  • Kurt Angle Says TNA Dropped The Ball On Two Wrestlers, Impact Post Show With Bobby Roode (Video)

“I think that TNA as a whole might have dropped the ball a little bit with Doug Williams and Magnus, when you look at the talent they have,” said Angle. “They are starting to use Magnus and I believe they have big plans for him. But the reason I thought they might have dropped the ball is because he was so young when he started. They might have thought ‘he’s just a baby, we can wait,’ but four years later he’s still only 25.”

    The interview is available here.

    – TNA Wrestling has posted its latest IMPACT Post Show. Here is the synopsis:

  • Man Accused Of “Scamming” Kurt Angle Releases Statement

Original Story: Kurt Angle goes on Twitter rant over mobile app developer who he says scammed him out of $35,000.

Wafiullah Wahidi, the man who Kurt Angle has been ranting about on Twitter for allegedly scamming him out of thousands of dollars, issued the following statement over the weekend regarding Angle’s accusations:

“I was approached by Kurt Angle to be part of a MMO RPG game that was being developed and completed according to original scope of work with the producers of a movie he was part of.

During that time, I approached Kurt Angle with an idea of a fitness application that would help people reach their fitness and lifestyle goals. At the idea Mr. Angle was very excited and agreed to move forward with the project.

However after the first couple of payments, I was instructed by Mr. Angle to use that money toward the MMO RPG Game being developed and I did as he had requested. At the time I made clear to Mr. Angle that allocation of those funds would take away from the fitness apps. After constant changes to the MMO RPG and no further monetary or resource support from the team involved provided, I decided to terminate that project and count my losses.

Mr. Angle was really sympathetic and agreed with me numerous times that I was put in an unfair situation. Still Mr. Angle and myself agreed to continue with the Fitness Application with no further resources provided. We tried our best but we needed fitness advice, nutrition advice, and other resources that would make the application a success. We were given that information August of 2012 and still it was not sufficient enough.

Please bear in mind that during this time while we were designing and developing this application virtually for free, Mr. Angle and his wife were consistently accusing me of scamming them and each time, I gave Mr. Angle the option to back out of the project as I was starting to feel the pressure and trust was no longer there.

After many calls from a Hysterical Mrs. Angle and barrage of verbal threats one of Mr. Angle’s associates got involved. With his involvement we had the ball rolling.

I advised his associate that after a year, this project was starting to cost me a lot of money and my resources were tied. He agreed that he would send another 1200.00 to cover final development costs, but Mr. Angle did not send those funds for four weeks, at which point the damage was too high to my staff and our business.

Even then we were able to complete the application with minor work needed to be completed, when the day before I was supposed to present the app, I got dozens of twitter messages, emails, calls, and voicemails from a hysterical Mr. and Mrs. Angle. I was called a terrorist, a thief, and a scam artist.

At that point I made a business decision, that I would no longer work with Mr. Angle. I advised that I would pay money owed (if any) after deducting all work done and time spent on the application to Mr. Angle.

After about five days I got another series of hysterical tweets and threats and the twitter attacks began. For anyone who wants to know the truth and see how I have dealt with other (PAYING) customers feel free to contact me at wwahidi@wabasocial.com and you can talk to the clients directly.

I have had a lot of respect for Mr. Angle and I remember as a kid watching him on WWE. It took me by surprise that an American Hero like himself would stoop so low to defame and slander someone publicly. As for Mr. Angle so called lawsuit, the WaBa Social legal team has reviewed everything and we are ready to protect our good name and values against all. Secondly our legal team is in the process of filing suit against Mr. Angle for Defamation of Character and Slander.

  • Kurt Angle Talks Batista-MMA, King Mo-TNA, Working With UFC, Doing MMA Over Wrestling

Here are some highlights of what TNA star Kurt Angle said during a recent interview with MMA Uncensored:

King Mo Getting Into Wrestling and Batista Doing MMA: “Well, I think King Mo is a natural because he has a lot of charisma. He’s has to learn the techniques. He’s actually called me probably every other week asking me when will the soreness go away. Pro wrestling is very grueling, you take a lot of punishment.

