowned UFC heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier. The pair got into a shoving match and UFC President Dana White later announced Cormier vs. Lesnar would be the next fight for the heavyweight strap.
Angle said that he expects a great fight between the pair “if it happens,” but admitted he prefers seeing Lesnar full-time in WWE:
“Could be a great fight if it happens. I’d prefer Brock full time in WWE though.”
You can check out Angle’s full Q&A on Facebook by clicking this link here.
Kurt Angle often holds Q&A sessions from his official Facebook page and the Raw General Manager talks about various wrestling and non-wrestling related topics there.
He recently held another such session where he discussed the upcoming Extreme Rules PPV and revealed which feud he would book, among other things.
A fan asked Angle which feud he would book if he had full creative control. Answering it, the former Champion said that he would have booked AJ Styles vs. Seth Rollins because both of them are super hot right now.
When asked what Extreme Rules match he is looking forward to the most, the Raw General Manager said that he is excited about the Roman Reigns vs. Bobby Lashley match among others:
“Roman vs. Lashley. AJ vs. Rusev. And the cage match between Owens vs Strowman. They should all be great matches.”
Another fan wanted Kurt’s advice for a healthy and happy life to which he said that the fan should engage with his family more and do events with them.
Apart from this, Kurt Angle also commented on his ECW theme, which sports personalities he considered an idol while growing up and more. You can check out his post featuring the Q&A session below:
WWE Hall Of Famer and Monday Night RAW General Manager Kurt Angle recently held a Q&A on his Facebook page. You can find some of the highlights here below:
Who he’d like to see Kenny Omega face in WWE:
“Seth Rollins or AJ Styles. I’d love a shot at Kenny as well. I have a list of dream opponents that I would like to compete against. These three are in the list.”
If he has any regrets about leaving TNA for WWE:
“I can’t. I had a great career in TNA, maybe better than my WWE career. I had a reduced schedule there. And I wrestled so many greats AJ, Joe, Sting, Roode…To name a few. My body couldn’t hold up to the rigorous schedule in WWE at the time. I always imagine the career I could have had if I stayed in WWE. It would have been incredible, but I couldn’t stay so I can’t keep asking myself ‘What if?'”
Which tag team he’d like to face if he partnered up with Shawn Michaels:
“Tag teams? Cesaro and Shaemus or The Usos. But the most cohesive tag team right now is…The Revival. They are amazing together as a unit. Great things coming from them.”
Should aspiring wrestlers get an education first or start training as young as possible:
“Education first! You’re still young after you graduate college. If you skip college and promise yourself you’ll go back and graduate later on in life, there’s a 99 percent chance you won’t. Get your degree. Then focus on wrestling.”
Is he writing a biography:
“Yes. Someday. I have a documentary I’m making right now. I’m excited to show all of you my entire life story. Stay tuned.”
The 2017 Hall of Famer has been active in the WWE as the Raw GM for some time but hasn’t been in an active wrestling role.
The Wrestling Machine On E
According to the PWInsider.com,
They’re not going to put Kurt in the ring on a consistent basis. He can’t do it. I am sure Kurt wants to be in the ring on a consistent basis but His body is breaking down.
Remember the last six months of Impact and then the couple of indieshows he was doing? It was the same five spots the entire match. He can’t be that Kurt Angle anymore. It’s like Shawn Michaels saying ‘I could come back but people need to understand it’s not going to be HBK.’ It’s not fair to expect the Kurt Angle of 1999 to be wrestling.
Kurt Angle’s Future In The WWE
As of 2018, Angle has only competed twice, at Wrestlemania 34 as Ronda Rousey partner against Stephanie and Triple-H and at the Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia.
It has been rumored numerous times that the dream match between Kurt Angle and Daniel Bryan should happen if ever the two were under the same brand, but due to Bryan’s concussion status at the time the match was not going to happen.
With Bryan cleared to wrestle, it goes without saying that WWE may have plans down the road for the two to lock up before Angle’s official retirement.
Sound Off In The Comments Below On What Stipulation You Would Like To See If Bryan And Angle Were To Lock Up In The Near Future.
WWE Adds One Of Kenny Omega’s Matches To The WWE Network
We’ve recently noted that WWE has been mentioning IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega quite a bit recently to promote The New Day vs. The Elite (Omega and The Young Bucks) at E3 in a Street Fighter V video game tournament.
It seems like WWE is taking things a step further, adding an old WWE match of Omega’s to their Network. Omega was signed to a developmental deal with WWE several years back in the early stages of his career.
WWE has added Kenny Omega vs. Cru Jones from Deep South Wrestling in 2006 to the WWE Network. It’s under the “Hidden Gems” collection on the application. WWE’s YouTube channel posted the following preview:

A fan recently took to Twitter to pay homage to the matches The Undertaker and Kurt Angle have put on together during their professional wrestling careers.