“But I think Bautista is a special talent. I think he’s a very tough guy, I think he’s going to do very well in MMA. He wasn’t an amateur wrestler like most pro wrestlers that cross over usually were amateurs wrestlers like Brock Lesnar or Bobby Lashley. But, Bautista will do really well. He’s a tough kid, he’s got a great knockout punch. I know that for sure because I was up in WWE and I’ve seen him have a couple of fights. [Laughs.]”

If He Would Have Chosen MMA Over Wrestling If It Was 1999 Again: “Yes, I would have done MMA if I would have known that it would have blown up the way it did. I’d say, in 1999, I joined the WWE and pro wrestling and then went to TNA. If MMA would have blown up, I would have done it. I would have gone full blown into it. But, I was so far into it, main eventing WrestleManias, that there was no way for me to turn back. I do love pro wrestling and being with TNA — I don’t regret it, but it just wasn’t the right time. The money was in pro wrestling at the time.

Dana White Saying  He Agreed To Be On The Ultimate Fighter 10 and Then The Deal Falling Through: “That is true. The hard part about it was that Dana and I never had a problem with money. I met with Dana at different times — two times to be exact — where I went out to Las Vegas and sat down with Dana White. I even took the UFC physical. The problem was the starting date. He wanted me ready in four and a half weeks. I did not think I would be ready at that particular time.

“I didn’t want to go in there half-hearted, I didn’t want to embarrass myself. I wanted 3-6 months but at the time, he couldn’t give me that time. I respect Dana White and his decision and my decision, I hope he can respect that as well.”

Whether or not He and Brock Lesnar Had A Legit Wrestling Match In WWE & Who Won: “A, it is true. What happened was Brock Lesnar came in and he said I was too small and he was too big for me. I kept challenging him every week. Eventually, we got in the ring and we went at it. I’ll just say that I got the better of him but I can tell you that Brock Lesnar is an animal, he’s a beast. At his prime — and I want to say before he got sick — I wanna say he’s one of the baddest guys on the planet.

“He had the strength, the quickness, the finesse. you don’t have a guy that size that can do the things he did. He wasn’t just a great pro wrestler, he was a great MMA fighter. He would have gotten better if he didn’t get sick. I think that the sickness that he had definitely brought him down a couple notches to where he really wasn’t the real Brock Lesnar.

Whether He’d Still Consider Doing An MMA Fight: “I can’t say yes or no. I’m 43. I tried out for the Olympics last year and I kept getting injured. It was one of those things where I was wrestling great, I think I could have made the team but I just kept getting injured. I’m 43-years old, my body is breaking down. The pro wrestling hasn’t helped me.

“It’s probably no, but if the offers good enough, you never know. Kurt Angle might be in the MMA octagon.”

  • Konnan Reveals More Details On Kurt Angle’s Claim That Vince McMahon Sent Him Flowers

    MLW Podcast
    Hosts: Konnan and Court Bauer
Available for free at MLW.com,on iTunes

This week on MLW Radio, available right now on www.MLW.com, Konnan spoke with co-host Mister Saint Laurent as well as Court Bauer about a recent locker room incident with Kurt Angle while Kurt was wrestling for AAA at TripleMania. The incident was the result of an earlier MLW Radio podcast in the spring where Konnan had revealed that while he was in TNA, Kurt Angle had confided in him that Vince McMahon had tried to lure Kurt back to WWE by regularly sending him flowers. Kurt responded via Twitter vehemently denying the allegations. Fast forward to TripleMania in August, per Konnan:

“Remember when we were talking about Kurt Angle? I was like, hey, cool dude. I even marked out when I heard he was coming to TNA, but give me a break about the flowers thing. People sending him tweets telling him ‘Konnan said you got flowers from Vince’ and he said I was delusional.”