WWE Posts Briefcases For All Possible Men’s MITB Match Winners

A fan recently posted an On This Day GIF of Raw General Manager Kurt Angle’s steel cage match against Chris Benoit during the 11th June 2001 episode of Raw.
Angle took notice of the tweet and replying to it, the former World Champion and current Hall Of Famer claimed that it was the scariest match he has ever had:
Kurt was involved in a rivalry with Benoit in early 2001 and the two had numerous matches over the course of this feud. Their rivalry ended after the Olympic Gold Medalist won a two out of three falls match against Chris at Judgment Day 2001.
Stephanie McMahon Congratulates Ronda Rousey
As we noted before, after the broadcast of UFC 225, it was revealed that Ronda Rousey is going to be inducted into the Morden Wing of the UFC Hall Of Fame.
After the news broke out, Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon took her twitter account and congratulated the former UFC Star for continuing to blaze a trail for girls & women everywhere:
Ronda Rousey will be inducted into the UFC Hall Of Fame on July 5th next month. Prior to the induction, Ronda is set to challenge Nia Jax for the Raw Women’s Championship at the Money In The Bank PPV this Sunday.
While Kurt Angle has wrestled in several matches since his return at TLC last year, the Raw General Manager is yet to participate in a one on one bout on TV.
Though now the former World Champion is teasing a one on one match for the future, that too against a current Champion from the brand he manages.
Kurt recently shared a photo of himself and current Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins on Instagram. In the photo as seen below, he asked who wants to see this bout and the post has started rumors of this match taking place in future:

Kurt Angle made his in-ring return during the TLC PPV last year where he replaced Roman Reigns and teamed up with the Shield’s Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins.
This trio went against the team of Braun Strowman, ‘The Bar’ Sheamus and Cesaro, Kane and The Miz in a 5-on-3 handicap match and the three won the bout despite the odds.
Since then Angle has wrestled in a number of more matches and he last competed in a standard bout at WrestleMania 34 where he teamed up with Ronda Rousey to face the duo of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.
Though Kurt has yet to wrestle in a singles match on TV since his return and after this post, the question is if we will see this bout happening in the future?
WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle recently did a Q&A on Facebook and commented on a number of interesting topics.
Angle has had quote the career while in the professional wrestling business. Angle returned to in-ring competition under the WWE banner at last year’s Survivor Series pay-per-view event in November. The WWE Hall of Famer then teamed up with former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey to take on Triple H and Stephanie McMahon at WrestleMania 34 in a Mixed Tag Team Match.
He also competed in the 50-Man Royal Rumble Match at the Greatest Royal Rumble event. In this Q&A, Angle was asked about the scariest moment in his career.
“When I got knocked out at Summerslam 2000 against Rock and HHH. I don’t remember anything I did that night. Now that’s scary.”
Over the past few years, The Undertaker has gone from being a full-time talent to a part-timer. After years of speculation when Taker would retire from pro wrestling, it appeared that he had his farewell at WrestleMania 33 in the main event against Roman Reigns last year in Orlando, Florida. It turns out that Taker has decided to wrestle again as he took on John Cena at WrestleMania 34 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana on the WWE Network. Then the future WWE Hall of Famer wrestled Rusev in a Casket Match at the Greatest Royal Rumble event. Angle was asked if he thinksUndertaker will wrestle again. “I think he will. He looks great. He’s an amazing athlete.”
Finally, Angle was asked who he thinks will win the men’s Money in the Bank match. This led to him responding by stating, “Honestly? He’s a long shot. But Kevin Owens. He seems to always find a way to shine. A real ass kisser:).”