“Well he showed up in Mexico for a show, for Triplemania, about a month and a half ago and we hadn’t talked since [the flower controversy]. He came in and literally for like the first three hours he wouldn’t even speak a word to me. He wouldn’t even look at me when I was going over the match. Obviously I’m going to have to tell the guy that he did say [Vince sent him flowers]. Maybe he doesn’t remember it, but we have to squash it because I can’t work like this.”

“And then I don’t know what happened, but he just totally chilled out. Without me talking to him, all of a sudden he’s very serious, wouldn’t talk or look at me and then the next minute he was alright and like hugging me.”

  • Matt Morgan Crashes Another TNA Live Event, Kurt Angle Working Injured

    – Matt Morgan crashed another TNA live event this weekend from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Morgan came down through the crowd during a match between Miss Tessmacher and Tara, arguing with Atlas Security before taking a seat at ringside.

Later in the evening, Morgan got physical after the Jeff Hardy vs. James Storm match ended in a time limit draw. As fans were chanting for the match to continue, Morgan leveled referee Brian Stifler with his Carbon Footprint kick. Morgan got a huge pop from the crowd and was removed from the arena by security.

    – Kurt Angle worked the Wilkes-Barre, PA Show and wrestled twice, despite an injury to either his knee or his hamstring (there are conflicting reports on this). Angle worked a short match against Daniels early in the night and teamed with AJ Styles and Austin Aries in the main event against Bobby Roode, Daniels and Kazarian. AJ Styles and Austin Aries helped Angle to the back after the match and Angle did not take part in the post-show autograph signing event, as advertised.

    Angle tweeted on Monday:

  • Kurt Angle On Whether Austin Aries Is To Small To Be TNA Champion & More

Kurt Angle recently spoke to ChadDukesWrestlingShow.com about whether he’s still interested in MMA, helping young talent get over, whether Austin Aries is too small to be TNA World champion & more. Here are some highlights of what Angle said about:

Whether he’s still interested in competing in mixed martial arts: “The last time I talked was two and a half years ago with Dana White, I took the UFC physical. We just couldn’t come to terms on a starting time. I wanted it 3-6 months, Dana needed me in four and a half weeks and I understand he wanted me to be ready and he needed me at that point and it just wasn’t gonna work out.”

When asked whether White had an opponent in mind for Angle, he responded, “Well, they wanted me to be on Ultimate Fighter but I told them I wouldn’t do it for free. So he came up with a very nice deal, that being I would get paid very well for that, thank god, and a 6 fight deal. I didn’t want to go in there half prepared. I wanted to go in there full blown. I’m 43 now, I tried out for the Olympics or I was going to and I got injured five different times last year. So my body’s just not holding up the way I want it to so I don’t think it’s going to be a possibility.”

On being the go-to guy in assisting new talent in getting over: “I really enjoyed it, I took it as a compliment. At TNA they did the same thing. They’d bring in somebody like the Pope or Mr. Anderson or whoever else that was coming in that was coming from WWE or had somewhat of a name, the first program they’d do would be with me. I’ve always enjoyed that it’s a good challenge and Desmond Wolfe was another one that came from Ring of Honor. So I like that and I know that the company has faith in me. Both WWE did and TNA had the faith in me to make the guys look as good as I could.”

Whether Austin Aries is too small to be TNA World Heavyweight Champion: “No. I think Austin Aries as champion, I think he deserves it, he’s an awesome talent. Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero, unfortunately their tragedies really damaged the ability for smaller guys to step up and become champions. I don’t know why but I think they were just unfortunate. I don’t think it was because of their size, I think they were just terrible tragedies that happened with both those families and it’s gotten a little bit of a bad reputation now, the under 6 foot club and I don’t think it should be that way. I think any size is a good size.”
